Episode description

Trust When we cultivate a deeper intimacy with ourself we also cultivate a trustworthiness with ourself and with our body. When trusting the breath to take care of itself we let go of control and relaxation occurs. When trusting that the ears will hear without us interfering we come into a more receptive and open mode of being. Becoming aware that the organs function to our support without us needing to know or control anything we come into a more symbiotic relationship with our body. In this deeper intimacy and connection with ourself we also become more aware of our needs, wants and our intuition. We have a great capacity to know what is good for us and the more we listen to that the more we can come to trust ourself. And the more we trust ourself the less we need to control the external world because we can trust that we will navigate whatever comes and make active choices. A wider sense of trust is of course trusting others. But we don't want to trust naively. There are many people that we truly cannot trust to hold you best interest at heart. And trusting ourself to discern where we place our external trust is the key here. If we don't feel trust in ourselves, we cannot feel safe in trusting others. Trust is the foundation of inner safety and trust starts with connecting to our body and to ourself.
