Speaker 1

You know what's always fun when the dictionary adds new words?

Speaker 2

Great, it's always fun.

Speaker 1

Well, Merriam Webster's Dictionary just added a bunch of new words. Then, aren't words as much as entire phrases or acronyms? And I'm pretty sure at some point they're just going to start adding emoji's. Yeah, but what words has the dictionary added that will make you go? Oh, So that's why the rest of the world thinks Americans are mouth breathing Bubba Gump, sure beating buffoons. We'll tell you right after this. It's the Doebile Show. Get ready to sound super duper smarter. Nice.

It's the Doeble Show, and the Merriam Webster's Dictionary just added a bunch of new words, and it, as usual, it has people going, why do we even have dictionaries anymore?

Speaker 2

A job there.

Speaker 1

We'll go over them right now so you can make sure your vau vocabulary is more better than it was before you listened. So, what are the new words you need to know that are in the Merriam Webster's Dictionary?

Speaker 2

Street corn? What? What that already existed?

Speaker 1

Grilled corn on the cob that's coated with a creamy spread.

Speaker 2

It's so good.

Speaker 1

A dictionary. It's not hyphenated. That's two words, right. I feel like this existed. I'm so confused in the dictionary. Street was there?

Speaker 2

Corn was there? Street corn tells you what it is.

Speaker 1

Yeah, you can put those words together, and then they make a thing a new word.

Speaker 3

Just in case, let's add it at its own words so people know.

Speaker 2

I'm gonna be honest.

Speaker 4

Corn is also used for another thing on the Internet, and I thought maybe that they were dumping into that.

Speaker 2

Well, what is it?

Speaker 4

What if you swap out to sea in corn for a different letter that comes after Oh oh, and that's how they say it on the internet, and you call corn emoji so you can.

Speaker 1

Say that so that the algorithm doesn't throttle your host.

Speaker 4

Yes, and I was thinking streetcorn might be a new category.

Speaker 1

Wow, why do you know that I'm on the internet. Snog is another word that's been added to the dictionary.

Speaker 2

That's not a word.

Speaker 1

Do you know what snog means? Nina, no proud? Make them out to British for making out?

Speaker 2

Yes, yeah, you gotta right, Okay, you want to.

Speaker 1

Go in the back alley and snog real quick? It's not a good word yeah last.

Speaker 5

Night that I snogged him last night.

Speaker 1

The top new words that have been added to the Merriam Webster's Dictionary dungeon crawler. What did I know what a dungeon crawler is?

Speaker 2

Victoria? It sounds like it's a video game, like Dungeons and Dragons. It's somebody that lives with their parents in the basement. Oh, it like plays video games.

Speaker 1

A video game that's primarily focused on defeating enemies in a dungeon like environment. But also, yes, okay, you guys, I see where you're going with that.

Speaker 2

Before we get blown up.

Speaker 4

Dungeons and Dragons is not a video game, and Victoria totally knew that, and you shouldn't be mad at her and stay out of her dms about it.

Speaker 2

Dang, it's a card game. Also, Oh, actually, it's actually.

Speaker 6

A dice game. It's a whole thing anyway. It's a lifestyle f YP has been added to the merriamware Western Dictionary.

Speaker 2

For You page. I guess that makes sense.

Speaker 1

This social media feed with personalized content based on your interests.

Speaker 2

I just feel like there should be a whole dictionary that's just for the abbreviations, like what do you call it when you just use the letters abbreviations thank you, thank you, kind of like having that nick share.

Speaker 3

Because someone doesn't know, they can just go look it up, but you also just go google it and google it tell you.

Speaker 1

Also, the Merriam Westerns Dictionary has also added beach read again.

Speaker 2

But anyway, this is just something either.

Speaker 1

Yeah, beach and read two words, is not one word on the dictionary. It is a usually light work of escapist fiction. Okay, so it's a beach read. Oh but you don't have to be on the beach to read it.

Speaker 2

No, wait, it's like an easy read.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I'm reading this.

Speaker 2

Book right now.

Speaker 1

It's a total bee tread. But that's kind of how you're saying it.

Speaker 4

Subscribe, but I'll talk to you next week for another beach read for you, exactly the whole lifestyle thing.

Speaker 1

Neo baby again, Oh yeah, not hyphenated. Two words added to the dictionary. The person who gains opportunities through family connections.

Speaker 5

Right.

Speaker 1

That one has been big.

Speaker 2

On the internet, Like nepo is short for nepotism.

Speaker 3

Yes, no, I'm just saying neo baby kind of just like just goes into one.

Speaker 4

Except these are adults and so it's weird to put this word in there because nepotism already covers this.

Speaker 1

Yes, it does. Actually that you can just say what it means. There's a lot of nepotism going on there.

Speaker 2

Yeah, that's so funny. But if you're an epo baby, I think you just want your own word.

Speaker 6

Yeah, right, because you had everything else hand to exactly.

Speaker 1

I don't want to be lumped in with all of the other nepotismists out there.

Speaker 2

My own word.

Speaker 1

I'm different and special and touch grass's added to the dictionary again. Two words, two words. He has no hyphen there, it's just two words.

Speaker 2

Okay. So does our social media producer Gabby used this correctly because she'll tell people off and just say touch grass. Yeah, she does. She does use it correctly.

Speaker 1

I think she uses it more as like a calm down, go calm down, go touch grass.

Speaker 2

Yeah.

Speaker 1

The way that they define it in the dictionary is to participate in normal activities in the real world.

Speaker 4

Okay, so yeah, I like it better as a calm down and or this isn't that serious?

Speaker 7

Yeah.

Speaker 1

If you follow the Jubil Show on social media and if somebody's trolling and then you see the Jubil show respond with you should go touch some grass for a while. That's Gabby being like, calm down.

Speaker 2

It's another Jubile phone frame Today Mornings on the Twenties. Hello, Hi is this Isaac?

Speaker 8

Yeah?

Speaker 1

Yeah, Isaac, Hi Isaac. Nice to meet you. It's a pleasure.

Speaker 8

I'm sorry. Who is this?

Speaker 2

Oh? I'm sorry?

Speaker 1

I forgot to introduce myself, didn't I sometimes i'll do that. I'm one of your neighbors and you just moved into the neighborhood. My name is Juniper Ravensbrook.

Speaker 2

How are you.

Speaker 9

I'm good?

Speaker 8

What is this call oppertaining?

Speaker 7

Too?

Speaker 1

Well? I just wanted to welcome you to the neighborhood because I saw you move in and I have noticed you taking your evening runs by my house. So you're a fast one.

Speaker 2

Yeah, it'd be.

Speaker 1

Hard to catch if someone were trying to me. Oh nothing, I just said you're a fast runner. So if someone were trying to, you know, run after you to chase you down or something, you'd probably get away pretty easy.

Speaker 9

Yeah.

Speaker 8

Okay, Well listen, I'm getting ready for my day.

Speaker 1

Great good, And you know what, it's the cool that you're getting ready for your day. That's nice. Because I always say we need to live every day like it's our last. Anyway, I'm just calling you because I wanted to go over a few things for Halloween. Because it's Halloween month, it's scary time, it's my favorite time of year, and we all get into it in the neighborhood and I'm sort of the Halloween welcoming committee.

Speaker 9

I guess you could say, okay, well, if we could expedite it a little bit, I got a.

Speaker 2

Lot of stuff.

Speaker 1

Yes, absolutely, I just wanted to issue a warning to you, just a little bit of a warning.

Speaker 8

Those are warning, Yes.

Speaker 1

So I decorate my house for Halloween every year, and I know that you run by my house every night. They see you on your quick round the Fast feat and I just wanted to let you know that not to be alarmed, because I tend to have some very realistic Halloween decor and sometimes it's shocking to people. So I just wanted you to be aware of that.

Speaker 9

Well you know, I mean, I don't know how your current neighbors are dealing with it, but I don't want anything graph I can kind of shoulder it because of the kids.

Speaker 1

Well, if you'd like to come over, I can go over the decorations with you, and maybe even some include you in it if you'd like.

Speaker 8

No, I don't want to help you decorate, man, I just like I would love.

Speaker 1

It if you would come over and help me decorate my house or Halloween. Is what I'm saying.

Speaker 9

No, no, no, sure, sure, I'm not coming over to help you decorate your house. I have my house, you have your house, and honestly, your phone call is getting a little a little weird.

Speaker 1

You could just stop on one of your runs and then, you know, be a part of the decoration process.

Speaker 9

No, no, sure, listen, I don't even know you, and I figure if you want to come over and meet us, you want to come over and meet us, sure stop by, say hi, drop off.

Speaker 2

It would like to.

Speaker 9

Knock guard.

Speaker 1

I really would like to ease you to decorate my house Halloween.

Speaker 9

Use me to like decorate your house. Yes, when you found I'm not coming over there, you're gonna do somebody.

Speaker 1

He's a fit person, a fit boy.

Speaker 5

Thank you to.

Speaker 1

Decorate. Okay, Sometimes be careful when you're running by my house during this time of year, the spooky season, because there are you know sometime.

Speaker 9

No, no, no, actually I think you should be careful calling me in the morning with this.

Speaker 1

Bus a trip on something.

Speaker 2

Maybe you know.

Speaker 8

What, I'm not gonna go with this this morning. I'm gonna call the cops.

Speaker 10

That's it.

Speaker 1

If we could okay, if we could not involve the police, that would be great, because I'm tired of them coming over to my place.

Speaker 8

Oh yeah, I'm sure you're tired.

Speaker 9

You probably got bodies tied in your basement like.

Speaker 1

What they've stopped at my place before because it was so realistic this time of year that.

Speaker 2

I don't want to back.

Speaker 8

No, no, no, no, no, no, okay, yeah, and I'll see you something. I'm calling the cops, the cops.

Speaker 9

He's like you, yeah, well, I don't like you when I'm calling the cops right now.

Speaker 1

Okay, Well, I'll let you know that this is actually Jubil from the Jubil Show doing a phone brank on you and your wife set you up. She said that you guys just moved into a new neighborhood and she wanted to mess with you.

Speaker 8

I was like, I don't know who this is.

Speaker 9

I'm not gonna let anybody go do it.

Speaker 2

Isaacah, you have a good day now to live.

Speaker 1

Everyone wake up every Morning with jubile Phone Branks.

Speaker 2

It's time for Nina's what's trending. There's a new fashion trend you may want to take on, and that is bathrobes. Oh yes, I love a bathroom. I mean I do too, but I don't know about this bathroom. Bathroobes are the new trend. Vogue is co signing the entire look, and even Angelina Jolas stepped out on a red carpet wearing a coat that looks just like a bathroom. The writer of The New York Post is calling this the latest in post pandemic unpretentious looks. So after the lockdowns, people

stopped carrying I mean, pandemics four years ago. Let's move on. I'm wearing a sweatsuit, thank you very much. That is free pandemic.

Speaker 8

That is free.

Speaker 4

That's that you could take that sweatsuit, not this version. You look very great today, Nina. You can't take that version all the way back to the seventies.

Speaker 8

Baby.

Speaker 2

Yeah. Okay, well, honestly, bathrooms you kind of could too. Back in the seventies, I think they wore coats, so what were they just long coats?

Speaker 1

But this looks like the was in the seventies.

Speaker 2

Maybe it's the Playboy mansion.

Speaker 4

But back in the seventies, people are still putting suits on to get on an airplane.

Speaker 2

Oh yeah, you're read.

Speaker 1

I guess my version of the seventies is the playboy man, because that's what my parents told me. I just think of a dude walking around in a bathroom smoking. That's just like crazy.

Speaker 7

Make that.

Speaker 2

Your brain very very vivid. Play All right, we'll do what you will with all of this information. This one's gonna get you. I never thought i'd say it, but it's hilarious. Snoop Dogg, Martha Stewart and Bick have just designed a new iPhone case that comes out in two colors b as in the lighter, so it's called Hold the Phone Case. It's molded to cut out so on the back you can have one of Bick's Easy Reach lighters in the back of it. That's funny. So it's

it comes in two colors, blue and purple. And the funny part is that they're actually marketing these lighters to be convenient for candles. There are limited quantities. They're supposed to be only for the iPhone fifteen, but if you're going to use it. It's very convenient when you need to light a candle.

Speaker 3

It reminds me of like the road phone cases that Haley be made like to hold her lipstick, like to hold her road lipsticks in.

Speaker 2

For now, Martha Stewart.

Speaker 5

And Stoop Dogger made it to hold your lighter.

Speaker 2

I mean she probably started the trend. I mean she's not wrong. What else can you stay?

Speaker 1

Martha Stewart and Snoop are just like best friends everything.

Speaker 5

It's so cute.

Speaker 2

Do we not love it? And a lot of people might get in on this because of their friendship, you know. Anyway, So if you get one of those limited time and then OSU, the Oregon State University, has developed mild hobanaro peppers. They're developed them. I don't know why you want it mild. They're supposed to be hobbinaro the reason right, but they're now calling them then a hottas and mild things. But what makes them mild? Like, what are they putting in

it to make it mild? They're described as having a fruity and floral fragrance and flavors that have lower heat levels. And so these seeds are going to be available at farmers markets next year. So now gardeners can have their hot and not a hobbanaro pepper is how.

Speaker 1

Bad do you want a hobby nuero but not a hobby aro?

Speaker 2

Like, I don't know what.

Speaker 1

Why don't you just get a halopeno? Then another pepper that's not.

Speaker 11

A hot if you can handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen. Peppers have taste beyond the heat that if there's a taste to it, well.

Speaker 2

There's peppers and all other kinds of peppers and other places. Crap on this science class. It just developed a new vegetable.

Speaker 1

Not like them to make a banana that doesn't taste like a banana as much thought khost pepper.

Speaker 2

Yeah at a restaurant, Yeah, can I get that? Not a hot a soup? You know, like, come on anyway, that's what's trending. It's time to catch a cheater.

Speaker 5

Only on the.

Speaker 1

Jubile Show, Fiona is on the phone for to Catch a Cheater today. She's been with her husband Travis for seven years, but now she thinks something might be going on. So so hopefully we can help you find out that he's not cheating. But we'll find out that he is, but at least get you some answers, Fiona, what's going on, Like, tell us about your situation with Travis.

Speaker 5

This is crazy.

Speaker 7

Travis and I have been together for seven years and it's been It hasn't been perfect the whole seven years. We had some like financial troubles you know, new marriage, you work through stuff. But for the last few years it's been really really good and we've really been just so connected.

Speaker 5

My boutique business has just.

Speaker 7

Really taken off in the city, and Trevis just got a new job that he loves and it pays more, so we've been able to start like really saving and building towards our future together.

Speaker 5

Nice.

Speaker 7

Yeah, and it's not just the money, Like he's doing something he loves now, Like he's a film director and he's only ever done like tiny commercials or you know, boring like a music video here and there maybe, but mostly boring stuff. Okay, yeah, in a couple of like really bad movies like back low budget. But recently he got a gig where he's working for an indie film company, one he's always dreamt of working for, never thought he could.

Speaker 5

And uh, he's doing a really good job there.

Speaker 7

They're paying him really well and he's actually living his dream and he's happy.

Speaker 2

That sounds greater.

Speaker 7

Liked to paint a picture for you. Like Travis, he's like a love bull, goofy, silly guy. Like he's lighthearted. He's the one making me laugh when I get stressed about business or just life.

Speaker 5

If I get too uptight. But he's also kind of a you know, he's gullible.

Speaker 7

Okay, so sometimes like he winds up saying yes too much, or trusting people at what they say at face value, like, oh, they're telling the truth because everybody tells the truth, is what he says. That's cute, but it also makes me worry for him because he gets himself in these situations where he's like taking the fall for other people or doing their job because he can't say no.

Speaker 5

He just says yes if somebody asks for something.

Speaker 2

Okay.

Speaker 7

So I'm kind of wondering if, like I'm if this is one of those situations, if what's going on right now is something where he's gotten like pushed into a corner or something. I'm just I don't know, cheating on you or what. Let me back up just a little. I'm super super cle us with my grandma. We talk every day. It's not twice a day. She was downtown the other day and she was going shopping, and she said she saw Travis in.

Speaker 5

A luxury car with another woman.

Speaker 7

Oh yeah, oh, and my grandma's words, not mine.

Speaker 5

She said he was.

Speaker 7

In the car with the bab line and they were laughing and joking, and Travis was all smiles. They were at a red light and she saw the woman reach down like out of view and reach reached down, and then the light turns green and they pick off, ha ha, laughing in this luxury car. Like what am I supposed to do with that? You know?

Speaker 12

No, I'm still trying to I'm not really upset, and I don't want to say something stupid and be wrong or I've never accused him in our whole marriage of anything other than like not taking the trash out.

Speaker 5

But I'm like trying to understand, first off, who is this woman?

Speaker 7

And second off, like, because he's an honorable guy, but what's up with the car? Because him and I both drive boxes and we promised we were going to drive him until they die. Is he moving on since he's been moving up in the company. Is he living a second life now?

Speaker 5

I'm stupid? Yeah, So what I was thinking was you guys could.

Speaker 7

Call and say you're calling from the production company he's been working for, and he's been working a lot of hours, and that you want to, you know, give him roses as a thank you.

Speaker 5

For his hard work and dedication.

Speaker 1

Yeah, okay, yeah, we can do that. See if he believes us and then sends him to you or somebody else.

Speaker 5

Okay, yeah sounds I mean, I'm scared, but yet Yeah, all.

Speaker 1

Right, well, well play a song, come back, and then call him and see if we can bring this out for you with the ketch It theater next right in the middle of the ketche Theater if you're just joining us. Fiona is on the phone and she thinks that her husband, a seven years named Travis might be cheating on her. So we're about to call him and see if we can catch him. But first, Fiona, why don't you catch everybody up on your situation.

Speaker 7

My grandma saw him downtown the other day in a luxury car with in her words, off and she was in the car with another woman laughing, and she said she saw them like her reach down by his body, so like maybe touching him. And I want you guys to call. Say you're calling from his production studio that he works for, and that you have roses he can send to someone, and I want to see if you're sending them to his wife or to this woman mystery woman.

Speaker 2

Okay, here we go.

Speaker 1

Hello, Hey, sus Travis, who's calling? My name is Trouble. I'm calling from productions. We haven't met yet, but you've been working a ton of hours.

Speaker 8

Yeah, I'm a I'm a director, so my hours are insane.

Speaker 1

Well you've been You've been crushing it, and we want to say thank you. Okay, we know that you're you know you're busy and you probably don't get time to see people and stuff. So we actually wanted to give you some flowers that you could send to somebody, just a dozen long stim roses, just to send to somebody, just uh, just for being you and working so hard.

Speaker 8

Not I is going to stop. Gus you playing with me? I don't know anything about really.

Speaker 1

Yeah, yeah, well thank you for working so hard. Uh, so I can get this in out, I will need to get some infro from you in a second. Do you want to do you want us to like put a card and stuff with it too?

Speaker 9

Yeah?

Speaker 8

Absolutely cool? In fact, do me, Trevor, do this. Let's do it because I'm actually have a surprise for my wife. But on the car put I have a surprise for you. Call me when you get this. Love you all right? Hey, just you know got a guy. Look, I know you know we're in the same industry. You probably got a lot of ladies out there.

Speaker 1

Huh, I ain't got time for that.

Speaker 2

Yeah, right, you be honest with me.

Speaker 8

I am being honest, my man. I'm slammed.

Speaker 1

Are you sure about that?

Speaker 8

Yeah?

Speaker 7

Man?

Speaker 8

Why what's up?

Speaker 5

Oh?

Speaker 1

Because this is actually Jebel from The Jewel Show. It's a radio show. We do a segment where we try to see if people are cheating. And your wife, Fianna is actually on the phone.

Speaker 8

Hmmm, what what are you? What are you talking about?

Speaker 5

Hey, Travis up?

Speaker 13

My grandma saw you the other day driving around downtown in a hot car with apparently a hot woman and she was reaching down in the car for something.

Speaker 5

What what's that about?

Speaker 8

Okay? Uh, look, okay, I don't know. I don't know what's going on here, but bib of what's going on? I don't know what's going on here, but okay, I guess you're gonna just ruin the surprise.

Speaker 2

Your wife grandma saw you out with another woman. Who is what's like you had time for that?

Speaker 8

Are you kidding me? You're talking you're talking about Nana, really, that blind old lady. You're you're you're killing me here. But first of all, all right, and I'm just you're just gonna ruin the surprise on on on Nastal Radio. That's fantastic. Yeah, that was your best friend Megan. All right, you've like she's seen a million times. She was letting me drive a new car. You're actually your car and.

Speaker 5

Not only that.

Speaker 8

Yeah, that's right. Last time Megan came over, you know, I just let her know keep this a secret. I was getting you a new car, bab right, That's that's the reasoning behind it. So I don't know what was going on. Last time we were over. We were checking out the car, making sure everything was good and you know, the front and the back seat. So unless that's what your grandma was seeing and nothing going on, I got

you a new car. That's that's what's going on. And I just yeah, heape, I just wanted to say thank you. You know, just these last year's I've been like super rough. You know, I know how hard things were going. You know, you were taking care of me, supporting me financially. And now that you know I got this job, I'm I'm so excited and everything's going real well. And we both deserve things, and you deserve a new car. So Megan was helping me choose your car and we were test

driving it. That's it. Ain't nothing going on.

Speaker 5

Oh my god, Oh my god, I feel so stupid. Oh my god, Travis, I'm so sorry. I am so sorry.

Speaker 14

I knew, I knew you wouldn't cheat, But at the same time, you gotta see, like my point of view, like you're in a hot car with a hot woman, and my grandma got me kind of rowed up.

Speaker 8

But I've never given you a reason for anything like that, know what I mean?

Speaker 5

No, this is this is this is for me.

Speaker 8

You know, leave to leave it to your grandmother a cause problems somehow, you know what I mean.

Speaker 5

I mean a new car. I need a new car. I mean it's I want to see it like, oh so happy. Right now, I'm just trying.

Speaker 8

To follow when you get on home, it's going to be parked in the driveway. And man, I'm gonna. You know what, I'm now a little upset because the whole supply got rude.

Speaker 5

I'm sorry, I am so sorry.

Speaker 2

Oh my god, may I feel like you did? Your grandma did see him with a woman, So yeah, you have grounds for being a little frustrated. They're a good thing. It was a happy ending, though.

Speaker 5

Yeah. I'm like, my mind's blown.

Speaker 7

I'm speechless, Travis, like I love you, like, thank you, You're so sweet.

Speaker 1

Oh my god, congratulations on the new car.

Speaker 5

Yeah, thank you. I mean I don't want to see it now. I wish I was home now.

Speaker 7

Oh my god, I feel so stupid, forever doubting you.

Speaker 8

You know, I love you and I know we've been through a lot, and so I wanted to do this for you, and I really hope you love it, and I really you know, I love you. You know, I just want to let you know I love you.

Speaker 1

It's probably the happiest.

Speaker 5

And I get a car.

Speaker 15

There you go the Jewell shows to catch a cheater?

Speaker 5

Good morning? Can I take your order?

Speaker 10

Am I going to a tall time at a large black coffee?

Speaker 5

Large black cost? Do you mean a VENTI?

Speaker 16

No, I mean a large he means eventI yeah, the biggest one you've got.

Speaker 9

Venti is large, no Venti is twenty Large is large.

Speaker 5

In fact, cole is large, and grande is Spanish for large.

Speaker 2

Venti's the only one that doesn't mean large. He's also the only one that's Italian. Congratulations, you're stupid in three languages.

Speaker 1

Speaker 15

First Day to follow Up powered by the Advocates Injury Attorneys Online at.

Speaker 1

Caleb is on the phone today for a first Day follow up and he's getting ghosted from a date that he went on with a woman named McKenna. In a few minutes, we'll call her in social house why she's ghosting him. But first, Caleb, how long has it been since you heard from McKenna.

Speaker 18

Well, let's see, I guess it's been it's been about a week now. Yeah, since I heard we left things. I mean, as far as I thought, we left things pretty good. We had actually texted that same day later to hang out again. She's seemed excited, so I don't know, I don't know why it's been a week.

Speaker 2

So well, then let's go backwards, because you did have an interaction with her that sounded good. So when how did you meet her? What was your date like?

Speaker 5

Well, the date was great.

Speaker 18

Well I met her actually at a at a work event several years ago and we went on a date back then.

Speaker 8

But we I guess, I know, I wasn't.

Speaker 18

Really looking for anything serious at the time. I had some family well and some work stuff going on, and I could tell she was seeing busy. But we we had a great time, had some drinks. There was I thought, some chemistry, and uh wound up just kind of hanging out for the night and that was it. Just sort of lost touch. But at this point, you know, I guess it's been I guess it's been almost six years. I reached back out just to see what she was up to and if she wanted to meet up, and she said yes.

Speaker 8

I thought.

Speaker 5

We had a great night.

Speaker 18

We did some bar hopping, had some food. She had to me drinks that night, I do remember. So she wound up coming and staying at my place. But it was in a sense, I mean we hung out, there was some cuddling, some kisses, whatever. Thought she left in the morning. You know, I had some coffee and I thought we were gonna do this again, and then I just did not hear back from her, and I'm so confused.

Speaker 2

So did she say that she wanted to do it again?

Speaker 9

Yeah?

Speaker 18

Yeah, I mean in the last text we were, she was it was like she was just waiting for me to reach out and kind of plan something, and then when I reached right out, I just never heard anything.

Speaker 1

Is there anything you can think of there would be a reason to get ghosted.

Speaker 18

I've racked my brain, Like I saw, I guess I had so my ex girlfriend, which has been months and months ago, I know she had left some stuff in the apartment.

Speaker 5

I got rid of a lot of.

Speaker 18

It, but I did I noticed a couple of days ago there's like a pretty yodor a stick was still like in that side drawer that I usually keep open. So like maybe she saw that and saw something was going on.

Speaker 5

But I'm kind of grasping a straws.

Speaker 18

I mean, I just I don't know.

Speaker 2

I've seen shampoo in the shower before. That was a woman's And I was like, I don't know about all this really. Yeah, that didn't make me feel good.

Speaker 1

Yeah, A reason I get I get that it's just she could have asked me. Yeah, well, we'll see if we can figure it out for you. Then we'll play a song come back, and then call her and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting you and get you maybe get you another date.

Speaker 2

Okay, cool, thank you?

Speaker 1

All right, we'll play a song, come back and get your first day follow up next.

Speaker 15

First day to follow up powered by the Advocates Injury Attorneys online at advocateslaw dot com.

Speaker 1

Right in the middle of your first day follow up if you're just joining us, Caleb is on the phone and he's getting ghosted by McKenna. So in a second we're gonna call her and see if she tell us why she's ghosting him and maybe get him another date. But first, Caleb, why don't you refresh our memory on her date with McKenna.

Speaker 5

Yeah.

Speaker 18

So McKenna and I had a great date. This was the second time I reached out of here years ago. Timing wasn't right, but yeah, I thought we really hit it off on this last this last date, and she.

Speaker 5

Wound up coming stay in the night.

Speaker 18

Everything seemed cool. We had plans to move forward, and then it's been a week now and I cannot get in touch with her.

Speaker 8

So I don't know.

Speaker 18

I I my ex girlfriend had left some stuff at the HOWM deodorant something. Maybe maybe that had something to do with it.

Speaker 5

She saw that and got some ideas.

Speaker 18

But I'm racking my brain just trying to figure out because we had a great time, chemistry was there.

Speaker 8

Just haven't heard her?

Speaker 2

All right? Are you ready for us to call her?

Speaker 8

Uh?

Speaker 10

Yeah, yeah, okay.

Speaker 1

Here we go. Hello, Hi, mansweet to McKenna.

Speaker 2

Please.

Speaker 5

This is McKenna.

Speaker 1

McKenna, how are you? This is Jubil. I'm calling from a radio show. It's called The Jubil Show him McKenna.

Speaker 2

I'm Nina also on the show. Hi, and I'm Victoria.

Speaker 7

Hi.

Speaker 2

How are you?

Speaker 5

I'm gone.

Speaker 2

Have you ever listened to the show before?

Speaker 5

I yes, I've listened to it, so just curious what's going on?

Speaker 1

Okay, Well, we do a segment called the First Day follow Up. That's where if you go out with somebody on a date and you ghost him, they can email us to get you on the phone and ask you why you're ghosting them. Oh yeah, Do you have any idea? Who would ask us to call you?

Speaker 2

I have some.

Speaker 5

Thoughts, but I don't know what's going on.

Speaker 2

His name is Caleb. Was that your thoughts?

Speaker 1

Yeah, Caleb emailed us told us about your date and said he had a great time and he's wondering why you're not calling him back.

Speaker 5

I mean, we did have a great time, and you know, I had liked him before when we met at a work party years before, and so I was excited to

hear from him. And we went to a bunch of bars and I had a little too much to drink, and he was really kind enough and took care of me, and I had a great time, and you know, you want to kind of follow up what people have done up to and so it just happened to have seen his ig like the night before we went out, and then afterwards, I just wanted to see if there was anything on there, and I noticed that he had followed a bunch of people, and so when I looked to

see it, he randomly followed like ten bikini models. And I showed it to my girlfriend and she said, it's like a red flag. And so I'm just really not about that vibe. If that's what he wants, then that's fine. I don't need to, you know, get involved with someone who's about that. Wait are you are you s talking me?

Speaker 1

That's Caleb. Caleb is actually on the phone listening and wants to talk to you.

Speaker 18

Uh wait, yeah, you're on my Instagram looking at who I'm following?

Speaker 5

What is that about? I haven't seen you in six years and pop into my GM and of course I'm going to look at her. It's normal and well, you know, following people on Instagram. I don't understand me a bikini all bikini models like you know that after you spent time with me and we had a good time, and your go to is to go follow bikini models. No, all that is is eye candy. It it doesn't even mean anything.

Speaker 8

It's just, yeah, it's what guys do.

Speaker 5

I'm a guy after spending time with me, Yes, you're You're correct, a typical guy. So that's what I don't want is a typical guy who's gonna follow bikini models after spending time with me.

Speaker 18

Okay, well I probably don't need somebody policing what I can look at and interact with.

Speaker 5

I thought we had a great time together. It happened relatively. I thought you were adorable, and then I just noticed and it was It's what people do when you haven't seen each other for six years, is to see and you're the one that DM me on your accounts. Of course I'm going to look at your ID.

Speaker 2

Why are you following beginnings?

Speaker 18

Well, in my defense, I after our date, I went hung out with my buddies and Nick was there. I told you about Nick. We were all watching some of the old older Olympics like videos and stuff, and that got us looking on Instagram and one of my friends grabbed my phone and clicked a bunch of them. I didn't realize I was following them anyway, but if I followed them, that shouldn't.

Speaker 5

Be a problem.

Speaker 8

It's just what guys do.

Speaker 5

You Your guy friend followed fifteen bikini models all at the same time, and he just happened to go through that all at the same.

Speaker 18

Well, I mean he added some and then we were going through I added some. It didn't It was just stupid. We were just looking at girls. I was honestly so excited about the date.

Speaker 5

That's how it all started.

Speaker 18

As I was talking about you, and I showed them a photo and that's where they followed them.

Speaker 2

McKenna, What is it about these bikini models? That's making you so upset.

Speaker 5

I mean it's just like I don't know, I just it was literally after our date.

Speaker 10

I like, yeah, it's.

Speaker 5

The timing of it, and so then it just seems like he's not serious. I'm looking for someone serious. If he wants eye candy, go get the eye candy. I mean I believe like I'm a beautiful woman and I deserve someone whose attention is on me and not on bikini models that he may never ever meet.

Speaker 2

She wants to be your eye candy, Caleb.

Speaker 18

McKenna, you are my eye candy. These girls on Instagram it's all fake anyway, it doesn't add up to anything.

Speaker 5

It's a pipe dream and you're the real deal. Me that it doesn't, sir great to do that immediately after our date, Like why would you do that? I mean we had a great time. It just ruined my perception of you. That is what is more important to you, is this eye candy girls? Like there, it wasn't it wasn't. It wasn't just warning. It was like it's not like a million to the fifteen.

Speaker 18

Well you, I mean, yeah, I followed. I followed some girls, but you followed Christians or like right after our.

Speaker 2

How do you know that?

Speaker 5

So you looked at my account? Is that what you're saying? After yearsld me crap about looking at your account? So you brought itself.

Speaker 8

It didn't actually bother.

Speaker 5

Me, But you're throwing it back in my face. Something that you said that was wrong for me to do. You were throwing it back in my face.

Speaker 2

It's kind of cute. Guys, you're stalking each other.

Speaker 1

It's like you guys have been together for a while. McKenna. Would you like another day with Caleb? Will pay for it?

Speaker 5

No? I don't think so. I mean, if that's his go to right after a date, like I, you know, I don't need to be worrying about if he's looking at other girls, that's what I don't want to be worrying about. And if that's his immediate reaction after our first date, then I don't want that kind of energy.

Speaker 2

So he made you feel insecure right away?

Speaker 5

Yeah, I mean, you know I'm pretty secure, But if that's what your go to is after our date, like, that's not the energy that I want. I, for.

Speaker 18

One, don't need my social interactions micromanaged. And it does sound like an insecurity issue to me, which shouldn't exist, but that's what it sounds like.

Speaker 5

Well, good luck to you with those bikini models girls.

Speaker 8

Yeah, mckennaugh, thank you, and good luck with Chris Hemsworth.

Speaker 1

I really think you guys should go on another.

Speaker 5

Days first date.

Speaker 2

So I'm for Nina's what's trending. So Kim Kardashian wrote an essay on why she believes that the Menendez brothers should be released from prison, and people are actually believing that this may work.

Speaker 1

But who she write it to?

Speaker 2

She just wrote an essay, an open essay. Okay, So the Los Angeles District Attorney just said that new evidence has been discovered that the brothers were actually assaulted by their father, and there is now a new hearing that has been sent for November twenty ninth that they're going to be talking about all of this.

Speaker 1

So that's why she's saying they should be let out of prison for serving.

Speaker 2

Well, she went to the prison to visit them, and so she's been spending time with them and she believes that they're good people. She believes that once they were eighteen and twenty one when they got put away. And if you remember, this is because the Netflix series is out that Ryan Murphy had created about these two brothers who killed their parents years and years ago, so she thinks that they're good people. But now all of the eyes on the two brothers has started to create a

little bit of a stir. And if in the show, you'll see that their dad managed or worked with the band Manudo, and one of the members of Menudo is now coming out to say that their father had also a sh my gosh, the exact same way as somebody who was assaulted by his father as a child and raised by a terrible person.

Speaker 1

As far as I'm concerned, I still don't think that you should get out for murdering them. I think that's it's a bad precedent, you know. And believe me, the things that I've thought in my head I would love to do to that person. Still I didn't do them right right, you know, Like, you can't just go around killing people. You can't take a lot of your own hands. Unfortunately that's the well not unfortunately, that's the world we

live in. You can't do that. So I don't think they should be let out, even if he was a terrible monster of a person, you know. And it's really sad because when you're a kid, like you can't. You know, it's hard to like go tell somebody or whatever, but you know you can't. Just I don't think you get a pass at murder.

Speaker 2

Not for that. No, I don't believe you get a pass at murder either. The crazy thing is, though, is that this hearing could eventually lead to another retrial and resentencing, so not like a full release, it would just be this whole thing all all over again.

Speaker 4

The problem the justice system though, is because if they go through all of these things and everything gets blown out of proportion again and there's a new era of Menendez brothers on the news, how do you even get a fair trial? And the bottom line here is there is no contesting they killed their parents. That is not in question. It has never been in question, right, So this doesn't even make sense to me.

Speaker 1

That's the part that gets me. It's kind of weird to me. With the Hollywood stuff, is like I hear a lot of people saying, well, this happens, so they should be let out. But it's like they did the crime though, you're still a crime, Like, you know, you can't do that, and what about the moms too? Yeah, Like she also was killed. Yeah, right, so yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 2

I don't know either. But the other not to keep going as far as I'm concerned, there are a hundred and not to keep going on. But what was the name of that girl that also recently got out of prison that was like doing all those books, not the tours, all those interviewers, Gypsy Rose, you kill her mom? Yeah? Oh wait, how she got in prison? Well, her sentence, she finished her sentence.

Speaker 1

That one, That one is interesting to me because yeah, she finished, she did finish her sentence. Because the thing is that you maybe change the sentencing. Okay, right, maybe it was an act of like you, you know, whatever you want to call it. Where with her her mom was also trying to kill her. Her mom had munchausen, you know, and so yeah, her mom was making her sick and everything else, and like, yeah, but she still had to do the time, you know what I mean?

Speaker 2

Yeah, I think about that.

Speaker 4

She had a self defense case, that's a legitimate case, and still had.

Speaker 2

To do time. Right. Yeah. Yeah, they walked up on their sleeping parents and murdered them.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 2

I think there's a bigger conversation here because of Hollywood. Oh sorry, this was a self defense. Yeah, yeah, two very yeah. So okay, well that's what's trending, brought to you by Muckleshoe being going off. I mean there's more, but that's just will leave it there. Yeah, your home for michion Goo.

Speaker 5

Yeah.

Speaker 2

I love when it gets awkward interesting, and I just it is. I could talk about this for a long time. We're not gonna jewels a dirty little secret. Hello, Hello, he secret.

Speaker 8

Yeah.

Speaker 10

So, basically, my dirty little secret was that I was dating somebody that lived in a different city than me, but they lived in the city where I have a cousin that stays there. And basically he went to the Bolden Alley and told me he was going with some friends, and my cousin ended up at the same Bulden ally and told me he was with a girl. So I drove down there and I was waiting to see if he was going to walk out with her, which he did, and they ended up going to some kind of bar.

Speaker 5

Together or something.

Speaker 10

So I sprayed the front top of his car and his door handles with pepper spray because he has a tendency of like touching his face all the time. And I knew it because his door handle. He would end up seeing his hand with wet and put it to his face to smell it, which he did.

Speaker 5

I know.

Speaker 2

I didn't say this out loud.

Speaker 18

Burning.

Speaker 10

Yeah, he was like literally screaming in the parking lot that his eyes was burning. Is boys are never any help because all of his friends was just recording him laughing. I know. Oh, I think it's an eyelash in my eye, like something's in there I can't see. And then he started calling me. He started calling me like I need help, I need your help. And the whole time I'm thinking, like, you don't even know first praying your eyes?

Speaker 2

Wow, well, yeah, pretty good. Honestly, I love intelligent revenge story. There's something about it and I shouldn't say that out loud, but this one's funny.

Speaker 1

Well, thank you for telling us your dirty little secret. I'm sure you've inspired a lot more people to have your revenge if they get cheated on.

Speaker 2

Have a good day you too, Thank you.

Speaker 1

Hello, Hello, Hey, what's up?

Speaker 2

You have a dirty little secret.

Speaker 16

I have a dirty little secret. I'm in the process of getting a divorce, and I empower myself by doing these little things like peeing in my scheem to be ex husband.

Speaker 10

Peloton shoes, what.

Speaker 16

He makes her smoothie every morning with zucchini, and a.

Speaker 5

Couple of times I've like rubbed it on my butt.

Speaker 2

Wow.

Speaker 5

There was an incident with his toothbrush that.

Speaker 10

We probably shouldn't mention on air incident.

Speaker 2

Wow.

Speaker 1

So basically you're pen and rubbing his stuff all over you.

Speaker 7

Yeah.

Speaker 16

I did scrub the dog bowl with his hair brush.

Speaker 1

Also, Oh dear, are you guys are still living together? While are you getting divorced?

Speaker 16

We are getting divorced because I found in his email a folder of nudes from a coworker.

Speaker 1

Okay, oh oh damn, you're still living together though, that was the question.

Speaker 16

I'm not leaving this house or I'm getting this house, or I'm getting.

Speaker 2

Half of it.

Speaker 1

I think proof that if you're going through a divorce you should probably separate. Peed on and rubbed it on things.

Speaker 2

At this point. It's making her mental feel way better. I'd be pretty upset about that folder too, Are you kidding me?

Speaker 10

Well?

Speaker 1

Thank you for telling us your dirty little secret.

Speaker 5

Thank you for letting me share my dirty little secret.

Speaker 1

Of course, have a good one.

Speaker 2

What's your dirty little secret?
