Kaityn tells the story that follows police Sergeant Adam Dalgliesh as he attempts to go to his aunts house for Christmas Eve dinner. On his way, he is flagged down by a man on the side of the road trying to get to a phone box. The man tells him that his uncle has just committed suicide and he is trying to inform the police...
