無私章第七天長地久。天地所以能長且久者，以其不自生，故能長生。是以聖人後其身而身先；外其身而身存。非以其無私邪﹖故能成其私。
第七章：天长地久，天地所以能长且久者，以其不自生，故能长生。是以圣人后其身而身先，外其身而身存。非以其无私邪？故能成其私。
Dì qī zhāng: Tiānchángdìjiǔ, tiāndì suǒyǐ néng zhǎng qiě jiǔ zhě, yǐ qí bù zìshēng, gù néng chángshēng. Shì yǐ shèngrén hòu qí shēn ér shēn xiān, wài qí shēn ér shēn cún. Fēi yǐ qí wúsī xié? Gù néngchéng qí sī.

Nature is complete because it does not serve itself.
The sage places himself after and finds himself before,
Ignores his desire and finds himself content.
He is complete because he does not serve himself.
天长地久。天地之所以能长久，因为它不自贪自益其生，所以能长生。
同理，圣人把自己置于最后，他反而在前；把自身置之度外，他反而长存。这不正是由于他无私，反而成全了他的私吗？
