Fashion Goals

to today's topic, which is about fashion. So we're basically just gonna, you know, give the trends, what's in, what we like, what we don't like, that we don't like. I think like fashion has become one huge with our generation. I mean it's always been around obviously, but I feel like there's so many trends that have been brought back in our generation. It's so fun to like see what's new, what's hot. And I think also now, more than ever,

we are the most interested in fashion, right. And I think also it's more you know, accepted for you to dress however you want. And I think that's so awesome because I feel like in two thousands sixteen, everyone dressed the same, and that was a very sad we were we were hats every day. Remember we wore the you know what we were We wore the fake glasses. Oh my god, don't even. That was a thing and that was horrible. That needed to leave, thank god. But the

chokers were don't even. But now I'm I'm really excited because we can dress however we want it and you know it's accepted. Yeah, totally. I feel like TikTok is a huge space for the fashion trends. The Pinterest is my actual favorite place to go. I feel like I

find the most inspiration from there. And I have so many different like mood boards and things for like so many different looks like street style for fans, Like yeah, I just have lookbook, I just have all well yeah, I kind of put my all together, but like I've spaced it out into like I know what goes where. That's smart. I need to do that. Yeah, um, get on it, girl, I love Pinchest. Pinchess is my life. You actually showed me pinches I did. You didn't show it to me, You just got me on it, like

you made me interested again in it. Yeah, So what do you want to talk about first? Should we talk about some trends that are in right now that we like and don't like. Yeah, I would say the biggest trend right now is y two K's like the low rise jeans, which I have a love hate relationship with. It looks so good on you, on you, they look so good on other people and you and I do and I just want to I just wanted to pull

it off. So do you pull it off? I think it's just like, uh, it's it's scary being a teenager with like a following and wanting to wear an outfit that may show a bit of your body, and you just feel like, I'm not going to get criticized if I were this, but it makes me feel confident. So it's like a weird dynamic. But I feel like right now, we have been trying to dress for what makes us happy. So like fashion, for instance, makes us feel good, So we tap into that and we wear whatever we're feeling

that day. If we're like, you know, in a super like fun girly mode, well dress to that. Or if we're feeling more chilled and like relaxed, then we'll dress to that. It's just kind of like we base it on our moods, and I feel like every day could be different. Yeah, I think for me, I don't have a specific what what would you call it, like a set our style, Like right now I'm dressed like a tomboy.

Like I go through a bunch of different phases, and everyone's always like, what would you consider your style, and I'm just like, I don't. I don't have a style because sometimes I dress really girly and sometimes I dress very powerful, and sometimes I just don't care. Um. And that's what I love about like fashion, that you can dress however you want and it's just always fun. Um. But you pick out my outfits a lot of the time.

A lot of the time. But I love writing your closet, like I love picking out outfits for you from your closet because as much as we have similar pieces and we dress similar, we have like our closetes are just so different. And I just love going into years and be like, oh my gosh, because I always, like I think we do it to each other, Like when you come to my closet, You're like, oh my gosh, this is so cute, and I'm like, oh, I wouldn't even think to wear that, Like it's cool to have a

new perspective on it. I also think which is hilarious is the fact that our mom used to make us match when we were babies until like probably the age of like when I was four, Kensey was two, and I think my mom said that one day I told her I didn't want to match with Kenzie anymore, which is hilarious sad days for well, like at the time, Well, first of all, I don't remember being four, I don't remember matching, But like, looking back at the photos, they're

extremely cute. Do you wish we would have gone on with that a little longer? I think we would look so so cute. Maybe we should just bring it back. Maybe we should just start dressing as we literally looked like twins. You know what's actually no, we're not going to get into this. It's just going to say, you know what's so weird? I remember the High five concert? Our first Why are we talking about? Our first concert

was High Five? That was the Let's Save our Lives? Okay, let's continue, Okay, um, okay, oh my god, I'm just so off topic. Okay, what is your go to outfit that you would wear? Outfit? Okay, like if you had to choose one outfit. Okay, well, I think the outfit I'm wearing right now is like basically my outfit, but I wear different pieces. So I just wear baggy pants. Right now, I'm wearing like baggy car Why do they

so sure? Right now I'm wearing baggy cargo pants. But probably i'd wear baggy jeans, a tank top and a flannel and Converse. That's my go to outfit when I don't want to try and like actually search through my closet. I know exactly, you know, to think, You just put it on, walk out the door, right, and it's easy. Yeah,

I would probably agree, like my otfit. If I'm wearing like the most basic, like everyday outfit, it's just like a good pair of like Levi's and either a nice like baby tea or a sweater or you know, some sort of tank talk tank top with like a vintage shirt or something, and then like air Forces or my like low Doc Martins or Converse. Yeah, it's just easy.

You don't have to think. Right. Also, I think something that we got into the most within the past like a year and a bit is vintage clothing and thrift stores. It's my favorite thing to do. It's addicting. It's actually addicting. I have spent so much money on drifting, like it's so bad but and deepop deep whore, Like I want to die every time I go on it because I know I'm going to spend so much money. Every time

my mombs like, ks, what are you doing? I know, every time I open the app, I'm like, okay, here we go, mentally preparing myself literally, But I think it's just it's so fun to thrift because you know, not a lot of people have those pieces, right, so when you when you go to you know, urban outfitters or something, a lot of people are going to have that shirt.

But thrift NG, I feel so different and I get to it was so different, but you get what I mean, Like I'm not going to walk on the street and be like, oh I have that, like she has this top on. You know. Also what's really fun is something that we did the other day. Kenzie found this like really cute store these cargoes from there. Is it called

super Thrift It's yeah, it's called super Thrift Store. Um, And it's just this massive, like you have to dig through aisles and aisles and as of clothing, and we went the other day and I think we both bought probably like ten or nine pieces and we spent thirty dollars. Everything is like four and you find the coolest pants ever.

If you want cold pants there like literally our advice if you don't want to spend a fortune but you want to find really unique looking clothes that no one else is going to have, just literally go to any thrift store, go to good Will is really good, good wheels, anything. Go to flea markets. We go to like the flea market in l A every Sunday. Well for the most part, I haven't gone in a minute, but like or deep Pop, like you can still find I think I found like

one of my favorite tops from there is like six dollars. Yeah. The thing that deepop is hard to find things. So what I have learned to do is go to my my friend's deep pop or your deep pop or you know, like other influencers that I like, Like Luna, I went to her deep Hop and I just follow everyone she's following.

I follow everyone that Maddie's following. And then my feet is perfect because it curious it to what you gravitate towards so it's really really fun and that way, like you go on knowing like, Okay, I'm going to find a really sick like vintage pair of pants or a really sick vintage like slip dress or something like it's always and and oh my gosh, I've been really trying to like find more vintage shoes because that I feel

like completes the look. Like I'm really have been trying to find like a really cool pair of like vintage creepers, or like you found a really cool like boot, so I did. H If you could only shop at one store other than a thrift store, like an actual brand, what would it be my favorite? But it's an Okay, Reformation Vintage has become my favorite store. Really, you went there again. I went there twice and I now have the girls contact and she it's dangerous because she texts

me and goes, hey, we just got new pieces. Income I puld you some things and I'm like, oh no, and I spent some I know, I know, I don't know what my favorite store is. Actually, Um, I'm trying to think of some online. Okay, I don't shop a lot from here, but this is a really good store. To get basic tank tops or T shirts or anything for affordable like Tiger Miss. Like this is so weird because you would think Tiger Miss is still like batty, like Insta batty, but they have like the best sim

both basic tank tops t shirts. So I think that's my favorite store because other than that, like my whole

outfit is from the Stars. Yeah, I mean I think like also, it's going to be changing, so like our style is always going to be evolving, so to find like classic pieces, like I think everyone in their wardrobe, Like, if you're into fashion, you have to have like a staple pair of jeans, even if it's one pair, a basic tank top or a T shirt, and then just a classic pair of like converse, like and then you can base your entire outfit around those staple pieces. You

can accessorize it. You could wear a hat, you could put on cool sunglasses, you could even the way you style your hair and makeup could dress it up. So I feel like you just have to have key items and then you can build from there. Right. I I always every time I go shopping or thrift ng, I always find a new pair of jeans and I'm like, oh my god, I'd love these jeans, and then I take them back home and I have like twenty pairs of jeans and I'm just like, how am I supposed

to pick from all of these? It's our daily strugglest pairs, and I still have like and I don't know what to do and they're all like five dollars, which is so exciting. So I think we should talk about some trends. Okay, hit me, Um, what do you think about mom jeans? Love?

I love a mom Jeane? Yeah, I love a mom Jane. Um. We already talked about this with low waisted jeans were we're a fan, but it's more a confidence thing if we're feeling confident that I could Yeah, if if I feel bloated that day, I will be wearing a long T shirt covering, which is crazy because like no one else, like when I see a girl wearing lower ice sheets, I've never looked at her and said, wow, she looks bloateded.

I'm like, she looks amazing. So it's just like our own insecurities that like, you know, I'm sure they're feeling that too, of course, but it's like we shouldn't feel stopped by our insecurities to wear what we love. You know, I'm trying to get better about it, but it's it's it's it's a struggle. Oh my gosh, what about like juicy sweatsuits kensye war one? The other day to a part we had a Y two K party kensy war one.

I found, you know that when we go to the trading post, there's that one outlet that is so good and you just end up getting all your clothes getting all the close from there. I found it. I found this green juicy guitar sweatsuit and I was like, oh my god, how much is this? Like, please give it to me, and she was like, that's our last one, like and I was like, oh my gosh, I hit the jackpot. And I actually just got one sent to me yesterday, So are you going to be like rocking it?

So now I'm just Paris Hilton. We fun fact, we actually used to wear we had pink Valor juicy guitar sweatsuits and we would wear them to school with matching pink bugs and our names Rainstone on the sides. And I loved that. We loved it. That was us then, and I am regretting it slightly but that was then and we have moved on. I would never really wear my juicy guitar sweatsuit to like we would wear to like dance competitions, dance competitions. I mean even now, I

feel like lounging around the house. It's nice, but I would never I don't think I would walk outside being like so when you get it this because listen, I wore it for ye two K party and it just made sense. That's true. Also, wearing them, wearing the pants around the house is just so nice. What do you think about Air Force ones? I love an Air Force one. They they're classic, Like I would say that. I don't wear them as much as I used to, but there's still a staple. I prefer my Congress over my Air

Force one. I mean too, I feel like they just match more the aesthetic of like a vintage vibe. What am like hats? We don't really wear hats ever? Actually, wait, no, I wear trucker hats. I wear trucker hats a lot. Any other hat I I look so weird? I agree. I think that's also a huge trend right now, is the trucker hat. It feels very just like like cool.

I guess I just like relax like tomboy ish, But I love like pairing a trucker hat with like a gurly outfit because I feel like I love the opposition of like the masculine feminine that okay, we need to talk about that. I love now especially like seeing people just like switch up their clothes based on they're like sexuality and how like whether they feel feminine that day or masculine that day. I'm really trying to tap into

that more. Like I if I'm feeling like I just want to be relaxed, then I'll put on a more like tomboy outfit. But if I'm like really wanting to feel like cute seeing girly, then I'll put on like a dress. Like I don't know, it's really fun to tap into that. I've I've been doing that, um, I mean when you dressed me. It's actually funny because I have like two stylists. You when you dressed me, I always feel so like cool and like pretty and whatever.

And Dakota addresses me like him like I just I will stand next to him and I look like him, and I'm like, well, this is my tomboyfriends out your outfits that's so cute. It's because you're lazy. But also the thing is like when I when someone picks me out an outfit, I'm like, mmmmm, I need to go fix it really fast. So I don't know why I do that, but I do feel like every time. But he always tells me. He's like, if I pick you out an outfit, you can't change it. You have to

stick with it. And I'm like, okay, and then I end up just looking like him. So that's cute, but it's cool. That's cool. Do you like? There's some people and I had admire people for this. If you're like lounging at home all day, and I think like due to the pandemic, this is definitely like made us feel this way. When we're at home all day, you just want to like where the comfious thing. It doesn't want to be cute, you don't brush your hair like whatever.

But I admire the people that even though they're staying at home, they're like putting on a cute outfit, like it wasn't it even be a sweatsuit, but it's like a really cute one, and they do their hair nice, put some makeup on just to lounge. I've never done that. I have never done that, even like when we go to each other's houses and we're not doing anything that day, we are in the world webpants look like I don't know anything about fashion? Yeah, exactly, no makeup Like that

was me all day yesterday. My friend came over looking cute gee and staying to I was in my Christmas all day. Love that. Who are your like some of your favorite like fashion inspose? Um. I love Haley Bieber style. I think has the best style. I think she can be you know, cute and sexy and also she can

be tomboy. And that's why I look up to her so much in that way because I'm like, I want to be that also to see like how she's how she calculates her pieces, like wow, would you think to put that with that and make it look so good? I know I feel like if I put it on, though, I would look crazy crazy And Zendaya too, like she she dresses that way too. She she can be so girly and cute and casual, and she can also be tomboy,

you know. I I I really love Kate Moss young Kate Moss, like her when she was in her prime when she was young. It's like, oh, it's my everything, right, But yeah, I love fashion so much. It's so fun.
