What's up, guys, and welcome to this episode of Sloan Alone. On this episode, I'm gonna be talking about NBA players, dogs, trades, and All Star Game. What could be better than that? All right, Let's start off with the dogs with a new segment called Guess the Dog. Let's see if I can go three for three. All right, So this first dog, straight off the bat, This bulldog I know is Rocko Thompson.

I pride myself on the random NBA knowledge that I have, And I mean, what gets more random than knowing Klay Thompson's dog's name. But as a Warriors fan, Rocco was always out and about in the bay on the boat, in the kayak. I haven't seen as much of him in Dallas, but I'm curious to see what he thinks about that Texas lifestyle and what he thinks about the Luca trade. Maybe he may this is his uncle or godfather or whatever position Rocco played in Clay's life. But

that dog definitely belongs to Lay Thompson. All right. Next up, we have a little Rottweiler Doberman. I don't know, I don't always get my breeds right. But based off of this dog's chains. I'm gonna say this dog belongs to Anthony Edward. Is that right, Shay? Okay, you know what. I see that because this dog, this dog has style, he has aura, so that's fair. This is a very cute dog, as Shay is. Now, I'm just kidding, but

this is a really cute dog. Oh wait, Actually, now that I'm looking deeper into the photo, I should have really gone in because now that I look at the sweatshirt, that's so like a Shay sweatshirt. I need harder ones next time. But let's see if I can go two for three. Okay, Well, I know this dog. This is Devin Booker's dog. This is the cutest dog. And I love how de book and him are always together. This dog is always in Devin's Instagram everything like that. You know.

Instead of the Puppy Buwl for football, I'd love to see a Puppy Bowl for basketball where all the NBA players dogs go together. They have those little doggy hoops and the little squishy toys with the squeaky thing and just go at it. I think that would be really fun to see. All right, now we're gonna move on to the trade deadline. So this was one of the craziest trade deadlines of all time. I feel bad for Shams, like I doubt he got even one minute of sleep.

The amount of energy drinks that he had to take probably is crazy. Shams, if you're watching this, please let me know what the secret is, because sometimes when I'm studying, I need that I need to be able to stay up all night and it just doesn't work out for me. So obviously we got to start off strong with the Luca A. D trade. It's now February tenth, and the trade happened on February second, eight days later, and eighty is already out for two months. That's sad. That's really sad.

I feel for MAVs fans. I have to say it. They just lost the phase of their franchise trader for Anthony Davis and now ad is heart. That is rough. But you know, they still have Kyrie, they still have Clay, so let's see how their playoff hopes are. You know, when I first heard about this trade, I laughed because I was shocked. I didn't think it could be real. And Nico Harrison, I have a tip for you. If Rob Plinka, you know the the GM of the other team. When you call and you say, hey, I want to

trade Luca Dontis for Anthony Davis and he laughs. Usually that means you don't make the trade. I'm no GM expert. I'm not claiming i am one, but common sense tells me that you shouldn't make that trade. Uh. It's gonna be interesting. Luca's debut is in eight minutes and after this episode, I'm gonna go and watch and I'll be back here on Sloan Alone soon to talk about it. This is gonna be exciting stuff. Also, I have to shout out Max Christie Sloan knows alum also getting traded

to the Mavericks as part of this trade. I'm really happy for Max. He is a great shooter. He's been shooting incredibly. I think he had Uh. Max Christie's had fifteen, fifteen, and twenty three in his first three games for the MAVs, and that is good to see. He has come in strong. It seems like he's found his place. So I'm really happy for him. On that fact of the Lakers, let's talk about Mark Williams, Dalton connect, Cam Reddish and two picks.

So Mark Williams felt perfect for the Lakers. Luca requested a lob threat. Everyone knows the meme about the Lakers needing a center, and Mark Williams Ducalum averaging fifteen points, six points and ten boards for the Hornets, felt like the perfect player to fill that void. But then the trade was rescinded. That is crazy. That is crazy, That is sad. I'm happy I'm not a Lakers fan right now because all the emotions that I would have to

be going through right now is insane. I guess Luca doesn't get that low threat anymore, and it looks like that lop threat is now gonna have to be Jackson Hayes unless Slow know's alum Dwight Howard somehow, somehow, like he's been dreaming of signs that contract. But I do love Dalton and I'm happy for him that he gets to say in LA and doesn't have to move around too much. But if I were him or Camraddish, I would not be happy to go back to a team

that just traded me until the trade was rescinded. That's crazy. I hope one day we find out a little bit more, because I doubt it was just one team failed to go forward with their part. There's definitely more drama going on there, and you know, I'm a teenage girl. I love drama. I'd love to hear it. Another thing that I really love as a teenage girl is the Golden State Warriors. And that is why I want to talk

about the Jimmy Butler Golden State Warriors trade. At the beginning, I was quite hesitant, and that is because Jimmy outwardly expressed how he didn't want to become a Warrior and then became a Warrior, and when you're a fan of a team, that's never a good sign. But I think, knock on wood, I was proven wrong. I think this is a new Jimmy. He has Butler the Third on his back. He's wearing number ten. Step smiling, Jimmy smiling. In the first two games that Jimmy's played as a Warrior,

they've combined for fifty nine and fifty eight points. It really feels like we have a new duo in the bay. We're two to zero and now I feel like we could finally win the plane. Be in the plane. See, I'm not trying to be too confident and say the Warriors are gonna now win the chip because we got Jimmy Butler, because that would be crazy. But last week the Warriors were at their lowest point. They were out of a plane. They had a losing record and it

was bad. And now that Jimmy's here, it's looking up. The future is looking up. I also did want the Warriors to trade for an Aulstar, but I didn't want them to trade to Jonathan Kaminga, And I was really hoping we could find a way to do that without trading Jonathan, and it happened, and so I'm really happy about that. I didn't want to get rid of him, Luckily. You know, I love Dennis, I love Kyle Anderson, but I love Lindy. Right, but the guys that we got

rid of haven't been longtime Warriors. They've been here for a few months. None of them really found their rhythm, especially Dennis and Kyle, two great guys, two great players who can thrive on other teams. It didn't really feel like either of them were really working that well for the Warriors rotation. So all in all, I'm pretty happy with this trade, and I'm really excited to see how it goes forward. All Right, there's so many trades. There's too much to talk about. I like to keep these

episodes short, so that's all for now. But next I want to go on to All Stars. So you guys don't know that much about me slow knows ha ha. But one thing that I do want to know is that I actually made CIF for soccer. But the problem is is that I may not be able to go to the whole All Star Game, which is very upsetting because that's my favorite weekend of the year. But I will still probably get to go to Saturday and Sunday, which means I can still make it to see Jello

performing at halftime. I'm very exciting, but I'm also really excited for the new All Star Game format. To see Stephan Lebron on the same team, that's everything to see. I'm excited to see Draymond and Moses Moody a not a common duo, not a duo that we see a lot team up in the Skills Challenge. I'm excited to see the G League Next up game. That's always really fun to see. It always strengthens your ball knowledge a little bit. I'm not that excited to see the dunk contest.

I get it. Mac McClung. He's gonna win. That happens every year and no offense. Tomatas buzzellis, but he's not really who I'm looking for. When I think of Dunk Contest, I think of Jaw. When I think of Dunk Contest, I think of Zion. When I think of Dunk Contest, I think and when I think of Dunk Contest, and I want to be seeing that again. I'm sure all the guys in it will put on a show, but it's not the dunk Contest I remember from when I

was much younger. And then when it comes to the three point contest, there's great guys in it, right, I'm not going to say there's not, but it's not a three point condest. If Steph Curry's not it, well, the greatest shooter ever is still in the league. I want to see him in the three point contest. I did think he was going to do it, considering this is the All Star Game in the Bay, but uh, it's okay. I think Steph will still put on a great show

on Sunday Night. So I'm very excited to see Thank you guys so much for listening to this episode of sloan alone. Make sure to like, comment, and subscribe down below. Bye.
