He's been summoned to answer for his so-called crimes regarding the Rhone missile. Are we likely to see any complications? Yes.
My agents in Xenos know of plans to intercept the president at the event, especially if things go in his favour. And they will go in his favour. Auto. Transfer the International Confederation Brief to Kit Johansson and Valentina Vardy. File transferred. Viz files of those involved are all there. Your instructions are clear. Dismissed. Yes, sir. I can't talk about that. I... I lost my partner. Yes. I'm sorry. It's the worst thing.
Hopefully it won't happen to me. Yeah, well, that's a hope I can get behind. You're fresh. No previous partners or overseas assignment? I heard Boss talking about them taking out whole units of enemy soldiers on their own, and I didn't believe it. Thought he might have forgotten to mention other deck soldiers being involved, but no. They could do it. And you were in a room with them. You didn't have a partner agent. You were in there alone. Most training agents are on admin duty and get stuck doing paperwork until their first deployment. Well, I've done my fair share of paperwork, but...
Honestly, it didn't sink in, you know, the danger, until it was over. I had a sore neck, but Yaz and Perone, they're bodies. Rhone's head was facing the wrong way, and Yaz... Well, he clearly punched her in the face, but her eye and that side of her face was just... Gone. Unrecognisable. And Boss wasn't even angry with them. They did that to Dex people and they got away with it. But they thought it was real, right?
They thought they really had been captured. You were torturing them. Yes. And I was telling them what we were doing to the others. That's when it all started working. I guess I was having... Fun, because I knew it wasn't real and it felt like a game. But, to them, it wasn't a game. No. Let's just say when Tristan told me I'd be paired with someone fresh, I didn't expect... You're not fresh, if you've seen that kind of thing. You must have scored highly on interrogation.
Interrogation and tech. Well, those were my worst scores. So we're well suited at least. Alright, let's get to that transport. We can read up on our targets on the way. Otto, remind me, what are the charges? You have been summoned to the International Confederation of World Leaders to defend yourself against the charges levied against you by the new Xenosi government. Namely, that you won.
Willingly and in full knowledge of your actions did not communicate the power of the warhead sold. 2. Used Xenosi land to carry out an illegal weapons test on a populated area. 3. are responsible for the deaths of over 3 million Xenosi citizens. That you carried out research of a nature prohibited by the International Confederation of World Leaders. Otto, wouldn't we have to be considered a nation in order to be held accountable for that last one? Yes.
And so far, the IC has refused to acknowledge Dex Island as an independent state. Yes. You have your speech prepared? Yes, of course. It's quite all right, Tristan. They have nothing on me. I'm more worried about the possible Zenosi attack, Nathaniel. You've assigned agents. They'll be disguised as political aides. They won't fail. So what's the problem? Just be on your guard. Tristan, I'm not a Jackman president and I won't appear like one. Our North Jackman president and client, Eric Thalno. He's relatively new and hasn't descended into total lunacy yet. That's too many to tail without losing sight of one, if they split up. So we incapacitate the PA, she removes herself from the situation, then stalk the other two and take them out. Incapacitate how? We need to slip her something. Get her to go to the bathroom and stay there for a prolonged period of time. Then we can take the other two out. We need her to be quiet, though. Neat. Agreed. Of North Jackra. Yes, as president of North Jackra, that should be your priority. We both have plenty to be doing there, I think. Yes, indeed. We'll talk more about that while we're here. Although since you moved to the island, they've not been tested. Those who occupied Dex Island before it was Dex Island were persistent. Persistent idiots. I'll never understand what possessed them to turn their attention.
Boredom. As soon as Nathaniel installed our defences, their missile stopped getting through and we were able to ignore them. So they targeted someone else. And were obliterated for their trouble. One country falls, another rises. With your help, Atala, Kelly, we could become a permanent feature. If it comes to a vote, you know where I stand, Nathaniel.

They say Rhone has been reduced to fine grey dust. And Dex Island is rising from the ashes. You know, Nana, my last partner, she was great. We were paired from our first assignment and sent to Rhone to infiltrate the rebellion. We were with them for four years, gathering intel. In the end, Boss recalled us. We had all these files to bring back, and Nana managed to get closer to the leaders than me.
We were on the northern coast, well away from the capital, and she opted to stay behind. We didn't think the bomb would affect the north. Of course, it affected everywhere. I wasn't with her. In the end, she was with a bunch of people who had no idea who she was. It's not right. And I knew... I had this feeling she needed to get out, but she kept saying no, that she'd be fine. Come on, Val. Wake up.
I can't lose you two. Not so soon. We were good together today. We make a great team. You can't let them get you. Not on your first assignment. Val? You're awake. I'll call someone. You call me Val?
