Welcome to the Sounders FC pre mat show presented by Providence Swedish tonight from the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumenfield, your Seattle Sounders FC based LAFC. Tonight's match is presented by Regent's BlueShield, where you'll feel supported every step of the way together we held the Providence Swedish premad show starts now well. After surviving a formidable FC Dallas in a three match round one thriller, the Raid Green
square up against the Black and Gold Western Conference rival LAFC. The Boys down South are the defending MLS Cup champs and are looking for their first playoff victory against your Seattle Sounders. That's right, they've never actually beaten us in the
playoffs, which is incredible. LAFC or two against Seattle in postseason play, one of those matches head coach Brian Schmetzer has called the best Sounders performance ever back in twenty nineteen when we defeated LAFC three to one at their house. You guys remember that game, I do. That was a confrontation in the then the in the in the in the gates, going back. But yes,
yeah, that was memorable. It was a great win. Seattle played very well and I don't think it was expected by the league or by the la fans. Great win for funny story about that actually, and before I introduce you, guys, the league was not expecting the Sounders to win that game. So when they came to show their presentation for how they were going to host MLS Cup on their power point, it's at la FC on everything. Yeah, yeah, that's a funny story. That just reminded me of
that. Yeah. Speaking of who's with me in the booth right now? First of all, we have head coach Pete Fewing. Pete, good to see you, Great to see you, Thanks for having me. And so I have a couple of accolades for you, Marcus. Before I introduce you, I had current pilot Frontiersman Firefighter now well almost I'm two weeks away. And of course Sounders legend Marcus Hanneman. Marcus, good to see you. Yeah, good to see you, guys. It's excited to be here.
What a great night. One game and that's the fun of these right, the fact that Dallas was a little bit drawn out with three games, right, but to come in the team knows it is it training yesterday. You can tell that they're ready to go. They just want to. They want that whistle to blow, and they want to. They know it's ninety minutes, maybe some overtime, maybe penalty kicks if it keeps going. But yeah, it's one in advance and those are the pressure makes it that much better.
So Danny Jackson, Brad Evans and Michelle Luca will have the call in just under twenty five minutes. Reminder for tonight's match winner moves on to the conference final on December second and will host against Houston, who earlier today defeated Scorning Kansas City one mil. In regulation, this is a single elimination game. If the match is tied after ninety minutes, there will be two extra
fifteen minute halves and if the match is still tied, penalty kicks. Now, before we get into the starting eleven taken in, guys, the atmosphere, we already saw Buddy the ELF coach viewing. How does talk to us? How's the building? How's the vibes? You know? How does it feel to be a player down there? Warming up? Right now? Well,
I mean, this is this is what it's all about. You know, it's such a long season, right when you start this preseason training back in the middle of way Jewy, Yeah, January third, right, and you know it all comes down to this and everything that you've been training for all season and you know you're you're playing to get into the playoffs and then can you have your best team ready to go? Right? And now we've got you know, uh, we've got some older guys sitting on the bench,
right, so we've got some experience. You know, we've got some younger guys out there who are who are going to you know, basically you know, leading this team now, which is a big change from how we in the beginning of January, how we thought this was going to roll out. We never thought we'd see Ladero and Rui Diaz on the bench at this point. But you know, we're gonna have that powerhouse of Rui Diaz to
come in and you know, there's not too many goal scorers. I know, uh Huwanga might scare a few people, but Ruiy Diaz, he's got that accolade. And then Ladero, who can pass, you could find the pass anyway. Yeah, well a ten assists for Nico, so we've got weapons on the bench. I like the lineup that he's coming out with. I think Brian's had to make hard decisions. To leave two dp's on the bench is difficult to get everybody to buy into that is difficult. He's got
that now. Everybody's ready for this game. And then we also have the bench that can come out and in every spot can keep the standards very, very high. So i'd say, you know, there was a theme a few years ago, built for this. They are built for this playoff run. And the way the league is gone with a two week break for international games, I think that that actually is. It's been long, but I think it's put Seattle in a spot where they're ready for this game, and
it's kind of put it all out there right now. But we're not limping into this at all. We're not banged up too much, and so put the ball out. Let's get going, coach. I love that you mentioned built what is built? Built this, built for this? Yeah? So built for this was the marketing slogan from twenty nineteen when we want Cup.
Yeah, this year's is together as one, which I think is very apt considering we have two dps who have put their egos aside and are able to be on the bench, and if, as we've talked to coach Schmetzer has, they've both completely bought in at this point in the season. Well, they're competitors, right, So it's you know, the first time Nico came off the bench in the last regular season game, the question was, what's he going to do when he comes out? Is he gonna is he gonna
just roll around and be moody. No, he wanted on the field. And he got thirty minutes in that one, and then he got twenty in the next one, and he said to coach, hey, i'd want twenty. I want thirty, right, I want thirty to thirty five if you get me as many minutes as you can. But you can see when and Ruy Diaz is an extreme competitor, so when he goes on the field, he's playing for this team, but he also knows he needs to score goals
and wants to score goals. So the guy's coming off the bench. Firepower Wise can do it. Freddy Monterro can do it. If we need to close out a game as well. Well, we talked about the bench. Now let's get into the delta. Starting eleven, Coach you have the Sounders lineup for US. Yeah, in goal, Stephen Frye knew who is your left back? Alex Roldan your right back. Gomez, Andrati and Reagan are your center backs. In front of that back group is JP, Jael Paulo
and Josh Atensio. On the right hand side is Christian rolled On. On the left hand side Leo Chew. Albert Rusnek will sit right underneath Jordan Morris. So for LAFC, we got Crimpoo goal, Marillo, Belasios, Killini, Haulings, Head, Sanchez, Tillman, Acosta, Bella, Olvera and bu Wanga up top. So no surprises, I believe on either lineup. Guys, what are your first impressions. I thought he might there's rumors that Kielini might not start. He's thirty nine years old, they're playing on turf.
Jordan Morris is faster than Hauling said, and Kilini thought maybe Long would be in there. Aaron Long the former Sounder and US national team players. So I liked that he went with Kiellini though You've got a very very savvy, experienced, composed center back. But for Jordan Morris, boy, he's faster than both their center backs and Bowog upfront. Twenty goals, seven assists.
I mean he's good and Vilas is not the player he was when he came into the LAFC a couple of years ago, but give him a chance. He's dangerous. He's got nine goals, twelve assists. It's pretty darn good. So they've got a group. I think Schmidtz is going to try to keep the ball away from Bowonga and on occasion he wants to double him up. Well, good news. We're going to about dive into our provident Swedish team health report and we have no one questionable and the only one out
is to Soco with a quad strain. Otherwise, Brian Schmetzer has everyone available, which is what you want to see at the end of a season. And I think we talked about this before. The Sounders are really hitting their stride at exactly the right time. We're about twenty five minutes away here from kick at the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at lumen Field. Guys, put on your Schweitzer glasses and p I know that you just got new rubber glasses from old lab home depot, so put on your home depot glasses. I guess what's the game plan to come out tonight against LAFC. What do we need to do to, you
know, stop this powerful attack of you know guys down south. Well, I mean I think I just watch again the highlights from Buanga this this season and the twenty goals he scored, and there's not one thing you could pinpoint. He's got speed, he's got a shot from outside, and if you give him any inch of space. He will pick up the rebounds. I mean, he's got forget about the penalties. He's always seems to be in that right spot. So he's got the tools up there. So that's something
that Schwetz is definitely talking about. Right. Can our back for handle that for sure? But it's gonna be it's gonna be a test tonight just with him alone. And this is a strong LAFC team. Yeah, I think you gotta you've got to keep the ball away from him as much as possible. They're gonna try to force him out of position as often as possible. How they do that those were his coach s Metzer's words. Going to try to keep him on the opposite side of the ball, uh, and then
they will have to double him, you know. And this is a great chest. I think Jackson Reagan has come so far since his first year, you know, not giving up the fouls unnecessarily. But he's gonna have to be really sharp and he's gonna have to have help, right, Alex Roldon's job today is to get out quick, stand him up and wait for support. So not dive in, but try to go defend in numbers and you know, they've got a center back hauling head. He's got four goals,
he's big center back. So restarts are very important the first twenty minutes of the game. Whoever comes out first with you know, some quality may win the game. You know, if you go back to the the I think it was twenty fifteen, it was Portland at Columbus. Thirty nine seconds into the game. Columbus school keepers trying to play it out of the back and Bleb runs in or Vlarry runs in blocks it. They end up winning two zero. So La hasn't played in three weeks. Seattle hasn't played in two
weeks. Right, they did have an inter squad game last sight Sunday for sixty minutes. So who's gonna come out and rust and get the rust off them right away? Our flanks are very important. Rolld On's the two, roll do On's on the right, Morris or two on the leaf? Excuse me? With new who so we're gonna have and then it's quality, right, the great cross that knew who gave in on Morris's header a couple of weeks ago. Right, we need that kind of quality. So who's gonna
come out and perform? Marcus is right, belong upfront, super dangerous. You can't you can't just say force some left to force him right, and he's not just dangerous inside the six yard box. Seattle has to play great. We got fifteen shoutouts. We need sixteen. The first sorry, healing, but the first the first five minutes, in the last five minutes of
the half, right, those are always so key. But on a game like today, where it's gonna be all or nothing, right and you know the momentum, you wouldn't be surprised to see, you know, the first team just lump the ball off into the corner, right. I mean, that's what everybody does because they don't want to let that team get an inch inch of ground, right, and they want to put them under pressure because
that first five minutes are so vital, all right. Well, Tonight's opponent outlook was presented by Sharp Vision Modern Lescan Lenz, the official lasak provider at Sounders FC. Stephan Fries kept us in the in numerous games, right and you know all you know, the one of the greatest saying in Sounder's history that we all talk about right in the final and Stephan is going to have to keep us in the game with the
with the back four. I would like to say Jordan Morris, but we are a very good team when Christian Roldan is leading to charge and he's had great efforts against LAFC. It's odd, I think, to take a guy that's on the right side of the field, but he's just such a powerful presence when he's on the field and he's leading, and so for me, it's I want to see Jordan Morris get his goals. I want to see him take on Halling said and keig Leani, but I think it's Alex Christian
Roldan. I think he's got to take this game by the horns and make sure he has an impact on the game, both offensively and defensively. Can I just say it's kind of a jump scare for me anytime someone says kei leanie, because I think they're about to say kee and it's starting to like weird me out a little bit. I don't know if everyone here heard that, but the whales sounds have begun. The teams are beginning to walk out
big game winner, take all guys. I'm so excited. Yeah, this is, this is why we play, right, this is We're three games from winning an MLS Cup. There'd be the third MLS Cup, but you got to get through this one to get to the next one. But yeah, this is and it's as Marcus said earlier, this season started a long time ago. January third was the first practice, So they've grinded for a
long time to get to this place. They want to make sure that they finished this campaign of the twenty twenty three season, and everything's to play for and you're playing against a team that you've had some great games with in a short window of time. LAFC has not been in the league that long, but it's La. Brian Switzer said it a couple of times yesterday. It's La. It's Los Angeles, so great opportunity. We got to keep moving

Together we help Sounders. FC Sucker is brought to you by Provident, Swedish official healthcare partner of Seattle Sounders FC. Now time for Sounders FC Sucker. Good evening, soundest fans and welcome to our brisk EQC pitch at lumen Field for this the Western Conference semifinal between your Sounders and LAFC. LFC are reigning MLS champions are finding form at the most important time of the season. A convincing series win versus Vancouver in the first round sets up this match between
two MLS powerhouses. With Talisman and Goldenboot winner Denny Bowoga leading the front line, LAFC are formidable in the attacking third and will lean on this talent to erase the scars of their stinging conference final loss to the Sounders in twenty nineteen.
For Brian Schmittz's men, they come into this match with only one loss in their last twenty two an unbeaten in nineteen playoff games at Lumanfield dating back to twenty fourteen, with sixteen clean sheets on the season and a league best defense, the Sounders of the tools to nullify the LAFC attack, but it will take the full team for the full ninety to get the win. This has all the trappings of a championship game, big time players, winning franchises,
and a stadium packed to the rafters. My name is Danny Jackson alongside former Sounders captain Brad Evans for the call tonight. There's Carlos Fayer in his number ten, the talisman four LAFC four goals for Sounders and in his history, the only player remaining from that twenty nineteen defeat. He stands over the ball. LAFC decked out in all black black shirts, black shorts and socks.
They're attacking the goal to our right the south end, and the Sounders in their green shirts, blue shorts and green socks attacking the goal to our left the north end. As Carlos Fayer gets us going, we'll get to those lineups. As Sands picks the ball up a little bit of pressium, Jordan Morris knocks down the line good headed by Bo what I knew, who
are just in front of the Sounders bench. Holling's head a brace of goals against Vancouver in the first round in the opening game, after a flying start flicked up by veya headed clear up in the egg flected by Atensior flicks it towards this near side the left as new comes in, clipped up in the air by Christian gold Arm. We're gonna see a lot of speed and powers
both these teams get settled into this game. Kilini shifts it across the palacios, good high pressed by the Sounders. But Brad, you've been in these games before. You've been in this atmosphere feel special tonight? What do the team have to do in this first fifteen minutes. Yeah, I've been in these situations many, many times, and there's nothing like coming in here. There's just a different energy and you can feel it. You can hear it.
When it's the boom boom clap. That's when you know it's gonna be a crazy night here in Seattle. But the Sounders have to come out on the front foot. You cannot allow LAFC to get into a rhythm tonight because we know every team left in the playoffs is a good team, and especially this even with its pedigree in LAFC, they can put some hurd on you. So the Sounders have to come out be smart early on. If the
ball's gotta go, it's gotta go. We'll get oppressed by VEYA loose ball by step and Fry goes out for a throwd on this near side the LAFC right ten yards from the corner flaight hits is by Stephan Frying the golf sixteen clean sheets on the season for the Sounders goalkeepers. The ball goes down the line, collected by Jpe being strong and the Sounders midfield all season coming back from acl injury. Flicked around the corner, whereas that has an opportunity to
pick it up, he does, drives forward cross off way line. Jordan Morris makes a run chop down, but the ball goes Cilio too this near side the left goes down by Mario. Little jiggle of the hips by shoe top of the box to attention strike the left foot. It'd save by Crippo as Mario goes down, makes a good tackle on chew On the follow up and clears his lines, whereasn't avea collected well by the LAFC Number ten chopped down by Alex rolled On. I'm with that for the first time this evening.
We're gonna throw it down to Michelle Good Evening, Michelle Good evening, Danny. I really hope the microphone is picking up all the booze in the crowd. Right now after that call, we have got a packed house. The fans are here. The energy is already going on and it's adding to the atmosphere completely, which is being balanced out by the cold tonight. It's being clocked in at forty one degrees currently feeling more like forty five degrees,
which is good news because obviously it's harder to play in colder tempts. We all know that the field crews spray down the pitch prior to match and then again at halftime, and so when it gets down even colder, it can add kind of an icy layer on top which can cause the ball to skip. But that's currently not the case. As I said, it is in the forties here tonight. I asked Jordan Morris about the weather and he said he loves playing in this temperature because it means it's playoff time. Back to
you guys, it is playoff time. A little crisp in the air, blue skies and sunshine all day, crepping ourselves for this game. Apple Cup yesterday in the cl area won by you Dubs, last second field goal. See if the Sounders can follow that win with one themselves. As the Pelasios left back for LAFC plays at square to veya a little ball into Acosta clips it to Keolini experience Italian center back out a contract towards the end of the
year, Jordan Morris picks up good little bull flicks around the corner. Can he get past Kioliti? Towards the top of the box and he's a casaved by Crapo's a chance for Jordan Morris early in this game, but Bratt, that's the chance that Jordan Morris needed that speed through the back and couldn't quite
get it over Crepo and the golf. Well, it took the Sounders two minutes just to get the ball in Lafc's defensive half, and when they did it was a great chance from Atensio and then just a good build up out of the back. It's a soft ball from Kiolini played into Bouwanga and that's the matchup you want. You want Jordan Morris against Kiolini any day of the
week. It's he's gonna bow buy him every single time. And it's a fantastic first touch around Mario and then it's a hole on foot race and Jordan comes from five ten yards behind Kiolini and still gets a shot off and what a fantastic say from Kropota to get his left hand up there about that one
away you can see Jordan just shaking his head. Chiliman drives across the six yard box, flickton by Lac headed clear by Atensio, just finds the feet of Pelasios fast side the left, comes back to a Costa thirty yards from Gold tries to drive it to this near site. Chouns by Atensio and then JP wide open game so far and we'll get you that delta starting eleven right
now. No changes for Brian Schmittz and Stefan Freuen Gold back for roll don Yemar Reagan knew who josh A Tensio alongside JP in the middle, Christian Roldan on the right, Albert Rosneck in the ten, Leo Chwo on the left, and then Jordan Morris as we just mentioned in the middle. As at number nine. Chilman plays all the way back to Crapo of course, got
injured MLS Cup last year. Just getting himself back into the team after McCarthy had started much of the season in Gold certainly made big time safe there against Jordan Morris. Foot ball gets switched cut out by JP assist man for Rosnek in that clinching game against Dallas in the first round, Faya picks it up, swings it to the far side the left. Pelaciof picks it up ten yards in from his left back position to a Costa. Both teams just finding
their feet, high energy, high tempo. So far full house as we men shoued, not a seat to be seen. Lower ball standing as always packed shoulder to shoulder. If it's Christmas in the air, chill in the air, will certainly feel warm down in those stands. Costa has it, plays it to Keiolini and support high from his left left center back spot comes into Boulanga just over the top. Good little combination by Vya goal kick.
Sounders remains nil nil. Now this is where you have to be aware of LAFC gaining position in the in the Sounders defensive half and Killini coming up all the way up the field. But where that starts as Vella picks up the ball at half field and JP allows him to turn and get possession. I think if you have Vella back to goal, you have to continue to press until he gives that ball up and plays backwards, but instead allowed to play.
Vella picks it up and it's a decent chance for LAFC. Leo two has it with ball from Bresnik. Good ball by JP, first round with
his left foot. Just the ludes knew who over his head could be a throwing fourth LAFC says, get the LAFC lineup Crep Bowen goal, a back fourth hollingshead, Mario Keiolini and Palasios, a midfield three of Tillamuann, Sanchez and Acosta, and an attacking three of Oliver Ea, the new signing from August, the Uruguayan cars Veja, and then Denny Bowonga, the golden boot winner for MLS this year, thirty six goals in twenty twenty three, fourth
in the world, three behind Harry Kane. Level with them, buppet as the Sounders have it with Christian roll Dan. We'll see how if Alex Rodan pushes up early in this game. Denny Bowonga plays on the left hand side nine goals and one assist in his last five games. Because there's that man, Alex roll Dan picks it up, comes inside to a tensio, clips towards the back post. We'll chess confidently by Colling's head. Let's preypo dies
on it. If you get here in the eighth minute Sounders nil l e f C nil nine fifty am. Where are you listening to us home in the car? Thanks for joining on this must win night for the Sounders Conference Western Conference Semifinals. It's l e f C, the raining MLS Cup champions. The Sounders pick it up middle of the field JP with a pressurevey eleven men behind the ball. See what has just managed be a bit of tempote on the back line. As they launch it with Jackson Reagan goes over the
head of Alex Roldan. It's gonna be a thrown for LAFC. Tonight's match is presented by Regent's Blue Shield, where connection is at the heart of a healthy life. Regions Blue Shield Together we health So, Brad, eight nine minutes gone? Is that were you expected this first period of the game. Yeah. Look, we've watched a number of playoff games so far and it's been a little bit hectic. But these are two teams that love to play, and they're two fast teams that are gonna get after you and try to
put you under pressure. And this has been a lightning start here tonight. This is exactly what you want out of a playoff game. We'll shoulders shoulder between Knew Who and the new signing Olivera. As we mentioned often, Knew Who one of the very best defenders in a one v one situation, but Olivera's showing all his youthful exuberance. Doesn't care no caulblem going one to b one against new Who, and Newho does give him a little shove. If we look at a replay, two hands in the back, the free kick
for LAFC. These are the points in these games that are so pivotal. The Sounders have two good chances early on that should be possibly in the back of the net. The second one for sure, Jordan will be ruined that one. But then you give up a free kick on the back end. You don't have that patty. You cannot give Carlos Vella anything within five yards of the eighteen yard box because we know how deadly he is in his service.
Carlos Faya with the ball, he's gonna be an inswinger with his left foot, sixteen yards from the end line, just pinched in from this near touch line, Sounders holding their line, eight yards from Stephan Fry's goal. It comes curled in, punched away by Stephen Fry, just knocked it down and hooked away by Albert Roznek, collected by Pelasios just inside the LAFC half of the field, and he's gonna go all the way back to Crapo.
As a Sounders step up launched along to this near side Jacks and Reagan lets it bounce theeple Wong a little bit of pressure. It's able to find JP, which a little turned by JP head up, try to find options. Alex rolled on wide on the right, the tents, who has really established himself alongside JP in the middle of the park, certainly deserving bred of his position in the middle. Yeah, I mean you can see what the sounders are trying to do right now, and you have to isolate. One of
the number six is to switch the point of attack and combine. This is what they're doing here right switching the ball back and forth. You can see Jordan lined up right on Kiolini where his neck drive forward gets it back from Chew just top of the box left of center to JP. Utenso in support. Yama hand up on the right hand side. Alex roldan wide right eventually
collects it from JP. No real pressure, eventually it comes LAFC just rotate their attacking three they on this right hand side for one within in the middle now orl the bear on that left gets some where he gets a little bit of pressure from Tilman has to go all the way back to Steph and Fry. The Sounders FC Soker is presented by Providence, official healthcare partner of Sounders
FC JP. Middle of part just finds Gama for Sounders league best record thirty two goals against in regular season, Gamar being one of the finalists for Defender of the Year. Clashapotters. We'll see Amar putting his hands up in the air, showing a little bit of innocence. It looks like you gotta put under a little bit of pressure and Gamar reaches out with the left hands have caught him in the face, but it's not intentional by any means. He's
smarter than that. He comes under pressure here, makes a little shimmy shake, puts his hand up in a coast sells it. Yeah, he catches one on the face. But even if that goes to review, it's nothing, It's harmless, nothing more than a free kit. We'd assume ted uncle, experienced referee just pushing away some of the LFC players, including captain Veaya's got a pull Amar side. To go back to your point on intensio and
what he was able to do this year as a young players. He got a fantastic started, scored a heck of a goal here in Seattle, and then got a growing injury the next week. And as a young player, how difficult is it to be out of the lineup, try to get healthy, You have a couple setbacks, and then all of a sudden you find yourself back in the lineup towards the end of the season, and sometimes you expect that little drop up. But he's done nothing but progress and show that
he belongs to be in there to support JP. And he's the guy that's
gonna stretch him behind. We talked about it in Dallas. He can unlock defense and I think you're still going to see the best out of him in years to come because he's got the size, he's got the ability to run, and now it's that finishing product of being that fifth extra runner in behind to unlocked defenses and just composure on the ball as that l ABC build at Kihleanni left turn of Snike comes back to Mario sounds put a bit at high
press Rusnak go to press craper and the gold comes in its week and left foot launches it long fast sight challenged by Alex royldn bounce it back towards Kiolani, hooks it down the line. The sound is you're able to clean it up. Good feet by Jackson Reagan just eludes Boulonga's pressure, finds a tensia. Sound is just look comfortable possession. Two weeks off for the sound is since that last game against Dallas due to the international break. Three weeks off
for LAFC after putting away Vancouver in two games. Where's neck rolls it a plus a choot intercepted by hollings Head. It just was a fine Olivera as they get figured out with the on the sideline with the Sounder sir, we're
gonna throw it down to Michelle. Thank you. Danny. You were saying how the Sounders finished the season tied for fewest goals allowed with thirty two this year, and that just adds to the fun and the competition tonight that we see in this matchup, because essentially we have the league's best defense in Seattle going against one of the best offenses in the league in LAFC. You mentioned the Golden Boot winner Buanga, but also LAFC has had the second most amount
of goals in the West with fifty four this year. And so if this rivalry that's developed over the last couple of years could get any fiercer, these two teams could not be more evenly matched. Yeah, Michelle, I think our Ango left LAFC last year, went south and eventually came back to RSL. I was a big loss. But for somehow somewhere they found Bowonga. There's been a revelation in MLS since he arrived at the beginning of this season.
So Sounders built middle of the park with Reagan to JP just low blocked by LAFC, A little bit of pressure out by Boowonga's He tries to press JP and Atensio just contention to let the Sounders have it, keeping their half for the field. This copyrighting audio casts of Major League Soccer may not be retransmitted, reproduced, or rebroadcast without the express written consent of Major League Soccer. He tries to find the ball down the line cut up by combiny chef
Tillman and Hollin's head. Said uncle puts the listen to his mouth, throwing for the Sounders comes in quickly give it away as lets buy. Sanchez launched long down the channel Oliveri his speed, just showing that ability to run.
Vea certainly has had his best years behind him in some ways, but flanked by combination of bo Wangre and Olivera in that speed power, Hema has it steps forward across the half way line finds Alex Roldan AO the quietly effective season by Alex Roldan, who talked about the tweaks of Bryan Schmidtz's tactics this year, playing Alex Roldan a little higher and wider on that right hand side, pinching in new I was playing as a three and the defensive side of it.
When they have the ball that allows Alex Roldan to push high and has certainly been effective on that right hand side. He continues to get involved with Russneck really establishing himself in that number ten. Now, let's not forget two of those dynamic players for the Sounders of all those years, all those games against LAFC, the success that Raouls had, the success that Koloderis had.
Both players sitting on the bench and are ready to come in and do that part Brian Schmitzer needs to all comes in square JP thirtyos from goal right at center A little bit of pressure by Tilman, goes to the right hand side, cut back to Atensi on top of the box, a little loose on the first touch back to Alex Roldan, flicked up by Palacios and that's gonna
be a corner cake for the Sounders. Remains, no, no, Well, that's good patients from the Sounders. And not often do you see teams come in here in a playoff game and sit in twenty five yards really making it difficult. It's four three to three for LAFC when they sit back and it's all about patients. They are baiting the Sounders to make that one bad
pass and they're relying on their speed to break at the right time. So those good patients by the Sounders a good twenty twenty five passing sequence there to eventually earn a corner kick JP the farst side the Right's gonna be an outswinger with his right foot. It sounded just patted in on that peak Case Bock top of the six yard bucks Jordan Morris. Just a couple of odds crap where the LFC goal kid comes in the top corner of the sixth kid.
Well by LAFC, little loose one to pass by Ali. Barrow is able to picked up by this sounds back to JP whips it in with his right foot. Hell of I Jackson Reagan just over the top goalkick sound is Actually it's gonna be a corner cake for the Sounders and a good opportunity by the big sound a center back. Oh, this is a game of turn of turnovers and taking those chances. The Sounders actually had a good sequence before the previous corner kick, and it was a long ball that was cleared. LAFC
clears their lines. That's the time to get on top of LAFC. The same thing there they pick up the ball on top of the box. All of a sudden, three LAFC players are out of the picture and the Sounders get a great opportunity. Rouznak this time on the left eye side in swinger with his right foot headed up and away by Faya on that front corner to six job Books then pressed by Bowonga Bull gets hooked up over the crossbar. It's gonna be a goalkick for LAFC. Here in the nineteenth minute it remains
nil milk. Well this holiday season spend like it matters by shopping at local small businesses. Go to intentionalists dot com to find businesses near you. Certainly the marquee matchup of these semifinals seeing some results come through already. All three games other than this one had the moment Columbus winning down in Orlando, two Nils, Cincinnati getting a win against Philadelphia one goal to nil, and then
Houston just earlier getting a one nil win against Kansas City. LAFC have it on this near side the right, Olivera eighteen yards from the end line back to Veya tries to find a little run by hollins Head. Now a little bit of pressure from Olivera, but uncomfortable right now by the Sounder's left but asking for the found nothing given, goes down to the deck, slides in, wins the ball and also gets a piece of Olivera. Collins Head on
that right hand side got crunching shod. I knew who an early yellow card for the Sounders left back. Now they say take either the ball or the player, and in that case, I think knew who got bold and they put him themselves under pressure there when intensial and knew who go up for the initial header and they knew Who has to make a last ditch effort to get back, and it's certainly a yellow card challenge, especially after the first one
that he gave away early in this game. The referee just kind of saying, hey, no more, all right, So this is where new Who's got to be really careful. You want one of your best defenders already with a yellow card twenty minutes into this game. If I'm a right forward, right midfielder, I'm going at him all night long. Well, knew Who had arguably his best game for the Sounders in that first game against Dallas, and then came back and had one of his poorer games in that second game,
with an early yellow card in that game. So early yellow card for new Who against a lively olive Ra, there's gonna be theya five yards from the end line in swing with his left foot, Leo Chou sending ten yards away. The Sounders line up just since the six yard box to defend Stephen Fry's goal. We know the quality of Veyer as he flicks it towards that near post, flicks to the top of the box, hacked away eventually by
the Sounders and Jackson Reagan to a Costa heads it up. Quick snapshot by Olivera goes wide of Sepher and Fry's goal is gonna be a goal kick for Sounders remains no nilk and the Sounders get it back in quickly, not waiting around here. Two weeks off, As Bryce Schmiittz has said, players the second tide of listening. So the coaches, I just want to get out and play. So far it's been up and down I tempo to this Gamers intensia plays it down the line. Christ she rolled on back to his brother
Alex. Knock down the lion. To Jordan Morris, he said, let it going around Maria, who's always experiences flick it off the Sounders. Number thirteen's shins. We are thrown for LAFC farside the left. Well, we're twenty minutes into this game. At Lao two touch the ball maybe twice.
The Sounders have to do a better job of isolating Leo Chew, and it might be a game plan by LAFC to say, hey, we're gonna force everything down right the right side channel because when the ball does turn over, it goes straight to Buwanga and that's where LAFC wants to be in their best position forward and the Sounders really favoring that right hand side because Kiolini is also playing left center back and that's where Jordan wants that matchup. But if the
matchup's there, you got to make something of it, right. You can't. It can't just be going side to side all the time. We gotta get Jordan in behind at some point. That will unlock Leo Chew a little bit more as well. We talked about it a little bit of lack of speed in the back line. We've play the ball over the top, it will drop the Kilani Mario potentially leaves that space available for Russneck chow and rolled
on. Thenny Bowong has seven touches on the game so far. They've been too involved because we've seen in games pass certainly in the last five games prolific in the attacking third of the field. We'll get whipped into Jordan Mar's good ball top of the controls. It plays it close, Christian well done, cuts it to Russneck top of the bucks just to find that far ConA block well by Sanchez because you headed by Tilman. The referee eventually gives the free
kick. No advantage for lafc on in transition potential barreled into its Tillman top of the books, gonna a free kick for alfc. Well, Jordan does such a good job of holding that ball up coming in, whipped in so hard from Alex and he gets fouled on top of the box, lays it off yet play is in advantage. But if nothing comes from it, the referee should be calling a foul there. He lets the ball play and then
you know Atensio has to come in. If you're gonna make it a foul, it's in the opponents, you know, ten yards away from their eighteen. But you're seeing that in the playoffs this year, as the referees are calling one here and not there. It's been a quig question mark for me in these playoffs. We we talk a lot about consistency. Be bad, it will be good. Would be consistent, it's all the players want.
You have to know that if I do commit a foul, it's gonna be a foul, and if I get fouled, then it's gonna be called a foul as well. Right, and that's where the frustration comes sometimes, Right, That's where you get some brass challenges a little bit of frustration creeps in, especially with high emotion games like this. I certainly knew who's going to
have to manage that. For the rest of this game. We got Red Baker Whiting a course back from injury, sitting on the bench, but Jordan Morris picks it up middle of the field, little ball to Rusnak, cushioned back to JP, finds new who by JP tries to switch the point of attack came out by Palassios. Can't do anything more than headed out of bounds for a Sounders throw on the far side the right. As you mentioned twenty nineteen, the first playoff game between these two teams, I live see you
are having a season of all seasons until they met. The Sounders went one mill up, went at to Wester free kick, and then the Sounders scored three unanswered goals, went through to the final where they hosted, of course, and won it three to one. Here at Lumen Fields, the ball gets not long cut out by Yama, leading mls and interceptions. Cushion headed to JP finds the ball back good step by Killini reads the game, well,
of course, I do you expect. I'm a euro Championship winner, one of the very best defenders of his era and his generation, so you know it his final years in MLS, he's still playing at a very high level as LFC hold a reasonably high line that'll flick around the corner by Jordan Morris, given away turned by Tillman Fayer. He tries to find the ball.
Guess what'stle off the ball that combination of JP and attention and if Jpu drives forward, tries to cut it around a costor it does use his strength and eventually finds Alex rolled on far side the right, square ball into a tensior thirty yards from goal, rolls the ball into Christian rolled the She finds you Rosneck played by Kilini, but Woe is able to resist the pressure of JP flised around the corner. Good step by Yama, solid challenge the LFC.
You're gonna come away with it. Pelaska's fast side the left to a cost the pressure from behind from Rosneck because the Sounders get back into position to easily high block pressure right now by the Sounders just ten or fifteen yards inside the LFC half the field. Let's not forget after that three to one defeat in twenty nineteen, the Sounders came back at a supporterless stadium and COVID time
to twenty twenty won by the same score line here at Lumen Field. Certainly the LFC, looking for little revenge, hears some of those scars of playoff losses, or goes to Hollins Head, drives forward, plays the ball down the line, Good defended by Newho rolls over the end line for a Sounder's goal. Kick remain Sounder's nil l EFC nil, and the score up is presented by Regents. Oh good. Defending by the Sounders, Like you said, defending higher up the field allows them a little bit more space for new
who to operate in the back. If the ball does go wide and LAFC tries to play those three balls, the Sounders are faster in the back and it allows them time and space to get a bump. Let that ball row out of balance for the Sounders get into troubles when they tend to sit back a little bit and LAFC has time to get Vela on the ball and find those tight spaces. But defending higher up the field obviously the game plan tonight, and I think you know the Sounders have had the better of the play.
As we enter this twenty seventh minute, we often say eliminate the supply higher up the field, as Olivera has as he tries to turn away from pressure from the Sounder's bench. Both down the Lions if they it goes down, looks for the found nothing given by Ted Uncle rolls over the end line, sounds goal kick and with that we're gonna throw it down to Michelle.
Thank you. Danny obviously can't take anything away from the LAFC offensive attack, but adding to the Sounders confidence is of course the man in goal, Stephan Fry. This is his ninth postseason all with Seattle. He has thirty one playoff appearances, which is the most among active goalkeepers and fourth most among all the goalkeepers. He also has a mask of nineteen wins, which is the most amongst active goalkeepers. That's eleven more than the next Ploces active goalkeeper,
which is Brad Guzan who only has eight. So great to see him in gold today. Wouldn't be surprised if we see him come up with a saber two yep, Stephen Fry. As Brian Schmitz always says, is there a goalkeeper an MLS that makes more big time saves at big time moments. We saw that gainst Ferrera in that first game when Dallas had a flurry of chances in that first twenty five minutes, he made big save in a one v one. SAMs went on to win that game as Bro's neck vea come together.
Nothing given by Uncle finds Christian Roldan to JP. A little bit of pressure behind the tents, get shrugged off the ball well by Huwanga read that game that play very well with his experience. Plays the ball to Oliver at top of the box. He hustled out of it by Nu who and then JP finds Alex rolled on. No time to rest for either team here. As the game goes back and forth, square boards JP middle of field.
Pressure from Urick wayant Olive there drops back five yards allows JP just to switch it to this in near side, so new ULLs it to Leo Truth flicks it around the corner, brought down. Foul given by Ted Unclet foul on Holinteid doesn't know why didn't give advantage there, Predavis, Yeah, I'm not sure there. It may he may have thought about getting out the yellow card there. And you know if a player goes down and he's kind of you know, milk in the clock for lack of a better term, trying to
draw a yellow card. I mean he's hurt. So I think Ted Uncle there is all right, let's make sure he's okay. It's far enough away from goal that they probably aren't going to put LFC under too much pressure. I think some of the guys asking questions of that, trying to get forward at the right time. Play that advantage. A loose touched by Jordan Morris. Kennan is able to step in, clear his lines, sounds habit back in play the foot of Alex rolled On fartside the right comes in. Loose
ball by rolled On. Bull goes down the middle to oliver Era. Yama comes across and Olivera goes down. Nothing given by the referee. Hopef'll be one of those games, just letting the game flow right now, good reference so far by Ted Uncle. Here's he can go experience. Bull goes into Jordan Morris needs to hold that ball up. He doesn't. LFC come away with it with Tillman step over by Oliver Ara finds Bowonga drives forward inside the
box. There's a chance for Bowonga I'm not the opening goal for LFC quick as you like in transition and Bowonga finds the back of the net to put LAFC one goal up here at Lumen Field. That's exactly what LFC wants. It's one bad pass and all of a sudden, in two passes, LFC is in the Seattle Sounders box and with his speed, pace and power, he'll sit out there all night long and get three or four touches on the ball and be happy as long as he gets his goal. And that is
a fantastic finish. I haven't seen power and pace like that. Accuracy gets into the box. No one commits to slide over. They're waiting for Alex Rodan to drop him behind. But it's the turnover here from Jordan. Like you said, he's gotta hold that ball. It's one pass in to Tillman, Tilman long ball, and off he goes to the races. Gamar is taken out of the player. He's not fast enough to get back and there's nothing you can do about speed. In that case, maybe Jackson just has
to go apply pressure and trust that knew who's gonna come back across. At the end of the day, It's a fantastic finish from Bowonga, finds the back of the net, laces it. That's side netting. There. Fourth goal in three games for Danny Bowonga, continue his hot streak. It's thirty seven goals in twenty twenty three for the LAFC Stryker if you mentioned it wasn't too involved in this first thirty minutes of the game, but it doesn't matter.
To picks up a loose bull, drives forward and as Brad Evans mentioned, great finish as Stephen Fry hush the crowd sounds gonna find a way back into it finds Alex rolled on and against quality players. You make half a mistake, you get punished loose again by Atensio. Sounds easy to find the ball here. Try and quip them back into this game quickly. The first five minutes after a goal, of course, is when a team could be vulnerable. Seemo flicks it off, Boo woga. It's gonna be a throne
for the sound. It's far side the right. You mentioned that LAC are finding some form in the last couple of weeks. Fall down into Leo chou Goba be one versus Hollin's head left side of the box, drive forward towards the end line on as that goes down actually comes away with it combination Mario and Hollins head what's given away by Tilbur but it finds Fayer goes down under a challenge by Alex rolled on free kick given by Ted Uncle get here in
the thirty second minute Sounders nil LFC one. This score that is presented by Provident Swedish. Well, this is where you look back at the first five minutes of this game. The Sounders have a great chance to put one in the back of the net with Jordan Morris. And sometimes these games are are of inches. It's which team is going to be there on the night to put the ball on the back of the net. And you don't want to go into halftime thinking what if? What if I want to put that ball
in the back of the net. And I think for Jordan these next ten minutes, he's gonna give you know, a little bit more up top to either hold that ball up and connect or get him behind one or the other and you might have to mix things up just a little bit and come to this, come to this left hand side. So I think it's a little bit too predictable from the Sounders right now, Allen said, back to Tilman, the assists man for Powonga in that first open goal or opening goal of
tonight's game. Pressure from Jordan Morris, find Kahleen, he takes a touch, goes to Pelasia farst side, the left creshed by Alex roll Don to play by LFC out of pressure, finds Tillman middle of the pop perhaps his right foot around it finds Olivera, who's been lively in this first thirty three minutes of the game. Sanchez experienced player, of course, but that winning
p K twenty twenty two MLS Cup given away by the Sounders. LAFC just comfortable in possessions to put a bit of higher press to find a way that first goal before halftime. The one who comes back on his preferred right foot, because it's a Veya, he's able to withstand the pressure. Foot Yamar goes back to a Costas Sanchez middle of the park. There's near sight, good press by Nu but it's able to get Elutes knew who then she finds
Tillman. It's nearside. The right back to Olivera has been mentioned been lively ute national player with Uruguay, so the full national team now getting a recent cap, and Brad, we're looking here. Ten minutes to go first half, big ten minutes for the sound as they try to wins down this initial
pressure, get himself back in the game. It was all Sounders for the first twenty twenty five minutes and then LAFC, like we said, happy to sit back and defend and wait for the Sounders to make that one mistake. They almost got punished once, so give up a couple free kicks and now it's going in the halftime and then saying, okay, what are we gonna what are we gonna fix in this second half? I think the only thing
right now is you see belong at starting position. Every time he's all the way wide, and if you look at Leo Chu's starting position, he's tucked in ten yards, use the whole width of the field, and you see Yamar. They're telling everyone stretch out, make it big, make it big, and I'm not sure he understands that that five to ten yards can make all the difference because it frees up more room for Albert to get him behind midfielders, to have more space on the ball. The crowd's getting wrestless,
loose bull by Christian World done. LAFC come away that with Pauline said, finds plasios. Sounders dominate possession fifty eight percent what you'd expect at home. Have reached over sixty percent possession against Dallas in all three games. But as an away team, LFC don't need to entertain. They need to win right now. The back of a Bolonga goal in thirtieth minute leading one goal to mil four arm into the back of Christian rolled on free kick for the Sounders

Jackson Reagan just floating on his left hand side. Yama engaging with Tillman Mario close by, who Collin's head is gonna come towards Reagan flick toward Yama, headed up in the air by Sanchez, challenged by Jackson, Reagan bounced a couple of times. They come lafc and transition again with
bow Wonga challenged by knew who nothing given by Ted Uncle. And those are not the situations, Brad, that we want. Knew who in against the Bowonga. We knew Who's sitting on a yellow couch a little bit smart for Bowoga that says, hey, I don't have any support here. I'm gonna turn on the jets and get him behind. If it wasn't for that last little arm out for Nu who I think Bowonga's gotta beat for pace? There the sounders trying to set up something tricky on that free kick, and nothing
comes of it. And any scenario in a playoff game, nothing can be underhit because every opportunity, every set piece that you've won, has to result in something. Whether I don't care if it goes out for a goal kick, but it has to have something on the end of it, some sort of production long ball ra engine pass try to find Alex Roldan in full flight, can't bring it under control, bounces once over the end. Line's going to be an LAFC goalkick. Here in the thirty eighth minute, Sounders nil
LAFC one off a Bouwonga goal in transition. Ball given away by Alex Rolldan Bhowonga. He's able to pick it up, drive forward about forty yards and smash it pass stepfro and Fry for his fourth goal in the twenty twenty three playoffs. Two goals in that first game against Vancouver down in La winning goal up in Vancouver to seal it. The ball goes along for freight or challenged by Jackson and Reagan to flick around the corner to Jordan Morris brings it down
well. Leo Chu has at his feet right in front of the LFC bench, quite sure what to do with it. Pressure from LAFCS they come with one, two, three guys foul on Jpee by Jpes. There's a middle nudge acost the falls to the ground. Antono, please experience it's real. Sound is free kick and then something I don't understand. If a player dives, he gets a yellow card. But if a player approaches, he's just committed a foul. He barely gets touched and he dives on the ground.
How does the referee not give him a yellow card? And at that point he gets him under control in the game too, because now tell him a cost and nose. I still have another foul to commit when I want to, or I might have even another one if the referee is not going to control the pace. I just that's the one thing I cannot stand about.
Simulation on both sides, diving when you have the ball and diving when you barely get touched with that free kick sounds have it thirty us in thee give me an instringer by JP, whips it in, headed clear by Lafc, controlled by new flip around the corner by JP asking him for a handball, goes down the line towards Christian Roldan. Can he keep it in? He cam whips it in with his left foot well drops the top of the fox
Leo two Atensios to shoot the ball crashed into Keolini. It's putting a yellow card, I believe on Entensio yellow card, I think crode my uncle all of a miss time challenge with a shot from Atensio and KEILEINGI read it well, nicked it away from the Sounders number eighty four who followed through and platted into Keolini. Innocuous there and he's put to try and shoot it and just follow through just catches Kiolini weeks the game well, I don't think it was
anything malicious there, just keeling. He just gets there ahead of the player. He's an experienced player that knows if he gets touched, he's gonna go down and milk it for all it's worth. And it's a deserved yellow card for Josh. You're gonna commit a foul. You do it up the field because we've seen it before LAFC. All they need is one pass from the top of the box and off they go for a break. But at this point, five minutes left, I think the Sounders have to turn on that
pressure a little bit and start lofting balls into the box. Yes, we want to play, but LAFC is gonna be happy to sit back now and just defend and defend and defend and try to get in the halftime. I know the defenders right, just like you and I would say, hey, let's get into halftime one nil. Don't give anything away. So the Sounder is gonna have to mix up play just a little bit here to provide something
of a question mark for lafc's defense there. Well, the records of the sound Is this season one seven and one when trailing at half times, the sound is going to try to find a way back into this game before the half time whistle. Based on those statistics, we also know that sound Is can be dominant in the second half here at lumin Field nineteen games unbeaten and the less record the sound Is fans try to get their team back into this
game. It's going to be a free kick for LAFC. Craypro hazard the LAFC goalkeeper to launch it long as the back four step up to the halfway line does go long. It's nearside the left challenged by Collins said flicks it forward and again by olivera to Veayer, who's able to shrug off the pressure of Yamar eventually throws out of play. Gonna be a Sounders throw play by Yamar, l goes back to Jackson. Reignan does nothing more than just launches
it along. Not a bad decision by Sounders. Center back headed up in the air by JP challenged by Sanchez, wins it off Rosnick finds Olivera. There's a wriggle. Three combination of Rosneck and JP got to win the ball, but Tilman comes away with it to Sanchez. Good pressure by the sounders. How can they shift in transition off a loose ball by LAFC. Ball gets shifted nicely by JP from center to far side the right. I talk brings it back to Yam. Our pressure conveyor reads it well. Come square
to JP. Head up, no real options. Forward goes square to Yama, finds sound has sent it back to his feet. Intense you back to Yama. LFC just happy and content to sit in and see out these final three minutes of this first half of lumen Field. LFC leading one goal to nil thirty minute, thirtieth minute goal by bo Wonga. To use this scintillating forward this season. The sound has happening. It's near side the left with
Leo Chu double team by Olivert and Hollins. He tries to wriggle between the two players, isn't able to clear by Mario Tensier brings it down, Go square to JP twenty five yards we go looks to smash it on goal. He does he's league saved the n ship by crapo into his chest, but bred Evans, why not? Good good movement from the sounds. That's the first time we've really seen Leo True isolated in the past couple of minutes. He does a good job, and it's it's winning the second ball and then
that first pass because LAFC is always gonna pressure. So if you can the pressure with one in two and three, if you can break that pass, I mean three players are eliminated out of the play. JP finds himself free there. But if we look at the other scores, we have a two nothing win. We have one nothing and one nothing, and really the Columbus game should have been won nothing save for you know, goalkeeper coming up in
the ninetieth minutes. So all these games are close. All these games are tight, and so the Sounders must must find a way to unlock something as we enter into the second half here in just a couple of minutes, and right now it's gonna have to come from JP taking a shot from distance, having LAFC have to now step out of position. That's the first shot we've seen from distance tonight, save for atensials attempt inside the box a minute or
two into this game. Hope from the sound is a brush fan's gonna be a big half time top for his team, lean on Nola's experience. The ball goes into Rusnak Jessein brig free of Maria Rio reads it finds Tillman middle of the field. Good challenge by JP thirty yards from Gold rolls it to the near side. The left overlapping run by Nuhoo two goes to his right foot, blot by Sanchez, flicked up by Rosneck clid eventually by Keelin.
He Sounds getting some final pressure in these final minutes of this first half trail one goal to nil to LAFC. Packed house here Western Conference semifinals, Sounders need to find a way back into this game. Of course, let's not forget rail Rui Diaz, Nicol Ladero, Freddie Montero, re Bear sitting on the bench ready to come in. We'll go square to Christian Roldan finds the feet at Jordan more top the box, ball into Leo two, which gets
clear but finds the foot of Alex Roldan. The extra mile stop it tries to be one minute for the sounder is to find his equalizing goal. Play the ball into a ten ship ball into to Christian rowld Don stepped well by Keihle and he shown all his experience in this first half, leaving the game so well. Sounds gonna pick up the pace a little bit here to get into the final thirty seconds of this first half. Holding the hands of Alex Roldan with speed, better pace needs to be had by the sound of trying
to find the goal. It's Christian Roldan comes off the shins of Pelasios. Can the Sounders find one more opportunity from this corner kick As JP jogs over collects the ball's going to be an out swinging corner kick with his right foot. Jackson, Reagan, Yamar and Tensio the big boys in go short to Alex wold Alex Woldon whips it in heady clear by Tillman and the referees whistle goes into his mouth, said uncle blows halftime. ONLYFC players putting their hands
up in the air. They had a chance to go in transition to bring that first half to a conclusion. Goal by Boo Wonga in the thirtieth minute was the only goal of that first half. Bred Evans your final thoughts, Well, the Sounders outplayed LAFC in that half, but at the end of the day, they're not gonna ask how They're gonna ask did you get to the next phase of these playoffs? And LFC doing everything they can to their game plan to make them make a mistake. The Sounders don't finish their chances
on their end. LAFC comes down with the top goal scorer, golden foot winner in this league, and he laces one into the corner and off LAFC goes. But I'm Sounders at halftime, I'm saying, Okay, we're good, we're playing. We're playing. Let's keep playing. The chances are going to keep coming. Now we have to be clinical in front of goal. Well sixty one percent possession in that first half. I couldn't find that goal. So we'll take a short break, Keeley, Pete and Marcus we'll be
back to break it all down. But halftime here at EQC Pitcher Luminfield, it's Sounder's nil LAFC one. Hello, welcome into the halftime show from EKEC Pitch at lumin Field. I'm Keeley Dunning here with Marcus Hanneman and coach Pete Fewing as your Sounders are behind LAFC one nil at the first half. Guys, let's break down the first half action. First, the Bolonga goal. First of all, Pete, you were behind the goal. Can you walk us through what you saw? Well, they came down the left side, and Marcus said it before the
game we have to keep an eye on him. It's obvious when he's got twenty goals, but his change of pace and his first and second touches, third touches and to the goal for I had no chance whatsoever, But I mean it just was men amongst boys right there. I think Gamar could have got over there a lot quicker. I don't think he recognized how fast he was, how quickly he would get into the box. And it's a great goal. There's a reason that guy has twenty of them and there's a terrific
goal. And then what I thought was interesting is afterwards LAFC must have had forty to fifty passes in a row and it looked like it was eleven against nine on the field and Seattle just couldn't get back into the rhythm of it. When they're standing there and you're looking at Valen, you're looking at Kiolini, and you're looking at Bowonga, you're going, wow, that's a they're right in front of me, right there, and that's a star studed team.
That's a very good team. Hauling said, So it's Seattle has their confident. LAFC is very very confident. I thought the last couple of minutes were good. Seattle started to get Chew involved a little bit. Rolled on. It's been involved on the right hand side. But we're gonna need some more and we're gonna need some quality and we can't give anything up. I know we're gonna talk about that in a minute, but we can't give anything
up in the midfield. Yes, when you think about who's giving us with, it's you know, Alex rolled down, he's pushing up to give us with and then those transitions where it's was when it gets scary. Yeah, Buong's got a ton of speed and and like you said, Yamar wasn't able to slide over quick enough because Alex was never going to catch him. And you know, I think Yamar thought he was going to be able to just slide in there and you know his pace, you know, his control of
the ball and then uh, I mean his finish was impeccable. I mean top corner and we saw it this morning an EPL. Those were EPL finishes right there. Really good goal. But yeah, it's a you know, a tale of uh that that first half. The Sounders what we asked him to do in the beginning was to start off really well and they did that.
You know, their keeper came up with two huge saves and you know, a great save, especially at the one on one with Jordan Morris did a great job sliding in the great ball and now he's he's in behind and you know, he goes high and the keeper is able to swat it. It was a remark Will say, you know, we could have been up one zero, but that's what you know when you finish your chances, that's where we're end up. But now Sounders are trailing one zero. We did
have a couple of good chances. We had that eighteenth minute Jackson Reagan header of the first twenty twenty five minutes. I feel like we're actually all Sounders, Sounders fans. Well, I mean, I think they need to do exactly what they did in the first half and you know, I mean there's a whole bunch of guys warming up here. So we've got five guys warming up. What changes is Schmidt's gonna make? Who knows, We've got a
couple guys on yellow cards. I don't know how that's going to play into it, but you know, I mean, this is the part I remember as a player, Right, you're down one nil, going to the locker room, and you know, with everything to play for today, you know, like every looking at everybody's faces in there, you know, you know, all the work you put in throughout the season and then and it's just forty five minutes and you know, one goal, you're back in this thing,
no problem, and then you're gonna have the momentum. So it's a you know, I'm there's not gonna be a lot of down heads in there right now. And you know, Schwetz is gonna come out with a couple of different game plans, and obviously you know bou Wonga is going to be mentioned a couple of times, like we can't let him go and we need
to help out, you know when we can in the back. Yeah, it's forty five minutes, right, and I'll be curious to see if he makes a change with Nico's been good coming off the bench, gave us thirty good minutes regular season, gave us twenty good minutes in the in the Dallas series, the first Dallas game thirty minutes, the second one twenty minutes. So we'll see if he if he goes to him a little earlier. With
Chew, there's no need to hold back right now. We're not saving ourselves for anything, and there's enough time between this one and the next one. So they've got to unleash a little bit. Cannot give the ball away in the middle of the park. They can't get caught in transition. They will
say, hey, you got a slide quicker. If Alex goes up and leaves that hole on the right hand side, or knew who on the left hand side, We've got to fill that space quickly with either Gomas Androti or or Reagan so and then and then we got to get more from the flank play. And it's a little bit of quality right, get the pass to the right spot with the right pace right and then we've got to get to the near post. You can't stand behind someone and I hope it's going to
get through. So it's a forty five minute game. They got to pick it up and energy grit bite right now in this very very important My favorite expression always is you have to score at least once to win the game, and one nil. We had to score anyway. Check out our new fiftieth anniversary three match pack. Listen to around the NFL on the iHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcasts. You're listening to the Home of Sounders FCS Sports Radio nine fifty kJ R. Welcome back Sounders Fans, QC pitch at Lumen Field. One set of players is ready to go. Referee Ted Uncle just whistling out LAFC or slow to come out of the locker room. Essentially, if you mind games, Sounders trailing after a Bowonga goal in that first half, the Sounders will be
attacking the goal to our right, their traditional south end. In the second half. Green shirts, blue shorts, green socks, LFC all in black. That's a crowded shows that discontent with lafc's antics. As they huddle up in the middle of the field, get themselves going, set uncles, they're waiting for them. Sounders are ready to kick this one off. Get this second half going. They've gotta find a way back into this game. LFC ticks down all black attack the goal to our left to the north end towards
downtown, seattles Albert Rosneck. I'm gonna get this going off. The Sounders go forty five minutes to find a way back into this game. As Jackson Reagan launches it long challenged by Morris, on Key lean back into him, got the worse of it, went down hard. Still on the deck is Jordan Morris. It cost and miss plays it, but it finds the foot of Pelacios. So Morris is just gonna shake off a little discomfort this powonga
has he tries to flick it through the legs of Yama. It's gonna be a throwing for l e f C on this near side, the l e f C left in front of the bench. I'll give you those lineups just in a few seconds as we scow the field, and like any of the teams, then any changes all goes into powonga they had mentioned by the Sounders. With Alex Oldonald's's loose pass for that bewonga goal that got LFC in transition be a free kick for the Sounders. And with that and the first time
in this second half, we're gonna throw it down to Michelle. Thank you, Danny. I can't confirm no substitutions by either team at the half, although Brian Schmetzer tells me that if nothing happens in the Sounders favor in the first ten minutes of play, he will not hesitate to make those changes. He didn't have a lot to say about the first half. Complimentary obviously that
the LAFC had a great play that they capitalized on. He said if Jordan would have scored on his opportunity in the first half, it would be a totally different game that we're talking about. The biggest thing that he needs to see changes are is he wants to see more dynamic playmaking in front, more running in behind in the final third, and his biggest message to Leo two is you can't stop when you have the ball, because that is when you're
double team. He really hopes with those suggestions this game will open up. All bounces around just top of the bucks eventually goes to Bowonga gets pushed off by game. Most Sounders have it that they ochts from goal outside the foot to Leo chew by Jordan Morris makes a run inside the bucks played and eventually collects it. Collins had putting pressure on who advances left back because this Trezl whipped the ball in asking for the corner kick. Now think given goalkick for
l EFC. And with that, let's give you the lineup for the sounder. Stefan Fryank Gohl back forth, roll don Yeamar Reagan knew who josh Aten's here along? Sorry, Joe Powlo in the middle of the park, Roll done, Rosneck and Leo Chu and then Jordan Morris upfront as the sounder is number nine. L EFC crap ow and goal about four of Hollings had Mario Kialini and Pelasios Tilloman Sanchez A Coossa in the midfield and olivera Veya and goalscorer
Bouwanga up front. So Brad Big forty five minutes for the team in green, you know, find a way back nineteen games. I'm beaten here at home. All the Sounds have to doing this next forty five to get back on the board and get back in this game. Well, it's not a game of possession now because LAFC is just gonna sit back, stick with the game's same game plan as a first forty five and blait for the Sounders to make a mistake. If I'm LFC, I'm sitting back my shape defensively.
Yes, we'll play, but we're also just gonna wait for the Sounders because they know that the Sounders have to come with waves and waves of pressure. And like Michelle said, she menta wait ten minutes and if nothing, if it looks the same as the first half, then you're gonna see two or three subs. And that also allows more time for guys to get into the game as they enter into this second half. But the Sounders must be quick
on the ball move. But someone has to break open this play and think in the first half as we thought about it, it was a little bit too A to B, B, two, C, C to D what they did in training. Someone has to come in with a spark and something special to be able to break this LAFC team down. We'll sort of shot from JP for thirty yards more the same couldn't beat Craig Poe straight into his
chest. We'll go to the foot of Christian roll down and tries to look at the fast sight cut out by Holling Z there's some pressure from the Sounders midfield and russneck and lead shoot free kick called by Ted Uncle for LAFC. Your free kick just outside the eighteen yard bucks and certainly laf See played right into the Sounders hens. They are this year the second. They have the second most chances created from high press in MLS this year to l EFC.
They are all about transition and when you are away from home you have the type of confidence and attacking prowess that l EFC have. I's gonna wait for that chance, wait for that loose ball to get that goal. It certainly showed that in that first half the Sounders, as much as they need a
press, be careful of that transition. As the ball goes along by craypuff good raking ball finds the chest of Hollinsad comes inside given away by Oliver has been sharp, lively as you required you signing in August mentioned Thorington continues to find these players all over the place. Olivera of course, Orango left last year top goal scorer for l EFC when they won the MLS Cup and when they bringing Denny Bowonga. It's a good free kick. Sounders looks like just
inside their half of the field. Ted Uncle just tries to organize Jackson O Reagan. It's gonna push him back. Sound is split into a three. Alex Rodan high on this near side, the sounders right. He goes to Knew, who comes back to Jackson O. Reagan has the ability to play these long breaking balls. He's gonna clip it to this near side. The right finds the chest a Christian Roldan. It's flipsing around the corner. Read well By Pelacios knocks it up in the air. Tilliman brings it down his
chest. Pressure for Christian rolled on. Now Alex comes across, JP wins it well, cushion headed to Christian Roldan and Silly fouled by a costa no card given by Ted Uncle. Again. He's surrounding the referee in consistency again, bred Evanson, how many times? How many we talked about it. He's gonna get away with more and more if the referee does not get control of a player like that. He's a defensive midfielder, you know. They
live and die by hard tackles. That's how they get themselves into the game, and they set the tempo for the team that they're playing on. So if the referee doesn't get it under control, so it might not be a Coostas challenge. It's going to be the next guy for LAFC that thinks they can get away with something. But the Sounders have to take advantage of that. Get at guys right, because you know the next one is going to
be a yellow car. Just to hopefully get control of the game. Rosneck has it just ten yards in from this near touch line, thirty yards or so from the end line. Two hands up. It's gonna be an outswinger of his right foot, whips it in towards that back post, bounces once over the end line. Poor delivery from wheresnek goalkick LAFC Sounders nil LAFC one on nine fifty am. And wherever you're listening to us in the car at home in the app, you appreciate you joining us. Certainly a lively atmosphere,
packed house, as you've mentioned. If we look down from advantage point, can't see a single seat vacant and Craypo is going to continue his antics from the beginning of that second half where he was slow to come out, all about time management, no lifely for LAFC ten uncles having none of it. It's gonna be a goalkick for l EFC. Tonight's match is presented by Region's Blue Shield, where connection is at the heart of a healthy life.
Regions Blue Shield together we health and for the Sounders it's together as one fans players, you know, find a way together to get back into this game. As the Sounders winning calls it to news. On an early yellow card, player goes down. Nothing given by Ted Uncle Sand just pops back up again. Of course they're going down in a heap. The LFC come away with that. In transition all goes in. It almost finds fayer. Good play by game are good, confident composed play cuts it away from pressure.
The Sounder is gonna start to build again. And now this is where the Sounders have to take advantage of that high press. LAFC knows that they're gonna go. They take chances, and all of a sudden, three players are out of the player and the Sounders what do they do. They put their foot on it, maintain possession. That's when you have LAFC out of shape and out of sorts. Gotta take advantage. That first pass needs to be forward, gotta be forward to break the lines. Certainly the options for Brian
Schmittz will get to that in a few seconds. Brot talk about the options of Brian Schmtzer has his a tential hazard, bawls it out to the far side the left, New who in support balls towards the end line to Leo Chu. Mario comes across asking him for a deflection of Leo Cheu. It's not gonna be given by ten uncles. Be a corner kick for the Sounders far side the Sounders left as Rosneck trots over, It's gonna put it down. It's gonna be an inswinger with his right foot. The Sounders dominates in
possession sixty three percent. Fourth quarter kick for the Sounders, one hand up. Sounders packed up on the top of that six yard box new top of the box, GPS floating on the backside, headed clear by Mario. Nobody attacking the ball for the Sounders is Alex Roldn plays it to Rosneck. Pressure from lafc the to wriggle free back to Alex Oldn clips off Tillman miscontrolled by Mario's could be another corner kick to the Sounders. All done by the Sounder's
constant pressure, but now the service needs to be better. It hasn't been there tonight. But all he takes is one here, and we've been asking for this team to get a set piece goal. The last time, I think was against Vancouver, the worst set piece defending team in the leagues. And the Sounders just haven't been that good on attacking on set pieces this year, but this could be the one. Jackson Reagan arm up for Rusnak Bull
comes in towards a six headed clear again this time by Fayer. The solid on that front post in corner kicks JP clips it in Rio goes up challenged by Jackson Reagan. Mario goes on to the debt free kick to LAFC. Exactly what they want is they burn off a couple of extra seconds. The Sounders FC Soker is presented by Provident, Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders FC
and Brad. As we mentioned, let's just give the bench for the Sounders an array of attacking talent to choose from for Brian Schmetze, Ariaga Cleveland, Cody Baker, Obed Vargas and then the big players. Railrudis Nicolo'dero, Freddie Montero hip aar and with that on cue Nico Ladero. We're gonna see what
change that's gonna be. Is gonna be the likeful like change for Leo Cheu or is it gonna be a shift bringing Atensio out, potentially dropping Rozneck back and putting Ladero in the tent to find that little bit of magic in the middle of the park, free headed by Hollingshead, ball pops up by JP. Tensio goes up with a Cossa be Sin roll down trying to find Jordan Morris, expecting to run in behind, didn't get it all rolls into the
hands of Crapo. You haven't seen the board yet. Bred a couple of choices for Brian Schmetzo and tweets he can make to this lineup with the player in Ladero, who's gonna bring up I think in Nico you have that person that can unlock the defense and he'll play that position of Leo Choo's, I think much different than Leo cho does, and it'll cause some problems for haulings Head out there that creativity. Haulings Head is an athletic guys, but he's
a veteran of this league. He's seen speed before, He's seen some talented players. But this could be Nico send off tonight and I hope in these next you know thirty forty minutes that Nico provides something special. Well for Niko LADERI you hear the crowd noise as he comes on the field. He's gonna slide in on that left hand side, like for light switch for Leo Chwo,
but very different. As Brad Evans mentioned in the amount of which they play, good press by ladera straight away sound is gonna pick it up. But as Brad mentioned before, it's good forward. They go back points Jackson Reagan's able to move forward a bit of pressure from they are just pushing him to his left foot, and saw that against Dallas, who work pretty effectively in that second game. It's nearside the right is Alex Roldan just cuts away
from pressure from Bowonga doing his defensive duties. I'm trying to find a ball in behind Chrishon Roaldan made a run saved by JP LEFC asking for that ball to be out of bounds. Nothing given by the referee or assistant referee. Bred mentioned Nik gorderas made his plans known, leaving the sounders at the end of this year. I suppose we have one more game after this to see Nikoladero at lumen Field. He's got got thirty plus minutes to do that.
Paul goes into Alex Roldan cuts inside, plays it square to JP, finds Christian roll. Dan whide on the right, whips it in along that six good play headed up by Mario, headed clear by Kolini, clipped up, eventually finds the foot of Palacioso goes square to olive Vera high pressed by new Ball down the line. Tilman went low, Lbera went short. Sounders have it in transition, whereas that needs to go forward. He's got a chance to go square to Ladera on that left hand side. Finds new in support
high up on that left hand side. Much of the scene has been told to stay home sounds. He to find a goal for one two with JP Laderum she cleaned up by Lafc and Pelasi off top of their eighteen yard box. Pressure from the sound It's Christian roll. Dan goes into pou Wonga's It's Alex old and nicks it off the toe of Powonga cuts away from pressure, coming back to JP, finds Christian roll Daran whips it in towards that far
post, easily collected by Hollin's head earlf. So you got to come away that for the Hollins head who's going to drive before his left foot, but
given away. Sound has got some sustained pressure in those first minutes of the second half, Sounds trailing one Daltonill here in the fifty ninth minute nine AM blumen Field Comfort Western Conference Semifinals, I was called on, has eighteen yards in the end and whips it in towards the back post no pressure getting on a Holly intends able to head it clear, finds the foot of a tensil a little loose on that first touch, Olivers said, we go free.
Eventually rolls back to Craypo decks out all Red launch it long trys the foot of Jackson Reagan. The Sounders could build again where you've already seen Nuco's impact on this game, popping up in different lines. That's causing LAFC some issues. And this is the one where the Sounders have to play out of pressure. And you already see a starting position wide wide, wide, on the
left hand side. Let me have room to operate that I can either come into or not come into, and it's already providing more space for Rusnak to find the ball. Here's that man Nikoladero overlap and run by Neuho, cuts inside, goes square to Rusnak, tries to find the foot of Jordan Morris. He does briggles free block by Pelasios. Good play by the Sounders free kick given by sad I call it and see the challenge of key LENI won't see a replay? Did be a free kick LAFC in their six yard box.
Sound As FC Soccer is presented by Provident, Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders FC. Based on the way that Kihleeni went down, it's like they may need some of their healthcare popped up now a little shrug which she clears o Nick and Dera Killeeny again using all that experience. Let's don't forget the success he's had all across the world, seventeen years at Juventus, nine consecutive Seria Art titles. Of course, that twenty twenty European Championship would have beat
England in the final. All goes to pushing roll downs around the corners, Kely goes down timing and the referee gives nothing. I why not quick believe that Brad Evans. I thought Killeeny made a good challenge side the box, ted uncle. The referee says, we've got the ball and here we go with LAFC farst side the right with Tillman olid Vera plects the ball one be one against Knew who comes off New Who's gonna be a corner kick for LAFC.
And as you can hear from the crowd, I'm not happy with the referee, all these different changes bred of var What can be seen what cannot be seen? Here we look at this play and it's Christian that gets the touch and it's a fiddle one. It's not even close. And the fact that the ball wasn't slowed down to look linesman is standing ten yards away and how he doesn't see that is beyond me because that's a last man defender outside of the box. The typical rule says what red card in that situation?
If Christian gets a touch there, he doesn't get taken off of his feet, he's one on one into the goalkeeper. He knows. Look, he's standing next to Christian right now. He knows it's about We know it's a feul and he was actually a good fell outside the box. But as you mentioned, foun himself with last man. So the Sounders have to deal with a corner kick now because of a miscall that could change a game. I always want the referee not to be part of the game, sit on the
side to make the right calls. All comes in easily collected by stepan five. Is that gonna put the bit between the teeth for the Sounders? It's Holling's head blocks here for needs to get some control of this game. Mentioned his experience on both sides of the field, Sounders and LFC. And there's the Sounders look to find a way back in this game. The LFC,
he's all the tricks in the book. Kills some time stagnate the Sounders, but the crowded behind and Nico d'Arago square to Jordan Morris first touched a little loose but to buy Sanchez back to Keeleen who clips it forward headed by Jackson. Reagan gets pounded into nothing given by the referee again doesn't see it, does it call it it's another foult. But woe on Gama and Brad as much the players need to take a breath, I feel like Ted Uncle needs
to take a breath and just take a moment compose himself. The last few minutes they go away from him. Well, this is what happens is you don't get control of the game, and all of a sudden, it says hectic. You hear the crowd build up, and then everyone's thinking they can throw in a challenge whenever they want. Hauling said stands in front of the ball, that's a yellow card infringement anywhere else. Otherwise the sounders are off and going. Now you have Jackson down with a knee injury. And that's
not a guy that's just gonna sit on the ground. This is a massive playoff game. That's a big guy sitting on the ground that's shaking his head no as Cornish works on his knee. And this is where the referee could have avoided this starting in the first half. Get control early. How many times have you seen games around the world where you just get control early. We know that the players are heightened, and now the players sniff out and I can get away with this and that and the other, and the flip
side of that is I know Ted uncle sinking in his head. If there's anything inside the box, it's gonna go the Sounders way as we watched the replay, just undercut him, undercut him. The knee twists there, he gets bumped off the ball. Jackson Reagan sitting up, just having a couple of words with Chris Cornish. It's a little bit uncomfortable, hopefully anything too
serious. Continues to check his knee. Dr Morris just on the sidelines waiting for the court and Chris Cornish, but so far no need for the doctor to come on. As Chris Cornish pulls up Jackson O Reagan, it's the pig center back. Great season he's had for the Sounders alongside Yemar two of the very best performers in MLS this season along the back line. Didn't get plawed it in terms of awards, but certainly got plawed it in terms of
fans and commentators and analysts around the league appreciating what he does. You see play again at Kilini goes down, easily connects with Christian rolled on and Sounders have it on the deck. Free kick here in the sixty fifth minute sound as trailing one golds andillas als hold On launches along far post once that goes over the back of Yama, free to goalkick for l EFC. This copyrighted audio casts of Major League Soccer may not be retransmitted, reproduced, or rebroadcast
without the express written consent of Major League Soccer. Crowds in it, teams are in it, coaching staff up on their feet. Big twenty five minutes for the sounders. Can they find a way back into this game? As Brad Evans mentioned, a little bit of magic needed. Nicolodero on the field. Now, Christian rolled on back to JP, goes down the deck, refree gives a kick and with that the referee gives a yellow. Cuts a
JP. We're gonna throw it down to Michelle. Thanks Danny. As you can imagine, there's heightened emotions down here, and honestly, the Jackson Reagan pause to be checked out couldn't have come at a better time. We've been seeing antics by LAFC since they decided to come out late to start the second half, and it was heightened right before the Jackson Reagan play with one of the LAFC players trying to interfere with Stephen Fry while he was trying to get
a ball back in play. And so during that break you saw multiple players coming over the sideline referee to say check var, use var, you have it for a reason, while the coaching stuff just continue to try in motion. Boalm down, calm down, keep emotions in check, because things are definitely getting testy out here. Yeah, if you mentioned both teams lots of experience, but there's big games, did you pull out the emotion? The teams often able to have a cool ahead and prevail. As the sound is
got to win the bowl, they do eventually have wouwonga. He goes through JP and bred Evans. I'm gonna ask you if JPS is a yellow card, and that was almost identical. I mean, we just professed to the crowd here and repeating our salves again consistently been asking questions of Ted uncle tonight.
I don't understand how it's one way and then it's not another. So you're saying to the Sounders, get it under control, and now you're saying to LAFC, go ahead, have free play for the seventh or eighth time tonight. There's no control right now for LAFC. But this is where the Sounders have to be careful. You cannot get into being completely emotional. We'll flicks off the top to Jordan Mara is able to collect, get pushed off the ball by Holly's head, goes over the end line, goalkick to LAFC.
Finished it go cooler heads will prevail right the Sounders are. You're gonna see this ball in lafc's defensive half, and now the Sounders must get at one on ones. You have to make LAFC make a decision because you know that that call is coming your way now. And no matter how much you know we watch it and think that he doesn't have control, he knows in the back of his mind that he needs to have a couple makeup calls. You miss that one, missed that one, that one, that one not
giving a yellow to get LAFC under control. It's coming for the Sounders next one week goes up, looks more comfortable. Now back on the fields that this controls it. Cossa wriggles free boowonga. That's a goal. There's JP hustling, harrying to play by the Sounders and they come away with the entensio middle of the field, plays it square to this near sight there right, Alex Roldan back to entensio to JP. Sounders leaning on this experience now trying
to find that bit of magic, get back into this game. If they get that goal, goodness, that crowd will look explode out here. Foul by bow Wonga. That's two. In the next space of two minutes, we have ten calls him back. You expect him to give him a yellow card. I mean we have Taylor Twelman yelling at us and our grooth over here. Where's the yellow card? Where's the yellow card? Get it under
control in a good position for the Sounders. Now now it's about service and you have Nico on the field now to mix us things up just a little bit for the Salmons that in swinging left footed ball, and now it's about the runs. Can Morris add to his playoff goals eight playoff gold tied second of active players. Can he find himself on it? You mentioned Jackson Reagan. I sent a text message to Brian Schpetzer said, I feel it.
Jackson Reagan's deserves a goal this year. Hasn't got on the score sheet yet. Four assists on his season. He finds the ball in the back of the ball gets whipped in, cleared by Palacios, too low and short by ladero Is it gets clear by Alifc loose baul again by Alex Roldan and the Samit's Olavero on the left hand side, chased down by Alex. Then to get back Sounders get men behind the ball. Tilman has it thirty yards from
goal, clipped to the far side to Polonga brings it down. Good challenge by atensiopen it's still prolonger ball at his feet or square sovey a left hand side good block by out give me a corner kick to Lafc. It means Sounders Neil lfc one bred Evans good player from Lafc here just with standing.
But this all starts from poor service, right. This is the seventh or eighth ball that's been underhit from the Sounders tonight in good positions in the playoffs of Sounders have been really good on set pieces, and tonight we're just not seeing the service there. La breaks there with a miss misplayed ball by Alex Rowdand but it's good defending at the end of the day from the Sounders.
Well let kick Dell off the ball. Yeah, thered a little wood of ten Uncle again, time wasting by VEYA ball comes in top of the six, headed up and away by Alex Roldan, challenged by a Rusnak headsig clear, Pelacios has a pop shot goes wide goal kick sounders. I think certainly for ted Uncle we started to look down as a little bit of movement,
and now we start to see a change. Josh At Tanzil sprints off the fields as he should, and here's the man rorried Ds scored in the last games against LAFC, both in twenty twenty and twenty twenty and to twenty nineteen. He slides in. It's gonna be two up front now, Jordan Morris and Rudiaz up front. Let's see how Brian adjust his midfield, said JP still sitting in front. Rus Neck's gonna sit alongside him. Ladero narrow in attention in the ten. See if Jordan Morris slides out to the left hand
side. And there's the reverse of the decision initially given to LAFC. As the throw it's given to Alex Wildan first touched for Ruy Diaz wriggles free of Pelasio's good play. Can Rudiaz find some magic. It's gonna sounds back in this game, add to his nine goals in the playoffs. Bare gets flicked in towards the far post, bounces inside the box. Knew who clects it,
cuts it back, there's Ruy Diaz clips it to Ladero. Pressure from Olivera goes back to Knew, who comes off the Then she comes off Oliver and then off Knew. Who's gonna be in the LFC throwing on the far side of the LFC right remains remains sound as Neil LFC one. It's a tough one for Josh to come off there, but he's got to understand with you know, twenty minutes left, that it's always gonna be the Sounders pushing offensively. I thought Josh played well tonight, not much more that he could
have done. He had a good strike early on in this game. He cleaned things up and to see his progression we talked about it early in the broadcast, is he'll be a mainstay for this Sounder squad moving forward. He's only gonna get better. You never want to come off, you know, in a playoff game that could be the last one of the season. But Raoul comes on now and let's see of him and Nico and Jordan can become
that three headed monster and it's something special there to combine. He's got to be the guy to do it. There's no many beta lineups now in MLS. I can imagine JP ruznek roldn Ruy, Diaz, Ladero, Morris as good as you gets new has it zuff Mario comes across, goes over the end line, cone kick, Sounders remain sounds nil LFC one. And now you asked, with Nico's impact already in the space that he's finding, why didn't he start this game in a playoff game is possibly last one at home?
La Daro has it out swing with his left foot, headed clip by Sanchez, volley by Russnet, goes high and over the crossbow goal kick LAFC And you're right. It's the impact, the instant impact that a playlight Lazaro's had. And I think if you see Leo choose games, the past three or four just hasn't been there for the level that the Sounders have needed to really be a mainstay in this playoffs. And then all of a sudden Nico
comes on and he's finding different types of pockets. He's finding each and every little spot on the field and creating just a little bit of something. As the first time that knew who got forward, and it was all because of Nico's combination and finding those little passes. When Bryan Schemtzen didn't mention that, I think it made a change. It would be the lineup in Dallas putting the darrow on foot, shoots a wriggle free loose, Paul goes to Tilney,
clips it along toward the Pewonga headed by Gaymar with JP hampball. Is it not nothing given by ten? Uncle JP? Call for it off of Costa. Sound has come away with it, Ladera. Now we're in front of the sounder's bench. It's near sight. The right comes back on his left foot, finds Alex rolled on while Chris, you're just sit in front. JP in support gets it pressure in behind, Faya knocks him over. Three free kick for the sound is silly foul by Veya, but the sounders
will take it. As they get set up for that free kick, we're gonna throw it down to Michelle. The formation change that just took place about a less than thirty seconds ago. They're now moving Jordan Morris out to the left, Nico shifting into the middle to kind of change things up, obviously, change how they're going about the attack here. Thanks Michelle. Yeah, we see it now as an open play. Jordan did shift, leaving Grudias up front on his own, So back to a conventional four two three one.
Who isn't that playing a little bit in front of JP? That's an inverted try. There's a ten year more defensively minded comes off. Sounder is able to add an offensive player in the Ruy Diaz LAFC hold the line just eleven yards or so from Crapo's goal. Jackson, Reagan, Yemar Marius ruy Diez, Christian Roldan inside the box, step over and whipped in by JP. Good ball cleared by Sanchez, struck it in. Bour bounces to clear off the line by Tillman. Bour bounce around, potentially cleared by l a
FC. Sounders still have it. Drew ball to it's near side the rights. Christian Roldan closed down by Palasios. That to JP's gonna whip it towards that far post, challenged by Jackson, Reagan kick Kevin Jackson. Reagan won the ball. The ten Uncle gives a free kick to lafc. I'm not sure how that's a foul on Jackson Reagan for backing up. He's paying all attention onto the ball. Well, this here's the first one. The ball gets played in. It's a good ball. Nico finds a good spot in
Yamar just doesn't get his right foot all in that. And Tillman sits back just last ditch defending, and then Jackson's going up fifty to fifty with the ball and the keeper comes out. If Jackson's facing the ball and playing the ball, it's not a foul. No one else on the field is complaining, only the referee calling the foul. I think, what are the issues
that the sound as players are having. Is not just a free kick like that, but it's also the time wasting fans down now were knee and if players able to get a drink, take some of the momentum out of the game because they manage this clock managed time and no yellow cards given for time wasting yet by ted Uncle. Certainly we've seen that in the past to kind of stamp out some of that time wasting but so far, Ted uncle, I've taken the yellow cart out of his put. Well, here's another replay.
That ball swung in Jackson's full focus. He's not even looking at the goalkeeper just jumped into Jackson. The keeper jumps in to make a save. Yeah, you're gonna battle fifty to fifty. It's a fifty to fifty ball. If there's if I'm staring at the goalkeeper and looks constantly looking at the keeper, yeah, that's my indication that I'm not playing the ball. But in that situation, Jackson's playing the ball. Tell you what that was Chad
Marshall on the field of Zach Scott. They'd probably be sent off for a red. Carter's screaming of the well in the response by Crapo, he just jumped back on his feet trying to make that second say from the rebound, so showed that he didn't think he was a found. But the Sounder's doing everything right right now, right momentum in the Sounders. Wait, thirteen minutes left plus probably some lengthy stoppage time right now, that's Kiolini now wasting time
substitution for Lafc. As they went down, he did come off the field. Bo Gush comes on, Bo Gush of course the goal scorer, and that one they'll win down in the LFC scored in fifty seconds, the first fifty seconds of the game. I think it might be blood on Kiolini's leg that they're upset about. Well, of course they wait till Veya comes off, and then he goes and shows the referees got blood. So it is what it is because Kielini trudges off slowly and I think you're right, Brad,
blood on the knee. He gets it cleaned up and again the referee needs to get a control of this game. Ladero just in his ear, JP in his ear. It will be very interesting to see what the extra mile stoppage time will be at this We're gonna twelve gray bo has it from that a little free kick, it's gonna put the ball down, It's gonna knock it out and long challenged by Jackson, rigg and picked up by Ladero, and she finds Christian roll down to Alex Roldan's crossed the half ware line
into LAFC territory and clips it from right to left. Anew got some time and space to drive forward to to whip it in poor delivery by New hits the chest of Collins head. The Sounders retain possession middle of the field. Jape slighted to Alex Roldan gonna come back on his left foot, wait for PreCure, strikes it as a good shot, a good safe fight. Craypo, that's more like it for the Sounders. Code kick. Well done from
the Sounders there. I was asking it, thinking about asking a question of JP playing that ball to Alex early, but he cuts inside on his right foot and he's got one thing on his mind, and that's put the ball on frame. And he does such a good job of selling that shot on book left footed shot and it's a good save. Coming across its swinger by Ladero towards the front post. Bour bounces around, finds New, who rolls it back to Ladero, comes in with his left foot and bright to the
middle of the six yard box. Goalkeeper goes down comfortable for Craypo as he wastes a few more minutes. The Sounds fans. If Sounders FC scores any time after the eighty eighth minute during a home match, you'll have the chance to win free Lasik surgery from Sharp vision modern lasik and lens. Sign up today at sounders fc dot com slash laser focus for here in the eightieth minute, Sounders nil laf c one. I'm fifty KGr am. Whatever happens to
the end of this game, don't leave. We've got a extended postgame show. Keeley, Marcus and Pete save the Sounders could find this tying goal bar goes along into Morris, headed up by Hollins, heads Sanchez first to the ball, plays with Olivera goes out. Sound is far side. It's gonna be a throwing for the Sounders. Comes in quickly to a Rusna playing a little deeper right now is dark given that freedom to Rome in that number ten
position where he's played so well for so many years. Don't forget the impact he's had on this franchise. Paid find a bit of magic again, Alex Aggan. It's near side. The right goes towards the end line, comes off, palaciof goes back to JP inside the box. Right corner goes along the top. Let fuck just over skims the top of the crossbar. Referee says, the goalkeeper made us save. It's gonna be a corner cake for the Sounders if you played quick. But it's another good snapshot from this right
hand side. Cutting in on the left foot, JP has a go far post and Poe just another fingertip saved to send it over the bar. Crowds in it on their feet. The darrow outswinger with his left foot comes in headed clip by LFC again flicks away. It's gonna be Rosneck who's gonna pick up a loose ball closed down by Tilman outs rolled on in support, a little bit of pressure from boo Woga. We's rolled don loose on that ball and that delivery bo Wonga find its olive arrors. No, it's that cleans
up the danger. Don't see you clean up a little bit. That possession sixty six percent so far in this game, dominating possession, but as we mentioned, NFC will be content, so there's all pressure. Play on the counter tech turned by Ruy Diaz goes down by Kileeni's challenge nothing given its Bowonga tries to knock it around. Christian Roldan gets the body between ball and player.
Good defending by the Sounders number seven. As the Sounders get it back in again quickly, ros and that plays at square from center to far side. The left thanks hold On's in support just inside pitched in Christian Waldon has it now far side, the right comes in low Kieleen is able to get a half clearance, eventually cleared by Tilman. All Sounders pressure now get here in the eighty third minute, still trailing one goal to nil, but all
that big hitters on the field now Darrow, Ruy, Diaz Marris. Ball comes in towards Morris, cleared by Hollins, head up in the air only two the amar who brings it down well on his chest flicks it up in the air. It's the ball, why not being given up by the referee stops the play, So it has to be a head injury. And I don't see that he's holding his leg. I'm not quite sure why, ted uncle, And now he moves his hands to his head. I certainly feel
Brad and you and I are going to be a broken record here. But it's not a situation where the referee in the eighty fourth minute of a Western Conference semifinal should be putting whistle to his mouth when the rule clearly states the team in possession does not have to put the ball out unless he's determined that it's a gregious head injury and the player's flailing on the ground, he's already
back up on his feet, so it goes. Now he's deeming it's a foul and lafcs well, which I'm very confused by here when the Sounders had possession of a ball, it's yeah, what'sn't a foul given stopped the play? I think he's lost control here, he really has. She's wandering around yellow cart eventually give it to Craper for time, wasting crowd like that. Frabury gets ready to launch it for it in the sounds just having a quick word with the referee as they get set for this free kick. We'll throw
it down to Michelle. Thanks Danny, just to echo everything you and Brad have been saying after almost every single one of these calls in the second half, the Sounders bench just rubs and are demanding a reason, if you will, behind some of these calls, and from what I've been able to see, have been unable to get any answers as to why certain things are being
called the way they've been called. Thanks Michelle. Yeah, controller controllables is Branis sch Metz his favorite saying all goes down, nothing eventually given by the Refereegan too easily gone down by olive Ya asking for the yellow card. And if that's not a yellow card, and that's the simulation of a yellow card that both MLS, the Premier League all around the world is trying to stamp out asking for a fellow professional to get a yellow card. And that goes
back to consistency of the ref It's in the referee's face. That's a rule that we all know. That's definitely a dive and if that's a foul, how is Christians not a foul on the other side. And we don't want to sit here and talk about referees all night, but it's changed the course of this game and the tempo as well. Bo Goosh has it substitute in the nineteens. We'll whip it in with his right foot, comes high and long, collected by Seph and Frey bopped it for one second, collected it.
The sound has come out. Got to find a equalizing goal here five minutes ago in regular time, we'll see how much the referee gives. My gut would tell me it has to be over ten minutes based on the amount of time wasting and the injuries. We'll just see JP has it breaking ball from center to this near side the right and that's a challenge by Pelasios foot up. Eventually the hand goes to his chest pocket. Out comes the yellow card, yellow car for Pelasios. Dangerous play by the LAFC left back.
We'll see if his eye was on the ball or just a plision of bodies. Foot was high struck the face of Alex Roldon. That's a good switching player and I think he just nicks them a little bit. I'll follow through the forearm almost as well. It's not a malicious player, but that foot is up at head level. It's a yellow carden. But you think about the course of this game. If those yellow cards are handed out when they should have been, that challenge doesn't happen, and it's not a dangerous player.
I have to hold back. You have to expect that the referee is going to actually make the call. Eighty seventh minute here at lumin Field Sounders trailing one goal to Niel Ladero twenty yards from the end line, six yards pinched in from this near sideline to've be an In swinging free kick with his left foot and it comes short, flicked on by Christian Rolldon, headed clear
by hollings Head. It's been a solid presence on that right back position of LAFC, both in the open play and set pieces as he presses Rossnak. Foul given by the referee. As LAFC came in transition they pressed high quickly. The referee gives another free kick for the sounder. They're gonna have to
find some good delivery and they find a goal. JP and support with Ladera go short to JP, back to Ladera a better angle now with his left foot ripped in towards that front post, or gets ricocheted off strikes in the goal by Rossnak. Referee already gave it handball on Ruydiez. Crowd momentelly jump on their feet, finished by Rosnik just lashed it in the back of the net with his left foot, but off the hand of Ruydiez. It's going to be a free kick for LAFC. As we inch closer to this ninety
minute mark, we'll keep our eyes on the board down below. A couple of further changes by LAFC. We're starting to see them make some final changes. Aaron Long what was the sun doing with Netman's national team player looks at the Sounders. You have season to go to l e FC a couple of years ago. Ok Holdon comes back to Jackson Reagan. Sounders have to go forward, not back. They have to find this oh this goal to tie it up. Rusnak has it. Pressure by LFC is good. Sounders need
to kind of change things up. That's imagination. Paul goes into the foot of Alex Roldan, comes whye to Christian Roldan onebi one versus Pelacio's good challenge by the LFC left back bau gush and support right from the sounder's bench. Polasios drives forward. Paul goes along to Olivea find some time and space as new gets back in position. LFC no real hurry to go forward. He's have to see some of these final minutes out A. Wonga tries to wriggle
free knock it through Jackson Reagan sound has come away. Then can they go forward now? Kili ons middle of the field. Referee doesn't give anything. Get some help from the assistant referee on either side or the middle of the fields. A clash of bodies its keeling and ruddiez Mario goes down trying to stretch some cramp try to waste a few more valuable seconds on the clock and the Rave Green are fighting to continue their journey in the Audi twenty twenty three
MLS Cup playoffs. Tonight's result will determine if the Sounders will move on to the Western Conference Finals, should they advance. Tickets will go on sale tomorrow at ten am. Head to soundersfc dot com slash tickets for on sale information. After the match, Sounders do find a way back into it, It's on December second, next Saturday, six thirty pm. Kick read Baker Whitey getting itself ready, getting final instructions for Brian Schmetzer or attack minded left back.
In these final minutes we now a number of games for injury dub of Dallas. It's long and see who the other changes. It's gonna be changes for l E f C as well. Ali Vera comes on and then for Aaron long As sprints on to try and defend this birinus Rebaker white It comes on for new so it's more of an attack minded move forward the Sounders on that left back spot like for like switch Valencia and Aaron Long on the field for l e f C. As the ball goes back to Jackson Reagan eight
minutes extra mile stopper time is gonna be eight minutes. It was a little short, but these Sounders have time find this equalizing goal. They do find it. It goes over time two fifteen's followed by p ks. Sounders need to find that goal. JP has it with Resnak quick turn top left corner of the box, goes into ours. Ladero cuts past Mario once you collect it by Rudy Yes, hustling. Harrying goes back for Reed ba erwhits and whips it in. Well. Good ball by Reat Baker, Whites and Rudy
has On. The follow up goes over the end line. Goalkick for LAFC. Sound has continue to trail one goal Janil. That's good play for the Sounders there, it's last ditch efforts right now. You see hereon Long come in and with his first touch a diving header to clear that ball away with the LFC other defenders and goalkeeper just applauding it. Coming into this game at
such a high tempo. You see the recovery from Reed, Baker and you thought that change might come ten fifteen minutes ago to provide a little aerial threat in the when the balls are going to be stretched forward as well. And will that moment of magic for the Sounders happen here with eight minutes of stoppage
time. But this ball has to start being swung in and we've asked it all season winning the center back's going to get forward and that ball is just going to be dumped up top because now with LAFC playing five in the back, it's gonna be really tough to break them down without any size in that box. Heis rolled on this near side the right come square to JP's control, pressed by Billy Sanchez. LFC shifted to a three at the back and
was a five defensively now ear long sitting in the middle. All comes in cleared by Mario sitting on the right of the three center backs, picked up by Jackson Reagan. We're gonna slide Jackson Reagan up. Is he gonna get a chance to get on the end of some of his crosses read Baker White.
He goes towards the inline hit by Ladero or Philly Sanchez goes out for a Sounders corner kick Loodero with it read Baker, Whiting and support go short to read Baker, Whiting brings into his right foot, clips it in well headed, cleared by Mario, cleared again by Bogush. You'll find Alex Roldan. It's gonna go all the way back to Stephan Fry Rossneck in support and this nearside the right comes to Russneck. THEFC sitting five on their back line.
Ball gets clipped into Yamo's up comes off his chest inside the box, goes into Ludero left corner of the box, square to ruy Diaz. Bure comes in, seeing Rebaka white and trudging off the field. In that far side, he picks up another niggling injury man Schmtz needs to see it potentially make a change. Ro's neck has it's gonna clip it in or by Yamar goes to ruy Diaz. Sound is currently down to ten men. Ladero has it farst side the left comes back to Alex rolled on comes across to Rosneck
strike and this a crossbond just over another good saved by Cripo. He's made a couple of wonderful saves in this second half. Get another great shot by Rossneck Wee Baker White are just gonna be a presence now carrying an injury, he trudged off the field. He was pushed back on by the Sounders staff. Ball comes in headed by Jackson Reagan, collected by cray Poe. Four
minutes left of eight sounds. He to find a bit of magic. Almost found it with Rusnak been prolific in the last couple of weeks, seven game winning goals this season. The ball goes long Jackson Reagan collects it off his chest, square to Rosnik fastide the left. The Darrow in support. Sounds have to go quicker with some speed. You're gonna find this goal or goes to Alex Roldan brother Christian in support goes inside of Christian Kenning. He reads
it again, knocks it out. Will be a Sounders throwing. It's all about speed now for the Sounders. It's uncle just adjusts Alex Roldan's position. Sounds need to speed up the plate. Three minutes remaining of eight minutes of extra time. All needs to go into the box. Jamo's got his hand up because Alex rol Dan, trying to find a better angle, goes in short to laderum will needs to go in for the Sounders and she comes here. Can Alex Roldan could he mimic the magic of La Galaxy Baull gonna go
long and Christian roll Dan find himself on the end of it. Two and a half minutes left, ball goes in long, clipped off by and away by Kiolini, Jackson Reagan clicks it furtherest man back right now goes into Rui DZ comes in headed clear by Ili Sanchez. We'll flicked to Bowonga Sounds. Need to retreat now, need to work it through one be one with Jackson Reagan, JP tracking Bogush the longer strikes it easy say by Friy. Not
what Charundelo would want. Wanted maybe to run into the corner. Kill some more seconds off the clock, remaking whiteness to flight himself in this spot. Look to be off side. What goes into Ladero pushing the back easy free kick and seeing it so many times Ladero just feeling the pressure going down free kick for the Sounders. Go ahead. I mean I'm sending Stephan Fry here. This might be one of the last plays of this game. Get another big body in that box. Read Baker can't move right now. He is
a body. You gotta get guys inside the box LAFC with nine defenders inside the box and we still have one, two, three, four outside of the picture. Send them all forward and rebake. A white needs to get out. Don't be off side, just stand on the top of the box if you can't retreat the liability about there. The sound has put in some good delivery, Ladaro. Let's find some magic go square to JP strike over
the top. What a waste for the sounders. All over the top had a chance to be delivered in with the big men in the box, and it's slashed over the top for an LFC. Goalkick with Discount Tire get thirty percent short of average weight time when you buy a book online at discount tire dot com. Cray po ball on his six yard box l EFC pushing out. It's gonna be the final seconds of Nicolodero's career at the Sounders and the Sounders find that last bit of magic ball gets popped up into the air.
Jordan Morris challenges Ball, says and bounds to Bowonga locks it down the line. So from Friday's to sprint and find that ball quickly final thirty seconds sick and the Sounders find it needs to hurry up here, find the ball up the field, knock it up long, crowds forcing GP. It does go long to Jordan Morris, headed clear by Mario, back to bow Wonga to Elie Sanchez. Entire LFC bench on their feet, good by by JP finds Ladera. In transition they find a bit of magic ball goes square to Russneck
thirty yards from golf. Let's get the ball in the box. Can it be? JP put some good delivery and goes in easily kicks up a crappo and that will likely be that. The referee takes a look at his watch and Brad just a disappointing night. And there's the referees whistle as LAFC celebrate on the bench and the Sounders on their knees. Their season comes to an end off the back of a Bowonga goal in the first half. In transition, what a bitter, bitter evening for the Sounders. Yea playoff soccer.
Brad could come to such an abrupt end. To see Rosneck sitting in the middle of the field. We'll see Ladero just head down trudging around because you see the Sounders just defeated right now. You never want to leave this stadium with another team winning and advancing in a playoff situation, and I feel for the guys. The Sounders gave it everything they had tonight. Cropole made three or four massive saves. If that ball flies one or two inches either way,
the Sounders get out of here with a victory. But it all goes back to that first Jordan Morris chance where Cropole, yes, he makes a fantastic save. But at the end of the day, it's the playoffs. It's yet another one goal game. In these playoffs, all the teams it's been one goals, one goal except for Columbus, and we talked about it. It was a last minute winner and to see what it means to be
a defensively good team, that's what wins you championships. You keep it to zero, you find your way through and it was a bit of magic from Buwoga. But for the Sounders, they'll be disappointed in the way that this season ended tonight, especially here at home. It's a different story when you don't get the result away from home. But this one will not sit well with the Sounders, especially the way that they played tonight. I don't think
there was really a bad spot or anyone that was a glaring issue. Was one mistake on the night that caused them and not and then the ability not to finish in the first couple of minutes of the game. So hats off to LAFC Sounders with a fantastic season. It'll be a couple questions asked. Do we see the big send off for Nico and Raoul and avieri Ariaga. Who knows what happens in this offseason, but this will be the last time
that this group is altogether here tonight. We'll tell you some question marks of other players. Montero it there. We're gonna see them again in twenty twenty four. But let's just take a moment talk about Nico Ladero. What a player for this club. He communicate it to the fans that he would not
be coming back in twenty twenty four. Eighty assists, leading all Sounders players, forty three more than number two from one hundred and ninety one games played, forty nine goals, ninety one assists in his MLS career, eleven assists again this year four MLS Cups, two MLS Cup wins, and of course CCL last year. We're at take a moment and just talk about Ladero and the impact he's had on this club, on this city, on the success under Brian Schmetza. Yeah. Look, I mean in twenty sixteen we were
down. Okay, we've got Michelle down with Brian Schmetza. Thank you, Danny, Yes, coach. Disappointing night here, disappointing finished this game, disappointing finished to the season. But your team fought to the very end. What can you say about their performance tonight? Yeah, well that's kind of DNA of the Sounders. We don't quit. Certainly a proud franchise. These guys will be hurting for a while. But you know, at the end of the day, we said it over and over leading into this week,
the team that makes a play is gonna go through. You know, we had a chance early on with Jordan and their goalkeeper makes a save and then their guy went down and you know, scored a great goal. So one goal that's a difference. Adding to the disappointment of this evening is tonight was the last time we'll be seeing Nicholas Ladero in a Sounders uniform. What can you say about him and his contributions, not just tonight but his entire Sounders career. Yeah, well, look, he's made it known, but you
never know. It's sports. You never know what's gonna happen the next two months. But if it is his last match, then you know, we wish him the best. He's been a great performer for the club. It's always been a pleasure to watch him play, both involved as a coach but also as a fan. He's been great, so you know, wherever he ends up, you know we wish him well. The fans not wanting to retreat this evening, they were electrifying a message for them and they're you know,
unwavering support. All our fans are great. I mean, you know, they were cheering us on deilli En. It's unfortunate nothing wrote for us, but they're very good. They're very loud, and we love them. Coach, always appreciate you. Thank you for everything this season and thanks for making the time for us tonight. Thank you, Danny, Thanks Michelle. Yep, Brad Will we'll go to brun Schwetz's comments certainly disappointment. You can hear it in his voice. And you know him as well as I do.
It's disappointment for his players, disappointment for what they could have done potentially this year. Yeah, look, Kiolini's there making a point to come over and talk to Schmitz right now. And you know, it says a lot about the game. It says a lot about the player and the professional attitude. And LAFC knew that they were going to come in here and have to
battle, and they had a specific game plan. We're gonna wait for the break and we're gonna try and punish them when we can with our front three, and they did. But to piggyback on his you know comments about Nico, maybe the door is still open. We don't know. He kind of
didn't shut that notion down right there. But you know, twenty sixteen, I was a part of that group that was thinking dead last heading into the latter part of the season, and then Nico came in and we didn't lose a game from then on out, and he ends up taking us to an MLS Cup and we win our first MLS Cups as an organization, and I think his impact would still be massive, but it was that moment that solidified him as you know what we talk about as the greatest sounder ever and he
has won so much for this club and bled for that jersey, and he was a captain for a long time and then this year. You know, things change as you get older. I was a part of that. You're a part of that. But it's always fun and it's always heartwarming to look back at the legacy that you've left on a club and in such an impactful way. And I know that he would have wanted to start this game tonight, but he made an impact in the game and he showed that he can
still play. And you said it. Eleven assists this year. Not many players in Major League soccer have eleven assists asistance. He's six seasons with ten plus assists. The only season that he had was in twenty twenty one when he played less games. He's still got eight assists in twenty sixteen played.
It's just going to be disappointed as a fan, as an alumni of the club, like you, you know, we're proud that we have players like Nicoladero, who's played on this field at Lumen, who have entertained these fans. And as much as it's hard to see these players go the impact they've had year and year out, both on the field but off the field, and you can talk about that in the locker room as well. He's just been a great player in the locker room and in the community. Yeah,
I mean, the fans love him. He's a fan favorite and he always has been. And because he plays the Sounders way, they were able to find a player that leaves everything out there every single day. Man, when I was at the tail end of my career, Nico was, you know, in his late twenties, and he was still the guy that after training would be on the treadmill and they would have to literally rip him out of the training room to not train so hard. But that's just in his DNA.
The Sounders found a perfect fit there in it goes back to nineteen seventy four. You try to get those players, like Schmidt said, that fit the DNA of the team, the DNA of the city, and the DNA of the fans that say it's never over until it's over. And he has provided so many amazing moments and I'm just grateful to have been a part of that in some little way. Right only you know, two years, but the impact that he left on me and how we still communicate to this day.
Not many teammates can you have a it was only really a year and a half. How many teammates can you have a year and a half relationship with and still carries on five or six years later. And that's what's special about him because he knows so much about the Sounders. He knows the history and it likens the same player that Ziggy was able to find in Schiletto. And he was at Boca Juniors as well, and he knew every team, every player, how many points the Columbus crew had the year before, what
it takes to be in the playoffs. They knew the format. They weren't just getting a player that was coming in here to get a paid It was who fit the club's DNA. And he's been a steward of this club. And you know he'll be on the Mount Rushmore for the Sounders, you know, until someone else comes in and provides better stats. Then he has better leadership than he's provided and lifted more cups than he's provided. Well, let's
also talk about another Mount Rushmore candidate in Ruy Diaz. He hasn't started the last number of games came off the bench today, wasn't able to have the impact I'm sure that he would have really hoped for. There's been questions potentially on Ruidiaz this year. I think he's got another year in his contract, but things can change very quickly, as you mentioned, and you know, I think we have to just take a moment and just talk about Ruy Diaz.
There's gonna be a big off season for him. There's gonna be conversations had, and certainly for the Sounders. They're losing two at least one with Ladero Montero. We don't know what's gonna happen there. And then certainly Rudiaz, there's gonna be some questions asked as they would have been about what he's gonna be doing. I never I never played with Roul, but you know, I've seen him enough. I've covered enough games to know that he is
probably the prototypical assassin of a striker that I've ever seen. You know, you've had Montero that was a bit more creative, a bit more of a poacher. You bring in Oba who was speed and power. You have Clint. You know, you have a number of strikers that have played for this Sounders team, but no one has fit the mold that Rui Diaz. It's the unpredictability, it's the selfishness, it's the you know, awareness in and around the goal that no other Sounders player has worn that jersey like him.
And for five goals and one assist on the season, it's not only what eleven games started. It's just not good enough for him. And you just imagine if Raoul had been healthy throughout the entire year, he probably doubles those stats at least. And he's starting tonight and the Sounders possibly are in a
different position. But career wise, sixty four goals and twelve assists, massive, massive, number one in sound of stats, seventy eight goals in all clumps, one behind Montera, and it just it just says what a fear he's struck into every single team that he played against. And is there something still there? I don't think so for him with this club. I think it's time. You know, he's thirty three this year, he'll be entering, you know, is done with his contract and he'll, I think,
to have to move on from this Sounder squad. I'm not sure that he fits in there with the way that the Sounders finished the season with Jordan up top. I think that's how the Sounders move forward. And now the Sounders have to plug in those pieces. But you know, he still is warm to me. I never played with him, but he always makes a point to come say hello and have a conversation. And it speaks to like we talked about guys knowing about the legacy of this club, and he's just been
a fantastic striker and you hate no one can go out on top. Very often do players go out on top, And that's just how the game goes. You get older, things happen very very few times. Have you seen a player in any sport go out on top. Well, you talked about Carrott, both Ladero and Rudiez obviously disappointing for them not to start these games in the playoffs. Brian Schwetz has talked about it this week. But their attitude in practice, their attitude in the locker room, you could see them
working their tail off on the field. All of us as fans, as members of the club, we've gotta be proud of the efforts they put in both on the training field and on the field. Tonight well, disappointing night for all of us, but we have to move on. Season comes to an end, heartbreaking one. They'll loss l EFC. Well. Thanks for everyone involved in tonight's broadcasts and broadcast throughout the year, Terry Ryan, Keeley, Dunning, Kevin k Michelle Ludkov, Course on the sidelines and of course

Quick reaction, guys, now that we're about to start our twenty five minute therapy session on tonight in the season. Yeah, well, I'll try to talk about the referee right away, but uh, you know, just absolutely
bummed. And you know, I know what it's like being at the end of the in the locker room right now for the guys, and you know, not sure whose contract's going to be renewed, who's gone, and you're looking around at your brothers and you know, everybody you've been fighting tooth and nail for all season and to end like this because no one's planned for this, you know, to end today and tomorrow you're cleaning out your locker.
It's it's a crazy, crazy time. So mix of emotions and then frustrations with how the game went and you know, it seemed like it was very a one sided refereeing tonight and you know, we'll get into that too. Yeah, we'll get into that. We have we have twenty three minutes to talk about the referee tonight. But yeah, just just an absolute bummer for for everybody, and you know the fans who you know, such a great
season too. We had a men to start and then you know, we lost our way a little bit in the in the middle of the season with how things are going, we couldn't get results that we wanted. And you know, Sounders still found a way to keep themselves in the hunt and you know, found their way into the you know, semifinals tonight and you know, good LAFC team, but the Sounders created enough chances to win this game
tonight and you know, just frustration. Yeah, you got to finish those chances though, right, So I do give LA a lot of credit. Defensively, they were very good on all of the crosses from the right side with both rolled ons the left side Nico Chew. They got to every first ball, second ball, third ball, and then on restarts they were strong.
They held position really well once they got the goal. You know, again seeing Keiolini, you know he's been around forever, it just seemed like they were happy with the one goal lead and they were gonna lock it down and they and they did it. So yeah, starting the season and going into the Champions League play was pretty spectacular, groundbreaking for an MLS club, and then international call ups or in the middle of the season and injuries and
all that kind of stuff, but they kept you know, it's so funny because we all as fans of this team kept thinking, well, we're not having a great year, but we were never blow fourth place and enduring a lot of changes to the team, and so you know, I remember Brian about a month ago saying to the media saying, well, we're in second place, right, so the team, you know, there's a lot of teams that would love to have had a season like this, but not exactly
the way we wanted it to go. And and frankly, there was enough talent in R. Eleven and the bench that you would have hoped we could pull one out. And I thought a goal was coming. I thought when Nico came on, I thought those were good subs at the right time. When Nico came on, he brought energy. When Marrul came in, I thought his first two or three touches were good and I thought he was going to bring some energy as well. But again I give I give l a
FC some real good credit for what they did defensively. They were and talking to Brian yesterday, he thought, whoever wins this game is going to end up in the final. I'd say LA gets past Houston and then we'll see what they do in the MLS company, do you think that as fans we have too high expectations or is that something the Sounders We expect those expectations right,
to expect to win. That's a great question, you know. Yeah, no, there's it's and as fans we always have higher expectations, right, but I think the organization is set a standard right for sure that we have to be there, right. Yes, yeah, Adrian, Adrian plays humble Pie a lot, but he wants to win all the time, and he expects to win all the time. And he doesn't think he needs to spend billions of dollars, millions and millions and millions of dollars. He thinks
he can do it. I like their system. I like, you know, they get college guys, they get academy guys, they get DPS. The dp's this sure, it's tough. You know. We saw it early on with Sporting Kansas City where Peter Vermes didn't have his first choice lineup, right, and then they had the best record in the Western Conference when Polito came back into the lineup. Yeah, yeah, and so so seasons.
You never can script them, right, You can never script them. You can you can hope that, Hey, on paper, we looked great this year. You would think Seattle if someone said, hey, this is your team, can they win the MLS Cup? Yeah? Absolutely, But it doesn't always go the way you hope. I do like that. Brian says this a lot. That team never gave up. There was never a hang your head and uh and roll over. And I've seen MLS teams do that. They were in it until the last seconds of the game. So and
then on our roster we got ten local players too. I do love that, you know, I heard it. We are claiming the roll dands though, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. And you know what a great stat in the final eight teams in the MLS, the Sounders have had fifty four percent of their minutes played all season by American players. And you know a lot of guys who played pro and were American have criticized many for many years, and we got to develop the American player and the Sounders fifty
four percent of the minutes played were by American players. So the evolution of American soccer and the fact that we had two dp's on the bench is another example of the evolution of MLS soccer because what five even three years ago, how many teams have two dps sitting on their bench. Yeah, And that's what separates Major League soccer from maybe Premier League, et cetera, is the competition and the bench and the depth of roster. So it's it's pretty exciting.
I mean, you know, when they came in in the fifty seventh and seventy first minutes, they definitely you know, tried to change the game. But because that's not easy to do, is it. No, And you look at to bench those guys and we're going these guys Jackson, Reagan, yeah, Tensio are the main guys I think of who have you know, really put their name on positions this year? Yeah? Regan, I
think he's got from first year to second year. His leap forward was tremendous, right, and if he can keep going and I don't see any reason why he can't be the next Chad Marshall in this club. And he and Gomez Androtti were very very good together, and Fry was good. So they've got a lot of pieces coming back that can help them, and now they've got to get maybe a few more pieces well. As you guys can tell listening at home, we have a lot to talk about about tonight, about
the future of the team, about the season as a whole. We'll be back with that, the EQC Play of the match, and more after the break. I'm not the opening goal for ALFC quick because you liking transition. Boolonga finds the back of the net to put LAFC one goal up here at Lumanfield. That was our Emerald Queen
Casino play of the match, the betting capital of the Northwest. Excuse me, who, it's been a long night, guys. It really only took LAFC one turnover and one moment of brilliance. I was talking to Brad and Danny a little bit. How much would you love to have a guy like Bwanga who it just takes one moment of brilliance to change the entire game. Well, we've had those guys, right, We've had a Clint Dempsey or a Obafemi or or Raoul or Nico, and we've had a lot of those
play. We've been Marcus says, you know our expectations too. I We've had some really fun, great talented players to watch. But a guy like that who scores like that is special and it's uh, you know, I, like I said, I was behind the goal and his change of pace was was you went from first gear the second gear and no one could get anywhere near him. Yeah, that would be delightful week in and week out to see someone like that coming and play. But we've had those guys and
they've you know, Clint Dempsey to me was a lot of funny. Was I. Brad said some great things about Ruy Diaz is an assassin of a forward. Some of the goals that obah Femi Martin scored were just spectacular. We're, you know, sixty yard punt and he turned the ball with one touch and then hit it in some of the angles you hit it from. So yeah, we've been very fortunate here, but yeah, you always want somebody who can put twenty one goals in the back of the net. Those
are those make for a happy stations. Unfortunately, is something that was kind of the story of this season. I don't want to overstate it. Like Pete said, we have been in fourth place since the beginning of the season. We've been succeeding. We had the best minimum of fourth placemcond minimum of fourth place throughout the entire season. Stephen Fry totally robbed, not even in the top three for voting for goalkeeper of the Year. We'll get into that
later. But the goals have been hard to come by. Just that's just being honest. Goals it's been a little bit hard to come by. And when we go into the off season that may be a discussion for you know, if Nico doesn't come back, which he's announced, but we don't know, Like Brian Schmutzer said, we're sports are crazy. You never know. You never know a player can you know he could have come here and seen
the fans and you just you never know. But putting on your Craig wible hat is the attack really where we need to start, you know, reforming and whatever or do we take what we have now and just you know, Jordan learning to do the hould up play like we have some options. What would you guys do well? I do want to state that Jordan almost scored twice, you know at zero zero, right, which keeper made a great say, especially on the second one. I thought it was in when he
finished it. I thought he went high their goalkeep right and a great kick, yeah he had. He was super solid. All Sounders fans hate him right now for sure, and they're going to be cussing his name as they fall asleep tonight if they can. But that's the way it goes as a goalkeeper. And this game is is is a really hard game, right,
It's hard to score. And that's why the forwards have always made way more money than I have when I was standing in the neck, no matter how good I was, they were always making way more than me, the forwards. Right, it's the hardest position, and they demanded the most money, right, And that's just the way it is. The creative players and the ones who just out and outright goal scorers, right, they demand the most
money. And you kind of touched on a little bit, Keilly, And you know when you this is so final like, right, you know, tonight, all of a sudden you went from planning another two three weeks of the season and next thing you know, you're clearing out the locker room. And when you're sitting around the locker room, you're looking around the faces and you're wondering who's going to be here next year. Yeah, it's crazy.
Coach, I have a question for you. As a head coach of Seattle, you for many, many years, and as a coach who has you know, led teams in very important championship type games, when you lose, what is it like as a coach being in that locker room? Yeah? No fun. You thank the seniors, right, you can try to console them a little bit. Sometimes at that moment, I'll let some of the seniors talk. I'll certainly make sure they get a chance to talk to and
address the team in the in the post postseason meeting. They kind of know that's their time to say whatever they want to say. But yeah, guys are sick about it, and they don't know their future, right, they don't know can they continue to play? I mean not everybody gets have the Ale Troll, don you know, the Cozy Tafari career, right, and they want to keep playing. And so some of those guys in the locker room Yeah, Marcus is right, He's seen it way more than I ever
have. But yeah, you just try to you try to help them through that moment. You thank them, right, you thank them for everything. And Brian, I'm sure is doing a good job of that. But it's a hard reality of pro sports. Not everybody gets to play it at this level. You talk about the goals. Kiley Seattle scored forty one this year. That goal tonight was the fifty fifth. If we had fourteen more goals, that changes everything. I mean that's a lot of goals. That's a
lot of goals in a what thirty four game season, regular season. But but yeah, the goals are and Marcus is right, it's just so hard. You got a big cat like this guy with gloves on in the goal, it's hard to get the ball around him. Case. Do you guys remember that movie. Yeah, yeah, the Marcus could have played in the Big Green, you would have been for sure. Maybe if they do a remake, Marcus could be the goalie. But you got a big guy like Marcus who can cover a lot of area as quick as a cat. Right,
it is very, very difficult to score those goals. So and Jordan did have his chances and and he got eleven on the season. And but that's tough. It's tough and trying to find every you know, holy cown, Marcus. In the time that since you've been a pro, so many more pro teams have come in. Just look at the Middle East, right, and and so everybody is hunting and going to pay top dollar for that
goal scorer. And and you know, look at what I think, you know, when Jordan Moore scor and they had just had their son and he went running too the camera and he did the t for his little guy. And we've watched Jordan Morries do a lot of great things, right, and and we kind of forget that, you know, he has scored a lot of goals for us for many years, and he's come off to ACLS. So it'll be interesting to see if you if you're Craig Wible, that's Marcus.
I like your coin about people going ahead going to bed tonight, kind of cursing about you know, that goalkeeper for LA. But I think for Craig and Sean and Corey, they're thinking all the time, where do we find that next guy? Right? So of course that's why they make the big money right, yeah, yeah, yeah, not easy, But you're right. That locker room's tough, it's solemn. There's a lot of humility though in that locker room, a lot of humility, which is part of
what makes the Sounders so wonderful as an organization. It's a very humble organization from the top down. Yep, pivoting a little bit to the refereeing. We will get to that in the next segment, Marcus, I promise we will talk through it. We'll be right back after the break for more on Ted Uncle, our best friend. Welcome back to the postmatch show your Sounders falling one nil to LAFC in the Conference semi final. I'm here with Marcus Hanneman and Pete Ewing, and I think Marcus especially
is pretty excited to uh, we're not excited. I don't want to say excited. He's ready to break down the unfortunate referering situation. Yeah, it was really frustrated as a Sounders fan. You had been as a Sounders fan, yes, you'd have been sitting there going, what is happening right now? I mean we got booked for everything and rarely a yellow card came out.
Fowls that were on one end, you know, it could have been clearly a you know, rolled in was through, you know from the angle beat his man and the guy went down and took roll down and one yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, and nothing and then he goes down the other and there's like an innocuous challenge in the referee. I think book our guy. You know. I mean, it was a really frustrating night from a
sounder's point of view for sure. Yeah, those are hard because it's hard to get a sense of what he's going to call and what he's not going to call, and then he does something that's unpredictable, and I think he really He did miss the one on Christian rolled on and that was in a fantastic spot. It was outside the box, but it was about six yards
from the touch line. Seattle would have had a great opportunity. Those are the kind of free kicks that Nico loves to smash as hard as he can, bend him toward the goal and hopefully you get a little bit of chaos in front of the goal. So yeah, he was a bit and it didn't get completely out of hand. It didn't get out of hand as far as players losing it, but he was just un predictable and inconsistent. Unpredictable is a great word. That's actually what Danny Jackson said on his call.
It's you either want to be predictably bad or predicted predictably good and consistent and consistent. So even if you're you know, making consistently bad calls, at least the players know that you're being consistent. You know what Brian Schmetcher will say, though, if you heard this, he'd say, yeah, but we're not gonna blame the right. Absolutely, he wouldn't allow it. No, we can't blame the referee. But when you look at the game and
the only thing people are going to talk about it'll be broad. Yeah, especially as a Sounders fan, is how bad the refereeing was. And you know my wife, Amanda, she always made a great point. She goes, you know why referees are so bad because it gives us something to talk about. Oh good, Well there you go. I like that, Amanda. Yeah, she's way smarter than me. Well, thank you Sounders fans

Sounders FC Soccer is presented by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of
Sounders FC. I am here with coach Pete Fewing and Marcus Hanneman. Guys, as we close out this show and we close out the season, I'm gonna pull out a for all you Bravo watchers anyone who watches Real Housewives. At the end of every season, they give a rose and a thorn, and I would like to ask you, guys, what your rose for the season is and what your thorn is. Coach I will go to you first. I think just getting into the Champions League, going and getting that experience,
it has to start somewhere. It sets a bar, a new expectation. The glass ceiling gets raised up a little bit. So the fact that Granat we didn't get to win in that, but I think that I think the other positive is that the team never gave up and there were a lot of times where we're looking at the lineup thinking, wow, we are missing
a lot of talent and a lot of our starters. To Marcus's point, we've had a lot of young American guys playing, so those are all positives the thorn, I think, I you know, some of these that step and Frey had a great season. I thought our back line, you know, fifteen shutouts all year, and I think that was kind of left off the marker. I think that was something you you had said as well. And so that's a bit disappointing. And then tonight's disappointments disappointing to just not
go further. We've been in four MLS Cups and those are really fun. And so December night is not going to be a Sounders night. It's gonna be uh, it will be somewhere in Ohio. We do know that. Yeah, yeah, that's right, that's right. So so yeah, that's
it for me. Yeah, Marcus, Oh, I don't know. You look at a season like this, it's always going to end, right, It's always going to be sudden, right when you're in the playoffs, right, that's the you're always hoping to go on and you know that's always a disappointment, but that's just the way sports are, right, unless you win the whole thing, right, it's always just going to be this final,
We're done. Oh my gosh, like what just happened? And you know, everybody had these plans for you know, the next two three weeks and now we don't know what's going on. My highlight of the season, I think Pete kind of touched on a little bit. And the thing that I'm really proud of the Sounders is how many young guys we have and you know, playing for us, and you know, not just you know, on
the squad, but valuable minutes. Right the guys are in there who started tonight, you know, especially you know, Jackson, Reagan and Atensio. Those two guys, for me, that was kind of the highlight of the season, I think to see them and then not not just not just play tonight, but have a valuable, really important impact on the team. And
how much better they got all through the season. And you know, because Schetz gave him an opportunity and you know it's not always you know, a full game, but what can you give me, you know, And for Atensio that's easier because he's a midfielder. Okay, when Nico was tired or you know, he can go in. It's back four. You don't want to change right in your keeper. So getting those guys experience and for Jackson
to be able to get this many minutes at a young age. Yeah, you could see what he did tonight that was that was remarkable, you know. I mean, and you know they're not they're not there yet, but you know, their improvement has been is great. I'd love to see a tenco be able to you know, stronger in the air. Yeah, right, you know, because you stand next to Tensio and you're like, oh my gosh, you're way bigger than I imagine, right, Jackson Reagan.
You know, his understanding of the game, his positioning has improved so much this year, but also I think he should be better in the air, you know, And it's a it's a simple thing, right, and it's when you're headers and for a position like a center back, it's easy. But as a midfielder for Atensio, because he's got that size, I think that's the one thing that he really needs to get better at for next season. Well, top to add on to that, we've got a lot of
guys that were soccer players here, right that help develop this talent. Right, So Jim and McCaw at Seattle United, those guys were there before they came to the Sounders academy. Bernie James with Crossfire, right, Chance Fry with and Tom Bileck with east Side that you know, Jordan Morris came through
that Seth's bedal out in Tacoma with Washington Premiere. It is really cool as a kid who grew up here, you know, and we were season ticket holders in seventy four right and all the way through so through the Kingdom years and so to see young guys getting the chance. I do remember as a player seeing Alan Hinton coming out and watching us play and thinking we might get
a chance. So that is pretty cool. It doesn't you go a little south to Portland, you don't see a lot of kids from the Portland roster that grew up in Portland. We have a lot of young people get to come in here and you hear the Sounders come out onto the field. We're
very fortunate to be a part of this a Kille you mentioned it. The team always tries to do things the right way and you feel a part of it and you feel connected to it and the guys, the players also as well as the front office and the ownership they make that happen for our city. So we are fortunate that we are not some of these MLS teams where the crowd gets up and walks out Colorado, right, and and some of
those they can do better, right, And I'm not knocking them. I'm just saying, we have a really good thing here and don't underestimate how important that is for young players who you know throughout playing here, right, and for you like you have you know rolled in who went to su I mean that's a marketings so you don't have to do anything right, and like there is this path, right, We've got young kids like Intensio who didn't even go to college, right, who have now made their way into the first
team. You know those things and the kids who are playing in this area they have that, you know, they're like, oh, I've got this chance that you know, I can see the stepping stone when it's filled up with people from outside the area, it's harder to see that. Corey sins Or, one of the scouts, is in the stands at a lot of college soccer games. I see him all the time at SEATTLEU or at Washington, right, and he's even kind of drilling down saying, hey, is
there anybody at Seattle Pacific? So you're right, it gives kids an opportunity. Yeah, shout out to Corey Sincer. By the way, he joins our Monday comms meeting every every Monday, and he's always somewhere else because, like you said, he's scouting all over the place. I'm going to give my rose and thorn. My thorn is stuff and fry not winning goalkeeper of the year. I'm not going to get over that. It's ridiculous. He's a big reason, if not the main reason why we've been so successful this
season. And my rose is being able to work with all of you guys and being able to be you know, be your producer occasionally step in a host and you know it's it's really there's a larger Sounders family, and then there's a smaller Sounders of C broadcast family. And you guys make my life very easy. You make my job very easy. So thank you. We're lucky to do. It's I'm going to keep asking you for more tickets then, yeah, okay, all right, maybe slow down on the sideline past
