Episode description

We live in two worlds. The Real world, made of what is actually here, felt through our experience in the present moment. And then there is the dream world of thoughts, existing only in our own mind as an abstraction and interpretation of the Real world. Most of the suffering that we experience in life is created out of this dream world. For example when we worry, we imagine a future that we don’t like, this creates unpleasant feelings in our body and then we react to that as if it was real. And it is real. The reaction to the imagined future is real because the mind can’t tell the difference. But the source, the imagined future, is not real! It was something that the mind made up itself and when we investigate the present moment through our lived experience, this becomes hilariously obvious. So we practice waking up from the dream world of thought and returning back to what is real, and in doing so increase our happiness. Don’t believe what I say, you will not gain anything from that. Instead take it as an invitation to investigate it for yourself. Use your own mind as a laboratory. What do you actually experience?
