Episode description

E618: Google’s March 2025 Core Update just dropped.

Google announced, “This is a regular update designed to better surface relevant, satisfying content for searchers from all types of sites. We also continue our work to surface more content from creators through a series of improvements throughout this year. Some have already happened; additional ones will come later.”

There’s been rankings volatility, even for me - one of my sites was hit and rebounded.

Others are reporting volatility as well.

Last year was a bloodbath for content sites. Will the same thing happen this year?

What does it mean that Google will “Surface more content from creators?”

We can’t forget Google’s previous recent statements about “Originality” being big in 2025.

All of this and more is addressed.
