7-Point Plot Structure – Plot Theory

• Pick a book similar to yours
• Find the summary and analysis of the book similar to yours on Google
• Go line by line of the summary and analysis and change the words to make it yours
• The summary tells what’s happening; the analysis tells why it’s happening
• Go to ChatGPT and type “Can you please analyze my summary which I am labeling as 1? Can you also analyze my analysis which I have labeled 2?”
• “After analyzing my summary as 1 and my analysis as 2, I want you to write me a creative detailed plot structure following the 7-point plot structure, which I have labeled 3.”
• “Great. Can you analyze my 7-point plot structure, brainstorm the hook only, and write me a compelling opening chapter based off the hook. Upon completion, list all the things you have done. We will write this chapter in sections as not to run out of space.”
• “Thank you. Can you give me the next section please?”
• Ask ChatGPT to give your other chapters and what you want included in them
• You’re not looking for “an” answer; you’re looking for “the” answer
