131. Fail better
Episode description
I have a black belt in failing. I'm SO good at failing because I've done it dozens of times. Partly because I set big goals and have high standards, and partly because failure is part of life.
When you're NOT good at failing, you avoid situations where failure is a possibility. You play small and you don't even try.
Failing is not a problem. The actual problem is what we make the failures mean and what we do afterwards.
In this episode I share the mistakes people make when they fail (unhealing self-soothing, identifying with the failures, reacting to the emotions of failure by creating MORE "fails") and the 3 steps to failing better so you can learn and grow from every single one.
When you learn to fail better you become stronger and smarter. Your life becomes more meaningful, interesting, and exciting. The more willing you are to fail, the closer you get to achievement. Success is build upon a big pile of failures so fail big, fail often and fail better.
The most fun way to fail is in a group of like-minded humans who are also going after their goals. Early enrolment for the Pleasure Project Program is October 13-15. We fail together, we win together, but most importantly, we grow together. We not only learn from our own failures, but because we’re in a group, we learn from each other’s failures which makes the learning exponential. Click here for details.
