Come on the journey with us as Chris shares his letter of growth while telling his story of how he had to learn his not give his power away to the wrong people while on his path to his ordained greatness.Chris Tann was born in Ahoskie, NC where he began singing at the age of ten. After his move to New Jersey, Chris became a disciple of St. Matthew AME church- Orange, NJ, where he served as a Steward (two years), choir president (four years) and choir director for over ten years. Under the AME umbrella, Chris also served as the President for the Young Adult Network for the state of New Jersey (two years). Before transitioning to St. Paul AME Church- East Orange as their musical/arts director and trustee, Chris had landed leading roles in notable stage plays such as, DreamGirls (tour), Arms Too Short To Box with God (tour), Jesus Christ Super Star (tour), supporting lead in the Gospel Stage Play Crowns and various local productions throughout the tri-state area. In May 2017 and 2018, Chris was one of the McDonald’s Gospel Fest. male vocalist finalist. Chris is currently the musical director for Imani Baptist Church and has formed a new ensemble Anointed Praise. Chris has worked alongside Grammy award winner Cissy Houston, Emmy Award Winner Melba Moore, R&B artist Shirley Murdock and Emmy Award Winner and Producer Curtis A. Farrow. Above all, Chris would rather have Jesus, than fame or fortune.
