Now back to Seattle Sounders Sucker on Sports Radio ninety three point three kJ r FM se pre match show presented by Providence Swedish. It's time for today's Sharp Vision Opponent Outlook taking a look at LAFC. The Opponent Outlook is presented by Sharp Vision, Modern Lasig and Lens, the official Lasik provider of Sounders FC.

LAFC come to Seattle sitting in second place in the Western Conference, just two points behind La Galaxy, but they do have two games at hand against their intercity rivals, firmly in the battle for the Supporters Shield, and it's going to be a big test for your Seattle Sounders. We just talked about last segment how the Sounders can balance going forward and protecting their back line against

some very potent offense. But the two guys that we have to keep an eye on today, guys are Denny Buanga fourteen goals, eight assists and Mateush Bogush. They're two kind of talisman up front. How the Sounder is going to keep them off the scoreeshet today, I don't know. I think every team that they've faced this year probably talks about this in their pregame show. Every coaches meeting leading up to LAFC game. You're just praying that one of

those guys is not on the field. There's nothing you can do to really neutralize these guys. I mean, you have to play fast, you have to play physical, and I think as a defender you just always have to know where they are all the time. Right, those are the two guys that are the most dangerous, but also that can low you to sleep a little bit if you focus too much on them. The ball gets spread out.

But as a stat show, the team kind of goes where bow Wanga goes and Bogush as well, So you know, if Christian does push up, it becomes three in the back for the Sounders. And we asked Schmtz, is that a center back to responsibility now to neutralize Buwanga, and he's he didn't really give us a clear answer. He was kind of like yes and no. You have to play the game the way we want to play

it. We can't just focus on one or two guys. So at the end of the day, you know, special guys make special plays and it's up to you on the day to try and neutralize it. And as a defender, it definitely strikes fear in your eyes. We saw when LAFC came down here last year and all it took was one. Like Lamar said earlier, we got lolled to sleep on possession. One bad pass, Danny Bowonga picks it up almost that half field, takes it down, smash the ball

in the back of the net and that's the game. So that's how good these guys are, and the Sounders are gonna have to be aware they haven't played against many players like this. In the lead up to this game. Yeah, it's I mean, it's a tough ask. Right at the end of all of this, they have a break after this, so you know, the messaging I'm sure is this is the last push. We give everything

we have and we've got a break after this. But you're right, if we knew the answer, we would be down on the field right now telling them how to do it. But I don't think anybody does. And so yeah, they just got to be on all game. They do come in four four and two on the road, fat is four wins, four losses and two draws, But last time they did lose on the road was May fourth Inas San Jose, so they've been pretty good away from home lately.

Is there any sort of element that they could be a matchup in the final and the US Open Cup as well, that Ryan Schmitzer is playing a little chess match here and possibly LAFC. No, I don't think so. I think it's purely about major whenever you're Yes, when you're in tournaments, are you thinking about them? Yes, But at the end of the day, these guys come into the stadium knowing that, you know, nothing really translates between Major League Soccer games and Open Cup. Maybe a little bit in the

semi finals, certainly the final. Yes, every every team fields their strongest lineup, so you're gonna see both. Both lineups to night are about as strong as they're gonna be. And so now not only will LAFC be adding Drew at some point to their to their lineup and roster as well to even bolster their attack more, but they've got Kai Kamara on the bench too. So I don't think there's too many chess pieces in tonight other than just get

the job done at home, we ash Ben. This is the barometer of where this team is at, this Sounders team, This is the ultimate test tonight you've played against teams that you should have beaten and you did the job. Now playing against a team that's in the top four for the first time in a long time, and if you get that result, you show that you're you deserve to be up there. Yeah, I mean this is a culmination of their run of form recently, right they there's no holding back for

this. This is you're putting everything out there. You're trying to find who your best eleven is, who would be going up against you know, the best teams come playoff time. This is where you want to test that. Seattle Sounders Sucker on Sports Radio ninety three point three kjr FM. Welcome back into the Sounders FC pre match show presented by Providence Swedish, the official healthcare partner of Sounders FC. Let's get to our Sounders FC players to watch the night in a huge match up against lafc here at Loomenfield. Brian, I'm gonna give you the honors for first dips Pedro de la Vega tonight he's back in the mix. You know, he got his feet wet earlier in the

week and now it's about his family's in town. That always gives you a little bit of a boos up right, you want to put on a good show. Yes, you're in a new city, but it's just it. I can't describe how it feels to have your family like come and watch you. Right, I'm not from here, so whenever they made the trip to

come up, I always knew that it was special for them. Once or twice a year, and so to come all the way from Argentina, I know it means a lot to the kid and it probably makes him hopefully feel a bit more settled and confidence. So Pedro's my guy to watch the night. I hope he has a great game. Omar, Yeah, just speaking of that way you think I always came back to Seattle Man playing out a family is great. My player to watch. Jordan Morris broken record. We've

talked about this. Mets are trying to figure out his top eleven. Jordan wants that position, right, even though we're always been doing good and scoring some goals, Jordan wants that. What other night, What are the better night to do it against LAFC. Like I said, like you said before, the culmination of this momentum that they have going, keep that going and

scoring. I'm gonna go with Albert Rousknak. I think it's gonna be a very key moment in the match, whatever happens in that center of the midfield because of how LAFC seems to line up and they're looking like a three four three, So you're gonna have numbers in the middle of the park. It's gonna be up to Albert and a little bit with JP and Obed as well to kind of make sure they can dominate that part of the field because I

think that's where the space is gonna be. So it's gonna be Albert Rousknack's job, and he's been a huge key to this turnaround for the Sounders lately too. Obviously Jordan's been hot, but I really like the way Albert's been playing to help kind of set things up as well and getting some finally getting the ball in the back of that. Sounders FC fans download the McDonald's app today with and when the Sounders win, you'll win a free McChicken the following

day with minimum two dollars purchase exclusively in the app. Now, boys, let's get to our keys of the match. Brad, what's your key to the match today? Yeah, I think it's just playing a good, solid

game. I'm trying to think if we've seen a full ninety minutes where the Sounders just look to absolutely dominate, and I think that they've done it a couple times against lesser opponents, teams that they should have beaten, and now it's about testing yourself against the best in the West, and the key tonight is to put the ball on the back of the net when you get the chance, because it gets an LAFC team, you're not gonna get that many

opportunities, especially with your East in net, Like that's a world class goalkeeper and so if you can prove yourself tonight at home, you kind of give yourself a pat on the back with this one. But I still want to see good possession based soccer. It's tough to play against a three four three because there are numbers and it's something that the Sounders aren't used to seeing.

So I'm interested to see how they adjust to a different formation. Yeah, I think I mean, obviously scoring goals right in order when you got to do that, but I think it kind of has to be multiple goals tonight from the Sounders because they always have that opportunity. They're always going to get a couple. There's always going to be a momentum swing and they're creative up top. So you got to put a fuel away. You got to put

the ball on the back of the net when you get the opportunity. There can't be those chances that you're you know, you miss and then later on you're thinking about no you gotta knock those in. Let's take a look at the history between these two teams. Obviously, they've met a couple of times in the playoffs. Seattle has a three eight and four record against LAFC in

the MLS regular season. The Sounders eliminated LFC from the playoffs in twenty nineteen and twenty twenty, but LAFC eliminated Seattle last season, so they have kind of had the last blood in terms of the postseason battles. Fellas, I'm gonna pose this question to you, is this a rivalry? Obviously it's not gonna get to the point of the Portland and possibly Vancouver, But I'd argue this is one of the top other teams that you mark on the calendar every

time that the schedule comes out. I mean, three and eight Wolf, that's a tough record. I'm not sure the Sounders have a losing record quite like that with any other team, even the LA Galaxy. Right right, it's a new It's not really a rivalry per se. I think it's just two really good teams playing against each other. And someone asked me that when I went to Kansas City, why would you go to a rival and it's like Kansas City is not a rival, it's just a really good team that

we happen to both be very very good. I think that's the case here. I'm not sure it's a rivalry, but it's a case of two clubs, two organizations that want to do everything top class, and the fans come out for both, and when you win, it becomes a little bit something special. Like you said, you're gonna mark that one on your calendar because you know it's going to be a good battle. You won't see LAFC with a losing season. I can guarantee you that they're always going to be at

the top with the way that they run that organization. So just a good opponent, but three and eight you got to somehow write that ship. You don't want to be playing catch up for the next ten years against an LAFC team and have them hold that above you. It's not a good look either for you to think it's a rival and the other team not to if they've

been winning. I think it's the same thing. I think the only rivals for me are Vancouver and Portland. I mean, even when we were playing La Galaxy, that was the one that you marked on the calendar, but that was because recently we had both been in great runs of form when we were going at each other. This is the same thing, right, two

top clubs for the last few years going at each other. When you do happen to meet in the playoffs, because you've been at that top level for so long, We've seen that in other sports as well, it turns into a rivalry. So you're saying it hasn't at this point. No, it turns into a heated battle. Yes, but it's not a rivalry as yet. It'll be six, seven, eight years. If we find ourselves in the Western Conference finals for the next you know, six out of the next

eight years, I could see maybe something forming there. But they'll always have the galaxy that is bar none the rival right, and they might have a San Jose. But I think that really is akin to regional rivalries. But yeah, I mean that's a great point. I think it's just two successful teams. And again, if we find ourselves in multiple finals together in the Western Conference, you could possibly see it. You're gonna see the best and worst out of both these teams in big games. And you've seen it in

the past when we knocked them out and they knocked us out. They were always very close games. No one's blowing anyone away, so it's always going to be a tight contest. Yeah, I think you need a few generations before you call it arrival, right. There needs to be a few iterations of the teams that are going at it, and there needs to be some drama there. Yeah, it's definitely filling up here in Loomenfield as we count down to kickoff, presented by Emerald Queen Casino, I'm gonna pose this one

more question. Are we looking like more of an attacking, high scoring game tonight or do you think it's going to be a defensive battle. No, I think it'll be an attacking, high scoring game. I hope, I hope that's my thought and wish. Yes, but again, they're very good offensively, we are very good defensively. I think they've been leaking more goals than we have and our firepower has now just started to get hot. So yes, it's all set up to be a fantastic game. I mean,

you got twelveman over here. They brought the big guns out for Apple TV, and this is a big one that everyone wants to watch in MLS. You want to watch good games with good opponents, and you hope to see goals for us. Obviously, we want another shutout for step so that he can climb officially hold that second spot for shutouts in MLS. But this has every every making that could be. You know, two to two or three to three. LFC two and Defiance play here at twelve o'clock today and it

was four to four at the end of the day. Souls. Maybe that's something written in the stars tonight. How many goals gets it down? Lamar, I'm hoping to. I mean, I like the idea, and I love the idea of you know, a lot of goals for everybody, but realistically, we got to keep those guys not scoring goals and hopefully we can get too and control the game. Awesome, all right, Well, come

back on the other side and close out our pregame show. You're listening to the Sounders FC pre match show presented by a Providence, Swedish on Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFM tonight from the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumenfield, your Seattle Sounders FC face LAFC Scarves up flavor fans. Sounders Match Day is

presented by Sparkly Nice Officials. Sparkling refreshment of Sounders FC. Sounders FC Sucker is brought to you by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of Seattle Sounders FC. Regent's Dream Team is presented by Regent's BlueShield, proud partner of Sounders FC. Now time for Sounders FC Sucker. Well, good evening from Sonny, Seattle, Washington, where tonight your Sounders, winners of their last six games, face off against LAFC in what very well may be the match of the

year so far. My name is Jackson Felts, filling in for Danny Jackson, and I'm alongside Sounders legend Steve Zachwani. We're coming to you live from Luomenfield, where kickoff is just seconds away. So before we get to kick off, let's take a look at the delta starting eleven four year Seattle Sounders.

Stephen Fry in goal of this four two three one, Christian rolled on you're right back today, knew who you're left back, Jackson Reagan, Yamar Gomez Andrada year center backs oh Ben Vargas, Jual Paulo will be your holding midfielders. Read Baker Whiting your left winger today, Albert Rusnak in the middle, with Piedro Da la Vegas starting as your right winger, and Jordan Morris up top Steve. This is a big one because LAFC right now they're second

place in the Western Conference, two points back at first. They also have two games in hand, so points per game wise, this is the top team in the Western Conference. Sounders all the way up to sixth place with six straight wins, unbeaten in eight. This is the game that we've all been waiting for to really show how good the Seattle Sounders are right now. Yeah, it is, I think from the players to the fins, both coach and stuff. It's a game that everyone's excited about because you really it's

a measuring stick. You know, if you want to be the best team in the West and have ambitions of winning a trophy end of the season, you've both go through the best teams, and right now LAFC for a long time, actually have you one of those teams. And so I think the sound is obviously in great fulm coming up a fantastic winning midweek, but this really is the challenge before you go into Leeds cup break. They see exactly where we stand. It doesn't get much bigger than LFC now, it does

not. And listen, before we get to kick off, we have to talk a little bit about what LAFC is doing. Major injuries on Wednesday for LAFC winger Tamothy Tellman knee injury. He's out for today and olt for maybe the foreseeable future. Also Christian Olivera, he is a winger. He is out after an injury on Wednesday to his foot. They also don't have Olivia Asier Route yet that they're adding in the transfer window, so Steve, they

have shifted this entire formation. Steve Truuler, head coach, changing a lot of what he normally does for tonight's match. Yeah, I think it's a team that is very comfortable without the bone. So they'll see a lot of positions in the Sounders. It's free at the back at times, a look black five in the pensis. You look at it, but make no mistake because we saw in the playoffs last year this team is very, very dangerous on the council attack and that's what they'll try to do today. They'll sit

back and the moment they win the ball in transition. That's what the best Seattle Seahawks legend Cam Chancellor doing scarves up to what is a very full stadium, nearly full lower ball here and then it completely packed area over to our

left here in what is the Hawk's nest. This is a heck of an atmosphere tonight as the sun sets on a three hundred level on the eastern side of lumen Field Emerald Queen Casino Pitch here at Luhman playing host to what might be the match of the week here in Major League Soccer, there's a lot of really good ones. We'll keep our eyes on what's going on around MLS Colorado. We all saw Lake that effects where the Sounders could end up tonight.

Also Vancouver playing Houston that could affect where the Sounders end up tonight. We'll keep our eye on everything going on around Major League Soccer VI of the Sounders. By the end of the night, we could be as high as fourth place right now. And that, man, if you were to tell us that a few weeks ago, that would be a quite a revelation that the Sounders could be right now entering fourth place come the start of League's Cup.

Because this is also the final MLS game before League's Cup starts on Friday. Sounders will open it up against Minnesota. But tonight it's MLS action and we are kicked off here at Womenfield. LAFC with control along their back line. It will be a back three tonight, usually a back four LAFC typically, and they've played it for years, a four to three to three attacking

brand of soccer. Tonight it's a three four three and that's going to be a big discussion point Steve that we talk about through the night as if all goes out here and LAFC will have a throw and got ten yards from the end line, how LAFC work with a back three as opposed to a back four, a little bit more of a clock midfield. It'll be an interesting dynamic tonight. Yeah, I think nothing changed with how they attack, because you know the team that is used to attacking with three. I think it's

more defensively, how tack can that back three stay? And when they do let the Sounders have possession, it will look more maybe they have a back five. They'll really talk the wing backs in a little bit more. But for the Sounders it's a question of moving those center backs around. You want to force the lacks of Aaron rodg into wide positions areas what they're not comfortable going into. I think you should expect a lot more of the ball today

than LFC for the Sounders and then just be kept transition. Well, here is the transition roofstack Now outdid the left side pered Baker Whiting widing looking to go at him and he is stood up there as the ball pops back out and New who has to head it out? But it comes off of an l AMC head and that will be out for a Sounders throw and it's Sergey Palencia on the right side. He's gonna be playing more of a right wing

back position, typically a right back. On the left side, Omar Compost typically a left back, playing more of a left wing back option on this three four three, This hybrid that we're gonna kind of really see evolve throughout this game. And New who has posed the ball along the back line and uses Jackson Reagan who is alongside Yamar Gomez on Rada today. Gomez Andrade back

in the lineup after sitting on Wednesday. Threw ball from Gomez. Androdi gets to Pedro de la Vega the Ovega's brought down no foul call the LAFC in transition. But new who stops that in right where he is and the Sounders have the ball back is he just is the baker whiting and then back to Jackson along the back line and out to the right side for Christian Roldan,

who is at his right back spot. Today. We've seen it more steve throughout this year where Christian Roldan has been that Swiss army knife that Brian Schmitzer has been able to use at a bunch of different spots. Today once again at right back. Yeah, and you know, and right now he's beating out his brother for that position. I think what branch Messa likes a lot is when Christian Rodond plays that right back plays it very different he to his

brother Alex. And he likes to tuck inside into midfield and give the Sounds an extra non bay midfield obviously very good in possession, gives you a numerica, a vauntage centrally. So I think Christian has a good job defensively, of course, but he likes to attack from the inside. Robinin O Blacker on the right hand side. So we'll see today though, how his chemistry is de la Vega we haven't really seen on the right hand side's seen on

the left. We've seen centrally, Bob's I think quality pleas cans plays together the Sounders while have a thrown here is a misplay by LAFC, a little bit of miscommunication there, and that's kind of one of those things where normally they're playing with four at the back, two center backs. There's three today and we used to do a little bit of miscommunication here. Three this into

the match. No score if you're just joining us here. At Lumenfield Seattle Sounders sixth place in the Western Conference, l EFC at second place in the Western Conference. With a win today, LAFC could rise to the top. With the wind, Sounders could rise up theoretically as far as fourth place. As Nude tries to hit it down the side and get some space but does not worked out and it will go out for an LAFC throw right next to the corner post. A referee today, Alan Chapman Steve Allen Chapman, a

guy who of course refed here. At MLS Cup twenty nineteen, Sounders went over Toronto. One of the best officials over the ten years, Peter de la Vega tries to chest the ball down and he gets back to LFC. But Chapman over his career has been known as one of the best in this league. And he gets touted in this big, big match here in the Western Conference tonight. Yeah he is if it's a very He's one of those refs you can talk too, and he understands you can have a conversation with

him. I love time to Dany's decision, has a really good feelfooted game, and I love Breferez that kind of couldn't let the players decide the game, don't get too involved, but also he commands the respect to the players. You know, nut step out of line. So I've always enjoyed playing when he was refitting and as a vote coast as well covering him having he's one of the guys does a really good job with a long ball that will go out for a goalkick and that will be taken by Hugo Lauris a Tottenham

Hotspur legend for the last twelve years he was with Tottenham. Joined LAFC this year. A tremendous goalkeeper. It was about one hundred and forty five appearances for the French national team World Cups. Of course he AFA Champions League. He's actually if the most appearance is by any goalkeeper ever in Champions League is LFC. It's like it was a bout, but they're in transition working with Bolonga bolongas looks two defenders got down in the box. No call cleared away

and the Sounders are breathing easy. But that was a dangerous moment there as Bolonga fell down inside the box. Seed yeah. By saying Adam Chapman's miss two, there was a fouling midfoot on John Polo. Absolutely it was he had that go and then he could have quoted I find a bowongo, which I think was a foul. So we'll can see a little quick refail. Hey, Joe Pottle's absolutely foul. Oh yeah, NFC keep going and I think bango also from behind. Ye, well that's a questionable one. Then

maybe no, that's click of a foul. Buff that's a sign. And Chapman love stuff go and I love the you know, I mean we've always said about officiating, just be consistent, right, yeah, beacons. If you're gonna let one thing go, what happen. Go, here's Rebeck and Wade and finding his space on the left side, crossing the ball in. That'll be clear away and JP will control after the clearance as though eventually gets

to Christian Rodan. But a foul is call and Albert Rusnak as the ball went to Roosnak's feed and I think it was Eli A. Sanchez, the physical defensive midfielder for LAFC, just came onto Roosnac's back and knocked him over. That is a clear foul there. But you know, again consistency right where Chapman's gonna let some things go and if he lets one, then he lets the other. But that was a clear foul. Good on the call, Yeah it is, and I think it's it's in a very good area

for the Saladers. We voked to Bruni Schmiths yesterday. He told us that they've been very happy with Albert Russknack's service into the books as of late. This is more from a central position, so it depends where the players these team is slacked to line up. You know, I see Jackson Reagan on one side, ye, Mon Dievo guessing, but music go to service him. Bruce snack over it. He has a lot of options here spread across

the eighteen. Raising his left hand, there comes the ball. He's going to the right post, headed by Gomez on Johnny and that will be far left of the goal, out for a goalkate for Hugo Larise there. But you're right, see, I mean set pieces. Schmenzer was telling us, you know, it's it's been a point of emphasis the entire year. But the difference is what we've seen from Albert Rusnak here over recent weeks. I mean, you look at him right now and it's just it's mind boggling.

Eleven goal contributions, four goals, seven assists in his last ten games. He had, of course, the assistant the Saint Louis win on Wednesday, the too nothing win where he sends it in and Jonathan Bell heads it home, and he right now is just on a heater. And if you see the lineup there was five guys along the line of the eighteen. There's certainly options for Albert to continue his hot streak tonight. Yeah, and I think he's been you know, maybe only Jordan Morris has been that. He has

been in davision. He's took in recent weeks and so that combination that one of two punch has been absolutely outstanding. But al Bets really made that number ten road he's own. I think coming into it to field his shoes with Nikodero is not easy, but he's done it in his own way. Upous he does some quantity, and in recent weeks it's time to being pettistat sheet as well. Sounders are gonna have a throw in about ten yards from the

corner stick on the southeast side of the stadium. Christian Rodan sending along trying to find Jordan Morris to Pedro de la Vega. But LAFC interrupt that and you'll go all the way back as we will see an LAFC attacking line that includes Denny Bowanga l his LAFC are in all black tonight Sounders in their legacy green tops and awkward shorts and white socks. The LFC line is this will be a ball taken away from new Who to jul Polo JP sending a long

ball down the left for Reedbaker White and can he get to it? He cannot, and that will end up being sent back to Hugo Lorez as he sends it long to the left again in LAFC back in transition, it's a four on three run ball in behind Stephen Fry coming out of his line and he will grab that one right in front of Denny Bowonga and the Sounders now coming back. There's a lot of space in this midfield, Steve. We are seeing it a little bit back and forth here early in this one.

It's a very open game for the Sounders. You want to get a bit more control, you know, albut Russ Knight, Joe Poto, these are guys can dictate the tenth off the game. You want to see a bit more of that as long as this transition on very beat to back. That really suits the LFC player. You seen Bowanga on a couple occasions already showing his threat to get in behind. So good off the boarding transition, I think for the Sounders a transition games okay, but a bit more punk joy

into midfield because LFC came in to play back and forth game. It whoa LAFC with possession here following a Sounders giveaway, Elia Sanchez with the ball half win his own area, sends it off to the right side for Palencia Valencian out of the rights. It's Nathan Ordaz, number twenty seven for LAFC. He's a twenty year old four from Encino, California. This is his only

fourth start of his career, second start of this season. It's a guy who only has four shots this entire season and he's starting for LAFC tonight. As they work with Ordas on the right and JP will cut in front of that one in course an LFC throwing about five yards from the corner stick here on the near end. This is a LFC attack. It's Ordas, it's bow Woga, it's Patouche bagooche As. A offside will be given here for LAFC, and a goal or a kick from Stephen Fry here from his own

end. But it's it's such an interesting attacking unit seed where you have, you know, you look at the stats, twelve goals for Bagoosh to LAFC, fourteen goals for Bowanga and then he had the young twenty year old who has one goal to his name that he had in what two games ago for LAFC Sandwich right in between him. It's definitely an interesting mix of a tremendous

attacking veteran talent and then this young kid. Yeah, it's a big vote confidence from he's coach from Torontoo and I think to even be in that attack. And then you have some quoits about he's obviously an unknown puntive seat the fren is Bana. He's a guy who not the sound is out of the playoffs last ye ended U season. He's a big Fred. But I think anyone that Cherundo puts on his team at the moment, I can keep Kai

Kamaro on the bench just to have something about them. That's the other thing too, is to note that they're big Kai Kamara they're signing from earlier this year, who's number two in MLS history in goals. I mean, the guy is four hundred and thirty five matches, one hundred and forty seven goals, and he is the man that can be brought out the bench in the second half. So obviously that will be something to monitor. But hey, the Sounders also have for roller red as they can bring off their benches.

Of all goes in no bed Vargas playing Peter de le Vega day, la Vega tries to play Morris, but seems like there might have been a little miscommunication there as Morris didn't make the run of his right, made the run straight and the ball ends up in the hands of Hugo Lorries and that's a warning sign of what de la Vega can do. That's really really well.

Picked the board up on the inside right China Indiet. He tries, he gets from Christian o'lonni tries to play the little fruit board for Jordan morrisso's really really tight. LFC defended well in the end, but I think that's what you can send for. Vega starts on the right hand side and will come inside when you kind of Here's LAFC right back on the left side looking for a man to cross at two, working inside the box on Yemar. Cross

comes in on the JP. Bob's bouncing around, Bob still bouncing around. Fry's under it. Did that ball cross? I don't believe it did. I think that ball staying out. Here's Alan Chapman pointing back and forth. I think this is gonna end up being a foul. I think he's called a penalty. I think he's called penalty for LFC. I'm pretty sure he's put a handboard for LEFC to see what happens here. Yep. This was a mess in front of goal. Three bodies on step and Fry. May

have even been five when it was all said and done. Lots of pushing and shoving as the ball was just bouncing around right on the line. Looked like it might have crossed it for a second as Alan Chapman is holding to the earpiece trying to gets him added info. As we see the replay, Steve, what do you see here? So he did caught a penalty. We're obviously gonna get chance to look at it here. It was chaotic,

It squeezed under Stephan's Fry. The board does not cross the line. I think it's on new whow who froze his body to cover the board and they want to say that it hit his arm at some point. He's the best chance for s going to replay here, Oh yep, and it's Stephen Fried. I think he hits it into Newho's and as he's yep, Stephen Fry hits the board. New Who's going down to the ground. He does it, he's armed by the letter of the Lord's a penalty, but that's extremely

harsh. That's a crazy situation. He has to land and he can't controlled it. I think he has to len And as he's landing, Stephen Fry happens to save the ball from the goal line and it hits new whose hand not bull to hand? No, not hand to ball, definitely bolt to hand. It's a big, big corde back Chapman by the lefts of the law. Is it hands bull? Yes, but my question is what knoo? Who do he has to He's usually his hands to brace himself. Stephen

Fry hasten into him tenerally decisions. Oh, the ball is in the hands of Denny Bowonga's Stephen Fry is standing right next to the spot. Seems like Alan Chapman still has his left hand to his ear, trying to figure out they're gonna take a second look at this. Let's just let's just wait a

moment here, as Chaman is separating himself from the players. Yeah, yeah, and he will go to var so this will get checked again as they see and it's it's such a unique circumstance where there's so many bodies and you wondered if if there wasn't a foul somewhere in this before Fry swats the ball and the knew whose arm just a a chaotic situation right in front of the goal. I'm not sure what New's supposed to do. I mean it's a humbold. I mean, that's the one thing he's but he's enough. Do

you look at that new who's almost being pushed down here? Yeah, that's the thing we see. And I want to say, that's Ordaz who's pushing new who down to the ground, and that forces him down. That Fry eventually swats the ball into Yes fry, it's step in front who says the bullet from going into the gold and it happens to coin siderlu who going down as well. Now an issue hit is it's no longer is it humbold?

Is it clear obvious what's going on right now? So it? Chapman's at the replay monitor, Ilier Sanchez and about three sounders are all right behind him yelling right now. Knew Who is a little bit enraged. He was throwing his hands up as Alan Chapman walking out here. Let's see what he calls after you. The penalty stands for a handball letter of a lie, I suppose, but an absolute cachaotic situation there as New he's saying exactly what you're

saying, Steam, What am I supposed to do? I'm falling to the ground, may have even gotten pushed to the ground. And what am I supposed to do? He has to brace himself And that's all I can say. And it is Stephen Fry who hits the ball, saves the ball, and it hits New who's had and he's bracing himself, Chapman. And maybe it's not enough of a clan obvious era, which is a criteria for the video review to be overton, for the fount to be overton. But wat

chunks for the LFC. What's the chunks? Man? That's that is very hard to swallow if you are a Sounder fan. But Denny Bolonga sets the ball on the spot, is standing at the edge of the eighteen Fry hands raised Bowlonga steps forward, hits it and it's into the back of the nex Denny Bolonga and then he sends the ball into the crowd as he has given LAFC a one to nothing lead here in the sixteenth minute at Emerald Queen Casino pitch at Lumen Field. Very hard to swallow if you are a Sounder fan.

That penalty and New still angry with Alan Chapman and Jaymar Gomez andrade Alan Chapman's face as well. Just and Brian Schmitz are clearly asking Rafe reeplay the official next to him as well. What is supposed to happen there is we see the replay again and it just I don't know, very hooch but uh as sound as you go out to any emotion now, but you can't overreact to it. It's a very good penalty by Buwenga. Get Stephan Fried, no chunks whatsoever. You have a long way to go in this game for

the Sounders. You kind of feel sorry for yourself. You go out, keep going and see it's gonna for response in the next five miniso. Sofa, Well, that's Denny Bowonga's fifteenth goal of the year. He's headed to the twenty twenty four All Star Game along with their goalkeeper Hugo Loise and that nice penalty will give LFC the lead here early at lumen Field against the Sounders, winners of their last six game. And listen to Steve so many of

those six games. Is LFC work here on the right side with Bogoosh against redback you're widing so many of these Sounder wins over this stretch have been comebacks. Houston, the two to two, Chicago, New England. So many of these games, not New England, but so many of these games have been comebacks. Being down one nothing is nothing new to the Seattle Sounders. So listen, you have the whole game ahead of you, right yeah,

the sun. You won't be any any fear from the Sounders right now, any panic as a team that has shown in recent weeks the ability to be behind and find a way to at least soundly to draw if the old three points now the calib of opponents a little bit high up. The LFC have shown in this opening segment their quantity. Why do y'all wait to y'all, but it's a long way to go here, Lots of quantity of official of Sounders as well. We're in for a game long ball in here. On

the right Bagooge one on one against Jackson Reagan. Man falls down in the midfield. Bagooh, he's still working a inst raggon. He'll have to retreat back out, finds a man in the midfield to testaestace and his shot will go about five yards wide of goal. As Stephan Priye will have a goal kick here in the nineteenth minute. LAFC up won nothing on a penalty just a few minutes ago from Denny Bawanga. Stephan Prye will perhaps look the player

out of the back. The other discussion point about this game was how high is LAFC going to press Steve, Because it's a team in the pass of LAFC. You go back five years, it was a team that press, pressed and pressed some more and just wouldn't stop, and they were all out attack, all out press. They've certainly backed off a little bit of that. It's a little bit more of a possession based team. But we are seeing the press back on right now. Yeah, And I think that's exactly

why he's kept the free up top. You know, when you go to five in the back, freeedo, back, whichever you want to call it, sometimes you could maybe even sacrifice on a tecond pieces fall. He's kept all three guys high and how rested the sound is hit because they know if they can win the bulld up Hie, then they could really get out and apply a lot press to the soundness if they allowed the Sounders to get comfortable to let John Paulo let Rusnaxtant to kick the game. Then it swings in

the sound As Fay book. So right now it is the game plan from LFC to's gone to plan because a transition game suits that group of players so well. Rather a more possession based, slow tempole methodical game is in a suit the rave green and we haven't seen that so far. Now we're now in the twenty month minute here at Edmond Quing Casino Pitch at Lumenfield, Sounders

Nothing LAFC one. The score update is presented by Sparkling Ice as a Sounder's working possession in LAFC side of the field, Vargas over on the right side, Jordan Morris run finds some help in the middle to Juel Polo, slips the ball in, can't get it to Pedro dal la Vega and a foul

will be called on Obed vargas As. This will end up with an LAFC free kick and Sander's FC matchday is presented by Sparkling Ice official Sparkling refreshment of Sounders FC full flavor, zero sugar, anything but subtle as LAFC is goalkeeper Hugo larisse Loo's like a nice slow walk to this one. And it's for an LAFC team that has so much off defensive fire power, and you know the way that stylistically they play. It's hard to see them now being up

one nothing and parking the bus. They're they're they're not gonna do anything like that. No, it's not in the DNA. And you have no you have a few guys in a pitch you don't add to defend. They're a team that wants to get out pretty much hold out at Tech. It's relentless. It's every chance to get the driving forward, driving forward. And we don't used to always seeing that here when teams come to play at Newmanfield and we don't sit back, pick and choose that moments, not n AFC.

And as we see now, they want himself a corner kick kid just by being relentless in the attack. I knew who he thought it was gonna be out for a goal kick, but Goosh worked hard and earned himself that corner. As it will be Asusta heading to the corner here, where is that Omar compos Omar Compos is actually gonna be all the way out. He's their left wing back today. And he has come all the way over for this corner here and he sends it in the ensuing ed it away by Jackson Reagan.

It gets out to Peter de la Vega, de Vega galloping, but as poor Elliott see guys around him canny find space, he cannot as it's taken away eventually by at Tusta. That was a tall task for Pedro dal le Vega to try to get that one. Is a long ball here will

be taken by new guide. This ball out some work there from a Nathan ord as the LAFC four to try to get to that one, but it will be ushered out for a goalkick that Stephan Frice sends onward to Gomez Andrade out to the left side for Baker Whiting back to New who This is JP in the middle JP with o Beek Sounders looking for some space in this lat against this LAFC three four to three. Today is head coach Steve Trudalone has changed his lineup due to two major injuries. In Wednesday's game, It's an

LAFC team. Is a long volley from Jackson Reagan trying to find Reid Baker Whiting that is headed away from Valencia, captured by Rusnak. Back to reed Re tries to back heal it, but Rusnak did not make the run and it will end up at the foot of Hugo Lars. Yeah, LAFC, it's interesting. A week ago they hosted Columbus Crew and they got just wiped off the field five to one. It wasn't even close, much worse than

it was MLS Cup last year. Crew just dominated him. Midweek, they hosted RSL, played to a one to one game as Pedro de la Vega is foul but no call. Sounders have possession on the right side with Gomez Andrade to JP Joel Paulo, back to Gomez Andrade. We go back to LAFC. The one one draw they had against RSL at home on Wednesday,

a little bit even lucky to get a point in that one. Their goal came in the first few minutes of that match, and it came on a terrible mistake by RSL keeper Zach McMath who tried to clear a ball and it came off the side of his foot. And it was the man who then eventually got injured, Christian Olavera, who scored an open net goal That was lafc's lone goal of the night and they came away with that one to one draw and he was injured, as was Timothy Tillman. Matt Force's big changes

tonight from the visitors. Who leads Sounders one nothing here in the twenty fourth minute at Emerald Quing Casino pitch at Lumen Field as the Sounders whole possession now dyea Vega on the right trying to loop a ball into roofsnack headed back, you gonna wind up at the foot of Christian Rodan the dual polo in the middle to day le Vega running on long shot is just wide left. Bat'll be out for a goalkick LAFC. We're calling for a handball, but it

ends up with the ball at Hugo Reese's foot seat. Yeah, and I think that one the sound has maybe got a bit lucky day. It looks like that vegas first touched, the more bounces up, hits He's hand a little bit, keeps going. Guess a good connection on the strike, but it was always going wide as why does who going to reas made it seem a look closer than it seemed there, but not quite hating to target, but much better from the Sounders who've not seen too much from it. A

final first so far, Shadman's letting him play. As Sounders get it back. Jackson Reagan steps in front and is able to get a ball on that goalkick from Larisse as Gomez Androte uses Christian on the rights, doms Andrade again over to Jackson on the left side, working his way into lfc's half. Woops the ball and new who and who looking for some space, closed down quickly by Bagoose here on the left side of the field. That's day la Vega here on the right, tries to slit the ball in Obed Vargas.

Can he get to it? He can, but just trying to keep possession, You'll slide and knock that ball to Eugo Lorese as lafc's goalkeeper will pick the ball up well. Sounders e SC Soccer is presented by Providence, Swedish

official health care partners of Sounders FC. Twenty five minutes into this match here at Lumenfield as the sun sets here in Seattle, l EFC with an early lead on your Sounders Steve Jackawanney Jackson felt here Sports Radio ninety three point three kJ r f M as LAFC worked on the left side of a foul is called that time by Chapman. Christian rolled on, arguing that it wasn't but stee that was an arm out stretch that just kind of knocked out. Looked

like Edward Atuesta. Yeah, it's a fount. Christian knows in a litt bit frustration to have the last five minutes having bet from a sound is much much better in terms of keeping the board a bit more getting to the vague, going to the board, trying to make this happen in the final food both close to thresh still amazing transit from a NFC and right now from a

set piece as well. Because they are moving all their center backs forward, only Sergei Palencia Omar Compost will be back as all three of their center backs are up. Here comes the end swinger Ryan. He's able to get that ball away. Long shot is into the back of the next Oh, it's a good goose for LAFC from distance. They were able to send that free kick, but it came right back to the foot of Teyoush. But goosh. LAFC is twenty two year old Polish attacking forward and for him it's his

thirteenth goal of the year. Steve to give LAFC a two nothing lead here in the twenty seven Yeah, and it's a great finish. It really, really is a great finish from the edge of the box. The Sounders don't quite do enough Indiland with the initial board it comes in. It's a good set piece. Lots of buddies in the way. Of course, he'll be

checks if there's a potential offside here. I just headed back, but from Stephen Fry's fist to he's what I mean to his right foot Den but goosh, I mean it's a fantastic, fantastic volley there, great technique that is not easy to put off. Finds the corner of the net. Sounders have no chunks now of a long, long way back to nothing LAFC lead. Some goose rained down about Chapman not letting the Sounders start quickly. Seattle finds

himself in an O two hole. They were in an O two hole against the Houston Dynamoll on the road towards the start of this great eight match Unbeaten Street last month. Because the Sounders will need to pull off another great one and here's LFC in transition. Again. It's hard as setting it out to the left side for Bowonga. He has runners with composts. Bowonga two composts,

crossing the ball into the back post. Nobody's there. Eventually it ends up right in between knew who and the runner Palencia and it will be out for a goalkick. Is it finally bounced off Palency in the very end. But if the Sounders are going to get forward and they're trying and gonna try getting it back in this game here in the second half of this first half,

that's gonna open up a lot of space that we just saw. Steve like LAFC just gone, yeah, that's the bennet you got to say if the sound is not I mean one change of mate just now is the switch off size de la Vegas come to left tons side? Read backaway's done to the right hand side. But for the Sounders you got and do morecause right now lfc's beaten by far. The team dere head is disserved the penalty again, I think it's a very host decision. But LEFC, every time they

attack they've looked dangerous. If it sounds you just gotta figure out the way to best match up against what lafc's doing. I still think the best route of it is to not make it a transition game that just suits this LFC team way too much. If it a Sounders mixed that up with a lot more possession of control which you just had haven't had, haven't got JP Russ Knack and maybe even de la Vega on the board anywhere near as much as you'd have liked to. And we're kind of seeing the way LAFC is shifting

right now. We see definitely a ship from the three fourth three that almost looks like Palencia is falling a little bit further back, and then you see Composts right there. I mean, the problem with Steve is as if all comes off to the left side, Peter de Levega trying to run after it and he will get the sound of possession. Dale Vega tries to get on

top of the back, but he can't eventually get to that one. Is Peter d Levega right now trying to do absolutely everything he possibly can for the Sounders on the offensive end here in the twenty ninth minutes that this will be a foul and it will be a free kick in their own end for LAFC.

But you know, the problems keep going back to it is the fact that LAFC with a three that can turn into a five if the Sounders are looking to build that possession and looking to kind of find those areas and find those channels to slip balls in and get back in this game down to nothing, that back five is gonna be hard to do it against. Yeah,

it will be. And this is why you have to really be patient, because the only way to really break down a nice strong block like that is to shift the board side to side, wait for the little gaps to appear, and then you get the little runs from Jordan Morris, from de la Vega from read bakaway in. But you gotta be patient and possession first. If they're set in defamation, it's gonna be very hard to break them down

unless you make three full five passes first. The longer takes this ball away and he's working on the left side, working with composts and now odd two West are getting involved. Odds West to slips the ball into hard as but comes off his foot and that will go out for a goal kick. As Stephen pryly looks to work fast Sounders in a hurry. Here in the thirtieth

minute, it's Sounders zero LAFC two. Here at eight Emeralds Pan Casino pitch at Lumen field as Joal Paulo works to Pedro de la Vega, who is shifting all over the field and it's almost a little bit of shades of Nico Ladero right Steve. Yeah, we've seen Pedro played on the right. He's gone all the way to the left. We saw him a little bit more in the middle as Sounders working on for the right side. Here here's Reed can recross it in. It comes off an LAFC foot, but LAFC will

control. They can't clear. It's O big Vargas. Vargas into the box and that is cleared away. Nice play there by the center back Massim Chaneau, the French center back, is able to clear that one out for a Sounder's FC throw. Here in the thirty first minute, Alan Chapman holding up play for a moment. The throw now comes in with Christian over to Yamar in that right channel, trying to find somebody in there, but it ends up being out for a goal kick as they were trying to find Obed Vargas

there in behind, but no space. As Elif sees, three center backs are doing a good job here early in this match to shut down Seattle's offense. A long ball by Hugo Laarise, a uncharacteristic long long ball, and that will be headed out for a Sounders throwing at Jackson Reagan. We'll have the ball at his foot now now to Obed and Gomez Androti as Belonga is pressuring the Sounders back line, and here comes Ordez LAFC with the press not

giving Sounders too much space to work with even in their own end. As the ball slips through Gomez Androtti and he has just sending this all the way back to Stephan Fry Fry out to Obed. Sounders playing with a little bit of fire here in the thirty second minutes. Now here's Obed, But can they break this prest can they get out from it? Jo al Polo now

with some space into the middle of the park. Now LAFC come out and with pagoush off to his left side for Jackson Pedro back to JP now getting into l Afs with Rusnak, Rusnak trying to find Morris and he's still the ball in He does find Morris, Morris back out to dual polo from distance. That shot is bought away. It's should know the French center back for

LFC, who sends it right back. Sanders still in possession. Christian on the right with Joel Polo now read the Sounders will reset in this possession, Steve that we just talked about, Yeah, but it's exactly what we want to see as it's extended possession. It's multiple attacks. Lose the board, win it right back, keep the board shift and left to right, wait for gaps to open up. Be patient, but not too patient. And I fin that's exactly what we want to see from the Sounders and we'll go

on to see it. Now. Force LFC back, force them back and if LFC wind the ball here where they are deep in their own half, it's a long way for them to boys in transition. It's when they win the ball up high that they are very dangerous. So for the sound is the best belt so far in the game. Five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten to fifteen past sequence here left to right. Just

be careful. When the Bollys lost, LFC will get the other way and may be up to twenty right now, Sounders right now at sixty eight percent possession as we are seeing them just trying to find some sort of channel. As a ball is slipped into Christian Rolldan and he is knocked down by lafc's center back, Aaron Long, former member of the Shattle Sounders many many years ago twenty fourteen, twenty fifteen. He actually made twenty seven appearances for Sounders

FC two back in twenty fifteen. Now here he is now the second year with LAFC Sounders in possession on the right side. We'd bake your whiting working. Here's Christian Roldan crossing it in, comes off in lac boots now will end up with a Sounders corner here in the thirty fourth minute. Yeah, and it's the best bet of the game from the sound is what you generating challences. So you do want to find the way to generate chalances if you

call it, if you want to play maybe if you cent pieces. As Albert Rusnak prepares to take this one, Jackson Reagan, Yemar Gooms Andrade possessioning themselves in the box, Big Bob, he's with the Sounders Bruce Snack. He's been so good on set pieces here recently. Can you get the sounders back in it? Here? Holswit sent in headed away from Aaron Long ends up with the foot of Drought follow He will send that one into the stands. A long kick there from JP not on target, and it's a goalkick

for huge Larisse Well. This copyrighted audio cast on Major League Soccer may not be retransmitted to reproduce or rebroadcast without the express range con sense of Major League Soccer because Laurie will have the ball in his arm in absolutely no rush to take this one. As Alan Chapman now wishes him to get going here he goes LAFC wrong ball here, trying to send him to their front line, will end up at the head of Jackson Reagan. Now the foot of Jackson

Ragon. Back to Stephan Fry. Fry looking at this LAFC press trying to work it, tries to send a ball to Christian Rodon, but it's taken away from LAFC and now to Belonga who shifted over to the right side. Bolonga will trying to find some space. We'll send it out on the left for compos they'll use aut to west to behind him. LAFC now working in possession. Sounders now with Jordan Morris running after it as the ball goes back

into their own end. Ball into the Sounders end. Now try to get it toward as but nothing doing and the Sounders take that ball away from Androte Jackson Reagan stepping in front, and this ball comes out to new Who on the left side. New galloping downfield trying to find de la Vega, but de la Vega runs inside new Who just has to send it back down to

Jo al Paulo around the halfway line. Thirty six minutes into this game, Sounders down to nothing a penalty kick from Denny Bolonga in the sixteenth minute. A twenty seventh minute, pretty great strike from a Tuchepagoos of LAFC as Christi tries to slip the ball into rebaker wadding and has taken away from LAFC. And now will they try to transition bow Wonga long ball here to Palencia and Palencia it gets it about taken away from dayla Vega and JP and then back

the other way. Yeah, that it will be a foul and Obed Vargas and Sounders will work quickly. Here's Rusnak Rusnak looking for some hell balch on the left side. He'll have du A Paula JP walking against Eli A Sanchez outside the new who Sounders build through this possession and find sucking Day la Vega. Now on this near side, there's Obed Vargas back to Jackson, Reagan outlied to Pedro de la Vega. Still in possession for the Sounders. Here

we see about eight minutes away from the halfway point in this game. We should have a few minutes at least added because they had to go to var As. It's Rusnak in the middle of the park. Trya finds some space and has the ball taken away. It's spoke Goosh coming in here doing some defensive work, but then have all taken away from Revega widing read to Obed Obed middle of the part to JP. JP is knocked down by Bewonga.

No call, no calls, no idea what's going on, but the ball is tap back around and gets to the foot of Pedro de la Vega. Sounders back in possession. O bet Barga is working in behind. Now on the right side of the field, Day le vega Is tries to get in behind with du al Paulo, but that will go out for a goal kick. A dangerous spell there, Steve is a wild could have seen about two different or three different foul calls, but ultimately it's a goal kick. After

a nice spell for Seattle. Yeah, and it's been bet from the Sounders to become Pianci. It's been much betta in his last few moments here. I think for the Sounders they really would love to get one bat before half time, just a half deficit. Screwing me for half times was one of the best times to score. Just change the momentum of the game. The halftime speech ALFC desperate to get into the halftime local room, still with a

two go lead, and maybe me try to extend it. IFC working now in possession, sending a ball way out to the left, they have a runner, but Ken Christian Rodan getting the way he can Sounders take it right back with Reed on that right side. Oh bet now in the middle of the park with JP. We'll spend like it matters by supporting Bipok and Di

first owned businesses all year long. Visit intentionalists dot com to find a business near you as the Sounders working it now on to the left side with Peter de la Vega and Joel Paulo. Nothing to do but send it back to Jackson Reagan. Lafc has become so compact here in the thirty ninth minute, leading to nothing because a ball will get popped backed out to Hugo Larisse, Peter de Levega, a lot of movement steed he is. He's really trying

to find a channel. He's really trying to find any sort of space he can with the ball or even off the ball, and right now Lafc just so compact when Sounders are in possession. It's tough for him. Yeah, I think he's a little bit frustrated because he's gonna be able to really get into the game or maybe get as many touches as he's like, or the amount touches in the areas that allow him to be effective. So credit to

him trying to find him. But you also have to still be careful because defensively, when you can be out position, when you use the balls downer a second away. Here, here's Albert Rusnak Rusnak up for what's side. Here's Dale Vega del Vega cutting in crossing it thrown hugo Ares going up and he will grab that one out of the air. But right there, that's how you can get LAFC in quick transition after a giveaway in a nice cross. But that's the Tottenham legend jumping up and grabbing that one. Yeah,

there's a decent attack de Levega. You can see the idea. Pedrol del Vega trying to put a board into the far pull from the left hand side is up in the air. It's stays in there for a long time. You're gonna Reese very commanding comes and grabs the board there and when the GOP pays that, it really does give a lot of confidence to the back line. But I do think the sound is left five ten minutes have been doing well. This is the kind of game. Want to have the bettes between.

Can we gat in transition at times? How the times? Can we keep prolonged possession? And we've seen lfc's threat. You have a side also diminished a little bit. As we edge towards halftime, Sounders look more likely to cut lead in half and to go further behind. But with that said, it's an laf season that can score in an instant. LAFC was just in possession. They tried to find Ordaz on the right, but it'll end up at the foot of Stephen fry seven. Fridy sends along to Jordan Morris's

chest, but LAFC win the second ball and they bring it down. Tries to slip a throw ball in but Gamargomez Andre will get in the middle of that one as the Sounders take it back. Here in the forty first minute, here at vermald Quing Casino Pitch at Womenfield, it's Sounders nothing LAFC too. Here's Rusnack. Tried to slip the ball into Morris, but it is tipped away from Aaron Long. A nice play from the long time MLS veteran.

We spent a number of really outstanding years I mentioned a few minutes ago. Aaron Long spent a couple of years in the Sounders organization, ended up not making enough of an impact, ended up getting picked up from the New York Red Bulls too, ended up making their first team, and ended up becoming a star with the New York Red Bulls. And now here he is with LAFC. That's what thirty one years old now on the back half Aaron Long's career. But a great career has been for Aaron Long, coming through

multiple different systems and ended up finding success. The Sounders have it on the right, Christian over to read. A few minutes before the half, crossing it in, he goes towards the back post. Nobody home and it will go out for a LAFC goalkick Well. Discount Tire get thirty percent shorter average

wait time when you buy a book online at discount Tire dot com. Steve with a few minutes before the half, you know, for the Sounders, I think the question for Brian Schmenser is how much do you go for it in these next few minutes, you know, over committing perhaps, but trying, you know, shift that momentum in this game before the break. Yeah, if best case scenario, if in the sound is you pull one back

buck. You absolutely don't risk that at the expensive going down free Neil, So yes, it'd be nice to get one back buck, Gwenyon half time two nil is much much better gunn on three nil, So seek the goat, but don't need yourself too exposed offensively. Sounders are in possession jol Pollack tries to slip ball in. Here's Rusnak, Rusnak to JP JP crowded, not getting much spacer, but it bounces out to Christian rold On long shot

and that is blocked by ili A Sanchez of LFC. They will go out for a Sounders corner here in the forty third and this is another opportunity Steven, these set pieces that the Sounders have been so good on over these last eight games. In this unbeaten run, this is where you can use the big bodies of Jackson, Reagan, Yamargomez Andrade. Jonathan Bell had the goal on Wednesday. This is where you can find an opportunity. It'll be an

outswinger there. It comes from Rusnack and just headed away from LAFC, ends up with the foot of Obed Vargas. Vargas thees is JP Jo Paul looking for some space outlide to the left for Vargas setting across in headed away again, ends up with the foot of Malonga. Now it ends up Christian road On and that is going to be a long eyeball that will end up at

the foot of LAFC. But LFC will just clear that away another wild sequence there, as it wood like it might have ended up being a shot for Christian roll Don or Jul Paulo. But it was Lafc stepping in front at every turn for your sounders, not letting them get a shot towards Hugo Larise. The seattle's in possession here just a couple of minutes away from the halfway

line of this game. We will see how much Alan Chapman. As we had a bar decision earlier in this game on the penalty to kick in the sixteenth minute by Denny Mulonga, you expect to add at least two or three minutes here after we hit the forty five as a ball comes in here trying to find Jordan Morris and it looks like it's gonna be they're calling for a handball Steve. No call from Chapman, as it was an odd situation there. We saw him. I believe it was mex Sem Chane. Yeah,

very tough to see from him. Jordan's seen pretty sot and right away he was edimnt of course, as everything it's being checked, but initially new I think may have bounced up into his hid But I think again some as won't get caught him either way, very inadvertened by Chaneau, the French center back from LAFC was had a long career a member of the Luxembourg national team, seventy one appearances for them. L EFC veteran center back, a former member

of New York City FC. Is LFC is attacking on the left side, and I'll go out for a goal kick. But this is as a back line that has along whom we talked about Chaneau, You know, a thirty four year old guy who's been all the way around him less I mean, I think you believe it. Wants spent six years with New York City FC, a fan favor for many years out there. And then of course, hey sus Maria who's been with LAFZ for a few years as well. As

we see six added minutes, six aded minutes with the Sounders. Right now, as we hit the forty fifth, trying along ball the roofsnack. He tries to head it on, but nobody there again and it will end up in Hugo Lauris who throws it out wide to the right. Of course, we talk about the Sounders getting back in this game trying to make it a two to one game before half for LAFC. Meanwhile, I mean, what do we always talk about, right, three nothing leads in soccer? They're

none, no doubt. Thinking for Steve Trunuo. If we can get a three to nothing lead a half, we're feeling real good here on the road. Yeah, nothing FUNFC. I think they'll definely take the two nil. It's a team that they don't know any other way to play. They attack, attack, It's pretty relentleous every time they get the board. Put the to gol Ford get up so much for the long build up and prolong possession. It's Ford passes, it's breaking lines. Get to your front guys and

make things happen. Sounders like O way, here's Jordan Morris setting off on the right forriebig Or Wyda's helping the risk. I greed what should have shot and is just wide of the goal? I and wide for read a long distance shot. You like the quickness or you like more patience in that possession right there? See? No, I like that you win the bullet, you gotta go for it, especially at this stage of the game. It's about game game stage. The sound is too nil down, no time to

waste, and I think they can press a bit more. I think with Jordan Morris russknat that a Vega Readba Kawaiian, these guys can really press the LFC back line. Take Khalif of lfc's book. They're giving you no time to rest in your own back line. So if you can win the ball

to higher up the pitch, there's less distance to goal. I think for the sound is you want to see a bit more of that of second half six minutes out of it is a long ball from Larisse and Knew went up for it against an LAFC attacker who is down and acting like he got shot. That's Valencia, search ay Valencia. He is rolling and I mean he is really in a lot of pain right now. You know, I've I've seen him roll over and back and forth about five times. It would it

would. It's one of those difficult situations where it would seem to look like he's in an absolute ton of pain. But as we look here on the replay, there is no chance that he got hit as hard as he is acting like he got hit right now. Yeah, I mean, Sonny had a reaction to it. Right away. He goes down and I think normally in that situation with a clash of heads, both flesh suffo. But knew

who came from that pretty unscathed. And I'm not sure. Listen, maybe the arms to the back of the head, it could have been something, but Sonny went down in a heap, made a big meal of it. Referee has to quot a game gives both coaches a chance to saw of like a time out in Boston, will give some final instructions to the players as we approach the final moments of stoppish time in his first off. So here's

here's where that new MLS role comes in. Where as a player is down for what is it, you know, more than thirty seconds or so, then he has to come off the field for a full two minutes. So here's Valencia getting up. We're checking him out for the head. He's totally fine. Looks like he's a little bit frustrated because he knows he's gonna have to be off the field for two minutes. But that's a situation where where Palencia did not get hit very hard and he goes down to the deck and

he just rolls over five or six times. I mean, for your average Joe soccer fan watching that, it's it's the play that makes you just shake your head and come like, come on, man, you clearly didn't get hurt that much. Now here's the interesting thing. That Palencia was down. You're supposed to be out of this game for two minutes. He runs back onto the field right now as Sounders trying to slip the ball into Roosnack.

It'll go out for a corner here. But that's right. I don't I don't know why have the MLS role, Yeah, but I wonder it as an exception for head injuries. I have wonder so I think head injuries may there's a few exceptions. I'm not a time to show up. I think head injuries may foot. I'm gonna if you go out for head injury, you can come back. In counterpoint, shouldn't the head injuries being taken care of? More so? So shouldn't you for sure be out for two minutes?

Actually that yeah, I'll swing it from Rusnak here headed away from Lafc ends up the foot of Obed Vargas, who will use JP. But JP is getting pressured and has to send it all the way back to Stephen Fry. It's just a frustrating situation where if they write it in for if you're down for a certain amount of time, you have to be out the field for two minutes. It's to get rid of the embellishment of injuries. It's

to get rid of faking injuries. And what we just saw there was exhibit A. Why is sir, why is Balencia not off the field for two minutes? I'd love to know. But here he is back on as the Sounders are in possession. Here on the right side with Christian, he'll use o Bed in the middle. Oh bet back out to Christian Rod Donovan and LAFC player steps in. It's still the Sounders on the right. You'll end up at the foot of Ja Margomez Andrade who will use Jackson Reagan into the

middle of the field. We're into the fiftieth minute, hero I should say the forty fifth plus five here allumin field of our plus six A new who getting up the field. He'll send across in all the way to the left side. Gets to read bigger Whiting's foot. Now he'll send it into the box for Christian rodn Roll don looking to cross it in Jordan Morris goes up, but that is headed away, ends up at the foot of a LAFC boot who will clear it away here as we are now plus five and a

half here a luminfield of the plus six that Alan Chapman added. As the ball goes all the way back to Stephen Fry, I'll mention that twenty twenty five season membership deposits are on sale now. com. Backslash membership. As the ball is back out to Jackson Reagan in lafc's half of the field, let's see how much added time, Alan Chapman adds right now as the ball comes in here from Droupola ends up at the foot of Vargas Argus using Rusnak. Rusnak will be for some space, turning trying to find an opening out. Why do rebake your whiting here on the right reid using Yamar back out, They're gonna have to send it in. Here's red crossing it in ends up it the foot of Jordan Morris, who's

calling for a foul. Nothing called back out to Jackson Reagan. Let's see how much at a time the sounders have to reset again here to beg your

whiting on the right sends a cross in. Boris going down for the header, still calling for another foul, boris asking for it, nothing being given as an LAFC defender is down and Alan Chadman will walk over to him and we will have another stoppage of play here as we have now added six minutes and forty five seconds onto the first forty five, sending an eventful end to the haff Red Bay Kawaii, sending a company of cruses on both occasions the

sound is appealing for a hundboard referee not agreeing, and I think with a bullet hey from we're going to reach. His final free kick will be the last play of the game. Ended off strongly but not dangerous enough around the gold haven't really tested the French goalkeep up enough this often for my liking at

LFC, are going to feel that good value for the lead. We went into off time now, Alan Chapman taking a moment ball on his left hand, just taking a second to hear out this one as they are now checking the video review, is checking a possible penalty on a handball, as this would change quite a lot of things. As the clock now hits fifty two thirty, we've added seven and a half minutes on to the forty five.

Is Alan Chapman taking a moment, still holding onto that ball, Hugo Loise standing right by him, a man who has seen it all in this sport, thirty seven years old. The LAFC this year great season for them and obviously great season for Larise. Thirty goals conceded, third least in the Western Conference. As we're now going to see a replay, ah, but replay doesn't matter. It looks like that headed from Jordan Morris hit off the arm

of Ilia Sanchez. I'm not sure if it was full arm, Steve, but Alan Chapman says play on no penalty, Yeah, Clint of his era, I would say no. How much added time will be added now? After another video assistant revealed long ball over the top trying to get the Pedro dal le Vega working against three LAFC defenders and LAFC will be able to clear that ball away. It's a new who's head goes into the middle of the

park at an LAFC boots and Elia Sanchez goes down very hard. Joe al Paulo lighted very hard with Ilia Sanchez and JP will earn a yellow part. It's an SGB yellow when a follow is called SGB trial lords are here to help visit SGB dat flock dot com. That one Ilia Sanchez is down in a lot of pain. Yeah, and you can see why that's fair. Yeah, NJP a clenched the right way. He's late trying to get the boy and make him play. He's late lands on the ankle heyof Sanchez.

It's a definitely yellow card. And the game is so lost to us for both teams that you need halftime, small gain, regroup, take a deep breath, and then come out and hopefully just entertaining my second half. We got a few more things going to sound as way. Alan Chapman added six minutes. We're now at nine and a half minutes. The clock right now says fifty four thirty as LAFC will be able to kick this long and you wonder if this will be the final kick there it is finally nine and a

half minutes added onto the forty five. But the first half is over and it's a tough first half for your Seattle Sounders down to nothing here at Emerald Pingasino Pitch aut Looming Field. This score update is presented by Providence, Swedish Steve. Your final thoughts on the first fifty five, Yeah, a full fort of sound As you know, the penmany equal was a bit harsh, but you call the sorry for yourself. We know exactly what LFC came into

They've got forty five minutes a ton around well. LFC two Seattle two. Let's hand things off to Brad evans Lamar Nagel Andershurst on the halftime show. As LAFC take a two nil lead at halftime here at Movidfield m Quin Casino Pitch Well, we talked about in the pregame show, Bagoosh and Booanga. They were the talisman for the two guys up top for LAFC. They both got on the score sheet in the first half. Uh, initially on a penalty for Bowanga. Uh giving up? I

knew who Brad take us through that goal? Yeah, it's a turnover in the midfield and all of a sudden, you know that this team is fast and it's actually Boowonga who checks for the ball and he draws Yamar out with him and it's a little flick to the outside and then they get around the outside and it's a little bit of a It was the weirdest play I've ever seen the ball gets cross inside the box. It's a little shimmy shake. Guys are disorganized. But anytime you get into the box and the ball gets

laid across, it's gonna cause problems. And it sure did on that one. And somehow knew who ends up falling on the ball and just clipping it with his hand and with his whole body on top of the ball. It's a penalty. And then of course Boo Woga steps up and smashes it into the net. Never a doubt that that one wasn't going to hit the back of the net the way he struck it. Was it a penalty in your

book? Yeah, it's a penalty. I mean any inadvertent handball if it's at your side, No, But in that case, knew who's going to break ground and he does touch the ball with his hand, And so for me, if I'm on the opposing team, it's a penalty one hundred percent of the time. Yeah, because Stephen fries on the ground too. It's basically an open goal at that point, so yeah, and any movement of

the ball or anything is going to change the course of it. So yeah, it's definitely a handball in that case, and unfortunate for the Sounders to go down one note Lamar and take us through the second goal, Bagosh with a good volley outside the box. Yeah, the Bagoosh with the volley coming off a step save, right. I think the funny thing about these two goals is this isn't how we expected them to score, right, A PK and then the ball coming out. We expected, you know, maybe a

one on one or a fast break. But obviously STEP's out of position after the save, and then Magoosh has a goal as long as he hits it over. I think it was Christian trying to get the save in. But that's a tough spot to be in for a defender, just trying to cover for your goalie. Yeah. All right, guys, we need to get some changes here for this second

half. Brat Do you think this is a case of there needs to be tactical adjustments, maybe a shift in the formation, or do you think that they're working things and they're getting a couple of chances on Google lories. What do you think needs to change in the second half. I think one thing that can change is if Reid's gonna play wide right, I'd rather have him tuck inside and overload the midfield and push Christian high. I'd rather have Christian

as my widest player attacking and then read to enter the play later. And then also if the ball gets turned over in the middle there, it's not Christian having to sprint all the way back. Reid can do that job for him. Because they're pretty interchangeable. I just think Christian's more more dangerous going forward. And ultimately, if they're gonna play with four in the midfield and

we only have three, they're gonna outnumber us every time. We can't have two guys wide, one of those guys has to tuck in, which I prefer to be read and then play from there. So that would be the only thing to change right now. And you know, they look more lively the last you know, ten to fifteen minutes. Obviously you go down to nothing thing at home, So look for a Sounders team in the second half

to be motivated to push the ball forward and take some chances. Lamar with those changes, comes substitutes as well, anyone that you could think that comes off the bench to make an impact on this game. I mean, one of the best sounder scores ever, Raoul coming in. Obviously you need goals. I don't know, you know how many opportunities. It's stuff. I think Jordan's best position is when he's number nine, But when he's able to run at people, LAFC, are they really going to be stretched? Are

they really going to be pulling out? So will Jordan have that space behind? I'm not so sure. So you put Raoul in there, maybe you put a Leo Chow, somebody that can actually beat, that can beat somebody that's going to take guys one on one to create some space. Yeah, I agree with you there one hundred percent. This copyrighted audio cast of Major League Soccer may not be retransmitted, reproduced, or rebroadcast without the express consent

of Major League Soccer. One more thing that I'm looking for in the second half. I really want to see a little bit more abuse of the middle of the field because I think with way LAFC are coming out, they have the three center backs again, Jordan Morris, He's not finding a ton of spaces behind. They need to find those pockets, and I think Albert has done a better job of that as of late in the last few minutes, and Peter de la Vega just trying to row him into different spots. We'll

see how long he's able to go in the second half. What do you think of his first half performance? Broad It's been okay. I still think he's trying to get his feet underneath him. You can see guys communicating with him on the field that he's trying to rush it. You see JP saying calm down, you see Yamar saying calm down. I think he's just trying to do too much himself. And this game, at this level, there's very few players that can do it on their own, and unfortunately Lafc's got

two of them, and so he's not that guy. He needs players around him to help him play and open up space. So Pedro just needs to calm down, connect his passes and then the game will come to him after that. Yeah, got to He's got to take his time, right, It's gonna take time, I was saying for the other players to figure out

where he is on the field as well. Right, He's he's out wide, he's roaming in the middle, and that's kind of Albert's space, So trying to find out where he fits in, what his role really is. I think obviously he's excited to play, so that's why he's all over the place. But yeah, sometimes you got to wait and let the game come to you. Awesome, all right, well Sounders. FC Soucker is presented

by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders. FC Jackson felt that Steve zak Kwani will have the second half call for a hopeful Sounders comeback next on Sports Radio ninety three point three kjrthoun Now back to Seattle Sounders Sucker on Sports Radio ninety three point three KJR FM. Welcome back to Luminfield, where the sun has set here in Seattle and your Sounders. The sun hasn't set on them yet, still forty five minutes to play, but there is a lot

of work to do. They are down to nothing to AALIFC Seattle. Has been a change here at the half. Pedro de la Vega, who had a minute's limit in this game, He has been taken out here at halftime. In his place, Paul Rothrock has come on to play on the right wing. Rothrock of course, kid from Capitol Hill, who's come on to this scene so strong here in the last couple of months Sounders Academy, he went off to Notre Dame, then Georgetown won the national championship in twenty nineteen.

H since coming back to Seattle after going to Toronto, he's really come on with a couple of goals. Assistance you mean he finds ways and he makes runs and he makes big impacts in any sorts of ways. So Steve Paul Rothrock coming up for Dale le Vega is an interesting change here from head coach Brian Spetzer. Yeah, and again it's a big vote of confidence. But we just don't have Rob Lui Diaz on the bench and Ron Schmes has child. It's goal of the young. It's gonna be inful pull rough Rup

and Well he'll ask to deceive his extra well grade. He makes things happen simply by his well greade. He's work ethic and the Sounders needs something, anything to turn the game around. Sunders have kicked off here this second half as they attacked the Broman while slipped into Jordan Morris back Guy's I did Jule

Paul trying to find some space out to the left side. Here's Reed working with Rusnack, Bruce Snack working into the box, trying to find some space, working with a triangle with jo Al Paulo and JP Cross comes in Bruce Knack, Petter Nobody at the end there as Christian roll Don was the closest man, but it's belonging clearing that ball away and it's clear back out to Jackson Reagan who brings it down, sends it out to Gomez Andrat Sounders pushing

here to start the second half. Now into the final third again with rob Rot on this right side for an area to cross it into, sends it in a low ball Christian to obed back to Paul left put it shot and it is just high and wide of the goal. But we're already seeing a different energy of the Sounder team in the opening one minute of the second half. Yeah, I like the idea. I like the idea from rough. Roquet gets inside the box, tryes to open up with the left foot,

getting the ball towards the far post. But you can see exactly why it's been brought on in the first sixty seconds of being on Gott on the board two or three times. He's running off the board, already causing issues for lfc's back line, and again in a very good chance that bolt maybe to sound his best chance over road. Hugorese had a goal kick. I was sent far to the right side, but it was not accurate and it comes out for a Sounders throw. They will work down this left side. Now

knew who Chap behind him. Now working into the middle of the park. Jackson Reagan in the middle of the center circle, taking a moment, sends it out to Gomez on Jarty on the right side. Sounders in an advanced position right now, trying to get something going here. In the opening few minutes of the second half, looping ball over, trying to final bet Vargas, but LAFC cuts it out. They are trying to build the momentum out of the back but this ball is taking away from job Holloway long shot from

distance and that ball will go high and wide. I want to re steve if Brian Schmitzer didn't say in the locker room, start taking some shots from outside, start taking some shots from distance. We've seen a couple early in the first minute, and a half of the second half. Yeah, I think just pick everything up offensively. I think the side is what not the races in the first half that NFC what the bet team will good for the

good value for the lead, maybe to nail to himboard. It hush, But suddenly the two teams and asunders have started a second half, a lot of purpose, a lot of intent, and much more of a performance that you expect to see from a sounder. Seattle now attacking again on this left side, trying to fit in with Reid, but read a heavy touch is taken away from LAFC, who now tries to find some space down the right side. But the ball will go out after hitting Joo Bollo and it will

be thrown here. In the forty eighth minute, As Steve mentioned, a penalty kick in the sixteenth minute from Denny Bolonga was followed up in the twenty seventh minute a long shot from distance by Matouche Bagouche of LAFC. A long, really brilliant shot that came off of a free kick that got deflected back that has given the visitors a two nothing lead. Is a long ball here is gone up by lafc's left back Composts and Christian Roldan, but it ends

up with Jamar Gomez Andrade who's kicking it around to Jackson Reagan. First few minutes of the second half, Seattle looking to I'm back like they did in Houston some weeks ago. Here in this eight match unbeaten streak, Sounders, winners of their last six across all competitions, have gotten nineteen points from their last seven games. That's tied for the most in MLS in their last seven.

Trying to extend that unbeaten run, it will take a lie down this right side to Paul Rothroft, the man who just came on for Pedro deal Levega. He tries to cut in but has taken away from Denny Bowoga. Bowonga tries to fight some space, but it goes out for a Sounders throw now back into Obd Vargas in the middle of the park. He's gonna use Jackson Reagan in the center circle. Everybody of Seattle in lafc's half right now. Al Paulo on the right looking for some healthy Asoba in the middle,

who turns only can send it back out to Jackson. LAFC playing a different lineup today, from head coach Teve Tarutalo, who saw two major injuries to their team in Wednesday's match against Realis Salt Lake. That force seemed to change from a four to three to three to a three four three and play with a back three or back five. That has allowed LAFC to be very, very compact on the defensive end since going up to nothing. As a long ball goes out to the left, not long enough and it's taken away from

LAFC. It comes back to Seattle as they cannot control ars Knew who on the left side cutting in trying to find no bed, but it all squirts away and nearly is taken away from Denny Molonga. Sounders will reset here as we hit the fifty first minute at Emerald Queen Casino pitch at Loomin Field. It's LAFC two sounders, nothing that should be a foul. Alan Chapman will let them play. So Bed Vargas was brought down there from Bagous to the

LAFC forward. Now Sounders attacking on the left side through stack with some space tries. It's the balling of Morris gets it back, but LAFC take it back right away and now we'll eventually go all the way out for a goalkick for Hugo Lourissa Lafc Steed. Well, the LFCA give him a lot of credit. Credit. Where is to do? They've taken away all the space

that Jordan Morris loves to operate in that back three center back. It's proven so far to be a very good decision because they're able to cover for each other and it's eliminated what Jordan Morris and Albert russ n I have done so well in Lincoln up in the past a couple of months or so on the

last few weeks, and it just hasn't been the space there. So I wonder if at some point Wilste Jordan Morris push more to a wide position where you can get the board face up and try to make things happen as someone like raw Rudis, who doesn't need a space behind you can operate underneath and he's a half chance may come into the game to try and change him up for the Sounders and sunders Now on the left side with new who they can

do in an advanced position here that will be across that gets to fuck it out for another throw. You bake your Whiting throw it all the way back out to Jackson Reagan. He's working into the middle of the park now Usus Gomez Andrade to his right now Christian on the right side. Christian trying to slip the ball in, but nobody home. It ends up in an LAFC foot. There's Ilia Sanchez now working his way away from Obed Vargas and another

miscommunication. LAFC. You know, they may be up to nothing, but they are trying really hard to give as much of the possession to the Sounders right now as possible. Two giveaways here, just taking it right out of bounds. As we'll see if we can frustrate them into continuing to make mistakes self inflicted. As Sounders worked down on the right side, Christian Roldan has

tripped up. No call from Chapman. Long ball here on the left as Jackson Reagan working on the young Nathan Ord has no call there from Alan Chapman and Christian Roldan going to Chapman right now asking where are the fowls. LAFC will have a throw in from the middle of the field and that is going

to be a foul call. It very very physical player right now. I think Paul Rothrock, who draws or who his foul or fouls right there, he finally kind of probably came to the point where he's saying, all right, Chatman, let's see how much goes before you finally call a foul. And it turns out wrapping an arm around a player and bringing him down that's

as far as you can go before a foul is called. As a long ball is taken away from Seattle and there's another foul called from Chapman, this time a little bit interesting as the Sounders appeared to be on the break going back down to the prom end. But this game is going to be held up here, as I believe it was. But Goose here on the right side, you know it's not bo Goosh. I think it's Palencia is on

the right side. He went up against knew who he was, the one who was rolling in that first half, and he's down again with another head injury. Yeah, I think on this if it might even be a knee in to Beck has knew who's going up there trying to get Leveridge wave he's head to death. I think he just bows for his his Beck and that's what it's about. But it gets a sound of a chance to posted the bench. We'll see him. Both Edix Trolle Doun and Ruey Diaz both give

minute to come on. And Brian Schmitz, why note you get two no down? Had the decent sauce in a second half, Buck, he's a two guys's been sunning to help you our Only eight minutes into this second half and Brian Schmitz are already making the halftime sub of Paul Rothrock. He is not waiting long. He is ready to make some moves here. We will see what the Alex rolled on and Roaldridi has changes are here in a moment is a long ball tries to get the Jordan Morris. Jordan Morrison behind hey

tackle there and calling for the penalty inside the box. Alan Chapman says, play on, He's gonna get a get giving a yellow car to Paul Rothrock. It looks like no penalty is called. The Sounders are irate with the referee Alan Chapman, as Morris had the ball in the box, got good positioning on next team Chaneau Chaneu slid tackle Jordan Morris. Nothing called and the Sounders right now are all in Chapman's face. Paul Rothick has been given a yellow. Steve, as you look at this one, what do you see?

Yeah, we'll get to replay here. I think rough front does go to ground easily. Chapman gets that right. It's the Jordan Morris one where there's a lot of punk type day. It has to be said. But again the criteria is is a clear and obvious error, and I think Chapman's done to check and we're gonna play on here. LFC free kick. Yeah, I mean listen to this. You all can hear it. Alan Chapman

is not a popular man in Seattle, Washington. Right now. Jordan Morris brought down in the box by by Nixeme Chana and then the follow up Paul Rothrock ran onto it. He was tripped up. It appeared very lightly. I think Steve's right underground a little bit easy, but he was nonetheless down and then got up. Was very angry with Chapman. He was given a yellow by the way, SDB Yellow Park when a fellows called SGB trial lawyers

are here to help visit SGB Dashois dot com. As we see the two changes for the sounders here coming in the fifty sixth minute, it's al Strollon and roll Ruy Diaz coming onto the field or knew who and Joel Hollow Yeah, and I think for the sound is what you'll see as Jordan Morrison likely bolsta the left right hand side. He'll pill one wing rough Roklndieva read Baykawaii and Ghoston left back. When knew who was the Sounders trying to find an

opportunity. Obed Vargas Lacrosse comes in, comes off with an LAFC hand and then will be a free kick for the Sounders about twenty seven yards away from goalie. Dangerous free kick coming here about the same spot that Albert Rusnak hit I want to say about was about eight games ago. He hit from almost this exact spot for the Sounders and he went to the bottom right hand of

the last time he was in this position. We'll see what he does against the LAFC French goalkeeper Hugo Larisse, who has probably seen a thousand three kicks from this exact spot. Here comes Rusnak. Rusnak comes off of a l e f C back. It looks like Elia Sanchez and it will go all the way out wide for a Sounders throw here at fifty seventh minutes. Now

it's throws in the Christian. Christian back out to Albert Rusnak, Rusnak finding al Trodan now trying to get into the middle of the park withs in space, to Roldrudiez Raoul trying to find some space. He has a long hit and it goes into the arms of Hugo Lorese. Hey, audacious drive from rol Ruydiez. But you gotta do that down to nothing? Yeah, is and just a referend shame to so Alextual Don golstill right back that moves Christian

inside to the spot. John Pottle just that it's not Christian. I'm upside. Oh but Bob guess. And for the Sound has been a very good sort to the second half. I've hardly seen LFC in the offensive half, I'm told because that's and vote and the sound is reading vot to momentum now

just called convent at Chosa's. The ball bounces around here and ends up being a Sounders free kick here in the fifty eighth minute, and they nearly have a ball intercepted by Nathan ord As of LAFC a quick take there that nearly is taken away. But here the Sounders come down, galloping down the left side. Here is Reed now playing in his left back position with Paul Roddrock ahead of him, Red warging against three LAFC defenders, and they will eventually

tap it back out to Jackson Reagan. Jackson Reagan in a very advanced position trying to get past it into the final third, and he is tripped up by Edward do Twesta. Jackson Reagan, the dancing midfielder, a center back tourna midfielder there is Jackson Reagan earns a free kick in a very dangerous spot. How about the center back getting high there, Steve. And that's how

it's been second off. It's been one way tru fit. It's been the entiret sound of team, aside from Steff from Fry comes out in the LFC huff trying to make things happened. It's not up cetis off yet. Now a free kick twenty five awesome gold. It's only Raul rudiez over the board, not risking that so we know exactly what's coming. Hits from a very good angle inside the left him massive Ward from Laris, But what chounce for

this out? Is Raul standing over it? You just tried a shot from any similar position here it comes going for Laris and ends up going about five yards above the left side of the goal, and that will be out for a goal kick. Well. Sanders Matchday is presented by Sparkling Ice Official Sparkling refreshment of Sounders FC full flavor, zero sugar. Anything but subtle. You know Raul Rudi has anything but subtle? Is he tried that long shot and

then he tries the long free kick that goes just above. Is the Sounders trying to get it back from LFC. Here we're into the sixtieth minute. Here at Emerald preen Casio pitch at lumen Field. It's LAFC two Sounders nothing. His score update is presented by Sparkling Ice Seattle. With possession with the Amon Gomezanti, he'll send it out to the left for Reid Baker widing at his new left back spot. This this is Jackson. Every Sounder in l

EFC's half right now they push trying to get one back. Here's Rusnak working with Christian and Paul. Now back out to Jackson. Reagan in the center circle. Trys to slip a ball through the middle, a line breaking pass, but it's taken away from LFC. Now they're on the break. Here's Bogoch, he holds it up just slightly here as LIFC will now work in possession. Here into the sixty first minute, they will send it along their back line. Now working forward is Maria fall into the middle of the park,

roared as zatu Esta. LAFC now doing in possession, trying to slow down this game just asad as much as LAFC can. LAFC a fast breaking team, but this is what they can do with a very very talented group of players. Now the ball Hugo Leise, He'll send this one law. It will be headed by Compost, ends up in the foot of Gomez Andrade

and the Sounders have ball back. They try to send it forward, but a ball whom Christian Roldan has taken away an LAFC look to be on the break again, They once again are held up, Christian Roldan doing a good job of just stopping and getting in the way of that. And now a yellow card given. I believe believe it's gonna be a yellow card given to LAFC and Poteosh Bagosh I believe will be the recipient of this yellow card. It's an SGB yellow when a follow is called SGP trial lawyers are here to

help visit SGB dash law dot com. Stephen off ball yellow card there. Yeah, I actually did not see what happened. Maybe we'll get shot see a refey, But there was very little complaint from on the LFC side, So I think it's a general clud just you can always tell by a finance

reaction on that occasion. Bogus, I've been absolutely nothing to say. It's a Chapman Sounds got a free kick and I can't have a chance to go an attack inside the LFC huff with Reagan in possession here and lacs Half tries to break the line to Roldiz and roll tracking way back, eventually keeping possession for the Sounders. Now on the left side here with Paul Rothrock Raoul using back and forth with Rothrock trying to create some space to create a channel for

the Sounders. Reid beg Der Whiten can only send it all the way back out to Jackson, Reagan and al trodaan coming way in as Alec Trodan Rolridiaz have entered this game here as well as Paul Rothrock at the half off ont of the right, Ralbert Rusnak trying to find some space, Jordan on the right side, Jean tries to slip the ball in back out, ends up at the foot of Christian Road on Christian and Jordan working one too. Now

here's Jordan going inside as it's the ball into Vargas. Fargas taps it and that's taken away from LAFC, who try to work quickly in transition, but turn the wall away and it's back to the Sounders. And again here here's Raul working on Mario rol earns himself some space. Raul tries to run right into one of their midfielders, Palencia and nothing doing but a goalkick here for

Hugo Lorese as Raoul had nowhere to go there. Yeah. I think as much as a Sounders have been dominant second half possession wise, territorial wise, they haven't read trouble Luriz, so I think for LAFC they'll take this. They've not been good second off, night and day from their first half game where they were able to gather and transition out in attack. Get who want to go on the run that's not happened. By the same time, they're not facing a ton of pressure on their goal from the sound is evil.

L Hugo Lories as you would expect from a veteran who has played seventy games and UEFA Champions League, who his face up here one hundred and forty five times with the French national team. Took his sweet time on that one sending it and he sent it along and lafc earning a bowel here in Seattle's half because they will have a I wouldn't say dangerous spot here, but a chance

to just really slow down this game even more. See Cherulo bringing a couple of players over Aaron Long Edward dot Twesta, their veteran leaders just slowing down this game and they are going to take a lot of time off the clock right now. You only hope that Alan Chatman adds all of this later. Yeah, and I think if judging by the first off then he will. We had had to quick time. I had to do it. But I think for the ANFC now it's about game management. They want to take the

momentum away from anything to sound. As I'm trying to do. I think it's been a good response so far, set them up from the Sounders. But what's missing is there's no real both friend, nothing towards the boat. And I think until the sound has figured that out, NFC won't mind. Don't take that time, every cent piece, every throw in, they're gonna wolf to the boat, eat some minutes off the crook and this shrunk the sunder's momentum as much as they can off Tuesta over it. As Nathan Ord

has finally got up after about a minute, he's completely fine. Here's a Tuesta take this free kick, sending it towards the back post, but it's headed away from Jackson Reagan. LFC is still in possession with Polenski, but he'll send this wildly way over the left side that will be eventually cleared away but to an LAFC foot. Now a compost on the left side working with

Bowlonga. Bolonga loops it over to compost but not able to get it on his foot and it ends up back to the Sounders, where they quickly give away for the Alex rolled on. Now here's back to Bowoga. Golonga tries a back heel a ball in but it's taken away. Sounders now give the possession back to Jordan. Morris tries to head them all along, but that is not gonna be on target. Back to an l a f C. But it's back and forth here on the left side of the field in Seattle's

half, and it'll end up being an LAFC throw. As Christian rolled on getting in the way of that one, but not able to keep it in bounds. There'll be an LAFC throw and another chance to take just another couple

seconds off this clock well. Sounders EPs Soccer is presented by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders FC. It's LAFC two Seattle nothing here at everyone Preen Casino pitch at lumin Field. Jackson Felt, Steve Zachawani on Sports Radio ninety three point three KJR f M. The Sounders take this ball away and they try to work in some transition. Here's Raoul long ball to right for more Morris working on long has to retreat a little bit and back out to Alex Roldan here on the right side. Will use Gomez Andrade in the middle as the Sounders now working possession over on the left for Rebaker, Whiting read a chance to cross it in. Will

he working on Valencia trying to bunch of the space. Here comes across, ends up being headed by composts. Back out to Alex Trodan and back out to Tamar, Gomez Andrade. Sonder's attacking on this right side, but LAFC see just a slip and Strada intercept, but Allen Sounder's still with it. Christian into Vargas, Vargas into the box, and Vargas just trips up on himself. It looked like oh beed Vargas working into the box, but the ball is still going. No foul called cross comes in. Cross ends up

deflected back out to the foot of Rebagger. Whiting fighting for it is red ball being chotled for right outside of the box for LFC, and eventually a foul will be called on Seattle. This will be an LAFC free kick from about ten yards outside the eighteen. A chance there for Seattle as Chapman kept

letting them play across. Came in, but just not enough bodies to get a header onto target as a pop back out, and we see Hugo Larisse once again taking a sweet time getting to this one for an LAFC kick free kick here in the sixty eighth minute. It goes along here to the left side to Denny Bowonga and eventually we'll go out for a LAFC throw here. As LAFC prepared to make two changes of their own here in the sixty ninth

minutes. We'll see if they make those before this throw in Alan Chapman holding up play for the throwing happens before the changes. Here's compos on the left side working into the final third. Cross comes in Magoosh, but goes a shot. We'll sail wide right of the goal and this will be out for a seven priy goalkick. And here come those LAFC changes here in this sixty ninth minute. The first one will be Aaron Long coming out and it will

be Eddie Sugura coming in. That's a straight swap at center back for LAFC. Here just some fresh legs on the defensive end their back line of three or five. The second change will be number twenty seven, Nathan ord As coming out. Nathan ord As a young twenty year old homegrown from Ensino, California. He picks up a good shift here going into sixty nine minutes and in his place Steve is a guy we talked about in the first half. It's an MLS legend. It's Kai Kamara, second most goal is in MLS

history. He's on the field now for LAFC. Yeah, guy's no strangers to us. I see that I will pay against kay for many is no Kai very well and listen, boy, he's gonna add to the team is great? Hold up play well what tie Ysley And no one in the league history has found the net more than him, aside from one person. So it's definitely a die If you need that third goal, he's wanna quit it.

In short scale, you could do a lot worse. I'm gonna kaye from my wrong ball over the top to Jordan Morris on the right side. Can he keep it in bounds? He can, but immediately getting in the way. This compost the left black for LAFC and it would be a Sounders throwing. Good job by Jordan Morris and not let that go out for a simple goal. Kicker and Sounders working in position on the right side, Alix

Troldn trying to find some space to cross it. We'll just have to send it back out to Gomez Andrade. Now back to Alice steps the ball into Christian, Christian crossing it to the back post. Nobody there but Hugo Luris, who grabs it out of the air, falls onto the ball. It's hot. In a legend, we'll take another couple of seconds off of this

clock. Well, this corporated audio cast on Major League Soccer may not be retransmitted, to, reproduced, or rebroadcast without the express rich consent of Major League Soccer. We're in the seventy first minute. Here at em real quick, Caine, I'll pitch at lumin field it Sounders nothing, LAFC two. Yes, I have a little bit of a hold up of play here. Looks like it'll be eventually an LAFC throw well for the Sounders. Now,

obviously there's this game and then they'll have a break in MLS play. We'll have the League's Cup and that's gonna be starting on Friday night here at Luminfield. As this ball is gonna be Jostles floor will be a Sounders throwing for about fifteen yards from the halfway line on the far side of the field. I'm thrown will go to Jackson Reagan. The League's Cup will start on Friday night against Minnesota. Sounders are in the group's age, a area where they

weren't able to get out of last year in League's Cup. They hope to get out of Leagu's Cup this year and we'll start on Friday night. We hope to see you out here at Luminfield. It'll be a I believe seven o'clock or seven thirty kickoff against Minnesota in the group stage. The Sounders working into lfc's half Paul rothrock I go over Toymark Gomez Andrade for a zoom action and MLS. About a month from now, Minnesota United will come back to

talent for MLS action. As the LFC turned this ball away, here's Alec Trodan into the final third trying to fall into Jordan Morris. He's on side, cross comes in, comes off an LAC boot and it will go out for a Sounders corner. Here in the seventy second then it's Steve. Yeah, much bet from the sound to say it's been a bit of a load in the game in terms of the attack. NFC, wevren that sound to storm. You know, I went to see it kind of be a second

wave because one goal will get this place erupted. We'll change the game. We'll put some dot into LFC and as sounds of a chance to dude just that from a set piece Hill, who's Alva Rusnak. It'll be an outswinger here here, it comes into the box going to the back post. Nobody there. LFC will get in the way of that one, but it'll come all the way back out to roll Ruy Diaz here as he will retreat and then cross the ball into the goal, but it only goes into the side

of the nets and he'll go out for another goalkick for Hugo Luis. As we see the Sounders making another change, their fourth change of the night, there'll be Danny Mazovsky coming onto this field for Christian roll don So, Steve, how does this change things for your eyes? Yeah? And I think Mazoski he's gonna go play on this right hand side. It looks like right

now Albert Russknack will drop next to ob Vogas. Those will be the two center midfielders, and then Jordan Morris and Raoul up top one of the four four two. Raoul may play in between drop into the tenth space at times. Buffink Brian Smith, and he's more numbers in the attack. He wanted to get Jordan back centrally, and so I looked like a four four two with rough Rock on the left, Russ Snack and Vargas central, and Masoska

on the right hand side, and Jordan and Raoul up top. Yeah, Bryan Schmitzer adding bodies in this attacking formation, just trying to and I've always slipt in here brelliant feet one on one at the goal into the back of

the nets as Lae add a third. Here in the seventy fourth minute at women Field, it's Denny Bowoga picking up a brace his second goal of the game, and it gives the Visitors a three to nothing lead here on the road with sixteen minutes remaining, as Elie Sanchez taunting the crowd here in Seattle, a tough goal to give up a very nice throw ball and Denny Bowoga, one of the strongest, fastest, and biggest goal scorers in Major League Soccer, does it again. And for Bowonga, he now has sixteen goals

this season, a tremendous year for him. And we see for LAFC they are all smiles here to night the womenfield Steed. Yeah, it's a fantastic pussle. Kaya Kamara. We don't know m me to see him playing play Make Cup. We spoke about he's both splaying prowess, but black He's just fantastic. He's that good and we've seen him Seattle lost. He's done it again tonight. As soon as he got into that free boat, it was

no doubt. The Bulls end up in the back of the net, outrun Redbake, Hawaiian, outrun Jackson Reagan and then to finish to stay composed and plating puls Stephen Fry and you may have put LFC and this game beyond the soundest for good. Yeah, crazy things have happened in this league, very very crazy things have happened. I remember the Western Conference Final in twenty twenty against Minnesota Or where Minnesota was leading to nothing, Sounders were able to find

three goals in about a six minute stretch, a sixteen minute stretch. Same thing happened for Seattle here even recently was at FC Dallas and they find a way to come back and get those wins three to two back in twenty twenty and then just recently over Dallas, So crazier things have happened. But the Sounders would need three goals just to get a point tonight against what would be if this holds the top team in the Western Conference at least in points per

game in terms of overall standings. Right now, LAFC with two games in hand over the LA Galaxy. Galaxy are leading three to one right now over Portland. So if you're the LAFC, weob right now you are looking at this saying we're gonna stay two points back at the top with two games in hand, we're in a free spot for Seattle. Meanwhile, right now a loss leaves you with thirty seven points, you're still sixth place in the Western

Conference. Because Portland is losing tonight to l the LA Galaxy, so still looking at sixth place. Nothing changes in that regard, But obviously opportunity here for Seattle would be dropped. Is LAFC once again here on the break, it's Bogosh on the right side. We're gonna gets Reagan pass comes through. You can't find Bowanga. It's cut out from Jamar Gomez Andrade and LAFC.

Stay with it though. Here in the seventy seventh you're just Bogoosh working into the box, working on trying to find some places across in a flection after foot of Jackson, Reagan will go out for an LFC corner here in the seventy seventh and they will be in no rush to go to the stick on this one. It's a team that is just relentless and frightening actually in the counter attack when they get out in transition. I don't think it's a team

in MLS that does it quite how they do it. They built their whole identity on doing that, and they came in tonight with a game plan. It's not exactly what they wanted to do. The first goal is generous the penalty, but since then they haven't looked back and this is as good a performance as Steve Trindlock could have hoped for. And for the Sounders there's the bar. That's the bar for the top from the Western Conference and MLS.

That's where the standard is been on a great run of form. You can't at the feel like this look what you look what it looks like setting all the way back, but also should be eye opening for where the true standard is in this conference. Well, the man who's or the twenty seventh minute, Bogushi has left field to defeat Martinez, has come on for him.

A young eighteen year old forward from Venezuela. Also leaving the field was Omar compos As a corner comes in ends up at the foot of Red Baker Whiting, Baker Whiting trying to get off on the break, a good tackle from LAFC will force a Sounders throw. Omar compos came off the field and Ryan hollings had a veteran fullback in this league, was come on for him and a guy in Ryan holings head who can certainly help just usher this game down.

As they're now into the seventy ninth minute here at Luminfield, LAFC leading your Sounders three nothing now two goals from Denny Bowanga, who now has sixteen on the year, and a goal from Bagoush who now is sitting with a smile on the bench. Long ball from Reagan trying to find Alex Roldan headed away by haulings Head and now to Bowanga. You're on the left side for LAFC Bolonga trying to find some space get around Alex Roddan and now it's the

Sounders in possession. Here's Rusnak out to Mazovsk on the right side, back to Rusnak into Alex Rodan trying to find some space but just can't get a clean ball. And it's been a lot like that tonight for the Sounders, where just trying to slip a ball into the box, trying to find some space for the first touches, just not clean enough and LAFC are just clamping things down the back line as the ball will eventually roll here to Stephen Fry

back out to Reagan. But it's that relentlessness Steve and then on the offensive end and then on the defensive end, that back three that has shifted into a back vibe has just been so tight and they get so compact defensively. This is a tremendous LAFC teams. Yeah, we're witnessing tonight. Yeah, they watched the tape when it sounds and said, look, we've got takeaway to space. How do we take away what a Sounders do while not giving

up what we do? And they found the right baton so congested the middle of the defense gave no space for Jordan Morison behind well, allowing themselves a tunnel room to still get out of transition. LFC in transition again. Here's Bowlonga one on one with Stephan Frye. Here's Denny Bowonga, and that is a big safe from Stephen Frye was one on one with the twice goal score for LFC, and fry says, no, you don't. You will not get a hat trick. He denies Bowlonga. Certainly the player of the night

for the Seattle Sounder is Stephan Frye. Denied the hat trick. Bowonga is just wondering how he didn't get that, but he does not. As Sounders now coming back here on the left side of the field with Baker whiting and with Obed Vargas sending it back to Jackson, Regaz Bolonga finally jogging to rejoin his team, trying to slip a ball into Rothrock, but bounces off of the foot of Elia Sanchez. LAFC back in control with Kai Kamara now and

Steve. One of the interesting things was the fact that coming into this game, and we started the broadcast by saying, all right, eight unbeaten, six straight wins, but a lot of these games have been against As LFC is on the break again, it looks like here comes but Readbaker widing a great step now Gomez Andrade gets a positioned on Kay Kamara and it will go to the foot of step In Fry comfortably. But listen, this was the

ultimate test. You've beaten teams like Saint Louis, New England, Chicago, you know, bottom dwellers free of the conferences, but this is the big test. As a ball comes in at Jordan Moore swippt in, he has a tough position here as he's working against two LAFC defenders. It's been like this all night for Jordan. Just when you think a through ball is gonna

have Jordan in, there's multiple LFC defenders right in his face. As the Sounders now attacked on the right, We'll get back to that conversation about the test here in a moment. As the Sounders in possession here on the left eighty second minute, here Emerald quin Casino pitch, lumen field, l EFC, three Sounders, nothing, all coming into the box, headed away to

the foot of Bowanga. Where's Denny Bowanga's galloping down the field, not even close to going one hundred percent as LFC sent it off onto the right side of the field, working against the green baker Whiting, who's able to get the ball back. The Sounders now back in possession. But see you again that the test of this game was the test. All right, We're now up against the best team in the Western Conference, or at least one of

the best teams in the Western Conference. How do we compare with this eight match on beaton streak and we're seeing the Sabers still have room to go, still have work to do. We just started the transfer windows, so you know, if this team wants to challenge for the top of the West, if they want to challenge to be back in MLS Cup, I think tonight we're clearly seeing there is room for this team to become the team that they need to be to get there. Yeah. Absolutely, but I think also

keepin the sounds you don't want to overe end. I think no, this is that game where three zero squod and does not look good you got he still had good mo You take the good from it. You try and clean up what didn't work defensively, and you know that at some point down the line, if you want to get what you want to get to, you probably will have to see this LAFC team again. And credit to LFC, hats off to them. They've come in, great game plan, very very

efficient and tinnacle. They've got one of the top three, four five best blas in the league in Buanga, who has been since you joined the league. You take you on the chin, you regroup, know that in a month to come back to the MLS and you try to start another run now Leeds Cup starting Friday. MLS action continues in a month. You can watch the match by a Emlent

season pass on the Apple TV app. We will not have a broadcast for that, so make sure you watch that match. Sounders work on this right side at ALC trod on him behind. Cross comes in ahead of Jordan Morris, right into the arms of Hugo Larise. That was maybe the best Sounders cross of the night. Got to Jordan Morris's head, Steve, but not able to put it anywhere but into Larisse. Yeah. I mean, listen, there's been a bunch of good attacks in the first minute. It's been

a very back and forth game, but not enough towards Larisse's goat. He hasn't been challenged enough, hasn't been forced to make saves. His Backlan hasn't had to work hard enough yet. I think for the sound as your pros play was good at times, but in that very very final part of the final third, the quantity you need just hasn't been to lafc Allen possession already trying to fight for that ball as they send it off on the right side.

LIFC just work in Seattle and fight for the ball down towards the end that Jackson Reagan wins and sends it for Dalbert Rust who has dropped from his original position. And now here's Reed Baker Whiting and Paul Rothrock excuse me on the left side, and Paul Rothrock will draw a foul and that will be a yellow card over on the right side. I believe that's gonna be Mario picking up that yellow. It's an SGB yellow card when a foul is called.

SGB trial ers are here to help visit SGB dash law dot com as the Sounders will have a free kick here talk about thirty yards out here in LAFC thinking their final change of the night, Eric Duenas and midfielder coming into this game for ili A Sanchez. Ilia Sanchez, a guy who's been in this league for a while, long time with Sporting Kansas City. Such a physical presence and really does steve link up what we've seen the night for LFC.

A really compact, great defensive end with three center backs and a lethal offensive end. And Sanchez controlling all of it from the middle of the park at physical presence. He was great tonight. Yeah, And I think him and at Twesta Compromah are very well, both really really good on the board. Fantastic actually, and they've won that midfield battle in terms of dictating the

tempo of the play and linking their defensive play to the offensive play. And he was a big part of if they've done tonight, him and at Twesta, I think, I mean fantastic, Bolo would take the prodits, but those two in midfield, missing Tilman, who's also when you have more free together, it's a big reason why they can be what they do. But they playton night as if they didn't. They were at for strength and a

lot of credit for that. Most as Sanchez LFC called for offside, the sounders will pick it up here in lafc's half here in the eighty seventh minute, Paul Rothrock now working on that left, trying to get in behind that valve. Given as Paul Rothrock goes down he can kind of getting into it a little bit there with Sergei Valencia. It's l a FC coming away with it. No foul called by Alan Chapman by the way it does. It

does pain me to give praise to Elia Sanchez for years. I mean, just a thorn in the side from not only Kansas City but l A f C as well, And it pains me to what Hugo Louise. I'm a Tottenham fan and watching Hugo Larese have a good game, I just I wish he was with any other team, but l A f C. Yeah, there's such a good team and you can only compliment him, and it hate

a compliment him too much. As they take it away again and they're on the break of three on two finding Bolonga on the left side and he will slow up player Bolonga in absolutely no retch. Seems like no interest to make it for nothing at this point, as Bolonga will just send it back.

Lithuani as the man who just came on. He is fouled by roll rued he has and everybody moving slowly here in the eighty eighth minutes with this a line at three nothing, I think everybody knows the way this game is gone. Yeah. For the Sounders came out second off, gave it their very best shot without again really trubbing the goalkeeper up, but LFC is so clinical, so efficient, and since that third goal, this game hasn't been in doubt. It's just really playing out the crock at this point. And for

the Sounders back to the draining boards to what's the tape on this? You'll learn from it. I do finished a lot of good. You can't take from it. Oh yeah, but it's also an eye opener and just where the bar lies in a Western conference with the LFC team wasn't a final last year. Let's not forget that. It's a team that wasn't a finals, the team that has won before. I've been in the Champions League final. It's a very very good team. I mean, yeah, they won twenty

two MLS Cup. It's about you know, they've been one shield. But of course one of the only things that when they've kind of for a while there became known as the team who just lost finals. They of course lost MLS Cup last year. They lost the Champions League final a couple of years

ago. Balls in the box for already has looking for some space here for the Sounders in the eighty ninth minute, Roll trying to find it over to the right side for al Troldan Rolldan looking to cross it in sending it, but it's headed away from Mario for the foot of Reed Baker Whiting who sends another cross seat and that's chest it down. We'll be down for a Sounders corner here in the eighty ninth minutes and it's what a job by Steve Torontalo

too. I mean obviously was forced into switching to this three four three, changing the entire formation because of a couple injuries to Christian Olivera Timothy Tillman. But this change has certainly worked against Jordan Morris and Albert Rusnak. Tonight it's a limit seattle. As a cross comes in here, the corner headed and that is over the goal. There as a header came in from Jordan Morris and it's just high as Hugo Luris will slowly grab this ball and walk out

before the goal kick. We're into the ninetieth minute here it's LAFC three Sounders zero Emerald Cuecas you know, pitch at lumen Field. A score update presented by Provident Swedish is Danny and Bawanga collecting two goals. Tonight is fifteenth and sixteenth won by a penalty one ya A great throw ball by Kai Kamara and then Mateush Bagosh. Also a great goal in the twenty seventh minute that made it to nothing. That has given LAFC what appears to be a win tonight.

Long ball over the top, trying to get to Jordan Morris Canning get position he can fallings up his foot, but quickly LFC collapse on it. Dishes to Paul Rothrock. Rothrock into the box, back out to Morris Morris who can get to three LAFC defenders a wall they've built, back out to Read Baker Whiting to Rothrock, crossing it in here to the back post and Alex rolled on. That is a cross that goes way over and nearly to the photographer bench. As now we are into added time for Alan Chapman,

Hugo Laris will have this goal kick once again for the Sounders. They will have a break here in MLS action. Leak's Cup coming up here starting on Friday in the group stage. A chance to kind of breathe a little bit, Steve. I wonder how Brian Schpitzer kind of treats League Cup, if he kind of keeps the runout and keeps these guys lace going, you know, and stays with a group like this or if you we look like more

of an open cup group. As this ball is looped over to Jordan Morris, Sounder's trying to get a goal back here in the ninety second minute, Morris working against another instance LAFC wall cross comes in headed away Mazowski trying to get in on it ends up at the foot of Roosnack. Now to rock Rock shot say you elais follow up my road? It is that is hit

wide and it ends up going out for a goal kick. A furious chance there, as a great say from Hugo Larise suspect nothing less from the legend of the English Premier League, the French National as he keeps Seattle out of the back of the nets. What a chance there, Steve's that go on? Well that about sums up I mean rosaurt cases as well as you can.

Laris is a fantastic save. The attack kept going. Sound is going to board back in a thinking edis Bogus who puts over the ball from about two or three odds and it just listen when it's not your night, it's just not your knight. And what's a sake by Laris has to be said. Ah's tremendous. What a play from Hugo Larisse. See you will send this one along here? See how much extra time? Alan Chatman ads because LFC leads Seattle three nothing and LAFC will have a throw now where sounder,

excuse me, won't have a throw out? No, it is owner say here in the ninety third Ryan Hollings had to take it. No, Rush throws it in. Oh, back on to an LAFC foot Paul Rothrock, we'll draw a foul for LAFC. Here. It looked like Rothrock was going harsh against Eric Duaneus, but he earns the foul. Sounders looking to play maybe fast out of Albert Rusnak, Yes, sending it long into the box

for Jordan Morris, just sit down, bringing it around. It's Alex Roldan off to the right, hold on, getting positioned, crossing it in. It's off hauling said, and it will be out for a Sounders throw here. So we hit the ninety fourth minute here at looming field, al Troldan, will he send it long? Will you send it short and send it long into the box for Jordan Morris, Just sit down, back yield bargas roll head it off the line. Oh Palencia clears the ball off the line

in what was surely a Sounder's goal. Now Jackson Reagan shot the fucked it out for a goal kick to fuck it, buy a body in Rave Green and then we'll wind up with a goalkick for Hugo Larise. But that chance for all Ruy Diaz that Valencia headed off the line. I mean, it's what you said a couple of minutes ago, Steve, when it's not your night, it's not your night. That right there. Another spectacular defensive play

by the visitors. Yeah it was, And again it sound as what's it well, just trying to get a constellation, trying to give these fans at least something to head home. Cheering about the fans you will still here in the stadium. But LFC have made every rank play today. Everything's gone their way and they've also earned and created old rock as well. And they look like them believing Lumanfield not just put a free points in a win, but

also to tea sheet here. So just everything the luck is all giving the LFC side tonight skills certainly, as they have flexed their muscles tonight. One of the top teams in the West. Sounder's still pushing here into the ninety fifth minute. Where's Jackson Reagan workings way into the final third. Will he shoot again? No, they'll have the ball taken away and it looks like Sounders now getting the ball back. Here's cross Mobed Marcas and another save from

Hugo Larise. The cross from Movet Danny Mazowski put it on target and Hugo Lurise chaping the clean sheet again for LAFC. Just an amazing game from the Tottenham legend. And there is the final whistle from referee Alan Chapman. One to forget for your Sounders. Three nothing loss here at laf against LAFC here at loomin Field. A tough losses. They will now go in to the Leagus Cup break. Leagu's Cup will begin on Friday against Minnesota United. ML's

action will continue next month also against Minnesota. But Steve, this is the match to move on from three nothing. What are your final thoughts? Yeah, you do, I think for the Sounders take you on the chune Less and Leone. This is a very very very good team you face today and you have to learn from me again. You take a little bit of the quote that you can, but on the whole they will outclass. The game plan from LFC was fantastic, did everything absolutely right, and we have a

player at Buanga at any moment to scored a gold. You sort of difference with that tonight, he said, Welds doing by LFC here. It is three nothing here tonight at Luminfield over your Sounders, who are now ten wins, eight losses, seven draws, still sixth place in the Western Conference. That's the good news. It will still have a chance to get higher in the final stretch of this season. But that eight match on beaten streak, the six straight wins, that comes to an end tonight here against LAFC.

Sounders FC Soccer is brought to you by Robin and Swedish official healthcare partner of Seattle Sounders FC. The Sounders FC postmatch show starts now. Welcome into the Sounders FC postmatch show here at Lumenfield as the Sounders fall three

zero to the LAFC. Well fellas. Not often do we see the Sounders get outclassed in every aspect of the game on their home field, but we saw that tonight with LAFC just fully dominating first half. Kind of things went their way. Sounders tried to make adjustments in the second half, ended up playing right into their hands. They just hit us on the counter. With one more goal from Wowonga, who was once again the difference maker tonight with

two goals. Lamar break down what you saw from the second half. Sounders with a little bit of sustained pressure to open the half, but nothing to show for it. Yeah, it was what you expected leading into the second half. They're up, lafc's up to zero. They were able to sit back even more and just play on the counter and hopefully get some possession up

top. First fifteen minutes they didn't get out of their half. I thought the Sounders, you know, it's very hard for a team to sit with sustained pressure on them for forty five minutes and not give up a goal. So in the first fifteen minutes, I thought, we got to get something. There has to be some break. We got to get a lucky bounce or something like that. It didn't happen. They're able to, you know, counter a little bit, get a little bit of possession further up the

field. As time went on past that fifteen minutes and then they bring on Kai, who you know is obviously going to be able to hold the ball up really well, and they get that break. Pretty frustrating, I think, not being able to score when a team sits back and parks the bus. That's been pretty difficult for the Sounders for a while now. Having somebody that you know, maybe on the outside, goes at somebody one on one

or gets the ball and keeps going at him. That's what I would like to see, is because I'm a winger, right, I want to see wingers go at people one on one, beat somebody and then make pull out defenders, take shots from distance, that sort of thing. He talked about the tactical changes that you wanted to see in the second half or your evaluations for how that looked. Well. I think he made some subs also and that changed the game just a little bit, added a little bit of life.

You know, Reid moves back to left back. I think he was a bit more impactful from a deeper position, something that Schmetz will have to think about, you know, as this season kind of unfolds, and how he wants to play. I mean, any time you play against a team here and you're up to nothing. Like Lamar said, they're happy to absorb pressure and if they can withstand that for fifteen to twenty minutes, then you know that they're gonna have to keep pushing. They're gonna get tired, and

that's when you catch them on the brink. I mean, everything worked out in Lafc's hands tonight. They caught him on the break with Bouwonga with a fantastic finish, and as soon as Kai picked it up, you could see there was one thing on his mind. He knew exactly where Boo Woga was without even having to look up. And Jackson's caught no man's land and read not quick enough to catch up to Bowanga. No one is so tech.

But you know, a couple half chances in the second half, yes, but not enough to say that the Sounders really put LAFC under any real day. I mean at the end there, like we were talking about, was you know a stoppage time save from from last and you know, but that's never gonna happen when you're down three to nothing. Yeah, he played Superman there in the last five minutes, made some crazy saves, but wasn't really

tested until at a time was put on the clock. So Brad I got a question, Yeah, what do you think the solution is for when a team parks the bus. What do the Sounders need to do differently? I think you go two up top, for sure. I think you go two up, you go straight, three to five two, and you get the

ball into wide areas and you just swing in balls. Because at every single practice when we played offense versus defense, the last that's the worst practice of the year is when all four of us are sitting back there and we're just getting peppered with crosses and the attackers are coming at us NonStop. And it's the same in a game like if if if LAFC is gonna sit back there with five and the Sounders aren't gonna wip balls in, I'm happy. If

I'm LAFC. Everything's in front of me. I don't have to turn around and face my own goal. But we saw it against Saint Louis. We scored the first goal from getting down at the end line. It's whipping a ball in, and in the first half there was a couple where the ball came in and we won the knockdown. And sometimes it's not about the first ball. It's about the second ball, it's about the third ball. It's about the sustained pressure that happens when you do swing in the ball. And

tonight the service just wasn't good enough. Yeah, no, I agree. I mean something has to change, right. You can't have one guy sitting up top and then just have possession to be passing it around the outside of the box. Yeah, one v three with three center backs on him too. You're not my favorite job as a center back. I also think taking shots from distance, and that's the first thing where all did. Yeah, as soon as he got in he touched the ball, you knew he wanted

to shoot. He was about thirty out. But at least that might start to draw players out if there is some danger from outside and then there might be the space to pass through. And that was the first shot on goal for Sounders against Hugo Lories today, who was good, especially in the last couple of minutes. But Delta Airlines is proud to donate one soccer ball for every mile ram by Sounders FC players this season through the Ray Foundations One Mile,

One Ball program. Fellows don't want to see if you guys think if this is a one off in a good run of form and just came up against a good team tonight that was ready to play against you, or there's something deeper where a good team you know, you've paid against some probably lesser teams for sure in the last ten or so games, I would say, and Brian needs to make some adjustments going up against the stronger side. Yeah,

well, it's always difficult. I mean the Sounders, yes, have been in a very good run of form, but I, like I said in pregame, we haven't seen the best of the Sounders yet. And for LAFC, it's kind of the obverse. It's they've had a very very good season. They sit in first place in the West once again. And so if we thought that we were just going to come in here, yes we're in a good run of form and really put it on an LAFC team, then we've got the season wrong already. And I think that this is an

eye opener for the guys. It's an eye opener for the coaches to say, yes, have we made progress? Absolutely? Are we where we want to be? No? And that is now. The measuring stick is LAFC and the Galaxy as well. La Galaxy. You are about to win against Portland. So there are still teams in the upper echelon of this Western Conference, and there's a lot of work for this Sounders team to secure a top

four spot. Because Schmid said, supporter shields out of the question, we just want to focus on trying to get a home game that requires a top four finish. I think if you can find a solution to you know, when a team parks the bus and you can find goals in that, then that's going to make other teams have to change. Right If LAFC knows that they can do that away at our home and still come out with a victory

like this, then they're all too happy to do that. I think if you find that, I don't think this is like a dire thing that we lost three zero. Honestly, a PK ball goes out great strike off of a set piece, so then you're down to zero and then it turns into this type of game that they love to play. So I think you find a solution for teams parking the bus and you score some goals that way, then that brings them out and we're in a fine space and it's not just

LAFC. They just provided a blueprint for other teams that can come in and have success against the Sounders. So how do they make that adjustment run? Well, I think it's different. I think early on in the season you saw teams come in here and park the bus and the Sounders had no solution. But then you get halfway through a season and the teams that the Sounders played were all desperate for wins. Right. We didn't play top teams throughout

the course of the last two months. We played teams that if they don't win, the coach is getting fired. You can't just come into Seattle then and park the bus and hope to get a tie. A tie does no good for the teams that we have already played. So yes, if a winning team that wants to chase for the shield in you know, September October, if the Galaxy come here, yeah, they can sit back and say, okay, we think we can get a point here, right, and

we can keep them off the board. So I think there's a couple teams that the blueprint works for, but all the other teams everyone needs points. It's too tight. Yeah, Sounders FC Soccers Breneta presented by Provident, Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders FC. We'll come back take a little bit of

a bigger picture moving forward for the Sounders. As the Sounders fall three zero to LAFC Fellas with this result, the Sounders could have today if they had come out with a win, gone all the way up to fourth place in the Western Conference, but they sit at seventh place at this point in time. Minnesota comes in next week and they're in ninth, so there's gonna be a little bit a bit of a battle there for the end of the playoff spots as we move in towards the kind of final third

of the season here. But I want to take a deeper conversation into what Lamar and you guys were talking about last segment about teams that try and park the bus on the Sounders, because it seems like that's kind of a blueprint for how to frustrate this team, especially creating chances and getting balls in behind. To someone like Jordan Morris, who that's kind of what he thrives on.

Yeah, well, if you remember, the Sounders got their result when Carlos Vella was at his peak in the playoffs in La with by playing five in the back essentially, and so yes, it works. It's very frustrating for any offensive opponent. Is there an easy way to break teams down when it's five, three and two or however they're gonna set up. No, but yes, it is a conscious decision for a team that's chasing, you know, a supporter shield to come in here and say, we can afford

to play with three center backs and then see what happens. Right, We'll see what happens if we get out of there. We know, we know that we can probably keep them off the board, and then if we're gonna score on the other end, we trust our attackers. And so for them, it was a tactical adjustment to come in here and say we're gonna try this and see if it works. And sure enough, it did tonight.

So Lamar, my question to you is is that an in game adjustment that Brian needs to make or is that something where he needs to prepare his team in a different way going forward. Well, I think it's something you gotta address and have everybody understand. Okay, if they are parking the bus, if we do see this, then that signals an in game change. But you're not gonna know. You might have an idea that LAFC. Okay, they tend to do this, but like a Minnesota coming in, you know,

their first intention probably isn't parking the bus. So if it happens in game, okay, now we switch to it. Now we know what the solutions are, we know what the triggers are if we start to see Yeah, and I just want to go one more thing here. Let's take one positive at least from this game. I want each of you to get one for me. What was your positive takeaway from this game? There? Brad, Oh, jeez, are gonna put me on the spot. Look, well, guys stayed healthy. Yeah, and this is a team that's never

gonna quit even if it is two or three nothing. They know that the fans come out for a reason. You know, it was good to see Pedro on the field, and it's just unfortunate with this. You know, when we played, there was no oh, you ran this much, so then you can only you have to come off at halftime, like if a guy's feeling good, let him play, I don't you know, and you need to get these guys minutes and get him going. And so I understand

that the whole sports scientist thing has changed the game quite a bit. So it was good to see him back out there. I don't see definitely haven't seen the best of him just yet, and it's gonna take some time. But hopefully the league's couple see more of him and he'll get some more games

under his belt with some good competition and stay healthy. So you know, the guys stayed healthy, showed fight, but not too many positives because you close out such a great run with an unfortunate loss to a top tier contender, like you said, could have been in fourth place, and now you find yourself down in seventh and the pack is just even tighter and every point is so valuable. Lamar, Yeah, I mean it's it's hard to find

a positive three zero. You have a lot of possession, but they're giving you possession, so you can't really count that, right, right, Yeah, guys getting good minutes and staying healthy. I thought the subs came on and did a good job, even though you know, we didn't get a goal. But I always love to see Rothrock running around and giving a good effort. Yeah, it's good to see that they tried to make some tactical adjustments. It's just when you start going down to zero, it's gonna fall

right into lafc's hands. All right, Well, come back and take a look ahead to Minnesota United on the Sounders FC post match show on Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFM HI. Welcome back Sounders fans to the Sounders FC post

match show here at Lumenfield. Does the Seattle Sounders drop a match three zero to LAFC. Let's look ahead to Minnesota United guys, and a busy schedule continues for Sounders FC as two League's Cup matches come before the next MLS match against Minnesota United as well, so three matches with two of them coming against

Minnesota United, so kind of seeing the same opponent multiple times. Does a result like this, I want to ask, does it garner a little bit of open competition for some spots in the team, especially with two Leagues Cup

matches coming up? Yeah, for sure. With Leagus Cup coming up, I think you'll see a mix because I think the main focus right now is Open Cup and obviously you know the regular season, So I think League's Cup you'll see a good mix, especially it gets a Minnesota side that's struggling.

Yeah, I don't think Minnesota has the luxury of throwing all their eggs into that basket in League's Cup, because if they pick up one or two injuries, then their whole season is a wash and they're on the cusp right now, kind of like the Sounds were about two months ago, where if they get four or five results, they could be back in the mix. So I think you'll see a mixed line up here on Friday night. And you know, but yeah, that opens the door for guys who haven't played too

much. But there's a lot of guys on this roster that haven't played a lot that are very good players. Right, You're gonna be able to start a Roth Rock, Ruy Diez, Jonathan Bell, Alex Roldn Mussovski, Leo Chiu. All these guys are high quality players that have seen a lot of minutes. Good thing more healthy going into this tournam now to mention guys that are fighting for starting spots, right Lamar, Yeah, and it's an I

think it's an exciting opportunity. We talked about in the pre match that Schmitzer doesn't know whose top eleven is. This is an opportunity for those guys to really show in a good competition. So this gives them an opportunity to shine. Should be an interesting one. We got six thirty pre game with Jackson Felts at seven thirty. Announced kickoff here at Sports Are Sorry at EQC pitch at lumen Field. That'll be an interesting one on Friday. I want to

do one more quick one here with this results. It's tough to kind of know exactly what going on in that locker room down with Brian Schmitzer and the guys. But is this one of those situations where you want to analyze everything what went wrong? Or is this a flushit behind you kind of one off situation and hopefully you come out and have a kind of new slate going forward. I think Schmitz will be in there and say, look, we got

out played tonight, and but we have to shake this one off. And he'll say that we have a lot of work to do, and we're gonna watch film and we're gonna get back to work. He'll say that this is too good of a group to suffer a three nothing loss at home. The fans deserve better, but most importantly the players do because they have put in so much work to even get to the position where they're having a chance to

fight for fourth place in the West. So, yes, you kind of have to brush it off, but this will be a week where everyone's gonna have to take a step back and look at how they kind of got to that point tonight. Yeah, I bet it's like a somber mood. Right. Three zero at home anytime is going to be pretty difficult to swallow.

But honestly, like I was saying, the goals pk to start, then off the set piece a rebound, like it wasn't that bad to where Okay, everything needs to be looked at. They need to find some solutions for scoring goals and that's kind of it.
