Some Stats From Our Show and Greetings To Our Listeners
Podcasters love their stats! We seem to thirst insatiably for more and more and more listeners!
In this episode I share some of my stats with you and share the countries currently listening as well as some info on the ages of some of my listeners - interesting stuff!

Why do we love stats so much? The headlines in the media are filled with that latest stats. Stats sell. The stats are often quoted from the latest reports. People then parrot them around like they’re fact when most of them are complete garbage.
When people get out of hand quoting stats I like to throw out a stat of my own!
73.6% of all statistics are made up. I say it deadpanned.
Often I’ll get some people look at me like, “really?”
Or as Mark Twain popularized the quote most attributed to the Prime Minister of Great Britain, Benjamin Disraeli,
“There are three kinds of lies: lies, darn lies and statistics.”
The quote is meant to highlight the deceiving but persuasive power of numbers.
As of the time of this recording, this very podcast is being listened to in the USA, Canada, Australia, India, United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, Morocco and Tunisia!
My listeners range in age from 0 to 59 - no 60 year old listeners - interesting!
As a new podcaster, use your stats to learn more about the listeners that are tuning in, but don't obsess over numbers - it will happen, just look at every band that became an overnight sensation - they played their share of empty bars, parking lots and odd locations in the early days - they played to nobody, they were discouraged - the only podcast guaranteed to get listeners are the active podcasts - be active - keep going! Don't stop!
