Episode description

Tammi and Sondra are happy to welcome Katie Bickell to the show. Katie is a Mama and writer from Alberta whom they discovered because of a stunning essay she penned that went viral entitled, Moms Tell Me To Drink. They talk about the shame and regret that was all too prevalent before she quit drinking and how that was such a huge block to her creativity. They talk about how our children are watching us closer than we sometimes want to think, and they talk about all of the utterly confusing drinking messages society aims at Mothers. It is more than a Mom’s issue, it is a woman’s issue and they think no matter if you are a parent or not, you will find some relevance in this rich conversation. You can catch up with all of Katie’s work at http://katiebickell.com/. This week Katie shares three items from her Unruffled Toolbox: (1) Sleep; (2) Journaling; and (3) Female Friendships.
