Episode description

Examining our expectations helps us take our thoughts captive. What thoughts are we telling ourselves about a person or relationship? Are our expectations of a person or relationship realistic? Would we be able to meet such expectations as we set for others? Are we setting ourselves up for unmet expectations? We may have unrealistically high expectations of ourselves or others causing some low vibration emotions like disappointment, resentment,... Processing these emotions helps us get “unstuck” and develop healthier relationships.  If you find there is a genuine problem of course it should be addressed but checking yourself first is always a good idea. Even if you find you need to address a problem, you will show up in a healthier way and handle it with emotional resilience and likely get better results. Overall your mental and emotional health will be improved as well!
