Episode description

In this final episode of Season 9 of The IAB UK Podcast, James talks to the IAB's Policy team - Christie Dennehy-Neil and Beth Rogers - about the Online Advertising Programme, or OAP for short. The OAP has been set up by the Government to review the regulatory framework of paid-for online advertising and consider how it can build on existing and emerging aspects of the self-regulatory framework.

While it's very hard to predict what the outcome of the OAP will be, the fact that the consultation contains a wide range of potential changes to the current regulatory framework indicates it is highly unlikely that everything will stay the same.

In this episode, Christie and Beth help unwrap some of the details of the consultation and explain why it's critical for IAB members to be aware of the programme and to be engaging with it. Read more about the Online Advertising Programme here along with our FAQs here.
