Episode description
Watching the breath with the seven attitudes of mindfulness
Non-judging - The constant liking and disliking that we do keep us in a push and pull relationship with our experience. Instead, we practise watching the objective reality of our experience without judgement.
Patience - The wisdom to know that some things need time to unfold on their own. Give yourself time to be where you are.
Beginners mind - Experience everything as if it was the first time.
Trust - Developing the basic trust in yourself, your intuition and your own authority. “It is impossible to be like somebody else. Your only hope is to become more fully yourself.”
Non-striving - Mindfulness meditation is not a goal oriented practice. You are not going anywhere, you are already here.
Acceptance - Seeing things as they really are in the moment and accepting it instead of resisting what is already fact.
Letting go - We all have a strong tendency to hold on to some things and to push other things away. Letting go means putting all of that aside and loosening our need for control.
