Episode description

When I first started on my path of self-exploration I was pretty skeptical of the “listen to your body”-type of messages. To me, my body was there to move me around. If it wasn’t sick and it did what I wanted it to, walk, run, dance, etc, then what more could there possibly be? The fact is that our body is brilliant feedback system that we can use to guide our actions. When we do things that aligns with our needs, the body feels good, when we do the opposite the body feels uncomfortable. For example: Do you recognize that feeling when you’re violating your own boundaries, when you say ‘yes’ even though you want to say ‘no’? The body stiffens before you’ve even thought about an answer. You instinctively know what you want to say, but the mind convinces you otherwise with judgements and explanations. I invite you to nurture your connection with and awareness of your body with the body scan we’ll do today. Listen to your body, it knows you.
