Nathan Chandler, or foil_perth on instagram, is one of the pioneers to the downwind foil scene in Western Australia. Teaching himself by chipping in at City Beach Groyne on a Go Foil Kai wing and then shifting to wake thieving in the Swan once he got a larger foil in winter Nathan explains what it took to learn to downwind. From solo prone sends down the coast, hungover downwinders back from Rottnest Island to a recent day of days that ended up with a rescue chopper for some of his shuttle buddies, this is a longer chat as the stories just kept on coming.
