Welcome to the Spin where Tyler and John are on their phones March. 12th. I'm trying to pull, I'm trying to tell everybody to come back from Savon's. Show is he still on tell him he's still going Savon you know this is our slot OK we paid for this slot Savon every single Wednesday at. 630 did we pay? Yes, we absolutely paid. Yes, YouTube. John, if you're paying somebody. We paid. We paid our dues, Tyler. Nobody, nobody goes live at this time.
Not even the the makeshift league we got going on, OK? Nobody goes live at this time. They know. This they know better. They know better. Look, Nunya, I left for the spin. Kenneth, he's getting off all right. Probably going off. Did you get him started? And you're not going to get him to stop. But wow, Wednesday, CrossFit knows how to do it. They they consult with us, that's who we're paying. That's exactly right. Rachel, we pay them. Hold, hold. All right, it's Wednesday.
Release the news. All right, we're going to go. We're going to talk about some selling CrossFit. We'll talk about CrossFit. Open at the end of Leaky Leaky 25.3. I will reveal the standings of the Barbell Spin Intramural Open League I'm. I'm hired for that. So we'll see can anybody dethrone Tyler or we'll meet spin still be sitting down there in last place. We'll find out some blind rankings. It's it's timely with the announcement today. And then we'll go into just some
news. John's super excited about some news that we'll talk about. We'll keep his attention the entire time. No, no, no, I just I'm helpful. I'm getting it straight and then we're good. We're. Good. All right, Viewer comments. It is your reminder to subscribe and throw in some comments. I got lots of pages of comments I got. I got 3 pages actually I have two that are going to apply to this section. Really. Print them out. Is this from Is This from Me and Tyler's throw down or just last
week's show? A little bit of both. So you see Batman on there. I'm going to go a little quick hits and then we'll get into the meat of the viewer, comments the. Meat spin. Yeah, the meat spin of the viewer comments.
All right, Yeah. So we'll go through these pretty quick and then I think we'll go through these pretty quick and then we'll get into the the real comments at Ian Kurth always knew JY was strong, but seeing him in his open videos this year, I get the impression he has to walk through doors sideways or he gets stuck. Thank you, Ian. I appreciate. That that's a that's definitely a compliment. Yeah, I'm going to take that as a compliment. I, I, I don't, I don't have to
but but thank you. Yeah, at Frank 79. Hey JY, you legit look lot into weight class. You should legit look into weight class strongman. You're built for it. Yeah, I've gotten like like 60 amps of that to be in the 90K strongman weight class. I I actually, I looked up and and no desire none. I don't listen. That environment, if you've ever been to any competition, you want to talk about like guys who are like just the ego that walks around in that, in that type of
environment is insane. I know there's some guys who have an ego in CrossFit, but it is crazy and I can't do it. I can't do the got to be careful. Last time I said I can't do something with the strong people. But the just just to get all amped up, like just to smell your smelling salt, you know, just, you know, 9 times and then and then to do 3 seconds of work and then I don't care if it's £700 that you just did.
I really don't. I shouldn't take 30 minutes to do 700 lbs of anything and then to just like, you know, you're just got the biggest Dick in the room when you're taking stuff to make you have the smallest Dick in the room. Like it just it doesn't I I'm not about. It has no implications on your penis, it's just the balls. Gotcha. Tyler, you would know, but I just, I don't have a desire to be a part of that world at all. I, I, I actually watch the world's strongest man.
I like, like, you know, it's fun to watch people do things nobody else can do for sure. I don't want to be a part of that world. I really, really don't. I don't, I don't know if people know this, but you know, I listen to Jordan Sparks when I lift weights. Like that's what I like to do. I, it makes me, I want to be happy. I don't want to listen to kill the world and everybody's going to die. And then for me to lift 700 lbs one time and then walk off like
I'm the king of the world. You know, I, I like fitness too much. I understand that I'm not the best at fitness, but I like it too much. I will this world that I belong in, but I because. I'm the best at fitness show. I appreciate you strong man. I'm going to go tell my son to turn down this TV because he is that was. I'll be right back. That was actually a good point you just made, John, because you just said that it wasn't a strong woman thing.
You just don't like the whole geeking out thing that like strength competitors. I need more action than has. Nothing to do with the females. The amount of Fast forward that I do to watch a strong competition is like I would love to know that stat. How much fast forwarding you do, you know what I mean? And it's just you know, of course, like Eddie Hall lifting 1100 lbs like that's that's the great. It's so fun to watch. I'll I'll watch a whole 30 minute documentary of how he has
to prepare for this. But you know, when 9 of the 10, when nine of the 10 of the people are doing 800 and acting just as hype, it just, I just, I'm not about it at all. I saw you pause and think about how you want to say. That somebody clip that and do one of those like Vietnam flashback. Clips. I think you could go like he's learning. To like, not say like bad things. It just, I just, you know, I like Olympic weightlifting.
I got, I got, I'd be way more to go into a like get into Olympic weightlifting than strong men. But I did look up the stuff that they do, the 90K people, they all deadlift 660 or or above. Deadlift is not your thing. And I'm never going to do that. I'm never going to do that. I'm not. I'm not a great dead lifter for people who know this. I mean, I'm still like, you know, better than most, but compared to the rest of my lifts, I'm not.
I can't deadlift 600 lbs and I'd have to work really, really hard to do that. And then I'd still be 11th place in the 90K category, but I'd be pretty good at the rest of. The stuff, yeah, like and subscribe Josh G, you guys are smart starting when Sivan ends. So Sivan ends when we start, I think. That's right.
I feel guilty. I feel guilty for putting a a comment in the chat That's not that's my fault If I get kicked out of the group I. Understand that's not what you were saying before the show started, Tyler. You were talking so much junk, Tyler. These. Stupid idiots. Let's see at Daniel Larson, I think the bat is coming for them. Thrusters Watkins. I I know that I squat right to parallel.
I suffer from a similar. I don't think it's nearly as bad as spins, but my ankles do not move from years and years and years of having my feet and football shoes. I also think I'm guilty of picking a bad angle, but whatever, I'm on a Hiller video, I don't care. Are you? You're on the Hiller video. Yeah, he called me out for like some of the last ones, and I actually thought my, my, my squat depth on the 135 was probably the best. It should.
Be pushes you down. Yeah, Grant, I'm not convinced Tyler's thrusters weren't good. Me. See, there you go. I just feel better after watching Hiller's video. I feel better about my my thrusters last year. Really. Yeah, 'cause I like. 'Cause you saw people way worse. Yes, exactly. I had. I had I had a bum knee last year. My squats were better this year. Yeah, good.
I, I think the, I think the standard I talked to Jr. about this, I think the standard should be that if your hamstring touches your calf, you're at depth. I think it's a bad, like I think the hip angle thing is, I get it. It's like the it's like an obvious way to judge it, but like you're definitely, I've never seen somebody's hamstrings not touch their calf and be like you're not to depth, you know what I mean? Because their knees go so far forward that it's.
Yeah, yeah, Now you see it in wall balls a lot too. People's whose are are our knees over toes kind of squatters, like they're just, it's like a, you know, like a third of the population. Your knees just go really over your toes. Ricky Gerard's a big one on this. If you ever watch him squat, knees just go way over your toes and then all the way down for you is parallel, right? No, I, I agree with you, Tyler.
I think, I think the, down the, the I love Hiller and there is and there is a need for him and I'm so happy he's here. And I and I don't take, don't you know, someone don't clip this and then write the bad part about Hiller is that everybody in the world now wants to be Hiller. And then they try to call out people's reps when they have no business doing this at all and like people were. Calling your lockout and I was like, no, John is 100%.
To, to, to an egregious amount where like, if it doesn't like, 'cause everybody's body is different and something that Hitler does and this is what everybody should do, but everybody doesn't, you know, everybody looks like it. Does he look like Rich Froning? If he doesn't look like Rich Froning, they're all no reps like, and that's like, that's how people freaking grade these things. And you, you, you're not good like Internet people.
Because what Hitler will do is does his first Rep look like his last Rep? And if it does, this is the best they can do. This is, you know what I mean? If I was a judge, even if you got like a wonky elbow or something like then like they're good. You know what I mean now, because a lot of times people's last Rep will be way locked out and then they're, you know, reps subsequently won't, won't be right. Same thing with squat depth. Right now.
I I 100% am on the side of you need to be below parallel and people that have a hard time going beneath parallel. You need to work on it. You need. To work on it, right, right. And it's not nothing you don't know, you know it's Ben knows it too, right. But if your hamstrings, like Tyler said, are touching your calves, then I think all those reps are fine, dude.
And then like, you know, sure you might have a couple that are like those are bad, right, but it's a couple it's not every single Rep. This is where you squat to, you know what I mean? And I think people, people are just. Those comments, man, they were they were racking up. I, I like it. It does make me when I'm doing the workout, I do think about this stuff like I, I kind of appreciate it. And so me making Hiller videos like, OK, I'll do better.
I thought those were OK, but I guess not. Because I didn't think I had one Rep that was bad. Not one. I, I didn't, I didn't go slow. Listen, I I did not go fast on purpose. One, I knew I had no business going fast, you know what I mean? But every single time I'm here and people just can't accept this is this is locked out arms. Somebody was saying that my arms weren't locked out. I was like, you're out, you're out of your mind, like. Out of your mind. Out of your mind.
But you know, I but it's it's all to to say that it's all it's all net positive that people are more, you know, cognizant look heads through every time and people are going to say to me, my reps are not locked out just because they can't do a thruster as fast as me. Why do you think people. Are Tyler, I don't know where your lockout is. You're freaking pausing at the top of every Rep. What? Do you mean? I don't know how people say you're not locked out.
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, at the top of your every Rep. John George says that soft elbows on both, except for when Tyler is taking breaks at top. No, I I legitimate like this is going to sound like shit but I legitimately think it's a bad angle. I have like hyper flexion of my elbows. See this? That happens on every single one of those reps You guys are out of your mind. Justice for John. And I'm, I'm telling you, if Hitler put you on his video, he would have said something about mine.
Even if none of them were like egregious, he would have been like, you know, John's got soft elbows on some of these, but most for the most part, he's good. Right. Well, I'm. More curious about your chest of bar over here there. John, that was to save my grip. I don't know but I'm a little bit heavier and my hands, I was concerned about them ripping and I did not want to RIP at all. You call me a baby if you want and I will accept that comment. But it took me 46 seconds to do
all 18 chest bar. I wouldn't have been that much faster doing butterfly and breaking it up and it did. It saved my grip, I was fine. Why is everybody freaking out about our sweatpants? It's cold. It was cold when I did. This workout. John, how cold was it in in Houston? It was like 50. It's like 73. No, no, I'm one. I'm one. I'm doing this at 6:00 in the morning. OK, and it was like it was it was like 50°. I I mean, this is sweatpant T-shirt weather.
I don't know. I also like working out in pants. I don't. I don't. I don't I cannot do it. I'm. Gonna. Give you 40° and I have to wear shorts. Oh no, I'm a big sweatpant workout. So we know that you're you're a sweatpant sweatshirt type of. Oh yeah dude, I like to be hot underneath. Beyond sitting over on those plates. Killed. Me.
I listen, listen, listen. I, I was tired and I saw those plates and I'm like, that looks like that looks like a good spot to rest man, That looks, that looks really comfortable over there in those ways. It made me so mad I didn't beat you worse. I was like, Oh my God. You know, you want to Fast forward a little bit. What's funny is I think if I like 2 set it the bar muscle UPS I might have could have caught you like.
Oh, yeah, I got really nervous. There was one time you passed me back up and I was like, oh. Shit, maybe. Maybe it was here because we're both thrusters. You blasted through these and I was just kind of chipping. John just wishes there were 70 thrusters and that's it. You know, I don't know. I think I'm just unfit. I'm not going to say I don't. I know there's another. I think this is I There's nothing wrong with this workout other than the double unders are kind of irrelevant but.
This was a good one. I I got 816 back in 2022 and I was convinced I was going to beat my score. And I think the biggest thing. That was the longest break I took all all workout. It was between that 10 and 8. This is when it got real. That the the the bar muscles hit you like a tone of bricks. It's skyrocketing. There it is, there it is. I'm pretty. Comfortable. I got to tell you, watching it back, it does look like I'm not really working out like like
like this. This looks like I'm at like an open gym and just doing some reps of some stuff and then sitting down and then doing some reps of some stuff. Yeah, you're like you're. Like warm enough so. Like that's, it does look like that. I, I so my score in 2022, I was like 924 and I, and I was thinking, OK, like I'm not super fit right now, but I think I'm fitter than I am in 2022 and I just could not breathe all the I'm stronger, my gymnastics are better.
I just, my lungs are that bad when I'm not trying to when I'm not actively not doing CrossFit a bunch, you know what I mean? My lungs just go away really, really fast and and I just kept just kept taking seats and. Jeremy, I realized that 7 minutes I did, I was not going to make it. I knew that I was going to have to rest going into the thrusters. I think in August I'm going to redo this one because I'm always like the fittest I'm going to be
all year and all. No, no, no, it's, it's after the Games. Why? Because late on. Yeah, yeah, 'cause the July is the Tour de France. So like I'm, I'm biking 90 minutes every single day and, well, I'm always the smallest. So that probably equals it probably helps. It probably equals the fittest, right? Boy, you swing wild on here. Well, I am. It's a, I'm a, it's a big guy. You're a big. You're a big guy. Yeah, 2200 and something plus pounds is a lot of weight to be thrown around.
I'm getting lighter. I'm. Sitting back down here. I wonder if my reel with the three in the corner tricked anybody. Maybe I I took his, I took Tyler's reel or or story and I put a three in the corner like Austin and and Colton do. You know how many followers they got off of that? I got like 20 followers right? Dude, this this, this Tyler Watkins guy. I might have just sent a record. He failed right before he finished in 3 minutes. I can't believe people thought that was for real.
Oh yeah, yeah. These these these 30 double Enders were so freaking annoying man. I tripped, I didn't. I tripped, didn't trip all workout. I think I tripped 4 times in this 30 double Enders. I want to take your time of your, your thrusters, Tyler. What do you mean? What was your time on the 15 thrusters? I feel like you've been here a long time. It was like a minute 40 or something. Yeah, yeah. Minute 45.
Yeah, I knew I was. Then I then I ran out of video to keep going for John. Yeah, yeah, I'm a unfit. It's it's unfortunate. You're not unfit, you're grid fit. Yeah, you're a different kind of fit. All right, I'm going to take another seat here. Think about, think about, think about what we're going to do and watch how like watch how like, like I like just walk all slow and then and then it's like. This is crazy how fast you move on these.
Is it faster than Colton? No, nothing is faster than Colton. I think Colton is the same speed as I am, but 54. No, no, I'm saying like the speed he's moving is the same speed, but it's just the range of motion. What'd you say? About range of motion. Yeah, be. Careful, he started. He started. At 10 O he started at ten O 4. No. Let's assume I didn't catch that part. That's great. Well, how we should how long we can we can. Let's go look at Is it Mine took
26 seconds. Is was 22. 100% then Colton, I don't know what you're talking about. Four seconds for five inches or 6 inches a height. Yes, Sir. How about no? Across 1515 thrusters, 6 inches. What are we talking about? That's 90. Inches Colton would go through that whole workout twice, 2 1/2. Times that's cool. Spin, that's cool. What do you clean, Colton? That's what I freaking thought. Where's your comment now, Colton? Yeah. Think you're think you're cool 'cause you're so fit.
Yeah, let's see at WTH I bow. Neither guy did a single thruster. Sad and at shiz graphics JY spirit animal has to be a sloth and those jumping chest of bars is nasty work. The best comment was was man, John really ain't about it, eh? Yeah. Dude, that one, that one hurt. That one hurt a lot. I got out of all the comments like like none of them really
like get you at all. Like at least I don't know, Tyler doesn't have as much experience as I do with negative comments, but wonder why, Like I'm not that one, that one really hurt because I've done some I've done some pretty painful things and and, and Tyler has been adamant like he does, he's doesn't want to hurt like he's he's anti hurting, right. He's in this, he's in the time of life where we don't need to hurt if we don't have to.
And, and now, I mean, I, it would, it would hurt my heart a little bit. And I was like, oh God, I briefly considered, I'm just going to get fit, man. I'm just yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I was like, I don't care about strength anymore. What's great is that. 1 was such a nice, like it was, it's like when your grandma says something shitty but like she does it in the nicest way and you're like God like though it's brutal 'cause it was such a nice way to put it. It was so brutal.
Yeah, no other. Congratulations Tyler. Tyler's 2 for two. This feels like a real robot situation when boss like swept it and we're going to have to see if I pull a row and super fit next year. I'm I'm hoping the road does not show up because if it does I'm pretty sure I'm out. It depends what it's paired with, man. I mean, we get 25 wall walks. That's, you know, that's a lot. Yeah, I'm pretty good at wall
walks. Yeah, I know. I'm pretty good at. Wall walk It's a that's a wall walk workout if that's what it is. What you got here Spin. We got one of our athletes here, Ashton Crabtree, he's doing some some of the gymnastics on 25.2 and yeah, good, good chest of bar pull up right there. Good one. Here we go. He's about to fall. He's got pregnant lady there with him. 1. Oh yeah. Oh, there we go. Yeah, my mom, it's. Like watching a kid fall off a trampoline.
Every time it looks bad, man. Every time that happens to somebody, it's it, it looks bad. My mom did that one time in the competition and I felt bad for her when it happened. I can't tell what grips he's wearing, but I think he probably needs a new pair of frog grips. Code spin saves you 15% off, so use that QR code and don't fall off the you know who didn't. Fall off this guy there. You go or you do the you do the jumping chest of our pull ups like John does and then it
saves. You ever going to fall off? Yeah, let's see some real comments here at Mission Bell. This little bit political statement for you. John Al Green is AUS representative, not a mayor. Mayors don't go to joint sessions of Congress because they are not part of Congress. The ignorance of bounds in Trump's America. Sigh. So, well, what's his face? Who runs Daily Wire? Who's that? What's that guy's name?
Ben Shapiro? He's not a he was at that and he's not a governor so or a representative in Congress. It's. Trump's fault. Let's see at me. Houston too. I'm only 15 months into CrossFit and I am big. Sad I didn't sign up last year. I am fully on the CrossFit train and the open is something Crossfitters do. That's right. There you go. Welcome back. Yeah, at SJD I I I5 when we do the barbell spin in intramural open next year, can we stay
loyal to our current teams? Dude, you get first, you get mandatory draft pick. I would 100. I would 100% buy a trash panda shirt but not if I'm on a new team every. Year, oh man, this is tough 'cause I, I really we're, we'll have to talk this through do you do you, you want to do that now we can do it now if you want to but I, I, the point of the draft is for it to be different every year you know what I mean I can see. I can see SJD I I I5's point. What if we got we you get you
get one person you can keep. I think you you have to write in that you're, you were on it last year and you want to remain on the same. Team, I think the I think the hard part, I think the hard part is if people come and go, does one like how do we backfill? That's the, that's the my initial comment. We'll have to think about. We'll talk, We'll talk that through. We'll talk that through. I agree with Tyler. I think you need to ride in that you want to stay on the team.
Enter the draft portal if not. We'll see, John. I'm not. Sure. So, Colton. But but we'll be, we'll be, we'll do it much earlier. Because I'll, I'll send you an Oval team shirt. You know, don't worry about what I just said with, you know, you're not cleaning as much as me. Just just you, you can need to stay on the team. That's fair. I'm. Going to get trashed into jerseys. Yeah, sure. I think, I think we'll be more organized. We won't do it like four days before the start of the Open
next year. So even if you do have a different team, I think we might do, might have, might know who you're on before that starts. Let's see, let's see, where did I see I'll sponsor the draft next year? Hell yeah, look at that. Does that mean the winner we can divvy up like $200 to are 100? Yeah, $200. And just give $2.00 to every single person. We're going to double it up. You'll get like keeping it real. I cannot agree more. Anything to get off Spin's team.
Anything to get off Grant's team? Yes, 100%. Never mind. Grant gets the exception. He's stuck. He's stuck with the team. Mr. Telford, if he comes to up 1%, somebody wants to trade man that's getting selling CrossFit. How about that? Earlier this afternoon, Mr. Dawn Fall, the CEO, sent out an e-mail to the affiliates. Actually, he was, he was busy, he was writing all kinds of things, but he wrote out to the affiliates.
In 2020, Berkshire Partners acquired CrossFit, motivated by a strong belief in our methodology, brand and our community. That was in mythology. Yeah, it is now time to seek out a new owner for a next phase of growth. It's a weird statement. Next phase it what it's time to seek out a new owner for next phase of growth, OK. So we're growing. Why is that weird? It's just I don't. It's. APE mindset, yeah.
#Pe mindset. Right, like it's not our next phase of improving the health of mill, you know, lives of others or or continuing to spread the word. It's our next phase of growth, which to me leads to how do we make more profit? Maybe I'm reading into it, but that's how I read it. I think they read into money and then this is just words speak. Word speak. That's generally how SPEAK works.
John, as soon as it puts it the next phase of growth, things are going so well that we need to sell now, not wait. Well. You need to sell at the bottom for sure, not the top. No dumb idea to sell at the top. You, you've, you know what I, if, if CrossFit was a person, I would like to think like, you know, you know, 20, 2014 to 2018, like we're going through some changes.
Like we're like, you know, 1230, yeah, you know, and we're growing very rapidly, right, and becoming the person we're going to be. And then it like, you know, like 2020-2021 it's like, it's like, no, it's like somebody gave us puberty blockers and tried to change who we are. And that's, that's see think about it. Try to change about our chemistry of who we are, right? Stunted our growth and now and now we're trying to get our puberty back. OK y'all just take that home.
Y'all just, y'all just, y'all just. Best analogy? You need to, you need to chew on that for a minute, OK? Susan likes your take. Our objective is to find the right partner, one with a connection to our community and appreciation for affiliate business model and the passion and vision to lead us into the future. OK, check. Well, first, I mean Susan, I and you did kind of a show.
I was on for like 5. Minutes, You were like the intro, you kind of like welcomed me on and you just bolted off to the side. If it is true of at least the the the mallet guy, the cross fitters, if it is truly Daniel Chaffee and who's the other Dan Williams? Like all those guys, like they're in the CrossFit community. I guess that is a connection to the community. Appreciate it.
For business model, sure. But then as in a typical as is typical in any sales process, CrossFit will be working with an advisor, Bolas and company to help review a wide range of potential buyers. They're lined up waiting. These processes take time and we won't be able to share details until it is until its completion. In the meantime, there will be no changes to how we operate and work together. Lined up like they were lined up at the vendor center at the Games this year.
Waiting to get in. Huge lines. This this one is weird because. Security is taking their job way too seriously. The the question is most of this, most of the times this is all secret, like you announced an announcement, like you announce the sale when it's done. You know, it's sold to Daniel Chaffee, you know, or whatever. Yeah, B Sport. B Sport sold to Malik I I don't understand this like it It's to get to bring molas and company in.
Yes, that's what you do on a sale, but why would you tell everybody that you're trying to sell? I don't know. Why do you tell everybody we'll release the investigation as soon as it happens and then you don't do it? I don't, I don't know, spin. That's what they did. Do you think it's already been sold? You want to tell people what you're going to tell them. You tell them, and then you tell them what you told them. I got a question for you. And if you think it's already been sold, why?
Why can you not say that it's been sold? Are you familiar with the idea of predictive programming? Like the matrix? Nope, this is like when they tell this is like you seen all those Simpson clips where they're like they predicted the future. Yes. So that's the idea is that the media knows what's going to happen and they're telling us ahead of time so that we toss the idea around and then we become comfortable with the idea.
We create a narrative. They see what we're going to say, they see how we're going to react. They let they let us chew on it for a little bit. Well, they let us know how they need to communicate with us on the other end. What are your qualms? What are you? What are you going to be upset about? What are you going to be happy about? And we're going to hit you there. We're doing their job for them. This is my conspiracy theory. Answer to this is that this is
predictive programming. So they don't, they don't know what to do, and then they're letting the media tell them what to do. Yes, they're, they're, they're giving us a landing strip. Then and who would we like to it to sell to Chaffee? Are you saying it's already sold? Doesn't matter. It's already sold dude. That's. What I'm saying, what Tyler's saying is he's they're basically going to see what we say and then craft their announcement in
a couple weeks and say I gotcha. So look, we did it and this team is coming. We. Did what you wanted. Yeah. And look, they they're, they're tied into the community. They're going to keep your affiliate model. They're, you know, going to reinvest in in the affiliates. They're going to grow the sport. It's going to be great. Everything that we say, they're going to mimic in a press release. We'll get Frank to handle this for us. Frank's on.
It's mad I don't. Listen, and we're gonna, we're, so we're just gonna pool our money together. That 200. Dollars we will buy CrossFit for wait for it $13,000 in 223. We'll finance the rest interest only. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Five year interest only. That'll be good. That works. Yeah. Five years. We'll sell it and make make hundreds of dollars. It's gonna be great. David, what is? That. Did you really say that? Yeah, I was playing. I was being a troll. Oh, OK.
This moment of transition comes with significant opportunity. OK. Can you, can anybody guess that opportunity, Can you say what that opportunity is? So we can hear that in the press release in a couple weeks, Tyler. Unlimited gains No. No exposure. It's safe. 20 to 50% returns on investment. It's a big opportunity, huge opportunity. I like this. If these decrease 50%, they're cut in half. I like to read this and take the adjectives out. OK, You know, the moment of transition comes with
opportunity. I am going to be involved in this process and what it holds for the future of the affiliate business. Very much. And CrossFit overall. I'm going to be very. You could read it as opposite. I'm going to be personally not very. Involved. In this process. And I am bummed that it did not work and honestly I hope it burns because I couldn't make it work. I'm going to be real jealous about it if all of a sudden it pops. I've aided my time in this community and I cannot wait for
this line to be signed. It's the most stressful couple years of my life. Yeah. Don is going to be personally involved in this process. OK. Oh. Dope. I think the thing that's has to be said is Crossfit's not selling CrossFit, Berkshire is selling CrossFit, and Berkshire has a whole team of people that are making the decision. I'm pretty sure Dave is not at the seat when they say, well, do you want to accept this offer? And Dave's like yes or no, and they're like, you're not at the
table. Yeah, I mean. Probably Don does because he's part of the board. Yeah, I hate. I hate. But at the end of the day, it's going to be Berkshire making the decision. Does Berkshire care about the longevity of CrossFit? After no, they just want to make money. That's that's their that's what they do is they make money for themselves. Like it's not it's not even their fault. I'm not mad at them. That's what they do.
Yeah, I'm OK with. Them they care 0 about if it goes on or if it continue, they're done with it. They're wiping their hands away from it. I don't they don't they don't they don't care at all. No, you can't convince me that they do. I'm I'm sorry. They don't. I hate that we have a board. Every time I hear the board, I'm like it just it just doesn't. That doesn't. I hate it. Well, Berkshire has a board.
CrossFit they they just administer CrossFit, but that board doesn't come come with the sale do. You know what it makes me think like, like Tyler might be spin might be Before this, Did you ever watch the Fairly odd Parents? Tyler, Yes. Do you remember when you know? It's been a long time, obviously, but when, what, what? What are they called? Cosmo Wanda? What are they called? What's the? Fairies. Fairies, right. Fairy, Fairy.
Yeah, yeah. In fairy world, it got taken over by like the business fairies and everything was just like corporate and I don't know what they called it, but it was like, and nothing worked because they tried to operate it as a company. I feel like that's what happened to CrossFit. Yes, I my time, our our time, our time with with Sevon has taught me a lot about what it must have been like to work there. And it is not a normal corporate setting. It was all hands everywhere, all at once.
It. Was it was a growth phase? It was a growth phase, but it was decentralized to the Max. Everybody was involved in 18 different projects and nobody like people probably had titles, but your title probably meant very little, right? And what you are involved in, this is very different from a corporate structure of where you work on your stuff and you don't really commingle with other people and you're just involved in the things that you do. I understand why they use that methodology.
That's how that's how businesses have run. That's how businesses have run for hundreds of years. You compartmentalize and you do your part. Yes, but Crossfit's not I CrossFit had also a rock star team of people who all cared about furthering the vision of CrossFit. The these people have been worried about furthering the bottom line.
Well, that's, that's what happens at a startup as you get people that are passionate for it and then as it gets older and older, you bring in new people who are looking for a job. That's it. And then CrossFit, that was Don's e-mail. CrossFit then published a post on crossfit.com. Similar but different. Today, we continue to lead the industry with our vision and commitment to making the world healthier.
We have a global network of frontline practitioners, over 11,000 business owners, over 100,000 CrossFit credentialed coaches and 1500 plus healthcare providers. It's a little bit different story and how they communicate it to those outside of the CrossFit world. Because I reported on what was sent to the affiliates, I've started to see some news articles from outside groups. But which one was it? Athlet, athlete, tech news? They basically pulled this statement out.
Yeah, it the TE and athlete is also the TE and tech. Oh, nice. Very cute, I think. There it is, Miss Mcgawa. Who are these people? I don't know, but yeah, they pulled over. They pulled that same statement down here. So that is what they're, you know, they sent one message to the affiliates and then they're communicating something slightly different or at least a different messaging wording to those who are outside. When do you think they will announce it? What was?
What was the difference? Sorry, John. What was the difference between the two? Yeah, it's. Let's see. Let me go back to. Oops. It's good for radio. It is good. It's even on the edge of your seat. ChatGPT Find the differences between these two articles. I mean, it's very similar, right? They're working with models to review a wide range of potential buyers. Then it talks about their
history, right? Over 20 years this has all happened and then it talks about the size of their gym network and we've transformed our workouts into a global competitive sport that draws hundreds of thousands of participants every year. So this reads like a casting call. No, this, no, this reads like athlete tech news is going to pick it up and write something that people that have no idea what CrossFit is going to read it. Right.
That's what I'm saying. This goes into Wall Street Journal on page 17 in the back corner and you're like, oh, cool, I I've heard of Berkshire Partners or Mullis and company. That's interesting. Cool. I didn't know they were that big. And you move on. I got you. So, and it's working like. My guess is that this was sent out as a press release to outside groups. But why would you, why would you even worry about sending it to
outside groups? I mean that that is evidence in the case that they are looking for multiple buyers, even if we think that that's. I think they've gotten either an unsolicited offer from Malik, Dan and Dan, right? And now they've gotten it and they're like, well, maybe we can get a few extra $1,000,000 by pumping, pumping this out. I don't know. They want, they obviously want to get out. The offer wasn't so great that they were willing to just take it and run.
So are they taking a loss on their $200 million investment? I don't know. Are they putting pressure on on those guys B Sport to up their bid even though there may not be another suitor? Like we're looking for more people. Why don't you if you really want to get it? I was getting ready to say. This is this is kind of your game. Yeah. I mean, I've been through it on public company side. Yeah. But because it was a public, publicly traded company, you can't make any announcements, right?
So it's very hush hush. But you do engage in a investment firm to manage all that, right? And and do the negotiations and help with all of their checking to make sure everything is is correct. Usually that's done from the buy side. Right. Like if you engage somebody like this, it's usually to go find a potential buyer, which if that's the case, they're doing it publicly versus privately, which may be different. That seems weird to me. Is that they're doing it publicly.
Like that's that's where I think it's it's it's Fugazi. I make like I just I cannot see them putting it out publicly. I can see them putting it out, you know, and amongst, you know, investors or whatever in those lines of communication, but not not that like this. And even if it linked, they could, you know, they could say, I mean, like I think Don addressed that until last affiliate meeting or something that, that, that these rumors of the potential sale were, were fake. Right.
But that that might go to my point of Berkshire if it if, if we don't believe they actually have a sale done. Berkshire was in the process of this and not bringing Don into the full. Oh, so they were keeping him out? That's interesting. Possibly. Dear God, somebody please buy Ghia bike. Please, we'll get to that here in a. Bit I'm going to send Ghia tricycle. I'm going to go to Walmart and buy a $30 tricycle and send it to Mayhem and say for GHI. That'd be good, be good timing wise.
I mean, we predicted, I think Tyler and I both predicted this at the beginning of the year, right? Like we both said crossword was going to be sold.
I said it was going to be right after the Games, Tyler said before the Games. I would say a normal situation if this is if they truly don't have a buyer lined up and they're looking for offers or they're negotiating offers and they aren't actually in the process of, you know, getting into what CrossFit, you know, making sure all their financials are right and all of that stuff. I think right after the Games
makes the most sense. If they're already in that process and they're trying to expedite this and find somebody, maybe swoop in, they could possibly do it faster. I mean, they're not running anything for semis except for in affiliate semifinals. And so they don't have that burden besides planning the games. And so there's just not a. But that but that team's not going to do have anything to do with the sale. Right, right. And I understand that.
But I guess like, you know, you buy a new thing and then all of a sudden they they have to run the games. Like hopefully that whole team is still engaged. It would just be I would be nervous about. Buying it, I would say, yeah. I mean, I, I do think regardless of what actually happens, even if nothing happens until the Games, it's a distraction bar none.
Like I guarantee, you know, I've heard CrossFit had a meeting, you know, and had to kind of they they got little information before that all this went out right, which is expected. But you know, this afternoon they were all talking, texting each other, probably messaging each other. Like what do you think's happened or have you heard anything? Especially with them all being remote, like guaranteed they're jumping on calls texting each other. They're looking at Pedro's
reels. They could be. They could be. Yeah. Waiting for a drunk Pedro to give them. Tell them what's going to happen. God that. 'D. Be a good reel right now. You never know. It kind of reminds me of when Berg was let go in the middle of the season, right? The team was pretty much intact. But I feel like it's just a distraction, like change is never. Great when you're. Trying to run some major thing, whether it's a competition or
whatever else. And so whether it's sold beforehand, you have new leadership that has maybe they want to see something done quickly and differently, or you're just on the edge of your seat waiting for that to happen. So I doubt that anybody running the games is going to be Privy to the details of it. Barclay, this is. Yeah, CrossFit by Berkshire. Nice, that'll be all. Turntables. So yeah, I don't know. Go. Back watch Sousa and my and kind of Tyler show from about a month ago.
I contributed. OK. We'll we'll share. With who? Did actually, if you go to my article that I wrote about it today, I I did link that video. So go back and check that out. Moving on to leaky, leaky 25.3. We know the workout, right? You know about? 18 workouts. There's one that I think shows. Up one than others though. Is that a I've? Heard I've. Heard 2 now, and if you listen, if you watch Pedro's around the whiteboard, I didn't get to see that. So I I did. Not either.
Can you tell me? Yeah, so. So it's, you know, it's Dal and. Jason and James and he asked what? What's your prediction for? 25.3 and. I'm trying. To remember Jason brought up like all of these movements, he brought up the the chipper style that has like deadlifts, rowing cleans, snatches and wall walks. So I've heard that one. I've heard that one, yeah. And then James brought up the 50 row, 25 deadlift, 50 row, 25 wall walk. That's the one I think it is. That's the one I see more the.
Most often. And then gallon, I think kind of went with that. 1 but wanted the row. At the end. Which I thought was was interesting. This is an interesting comment. Wonder why? You would ask that, Barkley. I don't know why. Yes, actually Dallin and Jason are lab management and all three are brute athletes. So take that for what it's. What it's worth? I I let me see if I can find it real quick. It was interesting watching Dallin's face when Jason started
answering the question. Oh, really? Did he give a little spoilers in his face? I thought? I thought so. I. Do you, John? If it is leaked, how do you feel about that? Oh, wait. I know there's three wall walks in there. I heard there's three barbells. I think I'm going to go deadlift snatching power. One of you mute your tap your. Dog, but I could see. It ending starting with a 50. And ending with A50, so maybe those could be 25 reps, so maybe 50.
I heard there's wall walks in there as well. So maybe like 5520 five 525-520-5550 If not it could be all 50s it goes 5555555555, who knows. OK. That made a lot of sense. They Sprague and Down both made a face. No, I, I I don't. Think that was a faces spoiler. I think they're laughing at Jason's ranting, at what it could be. They're like, where are you going with this? No listen.
Listen as a guy. Who starts a lot of sentences and doesn't know where he's going and then finds, find, tries to find his way to the end of it. I know when that's happened to somebody else. And that's exactly what was going on with Jason in that moment. Jason was not aware of how this all. Worked. That was very obvious, but it was a good show. This is pretty good. If I create confusion, they
won't expect anything. But the problem is if I create confusion, I made myself becoming confused. I I thought it was interesting. Though like they. All kind of had. The multiple different iterations of the same thing what we've heard, which is I, I. So you want to go question to your original. Question a lot of those guys talk about not. Caring about what the workouts are right or paying attention to all that noise. Yet they all had guesses that were. The rumors that have.
Been swirling around, swerkling, swerkling around. Squirtle. Right. I I don't like it. You don't like what John Our. Transition. I. OK. If it is rowing, deadlifts and wild walks right, and especially if it's the 5025502550, I don't. I don't like. That we basically have known every single workout before the workout even came out every
single week. I know you guys were in the dark on the 1st week a little bit, but I had heard that and I made, I wrote it for my athletes to do and it was a very, very similar version to it. In week 1 of it you made them do it twice. Well, we did it. On Tuesday and then we did it on Friday. It's a yeah, yeah. You know the That's two times, John. We did 22.3 that way too. But I don't I I want to be surprised.
I want to not know. I want to like as soon as it comes out, figure out the best way to do it. I don't like knowing way beforehand. I did, I did really. I know yeah, yes, because I did not think so I had I got I found that right and I was like, I don't think I don't think that's it, but just in case it is, let's do it and see, you know what it feels like, right. But like the body weight lunges. I just thought there's no way
they're going to do that. I was like, guys, just so you know, it's probably not this, but it could be. And then it ended up being exactly that. So and then, yeah. And then after that, I was like, OK, well, I'm going to trust where I got that from. And the I don't. It just takes the sales out, man. It makes it makes it less fun. Like part of the fun is not knowing. And then they announce it and nobody knows until that moment,
right. And CrossFit used to like really be like this has to be a surprise, like the tightest. Thing ever I. Remember the first thing time CrossFit workout got leaked? They fired that person on the spot immediately when they found out who it was. And I don't I, I. I I. I want to be surprised. I don't want to know the workouts. I don't like that everybody knows it before it happens. And yeah, that's, that's that's my, that's my reaction to it. I don't like so the.
Rumor that I've heard is that certain. Athlete. Organizations received it from on high specifically. That's crazy. Yeah. And so. But they from who though? Well, from the source, not from Dave. But from the source and that blows. That's true that 100%. That's because that means that somebody. Somebody's in there working in cahoots with the athlete organization and that just freaking nobody likes that.
I'm I'd be really curious. Like how from Dave's perspective, when he sees or hears that, I do not know how that made. Me the bad guy at all I really. Really don't. Join JY. Barbell and get programmed Yeah, it's your fault, girl. Well, when? You first communicated that. You knew you, you thought you #1 you didn't communicate that you thought you knew them until the second week, basically, yes. So like and I, it was. Like you felt guilty for? Knowing I did, yeah. Because, well.
One, OK, two things. One I was like, oh, shoot, like it was the. Workout. Right and then I didn't even because I remember Jr. texted body stop it right now we will I will block you so fast, whoever you are I will not eat Nuggets again because of your of your incompetence OK, but I won't eat them twice a week it's. More like 4 times a week. But anyway.
Anyway. I and then because it was body weight lunges and then when Jr. texted like body weight lunges, like what the like I couldn't fathom that. And I was like, I should have thrown that out there just to get like I, I know y'all would have called me dumb the second I would have said this is out there, you know what I'm saying? Because because of that. And then and then and then I was like, but same source as 22.3 Week 2. That's the repeat. And, and it's been, it's been,
it's been right. Yeah. I mean, I don't think if I if I would have somebody who had sent me that workout hold on. Guys, if somebody had sent you that workout, if somebody. Had sent me that workout. Ahead of time before 25.1, I've been like, OK, cool. Like I don't think I would have believed it or I wouldn't have gone to. I wouldn't have shared it on a story or article or on the show, right? Like, because we've seen things. Like that before and it ends up.
Not being legit, sure, right? I thought we could see what that. Was, but then when you see it the first time and then you. Get a hint that you get it again. That's 22.3 is the repeat and all signs are pointing. To that. Like OK, now I'm now I believe it. And like when I posted the, the, the Dave's hint, right? And I've mentioned, like, you know, if there are leaks and whatever, it's not going to help me. And somebody commented like, well, why aren't you sharing it?
You're just trying to protect CrossFit these days, right? Like, well, no, I put it in the article. First of all, you didn't read it. But second of all, like. I've seen multiple versions out there. I'm not going. To go say here's the workout, right? And like some people have asked me, go, go ahead. Go ahead, Yeah. In in the article, I'm like, hey, here's. What I've heard now at this point, right, But I, I, I don't have a time cap.
I don't have Rep schemes on this whatever chipper with multiple types of lifts, like I don't have reps on those. Like I don't have all this information. So what do you want me to share? Like, hey, there's going to be deadlifts in rowing. So that's not a leak at that point, it's just a guess, right? And so you know. That's why I made that reel that I made. Because I was like, here's what I've heard. And then the the heavy Isabel thing was so stupid. I can't believe somebody guessed that.
But it was those were legitimate, like rumors that I had heard and most of. Them very credible. And so I was like, hey, do you guys want to go out and try this? Or if you want to like get prepped, here's what I've heard. Now the playing field, they're like, I don't know how many people saw that reel. It's fucking level. Everybody knows.
And that's my thing. Like if it, if it gets leaked #1 like if you hear it twice, everybody you like, you just need to go ahead and put it on social media because everybody else needs to know. It's, it's freaking lame. So just go ahead and let everybody know because you're not leaking. I'd only heard the the. 3 barbell lifts from one other person right where it's going to
include. A clean and a. A snatch until Hopper said it right and then I was like, oh, but I've heard the 502550. From a bunch of I've heard it from several people right, but. My thing with that is. Always like am I getting a recycled version of like is everybody's source coming from the same individual source that started some they like it's a telephone thing, right? Are people talking about the rumor that? We started right like it goes back to the sale. Like when? When?
Susan and I did that show and then it's like, dude, I heard that something that someone says buying it, like there's a rumor going out there. I'm like, yeah, we we're talking. Yeah. Are we the ones that started or are you here for? Somebody. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, somebody gave me that. To you and I was like, yeah, we yeah, like yeah, that's been that's been that's been working for a while. Sure, if there's another group that's talking about it and it's coming.
From a different angle, like sure, cool. Like and I think that's when when the three of us talk and we hear something, we probably have different sources. And so when two or three of us hear the same thing, we we're pretty sure it come from somebody else. Like, OK, then it there's some, there's some smoke there or fire there and, and typically like like. Very rarely do I find out something before spin does, and most of the time I I text either spin or the group.
Have you heard blah blah blah blah blah right and spin? I would say 90% of the time spin always knows like 3 days before I know anything. But then So what? I don't. When he hasn't, When he doesn't know immediately, I think it's not right. The like the. Like, I mean, the only two things I can think of is one thing I'm not going to say, and then the other one is this workout and then three was Albany, NY and I. Don't even I.
Quite frankly, I don't remember. And I don't know how I got that information before anybody else, but I immediately go to it's not real because spin, it's spin didn't know, you know what I mean? Because spin knows everything. I hope, Dave. Changes the workout. I know he said he wasn't going to, but if he did, I think it would be so cool if he's like, yeah, I can do what I want. I changed the workout. Let's make it heavier. The workout. If it's, I picked the. Dumbest option. Here we.
Go. Can you imagine? That's the workout. It's it's shuttle run. It's 800. Meters of shuttle runs and line facing burpees. What if it was? What if it was? Heavy Isabel, but they just gave like different scaling options and then you always get above, you know, if you do one Rep at 155, you're like 8 different versions, yes. Yes, yes. And then like, you're like the level 4 Isabel, right? You're you're ahead of everybody that's Level 3 Isabel.
And then level 8 Isabel is obviously, you know, the heavy Isabel, right? I'm sure that the leaderboard will have. No problem sorting that out. Why? Why would it? The leaderboard. 'S great, John it one. Rep it level 8. You're ahead of everybody at level 7. Somebody text me this morning. And they were like. What's your level right now? And it's just a dash mark. As for the actual open itself, so far, two weeks, Mir ham. Colton. Winning both and I don't like that I saw Clydesdale with I
think it's data wad posted. All of the people who let's see if I can find it have who have won both of their 1st 2 weeks in their age group or adaptive division. By the way, great pool. I, I think we need to get credit to that cause it's not just the individual like this shows there's, it's a, it's a programming problem, right? And like, and I, and I've said it for a a while about individual, but the fact that 25 divisions out of all the
divisions are the same person. And I get sometimes like an adaptive division. Somebody's just better than everybody else. But it's overwhelming. Yeah. I mean, there's. Definitely a lot more in. The adaptive divisions, I think there are more athletes who are just stand like they. Are head and. Shoulders above and probably going to win a lot of those those workouts, but to have the the open elite individual top 2 and then you have 6 age group division. Winners that have won.
Both. Is that a problem? For a three-week open, yes, stop making it inclusive. Yeah, it's a problem. Program for the best people. And then you scale for the rest people, you can make gated workouts, you can you if this is it the inclusiveness that that's doing it or? Is it that the workouts are too they favor the same type? They're not they they wouldn't favor the same. If we weren't concentrated on making the workouts inclusive, is what I'm saying, does that, does that. Make sense, Ben?
Because the second workout might have ring muscle UPS and I know we did bar muscle UPS, but ring muscle UPS and handstand push ups and freaking heavy snatches like from the jump. And then the OR you know, when I won 65 doesn't have to be heavy, but the same person's not winning that an event and workout won. I'm saying the same thing happened last year like the. It's about if he. Wasn't so focused on being inclusive. The same people wouldn't win every single workout.
And I know the different movements, but it's it I don't think the inclusiveness has, I mean. It does when you can. Test harder. Things people will surpass other people, yeah, but you could do you could do rowing and. Deadlifts at 185 and you're probably going to have a different like if you did, if you did this next workout, right? And let's say it's. I mean even 220. Five. I don't say it's you think. Miriam von Rohr is the one of the fittest is the. Fittest woman in the world? Yeah.
You think she's the fittest woman in the world? She's she's going to win the Open. Well, maybe. And she won the Open last year. Do you think Erica Fola? Was the fittest woman in the world. These women can't even make the games and they're killing the open like they did last year. We have open athletes now and I like and like, like I and I'm again and I, I think Colton gets a pass and then Colton's fit enough and he's gotten third in the open before.
Like, I'm not, this isn't a dig at Colton, but we had, especially on the women's side, there are open athletes and that would not happen if you tested for the best and then just scaled it down for the rest. And it's going. And we used to program that way. We got away from 5 weeks, but the first week would look like what the leaderboard looks like now. And then the second week it would be completely different and it would go like that to five weeks. I'm sorry, Tyler.
And then the the actual fittest people would rise to the top. I think the the. Differentiator in fitness is not all that it's, it's not drastic enough. So it's like 2025.2 is so short and the really the workout for the the top athletes is in that last round and there's just not much different differentiation you can make. And if so, if you're as fit as those guys proved to be in 25.1, you'll be fine. Now for the middle people. It's going to be different. For sure.
But anybody at the top, it's like you're probably going to be about the same. It's they're too close. I understand that the workouts are different and they do test different things, but it's not different enough. And if it were just Colton and Miriam, I would not have the issue with it. It's that it's across divisions. It's that it's a Lassnie Aziz Azabel. And Marissa flowers. Marissa Flowers. Is 411 and like, she's really, really fit. She is, she's a fan record holder, right?
But. She's 4 foot 11 and. Really good at a couple things. And if two of the three of those weeks are, that's what? If she's 7th place in the world, that would not happen in the past. Yeah, I, I will. Say I don't like the the watering down of the open. 10 years ago it was. Way different. It was just. Better if we went. Through all of the open scare you with the programming. 20. 14 to 2017, 2018, 2014 to 2018 go look at how those open weeks are programmed.
Go go do it. And it's so much better to a ridiculous amount. And I'm not even talking like I think you need 25 point 125.1 should be the first Test. It's a great first week open test The second, the second week is, is all of the all of the the fittest people in the world can just go through the whole thing unbroken. It's it's it's bad. And they can. The the issue with a three-week open. I think people like the three-week open because it's easier to administer and it's not so long.
But the problem is it binds you. As far as programming goes, I mean, we've talked about this a million times. There's just only so many types of workouts that you can do to test broadly in three weeks. And so 5 weeks you can kind of like expose people with different combinations a little bit more. You can get a little bit more niche. So it's like you can do that weightlifting event in one in one week because you can offset it with another niche event or two niche events in the in the
rest of the week. You can't do that in a three-week open. And so it's like it's kind of always going to be like this. If we stick with the three-week open. I can't believe that I'm making an argument to go back to the five week open. But like if people want to really have fun with the programming in the open, the only way to go is the five week open. Could you? Could you ever see a time where the. House in the weekend. Yeah, could you ever see where
they released 2? Workouts I would rather do. That dude in one week that. 'D be cool, yeah, do. 22 and then one. Yeah, and maybe give an. Extra day to submit. Your score like till Tuesday or something? I think that's much better. Much better. And then you can't repeat so many times. And if you want to, you can, but I think 221 and that way you can like it's the opens the same every single year it's the same, I will agree. With every year I mean if it it really is deadlifts and rowing
tomorrow like hang clean. And jerks and. Burpees over a dumbbell? Pretty darn close. You got thrusters and gymnastics pretty close, and now you got deadlifts and rowing pretty close. Like there aren't that many differences. Like, yeah, you throw it in jump rope with your gymnastics and thrusters like it's, it's boring. It's the same. Go look at the last like. Four years of. The open it's it's boring and I'm. I'm it did not.
Used to be that way. I feel like everybody needs to go look at the workouts that were programmed in 2014 to 28. Oh man, they were. And that's what I'm. Saying like it's beautiful and I'm not. Saying like, go ahead, go ahead. I'm sorry. It just it didn't matter who you.
Were you were going to get exposed in at least one week, It made it made everybody nervous because you are always going to do something that either hurt really bad or that you couldn't do like that you didn't know if you could pull off or not and a lot of times. Sorry, no, you're doing good, John. You're. Overcompensating now. A lot of times.
There would, there would usually be one week where you only could do 10 reps, Yeah, like, like for a lot of people in your affiliate and it didn't everybody, everybody's different, right? But there would be one week where you could only do 10 reps in that workout. Like it was a badge of honor to say that you RX the open Well, the four, the four week or the. 4 minute gated workouts. How many people just did 4 minutes of work and were like that's it, see ya. See ya and that's.
Not a bad thing. It gives you something to strive for. But like and like you you used to be like. You're considered pretty fit if you can RX all of the workouts. That's what it was considered pretty fit and now it's it's laughable. Freaking Grant RX is the workouts catching. Strays. Damn. He does. He's he's been playing.
Games he he made it look like he did way better than me last time and then he redid it and did he did do better, but keeping it real 23.1 No, no, he he put a reel out or story out. He showed himself doing like all these bar muscle ups and he's like, dude, I beat. You by 1. I redid it on. Monday and I beat you by like. Seven or something like that. Oh damn, he wasn't. He wasn't going to tell me that, and I was.
Like I don't, I don't have the ability to go redo this thing on on Monday, but he's really lucky. The double unders. In his workout are irrelevant, giving a real go against. Me and 24.1 right now some. Dumbbell snatches in a. Burpees. We we should say too though. That we're saying that the workouts are boring, the open's still cool, I'm still having great time in the open. It's just there's some tuning we can do to make it more. I think again, I think when.
You look at the middle of the leaderboard, it's still a good test for where you are right? And and probably even like the. Outside the top 10%. And even even I think even two to 10% still get something out of it, but when you're looking. At the top of the top. I would say the open from 10 years ago was a better test to see who was really there and it mattered more like you had to be top 20 in your region to go to. The next stage like. You had to do it and it had to
actually filter it out. The Open is still for these, the top athletes. It's the pre season. You can see how how little Tia. Trained or work worked at it and she still easily topped 1%. Like it's not even hard. No. And that's that's. What sucks is it's no longer a test for the fittest on Earth. It's a it's just an entrance into the season and that that's what kind of blows. Grant wants to go against John in 24. .1 I don't. I think Grant would win that
one. I'll kill myself before I lose. The grant no work. I. I don't think your burpees would do so. Hot grant you have to do 100 bar facing. Burpees in under 5 minutes before I even entertain doing anything against you. OK, you have to. That's where you have to get before you we could even do anything. And then we'll go live on the spin just to see what happens. OK, we'll see how you do under pressure. John's. Mcnuggets dealer members. Won't care that much.
If they had to scale, I don't care much. Now that's the What are you talking about? That's the difference in the. Attitude of where? We are today versus where we were and what Crossfit's attitude was 10 years ago. Yeah, the early. Days it was we do hard things and if I can't do it, I'm going to work to get it and I suck because I don't get it. Now it's we got to make sure everybody feels good and can do it. Like you see it questions the days we can review. How dare you put pull ups in
there? Or how dare you put double unders in there that's too high skilled to have double unders. Go do high rocks. Goodbye I. Don't want you here. Yeah, I can't compare myself to the top. If you can't do double unders and can't do pull ups like Dave said, that's the point. Don't compare yourself. To those guys. Like you're so far away removed from that. Like it doesn't matter Grant if this is the. Case man, then I don't I. Don't want to be a part of?
Your school 'cause you have no idea what hard actually is, man, you got no clue. You're talking as a High Rockser right now and you don't even know it 'cause you're new to CrossFit and it's sad. You would love CrossFit so much more if you knew what it was. Yeah, education. It was so. I mean like I'm, I remember in 2014. Like having terrible scores and just being stoked and then just being stoked. A lot of people did decent. Did, yeah.
Or, or just like getting to some a part of the workout and not being able to do it. And then that's driving me the entire year. I'm not going to get to a piece of workout next year and not be able to do it. And it's, it's not that it's embarrassing or I feel bad about myself, it's that, no, I need to accomplish that. That's what I wanted. And it's like, that's what the open should be. OK, you only got 1 pull up in the open this year. No big deal.
Work get 2 pull ups. Get 10 pull ups next year. But when we have. 18 different divisions. And scales and foundations it, it waters it down, and it's just meaningless. Was it 16 point? Was it 16? .2 that's the swap mean one. The game swap mean one yeah, like. What was it, 3032 people? Finished the workout. That was it. That was it, 32. People in the entire world on men's side finished the workout, and that was a workout like if you.
Made it to the 225 bar like you're pretty good like I not not. The world, but like. At your gym. Like you were. Pretty good, yes, Double under toast so hard and like the 225 bar. If you got past that bar, then you're freaking fit. And then it took it took a lot of you know, but there's nothing. There's nothing that we do. Where only 30 people finish, right? Like imagine throwing AA300. And 50 LB or 360 LB. Squat clean at. The end, right? And it'd be nice if you wouldn't
get there. If I could put my. Body in just 20 like 15 dude, it would be so, so awesome. I'm telling y'all, the perception of my fitness would be wildly different because the scores that would happen on that versus what happens now. It's just it's it's embarrassing. Yeah. I mean, I mean. That that is the level of difficulty it was back then. Like they made it so hard that only 32 men could finish the workout. I actually want to. Do that. I'm going to do that. Workout this week or next,
'cause I just want to know. I remember not being able to get to the 225 bar and then watching people. That was the one where people figured out you could do singles so it would keep your heart rate lower. And then see you were having guys getting to the 225 bar that couldn't clean it because they did singles all the way through the Toast bar. Yeah. I mean that that workout. So you just got. To be really fit to to do that workout. It was a good one, man. Did you luck out?
You're so funny. Pink shorts, man. I, I just pray that I could look like whatever you look like one day. I, I trust me like, man, you don't understand. I'm going to go to sleep tonight. And it didn't just be thinking about how I my body doesn't look the way pink shorts wants me to look man. Like it's just everything about you it it just makes me want to be better. I'm so sorry that I did not meet your standard. I hope pink shorts is. Jacked as fuck. Hey, you know what? Pink shorts.
Listen, I'm going to be in Albany, NY sometime in sometime in August. When when is the game spin? It's. August 1st weekend of August. What's the date? I'd say you. Come meet me in Albany. New York pink shorts and we'll
see what's what. We could set up an Octagon and me and you can go at it and that can be the tune up for the CrossFit Games. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Sev, they can go. After us, so we'll be the undercard Sevon can sponsor it. I don't even I don't know what you look like pink shorts, but I will make my life's mission to make this fight happen and it's going to be you and me right before the CrossFit games Everybody can watch.
Let's do it. If you take me up on it, I I hope you're like crazy good at fighting too, just because that would make it fun. I, I might get knocked out, but I'll, I'll have a good time doing it. And if you're not, man, I hope he's good. Good luck. I got about 30 seconds of vicious Viking power that's coming for you, and then after that I might run out of gas. We know before.
We move on to blind. Rankings David went Either T is out or she's trying to make 2020 but a challenge for her by seeing if she can still win without muscle. Yeah. I mean, you guys start challenging yourself, do you think? Tia. We will see Tia at the CrossFit Games this year. Yeah, I think she'll. I think she'll still. Win. She's not going to the game you. Think she You think she's not? Doing it I think. She's out, I think. She's well, what makes you think she's out?
I just. Think she's geared up for high rocks and I think that's OK. Oh, I do too. I got. Nothing. There's no. I have no qualms if she's not in, but this is what you want, John? Yeah. No, no. I. Don't care either way, I just think that she, I don't know y'all might be right. I have no. Feeling if about it at all. I love that she is doing the. Open the way that she's doing it. I think it's cool.
Like her little videos. I do wish that they'd like actually put the camera on Shane and Kiefer going like teaming up to try to beat her in the workout and still not beating her in the workout. But it but it's cool, like she's doing these little challenges and like she's still having fun in the open. She's still doing the open. She still did 25.2 and twice in a couple hours. See. Yeah, she did it twice.
I love what she's doing and still being involved and it's like if she doesn't go to the games, like you won, you're playing side missions now and that's fucking cool. Yeah, I just listening to her. I. Think she did the The Seal Foundation podcast and she's talking about, you know, where it's very difficult to get fast and maintain muscle and like she made a comment that that was like the first time she's really touched a barbell since Rogue at 25.2. She she also spoke. About sorry. Joan.
She also spoke about her. Like. Competitively in a past tense. In their most recent video, I. Don't think I caught that. Yeah, she was talking about. Like back when I used to do this, that's kind of how she phrased something. I was like, Oh yeah, like mindset wise. Like back when I was serious. Yeah, you know. OK, so. I'll, I'll, OK. I I don't. Disagree with you? Guys, I I honestly have no idea. But. I think if she chose to do the
games, she would still win. That's what I'm that's what I'm saying. Not if she's in the shape like not. Maybe if she gears up she totally drops high rocks. I just keep the middle of the pack and the strength events. And and I think she's fitter and like endurance wise, she's fitter. Dude. That would be wild if she. If she still went and she's I mean imagine her gymnastics.
Right now dude like I'm talking the only thing that takes a hit is her lifting and she would even if she's middle she still she would still. Win dude. She she wins by. Like 200 points, man I, I, there's no and Laura's not here. It's not even like somebody else is better than everybody else. She. Has to be. Better than Alexis Raptors like I don't know how I would feel about it if she.
It's not half assing because she's still doing high rocks and CrossFit but if she was like I'm going to do this on the side that would be insane. I just. Think she's too much better than? Everybody else to to like I would still bet on her to win and and like very complicated if she goes to the games yes, she. Is doing something to win. I just don't think she's not going to go to the games and not be there to win and I don't think she's going to risk going to the games and losing because
she's not training at 100%. This is a. This is a good point. It's very. Young. I bet she puts on that. Muscle. Back so fast that Hillary makes a video. Maybe she could. I I. I I would. Prefer if she didn't see I, Alan. Alan Pugh Why would she do Torian though? So Torian put out a list of all of their past champions and collaborate with all of them. I mean, CJ Walker, I don't he'll CJ Walker, dude, he's. He's he was like.
On CJ Walker's The Truth Man. He did regionals back in the day I. Believe they have been on a team at the games like Brandon Swan. The truth, John. Yeah, dude, CJ. Walker ain't playing around. Man, I. I'm not. Convinced that just because Torian. Made this that she's competing. Wait, but doesn't it say like committed or? Something what accepted. It says accepted behind them. I still don't believe. It I don't believe it. Those are so cool. Graphics. Those, those are really neat.
I'm not. I'm going with. She may have accepted. Maybe she goes and. Does it, but I don't think she accepts her invite to the games. I just don't see you're putting yourself in jeopardy. To have a risk of not winning. So you need to actually train CrossFit. For the next. I just think she. Still wins. She's so. Much better than everybody, man. I just think I don't if she goes to, sorry. If she goes to. If she goes.
To Torian. Like, it still could be her contributing, competing and like, you know, doing her thing, giving back to Australia and her community. And that would be cool. And if she didn't make it to the Games, even if she did, I think she may just be like. No, sorry, I'm I'm. I'm going to. Retire 3rd place gets it. That's true. She could win. And be like, this is my last competition. I wanted it to do it in Australia like like she, you can make a thing out of it.
This is where I this is where I started and this is where I want to end it. Gracie Walton, you get to go to the games if she. Won and then handed. The ticket to the games to Gracie? That would suck so well, they get they they get. They get two though, right? They get 2, they get 2 spots. Maddie start, you get. To go to the. Games I like, I like that. I could see that. I like that a lot, too. I just, yeah. Let's let Tia that's what you should do.
If you're not doing the games. That's what that's what that's what you should do and then all the best to you and high rocks. I hope you take it over John Young, public Relations. Manager. That's right. Blind rankings I'm excited about. This one no wrong. One we skipped wrong. Whoa, whoa, whoa. That's. That's that's a. Little preview of what's coming up. Blind rankings. Before we get into blind rankings, though, we need to keep John awake. I don't know.
How you caught that, we're going to go. Look at the top performances open. Colton Merton still sitting there. Number one, obviously, Nicholas Bedone in second. Drake Lewis moved up. So did Brandon. Nikki Rogers, CJ Gerald made his appearance on the top 10 on the men's side. So did Josh Mattis and Mathias Porter. All in there. Zane Healy, his first bar muscle up since shoulder surgery. Still killed it. Still did it. Hannah Hardy sitting there in the top women's spot.
Nicolette Torrigiani moves up. Samantha Pugh moves up. Morgan Porter moves up. And Lido Callo Gianni hanging tough. Nataya Flores moved into the top ten, and then so did Becca Voight Miller and Haley Camphor. So some new people moving in, even though he said it's too, too similar. We got some new people moving up into the top ten. As for some honorable mentions, John Kim, he's now 4th in his age group for Tyler's Trash. Oh yeah, John. Timmy. Saunders, I looked. Up his profile.
Very much huge yes. Tammy Saunders. So if you watched 25.2 and you saw the two, the man and the woman who were talking about their foundation and some of the charity work they were doing, Tammy was that woman there. So she was the one that was on. Oh, really? Yeah. Oh, yeah. I remember you posted that. It's. Cool, I'm not a big fan that all. Of the most improved is meatspin. On the yeah. On the men's side down there, we need it though. Well, I am the women's side.
I mean, Tyler, you have. You have five of the six most improved. That's right. That's because we needed it from the. First week we were last played and and I have nobody it's. Just not looking great. No, you're not doing so hot. And then. The three of us, I dropped down from 33rd to 39 thousandth. Johnny moved up 13,000 spots and then Tyler moved up a few thousand. So good job, Tyler. And then that. Quarterfinals. That 10, that 10%. I really am now. Now it's like if I don't.
Make it. I'm going to be really pissed. I'm at 92nd right now. Isn't it Well. Is it the top 12% that's in the second tier your level? But I I kind of want to just stay in. The top 10% I think this is going to be my lowest open I've. Had since like 2018. This is like this. I'm not kidding. Like, because I'm pretty sure I've beaten Tyler like every single year until until this year, and rowing and deadlets are not going to be your thing.
I mean versus the population? I I think I'll go up with that workout. Yeah, I think you'll be OK. I don't think I'll. I don't think I'll beat. Tyler, but I think not if it ends with 25. Wall blocks. Not if there's 50 Cal row at the end though, you know. Yeah, there's who who sends it. Who sends it the most? You know, I don't think you'll catch Tyler on that, but that's I'm. Not saying I will, but I I do. Think I will go up is all I'm saying. Oh yeah, sure.
Yeah. Wait, do you guys know the workout? I've heard it. Standings. We got a little bit of a gap, a little bit of a gap. I'm nervous there with 82. Percentile. We did have four people not submit scores, so you're looking at the top of 111 for each of our teams. So it is a little bit different, but overall we all went up in a percentile, so we're all moving up. Do you want to start with last place? Last. Place he meets Ben. We are. We're still trailing. But you were you were 70.
Five last time and you moved up. Four points. We're moving up. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. We are doing better. Next, we'll look at who's in first place. Oh no. Oh, and he he extended the lead too, because we were like within the same percentage point. Tyler. Yeah. Yeah. Who? Was going to be nervous so it's coming down to the last. Week there's definitely some movement that's available this is clear that the 1st 2:00. Weeks are just exactly alike because this shows it.
This is the data, right? Do we have enough lead to extend? To extend to the wind, we'll see how. We'll see how tall Tyler. 'S athletes are don't let me down athletes, please. Tyler has all the short team and we. Got to go 3 for three here. Cycle those thrusters fast. What if we 3. Like Tyler takes. Like A7. Percent dip like down, yeah, we. Need to. We need to hurry. Up, meet, spin, do some, do well, this one and hopefully.
Beat, he can do the. The seven minutes of burpees, Yeah, I need a spin like improvement to. Week 3. That's right. All right. Blind rankings the. New CEO, you guys are going? To be ranking five people who could who? Could be the CEO, might be the. CEOI just said they could be ACEO. You guys are going to rank those five people the new owner. Came in. This could be. This. Could be anybody. I'm going to tell you who the number one. Owner should be Who is it? Who is it?
Tyler. It's it's Malik. Malik, how do you say it? Malik? I'm saying Malik. It's Malik. He's. A He's a great dude. Going to be a fearless leader. Everything Malik will say will be inspirational and amazing. He will lead the affiliates into the green all over the world. He's going to add 30 million Crossfitters to CrossFit. He's a great guy. Malik, if you need anybody to work for you, you let me know. Cool. OK, me too, Matt. I don't know who you. Are but I.
I will work hard. I definitely wasn't doing that for. Ulterior motives, John. No, no, no. You're good. Hey, I'm associated with you. You know, whatever you end up running, I will probably end up on the same thing. Sort of kinda, you know what I mean? Like they're in and out jobs. Well, I mean like I'm. I've just said he's with Tyler and he kissed your ass. I mean I didn't kissed your ass. John just needs 50,000. I got the. Two that. Will make the greatest predictions you've ever seen.
I've never seen somebody as accurate as this guy. All you got to do is pay him $50,000. A a year and he's got a little bit of tism, but I promise you it's worth it. All right, let's see how you. Guys, rank a potential new CEO, the first one, Dana White. I. Love Dana White. Yeah, I'm with it. I'll take Dana White. All day, dude, Dana White's amazing, man dude coming out hot I. Don't know that we've. Ever ranked somebody number one out the gate? Dude, I don't, I don't care. Like.
I I love everything about what he would bring. Yeah. Wanna love? I have no idea. What Malik means, But it's MALEK, so if that changes your question, it's a dude's name. Wanna. Yeah, let's see. Next up, Jocko Willink, 3/4. Why 4 Are you? Are you? Set on 4. I think 4 gives us more flexibility all. Right, this is the most this. Is the most. OK, name I've ever seen 4I I mean like. He does like he. Owns this company. That's cool. What else he makes, He makes
the. The the Mulk, that's I know what he you could. Drink a million of those red. Drinks. I know who he is. I He runs a. Company that they like they their expertise is like vision and and execution and bringing teams back together. So it's like he would definitely have the expertise to do it. I don't know like it would be, I'm thinking our European folks would have a hard time with Jocko being the, the, the guy. So could be 4. I'll go with four next. Up Elon Musk.
Oh, that should have been one. Just 'cause we have. We'd have so much money. Are you kidding me? I, I think somehow we would get money just be doing what we do. Elon Musk is. Two, I don't. Care if he doesn't know anything about CrossFit at all. All of a sudden, World Fitness Project is no more because the game's just going to pay 2 million to the winner and 40th place gets $5000. I'll. I want to say 3. We'll give John the two. Do you? Do you understand?
What would happen if Elon Musk bought CrossFit? Yeah, but he's also a company. Guy, yeah, I think. He might. He might. He's not going to care about anything that we care about, John. Exactly, exactly, I think. Elon would just be like, oh, this is cool. I'll just give you guys what you need and I'll help you guys. And then you guys just run with it. Here's a. Here's a. Here's a pot of money. Go do it. That's what exactly what he. Would do? Are you kidding me? Maybe Tesla will be the.
Sponsor of the. CrossFit Games, like he'll see it as a marketing opportunity. Oh yeah, then it's a 5 dude, he. Bought Twitter and. And like doesn't care if he's losing. Money he has so. Much money It's not about making money. Does that make sense? He he would, he would self. Like populate the team competition in like 15 years they'll. Populate the team. Competition, we just got a lot. Of cook for a while that's. Right next. Up Daniel Chafee 3 based on just
what I hear about. Daniel, I do hear he's good. Same. Just not as good as Elon Musk. Last one he doesn't have AS. Much money as Elon. Musk. I think you guys. Won, I think, you guys. Won. I think you did. Last one. Frank. Frank. Frank. Yeah. Let's. Go. Yeah. Guys, if you don't. If you don't know who Frank is, good. We don't want we, we don't care about Frank I. Was hoping one of you guys. Would put somebody. Down there in five. Oh, I would have.
Been so pissed. If we put Frank in one on accident anywhere but 5. Frank draws something out of me could have all put. It #1 though, honestly. Yeah, for for sure. They they were all good picks, but Frank draws something out of me in the comments. I don't know if you. Guys are watching. Sevon's comments. I just want to bash him sometimes. Was he? Was he in there this afternoon? Oh yeah, yeah, that's good. I haven't seen the Frank in our chat.
So Jeremy, Jeremy world and totally redeemed yourselves from last week. Thank you, Jeremy. We're good at this, yeah. That's good. I'm good with this I. Like it? It's a great list. Best list. Impressed all. Right, last one just news Gmail, Harris, it's going to the. World Fitness project. He's also doing a Ironman triathlon and needs a bike. John. What do you think about? Gee's statement. I I feel. I don't know. I feel, I don't, I feel bad for
picking on him at this point. He's just, I cannot stand it when all athletes care about his money when like you aren't going to work out unless there is an opportunity to get paid. I think if money is your driving force, then you it's it's it. It says a lot. About your character, if money is why you do things OK in. Saying that. I'm looking for sponsors for the grid league and I, I need money for of plane tickets and and food.
So if you go to my Instagram page, I, I have a link for donations if anybody wants to sponsor my grid league journey and all that said. But with that said, I think I, I, I buy my own bike. That's all like that's what I want to say. I buy my own bike. OK. That's the line right there. This video. If you guys haven't watched. Spin Studio. With an updated clean by by the way, you know they had. My 400 lbs. So I had to update it and like when I when that was happening,
I did that today. I don't know if anybody knows that. I'm trying to. We'll do that here in a second. Yeah, trying to. Tell every person I can. In the world, of course. You're #23 Oh. Yeah, you know, my my knees. My knees. My knee did hurt a little bit, but with this, with this homegrown relief CBD, I've been trying to I, I saw that one more time, John, what was that? Home growth. Relief CBD. There it is. Hey right there.
And all you do. You put your finger in it like this and then you just rub it on your joints and dude, it freaking works. I was sore and now I'm not. I was really skeptical of it because I'm. Skeptical of all things? But, and honestly, and I thought it, I thought it was going to smell like like have like a weed smell to it, right? Like just a little bit doesn't smell like that at all. It's kind of like an Icy hot kind of smell to it. So menthol, yeah.
Yeah, yeah. But no, I'm telling I went to my knee and I did it on my elbow and it is, I don't know. I don't know where Taylor puts it, but he only know where Taylor puts it. He uses. The opportunity to tell us everything. You know what? Yeah, Yeah. Look at this, look at this. Look. My wife hates all types of supplements and she said it smells good. OK? It is. It is worth a crack, I'm telling you. I would I'd get. Some. And I don't. I don't have a code. I don't have a code.
Hold on yourself. With that comment. I. Know what weed smells like, Barry? So no, no, I have not ever smoked weed, but I know what it smells like and it doesn't smell like that. But no serious it actually it actually works. I'm using I haven't. This is the only product I've used though. Have you guys ever used it? The is the muscle and joint? No, I'm not a, I'm not a sponsored. Good athlete. Well, you don't have to be to. You don't have to. Be to buy some.
I'll, I'll send some where do where do I go, John? Is there a? Code or anything? Oh, there's a website? Home growth. Relief CBD just type that in and then it'll pop up on the old Google. And how do they know we sent you sent them? They won't, no. And that's. OK, you know. I'm not. I'm not. I'm in the comments, but in the notes on you. I'm not even in. It I'm not even in this for. The sponsor, I'm telling you, it it, it works OK. I'm trying it. I'm trying it.
My knee's been hurting and it doesn't doesn't hurt anymore. I'm not in it for the sponsor at all. I'm just telling you guys that. It's it's, it's freaking awesome. I it all jokes aside, it does work. You do. You do feel good afterwards. I don't know how I'll feel the next day, but it does. It does make your pain kind of go away almost immediately. Taylor pitching it made me. Really think that it. Really does help because I know
he has bad like his knees hurt. Yeah, no. And he's had a whole bunch of knee. Surgeries and I just crank my joints every now and again, but no, it is cranking joints. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a. Well, listen, Taylor cranks other things. I crank joints. It's it's it's it's what we do. He cranks bike shafts. That's why he doesn't. No, he doesn't. Oh, he does. Can't. You're right, he can't because. He doesn't have a bike. Nobody will buy him 1 poor. What are the chances?
Let's. Let's set a prop bet right now. That guy ever does a triathlon. Oh, it's not hard, dude. You could do a triathlon, yeah, but I'm saying he wanted. To do a bodybuilding and Iron Man and and now he's doing WFP and then what was great about that video is he said that he he was like you just when you're doing 10 things, you're not
going to do any of them good. And so you need to do one thing and then but I was like you, but you're talking about doing triathlon or whatever and or an Ironman and do the WFP. It's just I was like you're all over the place. I can't understand you. I want to continue this key but we. Do have to show John. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I have to play it on mute. I would I would highly recommend anybody going and watching for the actual soundtrack to it because it's the best Max out
music. That's out there, man. That's right. There it is. And I actually have something I want to. I'm going to send this to you guys in secret. I'm not going to send it. I'm not going to share it with the public, but I think you guys will get a kick out of it. Like what happened immediately before this. Well, yeah, dude. This is crazy.
Were you nervous? I don't know if you see, but in the middle of. That lift, it did shake me a little bit and I was nervous in that moment because I could feel my knees in that moment. I honestly, I could feel everything. My whole body was kind of like I'm trying to not use the word. Cranked but. It no, but no, not nervous at the lift I was doing mid lift.
I was nervous. I'm about to do this and fail like that's what I was nervous about, but that's checked off the list and now I'm going to start doing doing Isabel a couple times for no reason. Do you remember what your clean was like when? Your first time you ever did a clean? Yeah. What was it, 265? The very actually so so it's still pretty good. Very the very first.
Time, the very first. Time I ever walked into a CrossFit gym, they were doing a Max power clean for the strength and I didn't know how to do anything right. And I just like muscled it and off the floor, no contact, just anything any. And I got to 265 and they acted like it was a, you know, kind of a big deal. It was there are not a lot of strong people there. And I was like, oh man, I, I think I could get good at this like if I knew how to do it right.
And then I started watching Chinese people. And then that's when Jay White Barbell came from power. And then I was like, oh, it is pretty easy. I don't know why more people aren't good at this. And you three you, you scored at 3:15. When you were 12, yes. That's. Stupid. I don't even know what to say about that. I had like some state. Powerlifting records in Missouri when I was younger. I don't, I don't remember in what, but I'm sure they've
gotten beat by now. But that was back when like sunlight power. I don't know if anybody's familiar with that, but no, my, my dad had me squat a lot and it paid off. It helps. I guess so and. With home growth. Relief CBD I can. Continue doing I can. Continue doing these things so yeah so I'm excited serious guys give this give this give it a try and put it in the comments if it if you feel good if it works for you guys I actually think if you get. Him past the weed.
Stigma, I think I'm actually think I'm going to try all of all of the things, probably not the gummies, but all the rest of the things, Barclay said that. He hit 3. 15 at 24 on what a yoke carry. We're training now, see? How's the WFP? May in the middle of the month. And I'm still thinking about doing a half Iron Man on May 31st but I need a bike so if anyone out there. Wants to finance. A bike for me. Oh yes. So guys, I'm finally going to say it here. Ugly, aren't you?
Coming to the South Cup, Not going to the game, not doing the season, no, I'm just doing the open due to pure spontaneous pressure. Yeah, because I wanted to do it here with the community and say some nice words. I decided to do it and also because it. Earns points for me. To be called to roll. And because of all this circus happening with CrossFit, nobody knows what will happen. I decided that, well, logically, financially and in every way, it's much, much better for me to
compete in the WFP. Why? So, for example, let's compete in Brazil. I mean, there's no. Better place to. Compete than Brazil. I love competing. It's an atmosphere. But you know, you have to understand and I have to understand as well that this is my profession. So this is where I earn, right? This is where I pay my bills and everything else to go to Brazil, that's competing this season, right? I just spend money. I spend money, right? I already spent on the Open already.
Then I have to spend for the semi final. I have to spend no one to the South cup. I have to spend for the South cup. It's going to go to the games, pay for the hotel at the games, pay for the flight to the games, pay for the flight to the Havana, pay for the hotel in Havana, pay for the food in Havana, pay everything. And on the other hand, I have a contract with an organization that's treating me as an athlete, that I am a professional.
So wow, I only get money to compete in the WWPI, don't spend anything. They pay for my flight, they pay for my hotel, and they pay me an annual salary to continue. Oh, but why did you come in other years? Because in other years I had sponsors who paid me bonuses. So if I won in a competition, I earned a very significant bonus. If I won an event, I earned a very significant bonus. So for me it was very worthwhile to come down and do everything
there. And also because like, well, you know, I will not want to compete here in the United States. I will want to compete in Brazil, which is my people, right? And secondly, because of the visibility this year, it is not very worthwhile because of the whole. Situation that's happening. And what else? And also about the return on investment. There you go. Chase that dollar, boys. Do you know Do you know the? I know Spin doesn't watch the Office, but when Toby.
Oh, OK, thanks. Good job, Spin. I'm. I'm sorry, I thought you didn't watch The Office when Toby comes around the corner or something and Michael goes everything. About you I. Hate or like why? Why is it the way you? Why is it you? Are the way you are? Yeah. Why are you the way the way you? Are or like you make everything bad like like like that's like what pops in my head just listening to that I I cannot explain like the anger it gives me when somebody just money is
the reason they do anything. It makes, you know, the entitled thing that Adrian Conway came out with, Like you couldn't, you couldn't be more right. And it's just. Oh yeah, thank you, Barkley. I hate. So much about the things you choose to be that's. Truer. Words could not be said and like I don't want to be mad at Gee. I don't want to dislike Gee. I really don't. The only reason why I'm so I I put guy so. Low or like ranted.
On him in the past, it's because everybody thought he was going to be so good at CrossFit and he got lucky his rookie year and got 3 lifting events and he was 7th place and I remember saying this is the best he's ever going to do. He's not ever going to be better than this. And nobody, everybody was against me on that. And now everybody's full tilt turned the other way and everybody doesn't thinks Gee is useless.
And Gee believes that now. And now he's going to WFP because he can't even be in the top 1%. This is flawless. Craig. This is amazing, Craig Richards Wait, I want to compete in. Brazil and get the WFP as an Indiana, Denmark and Arizona nailed. It. And I. It's just, it's, it's upsetting that I don't know what drives him, I thought. He shared that no, no, no, no, no not money, not. Money. No, that's not what I'm talking. About like, I don't know what makes him think the way he
thinks, right? Like like. No, Tyler, it's not just. Money. It's not just money, it's it's like he said he wanted to. Be compete in Brazil. And he's going to India. He's not going to Brazil at all, John. It's all that's all he talked about in the video was money. No, I, I know Tyler. That's but I'm. I'm it's not, it's not what I'm trying to get at. Like why? Is that the end all for? Him Why? Well, John? I was. Thinking about this look at his
career, CrossFit was at its. Pinnacle when he came. And started and a teenager and then he entered when the athletes were being making the most money that they were going to make was when he was coming up. And he's made more money than I think more people would guess that he is making his contracts 100. Percent from sponsorship. With. His his contracts with. Sponsors. I've heard some numbers that would blow your mind that he's making that money. No, I, I, I, I know he's.
The shoe, I guarantee you it's. Like Danny's feeling of those things in Brazil, he doesn't know. The sport without that. That's and that's, that's sad. Well, it's not his fault. But I think there's a lot that are in that that. Situation where they want the guaranteed cash they want to be, they keep saying professional, OK, OK. But but like, I think, I think there's something though that hasn't really been talked. About is when they talk about. Professional.
They want to make all of their money from competing. Yet. Michael. Jordan, LeBron James, all of the biggest athletes, Tiger Woods made head and shoulders more money from sponsorships than they ever did with prize purses. Now, those, those, those prize purses, the, the, the contracts that they signed, the prize money that Tiger Woods won, sure, millions of dollars. It's a bigger sport, but so is the the sponsorships. But at the end of the day, they made most of their money from
sponsorships. That's how most of these athletes are making money today. It's not in the 1,000,000. Most of them 99.9% aren't. But I feel like where everybody keeps going to is, well, to be a professional athlete, I have to make all. I have to make a complete earning a living solely from prize money, or in this case guaranteed salaries I don't think. We're a small small. Sport, if you want to even call it that. I mean this we're, we're literally looking for the fittest on Earth.
And you're using that? Platform to. Then show your value. And get. Sponsorships, it's like. How they play soccer in the UK, they have like this tiered system where it's like different. I I can't remember how they they have different leagues. Yeah, they have different. Leagues and it's like you're in your.
Own division of like how good you are so it's the level system essentially right it's a tier system and you can compete and you can actually qualify all the way from the bottom up to the top and you have these teams that exist in these cities and they play against other cities and do all this stuff right and these athletes think that our sport is so big that they're in the top Premier League and they're. Not that the sport. 'S not there.
We don't have a system A tier. System, but not only do we not have a tier. System but they think they're at the top of that tier and that's that tier doesn't exist right we're not we're we're. Single a baseball level, we have like 2 athletes that are in that tier right? I just think if money is your driving. Force then you're never going to be what you could be you're never going to reach the potential that your body can do and I'm the I've never been a Gee believer as far as being the
fittest in the world. We all know that, but you will forever not reach your potential. And I used to think that was the driving force of everybody. I and I know like Matt was in it for money, but it, it got really personal for Matt when he lost to Ben Smith and that awakened a monster that wasn't there before. So but like, you know, rich for sure. But like, like I just back in the day, I feel like it would,
and maybe I'm wrong. I feel like it the driving force for most athletes was I want to see what my body can do. I want to be the fittest man or fittest woman in the world. I want to reach, I want to stretch what's possible for the body can what the body can do right? Just like my track athletes, I want to push the envelope what how fast you can go right And I that's all I ever wanted to be.
I wanted to be the fittest that my body could be like that might not be. It might be semi final level. It might be right before semi final level, but I wanted to be the fittest that I possibly could be. I just want to reach my potential. And I thought that was the driving force for most of the
athletes. And I'm, I promise, I promise you, the athletes now, if that's not what you seek and that's not what drives you and it's money and sponsorships, you're never going to reach the potential that your body could be. And you're going to get passed up by people that that is their driving force or you're the way they used to go. You're why, you know what I mean? If you're wise to make money, you will not last. And like D, his fitness has plummeted.
He used to be way fitter than he is now. We see that, you know what I mean? It, it, I think it's funny that he comes out with that video after the first two workouts and he's on the borderline of top 1%, you know? What I mean I that's that's kind of. A coincidence of when that video came out, right? Oh yeah, I, I. Just after he didn't do all this. And maybe I'm reaching. And maybe I'm reaching. Maybe. I'm reaching with that.
I just if you wake up in the morning and your driving force isn't isn't to be the best that you can be. Not to sound super cheesy, but. And and I'm not saying like. I'm not saying for that to take over your. Life, but like if the reason you train and the reason you do what you do is to reach that potential, you're always going to beat everybody that that's not their reason. I would I would say that like. You can do that without taking.
Over your life too. I'm not saying to like Mal O'Brien and that's, you know, and you end up burning out, right? Because every single second of the day you can't get your head off of it, right? That's not what I'm saying, but just what drives you. I would say like look at. Weight Olympic weightlifting in the United States 10 years ago. Watch all the Cal strength videos like those dudes were living in a single house like piled onto each other eating like bare minimum cheap food.
Just to get by. Because of the love of their sport and. They they grinded. At it and grinded at it. And now there are. Opportunities for people. Right, and that we are there are the the next generation of athletes made it to the Olympics like nobody in the States did anything other than a, you know, a couple people until recently. And now we're finally starting to hit the world stage. But it was if those people hadn't put that passion into it and just wanted the money like
nothing ever got there, right. Look. I mean, look at, look at the. Wrestling team with. Freaking Team Foxcatcher, you know what I mean? They were on nothing. Have you ever seen that documentary? I mean, it's it's not about them ended up doing good, but they did. They won gold medals from that because like all they did was wrestle. They they had no money, no money. And then whenever a guy took them under a wing and said, Hey, train at my house, like it's
they still didn't have money. They just had facilities that they could go to and like stuff provided for them, right. You know, in in China, they take these kids when they're five years old because one lifts a heavier hay Bale than the other one and be like, that's an Olympic weight lifter. And then their whole life is school and lifting weights. It's lifting weights in school and they go.
To a facility and that's where. They live from five years old just because they decided to. Lift a heavy. Hay Bale, right? And because they're like, that has potential. We are making that into a monster. And then their whole life is that it's not money. It's I'm going to win a gold medal because my whole freaking life revolved around this, right? Leslie makes a good point. Go, go, go ahead. Yeah, thank you, Leslie said. I would say it's hard to have a family as a male athlete if you
can't provide for them. So I I would agree. And that's why I don't blame him for chasing the money to a degree. But so he's not actually the thing that we're upset about, or well, I'll say that I'm upset about. It's the fact that we are in the state we're in that that is the perception, the reason CrossFit had this cult following. In 20. 14 and it's in the region reason regionals were so big is like these people were sort of like local heroes and we knew they all had full time jobs.
We all knew that they were like normal people who just really cared about this thing. And they got to put, you know, whatever they were doing. If they're a firefighter, they got to put that down for one weekend and try to prove that they're the fittest person on the planet. And now it's turned into they're not paying me and I'm not going to go. And that's breaking the whole spirit of what CrossFit is, was, is and should be. And I think like, I think it's funny that I, I guess 7 and.
Some of you guys. Have kind of hinted about this for years that like games got too big and it's like, I guess we do have to get back to that. And he's the first person that made me realize that he's like, maybe we do have to pull the money out of the sport. It is crazy when I think about it that way, that the sport got as big as it did. It's kind of like. Grid League a little. Bit but to like an but stretched out right Grid league got huge and then just collapsed because it was too big.
I don't know if it was huge. They did a very good. Job but like marketing and stuff. They were on ESPN like. Within two years and then it's like, and then they didn't survive. Yeah. Adler's the first person who made me. Think of it, Tyler, because I feel like he's been like that from the jump. He was. He was the first one that was
vocal. Or Caroline might have been the one that was like it. We're going to make decisions based off of finances and money and what we can make because we're only going to be an athlete for so long. Speaking of Jeff Adler, Unbreakable, did you watch it? Yes. It got. It got. Taken down before you can watch it. Yeah, I would I. Honestly, spend. I was on my To Do List. I was so excited to watch it, I really was. And then I got on there and then it was taken down and said I
will watch 28 lazy day workouts. They took the Instagram post. Down too it's it's wiped but the video no longer is available due to a copyright claim. Got them LLC. Watching talking watching talking elite fitness. Definitely a different take I think than what I have. It's crazy how much they backstab. CrossFit isn't it. Or not backstab but like just kind of turn their back on it. Well, Tommy is now part of WF. P I I it's just doing the broadcast. Is it not? I almost want.
Hitler to do like a mini doc on the rise and fall of talking Elite fitness. Like, like I, I I used to listen to talking elite fitness because that was the only thing that was out there. There wasn't nothing out there. And they were doing it before I was, you know, doing stuff. Were they? Yeah, dude. Yeah. 20/19/2019 I guess I forgot that there was a. Time that Lauren wasn't a part of talking elite fitness yeah it was just no, it was just Tommy and Sean they'd have.
Ryan on every now and again for for like stats and stuff. It was during, you know, COVID times, the Greg Glassman times, like, you know, and I mean this barbell shrugged was probably still doing things. They went weird. The one dude went. Weird and that was OK so they they're out we're. Talking weakness coming about talking weakness. Yeah, Barbell. Shrugged What they they changed their direction in what, 2018-2019? Like 2017. Like they they did they like change their whole format?
And like just go off like completely off the deep end and well, it got or something like that. Yeah, so. That was actually. Crazy I met CTP 3 days. Before that happened. In in in Memphis. So he, they worked at, I can't remember what that gym was, but it was like their gym and I was down there for a concert and the whole story of me getting it, I was, I made weed brownies for. The first time. I didn't think they were going to.
Work I. Ate like half a pan because they were brownies and I drove to Memphis by myself high for seven hours. Anyway, so I go in and CT PS there and I was a huge fan of CTP at the time and I worked out with him and Alex and like something looking back now that I know CTP, he was sour and I couldn't tell what was going on and I left. I left and then like three days later, like he had been fired or let go from the company. And then they swapped and brought in all those dudes
instead of the original crew. And yeah, they pivot. And then Mike Bledsoe started to become like a hippie. Now listen to the same song. For seven hours straight. I like to ride my. Bicycle I like to ride my bicycle that was gay. So. But yeah, Mike. Bledsoe got got, he turned into a hippie. It kind of all fell apart after Chris died. Yeah, that was a bad deal. Yeah, well, back to. Talking elite fitness?
They, they, they, I It's just. Such a one. 80 I'm not even trying to bash them, but it it's kind of wild, like how just. You know you're all in. On somebody and they're OG like what I can't what I don't really understand is like they're they're they're from like before it got big you know what I mean They're before CrossFit got big they they they they, you know grew into it right. They agree with it and yeah, and. Like they.
Like their podcast was immediately huge because everybody wanted something and they're the only thing that decided to do. They're only people who decided to do something. They were great. And then I I just, I can't. Believe like how? Much They turned their back on CrossFit. It's it's wild to me how ungrateful they are. Well, I can. I can. Start having a little. Bitter when they fired the media team. I got you. But that's not you. Know what I mean? I don't. Know, but I go ahead.
Yeah, back to the copyright. Claim like we went, we went from copyright claim to talk elite fitness to barbell shrugged and now back. All right, back to the copyright claim. I. Don't. I don't, of course. Crossfit's going to protect it. They've given Buttery Bros access for years, and I don't remember all of the clips that he used in what years, but at least in recent history, since Adler's been at the games, they've been given better access
than anybody. They're buttery Bros too, that's what. That's what I'm saying. That's what you're. Saying yeah, like. They've got best access and. They have, you know, I. Guarantee they they. Have all of their footage held personally Right. Even CrossFit when they were CrossFit. I wouldn't be surprised if they have footage from 2018 games on one of their hard drives. Oh, they've had more access than any of us. More than. Anybody more than 7 and to use.
That in a competing league, whether you think it's a worthy competitor like Sean said or not, like you're using their what they gave you to promote the brand, to do a documentary on CrossFit and then you. Go and take it to a competitor. Whether? That competitor is at your same level. Below or. About like, that's not what you do. The question is did. They say that. Just chose this one because they. They feel threatened is crazy dude.
I mean, and it'd be different. If they like just took a screenshot that they and then posted it on Instagram and said WFP coming to you right like that, that'd be a lot different. I think that'd be fine, but he said, he said it takes like a whole documentary footage that you sign a deal to. No, no, no. I mean, I think they're well within the right of the LSD. I wish they would just like snap a picture of, you know, doesn't matter, somebody else's picture.
It doesn't doesn't matter. And then and just say WFP coming to you like that would be fine. I'd be fine with that. What is crazy is like. Could you imagine how weak it would be if CrossFit didn't take it down and it, you know, there, there are those if they don't, then they're just going to do that 20. 47 like like right and. There are those who are white knight and about oh, then CrossFit needs to take down
everything. I'm like, no, not that promotes their brand and isn't a direct, it's not a I'll say direct threat because they're the only competitor now that matters. They're the only competitor that's really ever existed, right? They would play pretty tough with Grid. But grid was also they didn't use any of their no, they had all their own shit. Can we come up with a different term than like? White knight. I want to. I don't feel like that does it justice.
Like let's do like a purple peasant. That doesn't do it justice. Either I think that doesn't perfect justice for. What you're doing? You're purple, peasantine. But I thought, I thought it was. Funny because people didn't even. Understand why they filed a claim like so many people in the comments of Hiller's post were like you wanted. Them to say CrossFit. They're not they're avoiding saying CrossFit. They finally say CrossFit and you guys get mad and it's like, it's not about that.
That's not that's not why. First of all, I don't think that's why they said it or or filed a claim, but there's there's a difference between saying that you compete at the. CrossFit Games and. Saying in using footage that you were allowed to use or allowed to capture somewhat on behalf of CrossFit, like yes. In conjunction with. CrossFit for sure. And it's like, do you think that they didn't see this coming? That's what's wild to me.
There's no way I would have released like we've talked about stuff like this in the in, in the background on like anything that we produce or stuff like that. It's like, hey, you know, should we take this out? Should we not do this? Should we do this? Because we have to think. You have to think about these things and the implications that they have.
It is wild to me that they put it out and weren't and didn't have AB copy ready to go. I don't think they thought about it. I thought there was just. Like, well, we've, we've captured it, we own it. We, this is what we do. We do it. We put the, I mean, think about it though, like they've if you're, if you are Marson Heber and whoever did the editing, you've done this over. And over again for. All of your documentaries about a CrossFit Games athlete, but
there's a difference. When you cross that. Line to a You're making this for another competitor. Another outlet. Another thing entity right like buttery Bros can't give that footage to whoever they couldn't give it to go wad and go. Wad can't or go was probably not a good example, but Podium who's never sponsored the games, they couldn't give their footage of what they captured. The CrossFit games give it the Podium if Podium makes a commercial out of it. Especially if Podium is
freaking. Affiliating gyms to say we're podium fitness, which that's crazy too if you didn't watch. Sivan said that World Fitness Project is now approaching gyms. I don't know if CrossFit gyms, gyms that are unaffiliated to become a World Fitness Project affiliate, but it's just another opportunity. It's not. It's not trying to conflict with CrossFit in any way. I heard Sivan talk about that. I'm like, I don't. Understand that I agree. Craig Craig's on it with the
comments. Today. I. Don't you know it's funny, I was thinking about. Saying you and you were going you. You can say it with each other. Your your purple. Well, I was thinking, what's the opposite of white? Knight and I first thought of black peasant and I'm like, that's not that's not you can't do that one that's. Not going to be good and then I just. John Young Solving problems. Because I was. Thinking what's the opposite of
white knight? And then no, no, so I just I probably shouldn't have said that out loud. I think you're confusing. All right, so. If you if you did not watch Sivan before you came here, what Sivan has said is apparently World Fitness Project is approaching gyms to become world WFP affiliates. I had never heard this before, said $2000 to become a World Fitness Project affiliate. I have no idea what that even. Means like what? What are you getting from a
sport to be an affiliate? What has the WFP? Done for the. Affiliate What is the affiliate done for the WFP? What the question is, what will they do for the? Affiliate. What are you affiliating? Yeah. What are you? Yeah. What does the? Affiliation consist of naming rights. You get a. 4% discount to all WFP apparel. I should should have signed. Up before I got my shirt Yeah, I I heard that I was like that. I don't understand it. OK champion, did you watch the
WFP podcast today? Yes, Hey, remember when? Oh, was it Pat that said he was proud? He was happy to be around an organization that could keep secrets? Remember that? Man, You guys are great at keeping secrets. Jackasses. Yeah, it's gotten out fast. So this is the first deck. What? What's what's funny about that to me is it is a literal declaration of war. You've now you're no longer in this Gray zone of like, oh, we're just kind of I think they
declared war whenever their. Their first thing was in the middle of semi finals. No, that's still kind of like that, was the. First shot, that was definitely. The first shot, yeah, that's the first, like. Misfire, misfire. Sorry. That's when Hitler. When Hitler was like I'm. Going to take over Poland and they're like don't do it. I think I'm. Going to do it they're. Like don't do it. And then and then this is this is them taking over Poland. Oh, I also took over France.
Whoops, yeah. And then this to me. It they couldn't. Keep this a secret and it's the first declaration of war and it got leaked and they'll say, no, this is in the declaration of war. You're literally entering the game of the only competitor. You're literally duplicating their competition. You're you're, you're trying to do everything they're doing and. They're not going to be able to control it. Now it's out right and I, I. Like and if.
You're going to if you're going to make this direct. Action. You have to come on heavy and now you're playing. It makes you look really bad. I don't know why. They lie about it though. I. Like I would rather than, that's my thing, honest about it and be like, and like, you know, honestly and honestly, I, I think you could be, I think you could say, yeah, like we are kind of doing what Crossfit's doing, but we want to do it in our own way.
And I mean, if, and we're going to offer stuff to athletes, we're going to offer stuff to people. If CrossFit is better than that, then they then they're better. But we want to, we want to try to do something a little bit different. But it's still, it's still CrossFit. Would you not be allowed to do that? Would you be allowed to do that? Spin or no? Do what? Just call. It CrossFit or or? No, no, like it's just. Fitness racing, we're doing
this. Fitness racing thing, right, but but say yeah, we're in competition, we're going to try to do it better. Spin what? What point? Was were you going to make? I'd have more respect for them if they did that. I guess to. Me. I guess I think about it like again, like it makes no. Sense from an. Like a gym ownership perspective. Like, I don't, maybe they come out with something that I'm not thinking about, but from a gym owner's perspective, the sport doesn't add value to my gym.
But what does it provide? For the WFP money money to. Cover the massive amount. Of cost and it it looks. Like the exact same. Framework of what CrossFit is right like the sport side loses money, the affiliate side subsidizes it to some degree The problem is And now you have the. Exact same thing that's. Happening at WFP is we've already gone through like it's going to cost millions of dollars a year to run this thing. I think we said 6 for the 1st. Year.
That's yeah. And So what if you get affiliates to then you're not giving them anything like they're you're not giving them credentials. You can't stand up a a credential process. You can't stand up education process. In a matter of months, you could say you're a world fitness project, Jim. Isn't it funny?
That the same people and I think it's a lot of the people who are now on the WFPWFP athletes have said oh we need to divorce the sport from the community in the in the methodology are now creative the same thing. They're the same thing. Yeah, I just. I just don't get the the. Thing like. We're we're for the athlete, you know, this is this. Is a league. For the athletes, it's not for the community, it's for the athletes. And so your gym is for the athletes. Like like like that's support
them. That doesn't ride with the affiliate like it doesn't. It just doesn't. It doesn't. Well, what they'll try to do, John, is. They'll try to, they'll try to say, OK, under our affiliate, you're going to get this support with this, you know, this back end already exists. You're going to get this media support. OK, CrossFit could do a better job with that. But they'll they'll try to do something like that.
They'll try to do, you know, they'll just try to they'll try to create a bunch of services that they don't have anybody who has expertise in and they'll try to give these to those gyms and they'll try to create buy in in that way. All the that what they'll say is they'll find all the problems that people have spouted off all the entitlements that people want to run their gym from CrossFit. And they'll be like, we can do that for you. And it's like those services already exist.
You're just going to do them under one roof or try. They won't. And then people are going to DE. Affiliate in three. Years or one year? When you realize that. What did you get other than a some swag? I just don't Yeah, I that was that blew my mind. And like the first thing that led me to is WFP needs money. That's a. Pretty fast way to make money. If you can get us, if you can
get affiliate gyms to to join. It's always there's only. 72 VIP tickets, actually there's 55 less, 17 have been purchased so they're going fast just in. Case you've been keeping track. And spend vodka I think I'm going to get. One of them. I I think I'm. Except once giving me one. There you go, you get wined and dined. Thanks, Sarah. There you go. And. Show your one year of salary. You just wait. Vindicate you just. I'm sure it's in the mail.
I guarantee I'll be getting something here soon. Yeah, guaranteed. Would not be surprised. All right, it's been almost 2 1/2 hours. We are running late but 634 people watching 2 hours and 2 1/2 hours in so. That's all I got. Do you have anything else? Backgrounds are gone. Everything's shutting down. Trying to think George Sterner's at Mayhem. Mayhem Classic. That's cool, that is cool. Go order some a. Homegrown relief CBD. John's a salesman, Yeah. Go do it, man. All right, I'm.
Yeah, and if you do, I don't even know how they, you know, why don't you order some and then DM them and say I came here because of JY. That's a lot of work for you in the in your. Address, put your normal address in like the second line that nobody uses, but like, thanks to John Young. Yeah, yeah, do that. Courtesy of John. Young. Yeah. Yeah, I. I might have a distance. Discount code. I just don't know it. I tell you what, go ahead and
try. Try try JY 10 and if that doesn't work then I don't have one. It needs to be JY 23. Oh, for 23%? Off OH. That's that's a big deal, though. I don't know if that's your number, JY 100. No, I know, I know. I love. That I love that. If if I don't I'm going to try to get one soon or just JY 23 save. 10% yeah. Try JY. 10 That's what I would. Have put it in at. OK, there you go.
