The following program is a collection of dudes talking about the happenings in the CrossFit world. It is meant to be comedic, informative. The opinions, especially those of JY, do not necessarily reflect the beliefs of others on the show. If you take things out of context, please reconsider watching. Oh, and it's just a thruster. And you know what that is? Enjoy the show. It's just a thruster and we know what it is. Got out, Becky. Harsh. Yeah, welcome November 13th to Spin.
We're back. Have you guys recovered from the rogue imitational spin cast and strong cast? I took a nap. I don't ever take naps and I took a nap like I think later that day on Sunday. I routinely take naps and I I. Still took a nap. Still took a nap. Yeah, just routine for me, man. You got to connect your your microphone. John's been having mic issues today. Yeah, get with the program and they said my mic was all jacked up, hasn't been jacked up for any any other thing, but it said
it was jacked up for them. You may have just changed the settings on it. I thought that was a good one. It sounded just like Becky. It wasn't bad but Maple lady doesn't like it that AI wasn't as. Good. Come on, Seema. I tried to get drunk Pedro, but it just got confused. Couldn't couldn't figure out drunk Pedro. But yeah, Becky harsh helping start the show. Well, before we get into it, to it, I do want to bring up and we have a little goal for this evening.
Do we? Yeah, John and Leslie. No snap. Baby date January 21st. It's coming the. Registry is out there first. All super chats that you put out there during the show will go towards buying something. So we'll put out a vote depending on how much we raise over the next however long, and we'll figure out what we want to buy together. So throughout the Super chats, we'll buy what was what was Abigail. Yes. Abby. Abby Grace.
Yeah. You could put the link in the in the description or link in the chat or something to it because it's not on her crochet site. It's not told anything. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know how that stuff works, but anything, anything is appreciated. We just got the registry finalized. We're excited. Don't feel like you have to, but yeah, we just got it out there. Yeah, what's, what is it? What does John need? Look at all this business. Yeah, let's do that.
Jeanette's just giving. Me money so I give you guys money that's the only reason she's. Look at that. To trick you into doing it back. All right, I got to now. 20 bucks from Jeanette. She has one coming up her way too $10 vindicate. Get up one of those backpacks. He said the pre-order is ending soon. I asked him if those really shiny white. Ones. After the pre-order pricing he wasn't going to tell me, but I would say go ahead and take your bet.
Get a pre-order. Those backpacks, the white ones look pretty sweet. Map lady for Abby's first barbell, Denis Olari. Congratulations Grant, the baby will be a specialist. Oh man, we got to keep up and Add all this up 30 another 2050. We got 100 right now, guys. Geez. Just like, yeah, I just want you to go to the link and click on things. That's not I. Mean this works good this. Works too, I just. Buy it out, right? Yeah. Yeah, yeah. We're just going to do it. So yeah, that's out there.
Every every super chat you guys do we will be adding to the fund also. Also, sorry, sorry, you want to go or do you want? Me to go, you go. Did you? Did you read your mom's text first? I did. I did. Jesus, John, if she's got to text you through the chat, this is a problem. I I want to wish my grandma Georgia a happy birthday. It is her birthday today so I want to make sure and say happy birthday. Happy birthday, Georgia. She watches the show every single, every single week.
She does she really? Oh, she, they eat it up. They figured out YouTube and it's a wrap. They, they got Facebook down like 3 years ago and like, YouTube's very, you know, newly figured out. But no, they're all about it. Working their way up. Shelly Young. She'll be the cutest little granddaughter ever. Natalie, thank you for the baby crap. And if it's Oreo, Congrats to the young family. My uncle does that every year. Like on my birthday he'll text me in a real snide way like
that. It's like for baby crap. He'll be like way to be born. That's awesome. That's awesome. I guess we get to it. We got the mountains coming up, so stay tuned for that. We'll recap our rogue takeaways we watched. I don't know it does. Well, grandpa, I didn't know this. He fought in Vietnam, so he hates Asians too. So it's we're all on the same thing. I'm just kidding. I'm. Just. He did not fight in Vietnam. We we love all the Asian people.
I got Asian neighbors. They're actually really great. I've never met them. So that's and that's how I prefer my neighbors. So. I never met them. I want to love Tyler too, right? Absolutely. At some point, whatever he gets. His house a couple months after me, yeah. He's coming, He's coming, do. You know he. Is it? Yeah, it's a boy. Oh, congratulations, I didn't. Know.
Thanks dude. Yeah, well, it's the I felt bad for Jeanette. She wanted a girl, but I told her straight up that the only the first female born in the Watkins family in 40 years was born last year. Wait, that's a wrap. That's it for us. Maybe the next one. Yeah, maybe I'm hoping so for her. Bob Marinaro 20 bucks so John's baby Abigail won't be naked. Oh, thank you, Bob. There we go, viewer comments. We had a lot to choose from this
time. The thumbnail has a little bit of a hint of what we're getting at, but here we go. Seiza, 1713. It's going to be after me. Thoughts and prayers for the US citizens who voted against themselves. Clearly your education system needs some improvement. Lol it's a little political humor there. We that's why we got rid of the Board of Edge or the, the what was it called of education, The not the board of age. You had it, yeah. Yeah. Is it the US Board of Education?
No, it's it's Department of Education. That's why we got to fix that problem. Yeah, at Nick Hope, Tyler looks like the love child of Taylor Self and Stone Cold Steve Austin. I think. You look like Stone Cold more than Taylor. That's good. That's good. Yeah, at Fetty Fence, that facial hair makes Tyler look like a younger, ginger version of Walter White. Which is already ginger. I ain't to compliment Walter White's a genius. And I. Hope I grow into that.
I I had to just shave it off this week. I you. Want to grow into Walter White? Yeah, Dad is ruthless. I I I could use a little more. I. I don't want to be your enemy. I I'm talking about work with you, but I you know, I want to be friends. Oh trust me, if I ever like knew I was walking into the end of my life and I knew I had like a year or two left, I'm 100% making meth or doing something no. You said doing meth, not making. Doing meth and making it. Well, I do not count me.
Listen, if you ever want me in on heat one, I'm super down. I'm out on the meth business. I'm not, I'm not Listen, I'm the guy that gets trapped in the cage for six months. That's that's me. And I don't. I don't want it. Colt powers another 20 bucks. Congrats man JY, let's get together for a workout soon. He is. Anytime come by the gym full share. Barkley Barkley, Abbey's college fund. So you can't use that on the registry. You got to put it into a savings account. Sorry.
What if she What if she didn't go against college? Might not even be college. Might not even be college. You can do the American Academy for free. Start start thinking college is a scam a little bit. Me too. As much money as you spent on college, John. And watching, yeah, that's part of it. And I don't use anything I mean. He taste tested all of it and it was all bad. Yeah. Same here, John. Been watching a lot of Charlie Kirk lately. It's growing on me. Good deal.
Let's see at like at Simon Holiday. Is Tyler planning on brewing some meth in Albuquerque? Ginger Bryan Cranston much? It's a it's a long term plan. There was a theme going on in the in the comments at Kathy Stan. I was feeling sad today and then Tyler gave us picks for Rogue and now I'm happy. Hey, I did pretty good you. Cheered somebody up that day. That's good. This was this might have been the best you've ever done. Yeah, I, I actually do think it was, yeah. Like you.
Were I was like top 30 or something? You beat Smith. Yeah, well, I didn't put in if I did not if I had put my scores. Rookie mistake, Rookie mistake. I don't know. I would have been. Probably do you? Think I would have been afforded that luxury had I done something like that. Absolutely not. And you know how many DMS people like I beat you in heat one. It doesn't matter like I'm. Sorry, I was too busy trying to get the.
Show how did I do 28th? 28th yeah, that's got to be a. Record I would have just picked to you instead of Hayley Adams in the pack. Event I. Win the entire thing. That's shout out devastating. I know I already talked about it. I'll I'll get with the program. Guess what's all Absolutely that influenced the mountain? Hayley's drop is solely because of that event. Off the mountain on the Cliff, Jen Rudd shout out winner of heat one for the Rogue Invitational. Good job.
Congratulations, Jen. It was a good contest at not a not a Chin. We will have money next time, we promise. Yeah, John, give us your bets so we can do it too. Was that my sports? I think so. Sports bets. Well, now that you mention it, starting this coming Monday. Monday. Monday. Is that you agreed upon Tyler? That works for me. Hell with it we're. Going to need to figure out who's going to be the host of this. Yeah, I know so. We.
We rely. On Big hard, I'm not a big host guy I like, so on Monday, six o'clock 6:30. We'll figure out the timing around then on Monday. It's all. Fluctuating. Yeah, yeah, Yeah, we are going. It's not going to be CrossFit, but it is going to be on this channel.
It's going to be the first sports, sports betting or just sports pick show that we have and just going to kind of be betting slash, gambling slash, just making picks are like if you're in a survival pick thing with your friends or anything like that. We're going to have our first sports pick show. It's going to be me, Tyler and a good friend of mine, Jason Leff and yeah, DraftKings underdogs,
anything like that. And it's just going to be us kind of this is what we think we're, this is what we're going to do. I will I will say this John, John is very good. He's he's killed it this far in the year. I picked it up just because the heat won like as an ability to learn more about sports gambling and all that stuff. So I'm not good at it, but I think I can make a hell of an alright. Well, I just want to say that for people who who like don't.
You're actually trying to copy our our stuff. Well, not only that, but like if you don't know anything about sports gambling, it doesn't matter. Like I'm learning too. And I'll be like, hey, I found, I found, sorry if I'm yelling. So I found out this or I'm looking at it this way and we'll learn together.
Yeah, and I and I look I look at it as a game I like and I'm trying to win the game like like and it's it's like I put the hard analytical look on it and you'll see like peek into how Tyler's mind works, how mine mine works, how Jason's mind works. Got it. I found out I'm found out I'm trash at basketball. I'm never betting anything basketball because I'm terrible. I'm so bad at basketball. But football, NBA basketball, yeah, NBA basketball haven't dabbled in college basketball.
College is college is we leave the Tyler NFL is kind of my thing and like I'm like plus two or three. I have to do the math on it. It's like 2 to 3 grand in there. I have a spreadsheet that keeps track of it, but. All. Right. But I'm pretty good with the NFL and then we're going to leave the NBA to Jason and and then we're just kind of just going to have talk and try to have a good, good time with it. It's nothing serious. None of us are professional gamblers. We're not betting anything
crazy. It's all money that we have. We're not losing money or putting everything in doubt. I haven't even got the OK with Leslie. She I tried to hide it from her. She found out we had a it was, it was a talk. It definitely was a, a marital talk, but but we're on board now. We're good. It's not illegal. We figured it out. So. So we're good to go. What? What am I supposed to say here? If you have a problem call 1800. I I have an addiction or something like that.
I've heard I've heard that when you call that number, they actually give you locks for your next bet. Do they really? Get back in the black. No. Oh. Be like I actually got a tip on a heater that'll get you. In the black. Listen buddy, we'll work you. Out of this. I've got the. Pics. And then you just stop. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But it's going to be on Monday. It should be fun. We really don't know what we're doing with the podcast part. Spin's not going to be there,
but we will figure it out. We're going to learn with you guys. Oh, it's one 809 with it. That's what you call if you have a gambling problem. With that is that is that 9NE IN? Is it like? Drilling. I'm not with it. I'm not with it. Well, that's it for the viewer comments. So yeah, check them. Check out those guys Monday night at some time whenever they feel like going on 1800. Gambler might be the number. And yeah, throw your comments down there. We'll read them next week.
And this is also your weekly reminder. Subscribe. Trying to get the 9000 by the end of the year. So Rogue Invitational got some takeaways. I have an idea, sorry. One more thing we should with the gym has a bring a friend week. You should have We should have a Bring a friend week to the Spin show. That's the case that you've ever. We'll give them a prize or something. Bring bring your buddy to bring your buddy. And watch her. Hey, and they'll subscribe and
we'll get to 10K immediately. That stuff, you're like, you're working too much at the school. They're they're indoctrinating you with some stuff right now. Hey no, it's got nothing to do with the school, it's the gym. Bad man. It's the gym. All right. Bring a buddy to your podcast. Don't bring your friends, fuck them. What the freak was that dude? Oh my gosh. Yes, please share.
Please share but but but yeah, but do share the link, you know, yeah, like do do get the the show out there as much like and subscribe all the stuff. All right, Rogue takeaways. Rogue. Takeaways. Jesus Christ. Oh. Man I guess first thing I was not aware of how fired up people got about P score. Dude, it's a hot topic man. Sorry, it's got me. OK, Yeah. P score we'll get. We'll add right after this. We're going to get to it. I'm a big, I listen to the Nate
Land podcast. It's it's Nate Bargatze. He's just a comedian and it's just, it's just 4 comedians. They had this pod similar to us, but you know, it's, it's they talk about random stuff. We talk about CrossFit, but just four guys that are, are comedians different levels of comedic success. One's really big success. And then there's like a guy who just does comedy local in Nashville, like just churches and they have a podcast
literally talk about nothing. Just they pick a topic and they try to talk about it. And it's like we're going to talk about the sense of smell today, like and that's and. That's where they start and they sing it off of that. Right, right. And and and they have like 100,000 like 50,000 views every podcast, but like I'm a big fan of that. I tried to get one of my friends into like this. These people are hilarious, man. He listened like 10 minutes. He's like, you listen to it Like
what? Like like like it's just, it's just not the scent. You either got to be in it or you're not in it, man. Like it's, it's like a really hard. You don't get it man. You had to be there. It's true, like it's just you don't get it. But anyway, sorry, I just thought that was a funny thing. It reminded me of that. But go ahead, rotate. Andrew Hiller liked your idea, Tyler. Peace. Thanks, Hiller. You hate it or you love it?
No one in the middle. Yeah, Tyler did his calculations after a day or two and I was like, oh, I'll post this, It'll be interesting. Just like let's try an article and see how it goes. I thought it's hilarious because you I thought you knew. What? Knew what? What you were getting into How? Contentious it was. I had no idea. I figured people were like, that's stupid, why would I care about some hypothetical scoring system? Whatever. What were the metrics? What's that? What?
Were the metrics. What do we have? It was 700 page views in the first like 15 minutes or something like that. It's like 1000 on the first one. People unfollowed them from Peace Corps than Lazar. It was crazy. I wouldn't be surprised. Yeah. And so the Tyler David only training Mr. Fuykowski's coach. So. This is why he's he's but Kowski's coach. You tell you tell me when to tap in cuz I I've been thinking about how I want to approach this.
Let's read. The conversation yeah, so and then we'll let Tyler and then and then you'll let you go I'll. Tell you at what point I knew it was Brent's coach, I thought for like the first 4 messages that this was just some Internet troll like regular commenter. Yeah. So go ahead, continue so. Tyler Tyler playful like laughing at it. We're good. This is me and the. Strongest No. This, this first message is really important, what he says. Possibly the worst scoring system ever.
It's gotten 22 likes. But I mean your response is fine. Tyler laughs at it. That's what. I'm saying yeah. Mr. E, you obviously don't know how it works then. Taking up for you. Very familiar with it. It's terrible. OK, Shelby Neal. Still don't know. I still don't know it. Says that David only trained kind. Of odd that you know. Well, Shelby, Shelby's been up
there and. Elite Crossfitter, elite Crossfitter, but I'm saying for Tyler kind of odd, like an elite Crossfitter would act some random person and agree with me you. Know, that's when I started to think it was a little weird, but I was like, all right, Shelby hates it. OK, No, no big deal. I joked you speak before the men's leaderboard has been recalculated, thinking maybe, just maybe, Brent has a chance of moving up. You were you were really
throwing a bet there. Yeah, you're reaching reaching for a a branch, not there. Come on, peace score. That's when Tyler starts trying to be civil. Care to share your thoughts? Were unfiltered or just unfiltered or articulated hate. And then Tyler's starting to figure it out. I think he's kind of he's. Like this is what I figured out. Looking into whoever this guy is right now. Yep. He then says that he doesn't care about whether Brent Fukowski would have gotten better or worse.
He said let's wait 10 minutes while we get the calculator out. It's a slam to you there, Tyler, and he's back at it. Announcers don't understand it. It's not viewer friendly. A favorite specialist in a sport were the exact opposite of what were you're looking for, just to name a few. And then it just gets it like, like just gets into it. I'm still civil at this point, like and my my response to him on that was. That was a great comeback.
Crash was so important and it's like, yeah, I've been hyping it up. But like, I truly think it added, I, I, I asked Jr. to unfuck me if, if I was really like getting sideways or too hype on myself. But I felt like Peace Corps created situations in which we really cared and it created more hype that would otherwise not exist. John, would you agree or
disagree? They created stories that would not be there otherwise, like, oh, the the fact that you could say, what do I need to beat this person by to make up this gap? That's and that's kind of the point that you're trying to make happen. Yeah, it's possible. No matter what the scoring system is, it's possible, if you beat this person by this much, to make that happen. In seconds or reps or pounds. Yeah, correct.
And I even gave David a little leeway here, which I like to try to do in any, any good argument is like meet him a little bit halfway. I tried to tell him like, hey, we could have done a better job at like explaining it on the on the broadcast, but like we had never done that before. And I was trying to figure it out on the fly. And I was trying to articulate it to Bill and John how how to sell this and how how to get people to understand it.
It was our first go. But anyway, we can continue.
And as far as as far as like he's straight up wrong when it says it rewards the specialist more than your, your negative scores or, or whatever he said like like it takes away from it takes away from having like your average person or the versus specialist because like you, I look at the first time you did piece score with Crash and Colton Mertens won four straight events and Hatfield still won the competition overall because he never had one that dropped under whatever was like 10th
place. And Colton, Colton had a bad event. Hatfield didn't. Colton had all these home runs and he still lost, you know what I mean? Like So what regular scoring was, Colton still would have been the same P score. He was still 2nd place to Hatfield in both of those things, right? Having a hole. Hurts. You more than having a home run is what I've noticed. Like a hole hurts you more. Yes, I would. So so in some ways. You have 20 people, like 10th place is always going to be 50
points right? So the most you could ever is is even if there was first place and 10th place out of 1920, like the most you're ever going to gain on on 1st over second place is 50. If you really suck like your ghost on the pegboard, you get lots of negative points. Can't wait till we get to. That negative part? And then keeps going on. And David did watch Crash. Crucible had no clue what's going on the entire time. This isn't That was the worst mistake he made.
The last thing we need to do is add a mathematical equation to sort out where who finished where that appeals to exactly no one when trying to grow the sport. He's very, very. He does not like peace for Tyler. So and that I started to get to him about that. I thought of a really, really good way of thinking about this in in terms of like people won't know what the score is. I could call my brother-in-law who is a big Cowboys fan, but like a regular fan of football.
And I could be like, hey, Kyle, what was the score or what was the Cowboys score going into the second quarter of this game three weeks ago? And he could tell me, tell me one athlete going into the 4th event, what their score was. You couldn't tell me that. Most people, John probably could. John knows way too much about nothing but. How did I get to stray on that? I was being quiet. I was letting see. I could see I wasn't going. To say like well.
I wasn't going to say anything. And then you, well, you got caught a stray there. Come on. Man, but you, you get what I'm saying? Yeah. Would you agree or disagree that I would agree? No one ever really knows what the score is except for you. Look at the leaderboard. Oh, that's the score. Got it. But like, you don't know. And I couldn't tell you what freaking Brent had going into the 5th event. Like I don't know the. Population doesn't know what the leaderboard is until it updates. No.
And like and like and like, yes, I can, I can quick math it the happens of the world can quick math it and like and like, but that's a the, I would say 90% of the population. Well, I'd say it's 99. It's. Just trying to refresh, refresh, refresh. I'd actually argue that the rogue scoring table is more complicated than it needs to be, because every place is worth five points, so you might as well just do open scoring and say one point for first, two points for 2nd. It's the exact. Same.
It wouldn't. It's. Equivalent, yeah. We're just making it bigger numbers and giving 5 point gaps instead of adding by one. There's no difference now game scoring, you get more points, there's more gap separation between the first four and then it goes down to three points and then it goes I think down to two at the very end. So it's not a linear. But like at 73, at 73 which is 10th place is when it starts going by three. And that's changed over time.
Like 18th place is when it starts going by two points, like, but nobody knows that. Like nobody watching knows that. And no, I agree with the sentiment. Like if you can refresh it faster than what they refresh it as it's not it doesn't. It's not that nobody knows what's going to happen and eventually we will get good or Tyler will get good enough where he can say, and I mean, we were getting we're getting better and better out of that crash where like every four seconds is a point.
So like if they beat them by 20 seconds, they made five points on them. And not only that. Perfect. But like every heat, we were able to update like, OK, now it's, you know, and once you get to the last heat, it's kind of like set in stone, you know what I'm saying? But it's just not common knowledge. Right. So let me go ahead and hit up AN here. Yeah, AN 1999 baby barbell. Fun. Love the name. We're up to 220 guys, 220.
What you have to understand about P score and why I ever came up with this is because I want to know what the top athletes can do. And so the way I constructed it, if you don't know what P score is, if you beat by somebody by a second versus a minute, but there's, it's still first or second like that matters. That difference in their performance matters. And I wanted to find a way to quantify that. The, my thought the process is behind it was to always implement it at the games.
I don't know that it's appropriate in every circumstance, but I built it for the Games and my thought process on it was the top 20 athletes in any event at the CrossFit Games are likely the fittest athletes at that event in the world. The bottom 20 you could probably feel with a bunch of other athletes that might fit in there. And so they'd I don't want to take them into consideration.
I am scoring for the fittest on earth and so we get into this conversation about negatives and how you score the bottom and I'm like you forgetting the entire point. We're rewarding the fittest athletes on earth. Why are you so concerned about hurting the worst athletes? Feeling sorry you're you're a ghost. But like bro, you didn't do the work. Everyone else finished that workout and you got, you got one Rep, but you got halfway through the pegboard.
You didn't make it the whole way through. And everybody finished the 182 reps or whatever it was. Right. And like, you could argue like 56,000 points or whatever it was was too harsh. OK, that's fine. I have a different way of doing that. But David here didn't want to get into that. He just wanted to throw shit and not articulate it. And it gets way deeper than this, because David's a fucking problem. But I can't get into a situation with anyone who leads in the
sport which David does. I don't think that's obvious to the normal viewer that David is a leader in the sport, but he is, and he won't take an outside consideration of something he doesn't understand. This is a fucking problem in the sport of fitness. In CrossFit we have leaders who just will shit on something because they don't like it and their opinion matters more so than the viewers does, and that pisses me off. We can continue.
And you know, and you know, he doesn't understand it by saying that it rewards the home run specialist because, because they, they, they're looking at, oh, wow, Olivia beat everybody and then like the gap was 20 points to 2nd place, but she should be awarded that because she beat everybody by that much First off, But it doesn't, it doesn't like people think it rewards the home run specialist and, and it, and it, it doesn't. It does. But it but it doesn't like it.
It it hurts the negative more than it does the home run specialist. And if you and usually if you have a home run, you'll have a negative workout or or a bad. Workout, You're a specialist. You're a specialist because you're bad at something. You're bad at something. People call. People don't call Tia a specialist. No, she's just. Way better than everyone She's. Way better than everybody. Laura, they don't call Laura a specialist, but she's got that one freaking hole that's really bad.
Guy is a specialist. Tyler, where would Guy finish in P score for the men? He. Was right on the same spot, like it wasn't. That dramatic? Well, and that's the point. That's my point. Dia as a specialist, he was 7th place in P score. He's 7th place at Roe. It didn't reward him extra Kiefer, right?
Where Laura? What's crazy, What's crazy, what's crazy is Tia actually won by Moore in P score than she did than she would have than she did at rogue and people would always think it's the other way around because Laura freaking killed everybody by like in three different events killed everybody, Tia included by a lot pegboard event, especially right beat her by over a minute. But it's a 14 minute time
domain. It's not, it's not like beating everybody by a minute in a 5 minute time domain, but you have to take in consideration Laura's trash event with the wall walk pants and push up hurts her so much that Tia actually ended up beating her by more in Peace Corps because Tia doesn't have that hole it it rewards not having holes.
Well I think it gives you it gives you a chance though too when there is a spread out field and like Tia and Laura crushed 202 hundred point gap between them and 2nd and 3rd place. And the next place, yeah, it was 200. It was over 200. Points, and we've seen it
happen. If you take a look at like the South America semi final two years ago when Guy had one bad event and he literally had zero chance of getting back to the qualifying spot because all he could do is gain 5 points or four points on his next opponents. All they need to do is get second place. They said to beat all the other people that were in there. If you gave him an opportunity to Gee to beat them by a significant margin on a couple events, he could make that and
chip that away and have. A yeah, the The field wasn't able to compete with Gee on that one event, and it held Gee back. It stopped him from going to the Games. Right, because it was only down to like 3 people and Gee just had one event where some people that are good at running and nothing else slid in front of him. And not not only that, like he didn't have to snatch his heavy because the field didn't have to push him that way.
And therefore the the fans get a a worse show because he doesn't have to show out. But if it's like D, you need to stash 325 to make it. Because every time those counts. Because you were really bad in that one event 325 You make it and and maybe he hits it, maybe he does it, but it gives him a
shot. And I'm not even arguing like like Kiefer. Kiefer has an argument right here for he says, I don't want you that it potentially punishes everyone from 2nd to the median if the median is low enough, meaning if the level of competition is for like and Crash is a good example, because Colton and Taylor were so much better than everybody else and then and then it was everybody
else. So like, it punishes if you're, if you're kind of better than most of the people there, but you're not Colton and Taylor, it punishes you, right? No, this is this is a misconception. The gap. But but I'm saying this is what he's arguing. Right. No, but he's wrong. I but I'm trying to simplify what he's arguing. OK, go ahead. I mean, that's what he's saying here. Right, so the tell. Me if I'm wrong.
The way that it works is if the if the median, so the middle of the field to the the best is tight, you lose points drastically. But the farther spread out it is, the more forgiving it is. But if you're inside the top half, you're going to get better than 50 points and you're going to be within that range. Now, if you have an outlier performer and like they're just that far away from everybody, it
helps them, yes. But to Kiefer's point about it rewards outlier specialist, Yes, but if you're good at everything and you have an outlier performance, why would that be a bad thing? You're way better than everyone else, and you're still as good as everyone else at everything. We need to recognize that. In a certain competition. Just period. Right. And at the games, you're not going to have that.
No, no. But in an overall, in an overall Grandview of fitness, we should be considering that. And that's my point. Like with swimming, if Fiona gets 20 points on a swimming workout in one year and everybody's like, whoa, like I need to be able to make up some of that or at least limit his exposure, guess what? Everyone's going to be better at next year, way better AT
swimming. And we're so we're limiting how much people are training certain different things because we're trying to play to a scoring system. We're not trying to play to fitness. Does that make sense? And I also wanted I don't, I think people and Tyler, you can tell me and Tyler might be in a different boat here. I'm not even arguing that it's a better scoring system than what the games have. I'm not arguing that I'm just I just think it's a a another scoring system that is comparable.
I often ask Tyler what's the P score on it to double check if there wasn't something wrong. I like to double check it right, because if there is somebody would have gotten second in P score and they ended up 6th in regular scoring or vice versa, they got the wrong end of the stick. Somewhere, somewhere somebody got gypped. Somebody got done dirty by the scoring system, whether it's the game system or with or by P score system.
It is a beautiful double check system if it's by over like 5 spots and that rarely happens but it does. But it does happen. Well, I mean Ariel, Ariel got third or Alex got third and it's like that pay difference is huge and Berkeley, I will jump that far. No, it's, it's changing like people are not able to accept this or really understand it yet, but it is changing. The way with that we're training it is we are not, we do not know what the human body is capable of yet.
We have no incentive to find out. We are playing to the system that exists 100%. I would argue that to the death I, I and John I. Don't think it would change how people train unless Yonah was getting like third place because of it. It, it would make them focus differently in training, but yeah, yes, yeah, significantly different.
Than the the standard game scoring then you might have to be have some questions crossfat it's hard to explain the score to people who already struggle to follow the games I I think we've kind of already talked about this there's a lot of other sports out there that are more complicated than this I. I will. I will argue this point, but if the sport is to be the best generalist in the world, which
it is, I don't disagree at all. I'm trying to be incentivized for being an outlier in certain areas is in the opposition of that. If there is an outlier that's causing that big of a point disparity, that means as cross fitters, we're just worse in general at that area of the sport. In, in my, in my, in my opinion, that's how I feel about that. Like maybe everybody's. None of us are good enough at swimming that we can even be called mediocrely good at swimming.
I'm pretty. Sure of Olympic lifting. We can all be mediocrely good at Olympic lifting or pretty good at Olympic lifting. We can, we can thank Rich Froning for that because he made it freaking like everybody wanted to do that, right? But and everybody got and you had to be certain strong to be good at the sport. You couldn't make the sport if you weren't strong enough Spieler bridges, they got strength out right.
I you know, and I don't think swimming I think swimming is a bad example, but if that is the case where everybody well, I just it's I know it's just I know it's one event. It's one event. It's a niche thing. It's not gymnastics or endurance, right?
Like, but if somebody's making that big of a point disparity, like they're like upper middle of the pack and everything, but they're crazy at one thing and it makes them five spots higher every single games and they end up being like 3rd, 4th place when every when realistically they're probably more like 7th, 8th place. And they and they don't have a hole and they don't have a hole, they don't have a hole. They're taking the points, but they're everything back.
But they're excellent in 1 then. As a sport, we just lack in that discipline, you know what I mean? And it would make you grow closer to that if that's making that big of a point disparity in the scoring system. I don't think it is. I don't think there's AI, don't think there's a thing that is. But if there is, then as a sport we're lacking that. And to your point Tyler, then we would train to be better in that as you know what I mean in.
That So for instance, let's think about Hayley Adams it it's starting to look like and and I'll be a bit brutal on it and I don't know that it is fully this way, but I'm going to say it in a brutal way. It's looking like she's just never going to be very strong and there's likely no amount of training that will ever catch her up to the middle of the
field, right? She's going to, and she has to put way more hours into it and recover and not be able to do other pieces that she could do because she has to focus on this. Whereas she could likely scale that back half or 1/4, still try to make gains and still try to get stronger, still be a generalist to some degree. But then she can get better at the thing that she's already good at, which is endurance, right? And then it rewards her for being good at those things.
She's never going to be Tia. You're essentially scoring to make people Tia and Matt, but there's other ways to be as fit as you can be. That will never happen, Nick. No, it'll never happen. It still, it still provokes you to be a generalist, but you can have the things that you're good at. And I, I think the way I look at negative points, especially in your ghost case, that's it's, it's a self-imposed minimum work requirement.
Yeah, and, and I don't know if Yorgos really couldn't get across one time, but like, you know, I think there's a good possibility he was like, well, I'm already last place, I'm just not going to try. But if he really couldn't get across one time, then I agree. I feel like it's a self imposedment. Then you should just be done.
Right, because in the past Crossfit's like, well, you have to get so far before you know, you have to do a certain amount of muscle UPS, you have to do a certain amount of handstand push ups, whatever to continue on. This does it for you, right? If you're so far behind the field, you're going to get penalized for it. And to John, your point, it doesn't matter, right? Like he stopped if if he could do it, but it was like, I'm so far behind.
It's not worth it. Then he's just standing around, right? If the P score was in there, it's like, well, I need to keep trying because I can get every, every Rep I do. I'm going to get points. Yep. Or less negative points. Less yes, so it'll. Be closer to you, whatever. Like you're going to be a better ranking. You can't just game it. Right. So to the because this is the hot button issue, the negative points spin posted the most an egregious example of how I can
score it ever. That is not what we used at crash. And I think in your ghost, like to everybody else's credit, your ghost proved to me that we can never score it in the egregious way, which is the full, raw, unfiltered version of P score. I like. It. I like it because. It's brutal. I personally don't mind it either just because don't have a hole like that, right?
You know what I mean? He would have got blanks either way if. I ever did a competition, they gave me -100 points on a running event, and I'm like, yeah, I was really bad at running. That was the funny TJ James. He he like got negative points or he got zero points the first year at Crash that we were in, it was E score then and I was like, how do you feel about that? He goes no, I sucked at that. I deserved 0. Points. But the way we did it, the.
Way you did it, the cap is is the best way. The -1 negative two -3 yes, and that's the way that it in, in a, in AII think at this point, it presents less problems than than the unfiltered version is just doing -1 negative two -3 points. And for people like, oh, that's too, That's too drastic. It's like it's, it's more than you deserve in most cases, you're that far away and it's holding you up.
The thing that I don't like about it is in that case, you can get benefited by hitting home runs. But like if you have a huge hole and you get -100 points you might only get -2 and that, that's unfair to me. But there's a lot of problems that are presented by doing just a full unfiltered version. And so it's like in an implementation setting, I probably would just always go with the negative stacked scoring. I. Like the chaos. One last point back to David, I think.
I'm not done with David. I think this goes back to if you look at the PFAA, they basically say you have these options for point tables. Yeah. They have a thing. Yeah, right. So like they've said, if you have fields this size, here's how the scoring table should be. They don't want events to weigh more than others. They don't want to winner take all event like they're they have very, very strong opinions themselves of how a competition should be run.
And I think just like I think with the PFA and their movement standards and saying that only movements, you know, coming from the games can then be filtered through the next season, that limits innovation. Well, didn't you try during the? Because Jr. would never do handstand walk hurdles. Like he probably wouldn't do a flip sled push with the flip it over because that would not be part of some movement standard
sideways pegboards. And so like, who's to say that P score isn't like an iteration of some better way of doing it down the road? But you never get there if you just say here's your 100 points table. Just do it right, like there's a time and place to try different things and and see it and try to get better. And if you're just going to say, hey, this is the way you're going to do it. Never try to do anything different because it's not outlined that games didn't do it
then I you know. Crossfat. Stay tuned. So to your point, Spin. Like. Kiefer and I have gone rounds and rounds and and discuss like implementation issues or or different issues that he has with Peace Corps and we and we we disagree to some degree. I don't, I don't agree. Like he like he thinks gaming is part of the sport and I understand that. And we're just philosophically different on that in that like, I like the test of fitness to be a real test of fitness and measure it exactly.
He likes the gaming aspect and doesn't and that's fine. Is it the Decathlon Decathlon's more like the P score? It is Decathlon is exactly like it's a little, it's a lot more complicated, but but yeah, my issue with David is that exactly what Spin said where they don't like it, it it doesn't make sense to them, so they don't put it in. And then people who go looking for resources on how to score, this never gets in the zeitgeist.
It never Jr. never reaches out. He never asks me about what it is or gives me the ability to try this. And I don't care to argue about whether you don't like Peace Corps. I don't like, I don't mind like you pointing out that you don't like this, this, and this. I like having civilized conversations about it. I like talk like I've done it with Max. I've done it with hell, I did it with Alexis Johnson for three days and she's a math PhD during the freaking competition.
What I don't like about David is that he is stopping something. And this dude is in the PFAA. He is one of the people who leads the PFAA based on the understanding that I have. He is the one that pushed the release of Dave to be fired. None of the other guy, from what I understand, the other guys did not want that. This is this is based on the knowledge I have. It's 50. Percent. 50% facts if I want. Breaking news.
And so to have a dude who is the leader of people, the leader in the sport, just try to shit on something he doesn't like in the comments. How fucking unprofessional are you bro? And you want to go and ask for Dave to be relieved? How about have a fucking conversation with somebody? How about reach out to him? Do what Kiefer did. Let's have a fucking discussion about it. Don't be a piece of shit that this guy needs to be abolished from the sport for fucking ever.
He's the problem with why the sport won't grow. We're stuck in a fucking crevice because this guy's holding us down. It's other dudes like him that continue to let this fucking run. I'm done with people like David. Don't fuck with me ever again. I like it. I like it. Get it, Tyler? Well, what would Kiefer do? What would Kiefer do? Always ask yourself, what would Kiefer do? Hey, we're clipping that keeper. You're in it. You're in it, man. You're in it. We're clipping that.
That's front page and center. How nerdy is it? Hold on. Instagram. That P score is the thing of all things that give me revved up like this, the only other thing that gives me revved up like this is helping. I mean he. Revved up on something before, I don't remember what it was. But I don't either. And then when I posted the the next one, just real quick, David said -56,000 is the score. I give P score another 25 replies. Tyler, please tell me you're not half of these.
Oh yeah, I'm half of. I I will say as far as it like he is a, you know, if you're Brent Vacowski's coach like you are in the sport, I mean, I, if I don't like somebody, there's a couple people I don't like. I, I would, I'm, I'm never going to comment on their stuff ever. They're just, I don't look at their stuff. I wouldn't follow their stuff. You know what I mean? Like to put to put the comment, comment you're. You're one of the few though, John. And that was I go back and.
Don't. Don't. I actually, I kind of play devil's advocate to myself on this because I was like, OK, like he's, he's a leader of people, he's a coach. Like he does all these things. And I guess like I'm a bit of an asshole cause like Taylor gets bent out of shape and throws shit in the comments. But in Taylor doesn't have this way that I think that this guy has. And I think that's the difference for me. But maybe, maybe I'm an asshole and I'm holding him to a different standard.
But that's that's where I am with this guy. I wonder what you guys thought about that. Should he Should he throw shit in the comments? I don't think so. I think it's unprofessional, but. Hey it it got the more traction on the post so I ain't bad and and I didn't lose followers for no reason like my election poll results. That one makes it that one never make sense to me. I'm sorry that I went off everybody.
There's a reason that I usually try to play the middle ground is because like this I had to stop training yesterday. I I get so Rev like emotionally I get so pissed off. It maxed out put the point. On. I can't. Like I go past, I go past. But for today, where's the smelling salt? I'm feeling like Hannah today it. Doesn't it doesn't help that I got double S end up for this this? Speech. Yeah, yeah, Hannah would definitely do that, John.
Non non CrossFit related Hopper made another trade in our league. I saw it. Dude, this trading machine I. Know he's, he's, he's, have you ever seen, have you ever seen the league? No, no do. You know what the league is. It's a show, right? Yeah, OK. Well, it's never it's not going to hit you guys not don't worry about. It if you guys ever in a fantasy Football League with Jason Hopper, just know you're going to get about 18 different trade options and he's going to talk
trash the entire time. Stan, he has. I'm getting screwed over, bro. It's a terrible trade for me. I don't know why you don't take it. You're so much better. It's incredibly annoying. I, I, I, I'm glad that he, like, participate. I would rather be in the league with him than Austin. Austin's been terrible. Austin will draft people and then just does not play and at all. And he only trades with Jason because Jason's the only one who talks to him because he doesn't. And yeah, no.
Is it? Good. What's it on? If Barkley watches it in 12 days, I'll watch it for sure. The league's it's it's amazing. I don't know how you watch it in 12 days. That's a it's a long show. It's. He's a dork. He didn't do anything else. Season show or something like that. If you like fantasy football, it's fantasy football. So like, if you're not a big fantasy football guy, you're probably not going to be about it.
But if spend you might love it because I know you're a fantasy football, but you don't watch football. It's not, it's not about football. It's about these six guys and one guy's wife who play fantasy football and go through great depths to, to sabotage and like win their league and like they have a whole trophy. It's a lot of stuff goes down. OK, It's it's, it's super funny, though. Super funny. Yeah, I'll have to check that out, Hopper.
Is the Ruxen Kenneth absolutely hop like yes, whoever has seen it, he 100% is Ruxen and spin. If you look it up, you will get it right away. OK, it is. He's 100% is the Ruxen. I had some other things to talk about other than P score, the qualifying system for Rogue, the new system. Look back.
We got Amanda Barnhart. We got some athletes who were not top 15. Oh, their version of the the the worldwide ranking systems, Yeah. Do we like, did you guys like that indifferent about inviting some who just may have had an off year but have shown historically that they are good. I made a Barnhart's one that sticks out to me. I'm sure there's some others. Noah Olson, you know, went team Chandler. They probably would have gotten
invites from Rogue anyway. But do you like that concept of hey you may not be at your peak, Come and play anyway and see how you stack up again this time. I think it should be a smaller window if they do a look back at all. But I just kind of always liked, like them inviting whoever they want, Like I of all the things that they have a feel for. I thought that that was pretty good. Yeah. That I don't think they they need their ranking system. I, I, yeah, I don't think they
need the ranking system at all. I, I like it better with just the top ten at the games. You get 5 of the qualifier and then five that they just want to pick, you know, you want to pick Annie, cool, it's in Scotland. You want Koski to go cool. Like I just think by top ten at the games you made the game, you were top ten at the games you did that right, You've earned your spot to go to rogue. Rogue is the fittest. People on Earth is second to none except the games third to.
None. 3rd to none because we used to say that it was a harder field in general than the games. The games because. I'm not sure by doing it that way that was the case. Yeah, I mean, and you have the qualifier still. You get 5 people and then it's just five people of who you want. I promise you Austin Hatfield would have been top ten in the in this. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. He was three.
No, no, no. No, no, he would have been third, but like I would have predicted him to be third place. But I promise you, like, like, of all the people they invited, he would have destroyed all of these people. Like we have Noah Olson, who just did an Iron Man who's just just freaking just there. Yeah, BKG for just there for a paycheck, you know, like, like you got. It's just a lot of circumstances where there would be people who would have been better in the competition.
They would have competed better. And I get it. You don't know all that. And I'm, you know, a lot of stuff. I'm just talking, right? I don't know anything. But I promise you there is a good amount of people that would have been better in this competition than like, you know, six or seven people on the men
and the women's side. Kiefer like to me at the end of this comment purely or purely rogues discretion Like I think I think that they make good college usually when it's like well this person was just sick and they're going to make a good show so we're going to invite them anyway. Yeah, but. I'm talking about their system, you know what I mean? I like, I like it better. Just top ten at the games. Obviously. Like look, you got Adler, just you're going to invite Adler,
right? You're going to like he got through it in the qualifier, like you got all that stuff. But instead of this system, it's top 10. You know, I had multiple people ask me, well, I'm not top, I'm not in their system because three years and they're up and coming people who would have been way better, who would have been way better than the people that came. I think my. Girl and girls and guys. My biggest issue, and I get what Kiefer's saying and and that
makes sense. The issue I have is it's it's. Colton freaking Mertens. It's a circular Rep is the problem is to to get a lot of points you had to be at the Rogue Invitational. Right, and you're automatically counted out. And so the best athlete in the world, who could have, you know, Sprague would not have qualified unless it was a special invite, right? And Rogue did invited him, right? If if Sprague had gotten 4th place, he wouldn't have gotten an invite. He may not have gotten it if he
was second place. Oh no. You're not wrong. That's a good point. It's a cell. What what you're saying is a self referencing system which builds in more priority towards itself. You'll never. And. It's one of those things like if it included Water Palooza, if it included other competitions previously, which I know that if you look at their their qualifying system, they are looking at incorporating more. It does give them that opportunity.
But I kind of like John's idea, like there's something to shoot for. You get top ten at the games. If you don't do that, go qualify. And if you don't do that, then maybe you get a special invite from Bill and Katie because they're cool. They're. Yeah, you're cool. They like you. You're really good. It'd be a great show. Did you like the indoor venue? I. Didn't have a problem with the venue, I thought it was fine. I asked around about this. I'm not. I wasn't there, you know what I
mean? But like, just like as the athlete feel the play, I was fine with it. We should say that like it, it does. I think a lot of Europeans might get mad because they were like, you weren't, you weren't here, you don't understand. It's like, no, OK, we weren't there. But from the viewer experience, the largest portion of people who watched, I, I asked around, I'm biased because we did the stream the whole time. I was like, what did you think?
And they were like, it didn't have the Rogue factor. It being outside is usually something that like I get really jacked up about like being under the lights, whatever lights those maybe particularly in Texas, I don't think that the baseball field was good, but like Rogue having the spectacle of a big facility or it being outside is cool. And and so the inside thing, somebody that I asked said it
felt like another semifinals. You could have probably just changed out the flooring at Fort Worth and have been the exact same. It's kind of where as I thought about it more. Yeah, yeah. Pretty much a very very similar footprint, just instead of being all rubber flooring they added half of it is turf. Does one of the smaller events that I ever competed in, it was that the Weld Games in Marietta. OH, it was not a huge
competition. There was a good amount of athletes and good athletes there, but it wasn't a huge competition. But we did it on a football field and I think everybody had a great time because it was outside. Like it just felt more cool. Yeah. And then you got your indoor events too, like like I, I think there's something to go on outside and inside it's like. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Different turf, different environments, not the same every
time. I'm sure that the, if you were experienced, if you were there in person, it was probably a better atmosphere than Dell Diamond Field in Austin, right? More people felt closer, more exciting. It didn't translate that into the stream. No, they should have had them like do a rock run through a castle. It's kind of a good point. You think that? You think that's possible? No, this is exactly my point. You had no idea where it was unless somebody told you it was Scotland.
That's yeah, unless you were watching the they showed that one castle every time they did panned out, but but absolutely there was no. Is the earth round? We don't know. Never seen it. No, I guess there's nothing wrong with it, it just wasn't. You know, it lacked the, IT lacked the thing. Yes, yes. Yeah, you can't. You have to import those. You can't get those here in the States. Kilts. From everything that I've heard, they're going to be there for
the next two years. Yeah, and I think being in Europe and like, I'm happy for Europe, but it it, I mean, it is they they, they, they, you know, they've wanted a big event. Now they have it and they're it's great. But it murders your viewership in America because especially as you nobody, nobody is waking up at, we woke up at 4:00 AM and we're the, I'm talking like nobody else is doing that. You're not. You're not, you're not freaking us where it's our job to do that, right?
Like, like you're not, you're not. No random person is doing that. You know what I mean? You wake up and then you watch the stream, probably after when you're eating breakfast. Do you think that they they hedge their bets on the European fans supplementing those who wouldn't watch in the States because like watching the live views, it wasn't up to what it currently or what it had been in the past as far? As live viewers, I looked at last year's streams versus this year.
I don't think they're that far off. OK. This year's obviously down a little bit like 100,200 thousand. I don't know how many of those come in like the next 51 weeks, right? You'd imagine that there's some that kind of trickle in and watch stuff as it kind of pops up over time. But I, it was higher than I thought it would be. I thought there'd be a big drop
off, but there wasn't. I think a lot of people did come back and try to like catch up or watch a piece of it, or they watched it at, you know, when they woke up at 7:00 AM, right, and caught whatever it was, but they didn't catch the whole thing. Right when you're like, we're getting people vindicate and saying like 600K on Friday and then 356 K on Sunday. Like a view is 30 seconds, but you get a view after 30 seconds and then you've, you've got it.
It does not speak to how long they watched the stream that, that live view metric. And so it's like, is it, is it important that people watch more than a minute to 5 minutes or skip through it, or is it important that they watch a lot of it? I think watching it live and watching as much as you can is most. Is the most important thing, Yeah. I don't. I don't go back and watch football games that I missed. It's like I'll get the, I'll get whatever US version is somewhere else.
Yeah, yeah. That's it. That's 100%, yeah. Just watch. Yeah, there's a Viking version of us that I absolutely listen to. Yeah, if you have a baby, you just do that. I mean, it's the same thing as what happens in semifinals in like Asia or Africa. You wake up and you're like. Yep, Australia. I wake up and I watch Australia's semi final and then Europe's about to start. Or we're about to.
Get to the final heat if you do watch it and then you sometimes watch it at like 1 1/2 speed because you don't want to sit through a 20 minute workout of them running. So T bird I got up to watch it and the spin cast. We appreciate you, T Bird. Thank you, T Bird. I will take that money, but we appreciate it. 220-2222 Again, if you guys are joining, every dollar donated through a super chat is going to J Wise baby registry that we're going to.
We're going to find something later this evening to buy for Leslie and little Abby. And I don't worry, in case you missed it, I'm definitely going to say it on Sevon's podcast too. So it's all, it's all good. You get him the next the next round. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think it's time for the mountain. Oh snap, Mountain time. Time for the mountain. There's been some changes, John. A lot of changes, a lot of changes to the mountain.
You know, a couple people fell down, a couple people rose up. But first we're going to do base camp, new new faces to base camp. Maybe that's because some rose up. Last Mountain was right after the games, correct? Before Crash so. It was in October, yes. A lot of things have changed. OK, so let's start out with base camp. All right, first four Yonikoski, new addition annual Akai. Also new Gmail. Harris and Danny Spiegel.
And it hurt I. Don't think anybody would have expected to see these four on base camp. And Gee isn't at the top. I'm popping off the show. This is the first time, this is the first time Gee has ever been there. So it it hurt me to do it. But Gee and Danny both showed out at Rogue. They did their thing. They did exactly what I thought they would do, but they both got 7th place. That's a very, very good finish. And honestly, the people that it like, there's just nobody better.
Trust me. I looked around. It's it's Gmail Harros or Tyler Christopher. I can't not put Gmail Harros there. You know what I mean? Like or Harry. He's not a quitter. Or Harry Lightfoot, like, you know, so like he's ahead of those guys. Annual Akai I I actually was impressed with annual at freaking Wadapalooza Soap Cal. I thought he held his own very well. If you want to talk about I thought annual Lakai did much better than Gmail Harrows.
If you want to read this list left to right, you absolutely can because that would be the order Annual Lakai. I would not be surprised to see Annual Lakai even on the mountain later on. He's got a he's. Been surprising. He's got to do, he's got to keep on keeping on, but I would not be surprised if he made his mountain debut. Not quite though. Yonah Kowski, 10th place at Rogue. Not bad. Didn't make the games. I Yonah's fit enough to be on the mountain.
He should be on the mountain. He's not. He's trying to get back next row. Where was Kowski before? He was. He wasn't on the mountain. He wasn't on it. He didn't make the. Games. He wasn't even at base camp. No, you've you're you didn't make the games bro. Yeah. Come back and prove yourself. You're not on the Welcome to Base camp, Yona. Yeah. The next 4 Chris Ibarra all. Right, Chris Ibarra. Yeah, Victor Hoffer and Mr. Taylor Self. Taylor Self is making making his base camp debut.
It's. Surprising. I'm scary, I say. I don't think I've seen that mug on this on the On the Mountain. Here have not no Taylor self is out of time out and he's going to have a full year of training under his belt he was I thought pretty convincingly the second best guy at crash he. Got second place. Right. No, no, I understand and like and like Chris. Chris. Logic holds up. Chris, stop. But like, you know, Colton was clearing away the best guy.
I thought there was a bit of a rivalry between Taylor and Chris Ibarra. Chris absolutely can beat him in some events. But if you look at that whole entire crash event, like through one through 7, all of them, I thought Taylor was a clear runaway for 2nd place. Even if Chris can beat him in some things, even if Chris is a better at the games, I thought Taylor was runaway, runaway, the second best guy there. I don't think there was a
question. I think if Taylor gets 30 lbs stronger on his squat, he's going to make the Games. He's so good at so many things. He doesn't have any holes except his brute strength. And it's just as like the more he trains, the better he's going to get at that. Victor Hoffer, we didn't get to see him at the Games. I don't expect him to rise off of base camp until I see
anything of him. Everybody thought Victor Hoffer was going to be one of the next guys coming and and then he showed up and didn't do anything. So like, and I know he was hurt, but even if he like when he wasn't that great at semi finals either, I'm probably not going to move Victor Hoffer off here unless he does something like nuts. I think like I think he face camps just where he's going to be. Saxon Panchick's just there because nobody's better.
You are not a big fan of Saxon? And I was and I was. And I was proven right. I did want to make a note about Taylor before we move on is, you know, people will say, like, I'm focusing on this and training, watching Taylor actually make gains. Like he, he makes gains faster than anybody I've ever seen. And it's crazy because he's like, he's 28, I think. Like he's not a young, young dude. So I'm excited to see what happens with Taylor this year. Me too.
Be the Queen. What I miss, if you go back and rewatch about 30 minutes, Tyler goes on a rage. So. We talk about peace score, that's it, just some good. Boring. Just boring. Just table talk and peace score and you know what you would have at dinner? You know, I imagine Tyler and Jeanette at the dinner table just talk about peace score and the benefits it can have. All right, on to the mountain. So I went backwards because I want it to be a little bit more like we know who's at top.
Dude dude, bottom row to the top is so much better. We're not. We know. We know we're going top to bottom. Not about who's at the top, it's about who's like second to top. Spins the Sherpa here. That's we're starting at the top, you know, it's Tia. Oh, can we get a poll then? Because we're going to have this argument every time. Let's get a poll. Do y'all like doing the mountain bottom to top? Because I think it should go that way. I don't care that T is at the
top. We all know she's at the top, but nobody knows you're sick at the top. John, I don't think you want to make this poll. Or do you want to go top to bottom? No, no, no, no. I'd make a poll. I want to know, I want. To know. I will do what the people do. I just think it just makes no sense to go from top to bottom. Nobody. Cares we're getting hella dropped in. Nobody cares about the 8th row of the mountain. We all want to keep it going. OK, I know you.
You're set on Tia. I don't care about Tia. Try it out. If we never try it out, we'll never know. Uh oh. Thank you, the people have spoken. That's this. Is it's not area there yet? Hey, 27 votes. This is basically Trump. Trump has won America. Okay, This is that's. That was what was crazy about the election. Let's divert for a minute. They would be like, well, Trump won Kentucky and it was like 3% of votes were in. And I was like, how do you know this?
I I still don't understand that. Point no one ranks the 50 best albums starts with number one. It's OK that you know what number one is. Nobody ranks the 50 best albums like every three weeks. Top to bottom is dumb. Literally everybody is the same way. Spin. You're just hung up because he is at the top. Guess what I can't change. The graphics go on top to bottom this time. From now on, it makes no sense. You're the only one that wants
this. All right, next, bro, just take all the fun out of it. Dallin Pepper was up there. He no longer is. Jeff is in his right spot. I know everybody thought Jeff should have been there to begin with, but he didn't do the freaking games. So he can't be there if he can't actually do the work. But he did this time, right? Jeff won Rogue pretty handedly. I know Fikowski was right there, but he did have a bad event. Laura Horvath is second. I don't think there's an
argument there. So they're, they're, they're the 2nd row, third row. 3rd Row. Ricky Gerard, Dallin Pepper. Jason Hopper. OK, we got a trio of testosterone. The testosterone trio, I like to call them at this and they were even a team at Watapalooza,
these three I think, right. Speaking of which, Speaking of which, Jason's got that thing right now you can win a pair of shoes if you go to his Instagram and comment who is on his team for Watapalooza. And I'm trying to figure out if he's bamboozling us because they were a great team last year and so is he giving us a misdirection? He's like, oh, you guys won't guess it, but I'm like, I don't know why it wouldn't be dalling Ricky. It might be a hard work pays off thing man, I don't know.
Could be, could be. Augustus link $2.00 for top to bottom. I think that's that gets my vote. Yeah, but it the bad money goes to me, so I vote bottom to top. We're at 2:20. 5 Dallin dropped from second. I don't think he can argue it. Even if he doesn't make the pegboard mistake, it would have been third place. You know what I mean? Third place would have been his if he doesn't make a pegboard mistake or you know that. Would have been third place on
the P score. Does that change anything? Yeah, just nothing. Because where he's, I'm not going to put him above Jeff, right. I think Jeff is heading heels above everybody. He is starting to look that way. I'll give you that. He has that Tia esque like he's not Tia yet, but like this weekend I was like, man, you're, you're making this almost not fun because you're winning a lot. No, he's not. No, Jeff is what a champion should be. He's he's the fittest man in the world. It's still fun.
He gets beat all the time. Stop it. He's just, he's just the best one. All the time. Yeah, did. How many wins did he have? One. Did he get one? 1. Win. I'm sorry. John a wall walk back, stop the wall walk back squat workout and he won it easily and then he didn't win anything else. Stop it. Stop it. Because he ran slow that last right 100 feet. All right. And then you got Jason Dallin and Ricky. Ricky, We all know what to think about Ricky. I believed in Ricky.
I thought he was going to win the CrossFit game in 2023. Got hurt, didn't happen. I feel like something always happens with Ricky, so it's hard to have faith in him if something always happens. 4th place Jason. It's just the first time Jason has podium since semi finals way back when, when he tricked us all into thinking that he was fitter than he was. Bamboozled once again by Jason Hopper. 20/20/19 Is that how it was? I think, yeah, maybe 20. 21202120212021 because 2019 was
the country year. But I think these 3 belong together, Julian, we don't talk about that. I think those, I think those 3 belong together. Yeah. I don't know what to make about who's who in the zoo here, but I think these 3 belong the same tier. Yeah, don't give away our secrets. Julian 229, we're up to 2:29 fourth row. Roman, Ariel, Pat, and Alex. Yeah, I wanted to drop, drop Pat more. I'm surprised he didn't. But that's where the mountain, the history, your history comes into play.
Because I feel like he has earned the right to, like, be bad a couple times before I drop him off the mountain. I thought about dropping him further, but then that would mean putting Justin here. And like, that's what we would see. If it was bottom to top, who could have been there and who wasn't? But we can't because it's this stupid freaking way. And then so Velner, I I, I couldn't put Justin over Velner.
I just couldn't do it. I think Velner is better than Justin, but he's he's falling away. Yeah. I mean, I think he'll continue to drop, but it's hard. Somebody's got to out some like what he says all the time. Somebody's got to beat him, right? And a lot of people did it rogue. But we'll see if that continues. OK, I he'll be the first to drop off of this row. Ariel Loden supersedes. Hang on there. John, we got, we got to give some credit to Gabe.
Paper Street Coffee 4999. Get some diapers, John. How? Many diapers, Is that all? Right. Yeah, we got a lot of, we got a Gabby, Gabby Macawa question marks. Guys, I don't know if you saw this, but Gabby saw Laura on the mountain. Gabby used to be where Jason Hopper was. She was writing right where Jason Hopper's face is. That's where Gabby was. And she saw Laura and she made a leap, a daring leap to catch Laura. And she just whipped.
And on the land, on the landing, her Achilles just snapped. And then she fell all the way down the mountain because she can't compete in 2025. It was tragic. It was scary. A lot of people saw it. I did see her limp off. With the Sherpas outside of base camp, they wouldn't even allow her to stay there. But she's in rehab. I'm sure she'll get back up on the mountain in a year. That's what happened to Gabby. It was tragic. You won't see Heinrich here either, but not because he wasn't.
Hey. If you're going to go out blowing your Achilles trying to beat Laura, damn good way to go. Yeah, since John Rudley just got off of Paper St. Gabe, Thank you. Thank you, Gabe. Even though it just doesn't look like. It. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. We're up to 279. Thank you, Gabe. Thank you, Gabe. I really Ron. Ron, it's hard for me to get in money mode. I'm on. I'm on. I'm on coffee mode. Papersdcoffee.com or go to Proven Fitness headquarters. Get yourself some there.
Yeah, if we want to put your faith in Gabby, wait until the 2026 version of the mountain, because it's not going to happen anytime soon in 2025. That's right, Alex, probably her best competition of the year. If Laura Horvath didn't hate her and would have tried on her in the last event, she would have podium, but she didn't. Ariel did that. I'm not going to take it that way from Ariel, but if Laura freaking tried, it would have been Alex.
I don't know. I'm just saying that because I had her in heat one third place, but you know, it's Alex always does great at Rogue. So I I don't know if Alex will stay here. She might drop it just depends if she has another semi finals like she did last time, she probably will drop, but for the time being she's going to be there until somebody out places her or she does better. So Roman kind of similar to Ricky.
Roman was a tier higher, I believe, but he didn't do, he didn't chose not to do Rogue chose not to do Wazza Socal. Yeah, yeah. And but if you're broken, you don't go on Instagram and say I would have won if I was there. You don't go on Instagram and say anything because you're freaking broken. The best ability is availability, OK? And that's why he dropped a little bit from the mountain because he's broken. He can't his the altitude sickness got to Roman and he
can't stay there right now. Whenever he gets back into play, he'll he'll, he'll probably rise. How? How are you going to handle this? John? Dense updates Catch it on Savon Show. What's Dense's real name? Missus Dense. Missus Dense. Missus Dense, I don't know works for you, But then do we keep Adler and Horbath on the mountain if they're not competing this year? Isn't John doesn't play rumors? John doesn't play rumors. I feel that is confirmed on the barbell spin.
I will not. I will continue to have them on the mountain. Until the official news. Once there's an article out there on the barbell spin, then then they will fall off the mountain very hard together, by the way, hand in hand. And then I'm going to have to make a decision between those 3 and that's going to be difficult for me. Nice to meet you officially, Jenny. Yeah. Until then, they will remain on the mountain.
All right, 5th row. Next row, Jay Crouch, Justin Medeiros, Mr. Austin Hatfield, Danielle Brandon And that is Brooke, not Sidney Wells. As. I am surprised to see Hatfield on the same level as Danielle Brandon. Well, so he was a hell. He was higher than her last last time. Yeah, he's 3rd at Rogue. Well, he did. He did get top ten at the games, and that's right around where Danielle Brandon usually gets I'm. Surprised Hatfield is not higher than Velder.
Well, so he didn't compete. I'm not going to reward somebody for not competing. Yes, Velar, Peter didn't was bad. Well, I'm not going to blame anybody. He wasn't there. He had a chance to be at Crash. He chose not to. If he went to Crash and beat Colton, he might have been higher, but he didn't. So he didn't compete. I cannot raise him a row. I can't drop Velner down over somebody who didn't compete. The guy that Ray got Rosen the most is Jay Crouch. I think Jay Crouch jumped 2 rows
to be on this row. Jay Crouch. Analyze them because he got hurt at the games. Who? Jay Crouch. Well, I'm undoing that penalty because he was not hurt at Rogue, OK? Penalty bucks, you're out buddy. Good job and. Listen and listen, Jay. Jay is sneaky. He he's like you never really see, like he had a bad first day and then he just does pretty
darn great. But he doesn't really win events until, you know, I know he had a great event 8, but even Justin clipped him at the end and then all of a sudden he's 6th place in the whole entire competition. So Jay is sneaky. He's got a little bit of a quant vibe to him, but he's done nothing but execute at at least at Rogue. I was highly impressed with him. I he's one of the guys I was
impressed with the most. Fukowski, Hopper and Jay, I think had the best Rogue performances as far as the men go. So I'm going to put him on this row. Yeah, that's all about you guys said about Jay. Justin wasn't great. I don't want to drop him. If he's not great two times in a row, he will drop. And this is kind of why Valner stays there because I couldn't jump J3 rows and Brooke and Danielle didn't do anything that I think they should.
Like they would have needed to be like podium for me to put them in that row. I watched Medeiros's Rogue video he just released today. I didn't realize he had a foot injury he's been dealing with for the last two years. What is it? A foot injury. He's had a planner, maybe he could get it. Fixed. He said this is the first time he's been he ran pain free in like 2 years. Oh and that's so that's why he's bad at running is that I feel like. Does that explain why he gained
10 lbs? Maybe right. He's only been, he's only been running for the last two months. Well, he could have told us that when we were calling him fat. We. Is a hard word to use there. Spiegel I I appreciate the the support. That's a good thumbnail image. Is that Danielle's college picture? That's actually from this year now. Spiegel, if you can unblock me from Instagram, you're fine. All right, next row.
Row 6 James Sprague, Yellow Hosta, Emma Tall, Alexis Raptis, Emily Rolf, Emma Lawson. Now, Emma Lawson, if you go back and look at the old mountain, Emma Lawson, Emma Lawson was where Brooke Wells was, All right. I dropped her down a row. I thought she was where Gazan was. No, no she wasn't. Wait, what's? What's a neuroma? You're right. What's a neuroma? John, You're a nurse. I don't know what a. Not that much of a nurse. That tuition's not paying off.
It's been a while. Non cancerous tumor that grows from a that grows from a nerve. That sounds painful. Yeah, I don't know. Yeah, that's a that's a weird thing. I'm just going to let him handle that. And until it's handled, I'm going to rank him where he's at. He's not. You can't climb the mountain with the neuroma. I know that. It's it's like, I don't know anybody who's done it, but Emma Lawson, you. Got to answer this one first. Raptis is better than Danielle.
Raptis is better than Danielle at When has Raptors competed lately? John. She competed. So Danielle, just because she goes, she just because she goes to reward. I'm going to reward competing to an extent. All right, it's John's Mountain. I'm going to reward competing to an extent. And was it Danielle Brandon has been 4th place before at the Games. It's a it's. Yeah, like 18 years ago.
It's a. Combination, it's a combination of history with versus what have you done for me now it's a combination and which one weighs more heavily is just however I feel in the moment of ranking them. OK. Where's the moon's the win Thousand points at this point I don't. I'm losing you. I'm. Losing you, I'm losing you. A relaxis Raptors could have competed at Rogue. She didn't, for whatever reason. Was she hurt? You know I. Think it was stomach issues. OK, Why can't we blame her for
that? But she wasn't exactly like, great. And this was a great opportunity for her to be amazing at the games. And she kind of, she kind of blew that shot. You know, Emma Lawson wasn't there, Hayley Adams wasn't wasn't super great. Alex Kazan wasn't super great. There was a lot of girls that were, are usually really good that were not good. And it was her chance to
probably podium. Emily Rolf of Bethany Flores from 3rd and 4th, it was her chance to podium and she didn't do it. She was 6th place at the Games and Danielle Brandon was 7th place at the Games. They're one spot apart and one competes in Rogue and the other one doesn't. I have, no, I listen. They're right there together. I got to push back.
I got to push back. I'm I'm simply rewarding Danielle for competing, OK, The second Alexis Raptors competes and she looks better than Danielle, I'll put Alexis back. It's not it's not that big of a deal. I didn't have anybody else put up there. Alexis Raptors, probably the best one in that row. Well, no, Emma Lawson is, but Emma Lawson's having her own struggles. OK, I dropped Emma Lawson down and I thought, who do I want to put up? It's either Raptors or Danielle Brandon I felt like.
It and you made the wrong decision. Oh, that's what we'll see. OK, what happens? What happens if she. Gets. We will see. She'd be fine all. Right. I wanted Emily Rolf actually, I thought did really well at Rogue. I thought she I thought she was going to do a lot worse so she doesn't drop it all. Emma Tall did about what was expected of her. James Sprague drops a bit. I think James Sprague drops to where this is where his position I think should be going into 2025.
I think, wait a minute, guy. But it's right around that spot. Wait a minute. We know he had pneumonia and he competed anyway, which you say that you like, you like that people competed, but he is, he is unrewarded for competing anyway. Yeah, well, who do you want to put him over? All right then I picked. Danielle over, Probably Kranikov. I I picked Danielle over Alexis. That's where I just that's where I did it. It's it's fine. That's what I did. You want to make your own
mountain? Put Alexis at the top, OK? Fair enough. I, I think James Sprague is a top ten guy, but I think that's what he is. I think he's like 8th through 12th. I think that's his guy. There's only 25 votes. This isn't a good you know we got to wait till all the votes come in, right? Wait, wait. Wait, wait, wait. All all. No, all the Danielle fans are just are just waiting. Those mail in votes will be coming out. Here. Yeah, we got to wait for the.
There we go, the. Mail. There we go. You're starting. Oh yeah, she's. She's running. Now and mailing just starting to trickle in. All right, I will concede. Listen here. Hey, I think it can be Alexis or Danielle Brandon. I'm it's funny that nobody has a problem with Brooke Wells because Brooke Wells did worse than both of them at the games. Yeah, but she competed. Nobody has a problem with Brooke Wells. I will concede Alexis could probably be a row higher, but I also think it's just what
flavour are you feeling? And I was feeling Danielle in the moment. Fair. Yeah, you know. I like your mountain, John. It's your mountain. Next row. Not my mountain. It's only climbing the more votes that come in. It's just going to keep on sway. And has Pennsylvania voted yet on Danielle on this poll? I I need Pennsylvania. That's what Kamala says she's like you hold on, hold on. We haven't. Credit California in these votes yet, OK. The last row Bethany Flores drops Abigail Dolmet.
Emily Rolf, I expected her to drop and she didn't drop and Bethany wasn't there, so she drops. And then a lot of these people like Gracie Walton and Abby Dolmet, they were both. I think even Maddie Sturt too was both. They were both. All three of them were at base camp. And due to some people retiring, some people falling off the mountain, they are rising. And so Grace Walton, Abby Dolman and Maddie Sturt, welcome to your mountain debut.
And then Colton Mertens, I believe this is his mountain debut for 2025. I think I had him on the mountain in 2024, then he fell off and we didn't make the games right. I like that he's down there with all girls. Well, this is where Colton should be, man. That's a that's a pig farmer in his element with all the women because that's they know where that's the money he's at. OK. And then Haley Adams and Paige Simenza. Haley drops a little bit. Paige stays where she's at.
That's I did not mean to make it like that. It is a Colton sandwich, isn't it? It's funny, I. Truly did not make it like that. That's just kind of how it came out, but. I would pay so much money to see him walk into the games with the three girls on one side and three girls on the other, them just strolling. I want to say you have Gracie Walton. Him shorter, him shorter than them all like. Gracie Walton, you have Gracie Walton on there. You do not have Claudia Glock.
You took her off the mountain. She even fell. Pack fell out of base camp and also Amy Kringle. Both of them, and Amy Kringle was never there to begin with. Claudia Glock is a fair argument. I who do you? Who would you put over? I you could. Claudia Glock and Gracie Walton could be the only intermittent changeable pieces there if you wanted and I picked Gracie. Amy Kringle I no, I don't buy any Kringle at all. Amy Kringle is not going to be there unless she does something again.
Amy. Kringle to prove it for me. On the men's side, you don't have Travis Mayer. He finished higher than yellow Hosta at the 2024 CrossFit Games. Yep. And I thought about Travis Mayer, but then I just think he's getting old. He's got to go be a dad somewhere. I actually had Travis Mayer in base camp and then I liked Taylor better at base camp. It's probably fair at this point. Look, his base camp is supposed to be people who will eventually
make the breakthrough. It's not people who were at the mountain and fell off the mountain and come back. You know what I'm saying? It's. But what about Yonah? Well, he didn't make the games. That's different. All right, so you got your mountain for next year if you listen to drunk Pedro, he says. There's an open, there's online semifinals, there's sanctions. Nothing more false you've ever said than this right here.
You must be a Gee fan as well. Does an online qualifying system change anything on your games mountain? I think it changes everything about the games mountain. I don't believe in online at all. I think in person and online are are completely different. I don't put a lot of stock in online, you know this, I think open quarterfinals are worthless and. If one of the rumors is true that 20% come through the open or 2020 come straight out of the open, Yep.
Does that change anything on? It might. It might affect the people. So yeah. So like if give me a name Yorgos, Yorgos won't be in and out. He's a great online qualifier. It's John's mountain, though he's still going to consider how John considers things. Well, like, OK, how many total men and women are on the mountain? I don't know. 28. So 14 a piece right? Give or take. Do you think Gorgos is going to be in the Top 14 of the games? Does he take away anybody's spot? No like I like OK.
Roughly roughly not on the mountain because of this. Roughly looking at this, this is your Top 14 men and women. In any circumstance at. The 2025 CrossFit Games, That is what this is going to be. Here my point is, does Yellow Hosta not make it to the games because of a different season strike? Yeah, OK, That's, that's fair. I'm this is for the games, right? So if Yella doesn't make it, then he will drop, then he then he's off the mountain and somebody else will replace him.
But this what this is, is what is going to happen in 2025. This is your Top 14 men and women, right? If Yella doesn't make it, then he drops. Koski fell off the mountain, Mertens fell off the mountain, and they'll be replaced. They're not going to be replaced by Yorgos, I'm telling you that right now. That was yeah, My, my point wasn't that Yorgos is going to be on the mountain, it's that Yorgos is going to take a spot from somebody that was on the mountain and they're going to
get replaced by somebody else. We know yellow's not good online. That's yeah, 100%. That's a possibility I get. 25 you on here that I'm not paying attention to that I'm not thinking about that are not great at online qualifiers. Yeah, and I but I won't do that until it happens. So until the open happens and we see those 20 people and then like if any of these people don't make it, then then I will, you know, I'll pull back.
But if people, this is not necessarily a power ranking, but it's just these are your Top 14 men and women going into 2025 CrossFit Games like the the games, this what's going to happen at the Games. That's what I'm saying. CrossFit 22999. Thank you. Congrats the JY and Leslie. We are now at 289 folks, 289. Nice. That's a. Fair piece of furniture right there there's. Something good for Miss Abigail. Matt and it's not close. Did you hear Taylor on around the white board coffee pods?
And what? Yes. She could not be ahead of Matt or Rich because she's not fitter than them. Philosophically, I just disagree with this argument. I just can't I cannot agree with this argument that he that she has to beat males at male weights. I I just can never. That's never going to make sense to me. She. Is not third then. Well then, she's not 23rd, 25th. Right, exactly. Yeah, I so I say after he made that argument, be like, then
where would you rank her? And the fittest people in history, where would you rank her? Because the answer is like 1200. But that wasn't a question. It's best of all time. And she's still like third or something to him. You. Can't put her third and say that she can't. Use the argument that she can't be the best because Matt and Rich are actually fitter. You're not. With the same weights, same distances and all that. You can't use that argument if you're going to put her.
Third, yeah, you're going 4th place then. And everybody below her. I mean, and, and like, you can have her third and then still say like, I think Matt was fitter workout for workout. Matt was fitter because that is the truth. Nobody's ever reached the the peak of Matt Fraser. He's waiting on Tia. He's waiting on Tia. And like, yeah, she could be there right with him. She can beat him at workouts. But go look at every open announcement they ever did together. Matt is.
Way better than Tia in 2021. In 2021, Tia was the best Tia we've ever seen. And I like like that's the fittest she's ever been 2021 the best Tia we've ever seen. And Matt in 2020 was just was just waiting on her multiple times. Like, but if you want to use like, if you want most accomplished like like and you want to put Tia first, that's your, that's fine. Like Tia can be first. That's your that's your
prerogative, right? But if you're going to use the fitness argument, he's already fitter. You don't have to say the same weights and the same distances and stuff for the same amount of gymnastics. Just say workout for workout. Matt would win more than TF because he would, right? And then that's why then you got a harder argument with Rich because Rich wouldn't like like, yeah, he is the second greatest fit, fittest thing you've ever
seen. But and then Rich, you can say Rich was the most iconic Crossfitter. He did the most for CrossFit out of any Crossfitter out of or out of anybody. He is the one that blew up the sport. Rich is the Michael Jordan of CrossFit. That could be your argument for Rich. If that's why he's your GOAT, I buy it. Cool. That's great. Great argument, right? That's your prerogative. But you cannot say because Tia can't do the same weights, the same distances.
That's why she's not your fittest, because then she's like 12 hundredth in the world, right? Just say I think Matt's fitter and I think we're just more iconic. And then Tia is the greatest, you know, the most accomplished because she is. As we move on Alexis Rap this earns 83% of the vote that she should be higher than Miss Danielle Brandon. I see it. I probably could have had Alexis in that spot. There you go. Time for some blind rankings. We're going to stay on the rogue
train topic. Rogue. Things. You're going to rank things at Rogue? How much? OK, just any things, anything at Rogue. Anything. In the P&J. Live. This is good because we absorbed all of this. We absorbed all of the things. Probably more of the live stream than anybody. Anyone else? Probably anybody. Yeah, yeah, mainly, maybe 3. People. Unless you were. Watching the spin cast with us. Yeah. I would bet we watched more of Rogue than. Sean, did I agree?
Oh, 100 percent, 100%, Yeah, he was taking. A break and not paying attention. To it, yeah. The strong men strong. Women. All right, here it is. Blind rankings, rogue things. Another duel. We had the duel for this time. Where would you the Duel 4? 5. Strong woman is there, man? What you Oh. Dude I don't know the weights it just. Said rogue things. Dude I like it's going to be some. I would. Smelling salt is in here, Tyler.
That has to be 5. There was some moments that I was just really behind Angelika. Stop it. Right now. And you know what's better than? Watching. Fucking airtime and watching Angelique could do anything. Yeah, but watching Hannah do anything is not better than airtime. Yeah, but getting to talk with you. About Hannah was better than airtime, I say. Four. Come on, I'll give you 4 but. I I just want it noted in the notes. I enjoyed when they were actually doing it.
I thought it was a well programmed event. The wait time was just bad. Yeah, thought it was. Thought it was well programmed. I like, I enjoyed. The the workout for what it was, yes, I know it's for. Petty, but I think it was the best one they've done regardless of popping. I liked the workout and I. I like bounding. I know it's dangerous. I don't really care. And like, no, no, no, I'm just talking about the event for what it was, right? I'm not. I don't care.
That people like, yes, it's bad that people tore their Achilles. I'm not going to. I don't. I'm talking about the actual workout. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Next up, the. Move to Europe. These are all like, what bad things? Yeah, rogue things. Bad. We should have to guess what the fever. Is Europe's asleep right now so they won't see this? Until. 3 Yeah, I'll go with. Three, it's it's. Definitely. Yeah, well, we just lost our. European viewership, it wasn't it. Wasn't.
Bad. It just I don't know that it added. It's kind of move it to Australia, at least it's in the morning. Then I would be excited I. I There's something exciting about Australia and I know. That they would be revved up. If they showed the crowd, then we would be. It would be freaking great. Yeah, I've no doubt. Australia would turn up big. Maybe. In 2020. 7. The next one. The live stream, we saw all of it. Where did you rank the live stream?
I mean, I I thought the live stream was good. I don't think we had any kind of weird. Qualms like there was some moments where. It's like, hey, great, if you show the scoreboard or the timer. Joe Maderos? Yeah. No, no, there was. Some mishaps, but for. The most part I thought. I thought the live stream was. Good, they were light mishaps now. Is it 2 though John we're he's. Bamboozling us, he knew we were going to wait for the women.
I don't think we can put it one. It's definitely not one I it at. Best 2. I know, but what's hiding the next? Two. Well, we just got to. We got to. Live with what we've done. We got to live with it. All right. You're. Putting it #2 Just like when you put your bets in you're. You're you're just living with. What happens right? Next one, the programming in general. We're screwed. It's got. To be 1, you have to put it one, yeah. It's it what I like I. Hate.
It after your. Show with Chase and. Chase and Bill. Like they didn't like it either. We all were like there. Was a good. There. Is a good point of like. I like. Spieler. And I like. Bridges But I think it might be time for a regime change 'cause it's getting a little predictable. Yeah, I think they should let us program it, definitely. So you're putting in one? Yeah. Unfortunately, I feel like you guys are. Not happy with your picks right now. And the last one, where would
chases put programming? You would have to do the these other three first. Where would where? Would you put it to be exactly where we are? But like. If it like a blind list and rogue programming. Was the first thing that pops up. There, I'd probably say 3. It's fair. It's fair, all. Right, the last one you guys got. Me. There we go, man. There we go. Yeah, it's right. Yeah. Let's go. No, you're doing it wrong, John. It's. Yeah. How? What was the count like eight? It was like 8 or 10.
If you guys did not watch, we're. Not telling you to, but there's a woman named Hannah Lindsay. And. She came out with her smelling salts and she would sniff it like shove it up her nose like 8 times. She needs to start her own company. Her nose bleed and they wouldn't. Do anything and then she. There's one event she. She did this. She did a farmer's walk 40 feet and then and that was it, walked to this bar that she had to clean and. Then just tapped it. And then started cheering.
For her other person next to her literally had nothing to do with anything. But that's what she did. She created a great show for 40 seconds. She made me like. Danny Spiegel, a lot more. I'll watch Danny Spiegel any? Day over. Over Hannah. Lindsay. Dude, I bet that she snorts Juji Mufu. 'S smelling salts for breakfast dude. I mean, juji mufu. 'S smelling salts are supposed to be like. Insane. They're the ones on Joe Rogan brings them out all the time.
He's like get you a whip of this and all the all the guests are like, Oh my God. I think again, I would have been OK if she did it. And then like destroyed the field. But when you do it, then you're 7th out of 10th or 9th out of 10th in an event or don't even lift something and you're huffing that stuff constantly. You lose a lot of she's lucky she's not in the cocaine because she'd be dead in three hours. Yes, there it is.
Blind Rankings. And finally a little bit of wrap up. I'm getting so. Invested in these characters. I love them. He's so. Good at them. He's so. He's so good at the one eye. Blink like, well, it's low like like I he's so good at it. First Tia Claire Toomey and what I've been told. She and James Newberry are teaming up for some mixed double S in Melbourne next month for some high rocks. This is lame. There's no pro division, so it's the same. Division as.
Emma Lawson. And Jack Farlow, they can qualify in their age group if they are fast enough. But I think all of us wanted to you to go to go do it for individual pro and see how she stacks up against some of the best in the world. We will not get to see that so drunk Pedro on Instagram. I can't believe you wrote an article. For this, that's great. Yeah, but I mean he he is. Breaking the news of what the. 2025 CrossFit game season is or drunk Don is?
I don't know. Either way, the answer is the open is in February. The highlights no quarterfinals. Online. Semifinals. Of which the top 1% will advance to the online semifinals. There's some sort of in person, there's some. Sort of in person sanctionals we. Don't know, Pedro said. Seven of them. I've also heard separately. That the French throwdown. Will be one of them. Take that for what you will. Is that. Is that not Pedro saying that or? And you? That. Is not what Pedro says.
That's that's. Coming from another different source. I'm not trusting anybody except drunk Pedro. Pedro's. Burner account, although he did. Feed me October. 7th so. Sean, you can't you. Can't disclaim your sources. God I'm very good at this. I forgot it was my source, so it doesn't. Really hurt that bad? Oh yeah. The 2025. CrossFit Games will be in. July. Not August, which the French throw down is. The first weekend. Of May, for what that's worth.
The games will not be in Texas, so goodbye Fort Worth. It feels like they're running away from that lake. Yes, and. The teams will be split off from the. Individuals maybe run by grid league, I don't know, maybe, maybe not. That's the only, that's the only bullet point that I think everybody's like, all right. Now, hey, OK. Give me a percentage. That you think per. 16 Yeah, all of these are correct. All of them, yeah. I'll give you a percentage on how.
Many are correct. That's that's not the question. I know that's not the question, but that's the question. I want to answer OK six out of eight. I'll give you, I'll say 70. 5%. 75% six. I wish. We had betting odds on that we based Tyler I, I would go 100 percent, 100% would. You say 100%. For all eight of them, then no. Which 2 are the bottom 2 is the one that you're questioning. No, the bottom. One, it's like a hundred, 185%. That draws the average up. Yeah, games won't be in Texas.
Cause. I'm I'm assuming they have some sort of contract. With the city. Or something like that. Or with what's it called, Dickies. I thought it was four years. Three. It would have been 3/3. But I don't know if it was but. They could. They could have. Termination clauses. So I guess probably say, hey, this is, you know, somebody drowned in your city. We're going to walk our ways and move on. Yeah. But I also thought that they were. Supposed to have contracts with like Knoxville and.
Stuff like that too so and that does not seem to be the case either. I take this. It's still the games boy that'd be. Rough. I might move to Knoxville. And even I would be like. Chattanooga would be a good one. Chattanooga. Would probably be a decent one. Be hard to get. To that. Would be great one is full share is that. Your where you live? Yeah. Online. Online.
Semifinals just seems crazy. But if it's the elite athlete, I just don't understand why you would hurt yourself like that and have the elite athletes compete from home. People are going to have to tune in. But is that what you want to do with the sport for forever? Is that where we're going? Are we going to watch this video? No, it's too. OK, OK. I can't skip to it either. It's a quarter final. Seems he was. He went on for a while, but there he is, the man. This is I just. I I don't.
Want to believe? This is true, but what? What's crazy about this is what if Pedro's the arbiter of information now? Like, that's where we're at. He's a reliable source, man. Yeah, I know he is a. Reliableist. We used to wait to. Hear anything? That CrossFit put out on. YouTube. And now it's like we can't even get anything. And so Pedro's having to do a drunk character to tell us real facts. Yeah, yeah, that's fair. Yeah, I mean.
Real enough facts that's men's going to do an article on it. That's right. Yeah, that's right. That's it's just. That's. The state of the affairs. That's crazy. Then moving on. Emma Lawson biggest news. Returns to CrossFit after a three month break. Ramping it up, she. Just did like a hardcore like what Fraser used to. Do but like way harder. For those of you who don't fall, don't go on TikTok.
She put out a 2 minute 52nd vlog of her first day back to the CrossFit affiliate doing some push jerks. And bar muscle. UPS. She failed her 4th ring muscle up. She was back today doing some bar facing burpees starting slow. You got to get to the legs. Are you? I'm still saying three out of. 10 Listen, I believe in him a lot. It's up from a 2 out of 10. Oh. It's not creeping my. Way but. She also said she's hoping to find the. Joy. Not that she is joyful.
She's hoping to find the joy after this break and getting back in. So I don't think it's guaranteed, but hoping to find the joy that's joyful. I know. That sounds positive, but I think it's framed negative. It sounds like you're. So here it is for me that. Was taking a little step bit. Of a step back so that I could try and find the joy for it again. Because I love CrossFit, I love competing. I'm pushing myself in that way so that I could try and find the joy again.
Guys, I think that she just saw like what you. Think is going to happen. I think she saw that it was going to happen and she was smart enough to just back away so it doesn't happen. Yeah, she, I mean. Lit with the Fire of 1000. Torches like. You've never seen. Jackie Miley, All these young people are upset, go to college and get drunk. At a football tailgate, I do not, Jackie, I feel like that. That's what you're about right now. And. We don't invite.
She's she's. 18, right? Jackie went to Ole Miss, I believe. Let's calm it down. Let's calm it down. So yeah, she's back. How old is Emma? She older than 18? Is she 20? She's like 19 or 20. Yeah, 19. She can't even drink yet if you're. A gym owner go check out the. State of the industry. Report. Tollemoraquinho and Marisa. Mariana Meza when the. Beatle Extravaganza. And if you ever wondered why there are lizards when Guy is competing, I tell you the story.
It's based off a joke of a high lizard and a high koala in a tree, so I'll leave it at that. So go check that out before we move on. And the story of the cheetah, because a cheetah could run well and he. Can't. Do you think that's what it is? Koala is slow. Cheetah doesn't have very good endurance at all. She's just fast. All right, we have 289. Dollars at this point. Oh. Snap are we buying a crib? What do we got? We I have no idea this is the. First time I've seen it as well. What do?
We got, she just said, of course it is. What can we buy? Here, this is my baby. Registry. It is in. It is in. The link is in the. Description I need to take that in a few of this stuff rather purchase something. For him how? Much is the stuff here that's a. Low price of 999 The low. Price. So some of this stuff I'm. Not going to lie, there it is. Baby. Bouncer. It's for Sarah from. CA peptides I, I said. Hey, find some.
Expensive stuff. Sarah wants throw it in there for Sarah. Sarah wants to buy us something really expensive and I and she's like OK, what is that thing? The peg looking thing. That's exactly what it. Is. It's a a peg infant car seat. Base Extra base for this. They got to have base, yeah. What do you think? I think we do this. I like that. Let's do it. That's what we're doing. We are getting 50. Did we get 450? No, but the rest is coming from the spin. Oh, OK, OK, there you.
Go. That's my what? A good dude, guys. The rest is coming out of my paycheck. I appreciate. It I'm not paying for this, that's. Right, there you go. Tyler gets a demo of $80. He's like, hey, hey now. They're splitting this way. Wait, wait a minute. Wait a. Minute, John. Young Anything else to be riding in in? Luxury in this nuna. Pippa RX Thank you, guys. RX All right. Would you like to get a? Surprise no. All right, I'm going to go do this here in a minute otherwise.
I'm going to be like. Kitchen pins ready. There's my credit card in there, all right. How do you guys want this man? Pays for this, yeah. He didn't do it. We. Don't have proof. I'm confused. If I buy something that sends to him. Yes, ma'am. Yeah, that's how it works. Registries work. No, it doesn't send to me. It sends to my wife. My. My pregnant My very pregnant wife. That's what it sends it to, not to me. So if there's ATV on there, it's.
Not to me it's. AI don't need TV but my very pregnant wife is it. Is it? Looked is. It frowned upon to put ATV in the baby room. I don't, I don't that's a good call. I don't know the rules. I don't either. I don't. Ask either I just. Go where she tells me to. It's probably a good move. You just. Thanks everybody. Well, hang on, hang on. I'm. Going to get this thing here so that. I don't have any. Well, I actually I can put your screen. On the front. And center here spin with like
devices. No, I know. I don't have them. I don't have to buy this for you, John. OK. Grid. We didn't talk about grid, which we will be doing. What we will. Talk about oh, our screen, our stream. Yeah, we're going to do this. Grid stream but we. Announced it today. We kind of. Soft announced it during Rogue, but yeah, to all the listeners now, Sunday, we're at 3:00 Eastern. 3 Eastern. 2 Central. 2 So 3 Eastern, 2 central, 12 Pacific, Yeah, I guess grid, grid. Championships 2024 Grid.
Championship, yeah. We're going to venture. Out and we're going to teach you all about the sport. Yeah, you can play along on the Heat 1 app. Too. You'll be able to pick at that. Point. There'll be two teams left. We're doing research now. I asked Mather which teams he thought he was like, there's one that I think is pretty good, but he was like in grid, it's anybody's game usually. He was like, we thought last year it was going to be a sure thing and it wasn't going to Katy, TX.
There it is. So it is all. Ordered to da. Thank you, guys. Thank. You everybody. So congratulations guys, we'll have the grid stream. How do I pick it? We'll have the grid stream on the on the. Screen so it won't be like Rogue at all where we didn't. Have the rogue stream up on ours it we will actually have the grid stream with nested within our thing. So you'll be able to watch and watch this commentate the whole thing. You'll be able to watch as we talk and then it'll be really,
really fun and. We're learning just like you guys. And Jose asks if I'm trying out for the grid Houston team. I'm on the team. It's already a done deal. Already tried? Yep. Already tried and made it. Yeah, made it. So, Yep. So how you doing? Some burpees? Yeah, apparently nobody knows. How to burpee fast so that's. You're the expert. The fastest 10 bar facing burpees is. Like 13 seconds. So what'd you get it in close to that I I got. I was 14 seconds, but I think I'd imagine.
You'd have to be pretty small to be able to like, yeah, a lot of times it's the girls. That are the fastest yeah there's there's some girl that's like. From Florida, that's like on all of the. Videos going really fast, but here he is. Johnny, that's me. 100 burpees per time. That's another dude doing some. Gymnastics. That's. Mason, I don't know who. This guy is. I thought it was. You for a quick second I would look way faster than that. This is. Dylan and so hey.
These butterfly muscle UPS did you learn how to do? I did three of them yesterday. The most? Jankiest ones you've ever seen? Jankier than this guy. Oh, it's my first time trying to do them. And then I tried to get it on video and I and I couldn't get it again. He blew up. Yeah it torques your biceps so freaking hard, but we'll we'll we'll get better at them We'll get better just there's some tricks you out. I can't believe you could do 3 like have to go. That's that's cool.
Well, I. Couldn't after that so I only had one like. I was like, oh snap, I'm about to take a video, people. I wouldn't trust him. I wouldn't put him on the field to see if he gets no, I wouldn't. Trust me either but put me in coach I only got. Three, but I gave you Maybe, maybe give me some. Time I I give me some time I'll get I'll. Get decent at them. So there you go. This might have been the biggest insults I've ever. Had in my life. That hurts that. Really hurts.
Thank you. Hey, there's a good chance. I hear there's a good chance, Tyson. 'S going to play this weekend. Be the starter. So. Are we about to? Are we about to? Be sponsored. Vindicate, we're all. Going to get them fancy. White backpacks? Is that what you're telling me? Might have to be yellow though. Sophia is the captain. That'd be nice. All right, guys, we will. See you back on Sunday. For some grid cast championship. Until then, here's how we did. I'd give it like an 8.
It wasn't too long and they got a got a lot. Of good conversation. There they kind of went after each other, which. Is kind of cool. I think the show's A10. That's right.
