I have some pretty exciting predictions for 2024 . And so let's dive in , because I think they will serve and support you . Obviously , these have to do with growing a business , marketing a business and selling and all of those things , so listen in as we get through these predictions . The first one I'm gonna have to say is I don't think it's gonna go away .
I don't think it's went away . I think it's just gotten stronger over the years . It's obviously visibility video is going to continue to play a major role in the year 2024 .
I think it's crucial that we find a way to separate ourselves from everyone else , and the fastest , quickest , easiest way to do that is with video , because if somebody else is doing video and you're doing video , there's no absolute way it's the same . Now , maybe if you're doing TikToks , maybe if you're doing trending reels .
However , if you're actually talking face to cam , no one is like you no one , and that , right there , sets you apart and attracts and also repels your people at the same time .
This is another thing that I think is really important for trends in 2024 , but I'm gonna say it right now in this , when you have the passion and the conviction and you were showing up online , it will flow through a video much quicker than it will text . People are gonna see your conviction Now .
They may see your conviction through text posts as well , but it's not gonna happen in one post . Most likely it's gonna take multiple . So what if we could compile that like rate , fast track , that through video , through visibility ? I think that's very , very important moving into 2024 . I know many of you are on video , so how can we increase it ?
How can we get a little bit more uncomfortable ? We can't just show up and do the same . All video Shouldn't continuously be easy . I know , right , you should be pushing yourself , you should be stretching yourself . You should be getting uncomfortable . You should be getting vulnerable with your audience .
Those are all important things as we go into 2024 that are gonna set you apart from everyone else . The second thing is and I know this is gonna come up AI is not going anywhere at all and I know that it scares a lot of people . I've been one of those people . I remember well , before chatGPT came out , there was a program called what was called Jarvis .
Then it got changed because I think that was like encringing on Marvel or Disney or something . I can't remember what did . I don't remember what it got changed to , but it was Jarvis , and then it got changed to something else , but that was like two years before chatGPT came around .
It was not a big deal , like there were a lot of people using it and it was kind of one of those things I was using it when I remembered it wasn't just something that I used all the time , but I also used it . I don't know if I'm too much of a control freak , but I use it to make my things sound better .
I'm not ready to give up complete control of my words and also , I've done really well with the words that I have , right . Can I up , level them ? Yes , can I stretch myself ? Absolutely , absolutely . But I don't like . My voice is important , right , and so I don't want that to get taken away by AI .
So a friend of mine was telling me about like the GPT bots , I think is what they're calling them . I'm not an expert in AI , I'm just going to throw that out there . I know enough to be dangerous , and so I've been feeding my bot all of my videos and my or the transcripts from my videos and the transcripts from my podcast , just to see .
Can this sound more like me , has it yet . It's still on the fence , but you know , I'll give it a chance , I'll give it its own chance and we'll see what happens . However , right now , what I love is that I can give , and I've loved this , like I said , for two years . Before chat , gpt showed up , what ? In November of 2022 . So back in 2000, .
Yeah , it was in 2000 that we were using , started using AI . Now , I don't think it was as popular because it wasn't free right , there wasn't a free version . But I love it to make things sound more cohesive , because sometimes I , in my brain , am a jumbled mess , and so I do love it to kind of organize my thoughts and make it sound a little better .
I love it to like put in a , like a quote that I've written or something and say can we make this more potent ? Can I create this as a hook ?
And sometimes I think that we have a lot on us and we're thinking a lot and we're making a lot of decisions , and so I think in that aspect that you know , chat , gpt or whatever AI that you use , can be very , very supportive of that . So if it can help you make your marketing more potent , then do it .
But here's the thing If there is no conviction or passion behind what you're doing and what you're saying , chat , gpt isn't going to help you , ai isn't going to help you . That gets to come within us , that gets to come in , and the energy that we put out right , like communication , is 7% the words that we say , like 7% of the words I'm saying right now .
It's also our posture , or the way that we show up right , our body language . That plays a huge part into our communication , way more than the words that we're actually saying . People get a feeling right , people get a vibe .
A vibe and feeling are you putting out and that's really , really important , and I think that's the third thing that I'll say that's gonna be really important in 2024 . You're gonna have to be real , you're gonna have to be convicted , you're gonna have to be passionate .
I'm not saying 24 , seven and I'm not saying like 100% of every piece of content , because that's not always possible . We all have moments where like , ugh , let's go get a nine to five . This would be so much easier . However , for the most part , show up with conviction .
If you need to get yourself in a convicted state , get yourself in a convicted state , like , think to yourself what happens to people if they don't work with me or they don't work with anybody that's like me or that can help them do the thing they really wanna do . Put yourself back in their shoes , like , how did I feel when I was in this situation ?
My before state right , my before transformation , the before I got results ?
Put yourself in their shoes and remember how that feels , that feeling and that vibe or that energy that you put out whatever you wanna call it right , the confidence , whatever you wanna call it , is everything and it backs up everything that you say and also some things that you don't say . So remember that as you are putting content out .
I think also in 2024 , our content gets to be tighter . Our content gets to again be more convicted and passionate , and that's very , very important . We have enough noise online . Stop adding to the noise and add to the value , add to the mini wins , add to the mini masterclass style content . How can you put more of that out for your audience ?
The other thing that I think will be very , very important in 2024 is again just the reversing your content , having a platform or many platforms that you're consistent on . I don't think you need to be everywhere , but I think we don't put all of our eggs in the meta basket . Where else are we putting them ? Meta is Instagram and Facebook . Are we doing YouTube ?
Are we doing TikTok ? Are we doing Pinterest ? Are we doing LinkedIn , like ? Where else are we going ? Are we writing blogs ? Are we doing podcasts ? Are we doing podcasts ? As far as visibility goes in 2024 , get in front of other people's audiences . Widen the audience that you have .
If you can get on stages , get on stages , get in front of other people's audiences . It's going to support you and serve you so much and help you be more known , right ? The other thing I think for 2024 , it's not going to go away and that is becoming searchable . I mean , if you're not already searchable , find a way to be .
Work on your SEO , work on your keywords , even on platforms , right On platforms . How searchable are you on YouTube ? How searchable are you on Facebook or Instagram ? Find ways to be searchable for your ideal person . And with AI , with all of these things that are happening , I think we've got to remember that again . Social media , first of all .
We are blessed I know some people may not think that we are so blessed to be able to grow a business online and literally never go meet people in person if we don't want to right . That's actually possible . However , the introvert of me loves that right , but the connection part of me doesn't love that . I love seeing people in person .
It's one of the reasons that we have four visible accelerators every single year because it's a time to get together , it's a time to co-work , it's a time to see each other , to connect right , and I think it's really , really important . So , if you can't get in front of people in person , are you connecting online ? Are you genuinely engaging with your audience ?
Are you genuinely asking people how they're doing ? Are you genuinely connecting with zero expectation in return , meaning I'm just showing you some love , I'm just being kind . I'm a human being . I don't expect anything out of you . If we end up , if something comes out of this , that's amazing , but that's not my intention .
It's truly just to love on you and be kind and make a connection , and that's not going to go away . Not at all , ever . That is how we connect with people . Now , sometimes people connect with us and never talk to us , and that is very , very possible . I have people buy from me all the time that have never spoken to me .
However , some people need more of that conversation to create that trust to pull out their credit card , and that's also okay . Depends on where you're at in your business . It depends on where you're at with your trust level . It depends on if you've been burned before . There's a lot of factors that go into there . So why are we not engaging ?
I'll never forget I commented on someone's post one time and she said oh my God , chrissy Connor is commenting on my post . And I was like what ? Like I'm not too good . I don't think I'm too good to comment on people's posts . I don't think I'm too like . I've made it . I'm doing your quotes . Right now .
I've gotten to a place where I don't have to comment on people's stuff . No , not at all . I believe I show up . I give massive value . I believe that I also engage with my audience , not just the people that comment on my stuff . You guys know , if you've listened for long enough , you know that I got a lot of lurkers . I'm okay with that .
So if you have a lot of lurkers , you attract introverts , right . How are you going to engage with them if they're not commenting on your stuff ? If they're watching you , go out and purposely engage . You know , I did a LinkedIn training with a friend of mine .
She's really really good at LinkedIn and ran for like ran LinkedIn for really big corporations and she was talking about engaging and it was like my first thought this is full transparency . My first thought was , like really , I feel like I engage on Instagram and Facebook the most , the most for sure , on those two platforms .
I don't know that I have the capacity to engage on LinkedIn . I can post on LinkedIn , but I don't have the capacity . So she suggested a longer time period . But I was just like you know what ? I'm just going to go in .
I'm just going to like every time I post , I'll just go in and comment , like I'll go engage with people and really to see what's out there . And it's this funny thing that you know LinkedIn's like the funny thing with me . I have so many stories with LinkedIn . But I started engaging .
Like in a week later , all of a sudden , my comments increase on my own content and again , it's just one of those things that's so funny . But it's not because I know this , I know this , and so it's like where are you wanting more of something ?
But you're not willing to do it Like yeah , I know my audience is mostly lurkers , I know they're not all , you know , waiting around to comment on my stuff , but also , where can I improve in that ? And you know I'm a big believer . If you want something , what are you doing , right ? So we have talked about predictions for 2024 .
We've talked about , obviously , video , ai . We've talked about messaging and getting tighter and more potent . We've talked about engaging with our audience . We've talked about getting in front of other people's audiences , and I think these are all key . And here's the thing , with the exception of AI . I wouldn't have predicted AI as well .
I don't know if I did it last year or not . I don't know if it wasn't . I mean , it was big , but to me it had been big already . But I really feel like it blew up over the last 12 months and I think you know these things are oh . I do have one more .
I do have one more prediction and it's again , it's not a mindblower or anything like that , but it is being consistent . And again , when we have tight , potent messaging and we're on video and we're getting in front of other people's audiences and we're also consistent , you have to remember that people don't see every piece of content .
Most people don't see every piece of content that you put out , unless they purposely go to your page and your feed and go see it .
However , the more consistent we are and I don't mean you need to live on social media , but the more consistent we are with that potency and with that passion and with that tight messaging , the more people we're going to attract , the more people we're going to warm up , the more people we're going to turn into raving fans , and I think that's vital .
Consistency matters in everything we do , in everything we do . I've had a question on my free group for three , four years and one of the questions is what do you struggle with the most ? I think I've changed it .
When it comes to growing your business , I've added I've changed it from when it comes to growing your business , when it comes to marketing your business , I've had a couple of different questions . It's always been what do you struggle with the most ?
98% of the time , people say being consistent , being consistent , being consistent , that compound effect right , and most of us don't reach our goals because of the systems we don't have in place or the systems we're not willing to put in place , which is the consistent actions . So where can you improve this ? Where can you build on this ?
Remember , it's not talent , it's not luck , it's not good intentions , it's consistent actions . They get you where you want to go , and I think that is the perfect prediction to end for what's going to happen in 2024 and those that are going to succeed and those that are not going to succeed . I think that this is very , very , very important .
The thing with consistency is that we do it without instant gratification , over and over and over , and eventually this crazy thing happens and it feels like we're getting instant gratification . What we've really been doing is for 90 days , six months , consistently , with nothing , and then all of a sudden it shows up .
But because it's so easy to not see the results , it's also very easy to not do , to skip a day , skip a couple of days , and then we think back well , I've been consistent , oh yeah , but I have missed a lot . But what if we didn't ? What if we found a way ? Being consistent on social media isn't hard . We just make it hard .
Being consistent on video isn't hard , we just make it hard . We make it hard by the things that we tell ourselves . So go into 2024 . Being excited about the journey , not just the result and the goal that you want to reach , and see how much of a game changer that is for you .
