Episode description

In this episode, I chat with Suzanne Dailey, a proud instructional coach in the Central Bucks School District, the 3rd largest in Pennsylvania. Here she has the honor and joy of working with elementary teachers and students in 15 buildings. Suzanne is Nationally Board Certified, a Fellow of the National Writing Project, and has a Masters Degree in Reading. She is dedicated to nurturing and developing the whole child and teacher. Suzanne lives in Doylestown, Pennsylvania with her husband, two children, and English Bulldog.

During our chat, Suzanne shares a much needed and timely concept of teaching happier by infusing joy into classrooms. She discusses the need for modifying traditional approaches to professional development by leveraging teacher voice and choice to focus on their individual needs and learning styles. Suzanne acknowledges the struggle of infusing the human element into remote teaching but also stresses the importance of teachers and leaders to show up in the best way we can for those we serve and to continue showing them love, compassion, and support.

Enjoy.
