Abiding As a Disciple

In this week's episode, Tony and Justin talk about what it means to stay in the truth when we follow Jesus! 

The branch doesn’t exist for itself, but to bear fruit for the vine.

John 15:1, “I am the true vine, and my father is the gardener.”

John 15:5, “I am the vine you are the branches if a man remains in me and I in him he will bear much fruit, apart from me you can do nothing.” 

Essentials for Abiding - (Disciplines)

1. Scripture Meditation/reflection
2. Prayer
3. The Church/Community/Fellowship

Takeaway: As a disciple our first task is to abide.

Action Step: Assess and look to improve one of your Abiding Essentials.
