Are You Going All Out or Are You Half-Assing It?
Episode description
“Going all out” and “going all in” are phrases we hear a lot in peak performance. Whether it’s about business, or health, or relationships, there’s a constant call to making full commitments to the thing you want to achieve.
After all, you can’t realistically expect positive and lasting change to come from half-assed effort.
Then why is it that I see so many people this time of year declare the changes they want to make but then never actually see those things through?
One simple answer: FEAR
Going all out opens is up to being vulnerable fully commuting comes with the risk of judgment, the risk of things not working out, the risk of getting something “wrong”
And so even though we have a strong desire for change, we only take hesitant steps to get there, we don’t fully commit because of these (and many other) fears.
It’s ok. You’ll be judged, you’ll get things “wrong”, things will not always workout REGARDLESS of whether you go full out or you half-ass your effort
