58: Builder cancels couple's dream home 6 days before closing. "Canceled for convenience". What can you do?

A Central Texas family was left scrambling after a builder canceled the contract for a new house they were building. The couple was six months into the process and had already sold their current home when they learned the new one, they’d been putting money toward wouldn’t be theirs after all.  

This has happened various times in the Dallas Fort Worth Market and is something you definitely should be looking out for. Make sure you are always using a realtors for new construction.  I share a way to work around this and a hack to save money by using a realtor.
