Gulnara Samoilova

On today’s podcast I speak with photographer Gulnara Samoilova. Gulnara is a photographer based in NYC having studied photography at ICP in Manhattan. In this interview I speak to Gulnara about growing up in Russia, how she discovered photography , as well as her approach to street photography. I also speak to Gulnara about her newly published book titled “Women Street Photographers” which showcases women street photographers from around the world ranging from veteran photographers as well as new and emerging talent. I also speak to Gulnara about a personal project titles “Lost Family” where she hand paints B&W photographs of her family in Russia. Gulnara has exhibited her work in galleries across the world and has curated shows as well.
