Episode description
Part of self-development is exploring yourself to get to know you. In other words, to know who you are as a woman in this case. So, the intent is to open discussion about certain topics like this one. Then YOU who is out there listening to this can start your journey with some tools.
Today, we are talking about young women in developing countries. A chat with my soul sister Rahina Adamu. She is an advisor for Save the Children in Nigeria.
Building self-esteem and self-confidence among women are extremely important mainly at young age. Self-development opens that path of learning about yourself. However, young women might lack a supportive model to follow. Many times parents haven´t been introduced to the practice neither and institutions do not embrace education as a holistic practice. This first part of the interview talks about Rahina´s role, cultural influence and beliefs among others. Please stay tune over the weekend for part #2.
