People often look for the perfect diet, the perfect exercise plan or want to just be given the steps for weight loss. In reality, these can all work or not work, but one thing that must happen for permanent weight loss is accepting yourself and coming from a place of self-love. When find emotions too painful to look at, we deny them. Denial doesn't get rid of the emotions, but we often turn to food to help "numb" out what we do not want to feel.
When we are overly critical of ourselves, our bodies and come from a place of self-loathing - we want to hate ourselves thin as a way to be motivated. Our bodies, our results will always reflect how we feel on the inside whether we are living in negativity or denying it exists.
