Hi, this is Stephanie Maas. Today I wanna talk to you about candidate risk aversion. Some real aversion to making moves and some of the reasonings behind it have been, you know, the phrase, Hey, I don't wanna be last in, first out when the recession comes. I know we're not in recession now, but I wanna be smart about that. Hey, you know, I don't, I don't know how all this is gonna shake out and I don't wanna be R in my decisioning. I'm gonna kind of wait and see, see what happens, et cetera.
Some of it has been. There's just been a lot of newer players come into our market and folks are saying, Hey, you know, we, we, we are gonna wait and see what they do. Let's see how committed they really are to being here. It's not a new concept. We have definitely seen it throughout the years. I wanted to share this message, especially for, you know, hiring managers.
If you've sensed frustration in your recruiting efforts, if you feel like, Hey, I've been on a search and I haven't seen the quantity of candidates that we normally do. This is a lot of what's going on. And the same time candidates, if you are having these feelings, believe it or not, and this sounds weird coming from a recruiter. I still believe that making a career move is a tremendous decision for you and your family. If you are not sure, you probably do need to wait.
