Redefining Growth and Learning
Episode description
We’ve talked about the iterative process when it comes to growth and learning. I believe it’s a topic and principle worth revisiting periodically as a reminder not to get stuck in the safety of a learning space.
Growth won’t happen with just acquiring knowledge. You have to include action, you have to actually DO if you want to increase your capacity and capability.
If you want to expand and create new outcomes in your life, the best and most efficient course to take is the “figure it out as you go” approach. Learning in the doing is much more effective and the shorter and quicker path to reaching your goals.
And even though things can often not go as you had intended, action at the very least gives you data and feedback with which you can adjust moving forward. You can’t after all course correct a vehicle that isn’t moving.
So iterate. Add one new thing to your roster every time you have a launch, or teach a course, or create a piece of content. Before you know it, you’ll find yourself with a high level of proficiency and perhaps even a sought out expert and authority in your field.
