He co-starred in the 2016 Michael Bay film 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, playing Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens. He currently portrays Professor Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash in The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow.
