Welcome to the Sounders FC postmat Show. Sounders FC Sucker is brought to you by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of Seattle Sounders FC. The Sounders FC Postmat Show starts now. I just can't stop laughing. I just I'm just overcome with pure joy and emotion. I don't even know how to start this
thing. Pete Feeling, Jackson Felton Pfing here for the postgame show. Following an absolute historic, historic game that we're going to be talking about for a very long time, the Seattle Sounders gave up two goals in the second half, back to back goals in the sixty sixth minute and the seventieth minute, and heads were down and things not look good at against a team that was six and three on the road going into this season going in tonight, and
then in the seventy eighth minute started quite a run for your Seattle Sounders. First raw Ruy Diez goal header on across from Albert Rusnak that made it two to one. Then ten minutes later there was a Christian rolled on shot that glanced off Obed Vargas saved by pass the Dallas goalkeeper that created a corner, the corner taken by Rusnack headed by Jordan Morris into the back of the net in the eighty eighth minute. That made it too to two, and the
Sounders didn't stop. Referees added six minutes. Looked like there was a handball on Dallas. They later reviewed that. I think there was a handball on Dallas. But the play kept going. The play kept going, Obed Vargas. Then in the ninety fourth minute, maybe the pass of the year for the Seattle Sounders split about three or four Dallas defenders, slid it into Jordan Morris, perfect ball, one on one Jamo with the brace into the back
of the net. And somehow, some way from the seventy seventh minute on your Sounders scored three goals to come back and PFC Dallas three to two. My oh my, what a game tonight here at lumin Field p Fewing. That was absolutely magical. Well it was we jug ourselves a little hole in a four minute window and you thought, oh no, here we go again. And then for Seattle to have the resolve to come back out, I thought the substitutions from Brian brought in good energy. Rowell brought in energy Paul
Rothrock brought in energy and they never gave up on it. And you know, you look and you watch the body language of the bench. They're exploding. They've been waiting for this. You know, it's funny. Right now we're six seven and seven. We started the game in tenth place in the West. Now we're still in tenth place. But that's something to build up with two more home games. Good for the Sounders. You know, you look at your DNA of a team and I said it before the game,
what's the DNA of this season, this group? And that's an important so to come back? And I said it, you know, I said it. I didn't say it out loud until we got to two two. I thought I felt like they could come back for some reason. And and Pause had had a couple of good saves. He got a deflection that he recovered from and pushed it out to the near post. But you know, that's gonna be a tired locker room, and that's going to be a happy locker
room. That's three games this week, right, seven points, yep, And so that's a lot on this squad. But uh, that's a good team win for the Sounders. And now you know, it's the next one that matters, but that's something to build off of and great goals. I'll tell you what. Jordan Morris is header on the corner that goes in anywhere in the world, skims off the post, and that was a clinical finish with guys tracking him down from behind, with no angle pause coming out and
he just tucked it away clean and cool. And that's about the third or fourth one of those we've seen where he's running at the goalkeeper and he just tucks it away. Just amazing. And Jordan's two is the first I believe it's the first corner kick goal of the Sounders season as well. That Jordan headed in there in the eighty eighth minute. There's a lot of things to go over your first time. It's kind of obvious. Tonight's Toyota Man of
the Match is Jordan Morris with the Bryce. Your local Toyota dealers are proud to present tonight's man of the match and also with Jordan Morris's goal to goals multiple goals following the eighty eighth minute of today's match. Sharp Vision Modern lescon
Lens is providing free laser surgery to one lucky fan. For more details on how you can enter to win, visit soundersfc dot com slash laser focus Pete check this out by scoring both the game tying and game winning goals tonight, Jordan Morris, now with sixty goals, passes Freddy Montero for the most regular season goals in Sounders history. Well, isn't that great about? Honestly? The kid from Mercer Island, who's you know, He's gone through two acls,
never given up. There's been times where he hasn't been as clinical this season, but now he's on seven goals this year and you're in rarefied air when you are talking about Freddy Montero and all the goals that he scored. It makes you realize Jordan Moore is at a wonderful career to this moment, and there's more to come, and he is confident. And by the way, this is why Brian Schwetzer put him in the lineup right, this is why he got the start, and this is why he stayed on the field
too. That's the other thing. Yes, that's three games, ninety minutes. That's pretty impressive to me. I mean this is the third game in eight days. Yeah, third start and he goes the distance and scores. I mean, if that wasn't a statement that he's going to be the starter for the foreseeable future striker. Yeah, I don't know what creditla. I mean, Roll's score is great, but Jordan Morris made a hell of a
statement. And yes, you could say, well, Morris got his three goals from the wing, so maybe that's a case to say that Jordan's going to where they come from. But the reality situation is he's going to now continue to start. He's going to continue to get games, and I guess the question is we'll see where that ends up being, if it's on the wing or I mean, listen, it was the same thing that we've seen
from other Jordan goals. The second goal I'm talking about right now, the fact that every time it feels like Jordan gets a goal and he gets behind defenders, he slides in from his winger position, he slides inside and then just drags one of the fullbacks with him and then just boom rushes past the center backs. And credit to obed Vargas. I mean, let's take a moment to stand out obed Vargas for he was standing right around the half midfield
position here and just perfectly slips that ball into Jordan. Yeah. I mean that goal is great, but it's the ball from Obed Vargas that probably deserves the enormous standing ovation That was from the kid. I mean, I don't know who's watching from anywhere else across the globe, but yeah, Obed Vargas has that in him and he's a tremendous young talent. Yeah, we're watching
him grow up. And that was a perfectly weighted pass, the right bend on the ball, there was just a little bit in toward Jordan Morris, so he made it very easy. And you know, a couple of times tonight you see Jordan just almost in the sprinter position saying, hey, play me through, playing me through, play me through. And that's a great you know, that's another step in Ovid Vargas's evolution as a player. Looking
now, he's looking for those balls. He's been sitting next to JP for quite a while watching him do it, and so for him to slip that ball in, that's that is a very very nice assist. And he has to get more of those, right, to keep progressing. He has to get more of us. But that is what it's supposed to look like. And speaking of assists, Albert Rusnak another two assists. I mean he is
on fire right right now. Corner anybody who is a little bit critical of him and you know, needing more from a designated player earlier on, we are seeing him play like a designated player right now. Amazing. Well, the Sounders came back, they were down, oh two, they win three two, they score Let's see if I can do the math. Sixteen minutes, three goals in sixteen minutes and they beat Dallas three to two. Just sensational, and I had that extra great news for the Sounder fans tonight.

We'll continue to react to the three to two wins tonight over Dallas. Next on Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFM. Now back to Sele Sounders Sucker on Sports Radio ninety three point three kjr FL. Just when I think it couldn't get any better, taking care of business plays just always puts me in a good mood. You're driving
around, let me listening to it a rock station. I'll hear the song. Come on. No, just put me in a good mood because it means the Sounders win. Sounders took care of business. They took care of business in sixteen minutes. Sometimes it doesn't matter what time frame you do it. You just gotta do it. They were down two to nothing and he scored three goals from the seventy eighth through the ninety fourth. And in case you missed our first segment and talking about how exactly they capped it off,
let's get to the Emerald. Queen Casino, play the match. You already know what it is. Colmina Ship rosneck Bug, guys, pick it up. Jordan mars Is through one day home with a goalkeeper both dropping back Jordans wait up for the Sounders. What a comeback in the crowd up on their feet. We've not heard this in lumin Field for quite some time. It sound as magic once again. Sound is Stree. That was the play of the Mattress, presented by Emerald Queden Casino, the betting capital of the Northwest.
Danny. Danny went the direction that I was. I was teasing you in the break, I was gonna go here the crowd, and we talked about the crowd and pregame of being into it, and I felt like even down to nothing it was. It was quieter, for sure, but it just it. I didn't see people leaving, and I think when I said something, it didn't look like everybody was headed to their cars. In the
seventy fifth minute, people were staying. And you felt when Raoul got that header there in the seventy eighth minute, you could you could feel a buzz. It wasn't it wasn't like, Okay, that's one. The buzz picked up and that crowd, the energy of the fans tonight, we were behind a glass window up here in the booth and we weren't even in the direct air, and we could still feel it the crowd tonight. Everybody listening to this who was in the crowd, round of applause to you. Y'all did
an amazing job and clearly this team fed off you guys tonight. Yeah, I think, Brian, so we'll talk about that. I think you'll talk about the fact that the team never gave up. This is the DNA of this team since two thousand and nine. They don't quit and so and again, really nice goals, good goals, not lucky goals. They had. Seattle had created probably five or six chances. You showed me expected goals. We were double them when we were down, when we were down to nothing.
And so for the team to not give up, for the fans to not give up, that's a good win. And now two more games Chicago and then New England here this is an opportunity to really jump and get up the table. Great goals and Jordan Morris that's seventh goal of the year, but that's his first brace, right, that's his first two goal game.
And then Albert Russnik now on nine assists. Those are the numbers that we expect from him when he came to us from RSL, so a lot of good things about tonight, and they got a whole week to prepare for the next one, and we finished with just over half. We'll overseeing or more than double dallas unexpected goals since you brought out that stat point five to five, two point seven there for Dallas, they got two goals and that first goal they got. We don't even need to talk about Dallas. I don't
even want to talk about Dallas's two goals. All I want to think about is the three that Seattle got in the final sixteen to win this thing. Three too. What a comeback if you're just joining us, The Sounders pulled off a miracle tonight, three goals in the final sixteen minutes to win this three to two after going down to nothing on goals in the sixty sixth and seventieth. Pete, you mentioned Brian Schenzer. I mean, you know him
so well. What does he do in that locker room here following this game? What kind of things does he say to the players. I think he walks around and shakes hands, looks everybody nice, his good job. I don't think I think he doesn't make a not too high, not too low. But I think he walks around and congratulates everybody. I think he goes to Jordan Morris, he goes to Ovid. I think he goes around the room and says, hey, I love that you never gave up. Look
around at your teammates. These are the guys this team win today. Raul, good for you for being a great leader, coming in and helping Paul Rothrock. Good for you for bringing that energy when you came in. Danny Massovski, good shift right to get us going with the game. Christian Goods
Frey came up with a couple of good saves, very important. So I think he goes around the room and gives it to everybody, but he doesn't make a big deal of it, because this is what he expects from his team, and he's gonna remind them that this is this is how we do it here. And now we got Chicago's fifteenth in the East with four wins coming in and that he will be nervous about that. He gets as nervous about a team that's at the bottom of the table as he does the top.
So I think he goes around and gives kudos where kudos are deserved, but I don't think he makes a big dramatic production of it, but I think his words are going to be poignant. All right, Well, we'll talk about Chicago coming up here in the next segment. I'll tell you that Sounders FC Soccer is presented by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders FC.
We'll talk about Chicago coming up and what's next for the Sounders. It is a group that is feeling real good right now after a three to two comeback win over Dallas. More next, Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFM. Now back to Seattle Sounders Sucker on Sports Radio ninety three point three kjr
FM. Welcome back to the postmatch show. If you're just joining us, your Seattle Sounders found themselves down two in the seventy seventh minutes, but goals from our hole in the seventy eighth, Jordan in the eighty eighth and Jordan again in the ninety fourth got the Sounders a massive, incredible three to two
comeback win tonight. We actually just got word from our buddy Diego Audioa who did the Spanish call on MLS Season Pass, that there was a ninety point one percentage chance that Dallas would win after they went up to nothing ninety point one. And in the words of our good engineer Terry Ryan, so much for analytics because that was turned on its head. That's why we stay,
right, That's why you stay and watched the whole game. If everybody's looking at their phone saying ninety one percent, then all of a sudden, the stateiument empties out. But this is why we come to the game. If we knew the outcome, then people wouldn't be as interested. But yeah, I love Jordan Morris's response after he scored, because you know the six goals he scored so far, the header that he got today was a great goal.
But he's he's very reserved, right and this one he ran straight to the corner, went to the crowd and he was jumping up and down. He's fired up and I like to see that energy. He's a cool cucumber most of the time when he scores, but that one brought a lot of energy from him and should have been. That was a really Both his goals tonight go in anywhere in the world. Yep. Let's say you look ahead at what's next for your sounders, and that's gonna be no midweek match.
We'll be back for Sounders weekly here on ninety three point three kjr FM, seven pm talking about this dramatic three to two win. But then the next game is going to be on Saturday, June twenty ninth. Sounders will be right back here at Luomenfield facing the Chicago Fire. Pete, you talked about how far they are down in the Eastern Conference. Right now now, folks, you can watch the match by MLST Season Pass on the Apple TV app.
You know, also listen right here Sports Radio ninety three point three kjr FM, also l RAY thirteen sixty in Spanish. The Providence Swedish premat show right here ninety three point three will start at seven pm next Saturday, one week from tonight. And it's one of those games where it's sort of like Dallas, you can't overlook him. It's gonna be a hungry team coming in. They gotta stay, you know, on their on their toes. But we look at this and then New England afterwards, you know, both all
home games. This should be nine points for your Sounders. They got the first three to nights. Don't say that should listen I speak from a fan yeah, I am. I am the fan, and as a fan driving around I look at poor teams in Dallas and Chicago and New England, and as a fan, I say to myself, you get nine points from these and you start sliding up the table. So that's what I'm saying as a fan. Yeah, I got your coach though, that's it that Brian would
be, you know, backing up quite quickly on that one. But yeah, but you know Chicago's going to come in here right now. They're four nine and six, I think you said, and if they have to park the bus and if they want to get one point, I mean they're at the bottom right now, and so they're looking for any way that they can have some success. A point on the road at Seattle is you know,
something that you can sort of build on, I guess. But if Chicago comes in and gets an early goal, that's going to make it for a long night. So what we saw in the last few minutes of this one will be a great way to start, and then you turn around. You've got New England after that, and New England I think they are what they're six ten and one, and I think they are about tenth toughyer for Caleb Porter and his group. So it's an opportunity, but you got to go
one half at a time for the next two games. But wouldn't it be great to pick up nine points in three games? We haven't done that all year. This is the third time this season we've scored three or more goals and that's a little bit below what are a norm. Right, three games, eight days, seven points. Feeling pretty good about it as a Sounder. Have a massive comeback win tonight here at Luminfield. Three goals in the final sixteen minutes, a Roul and Jordan times two and the Sounders win three
to two. I want to thank everybody with the broadcast today, great call and cray highlights from Danny Jackson and Brad Evans, Terry Ryan here on side, andrews Hurst back in the studio, mister Pete, feeling great to work with you, sir.
