Is 2019 a Bad Time to Come Out Trans?

Is the political climate right now conducive to coming out trans? In this week's episode we answer a listener question: "Someone close to me has come out to me as trans and I’m so proud of her but so many things in the news scare me. I know she finds them scary too. I just wonder, if you were facing starting a transition in today’s world, would you? Would any of the threats to trans rights going on today give you pause if you were still at the beginning of this process?"
