This episode covers all the things that “got us here”. We speak with Dr Donald Fridley, a highly trained Robotic general and bariatric surgeon. He is the proud Owner of Surgical Associates of Bayonet Point, located in Hudson, Florida.  He shares with us the sorts of bariatric surgeries that are available to patients. He also shares with us the need to address the mental health aspect of obesity and re-framing the coping mechanisms that created the state in which many of us would need surgery or GLP1 therapies. He helps explain why re-gain occurs after surgery, and the delicate touch needed in addressing it with patients.

We were also treated to two of the three members of the Weighting Table Podcast. They shared their powerful stories and insight. We learned so much from our doctor and podcast guests, and discussed the importance of mental health and perspective needed for our journey.
