How you do one thing is how you do everything. It does you no good to half-ass anything, even the things that you may not be excited and enthusiastic but have to do anyway.

I’ve heard it said that employees work only just enough to not get fired and employers only pay just enough to people not to quit.  That’s a pretty sad state if you ask me.

Whether I’m making $1,000 an hour or volunteering my time, I always make certain that I’m giving my best because I know that the mindset I wish to continue to cultivate in myself, a mindset of excellence.

I used to work as a minimum wage movie theater usher as I built my network marketing business.  Despite the below poverty-level wage, I made sure to do my job to the best of my ability which often meant going far beyond my title and job description.

Doing this conditioned me to show up this way in everything else I did because if I could be my best self in thankless, low paying, nearly no reward situations, then I could really excel in working at the things I’m passionate about.

So show up and go above and beyond.
