In this two part series, I go over the Top 5 mistakes network marketers make on social media.

Part 1 primarily discusses our misconceptions of marketing.
- marketing is sales
- marketing is advertising
- social media is the avenue to broadcast

While all those things aren’t inaccurate, social media requires much more nuance in how you present your “marketing”.

1. You can’t always sell.  You’re not the company. You’re a person. People want to see you humanity, not a commercial for products you’re hoping to profit from

2. Marketing, especially social media marketing, is more than just advertising.  Copying and pasting corporate assets and copy from their website isn’t what your audience wants to see from you

3. Social media isn’t broadcast advertising. You have to give your audience something to connect to — namely your story
