Speaker 1

The Volume. What's up, everybody, Welcome back to the Draymond Green Show. As you know, we are recording this morning after Game five where the Dogs got.

Speaker 2

A big win extending the series.

Speaker 1

Headed back to LA today, excited for the opportunity. As I told you all before, the goal was to win one game. We did that, protected our home court, and now it's time to go on the road and take one. And every series you gotta go win the road game, and we plan on doing that and we haven't done

that yet, so I'm excited about it. As a reminder, if you're watching this on the Bleacher Report app, don't forget to subscribe to the Volumes YouTube channel as well, as all of our episodes will not be there, but you will catch some of them. To lock in on both of them and just shout out to the Bleacher Report family and the Volume family.

Speaker 2

For me, this is all kind of tying together.

Speaker 1

Obviously, Breach a reporter is part of a Turner family, the Volumes of part of my family. So it's exciting and I'm happy how it's all coming together. The Volume, for me, has been a great, absolutely great partner. When I started this podcast journey year and a half ago, almost two years ago. In the next few months, I honestly really just wanted to try it out again. I knew from my first podcast that I did many years ago,

I wasn't and I wasn't ready for it. I knew that not often do you get second chances, and so I knew for me and coming back into this business that if I was going to do it, whenever I did it, that it had to be right, and it had to be and that I had to be committed. And so I always try to make sure I give you guys content that you're subscribed and checking out for.

Speaker 2

And again I just want to say thank you to the Volume as a partner man.

Speaker 1

It's been absolutely amazing journey and let's keep keep this thing going. But as I said, getting into Game five the Duves Too, Game five to one oh six, I came out energy, high energy, guns blazing, attacking from the gate. You know, when you're when you're facing elimination, you just got to leave it all out there on the table.

And by the way, we're facing the elimination again tomorrow, so we got to go out with not the same mindset, but an even better mindset because you're on the road, and the same mindset that works at home does not work on the road.

Speaker 2

So got to go in even.

Speaker 1

With more dog, with more fight, with more focused, and that'll be the goal, and that'll be the challenge for us. Just then this thing one more game and bring it back to the Bay for Game seven. Everybody loves Game seven, greatest two words in sports. So looking forward to Game six and going out there getting it done. Obviously, we all heard the news about a d also just recently heard that you know, he's expected to play tomorrow, which I'm happy about. You never want to play against the

team not at their best, not at full strength. And also, you know, as I spoke about last last episode with my when I banged my head against the against the floor, against the floor, when when me and bron had the collision mid air, just don't play with those head injuries. Man, They're they're serious. I saw a lot of people laughing and talk like, but it's a hit to the head, and like one small hit to the head can change everything in your life. So I don't really understand the joke.

I don't understand it at all. It's every time you step out in the basketball court, the football field, the hockey, on the ice, on the pitch, you're risking your life because one injury can change everything, you know well, and not this past World Cup, but the World Cup before, and they are having injury to his back that almost paralyzed him. There was a couple of centimeters away for paralyzing him. And so you know, I don't quite understand

the laughing why it's so funny. And a guy gets hitting the head like the smallest hit to the wrong part of the head can change your life. So I don't really understand that. But it's quite a few things I don't necessarily understand, but.

Speaker 2

In this world that we live in.

Speaker 1

But as I said, you know, I wanted to come out guns blazing, with high energy.

Speaker 2

Finished the game with twenty and ten.

Speaker 1

Jackson said, man, I just got on this logged in and Jackson said, man, your first twenty and ten games since twenty nineteen. I said, goddamn, Jackson, I only played in one playoffs run, had one playoff run since twenty nineteen.

Cut me a little slack, no, But honestly, you know, it's great to have a great game, Like I said, with your back against the wall, you want to play your best also found out more news last night that Lebron James and I are the only two active players with sixty plus playoff double doubles.

Speaker 2

And that one.

Speaker 1

That kind of took me back a little bit, Like, you know, anytime you're mentioned on the list with Lebron James, that's incredible. Like we all know his resume. I was sitting with my wife last night and she's like, oh man, that's dope. So sixty plus right, I'm like, yeah, Lebron probably got two hundred plus, but yeah, sixty plus, I'll take it.

Speaker 2

And it was, you know right, like I said.

Speaker 1

That's what you You don't play the game for records, you don't play the game for accolades, but that is what you put the work in for, you know, like to ultimately be acknowledged with the goats, and from me when I saw that, not some crazy big deal, but for me just to see that, like it's like more motivation to keep going, you know, Like I saw maybe a week and a half ago a triple double playoff list, and like I think I was right there ahead a joker or.

Speaker 2

Maybe a little behind our head. And but like.

Speaker 1

They're like Kevin Durantz in the playoffs, you know, like there are Jimmy Butler's in the playoffs, raw, like there's great players in the playoffs. And for me to be the only other guy on that list, Steph Curry's in the playoffs, Like, for me to be the only guy on that list, I'm very appreciative of that, and it's something that I don't take for granted. Steph had twenty seven, eight and three. I saw someone say, man, it was a pretty quiet twenty seven or quiet game for Steph,

and I'm like, okay, well that's cool. I mean, it was definitely like not some crazy flur. You know, we're used to like Steph going on these crazy flurs. And it was just like steady the whole game, like pace control, getting others involved no turn, not turning the ball over, like it was just controlled the whole game, and it was just marching you along. And I thought it was absolutely great, absolutely incredible, you know. And also didn't want him to have to carry so much of the low

like he did in game four. That is a bit taxing on the body, and we definitely didn't want to do that. And so it's great, you know, for me to come out and have a good game Wigs. Two Way Wigs came out with twenty five seven boards, five assists, an incredible defense on the other end. That was a point in the game where he started picking Bron up like way out past half court and someone asked me, like, do you like Wiggs picking up the high out like

why is he pick bron so? And I said, that's the competitive juices, Like what do you mean, do you like it? Or why is he doing it? Because when you're out there on the floor and the juices, like you get the competitive juices flowing, you just go with it. And so in that moment, he's like, forget that, I'm picking him up.

Speaker 2

And like.

Speaker 1

In one of those plays, I was able to get the block on ad behind because I just when you got a guy that's doing that, that's putting that effort out there, regardless of what it is.

Speaker 2

When you're you have.

Speaker 1

To be beyond beyond behind the play ready to react. When he's picking up like that fool, he has to know somebody got me covered if I get beat, because the reality is, hey, you know, we know what a what a force, such a force that bron is coming downhill. But the reality is there's so much space to give someone to run a start for him to pick him up that way, like he has to know and you have to ensure that he knows if I do that, someone has my back and everybody had his back, and

it was absolutely great. I think people tend to forget. That's wigs twelve game in three and a half months, so you're starting to see more of the putbacks and dunks and the legs coming back and absolutely coming out a great time because we need it not only well numb first off, to get back control of this series and win this series, but also moving forward, we know how important Wigs is to everything we do, especially come playoff time.

Speaker 2

So that's huge.

Speaker 1

GP two Gary Payton, Man, it's playing incredible basketball plus twenty five and twenty seven minutes. That is why you trace five second round picks for Gary Payton the second to bring him back to help you win a championship because you know the impact that he has on the

game on both sides of the floor. Absolutely amazing competitor and you got it honest as we know, his pops is one of the greatest competitors and growing up watching that, he took some of that and does it in a totally different way, right, like, way more toned down than his pops, much quieter, It's much nicer in a sense. Oh GGP was an asshole at times, talking a bunch of cash.

Speaker 2

I loved it.

Speaker 1

You know, one of the guys I have the utmost respect for, and so you know, it's good to see GP having a series that he's having, especially after not playing a bunch early. You know, you make those adjustments and you need guys to step up, and he's been stepping up. Moses Moody has been stepping up. Moses Moody has given us great minutes. Was riding with Moses last night. I was dropping him off at home and I said, Mo, how crazy is it to you that, like.

Speaker 2

You guarding Lebron James in the playoffs.

Speaker 1

He said, Man, it's crazy, he said, that's my matchup, like I'm guarding him.

Speaker 2

He guarded me.

Speaker 1

I said, it's incredible, man, Like a couple of years ago, you was in high school, your guard Lebron James, he's guarding you in the playoffs. That's incredible. Enjoy those moments. Keep doing what you're doing, playing hard the way you're playing, controlling what you can control, he's been giving us great minutes. Shout out to the young young champion, Moses Moody. Clay did not have had another rough shooting night, but his

imprint was all over the game. Number one, whether he's having a rough shooting night, dude, just what Clay does for your space and teams aren't going to help off him at all and so opens the floor regardless, And like I said, I would love to see them give him some open looks if they think, oh man, he's not shooting, well, we can help off.

Speaker 2

That'd be great.

Speaker 1

His defense, his competitiveness had he had his imprint all over the game.

Speaker 2

He was really really good defensively and.

Speaker 1

Got into the paint a couple of times, broke the defense down and kicked it out like took eleven shots, by the way, wasn't forcing anything, wasn't forcing shots. It was absolutely incredible And at some point he's going to have a big shooting and we know that and we trust and we believe in that. Hopefully it's game six Clay, that would be nice, but definitely looking forward to that.

Speaker 2

JP had a much.

Speaker 1

Better game last night, just more aggressive on both sides of the ball, and you know, his shot still didn't fall at the rate where you're accustomed to it falling out, or at the rate that he wanted at. But you don't just come out of a slump guns blazing. You get it back step by stepping. So seeing him as aggressive as he was taking good shots last night, now you start to build on that, you start to see

more shots fall, and I think that's huge. So it's great to see him looking more like himself last night, and I enjoyed that. I got a chance to see the great Matthew McConaughey after the game.

Speaker 2

It's absolutely incredible to meet him.

Speaker 1

Uh with the great Mark Bennioff uh founder of Self, CEO of Salesforce. Maybe step down the CEO of Salesforce, by the way, I'm not sure. I haven't kept up with that news over the last couple of years. I know he was stepping down and maybe not. But you know, Mark's great. I've had the opportunity to spend some time with him a couple of times.

Speaker 2

Absolutely incredible person.

Speaker 1

What he's done here in the city of San Francisco, it's incredible. What he's done for business as a whole in the world is absolutely amazing. One of the one of the perks of playing for the Golden State Warriors is like you're around greats like Mark, Bennie Offfen and Eddie Q and like the list.

Speaker 2

Goes on and on and on.

Speaker 1

Where where where lucky to be around those types of people and learning from them and rubbing elbows like it's absolutely incredible. You're talking about some of the best in the world at what they do. So I'm always appreciative that. Before we are, Jackson wanted to know what the conversation was with Zach Zarba about me quiet and down. I saw people saying, oh, man, Draymond asked for a tech

and he didn't get a tech. Well, the reason I didn't get a tech is because what Zach was telling me he was going to tech me for was for talking to the other team, not for talking to him. I wasn't having much of a conversation with him. The conversation with Zach was about me talking to the other team, and so he said, like, Draymond, I'm going to text you. I said, Zach, you're gonna have to You're going to have to not because me and him was in some argument and I told him to text me because I

was talking to him. So for those of you that's out here making it out like, oh, they just wouldn't take Draymond. He wouldn't take Draymond because what he told me he was teching me for wasn't occurring at the time that he said he was gonna text me.

Speaker 2

So what did I do. I continued to talk, but I toned it down.

Speaker 1

I didn't make it so obvious that you all could tell that I was talking. But I continue. It's a part of the game. It's a close out game. And you know what Zach said. And Zach, as we all know, is one of the best officials in the NBA. He said Draymond, I know it's a high emotion game and that right there, like that understanding is huge.

Speaker 2

Like so many people don't understand that part of it.

Speaker 1

It's like, oh, man, every game is the same, and I always tell you guys, it's so cliche. Every game isn't the same, Like the emotions isn't the same for every game, and so like just to have a great official like Zach Zara to understand that, it's like, yo, every game is not the same, Like the emotions in this game is extremely high.

Speaker 2

I understand that. That's huge.

Speaker 1

That's huge, absolutely huge, because what it does is it allows for a better product for our fans, you know, like fans want to see guys going at it, and it allows for a better product as opposed to like treating it like a regular season game, like oh man, guys are talking early motion like nah, it's different.

Speaker 2

It's a close out game.

Speaker 1

It's a playoff game like Backs against the Wall, seasons on the line. You can respect guys who understand the way Zach does absolutely incredible.

Speaker 2

So that was the conversation.

Speaker 1

For all of you that may have thought I was cursing Zach, I wasn't cursing Zach out at all.

Speaker 2

It wasn't the case. He was telling me to shut the hell up that what was going on, but not to him. And so once the conversation continue with him, I'm saying, Zach, you're gonna have to text me that was that anyway before we move on, I'd be remiss, And I apologize for taking so long to say this. Praying for Jamie Fox. Jamie Fox, I've had the honor of getting to know him since two Thoy fourteen fifteen. One of the best human beings you'll meet absolutely incredible person.

There hasn't been much info release. I've heard a few things.

Speaker 1

I'm not going to go into them because that's not my business, that's not my place. But I just hope some of the info that's come out lately isn't true. Jamie Fox is a staple and the culture. He's a staple in the community. He's a staple in Hollywood and one of the best ever, one of the most talented human beings on planet Earth, one of the hardest working

people on planet Earth. Jamie Fox is an incredible comedian, He's an incredible singer, he's an incredible actor, and quite frankly, I feel like I'm leaving something off the list.

Speaker 2

I mean, you're talking about.

Speaker 1

A guy that's great at like all of those things, Like it's so rare impersonating people. His performance in Ray was absolutely insane, Like was nuts, like he played Ray Charles like I couldn't believe it. Such a pillar and everything we have gone and the progress that we've made in Hollywood as African Americans. I just hope and pray that he's okay, that he stays strong and fights and

get through what he's going through. Praying for his family, sending my love and well wishes because to all of us, he's like the most talented person in the world. He's absolutely amazing. Like we've had the we've had the honor and pleasure of watching him from all these years. Jamie Fox Show is one of my favorite shows. That's what he is to us, right like, but he's a dad, it's a friend, like a son like.

Speaker 2

To his family, and.

Speaker 1

Like every day they're living with that void of him being in the hospital, him not being the Jamie that he's been, the rock that he's been for them for so long, and so I'm praying for them, praying for him and wishing him well. Like I said, I would be remiss if I didn't say that again or now, and I do apologize for not saying it for so long. It's just such little information. Didn't know much, so didn't want to, you know, just start speaking and not knowing

what's going on. And so I still don't know a ton. Like I said, I've heard some things, but it's not my place to share those. But prayers up for his family, prayers up for Jamie, wishing him and hoping and praying for speedy recovery.

Speaker 2

And getting back to basketball.

Speaker 1

The Knicks extends the series with a one twelve, one oh three win over the Heat. Jalen Brunson played forty eight minutes at thirty eight, seven and nine. I must say, I'm very surprised that the Miami Heat has not gone to Jimmy Butler on Jaylen Brunson, Gay Gay Vincent is doing a incredible job of competing. He just don't have the size. He doesn't have the size. And I personally think like Jalen is everything for them, like he makes the team go, like he's getting him into their sets,

He's getting his stuff. Julius Randall had a much better game last night after starting one to seven, finished with twenty four. But Jalen's the engine, and you have a guy in Jimmy Butler who's capable of guarding him. I'm shocked the Miami he hasn't gone to that. Maybe that's a game six adjustment, we'll see, but Miami's headed back home in Game six with an opportunity to close. I think it's very dangerous that they allowed Julius Randall to get going. You definitely wanted to keep him on ice,

keep his confidence low. They allowed him to get going makes game six a lot tougher. Like I said, though, the one thing I think can help with game six is if they put Jimmy Butler on Jalen Brunston. Looking to see if they'll make that adjustment. But I watched that game late last night, and you had Duncan Robinson with a three on.

Speaker 2

The wing, down one oh five to one on one.

Speaker 1

He hits that three, makes it a one point game, could change everything. In turn, he misses it. They go down. Jimmy steps up off Mitchell Robinson's body on the drive, they drop it off, they get a dunk.

Speaker 2

They go up six fast forward.

Speaker 1

Duncan Robinson had another three from the top of the key, missed it again. Jimmy had two free throws down three, missed the first one. I said all that to say they had every opportunity to win that game.

Speaker 2

They let one get away. Gotta go make it right in game six.

Speaker 1

You do not want to return the massive square garden in game seven with them Knicks.

Speaker 2

Fans, so they gotta go get it done.

Speaker 1

They let it Golden Opper Twnity slip away last night, so be looking to see how they bounced back. In other news, the seventy six Ers dominated the Celtics. In Game five, Joel had thirty three and seven boards.

Speaker 2

I said, after.

Speaker 1

Game four, we expect Boston to go home and respond, but Joel gonna have something to say about that, and boy did he.

Speaker 2

What I thought was impressive about that game. I watched the entire game.

Speaker 1

Tyrese, Maxi, Tobias Harris, James Harden, Joe l and b All God had good nights. And then PJ. Tucker did what PJ Tucker does. They got a lot from those guys on them. They pretty much controlled the entire game from start to finish.

Speaker 2

And I didn't like what I saw from Boston. I started.

Speaker 1

I've seen some finger pointing, just as your thought, God, slumping their shoulders and dropping their heads. I didn't love what I saw. And now you're on the ropes, going on the road for Game six in Philly. It's tough. Boston's in a tough, tough spot.

Speaker 2

Can they go in?

Speaker 1

Of course they can go in. Of course they can. In order to go in, though they're gonna like, yes, Jalen Brown has to play great. Yes, Jason Tatum has to play great. Marcus Maart and all that. But They're going to need a much better Robert Williams. Robert Williams, he just hasn't looked the same to me in this series, and he's such a force. So they're going to need a much better Robert Williams in this Game six, and if there's a game seven, if they're going to take

this series, can't be all Al Horford. He didn't shoot as well last game, So we'll see how it turns out. I think Philly goes home and close it. I definitely think they go home and close it. You cannot let this opportunity to slip away. You win and deal what you had to do. In Game five, I got Philly going home and close it. And lastly we got the Nuggets versus the Sons. Nuggets took a three to two lead.

Joker had twenty nine, thirteen and twelve. Bruce Brown has been the key to the series twenty five points off the bench. As great as the twenty five points is, his defense on Kevin Durant has been amazing. Like he is competing, He's getting underneath k He's making him uncomfortable. Bruce Brown was one of the best offseason additions to any team.

Speaker 2

Him KSEP.

Speaker 1

They've really helped take that Denver team to another level and for him to have the game that he had in Game six. He's also guarded books, He's guarding KD something he's competing.

Speaker 2

Man, he letting you hear about it. I love it. I love what Bruce Brown is doing.

Speaker 1

But in order to close this series out, there going to need a good Jamal Murray in order to close this series out.

Speaker 2

Do they close it out in six? I don't think so. I think this thing goes seven. They're obviously more than capable of closing it out, but I think this thing goes seven. D book finally had an off night, which none of us thought was possible. Eight for nineteen from the field. By the way we're talking about he had an off night. That's not an awful night, but just the standard that he set. That is an off night for Devin Booker right now.

Speaker 1

And you know, I think one of the most impressive things about what d book is doing been doing this. It's still been all tough shots. Like at one point I think he was like thirty two or thirty three for forty tough twos, Like they're not easy shots, they're tough floaters. They're over to defenders, like even his threes have been tough, but he finally had a tougher night. They're gonna need a great Devin Booker and the great Kevin Durant. They're gonna need a Landry Shammitt from game four.

In game six, her Aiden's a little banged up. He hasn't given them much, but I'm sure you still need his presence and a big body versus Joker. So we'll see what happens there with Phoenix. I saw Joker and matt Ishbia make up. I must say I thought the little ball toss was a slight like here, motherfucker, take this.

Speaker 2

I thought that's what I thought of the ball toss. That's just me. I could be a little messy.

Speaker 1

I don't know, but that's what I took away from the little ball toss, like here you want the ball?

Speaker 2

Here going man, It's all cool, No, but it was good to see.

Speaker 1

Also, I appreciated matt Ishbia for coming out after the game and saying, listen, man, we don't want to see nobody suspended.

Speaker 2

We trying to play this game.

Speaker 1

I also respect the fact that he flopped and tried to get Joker thrown out the game, like both on great on both fronts, like come on, man, let's stop trying to get games. I do not respect when guys go ask for a guy to get suspended or like, oh man, we'll see what the league does, like stop it, stop it. One thing we all know is that the league listens to everything when it comes to suspensions and finds they listen to those things. And as a competitor,

do you really want a guy suspended? We watched that change of Sacramento King Siri, care for what you ask for. But I respected Matt Spartan dog style come out like we ain't begging for nobody to get suspended on the team at full strength. So shout out to Matt ishb be on that that was absolutely incredible.

Speaker 2

Happy the league didn't suspend Joker.

Speaker 1

I saw Dame Dollars tweet like, yeah, I don't think he should be suspended, but if that was Draymond, and boy, all I could do is laugh, because well we do know that's neither here north there. Let's get into these NBA awards. Yours truly made second Team All Defense. It's like a backhanded compliment, like a backhanded slap in the face, like, hey, man,

you one of the best defenders. Hey you're second team, Like, come on, man, I find it to be funny in sense, like I definitely think I had a first team All Defense type of year. Now you take into account we didn't win as many games, but like the are the teams win that many more games? Or is it because we had an off year to our standards? Interesting and saying that. Congratulations to all the guys that did make first team, Congratulations to all the guys that did make

second team. I think first team was Alex Caruso, Drew Holliday, Jaron Jackson, Junior brook Lopez And don't you say this Jackson, I know who it is. Brook Lopez and Evan Mobley was first team. Second team was yours? Truly, Damn I got to buy you, Dylan Brooks. I need help with these last two Jackson.

Speaker 2

Two guards Conference two.

Speaker 1

Guards, Eastern Conference, Eastern Conference two guards. Man, this is a tough one, but it'll come to me. Give me one second.

Speaker 2

Uh, Derek White, what was second team All Defense? And the last one he's a big, big two. It wasn't Jimmy Butler, was it? No Ah? Who is it. I know this. Let me see.

Speaker 1

So how I come up with these things is like I started going down the list of team. It's nobody on the New York Knicks. It's nobody on the Brooklyn Nets.

Speaker 2

Although I was shocked that Mike kel Bridges did not make All Defense team, wasn't anybody on the Brooklyn Nets?

Speaker 1

Not Indiana, not Detroit. Soon you start going on the list, not Charlotte, not Washington, not Orlando, correct, not Atlanta?

Speaker 2

Correct? More Eastern Conference teams. Not Indiana or was it Indiana? Nope, No, not Indiana.

Speaker 1

I'm missing a couple of years in Toronto O g Anoobi that is the last one on second team All Defense? First time or congratulations, og, congratulations all the first times. I think Caruso was the first time, or ever Mobley was a first timer. Derek White was a first timer. So congrats to those guys. Absolutely incredible honor. I know I just said as a backhand and slapping the face, and quite frankly, I feel like that to myself.

Speaker 2

But don't get it twisted.

Speaker 1

I am always thankful, thankful to all the voters for acknowledging me in defense. You know, I don't take it for granted, that's eight times for me in eleven years, the three being my first two years I didn't play a ton and then twenty twenty we stunk in won fifteen games.

Speaker 2

Those were the three I didn't make.

Speaker 1

So I'm always thankful and honored to be acknowledged, especially like I said, when it comes to all defensive teams is something I take very seriously. And next year I'm looking forward to getting my first team stamped back so I can walk around like Pat Bev with my one finger up saying first team.

Speaker 2

The originator Tony Allen.

Speaker 1

By the way, no disrespect to the great one of the Goat defenders, Tony Allen. As you all know, I got a bunch of respect for him. And before we get out of here, lastly, all NBA first team, let's talk about this uber one. Jimmy Butler, Steph Curry, Janni's Ante de compo, Lebron James, and Dame Dalla would not have made.

Speaker 2

It under this new CBA rule. And so now you take those guys off. Dude, we really think all five of those guys should not make all NBA.

Speaker 1

That's what you all were complaining about. That's what you all were begging for that's what you're up against. Those five guys would not have made All NBA once this new CBA starts. That's an interesting one, and I'm not sure that that's the right thing. As I said before, I don't love it. You're gonna get guys on there that don't deserve it, and quite frankly, I just think

that's whack. Congratulations Shay Gilges, Alexander first Team All NBA, first time, JT back to back first team All NBA's Lucas probably this is probably his fourth straight first team All NBA or something like that.

Speaker 2

Janni's and l and B rounds out First.

Speaker 1

Team All NBA, Second Team All NBA, Steph Donovan, Mitchell, Jayleen Brown, Jimmy Butler, Nicola Jokic, Jaylen Brown.

Speaker 2

Really big time for Jalen Brown.

Speaker 1

Sucks for you, Jackson and Boston fans because that puts Jalen Brown up for I think a two hundred and fifty million dollar extension.

Speaker 2

I think, which is absolutely insane. Well, I know that's nuts. Congratulations to Jalen Brown.

Speaker 1

I love nothing more than seeing guys get paid in this league, So congratulations to him.

Speaker 2

He said he was going out there to get it.

Speaker 1

I also respect a guy who's not afraid to speak on his goal and then go take it.

Speaker 2

He did that, he earned it.

Speaker 1

Now y'all gonna have five hundred million dollars tied up between two players. I absolutely love it and they're absolutely deserving of it. And Boston has to do it. You can't those guys want, So what are you gonna do? It is what it is. That's an interesting one, but it's a great one. Congratulations to those guys in third team, Dame Dalla, Daron Fox, Julius Randall, Lebron, James and Sabonis. Some omissions here, Uh, John Morett misses out on a

Supermax unbelievable. I also saw Donovan Mitchell say foh about being on second team, So who should you have been on first team over Donovan?

Speaker 2

We would love to know. I would love to know. I just want to know the opinion.

Speaker 1

But John Morant misses out on the supermax deal, and I must say this is.

Speaker 2

All due to what he had going on off the court.

Speaker 1

He was eleventh in the NBA, scoring fifth and assists team was second in the West. All due to what he had going on off the court, which absolutely sucks because his play on the court's.

Speaker 2

All NBA level play.

Speaker 1

I think you get a very motivated job Morant coming back next year, feeling snub feeling slighted, feeling like the underdog again.

Speaker 2

I'll look out for.

Speaker 1

Joh Bam out of Bay. You was another guy that was not on there. Now you got Jimmy Butler on the second team. They were an eight seed or seven seed. But now, ac can you can you put Bam on there and they're that low of a seed. You can have two guys on all NBA team. That's tough. So I understand that one. There were a few more snubs, but as we know, it's fifteen spots, like you can only have d. Book wasn't on there, KD wasn't on there. You can only have fifteen guys. Sucks. That's the reality.

That's also a rap from this episode of The Draymond Green Show. Talked to y'all after Game six the next day, Peace
