Hey all!
Welcome back to Season 3 of the PodCast.
This Season kicks off a year long, 10 Year Anniversary, and Celebration, of A Song, A City.
In this Conversation, Danny sits down with Carole Wanjira of Nairobi, Kenya.
She talks about being an athlete, in and competing in both Wheelchair Basketball & Racing.
Carol shares some of her favourite things about being an athlete, and references things like building things like trust & confidence through Sport.
She dreams about seeing more young people across our Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Community in Sport, and talks about the role that sports can play in creating greater independence.
In this conversation, Carol also talks about the importance of her family, and how her Grandma has been such a force in shaping the strong, resilient athlete, and person, that Carol is today.
She also talks about some of the local challenges around accessibility & some of the ways that she is continuing to raise her voice to address them.
Carol, you're the best!
:)
Thank you so, so much for all that you do, and for being so resilient in the pursuit of being your best self, while empowering the voices, and abilities, of young people.
Our SB&H Community, locally & globally, is lucky to have you.
❤️
:)
