Today's episode of The MindShift Podcast is a special one as we are heading to the finish of the fourth quarter of the year.

Where are you? If you've crushed it this year, congratulations. You are awesome. But listen, don't take your foot off the gas. Don't hit cruise control right now because that is what your competitors are doing. If you haven't reached your goals yet, you know what you need right now, momentum. Think about what Zig Ziglar said; it's how you finish.

I decided to reach out to some of my entrepreneur and leadership friends and ask them if they would also share one big tip in under one minute to help you finish this year's straw. And they, of course, agreed.

So here's my clip from 2013, followed by some incredible insights from some absolutely amazing entrepreneurs and leadership friends of mine. To help you finish this year strong, I guarantee you this; you will get at least one tangible practical action item to take away and finish this year strong and or build momentum into the following year.

Highlights include:

  • Put 'em up with Darrell Evans (2:27)
  • Stop waiting with Daniel Mangena (4:31)

Darrell Evans

Zig Ziglar used to say it's not how you start. It's how you finish that counts. Hey, my friend. This is Darrell Evans, and welcome to a special episode of the mind shift podcast right now. We're in the fourth quarter of the year, it's time to check in on your goals before this year is out. Where are you at? If you've crushed it this year, congratulations. You are awesome. But listen, don't take your foot off the gas. Don't hit cruise control right now because that is what your

competitors are doing. If you haven't reached your goals yet, you know what you need right now, momentum. Think about what Zig said it's how you finish. I was thinking about this topic the other day and remembered a clip that I recorded back in 2013. It's just like two minutes long. I listened to it. And I actually got the chills, it was actually kind of weird. I decided to share it with my email subscribers who are on my email list at mind shift

community.com. And the incredible Dave Knoll, who is the creator of the chop TV series on the Food Network, who was also a guest. On episode 61 of the show. He wrote me back and said, Hey, dude, everyone needs to hear this. So I decided to share that clip with you

today. But I was thinking, because I really appreciate you being a listener to the mind shift podcast, I decided to reach out to some of my entrepreneur and leadership friends and ask them if they would also share with you one big tip in under one minute to help you finish this year straw. And they of course, agreed. So here's my clip from 2013, followed by some incredible insights from some absolutely amazing entrepreneurs, and

leadership friends of mine. To help you finish this year strong, I guarantee you this, you will get at least one tangible practical action item to take away and finish this year strong and or build momentum into the next year. When you do tag me on Instagram @MrDarrellEvans, and tell me what it was. And also do a friend a favor, share the episode with a friend who has big goals and also wants to finish this year strong.

Have you ever watched a football game a basketball game, a boxing match, even a baseball game and we're down to the eighth and ninth inning. And one team is dominating the other team. One team is getting their butt handed to them. They're just down, they get kicked in the face from the beginning of the first quarter, all the way through the third quarter. Then the third quarter comes to an end. The whistle blows the clock sounds, the closer gets ready to

come in the game. And next thing you know, you get this feeling that something is about to change. When I was young, we grew up playing football. And even when I moved on into coaching, we were always taught that when the fourth quarter came around, we had a symbol we have an emblem that reminded us that the game was not over, we would raise our hand high in the air, put four fingers in the sky and everybody on the sideline would say put him up, put him

up, put him up. And we would be reminded that the game was not over. I watched a boxing match about four or five months ago, Manny Pacquiao got clocked. In the very last part of that fight, he lost the fight. We've watched it time and time again in football in basketball. I can think some years ago when the Lakers were down 28 points came back and won in the fourth quarter. I know you can relate

to this example. What I'm here to tell you is right now we're in the fourth quarter of the year, we just started the end of the year, it's October 1 2013. You may not have gotten where you want it to be physically, you may not be where you want to be financially, you may not be where you want to be in your career, you may not be where you want to be in your relationship. What I'm here to tell you is put them up, put them up, put them up, and let's get ready to dig in for the fourth quarter.

There's still time left to produce results. You can make a comeback. If you dig in. Now is the time to show why you've been doing what you've been doing. Look, if you've been practicing and practicing and practicing. This is the time to turn it all around.

Daniel Mangena

Hello, I'm Daniel Indiana CEO over a Dream with Dan. We support people in making abundance easy coming to a connection to the abundance that is their birthright. My strategy for finishing strong this year is simply this stop waiting for the end of the year to get strong treat each day

like it's new. And you'll have a momentum, a level of energy, a level of productivity, a level of performance and a level of achievement that will be strong all If this resonates with you and you'd like to learn more about how you can claim your abundant birthright, feel free to head over to dreamwithdan.com. We've got loads of free resources and ways to connect there.

Mike Rodriguez

Hey, what's up everybody, Mike Rodriguez, Evergreen Home Loans. I'm a loan officer here in Las Vegas, Nevada. And I wanted to share with you our one strategy to finish the year strong. One of my very first coach, he said, If you want to have clients for right, you need to talk to your clients during their life. So as we wind down 2021, our primary focus is going to be reconnecting with our database checking in to make sure

everybody is doing well. They're ready for the holiday season, but more importantly, that they know that we're thinking about them, and that we are for them. So for you guys, what I would ultimately implore you guys to do is take action. Make sure you're getting in front of your clients, your prospects, your sphere of influence, make sure they know you are in business, and you are ready to help them. If you'd like to find us. You can reach us online at the Rodriguez team on the Facebook

page. I look forward to catching up with you talk to you soon. Bye.

Lois St. Germaine

Hi, my name is Lois St. Germain. I'm a certified success coach who helps high achieving professional women transition from their corporate roles to entrepreneurship without giving up their day job. My best strategy for finishing 2021 Strong is don't move the goal line. About this time every year, we begin to doubt our ability to hit the big goals that we set in January. And instead of doubling down, we tend to change the goal either in time or in value. This is the

worst thing that you can do. The real point of a goal isn't the prize at the end, it's the person you need to become in order to obtain it. When you move the goal line you robbed yourself of that group. So I'm here to implore you to play hard all the way through 2021. If you enjoyed this tip, you can connect with me on Instagram @mystilettosuccess.

Marvon Williams

Hello, my Marvon Williams, co-owner of the Insurance Gurus a Risk Management Company. My role is to empower and educate our clients on the potential their insurance risk. The goal of my company is to provide exceptional insurance coverage at a competitive rate. My best tip for finishing the year strong is to be intentional with a laser focus. I find if the focus is dialed in, the distractions disappear. So for me if there's still time on the year 2021 clock, my goals are

within reach. If you enjoy this tip, connect with me at www.theinsurancegurus.com Thank you.

Dennis Morrison

Hi, my name is Dennis Morrison. And I train and guide career changes how to become a business storytelling service provider attract their ideal clients and create the business and life that they desire. So my strategy for finishing the year strong is to start planning for January right now. Where do you want to be in 12 months time? And what do you need to do to make this a reality? Is it new skills, a different strategy, pivoting or doing more of what's working?

It's so easy to slow down a bit as the year comes to the end. However, now is the perfect time to build up your momentum to start the new year in third or fourth gear rather than second or even worse. First, bring the future into the present by making plans and taking action today. If you enjoyed this tip, connect with me at audiencemagnet.com

Christine McCarron

Greetings MindShift Podcast fans. I'm Chris McCarran a realtor in Boston who helps women who want to be real estate investors to buy their first property. My tip for finishing 2021 Strong is to find one time consuming task that someone else could do for you with proper training, and delegate it. For me, I'm getting a VA for my email. If you enjoyed this tip, check me out at Bostonreguru.com.

Anthony Faso

My name is Anthony Faso and I'm a recovering CPA and founder of Infinite Wealth Consultants, where we teach you how to achieve financial freedom by creating enough passive income or it's more than your monthly expenses. And if you want to kill it before the end of the year, I recommend you take advantage of the 8020 rule, which states 80% of your results is from only 20% of your activity, which means 80% of what you're doing is only

producing 20% of the results. So stop doing that 80% Just focus your time on those high value activities. And that will allow you to achieve your goals before the end of the year. If you want to contact with me and go to InfiniteWealthconsultants.com Go make it a fantastic day.

J. Haleem Washington

What's up y'all? It's your boy J Haleem Washington. I'm so happy to be here to have this opportunity to talk to you. Hey, listen, this is the fourth quarter, you guys, the fourth quarter. I know you guys have probably heard that the fourth quarter is where champions are made is where Legends are Made in the fourth quarter, and you're no different. Only way that we can do this though if we work on perfecting our practice. perfecting our practice, I heard plenty of times of growing up.

Practice Makes Perfect practice makes perfect when they were lying. Because you have to say, perfect practice makes perfect. We spent a lot of time practicing how to do it wrong, we don't get perfect at doing it wrong. So we want to perfect our practice, we want to make sure we take our practice extremely serious and get better so we can take a smooth sail going into 2022 Going into 2020 to perfect your practice. Again J Haleem Washington. My website www.Jhaleem.com. Thanks,

Logan Brown

Hey everyone. This is Logan Brown from Startup

Jo Richardson

Hi, my name is Jo Richardson. I'm an HR director NV. At Startup NV we connect the database founders, ent epreneurs and startups to cap tal and resources. And my num er one tip for finishing the yea out strong is to prioritize and execute. Many of you lis ening have a ton of projects tha you let fall by the way ide, now's the time to fig re out which ones are the pri rity, and execute the action ite s on those things so you guy can figure out the year and fin

sh out strong. This is Logan Bro n from Startup NV, you can find s at startupny.org. Have a wonde ful day and take care. in the finance sector and author of Ignite. I've spent over 20 years as HR professional coaching and mentoring women in business and supporting small business owners to overcome personal and professional challenges. I'm passionate about helping others grow. And we'd like to share my thoughts with you. My top tip for closing the year effectively is to see the

world beyond timelines. You can make changes, build new habits and break old habits at any time. You can start afresh at any point in your career, personal life working week, or even today. Don't delay and wait for tomorrow, next month or next year. The time is now the sooner you start you will be on your journey. And your future self will thank you for taking the plunge. If you enjoyed this tip, connect with me, at JoeRichardson.org.

Deevo Tindall

I don't know if this adds any intrinsic value, but it certainly adds some subjective value for me. I like to rearrange and reorganize my office every year towards the end of the year. So that when I walk into it the next morning, it sort of has a fresh, remodeled, invigorating novel feel to it. And it might be adding new plants, it might be adding new curtains it might be moving your death to a different direction, etc. But I do something that cleans up my

office. And then it just enables me to have a little piece of something new. And the other piece I would add to is we create a word of the year every year. And as a team, we review our words with each other, and how are we doing to sort of live objectively towards that word. So those are my two tips. Thanks for the opportunity to record this for you and I look forward to connecting with you my friend.

Michael Buckworth

Hi, my name is Michael Buckworth. I'm a solicitor, founder of boquist a law firm working exclusively with startups. And the author of the book built on rock, built on rock aims to help founders identify and resolve the key legal and commercial risks their businesses will face as they start out on their entrepreneurial journey. My top tip to make 2021 finished strong is to be brave and step outside your comfort zone. The past two years have been tough for all of

us. And the headlines in the papers are pretty terrifying. Now may not seem like a good time to take a race and start a new business. But I say no, now is the time for bravery. The world is changing. And there are fantastic opportunities out there for people who are prepared to take the risk. If you enjoyed this tip, and you want to give a startup ago, you can buy my book built on rock by Michael Buckworth from the 23rd of November 2021, and all good bookstores and online at Amazon.

Dallas Henry

Hi, folks. My name is Dallas Henry. I'm a career coach who helps early and mid career managers unlock the power of their teams. Here we are in the throes of q4. We can see the holiday season finish line. We've got to finish strong. But how you ask. Here's my number one tip, keep the main thing the main thing. We've all had scope creep, we've all had additional projects added even had new clients come on board since we scoped those annual goals. That's a great thing. embrace

that. But those things can also cause noise. Do this for me. Fast forward to February 15. Sitting there relaxing if you're about to go hit the slopes. Have a great day. But I want you to look back and tell me that one thing you're so proud that you accomplished in q4. That that's the thing I want you to focus on your answer are where you should focus your energy is that one thing you want to be proud about in February 15. Do your future 2022 self a favor and keep the

main thing the main thing? Hope this helps, you can find over at Henryengagements.com Thanks.

Eloise Skinner

Hi, my name is Eloise Skinner, and I am an entrepreneur and author. And I help students figure out what their first career steps might be. And my tip for finishing the year strong is to figure out just one thing that you want to achieve. So one main goal, and make it really specific and detailed and figure out exactly how you're going to get to that goal. Make sure it's achievable, and something that you can do within the time that you have and something that you're

interested in as well. So something you're passionate about, and just wrote it down somewhere so that by the end of the year when you do achieve that thing, you can look back on your notes and reflect on how far you've come. And if you enjoyed that, please come and find me on my website at EloiseSkinner.com

Rob Te Braake

Hi, my name is Rob Te Braake. I am the founder of Inside Matters. We help seven figure online businesses get value from their financial numbers. My number one tip to close yet yours strong is to prioritize cashflow. So that means to chase your receivables. But more importantly, give your customers an incentive to prepay that your 2022 revenue. Because their money in the bank now gives you the ammunition that you can invest in growth and make an even better year next

year. If you like this tip, connect with me at connectrob.com

Becky Hall

Hi there. My name is Becky Hall. I'm a leadership and life coach and author who helps busy people the world over to stop striving and start thriving by finding the art of enough in their lives. My best strategy for finishing strong is to find an enough mindset where you move your focus from what you lack and towards what you have to offer. With this mindset. Decide what you want to say yes to for the last months of 2021 and say no to anything else that gets in

the way. Protect your time for the stuff that matters most to you. If you enjoyed this tip connect with me on Instagram @BeckyHallareofenough. And you know what? You've got this because you are enough. Bye for now.
