Episode description

The Stone Chapel Podcasts Hosted by David Capes John Peckham <- Back to Episodes John Peckham, Divine Attributes Dr. John Peckham, professor of theology and Christian philosophy at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, is a fine young scholar, and he has written a new book entitled, Divine Attributes: Knowing the Covenantal God of Scripture (Baker Academic, 2021). He joins David Capes on “The Stone Chapel” to talk about his book which is a great contribution to knowing the God whom the church adores and worships.  Thoroughly immersed in Scripture, Peckham’s theology of God tackles tough questions and comes up with sobering and clear answers.  Does God change? Does God have emotions? Does God know everything, including the future? Is God all-powerful? Does everything that happens fit into God’s will? Is God entirely good and loving?  How can God be one and yet three persons?  This is a superb book, and Capes and Peckham had a great conversation.
