We are living in the times of rising nationalism across the world today. But what is nationalism, at its core? How did nationalism really evolve in Europe? How is European Nationalism different from Indian Nationalism, and how are they different from say, Tamil Nationalism? Dr AP Ashwin Kumar joins us on Episode 27 of Thale-Harate Kannada Podcast to unpack nationalism, language and identity.

AP Ashwin Kumar is a Senior Fellow at the Centre for Learning Futures at Ahmedabad University. Ashwin has a PhD in Cultural Studies from Manipal University, and has 10 years’ experience in teaching and research in Cultural Studies. He has an upcoming book titled Nationalism, Language and Identity in India: Measures of Community.
