Welcome to the Sounders FC Premat Show presented by Provident Swedish. Tonight from the Emerald Queen Casino Bitch at Luminfield, your Seattle Sounders FC faced Saint Louis City SC Sounders FC Sucker is brought to you by Michelobultra ninety five calories and two point six grams of cards. It's only worth it if you enjoy it. The Provident Swedish Premat Show starts now. Hello everybody. The Rave Green are on an absolute tear rounding into form. Just as we reach the dog days

of summer soccer. Five wins in a row, seven games unbeaten, advancing in the US Open Cup, things are looking pretty copesetic in Sounders Land. That was my buzzword for the day. I had to get copesetic in there. Yep, I am Keey Donning. Welcome to the Sounders FC Premat Show presented by Providence Swedish official healthcare partner of Seattle Sounders FC. With me to break down all the action ahead of your Sounders taking on Saint Louis City at

Lumenfield. Sounders legend Brad Evans who is on his phone, and coach Pete f Ewing, formerly at the Helm of Sile's men's soccer team and now at mainstay on Sounders broadcasts. Jackson Feltz and Steve Zachawani will have the call. Congrats to Jackson on sitting in the big play by play chair. He's gonna do great and we will have the calls we get closer to kickoff at seven forty guys. I touched on the insane run of form the Sounders are on,

So let's start with that last match on the road at Austin. We talked about it off the air. It basically was a game where everything that could go right went right. Can you sort of break that down for us?

Yeah, And I'm on my phone because I think I'm addicted to the scores around the league and I constantly have to look at who's scoring, win, they're scoring, and it's a live table that really gets me going because I ultimately, you talk about this run of form and if things go right, you just want to know where the Sounders can be at the end of the night. Right. And Yeah, I mean, I think that game just went perfectly to plan. I think we're all a little nervous going into

Austin. It was a desperate team and to see the Sounders right, the Schmidt's had a game plan. Everything that he said worked out in that game. The subs that he made came on made a difference and everything went to play. You can't couldn't have asked for anything better. And like you said, what five five games winning streak and six seven unbeaten. I mean,

you can't ask for a better summer right now. And we've seen this from Sounders pass slow start, hot summer and then you know, you kind of get into playoffs and this season will tell itself its own story, and so we just have to always keep the faith and understand that when you're hot, you got to take advantage of it. Yeah. I was just talking with Alex Coldfield, a PR director, and just saying, holy cow, look

what's happened because this guy was falling at the beginning of the year. Social media was blown up and I not on it too much, but I get curious and everybody was fire Schmitzer or whatever. They're doing everything wrong. And now it's come back together, and hey, that's Brian Schmetzer, right, he brings this team together. He keeps pulling different strings he had. He's

had to make some tough decisions. The Austin game was a replay of the one a few years ago where we started five Defiance kids and rold Ruy Diaz subs in as Morris did, subs in and hits that cracker of a shot catches a goalkeeper off line from about forty yards out. So you're right, it went according to plan. And that's when you have a good team that can handle an assignment and handle you know, many fixtures right, a lot

of games in a short amount of time. And then you look at what we have now with this squad and the depth and guys are getting used to There's a a great line that Sir Alex Ferguson added to and it's it's forming norming, storming performing right. You form your team, you get guys to get norm used to the rotation. They're in that norming and they're they are

performing right now as well. So and then we're playing a team and I know Brian will think this, they're four nine and eleven right and having the tough ear fired their coach, and that they will not look past this game tonight. They can't yep, sophomore slot, We'll get more into Saint Louis City on our next segment. For now, let's move on to the Rave

Green and in particular their number thirteen. Jordan Morris. After slowed to start to the season, he now has nine goals and eleven matches across all competitions, and it kind of feels like where Morris goes, the Sounders are going. His run a form coincides with Seattle only dropping two of their last seventeen matches across competitions. Let's just have a little bit of a Jordan Morris love beest. What's going right for the end right now? I think it's a

testament to hard work and just determination. And a lot of questions were asked of Jordan at the start of the season. Is he went in in preseason and said I'm the number nine, right And the proof wasn't in the putting early on. He didn't score a goal in preseason, and so the coaches have to ask the question like it's a results now business. So if he's

not scoring, who's going to do it? They put in Raoul And at the time Raoul had you know, a handful of goals, and if he would have doubled that tally, would have been in double digit goals at the end of the season, and then all of a sudden, Jordan steps up to the plate and now he's shown that he's a number nine. He's playing with attitude, and if this run keeps up, I mean, there's no

reason why he can't have twenty goals at the end of the season. We talked early in the year, the only way that teams really do well in the playoffs is if they have a guy that's got eighteen to twenty goals. Yeah. Right. You don't see many really good playoff or championship teams where they the leading goal scorers got six, seven, eight, nine goals.

Just doesn't happen that often. And then you need a guy on the other end in Albert Rusnak who needs ten, fifteen, eighteen assists, right, and as we're looking right now, there's no reason why both of them can't do it. But Jordan's playing with a chip on his shoulder. He had the baby. I think he's comfortable now. He's getting used to that rhythm of being a dad and the sleepless nights and what he needs to do to

prep. But he's a guy who's playing a little bit angry right now, and I'd love to see it out of him, that little attitude shift. Yeah, I agree, he does have a chip on his shoulder because he's been questioned quite a bit. What I love is the quality of the goals. Some on head ER's, some going one on one with a keeper flying at him and just lifting it up over the goal keeper left foot, left foot, right foot exactly, and then also tucking it between the keeper's legs,

and then his strength. He's had a couple of goals where he's holding off a defender and running as fast as he can to the goal and a goalkeeper's coming out to cut the line and he's totally in the zone and it's really fun to see. And and you know he's rewarded. Brian Schmetzer. You know, that's not a popular decision. Ruida is out the guy who's making the most money on the team and putting Jordan Morris in. And that's a that's a hard decision for a coach to make, but he trusts his

instincts and it's paying off. Let's talk about that a little bit more. I know that fans were a little bit frustrated it took Jordan a little while to sort of get into form this season. Can you talk about the importance of being a coach and having patients, especially with like your goal scorers or your strikers, you're attacking player. Yeah, because the confidence is huge for goal scorers. They've got to they've got to make sure that they've got to

know they're going to put it in the back of the net. But they need people around him that are going to put in the back of the net. And Jordan is you know, you don't see his emotions too often, but he is a very, very competitive guy. I remember him as a kidlmieved to be at this level you have to you do. And and his pride in his craft as well, and uh and making sure he's a goal scorer. That's his job. He's got to do that to help this team

advance. And Brad's right, the teams that get to the MLS Cup have eighteen nineteen goals twenty goal scorer. So I think Brian just you know, sometimes stays away from him because you got to treat every player a little bit differently, and a word or two, Hey, let's go get one today. You're gonna get your chance. You're gonna put it away. But Brian has done a good job of giving him enough time to get into that rhythm. And now he's in the rhythm, and now our team knows it,

the fans know it, and the league knows it. Now. I think there's number nine's are so finicky and they're so they're just a different breed, right, And I think as a coach sometimes you almost have to cater a couple training sessions to that player to make them know, like, no, you're the guy, you're gonna do it, You're gonna do It's it's a lot of man management right at the end of the day. Yes, you want to be able to coach the entire roster, but the guy that puts

the ball on the back of the net is what wins you games. So sometimes you got to almost switch up things in practice, I think, and make it really easy for them to get used to putting the ball in the back of the net because you know, when one, two, and three come, then the floodgates open. That's a crazy side of every sport, right, that everything has where you just need that one catch, you need that one home run just to get hot and remember what that feeling feels like

and both him and and Bruce Neck have found that form. Yeah they haven't. What's fun is none of his goals have been lucky. They've all been quality. It's it's not like he's gone in for one and it's bounced, come off the keeper's chest and it's gone off his knee. His quality has

been really high timely as well. His game winner against Austin on Saturday was his twenty third game winner, which is best for second all time for the club, behind Roaldridez with twenty four, so he could tie that record today. Healthy competition between those two. When you said, yeah, moving on to today, Delta starting eleven, Brad, Who's I'm sorry? I'm actually gonna have Brad do the road lineup. I promised coach would be doing city SC, so we will do Saint Louis CITYSC. In the next segment,

can we do Sonder's lineup? Delta starting a lineup. Brian Schmetzer puts out, he is usual four two three one, your captain, Fry in goal, Alex Holdon, you're right back. Reagan and Bell are your two center backs. Knew who you're left back? Christian rolled On and Vargas will sit in the middle of the park in front of the back four Rothrock on the right, Rusnick in the middle, Chew on the left and Jordan Morris nine

goals up front. Amazing. Diving quickly into the prominent Swedish team health report Broudilia Rodriguez still with hamstring, but then Stuart Hawkins and Josh Attensi are both out on international duty. Attensio named an alternate to the Olympic squad. Hawkins name to the roster for the upcoming U twenty Conky Cap Championship. Tonight's Team

Health Report presented by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders FC. What an honor to be named the Olympic team so cool, guys, thoughts excited for him? Yeah, I think it's incredible. I mean, those are the moments as a player when you're a young player. I was left off the twenty three for the for the Olympics when I was playing, and I knew I had an outside chance, but I just hadn't gotten called in enough.

I played in the Under twenty World Cup. But then that's the next thing that's up, right, So for Stuart getting called in the next thing

will be the Olympics, and I know that Jordan. They wanted Jordan, Sounder said no, And that might be why Jordan's got a little bit of a chip on his shoulder right now too, because imagine being Pete's age, You're seventy five, and you're sitting at home having a you know, a bevy and you think back, like, oh, man, that would have been amazing to walk out and have that opening ceremony because you just don't get

it. It's you're never gonna get a chance to experience it again. So I feel for Jordan, but at the same time, I'm so excited for Atensio, just even if he doesn't play a minute, to walk out there and to be a part of that. Yeah, Like I remember my group that did go from the twenties to the under twenty three, Sasha Cuestion, especially Robbie Rodgers. I mean, those guys all got the Olympic tattoo of the symbol of that year. So it's something that is really really big for

a player and just what a momentous occasion. And I can't wait to hopefully, you know, you never know, you can get on the pitch, even if you're an alternate seventy five. Oh sorry, seventy six. Hey, that's really important, thank you. Really, what's great in your seventy six is that you'll you lose your mind and you think you're in your early sixties. So it's I mean, I thought it was your thirty fifth birthdays.

Yeah, yeah, there we go right to the Olympic team. In Brad's point, I got cut before I got there, right, But we went and trained at the Olympic team. And to walk into the gift shop because they weren't passing out any gear for us, and to see the Olympic logos, there's something spectacular about that. And so you're right, and you represented our country and it's just such a that's such a thrill for any player. And you're right, it's a lifetime memory. You can say that the

rest of your life, even if you're an alternative alternate. I know guys that were on the seventy sixteen that we boycotted and they didn't get to play. Jeff Stock, former sounder, was one of them, and that was a crushing thing for them because they didn't get to participate in the Olympics. So they did end up at the White House and that was cool. They got some gear, but they didn't get to do it, and so good

for Josh Atensio for being in the mix. Really exciting stuff. We are just about thirty minutes from kick here at the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumenfield. Tonight's countdown to Kickoff is presented by Emerald Queen Casino, the entertainment capital up the Northwest. Take a short break, We'll get back, Brad. I promise you will. We talked about Sounders lineup. Brad, can you give us Saint Louis City? What are they putting out tonight? Saint Louis. They'll have Burkie in the net, who's been so fantastic. He is just a top goalkeeper. He just can't find any rhythm. This year. He'll have a front four of Nilsen, Totland, Hyberd and Parker. The mainstay Tim Parker, MLS veteran midfielders Durkin, Edward Logan, who's a fantastic midfielder. He's a guy

that the Founders have to watch the night climb. Kajima and then Vasilev the goal scorer from this past weekend for Saint Louis and Thorsen up top as well. So a bit of a mixed lineup from Saint Louis. They just can't find consistently. They've got some injuries and when you look down their bench, there's no one that really sticks out, and so I think the Sounders have to smell that tonight and recognize that this is a massive opportunity to take three

points here at home. Yeah, they're missing Klaus, their top goal scorer. He's got five goals. You know, you talk about the goalkeeper. He is having a great year. But it's shocking they've given up forty three goals. They're a twelve goal differential. They've scored thirty one, so a bit of anemick on the goal scoring side, but they've given up I mean, forty three goals is a lot when you're maybe that's why he has been

looking so good. He's had a tremendous amount of action. Yeah, they always said that about Stephan Frye when whenever they talk about goalkeepers who got selected to the it's like, how many saves are they making? But Steph doesn't

face that many shots. He doesn't have to make that many saves. So instead of choosing that guy, Yeah, you can't give an All Star to all four defenders, but typically Sounders defense so good that Steph doesn't have to face his many shots and he's not getting one hundred and fifty one hundred and sixty saves you know, every six months, and he'll take it. Yeah, he'll absolutely take He'll the shutouts come with it. Yeah, he'll take

it. And it also doesn't take into consideration good positioning, so you're not gonna see him diving as much because he's positioning is so good. Yeah, now it's time for our for tonight's sharp vision opponent Outlook. We sort of started talking about it last year. St. Louis really looks like world beaters. Now the guy who led them to that first place finish, Bradley Carnell, is out, having been fired just a few weeks ago. Coach, I want to get your opinion on this too soon to pull the trigger on

coach's sophomore season, especially considering the success yet last year. Well, they're twenty three games in four wins, nine losses, ten ties. You know, sometimes you can feel that you lose a locker room. Players can have an influence on the decision like that, but they're just not getting the wins, and and you know, sometimes you get a new coaching, you get that bump. They've just lost too in a row, Colorado and Vancouver both

games, you know, four to one they've lost. So yeah, it's tough after a great season last year, in their inaugural year, for them to get rid of them at this point. But clearly the wheels had fallen off and they had to make a change. And maybe you look and say, hey, what's different between last year and this year, and maybe he's lost the locker room a little bit. So yeah, it's a tough one. I think he's the third MLS coach to be fired so far this season,

maybe even the fourth. So yeah, I just think, you know, anytime I hear that there was an expansion team they did so well, then the next year they had a slump, I immediately go back to the Sounders. Yeah, and you have to just admire the success of this club and what it's been able to do since two thousand and nine. Obviously you had the history, but so did Saint Louis. Saint Louis had a history of a very very good you know, soccer city, and they had a

USL team that was very successful. There's a reason why they were chosen to come into Major League Soccer, the promise of them being a good competitive team. They just haven't shown it this year, and I don't I'm not sure if you can pinpoint one thing. The only thing I can think is that the inconsistency of the lineup and then you know, possibly a coach losing the locker room. But yeah, anytime you have four wins, you know,

more than halfway through the season, you're you're on the hot seat. It's it's a results based business, and you know when you I think it would have been different if he had been there for four or five years of a winning season and then he kind of has a slum. But this is an ownership group that's saying, no, we need results now, right, we need results now. The fans are showing up every week. Now we need results to come with it, and unfortunately the first player to get chopped is

usually the head coach. Yeah, well Brian Schpeester was saying early on when we were struggling, He's saying, our production meaning to take bun chops on the line every game. So he knows that, and yet he has a long, long leash because of this success. Well earned, well earned. Absolutely, But yeah, it's a tough one. But when you're four dan and nine, you look, it's hard. It's hard to fight your job at that point. It's hard to justify it. The numbers just aren't lying.

Speaking of weird numbers, so we've played Saint Louis City three times, we're undefeated against them. And here's a really weird stat that I've had in our gade notes. Thank you, Kevin k. By the way, Saint Louis have conceded an own goal against us every match they've played. Weird against Seattle. Yeah, that's an interesting stating. How these people find these stats

is just beyond me. Anytime you guys give us this pamphlet of fifty eight pages, every goal that the Sounders have scored, all the crazy facts, and the reality is is, you know, Saint Louis was a very good defensive team last year. And with Tim Parker back there and a really good goalkeeper and Lovin you know, kind of running the midfield, you'd think through the spine that they'd be a team that's not going to allow that many goals. I mean, the Tim Parker at one time was the highest paid center

back in the league. They brought him there for a reason from New York Red Bull And you know, it's a guy that's got to lead from the back. And so every team is looking for an opportunity to find that flip, right, And we always anytime we face a team we're undefeated against this team, I always get nervous. Yeah, I always get there. There's always one day where a team can have their day. But I don't think it's this Saint Louis team coming here. Sounders got I would be licking my

chops. A team that comes in here with only four wins on the season, I'd say this this is our night. And yes it's a mixed lineup from the Sounders, but there's guys on the bench that can now come into this game who are normally starters that can make a difference. Yeah, and this is a team that's given up eight goals in the last two games. Woof. Yeah, yeah, you gotta smell an opportunity, you do,

you do well. I had a question cute up about whether this would be a trap game or we're at all concerned about that, But it sounds like we're not concerned about this being a trap game. Well, I'm sorry. I would like to say it's not a trap game. But the you know, the realist in me. I'm not a number nine, so I can't just say we're gonna win every game and I'm gonna score three goals every game. I'm a realist, And so yeah, there are still dangers with a

team like this. They're playing desperate. You fire a head coach, that means the only people that are next up on the chopping block are the players. Right, You're not going to fire an interim head coach. The only thing you're gonna do is hire a new head coach for the long term futures. So for the guys that are playing tonight, they know that they're playing

for contracts. And I don't think if you're going to fire your head coach a year and a half into your organization, there's no player that's safe either. Those are the next guys up to get chopped. And the last thing you want to do is pack up your stuff and leave a city that you just move to. Yeah, and you're playing against the Sounders. This teams have come in here in tough runs of form and got to win and then that's catapulted them forward. And there's no pressure on Saint Louis tonight, right,

so the pressures on Seattle. I always hear Brian in the back of my head because he thinks every game that you can lose, every single game. And that's the right mentality for a head coach because it makes you sharp and it makes you make your players sharp. I think this is a game they could match those four goals that Colorado had and Vancouver, but they've got to get off to a good start and put Saint Louis down quickly. Yep.

Welcome back to the Sounders at C pre match show presented by Providence Swedish and Keey Dunning. Here from Lumenfield with Brad Emans and coach Pete Fewing, Jacksonfeldt and Steve Zakwani and Michelle Luedka will be back on the sideline and they will have the call as we count down to

E's seven forty official kickoff. All right, I wish we had more time to talk about this guy, because he deserves all of the accolades, all of the compliments, all of everything. Stephan Fry is just one clean sheet away from moving into second place among all Major League Soccer goalies for clean sheets, Nick Romanda with the one spot obviously one fifty four, the legend Kevin Hartman one twelve, and from I earned his one hundred and eleventh clean sheet

with Austin or against Austin on Saturday. Guys, just wax poetic a little bit about Fry for me. Yeah, I mean he's been the mainstay for the Sounders and when you talk about legendary goalkeepers, we've been blessed to have so many good goalkeepers here. The man behind the scenes is Tommy Dutro. Right, you have the task of you know, coaching a casey Keller who had seen it all and I think that you know towards the tail end of Casey's career, Tommy made him, you know, as good as he could

have been for that point. I think if it was any other goalkeeper, I think you don't see a Casey Keller that goes out on a high against San Jose, you know, in his last game and is able to do that. And then you know, you have other goalkeepers that have come into the mix, and Michael Sperning who who was very very good for us, and then the second team goalkeepers. But the guy who you're always going to talk about is Stephen Fryg. I mean a guy he's just been amazing.

He had a leg break in Toronto and then he comes here to kind of reinvent his career and he did that from day one. And it's not to say that it wasn't without its hiccups. I think a lot of us ask questions about distribution with his feet. But the type a person that he is, he always wanted to make himself better and he did that from day one. The consummate pro He really took everything so seriously with his body to how he he warmed up stayed afterwards, and that's a credit to him, but

also you reap the rewards of that. On the other side, the biggest part about being a keeper is keeping the ball out of the back of the net, and to do that, he'll break that record. And maybe he gets closed one day to Nick Romando, but he'll break that record and that that just speaks volumes about who he is. You probably won't hear him ever talk about it, but that is also the type of person that he is.

Yeah, he's a consummate pro. He's he set a tone in the locker room and you're right coming in after Spurning and Casey Keller, there's a history and he goes back to you know, Tony Chersky a long time ago. He reminds me a lot of Tony Chersky, one of the early sounder goalkeepers. But he is a humble guy. He's taken less salary at times for the greater good to the squad and and he just is such a good

leader. You don't see a captain being a goalkeeper that and it's a rare thing when it happens, but he's earned that right and he's been such a good pro. And you're right, so great, we're watching Tommy and Brian walk out right now, Tommy Dutra has done a fantastic job, and you talk about the San Jose game and the three saves he made on his last home game was still etched in a lot of people's mind. So yeah, it'll be great for him to get to Kevin Hartman and we'll see if you

can get to Nick Romando. Speaking of Sounders legends, our alumni Sounders Legend of the Match tonight is Chance Pry, former Sounder, member of Sounders broadcast team. We're all about celebrating Sounder's legends. This whole season is about celebrating the club's fiftieth anniversary. Really excited for him. We're watching. I can actually see him on the sideline about to do his flag waving and just really really excited to see, you know, a guy so deserving get honored.

Yeah, he's a legends pro. Yeah yes, also, yeah he is. He's scored one hundred goals as a pro. And you know, you see Jordan Tuckan, you would never know talking to him that he did. No. I always bring it up and he will thank me quiet. But he was a really good goal scorer. He was good with the left foot, right foot. I wasn't the fastest guy. It was good in the air, strong post up player. We were playing against the Santo's Earthquakes and

Doyle was the captain of the US team. I chipped the ball into Chance and Doyle crushed him, and Chance came screaming at me with a lot of bad words, and then I turned and looked the other way, and then he kept screaming at me because I looked away from him during the game, and the fans could hear. And I got a total tongue lashing from Chance. We were walking off. We end up winning the game. He gets the game winning goal, and we're walking into the tunnel and we're talking and

then all of a sudden, sorry, but that's how he was. You know, he is a nice a human being. What he's done for east Side FC and all those kids has been fantastic and he deserves this. And he's a legend of this squad. Well, the incredible career outdoor, but also Ino, oh yeah, played we played both sides of soccer. We all know how difficult that is to go back and forth too, right, you go outdoor to indoor. And also he's got so the US men's national

team. I think that's one that's overlooked for him, and that's an amazing accolade in and of itself. So you got to give us a wave up here. Well done. Chanced love to see it. Such a good guy, such a good guy. He got on that national team. Paana Gulias was the coach because of his attitude and they loved him and he some guys were misbehaving and he wouldn't misbehave and he was disciplined and he was a nineteen twenty year old kid. But yeah, you're right, Keely, he's super

humble, would never tell anybody. He also gets cheery eyed over anything Sounders and yeah and anything good that happened to a dog, a kid playing a good guy. Yeah, he's just a good guy. We're coming to you live from louvin Field. Jackson Felacier Fillion for the Great Danny Jackson alongside Sounders legend Steve Zachwani with Michelle Blood cut down on the sidelines. Kickoff just moments away, so let's quickly get to the delta. Starting eleven four year Seattle Sounders.

It's a regular four to two to three to one formation from head coach Brian Schmitzer, Stephen Frying Goal, Alex rolled On at right back, knew who at left back Jonathan Bell will line up against with Jackson Reagan at center back, Christian rolled On and Obed Bargasa. You're holding midfielders Paul Rothrock, you right winger Lao Chu, your left winger Albert Rusnack in between him, with

Jordan Morris off top. Now, Steve, this is the Sounders team, five straight wins across to all competitions, sixteen points in their last six MLS matches. They are on fire. Saint Louis meanwhile back to back four to one losses. But man, you know better than anybody this is MLS. Anything can happen on a given day. Yeah, Jackson, I think this is MLS. Is right because you know, you go into this game, you're the infom team, you're the home team, you almost expected to win.

But I know for a fact that brash Mess's message would have been to his guys to be on dead god, because we've seen teams come in here not playing well, not in good fum, not expects to do well and get a result against the Sounders. But we've that said, if this team plays anyway near when they have been playing, and you have Jordan and Albert as they have been, it should be a sound as weak. It has been such a high level of playing from the Sounders, and they've got it

from various people. Jordan Morris obviously absolutely on fire right now. It's nine total goals in his last eleven all competition games. Albert Rusnak has also been on fire. And this is a Saint Louis team, Listen. They are partly injured, they're partly getting some guys back, so they're bringing the heat tonight. They're not changing much out of their starting lineup. They're starting a lot of their main guys to try to get at least one point out of

this big road match. And it should be noted it's a Saint Louis team that has not won on the road yet this season. Knock on wood. That continues tonight here at Loomanfielders. We get things kicked off here from moving fire out of the goals and Saint Louis goalkeeper Roman Burkey will send a long

ball down the field. They'll be headed up from Jackson Reagan. He'll get in the middle of it as we get settled here in this game, and Steve, you know, the thing that stands out for the Sounders mentioned not much rotation from Saint Louis. From Saint Louis now much rotation from the Sounders either Brian Schmitz are rolling with the guys who've had successive weights. Yeah he

has. But with that said, he's able to give ya a bit of a break and jpswell well Rereen and Jordan Morrison up and light up two in the season, he couldn't do this. He pretty much was playing what was given to him. So I think the strength and debt of the Sounders allows special to maybe keep nine and change a couple here and there. Of the seats. It's about tonight, but there's no question there's one eight on a

big game this weekend. Absolutely LAFC coming up on Saturday. Deaf only partly in the sights, you know, but it is all focus on the Sounders. As Saint Louis a moment Ago send a long ball to their Icelandic forward nuk v Thorisen, who will mention sometimes tonight as the Sounders draw foulets Knew who here on the near side of the field, drawing a foul from host Kachima, the right winger for Saint Louis, and the Sounders get moving now

on to the right side of the field. The Reagan up on to the right working with rothrock back to obed Vargas and Reagan as the Sounders, we'll work on this right side here. We're just a minute and twenty seconds into this match here at Lumenfields, Sounders looking for their sixth consecutive win across all competitions. They've risen, of course, to seventh place in the Western Conference. They could get as high as fifth to night, depending on various results.

Vancouver playing Kansas City as the Sounders working around the midfield though bed Vargas finding some space. Here's Ruth snack out wide to Christian Rodan roll Don goes further out wide. Cross is gonna come in, but it's deflected and that will be out for a Sounders corner here in the second minute, and this team just has a different field right now. I mean that footballs from back to front. Everyone's getting touches, one touch, two touch. In the

end, it ends up on the right hand size. The cross comes in looking for Jordan Morris. He's not the best cross cut out, but the Sounds more than happy to sell for a corner kick. Albert Rusnak setting up for the outswinger. Now as ten assists this season. Big run for Albert. He raises his hand and he sends it in and that will be cleared away and collected by Albert on the outside, saying, Louis get a foot to it, but it goes back to Seattle. Here's Obed Vargas dribbling into

space outside of Christian Christian looking for a cross. It goes in and it's clear away again. Yo, Kim Nielsen clearing two balls away, first the corner and then that cross from Christian Rodan, but Sounders remained control. John Bell and new back down. Let's go down to Michelle Luka on the sideline. Thank you, Jackson. I had a chance to talk with head coach Brian Schmetzer before tonight's match and asked him kind of what was the game plan?

What was the messaging? He says all week leading up to it and again before today's match to the team has been drilled into them is do not look past this opponent. You stated already how much they've been struggling, specifically on the road. They're currently thirteenth in the Western Conference, coming off of four to one loss to Vancouver. For Brian Schmetzer says they cannot look past

this, They cannot be looking ahead to LAFC this weekend. They need to focus on their game plan and if they play to the best of their ability, hopefully a good result will come. A bit thank you, Michelle, Hopefully so is Paul Rothrock draws a foul. It's a good spot here, Steve right outside e right between I would say the box and the end. I mean this is a real, real dangerous spot for Albert Rusnak it is and the recent set piece of diffy from the Sounders weapon is Albert rus Knack

or joh Polo has been very very good. You give your chance to get your big guns for it. Jackson Reagan is in depth, Jennifer bell Is in death. Jordianth Morrice, of course more than competent in the air is well, he's a good The difference here, I think for the sound is the first five minutes or so already on top. This is the way the game's gonna goal. But you don't really set that tone until you get that

goal as ok as a zero zero send Louis into games. Can you get that first goal and a set piece of great chance to do that a referee tonight. Alexis to Silva sets the line holds up for a moment. We're talking to Jackson Reagan down there, who's getting some placements. As Ruth Snack prepares to hit this, here we go, they'll be an in swinger.

Here's the kick going to the end. Head it down and it is clear off the line by Saint Louis. Nearly a goal as it looked like it was Jackson Reagan who got that positioning seat headed down and Saint Louis are lucky. Say this match is still zero zero. I'm shocked. Jackson dust Arython Grant. You'll talk to head the board back across bow and down. He does that keep it, gets a great touch to it first and then that's

park on the line. Maybe disabled the season. Wow. Tim Parker, the veteran from MLS, the guy who's backs around a number of different places with a six to two thirty one year old center back, is the one who kept it out for Saint Louis and it is still zero zero. Rue Snack, now from the corner, you will be sending it in swingers. It looks like Alexis de Silver taking the moment just making sure that that ball didn't cross the line. Taking a second look, it looked like it was

cleared off. But I like this from Da Silva, just taking the second look, making sure and it looks like it will be a yellow card here at Luomenfield, Chris Dirk and the midfielder, and it's an SGB yellow card when a foul is called, SGB trial lawyers are here to help visit SGB dash law dot com. As the Silva says, play on. Here comes Ruth Snack get in swinger here from the northwest corner of the stadium. Here's Almer sending it in and it's clear to way again from Saint Louis, and

it will be controlled from Saint Louis. Pop that ball up though, and Alex Rodan fighting for it, and Alex Horodan will win that ball and it's out for a Sounders throw. Rusnap looking to play quick, he finds Obad Vargas in the middle of the field, Vargas and they'll send it back to

Jackson Reagan. But I think Steve, we're immediately seeing here in the first few minutes of this match the Sounders offensively, they're on Saint Louis who you know they're They're trying to set this tone early Steve, and you can feel the Sounders close again here in the first six minutes. It's a confident team, and it's a team that knows what they need to be doing right now. They're finding their level, they know the goals they have to try and

achieve the season. And so coming into a game because a team that isn't doing too well, what you want to do is not give them hope very early on. You want to show how dominant you are. You want to show why you are where you are, why they're where they are, and a Sounders I've done that, but until you get a first gode in this sneak, especially every team sent in the game, so it sounds it's a great s thought. So far, bulls moving very well. This game touches

like when you clear to some real look. Some vote long ball here to the left side for Rusnak, but it will bounce in an awkward position and go out for a Saint Louis throw here. For seven minutes in this match at Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Luminfield, Saint Louis City SC zero your Sounders zero Saint Louis taking a moment to throw this in and they will then bouncing around, but it will be the Sounders controlling. Obed Vargas is getting in

the middle of that. One. Young Obed Vargas, the eighteen year old who steve. I mean there's times where it feels like Obed Vargas is twenty eight years old. He plays with such maturity. He's developed so much this year. I mean the pass he made to Jordan Morris or Paul Rothrock which ended up being a Jordan Morris goal, and that win against Austin. He has been tremendous this year. Yeah, he's been fantastic and I think he's a player who, you know, the first time we ever saw him,

he had something about his game. You know, young players come into the team and they don't make mistakes, and that's good. The next step is can you actually impact the team when you have the bullet and the impact the

winning and oh Bed from day one he's been doing that. I think he's an excellent form right now and he's honestly someone that he's very hot to seem be taking up the land up even when nybody's fitting Sounders trying to find layout two down the left side, but he is kept from going forward and it will wind up at a Saint Louis City foot Now a long ball over the top Saint Louis looking for somebody they have Nuke fe Thornson and then Chris klein

clin working his way into the final third looking for a runner, looking for some help. He sent it out to the left. Here's vassal Vasil left cutting in. He tries to cross, but it's hit away from Alice rolled on and that will go out for I believe they're gonna say that it ended up coming back off of Vassala. That's gonna be out for a goal kick. So Sounders, how will have a goalkick with Stephen Fry, you know, to go back to obed Varius. Yeah, able to chow with him

out at long anchors at the training facility yesterday. You know, see if we keep seeing these moments from Obed where you know it's it's you know, one, two, three big moments in games. And I asked him, like, you know, what's that next step for you? What's the what's the next thing you need to do to take your game to the next level to be a great player. Maybe it's in MLS, maybe it's in another league. And he said, I need to turn those few great moments and

he need to double that. I need to have you know, whether it's four or five six big moments in games. Yea. And from this position to Iole, he has a Christian next to him, he may be able to get into those advanced positions. No, I love it, and I love that on some it cause you know he means he has the right mindset because you know I have him been in that position. You know, you you have one or two good games, three good games? Can you make

it five six seven eight good games? A couple of good things a half? Can it be five six seven eight good things to be a half? So his mindset, he's been tenn a team and my old accounts, just the way he's been since coming to the team, it's very hard to see him not achieving. Mode of that involved so anders passing along the back line, being very patient right now. But it's all about that patience with a purpose. And we're seeing Jackson Reagan over to Alex Rodn on the right.

Alex long ball over the top, was trying to find your and Morris, but it will go all the way to Roman Burkey. Roman Burke who you may know that name. He may have heard that name here or there. Obviously a absolute legend with Dortmund for many, many years. One hundred and seventy six games, the Saint Louis City have a long ball at the top. This goes to Nuke Fi knew who and Jonathan Bell working and it's a shot. It goes off of Stephen Fry. A good sat there from Steph

and this match is still scoreless. But that is the first big moment for Saint Louis. Yeah, and it's the one excited. And this is a couple of minutes ago it had another counter attack that in the end lets nothing. And this time again it's just a direct bort over the top and between Jackson Reagan and Jennifer Bell, you've got to defend at a big bell that's too easy for them to get behind. And as he's done so many times in his coreer, Stephen Fry come into the sound as rescue of a big

safe, big save. Steph. I here comes to the corner for Saint Louis. Is this moving to Haagens in swinger It will be short though to climb trying to look for a cross. They finally find it and a header that goes well wide the left. This will be a goalkick for Seattle and Stephen Fry, But that I mean for a ten minute spent stretch, Steve, this was all Seattle. That was the first real, big dangerous moment there for Saint Louis, kind of say, setting the tone. Then we

aren't here just to maybe get a point. Saint Louis here to play, and that was nearly one nothing. Yeah, and this is MLS. So no team, no matter how prominant you are, how much infome you are, you will not dominate the game for nineteen minutes. The opponent will have moments. And I think for the sounds a Leon, we've already seen a couple of instances what sent Lewis kent game behind can cause a threat, and

so you just call it. Be careful of that. That's why we believe that at first blaw is gonna be key at zero zero send Lewis's hope. That belief He's only gonna grow as the game more chunks. Saint Louis will drop vale here just inside Seattle's half. Let's go down to Michelle Luck on the sideline. Thank you Jackson. A welcome return today to a veteran player

to the starting line up for the Sounders. Christian Rolldon is returning to action after missing the match against Austin last weekend, and he returns to the match tonight as a new father. Him and his beautiful wife welcome to their birth of their daughter, Mia Valentina over the weekend. So a huge congratulations to him in the entire Rolldon family. Major congratulations to Christian and Mia Valentine.

A beautiful name there. She has welcomed into the world. And hopefully we see that new dad bump from Christian Rolldan like we saw it from Jordan Morris. Because a Sounder is working on the right side, Paul might have gone out of play, but either way it ends up with Saint Louis here who are passing along their back line, going to loop a ball over Paul's bouncing

around being contested here on the far side of the field. O bet in on it, trying to get some Sounders controlling That will be a Sounders throwing. We'll see if they work fast here with Paul rothrock ball in his hand, they'll throw it into Alex Roldan. Alex will send it back to Jackson

Reagan, John Bell next to him and he'll use him well. Satafans, even the greatest athletes make sure it takes the time to catch up with their friends over at michelob Ultram, because they know that their joy is the whole game, not the endgame. Michel of Ultra. It's only worth it if you enjoy it. Ball gets to Roman Burkey and goal there for Saint Louis. He'll send this one long to Jose Kajima brings down for Chris Klein.

Climb out at the edge of the box. Back to Kajima looking for a man to cross it to send it back to Edward Levin paul In on the back. There's Kajima. The cross comes in and that will be out. See if this is a goalkick it is for Steph and Fry comes off with Kajima there at the very end. But back and forth play here as the Sounders look to regain control from those first three minutes. Steve Yeah, and

the oneing signs are there and it's mostly coming down. Send Louis's right hand side, the Sounders left hand side and then really bypassing New who's still clickboards in behind New who forcing Jonathan Belt to come into channels does want to come into and said Louis is finding a little bit of joy with Bill Darett play the right hand side. How the Sounders have to get more pressure to bullets and that's steal too, that's Jordan Morris, that's how. But the guy's

higher up the pitch. I'll get press shoulder bull anytime Sat Lewis play on the backline gets possession of Sounders were trying to find Paul rob Rock down the right with a long ball, but he was intercepting. And now back to Seattle. Here is Paul running towards the end line now cuts back as Alex rolled on to help. Alex uses little bit in the middle. Oh bed to Alex and they will send this all the way back and John Bell will

have to retreat. He has pressure here from Kajima, so Bell will send it all the way back to Stephen Fry Sanders FC Soccer presented by a provident Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders FC. Steve, you know going back to Christian Roldan is so happy for him and you know missing that match against Austin. You know, such a gamer like him hates to miss anything. It's a long ball here Saint Louis and Roman Urkey will control hate to miss any

games, but obviously well worth it in this circumstance. Yeah. And you know we saw it with Jordan Morris. You know when he has his kid, these these bumps, these dad bumps are real and sometimes you have that just a little bit extra. And we know how big of a motor Christian rodn has as this would be a Sounders throwing but his motor probably can go

to eleven today. You'd think it's unbelievable what that happens. And there's somethings this most you can't explain it. For example, a team that's seven games in a row gets a new coach. That's something you did go in a seven game winning Streek as well, rucenact of Norris Morris on the edge of the box. He'll try to cross it in but it is intercepted. Chance

there for Seattle and it will be Saint Louis, No Seattle. Where's Albert Rusnak picking a ball up to Christian back to layout chew using Albert Rusnak Steve Sounders very patient right now on this left side. Yeah, and I like this. When the sound get a chance to go, it wasn't quite one, so you don't force it. When you circlate the board, drag Satin Lewis over to one side and a whole fully find even Alex Rodan or rough Roup on the far side. So for the Sounders, now this is what

you got to take end us out of the game. Loss of five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten past sequences just allud him into a four sense of security. And when that moment starts to penetrate and Gold direct, you need Leo Chew and Jordan Morris especially to be on the bike and rough Rock as well as John Bell holds it at the Sounders back line.

He's ragging off to his right, ragging long balldl Shroldan trying to get in behind the Roman Burkey will catch that one in Saint Louis City will control here as we are in the seventeenth minute, it is Saint Louis City sc zero Sounders zero. Here in the seventeenth minute Emeralum Casino pitch up women Field. This score update is presented by nickelob Ultram's a long ball from Saint Louis up to their Icelandic forward. He's intercepted by seeing how sad a Sounders.

Here's Chew on the left, so New you fighting off Kajima is way in the final third. That cross is gonna be tipped and it will go into the arms of Roman Burkey. As the Sounders continuing to look down this left side, that's our new Steve did get involved there, but unfortunately nobody at the end of that one. No, it wasn't that. You gotta get credit. Dere to Saint Louis as well. Defended it really well, had two guys running with new hoop and as the attempts he's cross, there's a

big deflection on it. We sorfted this thing out of it and made it very easy for the goalkeeper to gather it. But the sound is slowly regaining the ascendency. I think they've seen the warning shots from Saint Louis, and the best way to post this kind of game is to keep the ball away from Saint Louis, because when they get it, they have no interest in making build ups. They want to go direct, put them on into the

sound as off and the Sounders have struggle with that early on. So you have to get the board, keep it for a long time, get outBut onto the ball. Christian onto the board all but onto the ball, and it made the game. From there, another long ball from Burkey headed by John Bell down to Christian Rodan is rolled on feeling suppressed from Kajima, and Kajima will take it away, but there is new that ride in and say no, you don't. As Sounders get back to the ball, I think

Christian o'dan will find his man, Stephen fry Well, Steve. One of the other interesting stories of this game is is how Saint Louis City have gotten here because a few weeks ago they fired their head coach, Bradley Carnell, a guy who led them to the top spot in the Western Conference last year. And I think a lot of people in Saint Louis we're pretty happy with the way things were going. But then this season has not gone very well

at all. I mean thirteenth place in the West right now, and they have fired Bradley carr now after a four to three loss to Vancouver where they were leading by two goals and then ended up losing that game. You know, when I see the stats of winning three games out of twenty, winning eight games out of forty, no matter what Saint Louis City did last year, Steve, those are unacceptable numbers. And from what I've heard, fans in Saint Louis weren't too angry about the firing of Bradley Carnew. No,

that's the cut of success. You set the boss so high and then the expectations built in. And I think when I see stories like that, it makes me appreciate even more. But we've been able to do here in Seattle. Beoples had a very good expansion yet and then there was no drop off. It was freel p Cups in a role. It was Pudels eight nine, ten years in a role, and that success kept going, kept going.

And will be off that all over the top here end of the box for Saint Louis, but it is far out and we'll wind up with another goalkick for Stephen Frye. And you know John Hackworth a former coach with the Philadelphia Union. He also won a USL championship in twenty eighteen with Louisville. As Albert Rusnak will draw a foul in the middle of the park and the

Sounders will have a free kick here in the twentieth minute. But John Hathor Hackworth taking over here with Saint Louis was their technical director, but with that coaching experience, easy to slide into that role. And you know, the Saint Louis right now in a tough spot. They probably got himin what about eight of their last eleven games to get into the playoffs. They're sitting way behind right now. But we expected, you know, as sometimes happens,

a new coach bump. They've not seen it with back to back four to one losses. The Sounders working on the right side and now back in the middle with Christian rodn uses Rusnak. Rusnak with some space, has to retreat a little bit now back out to Bell Bell on to the left side for knew who knew who were Christian. A little bit of miscommunication there, Christian

looking for Rusnak, but Rusnak had over gone. But it will stay with the Sounders now all the way back out to Jackson Reagan here in the twenty first minute, Sounder zero Saint Louis City zero. Jackson felt Steve zachal Wanni Michelle love get here on Sports Radio ninety three point three kjr FM here tonight at lumen Field as the sounders working with Morris and Rusnak. You're on the left side, crossing it in. Can it find Bargas, No, it's

headed away by Tim Barker in Saint Louis. Now back to Rusnak. Can you draw a foul? No call? No call from a Lexus to Silva, but the ball will go back right to Seattle. It looks like Saint Louis city was ready to break, but sounders were able to get in the way of that one real quick. But man at Albert Rusnak there, yeah, I think an interesting shout there, Steve, for that foul that would have put the sounders of the freaking about five yards outside the box. A

really dangerous foe. He wanted that one bad because he had eyes for it. But it's the Silva saying no, and the sounders will work again here now on the left side with chew back to Newing for some space, and new does draw that foul. He was animated, Steve after that one. He said, Okay, you're not gonna give the other one to Albert, but you gotta give this one to me right now. But the Sounders will play fast. Here's Morse out to the left of Chew. Chew working with

Bruce Knack. But the forced to go back again is Saint Louis. See if they are compact on this defensive end where the Sounders trying to play fast but there's just no space to play into. Yeah, and this is probably the patent of the game that we'll see where Saint Lewis more often than note, we'll sit in the low blook. The Sounders will be able to move the bull left to right, trying to find the right moments. And in that your plus has to be besides, because one giveaway and that low block

turns into a transition for St. Lewis and then often the races. So you've got to take care of the board as well as possible, and then you really gotta find Albert Rusnak's centricy. When he gets the board, he'll draw two or three defenders to him, and that's when the guys get open and he has appointed to find him in the open spaces. Saint Louis. It's like I was the center back. Yoakam Nielsen he just sends the ball

right into Bryan Schmitzer's arms in the sideline. Nope, Saint Louis player remotely around. I mean, I don't know if Schmetzer is wearing anything red. Maybe he has a red tie on, but Bilkam Nielsen seemed to think that the Sounders bench was a Saint Louis player there. Now nobody within fifteen yards, but Sounders will have control here, and it's Christian in the right in

the middle of the park. Here's Rusnak picking it up, turning, trying to play a ball in a shoe into the box, show crossing, and it's clay away from Nielsen. Nielson want to send out Alba a Sounders throw here about ten yards from the n line. Steve, Yeah, and that's exactly who I just talked about that went there in a low brook find out. But because he's gonna draw a plus to him, he'll be out a position. And then you got a run, which what you did. And

here's Rusnak working with Christian. The shot is deflected off of Chris Durkin and that will be out for a Sounders corner. Here in the twenty fourth minute, still zero zero between your Sounders and Saint Louis City sc as Albert Rusnak will walk to the corner post here on the northwest side of the stadium, or another chance, so you give the Sounders. You know, Todd Morris,

as you mentioned earlier, is so good in the air. Ruce Snack and Morris have connected four goals, four assists to Morris's foot long ball here and I'll be headed away Louvin with another header. Saint Louis trying to clear it. We'll get to Luvin's foot. He's taking it to the corner, trying to find some space. He finds Durkin Dirkin finally able to clear that one back all the way to Stephan Fry. He had nobody to help him, so he has to send it all the way back to step Well.

This copyrighted audio cast on Major League Soccer. They I'll be retransmitted, reproduced or rebroadcast without the espress rat consent of Major League Soccer has knew who stands over it with John Bell Saint Louis line of confrontation right at the midway point as the Sounders look to build against a team that does not have a road win this year, and it will be taken away from Saint Louis City.

Now there looking to break a little bit on the left side of the vassaliv Vasili, trying to find some space, but Alex Rodan says no, he takes it away. Sounders get it back looking for Rothrock over the top, but that will go over Rothrock's head and back into a Saint Louis City foot and now Luvin Luvin, who is number ten over the top to Jackson. Reagan was trying to find Nukefi Thornson but could not find him. And it will be Sounders controlling this. But it's taken away immediately, and now Klein

picks it up. Will he look to shoot. No, it's stepped in front of New who a great tackle, and now the Sounders may look to break over the top to new who knew who is space? Here's new looking for Morris crossed in man it's out for a goal kick Steve. The idea is there. He's trying to play early into the space so Jordan can run onto it if our breaking stride. It's a very very tough technique to pull off, and on that occasion, unfortunately knew he got it just wrong.

But great counter tech. Let's know who makes a tack, one climb and he's off, He's off. I love that so aggressive. That final piece is what missing right now for the Sounders would have built up the approach play. It's been very good. But the reason you win games in this league, and you haven't winning games, you've been very effective inside the eighteen yard books. That little bit of quality hasn't shown up yet tonight, but the

signs are promising for the Sounder is very much on top. But Neil Neil Saint Louis also very much said this game. If you're twenty five minutes into this game. Here at women Field, there's a long ball from Roman Burkey will be controlled by Seattle. Christian rolled on and here's Alex on the right side working with his brother and Alice will send it right on back to Jackson Reagan. There's the Sounders and once again pass on the back line. Seattle

looking for their another consecutive win. That would be their sixth here as they've gotten sixteen points, five wins, one drive out of their last six MLS games. For Sandwich in there was the win over Sacramento in the US Open Cup, the game where Jordan Morris became the first Sounder of ball down to score in League's Cup. Conker Calf MLS regular season is a ball slipped in

here. This will be a cross coming in from Christian. Can he find Morris and it's gonna be on going the next it's an own goal, oh man, Tim Parker, the man who kept it out of the back of the next just the early few moments of this game, his foot will redirect across in and that will be a Sounders goal. Here they take a one nothing lead in the twenty seventh minutes. Yeah, it's a very very well woked vote. Of course, an element of luck with the way ends up

in the back of the net. But the build up, the approach for all of that was fantastic. Alex rode Down Listen, when you run into sport, good things happened. It's an in behind run definitely outside and he puts on a very dangerous board too far for the goalkeep park too fast for Parker to react to. And if he doesn't, Yeah, Jordan Mutch right behind him. That has put a cross that you can put in in the

area, Tim Parker, I feel for him. Nothing you can do there, but as Sounders won't care one nil an own goal for the veteran Parker and the Sounders lead one nothing in the twenty seventh minute. Let's go down to Michelle Ludka on the sideline, Jackson, My dad always says, there

are no pictures on scorecards. And when we see the line of the Sounders having won against Saint Louis the three matches that they have faced them now, of course in the fourth match, fans might not recall that in every single one of those games, Saint Louis has given up an own goal. So today that right there marks the fourth own goal that Saint Louis has given to Seattle won in each match that they have faced each other. That's a tremendous

statan show is that is shocking. As we know, just a couple of months ago, the Sounders got a two to one win in Saint Louis, Christian Roodan forcing an own goal in that game, and Tim Parker puts another one in for Saint Louis to Seattle grabs an early lead here tonight at Looming Field. Wow, I mean, it's it's it's a little bit of you know, Steve I Wonder as a player in those moments, Saint Louis back

to back for to one losses, haven't won on the road. You know it's still early twenty ninth minute right now, but yeah, imagine for a few of those guys, it's sort of like what gives man, Yeah, it's stay j all view and when finzon't going your way, this sport just seems like it's being cool and it's not going to go your way. And the first into goals your head, your head drops. The confidence goals a little bit. If it as sound as you play into them, you don't

get them a reason to get back into the game. So with that said, this next five minutes become extremely input. You can't let this team get any sort of hope, any big chunks is and you go to text. The next five minutes you take away that hope that they may have. If you can get a second vote, he absolutely gets it. By the very you don't con see the negal justice Christian or Holddan a little bit slow to get up after a tackle here on the near side of the field, and

Saint Louis City will have a throw in with Thomas Tottlin. They're right back not im looking for some help, but he's not finding anything now to Kajee on the right side. But little bed Vargas tied in knew who and let's see if he earns himself a foul. I think he will. This ball will go out for a Saint Louis City corner. Looks like it'll actually go out for a corner. They're gonna say if Kajima goes down. Thought they might have given the foul. But it's Edward Leuvin coming over here. It's

right next to the corner post. This may be a foul. Actually, yes, it will be a foul right here. The ball went over the end line last game off of a Sounders boot. Could easily be a corner. But they call the foul just about four yards in from that corner post, and it will be the man Louvin. He's actually Saint Louis. It's

a dangerous spot right next to a corner. Sending it in this Vasov headed on at the back posting al Frodan will send that out for a corner on the other side and Steve, that is a dangerous moment there for Saint Louis. Yeah, and the Sounds having done a great job so far, of defending he set pieces, sending to his head to getting to the board first on multiple occasions. I think for the sound is dead, you want to be first. In the books. You want to be a bit more aggressive

because set pieces on the Great Equalizer doesn't think too many tactics. Is about desire, it's about what great. It's about wanting to be there first, and the sound is surviving. I lost one but only results in another quarter on set piece. If percent rner on the far side of the field in the southeast corner, woo, this will be lub and I believe looking to take and it'll be an insinger. There comes the kick from moving. It

comes in and it's headed away from Jackson Reagan. He'll go all the way back as Albert Rusnak will look the pressure Jose Kajima, but he'll have to send this back to Roman Burkey as Morris now pressuring long ball over the top, and it will be new who defensively working against it and good challenge.

There is new who gets in the way. It comes away with a sounders foot with Obed Vargas, but a nice job there by Chris Klein, the midfielder for Saint Louis to take that ball back away for the visitors here in red Saint Louis City red shirts, red shorts, sounders and the legacy tops green with blue pin stipes and the awkward shorts like socks. Such a good new look. As the ball goes over the top, Jackson creaking will chest it down. He'll send this ball long to Morris balling for position, but

it will end up at the foot of Edward Luman. Luban working against Obed finds Klein on the right side. Kline has Totland now in behind, trying to find Kajima working against Christian Rodan, but GiMA will win that battle. Finds Pine not taken away by Paul Rothrock. Rothrock coming all the way in here ad a left back spot and Paul Rothrock the wordhorse. Steve burning in for Seattle. He gets it on a job. Listen. I don't know

how, but somehow, someway he finds a way. And I've never seen a player, and I'll be honest, hit who impacts the game so much of everything he does off the board, it's the hard running against the track him back and even the defensively he gets back all the way inside his own six shod books. Pretty much two defensive round in and he shows a talent dad spinning out of trouble. Nice Tripplin gets the phone. I was gonna say that Paul Rothrock started in a right wing position and made his way back

to left back. He and wayout. You have now switched. So it's Rothrock on the left and Chew on the right. As Morris is brought down and Paul Rothrock working here, he is hitting the face. Meanwhile, let's see it official, Alexis to Silva, is gonna have to take a moment because Paul Rothrock was just slaughtered in the face. While we have a moment, let's head down to Michelle Ludgott on the sideline. Yes, thank you, Jackson. I was talking to Brian Schmitzer before the day's match and Paul

Rothrock came up in our conversation. I was asking him, really, what was the biggest difference amongst this team in the last month with things really clicking, And he says, you know, it's that second half changes that he's been making that players now are are a little fearful that if they're not playing up to par. They know that Brian Schmetzer will replace them and then it's

been also the success of Paul Rothrock. This is a player who puts the work in every single day of training, got an opportunity and has just excelled and shined every moment. He's earned it to be on this pitch, and it's shown and sent a huge unintentional message to this team that you can be replaced. You've got to give it your all because if you're not going to

be there's another player who's ready to do that. Saint lewis advancing, Thank you Michelle on the right side with coach Jima a working against new and Knew who will have a position the back. He owes it, but Kajima's going to be able to keep it in. GiMA looking for Klein but he can't find him, and who's still working defensively. He will finally take this one away for good working off the field. Wrong ball Jordan Morris got that's out

of bound. See it's unlucky. It's unlucky. That's really really good play by Newho. You can see the intention. Yea, I think he's try off Gus because he has to work so hard defensively because it's nuke by Thornson getting a ball in behind. He can't do anything that would go ahead. See yeah, new I think he has to work so hard defensively. Then he beats two guys. Nice piece of skill. And by the time he looks up to try and put a boarding behind Jordan Morris his legs, he

had nothing left. He gave it the techniques the first thing to go and so instead of painting on board him behind, he knocks it off the pitch slightly booked. The first part of that play was fantastic lender who else Sounders zero Saint Louis City zero here at erym Quing Casino pitch at lumin Field. Welcome back to the broadcast, Jackson Felt, Steve zach Wanning, Michelle lovego on the sideline. He can spend like it matters by supporting bypok diverse owned

businesses. Oh you're long, Visit intentionalist dot com to find a business near you. As a Sounders look for Obed here on the right side and Obed is taken down. No foul called Saint Louis will now control in the midfield and a zero zero game there you gotta have. They are believing more now as a ball through ball was corraled by Nude who's taken down, gets back up, taken down again, and a foul finally called by Alexis Silva who

Steve is letting them play today, he is getting them playing. He's waiting to the lost minutes quarter foul. But I think that's what Obed's having a world of him about the players at much Rovo. If it's a cliff foul, you caught a cliff foul. I'm more for referees. The slots go to the whistle. I love that, but not at the expensive playing obvious fouls bowl. And he's a couple of goal on both sides of times. I just think you want to quot a slightly tight game when it's a clear

obvious foul. Aside from that, I love that he's ending the play mentioned a moment ago zero zero. It is one zero Sounders here at Emerald Quien Casino pitch a bloomin field an own goal by Tim Parker as the Sounders leading right now, just about ten minutes ago. He's Tim Parker, a guy who has had many many games here in Seattle as a member of the Vancouver white Caps over the years. But he was not ready for an awkward hop on a cross and a ball into the back of his own net, asked

Roman Burkey. As Saint Louis looks to build. Here on the right side, here's Totland looking for a man to cross it into. He will find a man. Here's Thornson shot and it is going to be wide right. A poor shot there from the Icelandic forward, the twenty four year old, and Stephan try will have a goalkick. He's in no rush to take this one here in the thirty seventh minute, as a sounder is probably very happy to take a one nothing lead into the half eight minutes away unless a massive

loaf. It's got to be said, because gets into a really good position. It's actually a really good attech by Saint Louis, and at this level inside the eighteen yard books, he's got to at the very least hit the talk, get making step and Frey work. You did it and for the sound. I just wanted for the sound. It's best Lovan. Instead,

you probably in trouble, so just go up and let me. Sloppy defensive defin Sandlus has got in behind a few too many times a branch missus like it and a long ball over the top the Jordan Morris who is pretty much taken down like a wrestling move, and now roth Rock taken down hard that will be called and a yellow card coming here to Thomas thalin the right back. It's an SGB yellow when a foul is called, SGB trial lords are

here to help. He is an SGB dash law dot com as it will be Roosnack Christian Rhodan talking to the referee Alexis to Sylvan and see if I imagine it's the same conversation that Obe had a few seconds ago. You know, why aren't you calling the obvious foul? Why are you waiting for the second foul to call it? Yeah? Absolutely right again for me, that's

frustrated. I've been on the pitch at times when I love referees. I let the game go and you know, don't want to be to starve the show and kind of let it flow, but really really wanted to would hope you his fouls, you know some very clear ones sounds would rob us sometimes take the free kicking good positions, chance to get it bought into the books. And he's kind of he's been inconsistent in that regard where he's a good that he should have and then that times he's done very well by land of

game flow. Well he's odd there. Jordan Morris was basically grabbed around the hips a couple of times and pull pulled down. Just been nothing called there, but it will be a nice spot here from Albert Rusnak from about thirty five yards out. We'll see what Rusnak does with this one. Plays it to the left to Christian Roldan out of Rothrock on the further left side. Cross comes in by Kajima tipped and that will go out for a Sounders corner.

Here in the thirty ninth minute, will Discount Tire get thirty percent shorter average way time when you buy and book online at discount tire dot com.

As Paul Rothrock and Albert Rusnak standing over the corner flag, this will be Roostak to take thought, so ru Snack with his hand up'll be an inswinger here in the fortieth minute, here it comes and it is headed away there hitting and undelieve his Nielsen who flies in and hits that one away for another Sounders corner for Rusnak to take Sounders would love to nothing lead going into the break to double this stretch as men in the box Al trolldon knew just outside

of it. Here's Ruth Snack again, another in stinger. Here it comes that will be cleared away this time again, this time Tim Parker heading it down. But the Sounders will control here with Ruth Snack. He got ten yards from the halfway line. Now it's a New Who and Al Troldon on the right. Back out to New Who, getting a little bit of pressure from Thornson and he has to go back Steph and fry Well. Seattle works in the midfield with Christian rolled On and his brother Alex on the right. Alex crossing it into Jordan. That's

hit away. That is yoakum Nielsen hitting in the way of that one. And I'll go for a Sounders throw here just about fifteen yards from the end line, and Alix will find Jackson Reagan here at the back as the Sounders. Just very patient Steve four minutes until we see how much out of time, and there shouldn't be too much, but Sunder's just looking to control and

not give Saint Louis any chances here dequal wise before the half. Yeah, it's about gay management and we didn't message come to Stephan Fry from Albert Rusknick some of the experienced guys on the pitch. If you can get a second, absolutely goal for it. But we don't have to risk conceding at the expensive time to get a second goal. So manage the game, be patient, wait for a mistake, wait for an opening, and then you go for the queue. Unless that happens, keep the board, force them to

come out of the show a little bit. And if it means to go to halftime with sixty percent possession, that's what we're gonna do. A number Bryan would love to hold that possession here at home. Have the lead, we'll find another goal. The Sounder is gonna walk away with what would be a sixth straight win, say night, where the Sounders could climb as high as fifth place in the Western Conference. Sure, we'll take a look at the MLS scoreboard later on. As Albert Rusnak working in the midfield, small

is deflected back out to John Bell on the back line. Let's Chew on the right working with Rusnak. The ball that's tipped away and we'll go in for a throw to Christian. Rolled On works into the middle with his brother Alex. Alex looking for some help. He finds grew snack back on the right to Christian and it has taken away good defense there from Kyle Hebert, an international with Canada who is with the Canadian national team for KOPA. He

has now rejoined Saint Louis. On their broadcaster, their play by play voice friend Joey Xanna Boney was saying, this is a big addition for them to be able to get that guy back, Kyle Hebert at their left back position. I haven't said his name much tonight. There he was kind of being able to take a ball away from Christian. It ends up a few seconds later, here is a Sounders throwing. We are here in the forty third

minute, Sounders leading Saint Louis by a score of one and nothing. That Tim Parker own goal as the Sounders up the Sounders hitting it around their back line. Knew to John Bell. Bell looking long to chew shoot, trying to get in position. He finds the position, but a nice job by that man Hebert to get in the way of that one and hit it away. Sounders will regroup and now come back down on the right side trying to throw ball on the Morris, but Roman Burkey, the outstanding goalkeeper, comes

out to grab that one before Jordan Morris can get it. Steve Yeah, and that's a good look from Aleix Roe Dundre and a nice run off the shot of Jordan Morris. Something is really added to his game here as the season that's gone on. This step off the board movement, running ahead of the play, forcing your teammate on the board to have to play with behind on that occasion, the wear of the pucks a little bit too much,

but love to move the move from Jordan. I think there's a reason why I scored so many goals at the moment, it's off the board movement and

a long ball from Saint Louis trying to find their man. They're Icelandic forward Thornson, but he is called offside and this will come back here as we are now into the forty fifth minute here at Looming Field, the sun is just setting on the three high underd level of the eastern stands and Alex Roldan getting a little bit of pressure, but finding Jackson, Reagan and back to

Seph and Fry Fry looking to go along. He will and Leo Cheu not able to grab that one, and you'll go to Hebert in Saint Louis City will control here and have a throw in. You'll find Thornson. Thornson out why to Vasilov Maslov looking for some space against Reagan and Alex Roldan, and that will be another throw in as a hit away from Alex Saint Louis here as the seconds ticked down here in the half, love to take the wind out of the sails. If a sounders one nothing lead, will they throw

long? Will they go short? It's a short throw into Kajima. Kajima looking for some space working against Alex, and that will go out for a corner kick for Saint Louis City in the southeast corner of the stadium. Emerald Queen Casino Pitch moomen Field. There's two minutes of added time here, Saint Louis City repair for this corner kick, Eve, it will be Edward Louvin designated player or Saint Louis City. We'll send it in. It is short

decline at to Louvint looking lacross. It will be across to the back post. It's a man wide open. Oh, it's headed and plucked away. What a block from Obed Vargas. It was Jacka Nielsen who had a wide open header at the back post. Obed Bargas came in late Steve to block that one. A huge play from the eighteen year old midfielder from Alaska. Yeah, the sound as dead to end, but the set piece defending has another short quote. Now will be a nut to that acrossing the bat post.

Death festing the point again and now hip hop's another one. It's another corner coming in here. We'll go right to Steven Fry who punches it away back into the air, head it down clear off the line. Jackson Reagan clears it and clear it again to Paul Rothrock who's running. Sounders have runners

and Rothrock is brought down. Sounder's still running, but there's a lexus to sell the referee saying to hold up play as Rothrock it was a three on two for Seattle and no choice for Saint Louis but to bring down Paul because the Sounders were on the break hard right there. Yeah they were, but again it came off to an a good set piece by setting to us when they were first again looking dangerous. They got their chances in the end with

rough front down the free of one. If the fund doesn't have to day, you just wonder what chunk for the Sounders to really put themselves really in the firm. The sentence he hit it was at one new this game feels a bit too much in the batans for a one set piece. One mistake, and said Louis is right back into it. Sounds have a really kiss the boat. It's been good in terms of possession, but the final thud quantity hasn't been dead. And that's why I said to us is hanging around.

Oh we've played the full two minutes here of at a time and the clockheads four to seven zero zero, and there is a Sounders injury on the far side there, and actually give me Vasil vassilev is the injured Saint Louis player has two Sounders stand right above him, a training crew for Saint Louis. We'll come all the way to the side here as you imagine, what we were about to see is the final kick of the first half, and it will be a Sounders free kick from a roughly dangerous position. They're right

at the halfway line about twenty yards in. Russ sneck is gonna be the one standing over this, and the Sounders have all their men up, including Jackson Reagan, John Bell, the center backs today Jamar Gomez Androtti on the bench for your Sounders. A stacked bench for Seattle today, Steve that includes Jol Paulo, Ralruy Diez Pedro de la Vega and batman Jamar Gomez Andrade. So a lot of firepower for head coach Brian Spener in this second half.

But we will see a Sounders free kick here in the last few moments here of this first half, as it's Russnack over it. De Silva, our referee sets the line. Sounders have Jackson, Reagan, John Bell and Paul Rothrock. Where it's the back post of this free kick, Ruth Snack will stand over it waiting for Da Silva. There it is. Here's Ruth Snack to send it in and we'll be headed away from Saint Louis. Oh. Bed Vargas brings it down. How much sec additional time are we gonna get?

None? That's it for the first half, and you're Seattle Sounders leading one nothing on an own goal by the center back for Saint Louis. Tim Parker, Steve your final thoughts on the first half, Eah listen in terms of our soul jump done performance wise and not to clean up especial defense, gal sent pieces and then attacking wise, delay kick going off to the goal. The standards he up very high, and this is the game the Sounds kind of win two free four nail it's there, but I fit the quarters

to the final funds. But tit up a little bit more. And there's been good moments. Get in the halftime, get refreshed, come back second off of real you put his game away. Well it Sounders one Saint Louis City zero here at the half at Emerald quin Casino Pitch at Bloomingfield. Now time for the Sounders FC halftime show. Sounders FC lead Saint Louis City one

nil at halftime. I am Keey Dunning alongside coach Keith Ewing and Brad Evans himself, and I don't want to like shoot my own horn, but I think I might have been Nostradamis a little bit in that first in the pre mat show because another own goal by Saint Louis. It's insane. Yeah, I've never heard of this, believe it. I thought it was just a flute. But now four games and four own goals, it's really bizarre. But the Sounders only do it by putting themselves in a good position and actually

taking a chance going forward. Alex finds himself inside and all you have to do in that position, you know as well as anyone is just hit that ball low and hard. Keeper has to maybe make a play on it, and as a defender you're running back towards your goal and the only thing you can do because if he doesn't get a foot on it, you know that the striker's going to and unfortunately it comes off Tim Parker's leg into the back of the net. But I honestly, when I heard that happen and saw

it, I heard a lot of cheering from fans. But I think when they say own goal, Tim Parker, the whole stadium needs to say like thank you Tim. All in my God, Synchronizzy, I think it would be just amazing in our new fifty years going forward. That could be a new tradition. Yes, I like it. Yeah, you gotta get the crosses in. Bruce Rirock played for the Sounders, was our old coach with

FC Seattle. He said, no crosses, no shots, no goals, especially if you're making your defenders run back toward their goal and face their goal. So I tell you what, Seattle needs another goal in this one, in my opinion, to really put it away. You're playing against a team that right now down one nothing. They're probably saying, hey, they've had a couple of good chances of one off FRI's chest at point blank shot Fry made himself big that game, I think a tenth to eleventh minute, and

that was a dangerous opportunity. Yeah, they've had a couple of chances. Seattle's got to get one goal to really put this thing to bet Well. Guys, what adjustments do we want to see in the second half? Yeah, I want to see the Sounders take a little bit more chances in the final third. I think they're playing pretty complacent, but with a back four from Saint Louis. It affords you the opportunity to start

launching in some long balls over the top. It's worked a couple times. But even if it doesn't, the sounders have to be ready for the second ball, right, and that's where sometimes things actually tend to work out, and you actually get these openings that tend to open up when you put them under pressure. So long balls, winning the second ball and taking some more chances. I think defensively pretty stout. I don't think we have to change

too many in the back, but the subs might make a difference. Yeah, I think restarts we've looked, We've been close. One was cleared off the line when Jackson Reagan got up at the back post and nodded it across. So can we capitalize on a restart and put it in the back of the net. I like the long ball idea. Once in a while Chew went to the right hand side and they tried to hit him running through and

then get Jordan Morris the ball where he does his best work. Alex rolled On had one entry passed into him, but I didn't see too many other balls where you putting Jordan running at the goals. So but I do think they need another goal. Hey, you know we had a game on on the weekend and then you know it's Wednesday. We've got another one LAFC. That's a huge match. Get another goal so we can put this one away

exactly. And then and then the firepower on the bench, he's the first three names, Jeal, paul O'rui, Diaz de la Vega, and then it's Masofski and Rebaker Whiting. There's Gomas Androtti if you need another defender. Coach Smetzer has a lot of options right now, and and he's got guys that have been good coming off the bench, so at some point you want to use them. But another goal I think puts Saint Louis out. Now back to Seattle Sounders. Sucker on Sports Radio ninety three point three kjr FM, Welcome back to Luominfield. You're Seattle Sounders holding a one to nothing halftime lead here over Saint Louis City SC a Tim Parker own goal as the Sounders leading one nothing. Right now, let's really quickly before the second half

start, take a look at what's going on around Major League Soccer. A lot of games out here in the Western Conference. Tonight LAFC hosting Real Saul Lake. It's a match between two of the top three clubs in the West. LAFC and RSL are even at one at the half. San Jose Houston Dynamo there even at a scoreless game as well as zero zero. Vancouver leading

Sporting Kansas City by the score of one to nothing. As we're seeing a change here to start the second half by Saint Louis, and it's gonna be a man who was signed to Saint Louis's roster just hours ago, Mikaia Shoiner. He was the second leading scorer in MLS Next Pro with nine goals this

year. He was signed to a homegrown contract just this afternoon, and he has now come into the match for Indiana vassalf Sieve who when we took a look at the very very end of that first half you pointed out after looking at it, as the second half gets kicked off here, Indiana Vassal have the left winger for Saint Louis, like he broke his nose. Yeah, yeah, I didn't quite see a rebail of the play, but right away those who did. He came off culling, he's over to the booth,

over to us. Brian Dunstaff told me right away, yeah, he's as broken and bred Evans going from the same as well. You can see it. So tough break when unfortunate facts to go into a change. But in terms of the football underpitch, I thought that they could be very happy with

that first off. You know, if no part of it the sounds dominating the board as fort they would But it only done one nil while having quite a few decent chances, so it's very much still a game this up in the end one things sounders and as the second half gets underway here and the ball goes into Stephen Fry's arms, let's go down to Michelle Ludko on the

sideline. Thank you, Jackson. I had a chance to chalk with head coach Brian Schmitzer coming back out from the tunnel, and he told me the biggest positive of this is that the team is up one nil and they haven't even played anywhere close to how capable of good they're able to play. He said, if anything, they've kind of been a little underdisciplined and a little overdid it with that kind of too much movement, so to kind of adjust to that, they have moved to back over to the left hand side,

especially because the right back for Saint Louis has a yellow card. And then by moving Rothrock back to the right side, he says he really wants to help simplify the movement over there. But the biggest message to the group of these players on the field is they've got ten or fifteen minutes to improve the

play or Brian Schmetzer is going to start making changes. And there is such a deep bench, thank you Michelle, that includes Joel Paolo, We're Alruy Diez, Pedro, d Dingo, Danny Mazowski, Read Baker, Whiting, Yamark, Domes and Dry. The list goes on and on. As such a deep bench as Saint Louis will be able to take this away from Seattle and have the ball into the final third lot of grouping a lot of about

five players here over on the right side of the field. And now finally they back out of there with Louvin and Louvin tries to make a pass in on the back, but that is offside and it will be a sounders kick here from their own half here as we are just a couple of minutes in here to the second half. And obviously for Brian Schmitzer Steed we talked about in the first half a little bit. You know, you obviously care about getting this win. It would be the sixth consecutive win for the Sounders.

You could you know, rise up to the table even more tonight as it looks like a ball in in the back. Here's Jordan Morris. Jordan Morris has position, he crosses it over and that will be cleared away from Tim Parker Morris trying to cross it to Roofsnack, but it's cleared away and the Sounders will have a throwing sea. Yeah, and again it's what we mission ended. A first off there is to off the board run it from Jordan

Morrish. You know when you'll you have his kind of speed. That's one thing based of timing the space is to run into and he seems to have a reading good understanding with Alex Rodnde. I was actually went to play and that's a very good pass in there, and Jordan does the right thing, tries to get across into the six shod books. But sat Lewis defended it

well. But I like that from the Sound and his book in his first fifteen minutes of soult and I agree with what Michelle said that that Bresh must have told you the Sound's book come out and really showed himself in his fut fifteen minutes and they foul earned by Obed Vargas. Here just about five yards outside the eighteen yard box, the corner of it. This will be a very dangerous spot of free kick here, coming from Albert Rusnak just outside of

that area. As Jackson Reagan and Jonathan Bell make their way in, we will see a chance for Albert Rusnak to pick up his eleventh assist of the year. He has been so dangerous over these last ten games or so. He's our rothreena knight Alexis to Silva sets the line for Saint Louis. Here's Rusnak. It will be an outswinger here fourteen yards from the end line. Here it comes from Rustack going to the back post, headed down. It's a goal. It's Jonathan Bell scoring for the Sounders. Hey header off the

foot of Albert rus Deck. Your Sounders leading two nothing forty nine minutes in here at Loganfield, Albert Rusnack's eleventh assist of the year for Jonathan Bell his third career goal. And the Sounders double their lead here early in the second half. Steve, that's exactly what the ducts are all that. It's what the Sounds would have wanted come into the second half and very early, can you double the lead? And I must say this is as good of ahead

as you'll see because he went invited. I mean this his lead is votable death. I'm not show exactly how how you go off the ground, but it was a towering head of Albert Rusnak when he say up there and he's in the air for a law long time. Heads it down with pollow with poppas go keeping no chunks. Well done, Jonathan Bell, sound us up to the Sounders with a lead and I don't go over Tim Parker and now header by Jonathan Bell, a two nothing Lee, let's go down to Michelle

Ludka on the sideline. We've talked a lot this season, Jackson about how the Sounders have been unlucky. It's been one play, one call here or there that just hasn't gone into their favor. Role. Right after that goal by Jonathan Bell. Brian Schmetzer came up to me and he goes there, right there, our luck is changing, because I didn't like how we started the second half, but go right there, our luck is changing. That was both lucky in the first half and very good header from Jonathan Bell.

Here as the Sounders, we'll control on their own end with Stephen Frye, Saint Louis pressing a little bit harder. He's able to find knew who out there on the left, knew who trying to cross it in, but it's taken away. Saint Louis now crossing it over to Leuvin Lovin' shot from distance, looping over. It is just about two yards above the crossbar, a looping shot from Saint Louis City's number ten, and it is out for a goalkick. But Seeva, you know, you know Saint Louis right now.

Yes, it's too nothing, but this is a team that still knows that if they lose this game as well, they're starting to really look at the final ten games of the season and no, they almost gotta win all of them to make the playoffs. So they're gonna go for right now. They got nothing to lose, Yeah, and I just plaint for them losing two nil or losing six nil, it's no different to zero points. So they will go for I think they'll give a push, try and get that first

one back in the next ten, fifteen to twenty minutes. But the Sounders can get a third, then they're goes all confidence, there goes old belief. Un That's exactly what it sound is. Goot go for Do you not let them back into the game. Keep that two nil as u as possible. They have a chance to get a third. He's there. You have to go and take it now, is Michelle noted in the first half. The Sounders have beaten Saint Louis City all three times. We've played three and

oh in all three games. Weirdly enough, Saint Louis City now all four games Saint Louis City has scored an own goal, you know, four for four. But Sounders trying to make it four zero to oh against one of the MLS's newest franchises here today as a ball will go back to Stephen Fries' foot controlling for the Sounders here in the fifty third minute leading to nothing.

And see the other part of this game, You're talking about it a few minutes ago before the goal for Jonathan Bell is the fact that, you know, for Brian Schmeenzer, without leading to nothing right now, you do start to think a little bit about I would imagine what's coming up, because when we look at it, your sounders back at home to take on LAFC and their Western Conference foe coming up on Saturday is July twentieth at seven to thirty

pm at Pacific time. You can watch the match five MS season pass on the Apple TV app. Listen right here Sports Radio ninety three point three KJR FM and in Spanish language on l RAY thirteen sixty. His PREMATCHO. We'll start at seven o'clock and you have a bunch of guys Steve on the field right now and on the bench who you gotta kind of think towards Saturday a little bit leading to nothing right And I say branch Metson was thinking about Saturday

before this game. So he won't admit because he's not some bow suit, but I think that's natural. It's a big game coming up. He's got a lot of players you can rotate from on the round, and I think at some point you're gonna think about you. No, that's why ya JP's in his five minutes. But then can you get rout in? Can you get Pegro in to get some minutes, some more touches. This is a great situation for him to come into read bakeaway. And you've got guys on

the bench who want to see the field as well. You want to keep them invested in the gauge. So I think we will see some changes in the next sentie minutes. Fifty fourth minute here Saint Louis playing out of their back long ball from Parker headed up for Christian Rodan brought down to Thorsen, the Icelandic forward for Saint Louis City who's taken over since Chuelle Klaus, a designated player, the brazil in German forward six' three, such a dangerous

player, he's injured. He missed the last four games, missing tonight as Saint Louis. Look here, just outside the box but taken away from Leo Q tracking back ne defensive play there from Chube and to make Saint Louis reset. Here they work on their right side with Louvin, who is a number ten. He's an attacking midfielder for Saint Louis and he'll loop this ball over trying to find Kleine in the middle of the park. He does find him, now further in back to Louvin just outside the box, plays into the

left. Now here's the new Saint Louis player. Joyer will play it to the end line and he will take it out and it looks like it was touched by Alels Rodan there, which means it will be a Saint Louis City corner here in the fifty fourth minute. Will center fans, even the greatest athletes make sure to take the time to catch up with their friends over all, Michelo Ultrum, because they know that the joy is the whole game,

not the endgame. Michelob Ultra. It's only worth it if you enjoy it, as we'll see a Saint Louis City corner here in the fifty fifth minute from Verd Louvin. Here in the northwest side of Emerald Quick Casino pitch at Lumen Field. Here it comes. It's an end swinger. It'll go to the back post, head it down, clear it away from Jackson Reagan and gets a foot to that right in front of step and Fry. Saint Louis had to reset. They have to go all the way back to the middle

of the park where Roman Burkey is standing inside of the Sounders. Half a long ball headed away from Jordan Morrison. It will be out for a Saint Louis throwing Steve as they look to try to pull one back right here in

the fifty six minutes. Yeah, you expect that they'll they'll have belief for the next five ten to fifteen minutes or so, and they're gonna give it interesting to absolutely have maybe leave them themselves a little bit more exposed not to bet than usual, but I feel the sound is absolutely you don't let him

get back into the game. Parker finds Thorson. Thorson to louve it inside the box but tapped away there, Al trolled On getting in the way of that one, and Rothrock trying to find Jordan Morris, who was brought down again. No call from the Silver the referee. Morris feels like he's brought down four times today, hasn't seen a call yet. Moving into the box,

it's bounced around into Stephan Fry's arms. Dangerous ball there. Jose Kajima was trying to find it a little bit like a center fielder trying to find that ball over his shoulder, and thankfully he does not find it and it ends up in Stephen Fry's arms. Yeah, it's a good boy. I mean, Luvin's a very good playoff. You can't even see on this team. He's the one that makes everything. Goal he's missing, he's running.

Buddy Klaus out there, as you mentioned now injured. But that is a very quantity board fifty foot The sound is Stephen Fry was just as a lot to the danger and was able to come out and grabbing before and send into

his plow. God the end of it. Oh, if you're just joining us, Jackson Felt, Steve Zach and Wanni Michelle Luck on the sideline here ninety three point three KJRFM as a Sounders playing Saint Louis City see and leading to nothing an own goal in the first half of twenty se minute by Tim Parker that was followed up the start of the second half a forty ninth minute header from Jonathan Bell as the Sounders up to nothing right now, trying to

get their sixth consecutive win across all competitions. They win tonight, it would make it nineteen points in their last seven MLS games, which is twenty one points possible. That is not bad at all. That Saint Louis works there into the right side, trying to find one back cross coming in Stephan Fry. Joan up and he is hit hard. Oh big collision. Stephan Fry down. And it's the man that we talked about the start of this half. Mikyle Joyner. Yeah, I think Joyana seas that coming from a long

way away. I think you have enough time to make a bad decision, and that I think. Listen, I'm not full over Protestant goalkeepers at all, but on that occasion, I think you wanna save del Stephan Fry, he's fully committed to it's probably gonna get that first. He's probably gonna catch the board. I like what he jumps into Stephan Fry. He's not trying to hit the board. That's the difference. Yeah, Joe going up to

head the board, eyes on the board, no problem. But he see stephwood away and by the time Steph has that in hand, there's none need to jump into him. So put him in a lot worse. Thank me. Stephan Fries up and they gave him get back moving. Interesting that the Silva does not give a yellow card there, but it's the I justouldn't even say rookie and he was signed hours ago. Mikayla Joyner was a Saint Louis making a change here for them coming on a keel. Watch the twenty four

year old right back is coming on the field. Saint Louis look to make a change here in the second half and get something going as a long ball to Rusnak, It's taken by Tim Parker. The Saint Louis City work again here in the fifty ninth minute where it is Sounders to Saint Louis City zero

at Emerald Queen Casino pitch at Liming Field. Steve Sounders right now, you know, you wonder how long Brian Schmitzer may give it before making that first sub tonight with the I on Saturday leading to nothing right now, knowing that a third goal does yeah, I think the third boat then without question he's thoughts emptying his bench, right. I think at two nail it's still enough

of a frit from Satin Lewis and a low way to go. You know, we've been on the under receiving end of being down two nil, we get one at a sudden we have the momentum go and get a second. So it takes a simple moment for Saint Lewis and we've Lovan on the field. He kept great. Oh nothing, and so you don't want to make changes too soon. EVA if it is sound down second away, here's Rusnak, Rusnak trying to play it through ball of Morris, but it's taken away.

There a nice step in by Nielsen and a foul will be called on Rusnak, who is not happy about this one is at all. It looked like saying Louis was on the break. Sounders got it back, but a foul call and that will give the ball to the visitors. Here to I. There's a long ball here on the right side, taking away from Chew heads it down to Christian Rodan. Back to Chew working on the left side, dribbling around, but it's Totland getting in the way of that one.

Saint Louis will take it back. Chew putting in work now gets it back again to Morris. Sounders working just inside of Saint Louis's half with Rusnat plays it with obed Obit a lot of space, dribbling forward, jumps it around. Oh but it's cleared away from Saint Louis. A big chance, so much space there for Ovid Vargas. Yeah he did. I fit by the time. Oh but he's heads up in his defense. The angle of the

run for Jordan Morris just was no longer dead. And that's right, oh Man Jackson Reagan a wrong ball to Thornson, and Jackson Reagan steps in front with a slide tackle and clears that one away. A brilliant play there.

As we get a second look here in the stadium, Ovid Vargas tried to loop the ball into Morris and it looked like it came off arm of Nielsen, but no call, there, no review and we play on as the balgus to Stephan Fryan Gold and Senator's e Ssie Socker is presented by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders FC, who are leading to nothing here in the sixty second minute here from lumen Field and it's Alex working with Obed back

to Jackson Reagan. Sounders in no rush, leading to nothing right now, as we see Brian Schmitzer talking with his assistant coaches Freddie Warrez, Andy Rose, Tommy Deutra there on the side. Mine's coming together, probably figuring out what is the right move is Sounders playing just kicking it around the back, Alex Roldan, Jackson, Reagan, Obed Vargas, Christian Roldan, that force him now he's getting Stephan Fry into the mix. No rush at all for

this team right now. As we look at the scoreboard in MLS, obviously eyes for where this is going, as this ball is actually taking away from Saint Louis. Here to that in a moment, ball goes out right on the right. Here's Cline Climb going back into the middle of the park trying to find moving but he can't, and it's taken away from the Sounders. Three Sounders getting away and take it back. But Leo Chu can't dribble out of that one. There's some good pressure there from Saint Louis who taking it

right back now, dribbling in slide tackle from Vargas. He got just enough of that ball and the Sounders come away with it. Saint Louis who looked like it with the Saint Louis just foul. No bed Vargas and once again alexis to silver. The referee just simply did not call. I've given up trying to figure out the refan. He's made some amazing on plint quarters and he's got so much gold. But also it does give us a chance to say that I think, you know, we'll see Redbake Hawaii. We'll see

Roudiez. He will be the first two off the bed. So Brian Schmithson, as we said about ten fifteen minutes ago, at some point of Bulchi's bench, and it looks like that point is no. Yeah, it looks like read Baker, Whiting, Roll, Ruy diazle Fry will find Alex Roldan Sounders playing out of the back here in the sixty fourth minute, leading two

to nothing here at Emerald Green Casino Pitch at Lumen Field. This score update is presented by Nikolo ultram over on the left for New Who, with layot Chew back to New Who as Raoul getting warmed up three time issues final preparations before they come into this game, and we see what the choices are here as the ball goes out, and here are the choices for Brian Schmithser Roll

coming in for Lao Chu here in the sixty fourth minute. That is your Sounders first official change, and read Baker Whiting will be coming in for new Who here in the sixty fourth minute as well. So see they think here it's obviously for knew who and for Reed a straight swap at left back. But then for Raoul you imagine you can hear the ovation for roll Rude. Yes, eight goals on the year, he is going to play off top of you the Matchew Jordan going down to the wing. Yeah, so it

looks like Jordan wentz the right hand side. He's He's told rough Flock you go on the left. So yes, it's a good change with Branich. MAT's I thing, you know, he's still maybe one of the fun goal to free to kill the game up and who belt then the clubs all the time in the goal score up to bring on Rodwoods, who I know has not been in the land up recently, but he's actually statistically had a pretty decent season for the minutes he's had. It's a tremendous season and so much

of the penalties and wonder goals from distance the panankas. He would love to get his ninth of the year to give the Sounders a three to nothing lead. Saint Louis works inside the Sounders half. He's to the midway point, but went Durkin on the right side. It's top Saint Louis trying to look for some space, trying to look for an angle. How the Sounders have their man Roland, who is such a defensive wizard coming off the field. But Red Baker Whiting, Steve, he's been one of those guys that you

know coming off, you know, back from his injury. You know, we've just been kind of waiting to see that next step for Redbaker Whiting, and he's been good so far in his time back from his injury, very very good. And he's he's an exciting playoff. It's got to be said. He's an exciting guy who gets fans off the feet because he's brave, he's daring. He can play left back and left mid by in any sense. Very good defensively, he's not afraid to attack and drive up people as

well. So I think absolutely read Bakerwai. He's a player. He's on these minutes and listen, who still is for me, the best one v one defend in the league. So if you're pushing him for minutes. Then you're doing something great, Sounders leading to nothing here in the sixty six minutes.

Those were the first changes for Seattle as it's a throwing for Saint Louis here halfway down the line on the near side of the field, and they'll send it all the way back to their center back pairing Roaldridez with that pressure. Long ball over the top to Joiner, but that will be headed out and the Sounders will looks like have a very deep throwing just about a yard from the corner stick, all trolled on. He'll take a couple of steps.

Doesn't want to be throwing that in under that tide of pressure, to see how far he tries to send this one, to give himself and the Sounders a little bit of breathing. Throw it into Jackson Reagan who sends it along with Jordan Morris who's pulled down. No call, headed back up and around and back and forth again. More headers now to Rowald who brings it down to Rusnak Rustak going along. Unfortunately, nobody at the end of that one except for Nielsen, the center back for Saint Louis. He sent it

long but into the arms of Stephan Fryle. We were saying in a moment ago, you know, for the Sounders, if you're to win this one, a big three points brings you to thirty seven. Portland not playing tonight, they're at thirty six points. So as of this moment, Sounders would jump Portland for sixth place in the Western Conference. They wouldn't jump to fifth

because the Vancouver white Caps are having a nice night. They are leading one to nothing and they would be rising up the fourth place in the Western Conference if their lead hole. So Sounders right now in the live standings looking at sixth place right here, but again sixty eight minutes to nothing lead. Steve say the same thing to you that we let the broadcast off with MLS gonna MLS. At times anything can happen, and still with twenty two plus stoppage

to play, Sounders can't turn off. And this is offside Saint Louis getting it back here. Yeah, I think you know SUDD is a pretty comfortable right now. That the danger is it takes a second to score a goal, and in one Gold Breeze confidential momentum shifts, and that's why I think

they're a flood Gold absolutely kills the game off. Not to say that tou nil, it's a as aunty control uncomfortable, but Luisa Tootle's a very dangerous blot out and for a reason, as indeed is Roman Burkey will book be kicking this ball about twenty yards from the halfway line, and he will send this long to Joiner on the left side, gets headed down by Alex Trodono. Saint Louis City's still controlling here on the left side, but a long ball will go out of balance for a Sounders throw. And see, you

can already see the frustration here. You know, you're you're seeing yea kim Niel send the center back. He's trying to just find something there and he's clearly frustrated with the rookie Joiners. You know, you can just see a team that has not won on the road, you know, and has been coming out back to back forth to one losses, just in that behavior right

there, and already the frustration. See you're you're seeing what's going on in Saint Louis right now as a Sounder excuse me working forward with Obed and with Raoul and taking back by Saint Lewis. Go ahead, see start. Yeah, I mean I think Sadden to us came into the skamefiging know maybe we can close it up, Say hey, maybe we can win at two nail with the bowie. They've got one down to Crowton, the big screens hill.

They can see that chunk stiffing away and losing its tough so that defeat it just wears through the whole team, and that's what we'll see him. Here's Morris Morris did Raoul Rol has an eye for goalie bet passing throw it obed obed crossing it over, gets tipped up and headed away. Neilsen gets in the way of that one, but Raoul will still control it. Is still the Sounders all over on the left side for Rock Rock Roth Rock finding

against Tolling with space. Here's Raoul coming out to help. Now let's read with Christian got ten yards off the corner of the eighteen yard box. Hol back and forth, back and forth again, trying to find some space. And it's Read now passing in the role, but it's tipped away. Saint Louis will come away with it. It's Louvin trying to find a man. Is Jonathan Bell getting in the way. Bell finding Rothrock, Rothrock working against it, Alice tipped away. Here's Albert Rusnak who's trying to cross it.

It's out for a Sounders corner. That was a lot of work from Maul Rothrock, a lot of work from Albert Rusnak, and it ends with a Sounders corner. Steve Yeah, we'll see another example of the value of rough rug just Titus funny guess she results corner comes in, ends with the foot of Vargas shot and it's blocked back out to Alex Rodan sitting on it, uses his brother Christian out of Paul here on the right side. Paul will send it right back out to Read Baker whiting for this man back from the

Sounders. Some light pressure from Saint Louis here in the seventy first minutes als Roldan on the right. Does he have a man to cross it to? He does not, back out to Rothrock into a roof snack back Alex As. This ball will switch sides to the left here and Jonathan Bell Sounders,

leading to nothing. An own gold from the center back Tim Parker in the twenty seventh minute, and a header from Jonathan Bell in the forty ninth minute have Seattle leading to nothing right now as the ball goes into Paul Rothrock, who is taken down and once again no call from our rethree. Alexis to Silva as Paul Rothrock brought down hard right on the edge of the box, but no call. Play continues. Here's Obed working his way towards the box.

Obed stepping in but good shot just wide left, but it was looks like a tip was taken and that will be out for a Sounders corner. A great run from Obed Vargas and he tried to score with his left foot there from Obed, Yeah, you know really well, I think I think he maybe could even take this little bit sooner. I think he was actually way for something to open up. Who can I past to before realizing I'm

on the eighteen young books. I can go for it myself. And by that point Saint Louis had gay enough to fend his back a block on the board, but I'd not a love you run by Ovid Valgus. He's got a fantastic game tonight. Yeah, ob At the left footed shot looked like it was going right at Roman Burke. He it took a deflection off the defender who slid, and Roman Burkey got a hand to to keep it out

of the back of the net. All in all, pretty darn good safe from the veteran long ball coming in here to Raoul Rawl takes on his foot, but he cannot get that shot off. Looked like a long corner there from Rusnak trying to get a one timer volley from Raoul, but they couldn't find it. And now here's Saint Louis trying to counter Thornson, but al

Chrodan will have a foot in stop and shuts slightly. And Saint Louis now forced to regroup here on the right side, and that ball is gonna be taken away from Reed Beager whining, who's now we're gonna gallop down that west side. Reid has in space, he keeps the ball in. He slips it into Jordan. Jordan looking forward ro Raul Tipson and it's a safe, but it's a header, and it's another save. Roman Berkie, the goalkeeper

Russaint Lonas tumbles saved and you can only applaud the effort. Braud. Yes, sounders were on the break, but the Saint Louis goalkeeper the legend for Dartmund he came up huge for the visitors to keep this too nothing twice to very good say it's a great at tech again, wonderful cross by Jordan Morris and run with us everything right most times put contacts on the first one.

That's the clips safe sticks up in the air. Yes, a snappedal trying to head it down goalkeeper yet just as quickly and the sound as instead of be freeing up. But set here for a quota and it will be Rusnak, I'm an in swinger as here comes the Sounders. Next substitute Jul Polo now entering the field for Seattle. Coming off is Christian road on here in

the seventy fourth minute, there's the corner aired from Rusnak. It's a straight swap there defensive midfield Christian for JP as here comes the Bruce Knack corner sails in. Let's say Morris got ahead to it, but it will go on to Jonathan Bell at the back post, Bell with Obed Vargas now on the

edge of the box to JP who just came on to the field. Here in the seventy fifth Bell working with Alex Roldan Saint Louis got a foot to it to pass it back and a couple players are down injured here writhing in pain on the field. Looks like is that Obed Vargas. No, that's Alex Rodan just covering his face. Hard to see who that was, as Alex is in some pain right now, just about five yards outside of the corner of the eighteen yard box, Harrel loominfield where it's two nothing Sounders.

In the seventy fifth minute here at Emerald Pink Casino pitch and field, Alex Roldan in some pain there. As we look at the replay here and Alex Roldan was inadvertently punched in the face. Alex Rodon trying to work to kind of recover a ball that was bouncing around and I'm not sure if that was Yakam Nielsen or Tim Parker who had a handout stretched and very easily Alex Roldon just kind of ran into it and Burton completely. But Alex Roldan in some

pain right now. And for Brian Schmitzer, you've made as MLS rules, you can make five substitutions at three different points plus halftime. So we just saw Roul reed JP. Just a few moments ago Ago came on for Christian Roldan. But now Alex Roldon is back up and he's uh yeah, he's chogging on the sideline. He looks good to go, Alex Roldan. He

was. He was in some pain for a moment there, and in the span of about fifteen seconds, Steve he gets up, runs to the side and then starts jogging back and forth immediately as if to say, I'm not gonna stay out of this game for long. Yeah, I'm good. He wanted to get back on I think you know, it looks the wind out of him, a little bit dead. He will see two by the trainers that chance to compose himself, and it looks like nothing too seriously, and

that's why he wants to get back on the pitch right away. And I think it's gonna be allowed to as soon as the skull kicks take it, free kicks taking this, We'll be taken here in a moment. Wow, we have a moment. Let's go down to Michelle on the sideline. Oh, thank you Jackson. Yes, obviously the coaching staff not thrilled with the call there on that last play. It's been a very testy game, as you too have alluded to that you know the referee has really been letting them

play. But when you really look at the numbers right now, Saint Louis has only been called for four fouls this game, while the Sounders are now at thirteen. Stephan cry Will come up with a fairly easy save here in the seventy seventh minute, thank you, Michelle. Leading to nothing right now, Saint Louis just a moment ago, bringing on Jayden Reed, a twenty two year old left back from New York, trying some sort of combination to

give themselves an opportunity. But seconds are dwindling down here for Saint Louis on the road. Seattle looks for their sixth consecutive win here now passing around the back to Jackson, Reagan moving himself forward and JP now retreating. And it was by the way, Nukei Thornson. They're big forward. He's coming out

of a match for a defensive player. Almost. I don't want to say it's a move that shows signs of Saint Louis giving up, but I'll just say that they took off an attacker and they brought on a defender Steve, that might be all you need to say with this match at to nothing in the seventy eighth minutes. Yeah, I fin as the resignation. I think they filled at a game and we said two notes. Takes a vote to change things, but they we have no exploring. There's been a few moments

of threat more in the first half. Second off, it's really been dominant by the sound We've been exceptional, but just very much in control. But a second go ahead of timely manna and just sort of being able to write this out now without Stephen fry to be put into action too often. Nephin said, luis to right on the water. They certainly do, and you

just do feel it right now. It's been a full control. I mean Sounders haven't need to push too much for that third just because of the lack of anything offensive for Saint Louis all but a couple of moments there where there was probably just a few moments ago the chance of the half for the visitors and Stephen Frye coming up with a very very easy save as they'll pass it around the back line with fry and with Jackson, Reagans, Jaye and Reed

who just came on playing on the left wing, giving some pressure to Reagan. JP now finding Alex Rodan on the right, here's Roul. You do a deeper position trying to find Morrison. A throw ball down to the right corner and Morris will find it. Nobody there inside the box to get it to here's Morris. He does foot the ball into Albert Rusnak. Rusnack crosses

and it's Totland. Who's gonna be hitting that away for a Sounders corner here in this now eightieth minute, Steve, and they're actually gonna be calling this a goal kick offside? And oh and here's the thing. I thought Jordan was offside And I don't know why they waited fifteen to twenty second. I mean that was twenty seconds after the play that so much developed, and I

don't understand it. I mean, Jordan looks offside when we played. I think Jordan knew he was upside, but the play was left to continue and then in the end referee finally brings it back. But you're gonna do that maybe five second to see that was a good twenty second. My mind never even went off side. Says it was so much later as Roll finding Bruce back, Rusnak to Morris, nobody in front of him. What I want? Jordan Morris, Morris o'd saved by Roman Perky, Rom and Burki have

a game. What a save there? One on one with Jordan who is on his knees, probably wondering how in the world he would not able to score that one. Yeah, it's a great pause by Russ Snake. No surprise to see that combination again between Russnick and Morris. And he's one on one and listen with a form he said. I can't be grudge him taking that chance. But at the back post with Paul rough Rut and if you later board across from rough Rook, there is a simple tapping. But he's

a strike with Jordan Morris in great form. He's on the right seat. That chunks stand for Jordan right now, I mean eight goals in the last ten ham last games. The corner comes in and it's head over by Jonathan Bell. There'll be a goalkick for Roman Burgie Sounders leading to nothing near in the eighty first minute. Let's head down to Michelle. Thanks Jackson. We are less than ten minutes plus stappas him away of history. Being made here

tonight at Lumenfield. If the score is to stand and the clean sheet for the Sounders is to stand, Stephen fry would one hundred and twelve career shoutouts from MLS play, tying him with Kevin Hartman for second in league history. So a lot to watch for tonight. So hopefully we come away with three points and some history nine minutes and stop it your way. Thank you,

Michelle from Stephen fry equaling that Mark. I'm not sure, Steve, if anybody's ever gonna get to Nick Romando at one hundred and fifty four, I mean, Stephan Frye would have to play as he was one hundred and twelve. He'd have to play, no matter of what. Two full seasons maybe three, probably more like three or four full seasons with a spiches. Yeah, I think be enough. I think you need five six years because that level of Fiachi's I mean, Romando was great. Yeah, you faced him

and Nick Romando is on another level. Yeah Yeah, pedagainst both, so pedagainst Steph betting gas Nick sport against both, but also shot up by both as well. So yeah again, Steph testament to him what he's done. Moving we wait the same draft cross. I've known Steph a very long time since Cottage actually on to watch his career come hit, came into a resients his career and meant it was a lot of question monks, and he's blown

him all out of the wall. He's been absolutely outstanding, and every record he's getting, every exit he's getting is well deserved. He's a hardwell because a team let out there. But the Ramanda one may be a bit too fun. You guys face to California. When he was playing for cal No, I knew of him, so he knew of me. I knew of him because he had the same agent pursuing us up, so I knew that.

And then I paid him sound as Toronto and had a nice board against back when Steph Carrs spent that was a bad, bad twenty nine through thirteen, I think with Toronto. And then yeah, obviously trade to Seattle for a what was that conditional draft pick back in twenty at the end of twenty thirteen, and he's gonna be one of the best trades. And I'm in

a comraditional draft picks stunning fried. It's pretty it's pretty good. Yeah, what I love about that trade was the fact that it happened on December tenth, three of the Stoppagen play. By the way, Saint Louis City has a player down here in the eighties third minutes. But what I love about that trade was the fact that it was on December tenth, three years to the day before Steph comes up with the Sade in MLS Cup twenty sixteen,

and of course the rest is history. And now seven minutes and stoppage way from his one hundred and twelfth career regular season shutout, He's already, by the way, second most ever for you know MLS in terms of postseason shutouts at thirteen, so able to capture the regular season record is it's like we're gonna get two more changes here for the Sounders in the final moments here before

stoppage. Let's take one quick look here before we get to those substitutes around MLS as we look at various games, because there's a lot going on here in the Western Conference tonight, and we see Vancouver now leading Sporting by a score of two to one. I would put the Sounders with this win into sixth place. Meanwhile, in LA a couple of big games the LA Galaxy leading the Karorad Rabbits by a score of three to two right now. Also a game that's a little bit behind us. Right now. LAFC were also

lake even at one point one in the sixty eighth minute. All standings hold and we'll let you know at the end. Sure on the postgame show two Sounders at thirty seven points, they'll jump the Portland Timbers and have the sixth place in the West as the night ends, looking ahead to a major match

on Saturday against LAFC. Two subs here for Saint Louis here to end tonight, We're gonna see Jabul Blam coming out of the field for Edward Luvin, and the other change here as well is gonna be Joshua Yarrow coming out of the field. So two changes for Saint Louis their final two changes as it's gonna be Yakam Nielsen coming out of the game, So a center back swap there and a defensive midfield swap for Saint Louis. Nothing that indicates too much

attacking president. Meanwhile, for the Sounders, it looks like Danny Leva and Danny Masoski the double Danny swap coming here. Momentarily for Seattle Steve and this maybe if it's just straightforward, then it's Jordan Morris and it's Obed Vagas coming out. But bron Spencer has been known to for a few rink who's out there move people around, so we'll see exactly what he does. A fin of smart play would be to get Jordan out. You don't want anything happened

to him before the weekend. He's had a good eighty five minute run nowt eighty six minutes or so, and Ovid Vagas is the same. You're gonna need both at the weekend. Obviously, Jordan's gonna be super happy with a two not thing win. Of course, I do wonder if the last thing he thinks of before his head hits the bed tonight is the Roman Burkey said where he would had a one on one a few minutes ago. Yeah, the very best strikers, I'm never happy if they don't score, and I

love that. That's what makes on the top. You know, if we could win five million, Clinton will be pleased and Oba will be pleased, but they wanted to score. So Jordan hopefully has the same mindset mentality as well. Well, here comes the changes and it is exactly what you predicted there, obed artist Jordan Morris coming off the field to nice applause here at Lumen Field for Mazowski and Lava. And the night is over for Jordan Morris. So listen, eight goals in his last eleven MLS games, now four

goals in his last five. We'd still say going into Saturday, Jordan Morris is absolutely on fire still, but for tonight he will be seeing no goals. The Sounders looks like leading to nothing right here into the eighty seventh minute, the Seattle Sounders will be looking at a nice three points if this hold. So Sounder fans, if Sander's FC scores anytime after the eightieth minute during a home match, you'll have a chance to win free Lasik surgery from Sharp

Vision, Modern Lasic and limbs. Sign up today at sandrosfc dot com slash laser focus. As the ball goes to Raoul, he tries to hit it on to Russneck, but intercepted it by Saint Louis visitors working on the left side, trying to advance the ball but getting blocked away from Alix rolled On and Mazowski who just came out of the field. Here's Blob finding a read

on the left side. Dirkin on the left trying to find something for Saint Louis here in the dying moments, but it's taken away from Joel Paulo as they worked towards the box and referee about twenty another few seconds and you let that play develop really long? Did Alexis to Silva and then finally brings it back for a free kick for Saint Louis about twelve yards outside of the eighteen yard box. Steve, Saint Louis a chance here in the eighty eighth minutes

to find something free, some sort of miracle here late in Lumenfield. Yeah, and it would be nothing. Show up, amrathqu I think at this

point, honestly, it's even to sneak one. It's a toast for a team that hasn't been playing well, that's been getting used to getting beat to come back here against team next yetto who an excellent forum, very good defensively and awesome to score three goals to win and two to type in about six minutes or so on the cross coming into the back post and that ball will go all the way into buying your square and then will be out for a goalkick for Stephen Fry And yeah, I mean you look at Saint Louis on

the road or at this season going into tonight, oh five and five, that looks like it's gonna turn into six and five. We know they talked about it earlier. They fired their head coach, Bradley Carr. Now just a few weeks ago. You know, Sounders now working, but turning the ball away. Here's Saint Louis City working on the left side again with reed for something, cutting in with that ball will be cut out from Azsk Mazusk

trying to find Rothrock long but it's intercepted again. Now Saint Louis City coming back on the right side. Cross comes in, it's cleared away, Danny Lava clearing that back. Saint Louis still pushing, still trying to work it in. Now working in the center of the field. Here's Blomb. It just came on. It's a reed read looking for a cross and it comes off off of the arms of Durkin, and that will be out for a Sounders goalkick. Here in the eighty ninth minute. Well, this copyrighted audio

cast of Major League Soccer. Maan I'll be retransmitted, reproduced or rebroadcast without the express route consent of Major League Soccer and Stephen Fry will hold on to this one. Sounders have made their changes, so have Saint Louis. No more to come here because we are into the ninetieth minutes, leading to nothing. An own goal in the twenty seventh minute by Tim Parker and a header from Jonathan Bell in the forty ninth minute. Albert Rusnak's eleventh assist for the

Sounders right now. I mean you look at this right now, Steve. He has eleven goal contributions, four goals, seven assists in his last ten MLS games. As here he is again. Sounder's working with Danny Leava offer on the right side for Ales rolled on Alex looking to cross it. They asked to use jp Jo Paulo now into the middle for Danny Leava Sounders trying to build a triangle. Rave has to send this one back to Chick and raging m Steve, you're saying Albert Rusnak just you could not be more on

fire than Albert Rusnak is right now. And that's the thing. You've got two of them sometimes you'll see one play going to a hot streak and the kind of take turns. Having him and Jordan Morris at this stage in the season, you couldn't asto Morefiel Braniche mess sign botha being absolutely fantastic again tonight with that four minutes out of here Loman Field Sounder is controlling along the back. Here's Reed. Reed takes a step, he's looking down that left side.

He's trying to hunt for a third goal for the Sounders. Comes inside the Lava Lava slipping a ball into roll roll looking for some space, trying to create some lava from outside shot, and that goes high into the stands for Danny Lava. For a moment there it looked like Rollo was gonna try something audacious, slipped it to Lava, his good friend, and unfortunately that

shot goes high. The Sounders right now, just three and a half minutes away from their sixth consecutive win, their nineteenth point in the last seven games, and Al's having a chat with Branich s Messa before the game, just saying, look, as I said, coach, if I'm wrong, tell I don't think you've played your best Suckley, He goes, no, you absolutely right. We've faded moments, we've improved, but this group has a

lot more to give. And the way I understand that is the rest of MLS has to be a notice a team that isn't at their very best picking up results left Fran sent up. So I guess when we do figure it out all the way Firelan war sitting does, there'll be a force to be reckoned with. Here's Rusnak coming into the final third pass out to Rothrocks just cut inside from Totland as Saint Louis City trying to find a long ball,

but he's off and they're actually gonna give a yellow card here. Looks like to Paul Rowthork it's an sb SGB yellow card when a foul is called SGB trial lowers our hair to help visit SGB dash law dot com. It was interesting see because that play started. You see JP working through the middle of the park and it looked like it was gonna be a Sounders break. You saw him kind of feel the moment and go, I you know, we

can we can slow this down a little bit. We can take a moment and he kind of slips a ball over the left instead of your driving forward Sounders, feel this one leading to and nothing right now, Yeah it's over and now it's just game management. No need to chase anything more, no need to risk injury with that final sprint play with vein yourself, Saint Louis know the game is done as well, and all nights towards this weekend a

massive, massive game. But it's this kind of game back site shoot because it's a real measurements against a very very good team with one MLS Cup, a Viion finals, been a Champions League final as well, a team that knows how to win. And if you ain't good full you want to face the best and see how you measure up. LFC right now with the won one game against raalsall awake. So with LA Galaxy leading three to two right now over Colorado Galaxy right now, may be shockingly to suck, including myself

at the top start in the Western Conference. At this moment, LAFC is slipping in the second in the Western Conference with forty four points. Sounders on thirty seven. Listen to me, it was not long ago we were talking about the Sounders. Okay, just hunting get into that playoff picture now they're well within the playoff picture and now they well have their sights on LFC just

seven points ahead if the night ends with current scores. Sounders working in the final third with roll out to the left to read read back to Danny lavin the middle. Sounders just patiently taking their way to a win tonight. JP

kicking around, keeping the ball away. That's gotta be a foul and it is finally Lexus to Silva calls fall on dual follow and it will be a free kick here in the ninety fourth minute and what may very well be the last kick of the game as this wind's down dual polo controlling till the end here. Yeah, he's done well, coming on a nice cameo appearance. Got to rest as well with Tony do he's buddy good and get into the weekend. But I want to mind some albat go free. I mean it's

far out, but why not so the last kick of the game. Once this plays, old Bud, the whats is gonna go? You've won the game. Job well done. Try to end on a hight. Let's see what he does here for if over it takes the kick, he goes for the shot and it ends up in the arms of Roman Burkie. Not a bad take there from alvar Rousta. He was wanting that for himself. And it's now Saint Louis on the counter, but once again a boar pass and

there is the final whistle. Here the stadium erups shares all around as the Sounders have won their six straight game nineteen points from their final seven matches as they rise to sixth place in the Western Conference, jumping the Partland Timbers tonight with a two nothing win over Saint Louis City a Tim Parker owned goal in the twenty seventh minutes and a fantastic header goal from Jonathan Bell his first in

Rave Green in the forty ninth Get your Sounders another big three points tonight ahead of Saturday's match against the LAFC Steam. Yeah, job well done. We've all ready king out second gets to be honest, but kay with a Suns been table, find themselves pickle choose that moment know when they could really go for it. Played with fire a little bit in the first half, wasn't burn and after that came out a second off that early goal really putting this

game to bed. There was no way Saint Lucis squored three one goal let alone three and the game. The victure was at short game management, but the subs and at the right time. Again, runch Master's team could not

be a bit of form. Heading into what's gonna be a massive game against LFC this weekend, we see Stephen Fry visiting with Roman Burkey, both of them from Swiss origins, and Stephen Fry obviously with the countryman visiting alongside is his one hundred and twelfth career clean sheet that is second in MLS history. Now with Kevin Hartman, imagine somewhere in the rest of the season he's gonna slide into that second spot overall, both of them behind Nick Romando's still at

one fifty four. But a great night for Stephen Fry and Steve Before we hear from Steph two names Peter de Ovegga, Yamark Holmes, Andrody. Neither of them touched the field tonight. They are going to be full strength, you'd thinking available for head coach Brian Schmitzer coming Saturday against the l AFC. Yeah, Yema's definitely starting. We know that I would not be surprised to

see Peggue out down this weekend. I think he's been training well, he's intense, he's been going up. He's had a few minutes here and there. Listen, maybe off the bench, but he gets starting off this weekend. I will not be surprised to see Brian Schamessa. It's uh, not only Yema but Pegea, a vegae got into the lineup from the start this weekend. Let's go down. Let's hear from that man, Stephen Fry talking

with Michelle. Look here right now, thank you Jackson's Steph. First of all, congratulations on the two nil win, fifth win in a row. Now with the two nil finish, what stands out to you from your team's performance today is a difficult game, honestly, a bit of what we call a chap game. You know, you're you're you're facing a ponent holds more

than capable, but it just hasn't really been able to define results. And for us, all the pressures on us at home, we're doing well, so for then they can come in here and there's nothing, there's nothing, there's nothing to lose angry in the game. So it's a very very difficult match because they have more than capable players. So for us to show up again, and I think we we we took a chance as well. You know, we at times we had good possession, good spells of possession,

but then we were very direct at times as well. So I think that's been a recipe for for for success and we need to do more of that. So it's good. It's great. We've also extended your unbeaten streak to seven matches now and have really climbed the tables over the last month, currently now in sixth place. What has changed with this squad over the last month, month and a half. Honestly, it's just we found results. The work ethics always been there. I think the quality has always been there.

We've just we were just always on a nice edge and we always felt the wrong way and and once we finally felt the right way and we were able to get some results and get some confidence out of that, we haven't looked back. And you know, you want to extend these spells for as long as you can. So I'm very happy that we've been able to because we needed to to be able to on the table. But but I think our quality is coming out. People can see it. I think fans are happy

with the with the football that they're seeing. It's attractive footballs, it is exciting, it's explosive, and most importantly, it's getting us three points, especially at home. Now, fifth straight home win this season, following last season where you didn't quite get many as many home wins as you'd hoped. Obviously, that was a goal this year to turn this place back into a fortress. What does it mean to you and this squad to be able to

do this for these fans? Uh, it's huge. It's it's it's huge for the fans obviously, to reward everybody that shows up consistently to celebrate us and to push us on. I think it's very important for us as a team because when you have a good away record, you have to make those count by being good at home. And in the past, unfortunately we've had good away records and then we've kind of, you know, missed a beat at home, and so so you're kind of wasting those good efforts on the

road. Now it's starting to come together to making all those things counting. It's great And I know you're not one to want to ever talk about yourself, but a huge congratulations to you to night one hundred and twelve career shutouts, moving you to a tide for second place and career all time. Let's walk down here, Steph as we as I ask you this question because we can't have you miss seeing the fans. What does it mean to you to

hit that huge milestone. Oh, it just means that I've been blessed with amazing squads in front of me. I've always said it. Shutouts are such precious and very vulnerable things that can have that can be snapped away within a second. But if I have eleving or ten guys in front of me that do what they do, then it makes my job easy and I'm so blessed. Congratulations, Steph. Don't celebrate with fans, Jackson, thank you,

Michelle, great stuff. There is Steph joins arm in arm and the players celebrating with the pro men as your sounders, tapping off a two nothing win tonight here over Saint Louis City. Listen. Sounders FC Socker is brought to you by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of Seattle Sounders FC. The Sounders FC

postmat show starts now. Welcome back to lumen Field. I am Keeley Dunning alongside Brad Evans and coach Pete Pewing about to recap a very happy, very exciting two nail victory over Saint Louis City. We are now for and o against the expansion side. Delta Airlines is proud to donate one soccer ball for every mile ran by Sounders FC players this season through Ray Foundation's Mile one Ball program. All right, I got the read in, guys, what a

game? What a second half? Take me through some of the key moments that led to this victory. Yeah, I think it was the Sounders, you know, taking a chance in the first half and getting Alex in behind. How many times have we asked for Alex to get forward and start swinging in balls. We're talking about the Alex roldono two three years ago where he had you know, seven eight nine assist on a season. That was because

he was serving the ball from wide positions. And I think his addition with with Paul Rothrock back into the lineup, I think it allows Alex a bit more freedom on that right hand side because he know he's he's gonna get covered from Rothrocks. What allows Alex to get forward and it's a well swung in ball and it's a great goal and then it's a Sounders determination to put this one to bed. We talked about it at halftime, was you get the second one, the game is over. And from there it just felt very

easy. Saint Louis pretty anemic in the second half. Yes, in the first half. They were always gonna live and die by set pieces, and we did. We afforded them the opportunity to do that. Step and Fry came up clutch a couple times. With the Sounders possession tonight, I mean they killed it in possession with seventy two percent at halftime and overall sixty sixth times. So Schmeeitzer's metrics are right, his subs are right. Everything went

well for the Sounders. Yeah, very business like. It was a fun game. You know where the record now is ten seven and seven and that looks so much better than what it looked like a month ago. And now that's five MLS wins in a row, a clean sheet for Steph to be tied with Hartman number two in the league, so that's fantastic. And the restart at halftime we said, let's get a goal on a restart. We

were close. We were close in the first half when Jackson Reagan nodded that one back across the goal mouth and then what a great header, What a great header for Jonathan Bell got up snapped that ball and now, boy, everybody right now looks so sharp. And at halftime we said, hey, we got la on Saturday, right, and the ideal would be an early

goal and get subs on. Jordan Morris plays a great ball to Ruidas, which is a hey, you know, Jordan Morris is leading the team in scoring, but he plays a great selfless ball across and Ruy Diaz has the shot keeper for Saint Louis comes up with two big saves. So really they're clicking. Well we click. We can't underestimate how big the wins actually are. Right, that's now six wins on the trot. It's eighteen points.

And if they only won two of those games, you looking at a Sounders team that is well below even the qualification line for the playoffs and probably behind FC Dallas. Everyone is doing good in that like six range team. Yes, the top two have taken off climb. Everyone is keeping pace with Vancouver winning tonight Colorado up fortunately lost to the Galaxy, so you gain that little

bit on Colorado, but now it becomes even more tight. Vancouver on thirty eight, Rapids thirty eight, Sounders thirty seven, thirty six for Portland, thirty four with Houston, and you know, Minnesota probably not gonna make it, but those five teams are just so just really goes to show you how massive this run is for the Sounders right now and such the right timing. And we'll talk about Jonathan Bell a little bit more later. Obviously huge,

huge game for him playing against his former team. Always. First of all, I love when a defender scores and a header, it's awesome. But then to watch a player score against their former team, I mean, Brad talk about how satisfying that must be. Yeah, I mean I've never done it before, but I could imagine and probably feel pretty dang dreams. Yeah in my Yeah, But look, I think he did all the right things right. He rows up for the header, it's a fantastic it's another set

piece assist from Albert Rusnik. And you know that you don't celebrate against a former team. No matter how good the experience was or how bad the experience was, it's always showing that respect. And he did it with class and he got his goal and he jogged back and had a smile. But I mean, yes, we've talked about Jonathan Bell throughout this season. I think it was a bit of an unknown, more than just a bit of an unknown coming into this one. And now, you always love those stories where

a guy comes in, puts his head down. He's a quiet kid. He's not doing all this stuff off the field. He just sticks to his own, knows his business. When he's got his name called, he stepped in, done it well. He got a call up for Jamaica in Copa America as well, and now he's back here rewarded with another start and he puts one in the back of the net. And that that's what you want

out of your center back, is set piece goals. And now you're in your names in the equation, right, yeah, So and that and that sharpens up gums Androta. And you said something to me or watching I thought Jackson Regan was really good today. And Brad said, well, that's because he's on the right side. And Bells on his natural position. Yeah, I mean he looked he looked different, more composed, more comfortable on the ball. What stepped the balls better? Yeah, I thought Jonathan Bell had

had a great game overall. You know, the first ten to fifteen minutes, a little shaky, trying to figure out, you know, his positioning with knew who and how that was gonna work. And there were a couple of times where the first one that Saint Louis got in behind was because Jonathan Bell stepped when shouldn't have stepped. But he made a good recovery and recover from there, and then the rest of the game was pretty well flawless.

Uh And and you know, Saint Louis's attack tonight was was nothing, but it's a credit to the back four for nullifying what could have been a trap game. Yeah. And by the way they scored in the what forty ninth minute, forty eight minute, forty ninth minute time? That is the dream start to that second half. I mean talk about sort of how that sequence

of events was pretty perfect and fell right into Schmeitzer's hands. Yeah, especially with a team that's come off giving up eight goals in the last two games. What I love is we've sex six guys from the Academy playing the night and looking sharp. From Leva Obed, I thought Ovid was really good. H Morris, Rothrock, Reagan, Reid Baker, Whiting. I love and knew who coming. I like the little details. It tells you you're going

in the right direction. Knew who's sprinting off the field, shaking hands with coach Schmetzer. Everybody right, that's a post let's disrespect all the way around. It's hey, I'm part of this team. That's and that's maybe why coach Metcher left him out for a week and lesson learned. And now we've got ten games to go in the season. I'm amazed there's a week ten

that's gone. Yeah, so you talk about respect. But on that sequence with the would be Raoul Ridiaz goal was an outside the foot pass again from read Baker writing, and then you you follow it up with a Jordan outside the right and Raoul's unfortunate not to score there, but all three of them coming together and Raoul making a point to you know, slap a hand like it's the little tiny things like you're saying that can it's the small small details

that change the course of a game and a course of a season, because one of those guys could have still been in it and gone gone at it right. And then and then you're finding a divide in the locker room. But they've they've told us that this is a locker room that's together. And you see the little things. That's proof in the putting right there. If Morris doesn't that ball, it sends a message that Jordan doesn't want to send

and Rule doesn't want to receive. But Steady selfless and gives her the balls. So, yeah, it's a happy locker room, isn't it. Bread, Yeah, it's a happy locker room. And you know these are the ones. A midweek game, they can be difficult, but to go in there after this one midweek, especially winning away from home, it's a quick turnaround to fly all the way from Austin, get your legs underneath you,

and to perform as a great crowd on a Wednesday night. And now comes the real test, and that's against LAFC, who's a real contender this year as I think they tie Rail Salt Lake right now. So it'll be a big test for the Sounders this weekend. Hopefully it packed house here again, lots to go over. And by the way, Jonathan Bell is our Toyota man in the match, so congratulations to him. Forty nine minutes in here at logan phil Albert Rosncks eleven assist of the year for Jonathan Bell his third career goal and the Sounders double their lead here early in the second half. That was our Emerald Queen Casino play of the match. Jonathan Bell scoring against his former team, Saint Louis City. Sounders win over Saint Louis City two. Neil Tonight, I'm Keiley Dunning here with coach Bete

Pewing and Brad Evans. Guys, we've been talking about good vibes, only great game, basically dream Everything went extremely well, everything went to plan. But I'm very curious specifically, what do you think coach is, uh, what does coach coaches message in the locker room after this game. I think he's positive. I think it's great, and I think he says, throw it behind us, let's get ready for LFC. Brad said it. That's the game that you circle on your schedule and where they are number two in

the table right now. It's a huge game because you can climb up a little bit. But I think he's I think he goes around. I think he's really complimentary, says something good about Stephen Fryby in number two all time and shutouts now tied tied with with Hartman. So and then I think he says, hey, but we got business to take care of. We're rolling, we're going in the right direction. Let's get ready for LAFC. Yeah.

I mean he's gonna have his notepad in his hand, he's gonna have his pen and he's gonna tap the you know, the notepad a couple of times. Well, I'll watch it on Instagram later, but he you know, he's gonna say that was a workman like performance and you guys deserve to win as they and they did. Right. He makes a couple changes in the lineup and it pays dividends once again. He gets the rest guys for Saturday, which is a huge plus for this team because they've got a lot

of games in the past month, month and a half. I think the seven in July. Yeah, and that can catch up to you quick So when you can and they can afford to right now, when you're in a good run of form, you can afford to make those changes. It's when you're not where you have to play guys, knock on wood. This team is pretty healthy right now heading into the last ten games, and so if they can keep that trend going, I don't see why they can't knock off

lafc here at home. I don't think they've been as sharp as of late, and it might be something that the Sounders can take advantage of. And also, just after watching tonight's game, we just there was so much joy. There was so much fun. You could hear the crowd cheering, there were attacking movements, there were chances, et cetera. Like it feels like Sounder Soccer is back, and it also feels like we're ready for LAFC.

Well, I think they just have to understand and recognize the occasion that will be Saturday night, right because they're gonna have to put it to LAFC. It's not gonna be a game where they're just gonna be able to slowly keep possession. It's gonna take a massive effort from this group. They're gonna have to play direct, they're gonna have to play in behind and really swarm LAFC. Because that's a team. If you let them get into a rhythm,

they will pick you apart. And with those front three OLIVERA Bogush and Danny Bowonga, I mean, these guys are very very good players and they will punish you. And he showed it last year with LAFC came into here and all it took was one one chance for a turnover from the Sounders. They'd loy you to sleep. They find any Bowoga in one pass, he dribbles forty fifty yards, cuts in and bangs it in the far post. And so it's still a massively dangerous team, but one that I think the Sounders

right now they're thinking bringing on. Yeah, I think so too. I think you're both right. They're peaking at the right time there, and they're gonna be sharp. JP played ten to fifteen minutes right today, so he'll probably get the start. De la Vega could get the start. Raoul I thought was sharp and created a couple of chances. And to your point, I was on the field when Bowoga scored. They'll probably show that video and just say, look, this is what can happen if we lapse for one

or two you take a playoff right or a couple of seconds. But they'll be fired up, especially it's LAFC. That's become a pretty darn good rivalry pretty quick in this relationship. So but that's a game. It again, they've got firepower and it's a team you get a for these A game like today is a game that you look past. They didn't do it. But I think what Schwetz is able to do is rest some guys. You got. You got Pedro de la Vega minutes this past weekend in Austin, and

now I think what you're gonna see is Yamar come back in. You're gonna see Christian go back out wide right, JP obed, and then you're going to see de la Vega Rusnak, Christian rolled on on the right and Jordan up top, and that'd be the first time I think that we've seen that lineup and that one that is one that will strike fear into an opponent's into an opponent's eyes, and I'm excited to see that for Saturday. It's just exciting to see coach have his full arsenal, you know, all the options,

all like everything. He has all the fire like it feels like we have the firepower to beat LAFC. Sometimes that's actually harder though, because then Schmetz really has to make a decision and justify, Like how you bring off a Paul Rothrock who has been a catalyst for this run of form, not necessarily tonight with it with a goal and assist, but it was his ability to draw fouls get us out of trouble licensey right, yeah, And and

and it's him getting up and down the field. There's no substitute for hard work. But Christian will do that in place of Paul come this weekend, I think. And then you add Pedro to that one, and you know, I don't envy Schmittz. He's got to make some big time decisions and that's going to be a tough one. Well, they're winning, so coach

is right out. That works. You know. Jonathan Bell would be an interesting one, but as you said, Gomez Andredia will come back in and he should because he's been a stalwart defender for us for a long time. And Bell is just gonna have to say, yeah, I had a goal. Yeah he'll he'll know he had a great game against Austin too. He had a great game against Austin. Well that just means now we have three competent center backs, but we know who the two starters are. Totally broadcast

You know it was so perfect the first time. I'm not gonna mess it up the second time. You want to try? For no. A huge win person Founders FC tonight two nil over Saint Louis City. A chilly dunning here with

Brad Evans and coach peteviewing. Great night for the Sounders, potentially an even greater night for Stephen Fry, who moves into second place all time for clean sheets in Major League Soccer, tying the legend Kevin Hartman. Guys, how much does this guy deserve it? Talk about how great he is? I think I scored. I was telling Pete my first goal against Kevin Hartman. It could be a mistaken in LA. That's how old I am. Dang it, guys, I'm dating myself. But yeah, it's a massive one

for Stephan Frye. I think, you know, it just goes to show he had to come up big tonight in a couple occasions, right, there were a couple of close calls. He takes a one off the chest early in the game, and then a couple of close calls on some set pieces and that, like I said, that's how Saint Louis was going to score tonight. They weren't going to score by beating you with good interchange. You can tell that Lovin was frustrated in the midfield. He's such a high quality

player. If you plugged him into the Sounders team, I think you'd see, you know, a similar assists to Rusnak. He's that high quality of a player when you watch him, but everyone around him trying to support he can't do it all. And you know you'd like to see it if you're a Sounders fan. But that is a testament to the Sounders team. And then Steph keeps the ball out of the back of the net, and that's the biggest think tonight was Steph reaching that landmark and he's on the Mount Rushmore

for the Sounders greatest of all time. And you know, you can't say enough about the guy and what he does in the community and what he bleeds Rave Green. Yeah, and we said it before the game started. He's the consummate pro. And it's how many times we said Steph came up big. You know that one off his chest was in the first seven eight minutes. Then we go down one nothing and now all of a sudden the game

gets very different, right and Saint Louis starts to pack it. He comes up with that big save, one in coming out for a punch on a restart, and then one where he's got Saint Louis forwards around him and he smothers the ball and hangs onto it. You rarely see him cough up a ball, and yeah, he does deserve that. I think he's quietly If you're an MLS fan, you'd say Fry's number two. They would be surprised.

We have the luxury of seeing it week in and week out. And you know, as a captain, I love the fact that you know, Casey Keller was our captain when you were playing Brad and for Friy to be the captain as well, but certainly earned it. And let's hope he continues and gets close to Nick Romondo. That's a couple of years away. I think it's about forty that he's got to get to. So one fifty four is the number I believe Nando has. That's forty ish right, so unbelievable.

Yeah, yeah, Nick Romondo did have a great career, So anyway, Steph deserves it. Congratulations to him and Tommy Dutro as well. Yeap, he is just a consummate Seattle Sounder, humility, all of that. And if you guys want to learn more about Stephan Prian a little bit about his life, please check out our Behind the Shield series on all of our digital channels.
