Welcome to the Sounders FC pre mat Show presented by Providence Swedish. Tonight from the Emerald Queen Casino Bitch at lumen Field, your Seattle Sounders FC FACEFC Dallas. Tonight's matt just presented by Regents Blueshieu, where you'll feel supported every step of the way. Together we help the Provident Swedish pre mat show starts now.
Well, it's real simple. Tonight win or seasons over s game three of the first round of the MS Cup Playoffs, and tonight at Lumenfield, you're Seattle Sounders once again facing FC Dallas, this time with the winner advancing to the Western Conference Semifinals against LAFC in a couple weeks. Welcome into the Sounders FC pre match Show, presented by Providence Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders FC. Jackson felt here alongside Diego Audio, Epete Viewing and Lamar Nagel.
We're here for the next half hour breaking down Game three before Danny Jackson, Brad Evans, Michelle luck To have the call for Sounders in Dallas. There is a lot to get to. We're going to change around the pre match show. We'll explain why here in just a moment. But we do start by looking back a moment to game two three to one loss, a match where it could have been very different in the second half had a certain call
gone the Sounders way diego. But ultimately as we look to this game three, it is because of what we saw game two where last weekend Dallas, as Brian Schmitzer told or here on kJ Hard just a few minutes ago, got punched in the jaw in those first twenty minutes Dallas gets two early goals and the Sounders lose Game two there over the weekend. Yeah, I mean, and he was definitely a different game versus game one here in ad Luman.
The good news is that with this format we're back here right another opportunity and also getting the Sounders to play at home and hopefully, you know, with the same line up, the same consistency that they showed on game one. Even though the FC Dallas had a few opportunities in the half of that first game, I think the Seattle sound there's need to dominate from minute one tonight. Yeah, no question, they can't start slow. They got to
get the crowd into the game. We're supposed to get some rain around eight o'clock tonight, and hopefully that is no fun for Dallas as they're used to the hot climate. And so I think Seattle cannot afford to do what they did in the last two games, really, because we were fortunate Prearrah had a couple of good chances. Frey came up with a huge save in the first game, and then I think I think he forced Preyer to go up and over the crossbar on the second one. But we could have started the
first game at home down to nothing as well. So they've got to be tight defensively from the beginning and then put them under pressure right away. Yeah, I think it's it'll be interesting to watch how the Sounders start and how Dallas starts right that high press that they used before, do they do that while they're away? But also they know they got off to the right foot, as you guys were saying in the first two games, So are they
going to press immediately and how do the Sounders react to that? Well, it is going to be an exciting game three here tonight. Let's quickly before we dig into the rest of the pre match show, let's quickly dive into the Delta, starting eleven for the Seattle Sounders. Peat viewing, Ryan Schmetzer puts out a very familiar four two three to one. Fry in goal,
Alex Vildanz, you're right back, Gomez androde Reagan. Your center backs knew who your left back and back in front of the back four JP Jel, Paulo Atensio on the right hand side, Christian rolled On on the left hand side, Chew and then Russneck will sit right under Jordan Morris. And your substitutes for Seattle includes Stephan Cleveland, Javier Ariaga, Cody Baker, Kellan Rowe, O, Bet Vargas, Nicholas Ladero, Roll Ruy Diez, a Bear,
and Freddie Montero. Now, just about ten minutes ago, I'm standing in the line to wait for my coffee and Diego comes up to me and he says, have you seen Dallas's lineup? He said, no, I'm I'm gonna get it here in just a moment, and he showed me the lineup which he's gonna read here in a moment, and the entire pre match outline that I had done this morning kind of gets ripped up a little bit. So Diego, why don't you give us the Dallas lineup, and then
we are going to talk FC Dallas. Definitely, I mean really surprising right what they're coming with their starry eleven Martin pass goalkeeping line of four center back Ibagan Tafari on the right back to Massi Junqua on the left back in the midfield Yarramenri Fraser. We have Polar Riola Camungo on the right side and then Pomical and Kare Obrian on top. So in FC Dallas put up four four two, but then we're looking at formations with with pviewing and it's more like
a four three to two one correctly. That's it's we'll see how that shift's doing the game of us. Put the headline there and the name that you're probably wondering, wait, where was that name? Hey sus Ferira. Twelve goals on the year leading FC Dallas. He is their playmaker. He is their star. He is an outstanding player. Two chances in game one, didn't get either of them in the back of the net, scored the penalty.
He's their primary penalty kicktaker. He is an outstanding talent United States men's national team. He is out tonight with a lower body injury. Heyesu's farra out tonight. So usually in this first second we talk sounders and we go hard on sounders. We're talking FC Dallas because this changes the entire complexion of this game. When Dallas now plays Obrion up top, No, heesus Ferrera
diego, We'll go around the room here. This changes a lot of what Dallas is gonna try to do in this game, we think, not only offensively but defensively. Yeah, completely right, And Jazus ferreda is it's their playmaker, the guy who scored twelve goals six assists, Right, he's leads all the statistics offensive wise. But also what you were saying, Jackson, how it just the game completely changes because now we'll see FC doll As being
more vertical when they have the ball. They wanted to have that player who's gonna hold it and try to pass it to their teammates or try to open spaces. So definitely, I think we'll see an FC Dallas really more compact, more defensive that we were expecting. And then I think also he changes for branch Metza, right, like the strategy now having a more defensive team that's going to be tried to be tight he unpacked in the back. Right, These games kinda make us all nervous. We're home, right, we're
supposed to win. It's do or die. When you're talking about his shoe's not being on the field, like I instantly think of Patrick Ewing. They call it the Ewing rule. When Ewing was out of the game, all the team around him rallied, right, And so when Patrick Ewing wasn't playing, everybody steps up, So no pressure on Dallas. They're home, they're they're coming to our home. And now they're top players out, so that
even leaves a little less pressure. And they've got Obrion is good right, he's got six goals, five assists, he can score pony called underneath good right. So it's still gonna be eleven versus. I remember talking to Brian Spetzer when when Clint Dempsey left and opah Femmy Martin's and he was kinda we were on air with Michelle and I said, well, you're still gonna start with eleven, right, and he goes, yeah, we'll still play eleven.
So there's still eleven guys out there, and yes they've lost their top guy, but that's a rally probably for the team as well. That was exactly my thought immediately when I heard he was out. It was Okay, who's gonna step up? And what is a mentality like for those guys now on the bench. Yeah, like you just said, I've been on the Sounders with really good players. When those guys were out, it was an
opportunity for everybody else to prove themselves. And they also weren't waiting for this magical moment from these players, So you have to do it yourself so it'll be interesting. Like you were saying, they're gonna get stretched over the top. That's something that they got to adjust a little bit more for now. You may not have that. You know, number ten, he's gonna make something magic, but you can get caught pretty easy too. So you're just
joining us here. You're listening to the Sounders FC Providence. We just prematch show Sounders Dallas game three kicking off in just around twenty five minutes or so here on ninety three point three KJR FM. You're just joining us. Dallas's star playing there. Hees Whu's Ferra out with a lower body injury. We're switching this around and we're doing our sharp vision opponent Alec. Right now, we'll quickly give the stats as we always do on Dallas. They finished the
regular season eleven ten and thirteen, seventh place in the Western Conference. They're playing the two seeds Seattle here. Forty six points on the season for them, just a few behind Seattle. They were nine unbeaten to end the regular season before their first first game loss to Seattle a couple of weeks ago. Then, as we know, they got that win their last weekend against Seattle.
I'll mention it quickly. They scored the same amount of goals as Seattle in the regular season at forty one they were second in the Western Conference and goals conceded at thirty seven. Seattle was first at thirty two. They're a good defensive team. And I think that's the point Lamar Pete that you just mentioned here when it comes to rallying around missing a guy here a it's as you mentioned, lack of pressure, but also the sense of this is an
outstanding defense. Still where in Diego comment you first, we can go around the room again, where if this team decides to play in even a mid to low block and just say all right, we're okay with penalties. We have no pressure on us because we know our best players out anyway, then this is a great defense. The Sounders will have to figure out a way to break down. Yeah, definitely, And I think that now that's what
it changes, and that's the risk for the Sounders. How well, they need to be really patient with the ball right, really intense and aggressive as well. But I think they need they need to show show why they're home and why you know they're a better team than FC Dallas. But to your point FC Dallas, it's a good team overall. And also just mentioning right, like you don't have us Ferreda who is their best player, but also Alam Belasco, who is like the best younger player from from the team like
the season, got injured in that first game. You also don't have a far fun who's being also like really consistent. He's not playing also because of injuries. So those players that a Lamar was mentioning like younger players, now they they're poised to show here at lumin like you know against you know, a championship team that they can you know they can win it. Right. Komongo had so far fan out come on go in and the last one.
Comongo did really well against you who they frustrated them a little bit and kicked the ball and then he took them down on n foul. So that if i'm if I'm as of his coaching this team, I would have started Kamongo over far Fan anyway, because I thought he did a great job against Newho had the last one. So yeah, it's it's a little bit tricky. You lose a great player like that, you're a leader. But there's more guys, like you said Lamart in the locker room. Ember he's fired up,
right, They're like, Hey, I get my chance. Hey, we're gonna win this and we're gonna go on. And then they're coming here and they're playing Seattle, Yeah and possibly one of the biggest games that these young guys could yeah possibly playing, So they are going to be motivated. I think this is a very dangerous team. When I was walking in before I knew forever that I thought that they might do a high press. Now I don't know. From the beginning you're talking about Diego's talking about a low
block. That's where a lot of teams had their success against the Sounders in the last two years. Yeah, when you do a low block, you make them break them break you down. I think I think Sounders want a team that's gonna come out here and play and we're gonna play to the audience and the crowd, and we're gonna get riled up and we're gonna be able to catch him. If they look sit in a low block, we got
a break that down. And that's what scares me because we've seen the Sounders a number of times facing that and in a number of times that has not gone perfectly well. So for guys like Jordan Morris starting up top and Russ Knack at the ten spot and Leo on the left and Christian all the right, when those guys getting that final third, you need to make passes that
are pinpoint perfect to make sure you are able to get past that. But if they play like that, they could still play normal Dallas soccer, the high press. That's what Nico Estevez likes to do. So it will be a question, but you know what you know, Komungo has scored on Seattle before. Obrion scored in the eighty ninth minute down there in Dallas last week. Yes, they've lost Allen Velasco. Yes, They've lost Ferrera for a night, but this is still a good team with players that have scored on
Seattle well. Tonight's opponent, Alec was presented by Sharp Vision, Modern lask and Lens, the official Lasik provider of Sounders FC. We are switching out the pre match show that was normally our second segment. We're gonna switch back. We're gonna talk some Seattle Sounders talk about the advantage of the fact that this is a same lineup for the third consecutive game. What Seattle can do offensively here tonight, what they're going to do defensively after giving out three goals
to Dallas last week in game two. A lot to get to. We're gonna hear from Alix trol Don. We'll get to some keys to the match history here against Dallas, which is very very good. All before kickoff. It comes up in about twenty five minutes here on Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFM. At Providence, we're saying yes to the youth of our community

This is the first round of the playoffs or your Sounders. It is do or die here against FC Dallas. Winner goes on to the Western Conference Semifinals against LAFC. For the loser, the
season is over, shouldn't. If this match is tight after ninety minutes, it will go straight to penalty gigs no added thirty minutes straight to penalties. So that is certainly something Brian Spencer is going to have to manage tonight. If you're just joining us. Heyeshu's Ferira, star player for FC Dallas, man who scored twelve goals six assists on the season. He is out with a lower body injury. For the Sounders. They start the same starting eleven
as the previous two games. There the same eleven for Brian Spenser. I will quickly note in the our Providence Swedish team health report that reed Baker Whiting was questionable with a hamstring strand that he suffered on decision Day. He's not available tonight. He is still out. Tonight's team health report, presented by Providence Swedish Official Healthcare partner of Sounders FC. But let's talk some sounders.
After we did our sharp version opponent outlook on Dallas the last segment talking all about Hayesus Ferra being out, Let's talk sounders because Diego and of course we have Diego audio ap viewing Lamar Nagel here. Get every Sega on this because it does seem to be an advantage for Seattle in the sense that you're starting the same on line up for a third consecutive game, and that cohesiveness,
that consistency, it's a great thing to have here. Yeah, definitely, you know, consistency, right is the key were that we're looking here in Ranch matter is giving that opportunity again to the same eleven and also trusting that this eleven is the one that you know can can pull this off right from the ghet go. You have really experienced players and we know right on the bench that you know Nicolo Vero rolready as but I think with this eleven they
show that they've been pretty solid. We see Jordan Mori is also scoring in both games, so he's he's also that number nine or that they say new number ninety season right for Ranch Metzer, who who really is showing in the playoffs, and I think tonight it's also I think you have to forget about what happened in Dallas and really try to remember that the game that you played in game one, right, because the game one, even though we mentioned
and people was mentioning those two, I would say opportunities that Jesus Ferreira had and was able to score, and he could, he didn't capitalize. But Saunders in general, like especially second half, were really dominant and they really owned the game right, and they have the intensity and they were playing good
soccer. So I think they really need to come back, and especially being at Lumen and in front of their crowd, because again it's it's way or go home, right, So let's say ninety minutes or peaks as you ever mentioning Jackson, and then that could be it. Yeah, I know they're expecting a great crowd tonight, thirty three thousand. I know the head coach
was real pleased about that, and the staff. I think today, you know, if they do the low block that Lamar is talking about, JP's switching, the point of attack is really important to catch them before they get all those numbers behind the ball and let's get Christian Roldon and Alex Roldon involved. And then going back to that first game, knew who was effective getting forward, especially in the second half, so getting him involved. But you
got to play ninety minutes. You can't give anything away in the middle of the park. They don't have maybe the counteract counter attack capabilities without hey Seu's in there. But they've got to make sure they don't give anything away. Restarts are always important, right for us and for them, and they've got they've got to start fast, start the way they did the last game.
Yeah, consistency with the lineup is huge obviously for those players getting those reps in together, but also the confidence that that shows that the coach has in these players moving forward with Diego. The people that you mentioned on the bench are massive players, so that gives the eleven on the field confidence, but it also gives confidence that, Okay, if something needs a little bit of a change, we got some firepower coming off the bench. And one of
those massive names on the bench, Nicholas Ladero. One of the big conversations that I mean, my friends and peep out at training and we're just all talking throughout the week. We're questioning is it Leo Chu or is it Nicholas Ladaro? And that was the interesting question I think going into this game was what do you do? Do you start? I mean, really, Nicholas Ludaro has made it clear this is his finally you with the Sounders. This
is right now a winner go home game. So theoretically there is a universe in the multiverse where this is Nicholas Ladero is last game in Rave Green. Do you start him a legend with the club or do you start Leo Chu?
A debated going again go around the room became a very interesting one and Brian does go with Leo Chu. But it had to have been a conversation not definitely, right, And I mean especially you're talking about Nicolodeo, right, the former captain who was able to bring team to the first MLS Cup or ever right when he joined the club and just like what he means to
to everyone in the locker room. Definitely, that debate is you know, it's it's for obvious reasons, right, And I think also the debate comes because Leo Chu, at least in the last couple of games, he hasn't performed as he was he you know, he was playing before the playoffs, right, he had really a good season in general, but I think the last few games then you start questioning if you changed a bit this strategy and
bring an experience, experienced player like Nicolodeo who can pull the strings, that would be a completely different game. But yeah, I think I think Brian Schmetzer is going with you know what he believes and especially giving the opportunity to this young player loo Chow to have that another chance. Well, and he's explained it to Leo as well. You got to do the job, right. Yeah. The great thing is when Nico came on the field back here
in the first game, things changed. It got better defensively, believe it or not. Ladero is better than Shoo right cuts angles and picks off passes. So I love the fact that they can ratchet it up a notch by bringing Ladero on. I think he made the right decision. Brian said yesterday he doesn't sub that much at halftime, but this is that game that if he needs to make a change at halftime, I bet he wouldn't and Nico would relish the opportunity. I loved how he came onto the field in the
first game. He came on with some vim and vigor and leadership. So he's a great spark coming off the bench. Absolutely just showed character. Yes, right, if this is your last game, in your last stretch, Harvard, and you came on the field and made a difference. The I
love that he did. Give Leo Chow an opportunity. That show's confidence even though last few games maybe not as good as the ones previously, but still showing confidence and moving forward what you can do, I think, Yeah, I mean having Ladero Ladero coming off the bench and still performing better is better than a Ladero being on the field and then having to make the seven. Put Leo Chu on. Yeah, yeah, Ladaro can close it out way
better. That's that's that's a great chip to have as a coach in to be able to put the deep body a deep to him onto the field and then to be game savvy if need be. So this is a chip that you can play at multiple times during the game. So I think it's a great call, A great point, Lamar. Well, we'll see how Brian Schenzer plays this chess match tonight here for Seattle. We're just about fifteen minutes

Pitch at Lolomanfield. Tonight's count down to Kickoff, presented by Emerald Queen Casino, the entertainment capital of the Northwest. Just a little bit of Go Sounders, right back,
starting again. Alex SHRULDN had the chance to sit down with our own Michelle Ludca taking on Dallas again tonight, third time in less than two weeks. How does the strategy and preparation change when you're so familiar with an opponent and facing them in such a short amount of time. Yeah, I mean, I think what might be kind of annoying and playing the same team three times in a row might offer a little bit more explanation to where things went wrong.
We have a ton of footage from playing them in these last two games that we've kind of tried to figure out what went wrong and what went right, and trying to focus on the things that went right and obviously correct the things that went wrong, and we're looking to come out in this game in the first fifteen minutes be the key, the keys of to that. The future of the rest of the season holds kind of in the balance of the
outcome of tonight's tonight's match. Does that change the mentality all or or your mindset when you take the pitch in a match like this, knowing that so much is on the line. Yeah, I mean it's it's do or die from here, right, and I think that really fuels most of these guys here that come out and step on that field. We know that it's in our hands, especially with Saint Louis being now, it's in our control to
post every game until the final, depending on what happens. But it's in our hands to go out there and perform and make sure that we can continue this playoff run and hopefully have a successful season. Alex always appreciate the time and the insight. Thank you so much. Good luck tonight, Thank you appreciate it. So it's up there, Al Troldan with Michelle Ludko, we transition here back to our Sounders FC players to watching that diego. I'll start
with you who you're looking at from Seattle. I'm gonna go. We were talking about consistency, so I want to go with the Christian roll done right. Ever since he has been back to the team after the injury he's been this is such a difference right for the team, not only because he's the one who runs the most, likes to to play and enable their players and
use that right side of a right flank. I think christ and tonight als is gonna be key, especially to open up that that block right if they sit back, it's gonna be really key to to use the wings, and Christian can do that, and he can also uh you know, you add that pressure on top to win some some balls. I think, Uh first, I'm gonna say this, Jackson Reagan scored a great header yesterday in practice, dominant, forceful header on a restart, So I'd like to use him,
but I'm not. I want to go Josh Utensio because I think he's been really good and I think he's due. I think you could feel his confidence growing. Lamar's point about, you know, tryan taking chew and showing the confidence in him. He's done the same thing with Utensio and I just think he's gonna reward Brian Tonight with something great, whether it's offense or defense. But I think he's gotten better and better and he's really grown into this
season great choices. I think I could say Christian for every single game because I think he it's his team and he's the heart of it offensively, defensively, just he gives everything. But I'm gonna go with Jordan Morris, being a former outside man who got put at the number nine. I think just watching his evolution and seeing him thrive in that space, I love it. And he's confident. He scored a bunch of goals. This is big time.
This is he's got to take this opportunity and really really just make the most of it. He's got two games and the two goals are the first two games, so he's spot up below. Yeah, I'm going Albert Russknak. If they do play in that mental low block, then it's gonna come down to the guy Poll in the strings and Albert roller Russnak in that number ten spot. They're gonna need to find these pinpoint perfect passes to be able
to slip through Dallas defenders. Find the right spots at the right moments to be able to get guys in position to be gol dangerous to get one in the back of the net, especially early tonight. We'll take one more break here in the prematch show. We'll come back with the keys to the match as we're just a few minut it's away from kickoff Sounders Dallas. It starts soon on sports radio in ninety three point three KJRFM. I don't know about

Seattle leads that series fourteen, eight and ten. In the playoffs, they have met so many times in the playoffs. Sounders also lead that series five to three and two. Should be noted, Dallas hasn't won a game here at Lumenfield. Knock on every piece of wood
you can find. Dallas hasn't beaten Seattle here at Luminfield since two thousand and eleven. It has been a while. Hopefully that continues here. Let's wrap it up the prematch show with some keys to the match. Diego will start with you, what are you looking for? Yeah? I want to see definitely the first twenty minutes and different fro that happened Game two, right that
FC Dollas came and scored two goals. I want to see the Sounders showing up in those first first twenty minutes, first half to be really intense too, to play their game and also try to score early, because I think that's gonna also dictate a lot of the game. If they cannot score early enough, then we'll see ft ballas trying to, you know, to pull back and that could you know, it would be difficult at the end of the full ninety I'm with you to score early. That's a great recipe.
I think using the flanks very important. Get Christian involved, get Alex involved, getting around and knew who getting around Shoe, and then get Jordan Morris right down the middle of the field, right down the middle of the six, get him the service that he needs. And then restarts are going to be very important. Ncozi Toafari's gotten four goals from Dallas three assists. Those are all on restarts, so they've got to be sharp restart wise, and
then they've just got to play great. To Diego's point, early goal takes a lot of pressure off the Sounders. Unanimous good start. Get Jordan in the game early and get him comfortable because he's going to be a factor. Absolutely, So it's very simple for the Sounders win. The season's over, it's the game is a tie after ninety minutes. It will go to penalty kicks. Winter Penalties will play in the Western Conference semifinals. If the Sounders
go through, they will host LAFC. Dallas pulls the upset, Dallas will go to Los Angeles. That is what is at stake in this first round, Game three of the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs. FC. Now time for Sounders Fcsucker Good evening Sounders fans from EQUC Pitch at Lumenfield for this the final game of the first round series of the MLS Playoffs between Your Sounders and SC Dallas. With both teams winning their home matches, we now enter the phase of this series where the winner takes all. After losing Toort Lanto in the first game after League's Cup back in mid August, the Sounders went on a ten game on beaten streak until that lost versus Dallas
last weekend. But losing at the right moments in a season can have a galvanizing effect and help refocus the team for that final push. The players know what they have to do. For Brian Schmetzer tonight, it's all about execution. Big time players must show up in the big time moments, and this is that moment. Win and you'd advance to the Western Conference Semifinals. Lose
and you go home. My name is Danny Jackson alongside format sounders Captain Brad Evans for the call tonight before we get to bread for his initial thoughts, Let's get you the Delta. Starting eleven for your sounders. No changes for Brian Schmitzer, Stephan Fryan gole A back four of Roldan, Yemar Reagan knew
Who Josh Atensio alongside JP in the middle. Christian Roldan on his three hundredth game for the club, plays on the right, Albert Rusnak in the ten leo two on the left, and Jordan Morris up front for FC Dallas, passing gold to Marci Ibiyaga to fari jonqua Ila, Mirendi Frazer, Pomica, Comungo, Obrien and Ariola. As the game gets going, ball in with Dallas, ball bounces around, picked up by JP, played to Christian Roldan. Sounders gonna play on that front foot today as they try to find that
win in this all important game. As Christian roll Dan has the right hand side, comes inside towards his left foot, tries to find Jordan Morris cut out by FC Dallas, headed forward by Yama As Alex Roldan cuts forward on
his right foot, challenged by Ilamrendi towards the end line. This near side the right, swings it in with his left foot, finds Rouznak far side, comes inside, low cut past to Marsi, comes off to Marcy's earlier corner kick for the Sounders and Brad the team's gonna come out firing that a
slow twenty minutes in the first two games. What they have to do tonight, Well, the Sounders are coming off that loss in Dallas, and it was the first fifteen minutes of that game, mostly the first five or six minutes where I think if they look at that tape again, they didn't give it their full effort. They didn't think that that result was gonna happen in Dallas. They may have thought they were gonna walk through it. They woke up in the second half, and tonight is all about effort. Rosneck to
what bull comes In's around played eventually by the FC Dallas back line. If landed in that six yard bucks as Yamar challenge it is near side the right challenge well on Junqua cuts it around, stays in play by Junqua, comes around to Atensia, rips it in with his right foot. Top of the bucks finds Rosnik twenty five yarchs from gold chew to his left, he finds Choo, goes around towards the end line, cuts it back off to Marsi second corner kicking a rope. I edn't know what we've seen And how is
the complete opposite from the start at Dallas. Now it's a Sounders putting Dallas under pressure, and it's already led to two corner kicks, And where does it start challenging for every single ball and being there for the second ball as well. So the Sounder is off to a good start tonight. And like I said, it's all about mentality tonight, and it's about who's gonna fight for the ball. We know that Dallas with al Ferrera might sit back,
so these set peace opportunities are gonna be key. In swing corner kick with the right foot of isn't that drops in head of flip by Christian Holdan goes of the endline goal kick in the third minute, Sounder's nil FC Dallas nil, And as brad Evans mentioned, Jesu's Ferrara, the talisman for FC Dallas
out tonight picked up an injury. It's not even on the bench, so it's gonna be a shifted lineup with Comongo on that right hand side where he played so well against Knew who in the last game assists for Ariola in the first six minutes of that game, and then Obrienn, who came off the bench in that last game scored a goal in the eighty ninth minute. He's going to play up top. There's a like for like switch for Ferrara.
Clash of Bodis Jackson, Rigan goes to the back of Obrienna. Early free kick for Dallas inside Sounder's territory, quickly played by Liam Fraser coming in for Velasko the last game after velasco their number ten towres acl in the first game here at Lumenfield, with Dallas now trying to cut their foot in the balls, sound is gonna high press a little bit. JP heads at landed the feet of Alex Roldan inside on his right little cut back to Atensio played so
well in that first game to turn the corner. Bat two knocked over the top, rolls through to Seph and freight Decktown and all yellow Tonight Sounders in their green shirts, blue shorts, green socks attacking the Gold to our right, the south end, typically the side the light the Sounds like to attack in that second half. FC Dowas and their red shirts, maybe blue shorts and socks. Paul goes into the box, Obrien cuts it back, Sounds
scrambling, so you're saying the ball it does to it. Ptensio comes off the heel of Obrien. Gonna be a throwing for the Sounds. There's near side the right good pressure from FC Dallas here. And my big question mark at home was with Lasko going out and Fraser coming in. I thought that may just be a spot placement. But Fraser's proven himself throughout this series to
be a formidable for us as at a young age. For FC Dallas in the middle of the midfield, he provides that physical prowess much like Atensio does. But it just changes scenes for FC Dallas as they move forward though, and as they build, especially now with Farrera out, how are they gonna
break the Sounders down? And that's a tough thing. I think it's going to be unpredictability for the Sounders at this point with guys on FC dolls moving, so staying formidable defensively, keeping your shape is going to be operation number one in this first twenty minutes for the Sounders at home. Before your kick for the Sounders and as JP looks to play the bull for the first time this evening, we had to go throw it down to Michelle Luck for the
sidelines. Good evening, Michelle, Good evening, gentlemen. Exciting night here at Loominfield. The crowd is just packed in and ready to go to cheer on the Sounders, hopefully to a victory tonight. And tonight is a special night because it's actually the four year anniversary of when the Sounders won the MLS Cup right here on this pitch in twenty nineteen, a three to one win
over Toronto. And of that starting eleven players dating want to throw it back to you, Well goes over the end line, We'll throw it back to Michelle. Is gonna be a goal kick for Dallas. As Claus has it in his hands, it's going to take a minute to manage that time. Top of the six, you up ball from new who down the line, towards Leo Chu didn't quite get it rolled over that endline for a goal kick for Dallas. But as brad Evans mentioned, Leap Fraser came on the field
in that first half. In the first game, Alasko came off with that acl playing alongside Illamorendi, both August signings for FC Dallas, stepping in and doing both being a really good job. As a trolled on down the deck, rolling around a little bit of pain. As the ball gets knocked out by Gamer. It seems to be a free kick. So now was hold On struggling a little bit? Yeah, that one didn't look good for me. It looked like his left leg kind of got caught underneath the turf as
Ariola bumped him. It looked like neyar hip actually as he comes down. The Sounders play quick on that free kick, trying to catch FC Dallas. But the pressure from Dallas early on is surprising. I thought they might sit back and try to withstand some pressure from the Sounders, but the Sounders being so good offensively, I don't think they have any other choice but to really
press the Sounders. That's worked in the past two games, and now the Sounders must find a way out of this pressure, and it's gonna come from stretching this defense down the left and right hand side. You who's striding forward in the farst side the left clatches off the shins of new who down the line to Leo Chun tries to flick it around the corner, comes off the foot of Ebiaga for a Sounders throw ten yards from the corner flag on the
far side the left. As Bred mentioned the FC Dallas first twenty minutes in the second game, there were two Nila calls by Ariola and Ferrara. Spall goes down line to Leo Chwo over the end line. It's gonna be a goalkick for FC Dallas. Let's get here in the seventh minute ninety three point three KGr FM. Wherever you're listening to us in the car at home an iHeartRadio media app. You appreciate you joining us. Big must win game for
the Sounders tonight, packed house here at Luminfield remains nil nil. Sounders off to a quicker start than the last two games, playing on the front foot, as per the demand of Brian Schmidtz, so he mentioned it joining his conversations with the media this week, Sounds gonna come out quickly, get on the front foot, use that experience. So far they are doing that.
There's a fishing rolled on hooks it forward his left foot headed clear by Ibiyaga, the cushion headed by JP as it flicking around the corner, bundled over by that August signing Ilamrendi. It's gonna be a free kick to the Sounders where the Sounders can tactically be more aware. Here is the front three for
FC Dollas are pretty young and they're fast players. It's really hard for a coach that have three quick, lightning, fast players up top that are young and tell them to really pull the reins back, especially away from home.
It's a heightened occasion and you're already seeing the high press. And if the Sounders can find a way much like they did in the second half, by just connecting, switching the point of attack and slowly making your way up the field, and if you're gonna play for free kicks, play for free kicks.
But at the end of the day, someone for the Sounder's got to be Albert, It's got to be Christian getting on the ball and finding that creativity to break FC Dallas down well won by sounds at tenier twenty five yards out twice to shoot sliced off his right foot. He's gonna go all the way to this near touch line for a Dallas throat. How many times you see that happen? The player from forty yards shaking one out for a throw and you'll want that one back after the banger he had here at home earlier
in the year. He knows he co distance. You have that banger against Saint Louis. Why not? But what that does, right is the threat of shooting from outside. I mean someone has to step the lines, must step forward. That'll open up room for the Sounders as they try to knife through this packed defense from for FC Dallas, headed by Yamn right from the Sounders bench, goes into Jordan Marris's feet back to a tensio top right corner of the box. Tries to flick it around the corner. We'll bounced around
hash clear it's by f C Dallas through the legs off. Albert Rosenak has a strong challenge by JP demanding that he got the ball. There's a referee sorts that one out. We're gonna throw it down to Michelle, thank you, Danny. Just to continue my thought as we kind of sort things out here on the field from earlier before we had a little technical definite difficulties.
I was talking about the depth of this team. I mentioned twenty eighteen, the Sounders winning MLS Cup right here on this pitch, and of that starting eleven, there are five players that are still on this Sounder squad, three that are starting tonight and Fry Morris and Christian rold On, And like I
said, there's so much experience here we learned earlier this week. Of the current squad and the current players that are on the pitch starting tonight, only Josh Atensio and Jackson Reagan are the only two players that have not been in a cup final. Not that tonight is a cup final, but we finally entered that point in the season where it's due or die, win or go
home. Yep, thanks Michelle Duodi. Indeed, the sound just try to get this game go and find the opening goal of Goull down the line misplayed by Atenshiel at the time and space to play it over the top. He didn't. FC Dallas come away with its Christian rolled on using all the energy, pressing pause in the Dallas goal is long to the far side there right,
challenged by newho certainly be motivated to play another good game. Went from playing arguably his best ever game on a two hundredth game for the Sounders in that first game win against Dallas. Here a couple of mondays ago and it didn't play so great in Dallas. Certainly fight up to get that performance level back up to where he needs it to be. As the Sounders give it away, but Jackson riger is able to take it off the foot of vill
Our ending as JP played it to this near side. They're right. Alex Roldan striding forward, got some time and space in front of the Sounder's bench, goes back to Yamar was eleven men sit deep behind the ball for FC Dallas. A little higher press now as Obrian pushes on YAMRG and rolls it all the way back to step and Fry, but certainly a better start for
the Sounders. Brad evanston a good start from the Sounder's a bit more patience knowing when to go forward and kind of win to slow the game down right outside the opportunity there, there's so much space and time in front of him, notices that it's a more of a two B one situation for FC Dallas. Slows the play down. It's a potmycar towards the end line, cuts it back. Tricky ball by Intensio for about ten yards, really puts that for crying it, laid it back to the sounder's goal keeper was able to
figure out his feet and release that pass away from pressure. As the sound is clear, Ibiaga wins that initial header. Groznack. He's going to try and be lively at a quiet first twenty five minutes against Dallas In Dallas, Arriola comes away with it score of that first goal for FC Dallas on that right hand side, walls it out to Komungo, laid the ball into him
for that header from six yards. When's Frazier thirty five yards from goal, looks to line up a shot close down well by Intensio, goes to Komungo on the right hand side down the line towards Ariola, but Jackson Reagan sees the game well. It gives it away cheaply. Pomit Carl right corner of the box. Has it a couple of tricks one two with Ariol the rolls
over the endline. Who protects it well? Goal kick Sounders remains Neil Neil bred Evans, Sounders an undoing that we slow the playdown, like I said before with Alex Rowdon, and it's a cheap giveaway and all of a sudden we find ourselves. I'm not sure I've ever seen a backpass inside the silent the keeper. Yeah, good luck with that one step. But the Sounders do okay, playing out of pressure, a little too calm in the back right now, it's still a playoff game, we gotta remember, and credit
to the Sounders who always want to play right. We always want to play We did it it h Dallas and it kind of caught us in the first half. So it's knowing when to send the ball along and knowing when you can play short. And the Sounders have to shore some things up back there. There we go, Bull flicked him by. Initially, Morrison and roll Don almost found the foot of Rusnet going in behind straight off to training field.
Sounds asking for a handball off Kmungo, nothing given by the referee, finds the chest of ariol A top of the box, ball bounced around, eventually clid By Jackson Reagan to JP back to the left foot of Jackson Reagan who plays it nicely long that left hand side to push and roll. Don switch the point of attack from left to this near side the right. Alex rolled on. Get a little time and space, just place it back to Yama. But tonight's match is presented by Regions Blue Shield, where connection is
at the heart of a healthy life. Regents Blue Shield, Together we Health. We're here. In the fourteenth minute EQUC pitch Luminfield Sounders nil Dallas nil, third game of a three game first round playoff in the MLS one one, both teams winning at home with comfortable wins. In the end for both teams, the jack Suaga start to build out the back and grad It's about patients in the right times and then going with speed at the right times when
the gaps open up. Yeah. Look, I think to Michelle's point is yeah, that's not a cup final. But at the end of the day, this is a final game for one of these teams. And how many times we've been here against Kansas City in a knockout game, We've been here against Colorado and a knockout game. Sounders have been so good and Open Cup finals as well in MLS Cup finals as well. We know how to win. Now it's just a final product tonight. This is win or go home.
So the pressure must be there from start to finish it. You've got to get the crowd into it. What does that take. It's got to take a moment of brilliance, right. The Sounders can't, like you said, just get molled into keeping the ball around the back, waiting for the perfect opportunity. Sometimes it's just about pressure and the battling for the ball and
then you can settle into your own game. Sounders off the back of eighteen games unbeaten in the playoffs, eighteen games unbeating against FC Dallas and all competition games as well, Sounds riding high with strength and success at home as Alex Roldan has at eighteen yards from the end like cuts it inside to his brother Christian, back to Alex, closed down by Ariola, eleven men behind the ball for FC Dallas. It's a Sounder trying to find a little bit of
space and time. Close down quickly on Christian, rolled on is Obrian for Dallas. Flicks around the corner off the face of Obrian Hey am I asking for a handball. It's gonna be a throw in for for Sounders. The Sounds FC socket is presented by Provident, Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders FC. If Bull goes down the line to Christian Roldan flips off the left foot of Juanqua started the last game, it's a far fan who starts in the
left back position in game one. Branch BET's making no changes again tonight, and one of those enforced changes, of course of Hazes Ferrara. If Bull goes down the line goes over the end line goal kick. Dallas remains Sounders Neil Dallas, nil Dallas sitting back almost in there, all eleven guys inside
the eighteen. This is not worst case scenario for the Sounders, but at the end of the day, now it's gonna you're gonna have to catch them on the break, so you're gonna have to give up a little bit of space at some times and and drive forward and commit a Dallas defender. It can't just be we get the ball wide and we try to play for corner kicks, kinds a lunch knock, sit long big Jackson roeg and no challenge in the header was able to find Christian Roldan lay up by Jordan Morris.
Sound is gonna come again. Ten men drop deep all over the top to Jordan Morris, flicks up in the air. Junkle collects it on the inside of his left foot, deep on his left back position. Comes off Christian roll done. And what we saw, what I thought was so good in Dallas was a Tensio's ability to get in behind the defense. And now you see him almost sitting deeper than y'all Paulo. Jordan Morris makes a run forward. That's when Entensio should have the freedom to get forward. Dallas has so
many guys back, Entensio sitting back, JP is sitting back right. Allow him to go forward. He's the guy that's got to break the lines to mix up something for the Sounders. Roll down the line towards Obrien easily won by Yame. I'll flicked forward by Rusnak. Bull bounces a couple of times, rolls into the hands of Pause and with that we're gonna throw it down
to Michelle. Thank you, Danny. There's no a lot of talk about, of course, the Sounders and Dallas playing each other three times now, in less than two weeks time, and I spoke with Alex Oldn pre match kind of just about that exact same thing, and he took really a positive to it, saying that by being able to fly each other this amount of time, there's been so much film they've been able to watch, and they've really been able to focus on what they need to fix, which he said
was starting strong in the first twenty minutes of play, and based on possession that we've been seeing so far on of this match, it seems like they are succeeding what they were seting out to do. The Potensio steps in well, whins, the bull gives it away, goals into the foot of pause Thick to own old Black in the Dallas goal. But we only see a
couple of things, Brad. We see the back full of Dallas playing narrow, playing tight, and then Ariola, who did so well in the attacking Thod the last couple of games playing a little Deepers trying to help out Junk on that left hand side. Yeah, Weldin, you know, the Sounders are are very good at building out from both sides, and tonight you know kind of get a feel for the game early on they want them to play
out of this right hand side. It's like Leo two plays very good at home when he's feeling hot, and so they're trying to keep them all away from from Leo two. And you know, for good measure. Ariola's probably the most experienced man on the rosters play national team games. He's saying, go ahead, try to beat all over the top. But Jordan Marris Tofari reads the play well, former CLU player as of one year, walls it down the line attentions that have come in. He got a chance to make
a crunching tackle. Junkle gets there first, comes off the toe of a ten shoar. It was gonna be a throwing for FC Dallas. Well, sometimes at first glance, it's why are we're hitting long walls, why we're hitting on But at the end of the day, you must stretch the defense. You have to mix things up. Like I said, we can't get into a mode where it's just Jordan's showing for feet and we're trying to play one two touch passes. While passes Jordan wants to stretch his legs. You
saw it in Dallas. Give me the ball for forty five minutes. He was working his tail life and so mixing up our play. I like it. Maybe you win a free kick or a throw in than the opponent's half and you regain some real estate in the final third. Foul on Jackson rigas he stepped forward. Hope, Brianna, it's gonna give sound as a free
kick forty yards or so from pass's goal left of center. It was when we played back in the day years ago when Sebassian la two played up front for us and we would hit it in the channels, stretch that game and then he would give the like some Laton O'Brien some time to find the feat and then the time and space because the game was stretched and it allowed that space in the middle of the field. Well that's Jordan's strength, yea, is what you did at Stanford. Then you want to play as a number
nine, then you better stretch your legs, right. That's one of his rets. How we scored against Dallas. It's how we scored a second one unfortunately called off sides and one of them will be fruitful, right, But instead we're playing short and Dallas is in our own half. Now we're in a free kick slowly gaining a little of a little bit of space, JP with his right foot flicks it in towards the left hand side, headed forward by Jackson Reagan safely the hands of pause. Free kick given by the referee
was Jackson Reagan. Just this size and stats are getting over the top of Pommecarl. It's gonna be a free kick for FC Dallas. But this copyrighted audio casts of Major League Soccer may not be retransmitted, reproduced, or rebroadcast. That the express written consent of Major League Soccer. We're in the twentieth minute, Sounders nil Dallas nil in this third game of the first round of
the MLS Playoffs. Both teams winning their home games. It comes down to this do or die, win or lose whin it moves on conference semifinals. The Sounders have found out that there's a number two seed and with Saint Louis Who with the number one seed losing against Kansas City in the first round, the Sounders, if they can get through tonight, will play a home game against LAFC and then we'll if they win, they move on to the conference
finals. They will also host that game as the highest seed. So much to play for for Brian Schmittz and his team tonight. As you mentioned during the week, the experience is certainly something to will help. Thele or two has it left hand side challenged by three different players. The ball eventually comes in cleared by Iviaga, collected by Jackson Reagan. Lots of pressure in the attack and half of the field for the Sounders, but nothing really to speak
of in terms of chances on passes. Goal all goes to the feat of Christian rold On good little turn from Jianqua, strides forwards inside the box, almost gets clipped, just like he did for that first goal in the first game. All comes back to Atensio inside the box right corner, so Alex Roldan hugging this near touch line on the right eighteen yards from the end line. It's back to ye Mark turns away from pressure, Hope Yan really putting
some pressure on the back line for the Sounders. One given a chance, Jeck suregulars the left foot, finds a Tensia well the JP middle of the field. Switching to the far side the left Alex Roznek shifted over from his number ten position. There's some time and space overlapping run by nude to the feet of Leo Chwu does the flicker around the corner. He does get it, get around towards the end line. Bull bounced around up on his hands. Free kick given for FC Dallas remains nil nilk. Well done. From
the Salnder's building. On this right hand side, it's a three v three. There's no way to break through. So we go back to Yemar swinging around patients on the ball. Ptensio in the right spot for a little bump pass and that's fine from Leo. Two. If you're in the box, you have freedom, go go get a defender. Someone's gonna make a mistake, just like that first game at home. Unfortunately, it's a little bit of bump with the hamball. He almost finds his way through a pat crowd
in that Dallas defense. Both teams sit with really good defensive records in the season, Sounders signing for best defensive record in MLS Nashville for thirty two goals against in the regular season. For Dallas they were third with thirty seven given up during the year. Both teams not so prolific in the attacking third of the field. Isel Morandi comes away with it for FC Dallas w's his foot on the ball, just taking his time, knocks it along, tries to
find the feet of Obriann in the gap. Well played by yam Or sees the danger, plays it well, so Brian chases and Harry's Jackson Reagan at the top of the box see Dallas play a little higher press. The success they had in the last two games certainly from press, but Sounders play out
well. Jordan Morris behind what was that, tries to find in the Gibiaga reads the danger well, plays the ball to Tafari, who's able to knock it a long given away by the center back for FC Dallas, Jp middle of the field, striding forward, finds the feet of Fisher Roldan's at Jordan Marsh top of the boxes able to collect. Neila Morendi goes down the line right from the sounder's bench to Pommy Karl f Alex swol Dan goes back to
the Spanish midfield player, plays it around the corner with frasier factors. Junko is gonna launch it along with his left foot. Nemo reads it well, jumps in front of Obriann and it finds the feet of Jackson Reagan, lots of pressure for the Sounders just need to find that opening to get an opening goal. And we talked about it just coming on the air. Brat. If that get that first goal, that opens up this game and it forces
Dallas to potentially come out of their shell. Yeah, I don't think it matters when that goal comes, to be honest, because Dallas is coming out high pressing, and when the Sounders do play through that pressure, you saw that opportunity to get forward and get into the attacking half. Now it's that final that just that final piece, that final product, and it's common. It's just like in Dallas took you know, twenty twenty five minutes or the
Sounders to get into this game. And if DAWs does come out and keep pressuring like they are, surprising to me, Like I said, the Salmers could play through pressure. Brilliant there in the twenty second minute. That's how you're gonna beat this team here at all. Yep. It was the first game where Haesus Ferrara missing tonight went through one on one with Stephan Fry in
the first twenty minutes of the game. Was a wonderful save by Stephan Fry in the second attempt for Ferrera on a second one B one went over the top and that was a chance for Dallas to get themselves on the board early in their first game, and then the second game just last weekend, they were able to capitalize on some of those early chances. Have got their two goal lead in the first twenty minutes and the Sounders did everything so they could
try and bring it back. It might get there is a referee flag? Is this a referee flag goes up on this near side but all over the top to Leo Chow's gonna be a free kick for FC dows remains they'll nilk well. November is Native American Heritage Month. Celebrate with us at the Burke Museum on Sunday, November nineteenth. Get free entry by wearing your Sounders FC gear. Fans in attendance will be entered to win an autograph jersey. To

The twenty sixth minute QC pitch Luminfield ninety three point three KGr FM Sounders Nil Dallas nil all gets launched long by pass headed up in the air by FC Dallas. Launch long by JP high bounces once over the far touch line for a Dallas throw with Toumasi staying a little bit closer to home in these first twenty five minutes is the Dallas right back all goes to pomccarth isn't able to keep it in bounce. It's going
to be a Sounder's throw with Nuho on that far side the left. The Nico Staves really turned things around last year, gone to the playoffs after a real good run in the regular season, played really well against Western Conference opponents away from home. Really only six lost on the season last year. Certainly the big shift, the big mentality shift for the team under new management. So far as bearing fruit, Dallas looking balanced and composed of these first two
games. At times, certainly the talk is about the Sounders talking is about their experience in playoff soccer. Obviously Dallas are hanging with him so far. Neil Nil here as Yemar strikes forward this near side the right, plays the ball to Alex rolled On in support. Comes off that touchline, ball at his feet goes square five yards of JP back to Alex rold On eleven men
deep four Dallas defending their goal. It's knew who has it plays the ball to the far side the left Leo Chu challenged by Tumarci double team with Comungo. Nothing forward has to go back. Sounders need to be patient, just need to find that opening. Dallas just holds strong on top of their eighteen yard bugs, forcing the Sounders to find that opening. Goes down the line
towards Alex Roldan whips it in off the heel of Ariola. Kona kicks sounds remains Neil Neil bred Evans, You got to go back to your earlier point about FC Dollas they were so good last year because they were very good defensively. It seems like whoever they plug in, you watch their shape tonight. They're very organizing. How they play, it's really a four to three to three, and then when they drop back it's almost a four or five to
one. Really difficult to play through. And you watch their lines. No one's dropped deep, no one's dropped stepping forward too far. But the Sounders are gonna have to be concise. And that's a great corner kick movement by the Sounders. Fourth coner kick for the Sounders, arm up in the air by JP goes short towards Chris Alex Roldan on this side of the right, comes in, whipped in kid cleared by Dallas top of the box. Folly by Ruzneck over the top goal kick. Good chance by the Sounders. Right
off the training field. We had no problem with having a little strong corner mixings up Dallas with all eleven players inside the box, it's gonna be really difficult. We saw it in Dallas right The Sounders were sitting with four on top of the box and now we're sending more numbers inside. But Alex just peels off and it's a great ball and it would have taken a Worldy. It would have been goal of the year if if a snack at least would have put that one on frame. Just sales over the bar. But I
like the effort right getting after goal. Try something, try something new. Shows the confidence of the Sounders. Number eleven talked about it this week. It's a little settled lineup now for the Sounders. It was a mix a match between Ladero and Rosnek in regular season. Now Rosneck's found himself sitting in that number ten, starting in that role in the last three games. Unchanged lineup again tonight for Brian Schmitze. But certainly the strength and depth off the
bench is there. We've seen Niko Ladero come off the bench and play so well. Certainly in that first game, Raoul came off and got a good run. Last week in Dallas, both the players prime to come up field certainly use all that playoff experience. The ball goes along, sent it to the far side that left with Leo Chu's able to collect it ten yards from the end line, challenged by Timasi, goes towards Christian Roldan clip by ebag
headed up by roll Don folds in the hands of the Dallas goalkeeper. Pause and for the sound as it was patient patients long bawl and just couldn't get that funnel delivery. Yeah, it was a long ball, and then if you win the second balls, there's no problem with what sending the ball long. JP does a great job there, picks a ball up and it's a second touch. He sprays it long, trying to isolate Lao Jew out there. With the tough part for Lao Jew tonight, this is matched up with
a player that's just as fast, if not faster than him. So Lalo's got to have a little bit of patience as he works into this game. He needs help from Neuhu. At the end of the day. Alex old Don goes to the deck wins it well before he kicked to the Sounders to get it going quickly, Alex Roldan down the line towards Jordan. Mars can I getting behind Junkhu we can towards the end line, cuts it back, ricochet to Christian all dog to jpach up the Dogs rolls it into the hands
of pass from all of twelve yards. He was a chance for the Sounders. Remains nil nil. It's a great, great play, great heads up play from JP. The Sounders win a free kick. He takes a quick free kick. Alex findes Jordan using that strength again. We forget how strong Jordan is off the ball. It's a great look for JP and he'll want to have this one back because he kind of scuffs this one with his left foot. It's well done by the goalkeeper because that ball could go anywhere,
and he guesses right on that one. He takes a chance that he might put it down low to his right, but yeah, JP might just want to hit through the end of that one and smash that ball on frame. We saw that same ball from Christian roll Don t Ruznek just a couple of weeks ago, that concise thoughtful past. This time it was a slight cutback to JP and we have the chance. The goal was gaping. He couldn't wrap his left foot around it and get it in the back of the net.
It remains nil nil here thirty one minutes gone. Brian Schmidtz Schmetzer sits on his bench and its cross just chit channing with his assistant coaches down there, just thinking about a couple of comments and thoughts for halftime. Fifteen minutes left. Here as the ball goes down the line fast side the right for Obrian Dallas pick it up, comes along top of the six yard box, easily cleared by Yemon. No real pressure. It's asking for an off side
potentially arms up in the air by Yamon. It's going to be a throw in for FC Dallas with Pommy Carl twelve yards from the corner. Flaly goes to to Marci. Pressure from Leo Chu coming back to help this time. Commented in the last game that Leo two need to do a bit more defensively for his team. This Tunese sister referees, flag does go up? You
free kick to the Sounders. Yeah, a little bit of pressure from FC Dallas doing well and what Dallas has done there, there's a little bit of patience on the ball and they're using that right hand side with all that speed and it's a good move for the right midfielder to turn to play a little outside the foot pass down the lineers. It looked off sides to me actually also, but the Sounders do well to defend. There gets said, and now we got to go again. In ways. What I like about the
last play is JP's heads up play and it's the ball four. But then it's the commitment from everyone to get forward to get into the box. It's not just the Jordan show, right. You get JP in the box, you had Leo Chu in the box, you had Albert. That's got to continue as we had to the last fifteen minutes of this half ball played by Ibyaga mcgold kick from both free kick from Stephan Fryn John put is near side, the left finds the foot of a briand little layoff towards Ariola given away
by the experienced Dallas number seven. Ball goes over the top chased down by Christian World done, Junko picks it up at his left foot, cuts it around the corner to Ila Morendi, who has been a point of support for Dallas in the middle of the field, just connecting those passes. Tom mccafflicks around the corner to Ariola to Obrien Yamo steps in atsl those interceptions to which
he is leading MLS. It's gonna be a thrown for FC Dallas. What hilar Amendi does so well as his patience, he seems to be just a stoop of the game. With his experience in La Liga, He's seen these situations before. He's played against the biggest teams. He's been a part of some of the biggest teams in the world. So it's no wonder why this
FC Dallas team has been so organized in the middle of the park. Playing against Albert Rusnak JP and Josson Tencho has really led as a number six there and allowing FC Dallas and not only play out of the back, but to control the temple of the game against a really good Sounders midfield YEP associate dead Player came in in August. All goes down the line towards Komungo Rash challenged by Jackson Reagan. Good job he didn't connect with the right winger of Dallas
foot was up high. The death sound has come away. That switched the ball by Atensio to Alex roll Don. The foot of Christian roll Don challenged by Ilamendi, the twenty fourteen Champions League winner with Real Madrid. JP got some time in space, strikes forward thirty yards from goal, bundled over by Obriann you saw the pressure you He couldn't escape obriand goes down yellow cut for
the Dallas number eight. And that was all about experience Bred. Yeah, you don't see many players run straightforward while looking backwards at the same time, and that was one of them. Or JP, like you said, us is his experience. He knows that the options are closing down in front of him. As the snats gets tighter and tighter, he feels a little bit of pressure falls on top of the ball, draws a yellow card for FC Dallas in a good free kick position and if the service is there, you
know. But like I said, FC Dallas dropping all eleven players behind the ball, not taking any chances away from home, so the service has to be top and the runs have to be concise, and they got to be fast. And what I loved about these positions is if I was partnered up with a Chad Marshall and I'm gonna just set a pick for Chad and allow him to get around. And that's the best part about being up there is
finding those partnerships to wiggle someone free. All goes in short down the line, good little moved by Christian old agean right up the training he flicks it up. Jordan mars up in his head. Couldn't get any power on that header from all of ten yards, just jumps into the hands of Pause in the Dallas goal falls to the ground, just to take a couple of seconds
off the cluck and all the back floor to get set. All the Sounders must be doing a little something different in training this week, knowing that with FC Dallas eleven players behind the ball, it's gonna take something special. A little quick free kick. Bull goes into Russnick and it's a goal. I don't play goal for the Sounders on unless win nights out of nothing. It's Russnick who finds the ball in the back of the net to put the sound
as one goal up on the night. Well done there from the Sounders. You said it pause, taking his time, waiting for his team to get up, and then all of a sudden, it's a quick turnover and within two passes the Sounders are in and behind, takes a little deflection and Brusnak, who just a class finish, celebrates with the ball boy on the sideline. You'd love to see it here at home. Seventh goal in the air for Russneck, as we mentioned, just reveling playing in that number ten on
what an impact he has had in the last couple of weeks. Goals against Dallas in the first game, against Saint Louis in the last game in regular season, and now a goal tonight putting the Sounders up a vital goal. I will see how FC Dallas responded. But Brad Evans to score this point of the game, ten minutes before halftime, it really sets up things nice. If the end of this first half and going into that second half, well, we said it didn't really matter when the Sounders scored, as long
as they scored first. To me, we talked about it before the game. If Dallas came out and scored first, it was going to be a really, really difficult night for the Sounders as you know that Dallas is just gonna sit back and try to withstand pressure from the Sounders. But that goal with ten minutes left in this half, I said, get in at halftime, want nothing, play a good solid next ten minutes. If I'm on
the field, you have draw fouls just like Leo two did there. And as we watch a replay, it's JP who sets up with just an absolutely brilliant ball slicing through defensive midfielder trying to run with Albert Rusnak. And that's that run in behind that we talked about. You have to have that when you play in a team against Dallas. That he plays such a good block of defense, and that's a class finish for Roosnak with his weaker foot thiss his head up just has a going bears in the back of the net.
Is he's excited for that one? Yeah? JP has it left side in the field, twenty five yards or so from the end line with his right foot. He's gonna swing this one in Dallas hold that line and comes in just bounces right in front of pause. He collects it easily eventually, but good goal by JP just couldn't get in to the end of it from a sound displayer and a pause chries to deliver it. Well, today we're gonna
throw it down to Michelle. Thanks Danny. As you can imagine, the bench just exploded with Albert Rusnak's goal, Cheers, celebrations, hugs, all of the emotion on the sideline. But my favorite moment Brian Schmenzer is the team reset for the restart after the goal. Is he put up a fist and tapped his head with hands only what I can imagine meaning a strength mentality. Keeping that strong mindedness right now from his players is kind of a reminder
to Okay, don't take your foot off the gas yet. Yep, don't take your foot off the guests. Don't make any silly mistakes, keep it tight and as we both know of Pere, first five minutes after a goal, before and after first half or second half as well, is the time when a team is potentially the most vulnerable. Sound is gonna lean on that experience tonight. It's the games when big game experience it's gonna be vital.
As the Sounders play around with the back sometimes you're gonna put your foot through it, and this time it is going to be a ball launched a little bit longer by step and Fry. Second ball picked up by Intensio from a header off FC Dow's back line, all over the top Jordan Morris, Safari coming in behind Jordan Morris, ball bounced around it. Davi eventually flicks around it. Biaga it's able to clear it, tries to find phrase. It
doesn't to the feet of Jordan Morris finds Alex Rodance. Sound has got that bit between their teeth. Now try to find that second goal. JP has the ball nothing given by the referee. Alex Roldan got bungled over in the middle of the field. Flicker Alex Roldan, Junko comes in, wins it, finds the foot of Fraser, who gives it away. Who reads it well off Comungo drives forward far left side, comes square to Rousnicks to make a little run in behind, checks his run, moves out to left,
finds it. Paul gets rolled down, just catching him off balance, rolls over the far touch line for a Dallas throw. It's certainly forty minutes in here. Sounders won Dallas kneel off a goal from Albert Russneck and this score update is presented by Regents. The Sounders have it again, dominating in possession with sixty five percent, but shir Roldan tries to find it. Jordan Morrison the box, little Maradona around the corner and it's almost a wonderful goal and
he's dragged wide. Christian rolled on great feet by Jordan Marris finds the run of Christian roll Don. He tries to find the bottom left corner but drags it wide. Sounders one Dallas nail Well. That is confidence at its finest. I've never seen Jordan pull off a little Maridona trick inside the box. He does so well here and to find his good friend and Christian rolled on right in front of goal, you expect better for Christian there to put that
on frame. As a right footer, I know your cup, but you're dead onto the ball. I'm always going bottom right corner in that situation. But the Sounders, it's just pure pressure. The last five minutes, like you said, those five minutes are so key after scoring a goal, and it's been all Sounders since that first goal. It's been all Sounders, and now it's about finding that second goal. Don't let all this pressure be for
nothing. As the ball goes over the top towards Christian rolled on, Tafariy tries to bundle him over, pushes him aside, wins the ball, but finds the foot of Christian rolled on tofari has to slash a Christian rolled on in the box. See if the referee takes a look, finds ten your right hand side. Flicks it towards the top back post, bounces to Leo Chu, tries to cut it around, slash it on goal hack clearance by Liam Fraser. Sounders all over Dallas right now in these final minutes of the
first half. Can they find that second goal, that all important second goal. It's pushing rold On through the legs of Junko inside the box, comes to Rossnak twelve yards out, bounces around, blocked by Fraser. Ariola has it sounds retreat. Pau mccarl flicked around the corner to Ariola five yard square, past the Junker down the line and Yamar reads it well. Hope Brian
trying to go over the top. It went down short, giving away cheaply though by the Sounders, and then giving away cheaply by Dallas and it's new striding forward Leo Chwo on his left is gonna come to the center to a rossnak thirty five yards from Gold to Prishian rolld on top of the box, rolls it to Alex rold on right hand side, cuts it back top of the box. Little give and go with Christian Waldon who goes to Nu who Sounder is just trying to find that opening, that chance to test pause in
the Dallas goal. Get here in the forty third minute, Switcher play finds a chest of Alex Waldon, time and space, tries to go around the corner. It could have whipped it in early comes back to Yama. Sounder is having all the pressure in these final minutes the first half. J P flicks it down the line, cuts off the chest of the clearance of Jung put goalkick. Dallas means Sounders won Dallas. Neil bred evansaw the Sounders having
all the pressure, They're having all the fun. You haven't seen the Sounders play like that for a ten minute spell pretty much all season. It has been all Sounders since scoring that goal. And it's the movement, it's the creativity and when the ball got turned over there a couple of minutes ago. Who was the first one to sprint back. Jordan Morris makes a sprint back from the top of the eighteen because it was a silly turnover from the Sounders.
That's what causes good recovery. That sends a statement going into halftime too, to all the guys, everyone's here to play tonight. All goes along by pause, the sound has left ten side bouncers through to Tamasi Dallas are gonna take a couple of seconds as they get this ball back. the box, cleared by Tafari. Sounders come again. All Sounders now in these final minutes before the first half, down towards the end line, toward Tensio cuts it back, Leo two collects, Ariola picks up the pieces. Tensai goes sliding in free kick on the big number eighty four for the Sounders. Be Dallas free kick deep on their right hand side. Remains one nilk. That's fine from the Sounder. One minute left in the half. You have a turnover. Go ahead and commit a foul. If I'm a center
back, I'm saying go ahead, foul. All you want up there, We'll handle everything back here that comes along. Let's get into halftime. One nothing. It was a pretty intense ten minutes from the Sounders. Catch your breath, Let's regroup at halftime. Get in that one milk for Sounders. Are eight to zero, to three when leading at the half, thirteen to one and four when scoring the first goal. The Sounders in a good position, building the foundation. Now that with all this pressure, sixty five percent
possession for the Sounders. Eight shots on goal. Dallas have not tested Stephan Frey in his goal yet, no shots, no shots on target for Dallas. Sounders really good buttoning things up in the back. Compared to the first two games. What Dallas had chances then scoring the first game score two in the first eighteen minutes in that second game, but it's all be all Sounders
in this first half here at Luminfield. He goes into Rusnak, contained some possession with Chew farst side the left comes back to new Who and there's no extra mile stoppage time by the referee, whistle in his mouth and with that the sound is gonna go in at halftime off the goal of Albert Rosnet with a wonderful cut through ball by Shao Paolo puts the Sounders up. Brad, your final thoughts, Yeah, good and a good half from the Sounders.
Now it's all about this second period. But for that first half, the Sounders were able to whist down a little bit of pressure from FC Dallas and play appropriately when they needed to. They got rid of the silly turnovers like they did in the first two games and whist stood that first fifteen to twenty minutes of pressure from e FC Dallas and then they just piled it on after
that. We'll take a short break, Jackson Feltz in the team will be back to break it all down at halftime here at EQC Pitch at lumin Field. It sound as one FC Dallas nil at Providence. Forty five minutes in the books of this do or die playoff game between the Sounders in Dallas, Seattle leading one to nothing, a thirty six minute goal by Albert Russknack with a phenomenal pass by Jule Paulo to fit him with the ball in the box, and Albert Russknack makes him pay a Seattle leading one nothing right now here in this playoff match. Welcome into the halftime show. Jackson Fields, Diego,
Ario, Pete Fewing and Lamar Nagil. And let's just start by breaking down that first forty five minutes. Diego, I'll start with you. Yeah, it's been a I would say one month show. Right. The Seattle Sounders have dominated this first half. We were talking about in the pregame, how FC doll isna is gonna play the first forty five and they definitely were really you know, sitting back, we didn't see that cohesiveness from from that FC Dolls you know, they don't have Forray Ryan and it shows from the
Seattle Sounder side. I think they they they played their game, they were patient, and then the goal came in. Surprisingly, there was a lot of space, right, we're talking about it. Jackson after the goal that it was really you know, Rosnik had a lot of space and then you know he finished it properly. But I think Sounders they they they dominated these first forty five minutes. There's still forty five minutes to go, but I
think only one goal, right. I think that's the thing that it's still tricky because FLA hasn't done really you know, having even like a shot on goal, no shots period, no no shots, right, so we will see now Nikos, what's going to bring the second half. I'm curious to see Sounders. I think they had also the opportunity to at least score one more goal in the last ten minutes but minutes. But again, now the
goal it's in, and definitely that changes everything for FC Dollars perspective. Because they have to go forward and there's gonna be more spaces open for the Sounders. Yeah, and I think Seattle's been great on the wings and I think that they are going to have to push forward. That is going to open
things up better on the wings. And it would have been great to get one more goal, just to really put it out because as soon as Seattle got the goal in the thirty six minutes, the next ten minutes, Lamar and Ed were chatting, we had at least three or four chances to score and we're unlucky not to get it. So they've got to keep the pressure applied. But it's only one goal, right, and one goal elevates us, elevates the crowd. Crowd's been effective today for Seattle energy wise, but
it can do the opposite if they come out and get one. So we've got to make sure we don't give up anything. And you can't play to not lose, you can't play to tie right the second half, You've got to keep going and you got to make sure you keep putting pressure on them. But Seattle's in a good spot. Ryan Schpetz will be happy where where they are right now. Yeah, the Sounders have done a great job of kind of managing this game. They've stopped anything that Let's says even tried to
start, which hasn't been much. Really, it looks like they're trying to catch the Sound is kind of like we were saying, trying to catch them over the top. They've been playing a lot to Ariola, kind of betting on that Ariola roll Don matchup, but it's not faring too well for him. Roll Don is getting a great job as a right back end kind of closing that off. Yeah, I think coming out it'll be interesting to see how Dallas changes because they have to change. Yeah, right, they have
to change something. You got forty five minutes to figure this out. You gotta get a goal that's going to stretch him. Sound is going to capitalize on it, but they need to, Like Pete you were saying, they got to capitalize once Dallas tries to push, Chris matches can go ahead. And it reminded me of the final and when we played Toronto here in nineteen we just got going and then and then it was a flood that they couldn't
control. So we need that one more goal to really put them out, and hopefully we see that dam breaking the flood come through here in the second half of Seattle Leit's one Nothing. Also, Sounders FC Soccer is presented by Providence, Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders FC. Checking out the Sounders bench tonight. It includes Javier Ariaga, Roaldridez, Nicholas Ladero, a Bear, Kellen Rowe, Stephen Cleveland, Cody Baker, Obed Vargas. So there are lots of options for head coach Brian Schenzer. Let's talk about who may come off that bench. When they may come off that bench. And primarily though, and I'll start with you diego
some keys to the second half leading by a goal. Yeah, I think wells again, David Lee, what Pete down A. We're mentioning you know in the PREIEUS segment they need to keep going right. You cannot play too tight this game. You need to score a second goal. I would like to see in terms of players coming from the bench, and we talked about it, like Nicolodeiro, right the number ten, he could come out in you know, play at least thirty minutes, twenty five minutes and be that
game changer. Possess get more possession of the ball, get more of those three balls. To Jordan Morris, I think definitely we'll see Lodeiro. And we have also experienced players on top, right, you have Freddie Montero, we have Averre and roal Ridiez obviously, so I think there's a lot of firepower and definitely in the back we might see also some changes on the wings. But definitely I want to see a game changer to score another goal for
the Thunders to get that comfortable win. We got a lot of guys on the bench. You can handle an assignment. They know what the score is, right, they know what to do defensively, they can kill the clock a little bit more. I love that you said Freddie Montiro, because he's one of the best, in my opinion, at killing a clock at the end, holding up the ball, you know, managing the time. So first first fifteen minutes of this second half, seeah, that's to be very
tight. They got to continue. If they can pick up or they left off, the last ten minutes of this half will be in a good spot. But they can't. They cannot make any mistakes. I'd like to see Jackson reg can get rid of the ball a little quicker at the back. They're putting a lot of pressure on him. When he gets the ball almost by design, pick it, he'll cough it up. Yeah. Sound has got to keep that same mentality and same tenacity kind of ending this game.
But the substitutions and all that we can we can talk forever. It depends on what Dallas does. Yeah, yeah, right, and it depends on who gets the next goal. But if everything stays the same. Yeah, experienced players, Lodero Montero game management, that type of thing. I could see that definitely again Sounders leading one Nothing second half with Danny Jackson and Grat on Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFM. When two forces for good come

Welcome back Sounders fans to EQC pitch a lurement field for this third game in the first
round of the MLS Playoffs. Sounders coming into the second half one goal to Nola for back of a Albert Rosneck goal, a vital goal in the thirty sixth minute. Certainly not against are on a play. Sound of dominating that first half with close to sixty four percent possession. Certainly that last ten minutes or so, it was all Sounders in the attacking third of the field.
They just couldn't get that second goal. GP had a chance in that first half about twelve yards straight to the goalkeeper's hands and then Christian rolled down wonderful opportunity from twelve yards middle of the eighteen yard box. Could only drag it wide as that Fcdeller's get this second half going. How's the ball back to Tafari? Big forty five minutes here for both teams, Szila Morendi has it. Sounder is gonna put a little bit of higher press, Jordan Morris is
gonna push. Tafari goes into the feet of Ila Morendi middle of the field line. Little one fall into Ariola could quick play by Dallas to start the game off. As it rolls into the hands of Stephan Fry, decked out and all yellow looking to go long. The Sounder start deep in their half
of the field. Stephan Fry, Sounders in green shirts, blue shorts and green socks attacking the goal to our left for the second half, and then Dallas in their red shirts navy blue shorts and socks attacking the south end to our right. Good ball into Albert Rosneck finds Leo Chew on the left hand side, challenged by Tumasi top of the box. Jordan Morris finds the ball across the sixty yard box by Leo Chu and he finds the foot of Jonqua to be able to calmly pull it away. Goes into the feet of Aubrey
Anne to Ariola. Good ball with his left foot finds Comungo tucked in on that from that left hand side, drives forward the middle of the field to Ariola goal scoring that second game with Dallas number seven. That's to Ilamorendi, the experience Spanish midfield player. So they made things ticket times for FC Dallas.
Nibiaga plays into Pommy Carl we'll get the lineups for both teams. Shortly, Baull goes in flicked around the corner to Alex roldan Or mistouch his foot, but he gets it back, plays it into jp middle of the field. Really dictated play. In that middle of the part, Bull goes in behind Jordan Morris, says he got the legs and Nibiago reads the game well and rolls it back to pas In the Dallas goal goes short to Tafari. A little bit of high pressed by the Sounders forces the farre to go it
long. He's got a chance, ball bounces, so some referee flight goes up and with that for the first time in the second half, we're gonna throw it down to Michelle. Thank you, Danny. I had a chance to catch up with head coach Brian Schenzer and I asked him his thoughts on the first half, and he said it was frustrating but good when you think
about that. There was a goal, but overall it was frustrating. He thought the team could play way better in the first half than that they did, and that the main message was you could do just that at halftime to the squad, but they really have to focus on controlling the tempo and getting that second goal. We'd also really like to see Leo Chio more involved in this half. No substitutions at the half or any immediate plans at this point
to make any changes. Thanks Michelle, yep, And with that, let's give you the lineups for the Sounders. As Michelle mentioned, no changes coming out of behalf Stefan frying Gold, a back for Roldan, Yemar Reagan Knew who ten zero alongside Joe Paolo, Christian Roldan, Rozneck, Leo Chwo and then Jordan Morris up front. Two goals in two games for Jordan Morris, five goals against FC Dallas in the playoffs and he get on the score sheet
again. As the ball goes down the line, quick throw by intense he finds that man Jordan Morris striding forward in behind Christian Roldan, pressure by Tafari towards the end line, flicks towards the back post, bounced it away from Leo two who made a darting run from the goalkeeper that eluded all Sounders players and FC Dallas come away with it. Well, that's about the fastest three minutes that's gone by. It's and then end to end action so far in
this one. And FC Dallas know that they've got to get on the board and they're not just gonna sit back. They've shown it. They're going, they're pressing. Summers have to be careful here. It's all about breaking lines and good tight defending you saw Albert Rusnak at the start of the half almost signal like FC Dallas is pushing one a little bit higher. They're only gonna sit with one deep there, so a little concern as he'll be forced to
defend just a little bit more. So that's stay organized. And you see Josh and JP playing side by side at this point. But to Michelle's point, yeah, Leo Chwo has to get involved in this game. He's gonna be the one that hasn't seen much of the ball and now it's up to him. Yes, we've talked about in the first half. Is his speed isn't gonna work down this left hand side. It's got to be creative. It's got to be one twos. But that's up to Jordan and the guys
around him to find those combinations and bring something different to his attack. Bowl down the line by JP this time is we knew down that left time side? This near side the left challenged by Chums cut back by new top left corner of the bucks. Leo Chu's sitting on top of the bucks in the middle. JP tries to ride to or goes back to Jackson Reagan. Certainly a vote of confidence given by Brian Schmitzer. So he's the left winger,
didn't have the best of games down in Dallas. Got the nod again and that starting lineup Sounders have it farst side the right, Christian Rolldon walls it to Jackson Reagan, who's been comfortable and confident on the ball. They're kind of laughing at halftime, sometimes over confident times for our liking. If a doubt booted out, Sounds so far managed the game well. Shift said to
the Yema on the far side the right. It's the attacking lineup for Dallas, continued to harry and hustle, trying to put some pressure on the Sounders. But it goes down the right hand side Christiard Roldan whins it in with his right foot, finds Leo Chula left corner of the box, challenged by Jamat, tries to find between the legs, finds pot mccarl. Dallas are able to come away with it, Komungo being quite in this first half compared to that second game in Dallas. All goes down, the line goes over
the near touch line for a Sounders throw. GP gets it in quickly and the sound is gonna go again. You need to find that second goal. Not give Dallas a sniff here. So let's give you Niko Estevez's lineup coming out in this second half, pausing goal, a back forth to Marsibiaga, Tafari and Junkua. If the ball goes over the top assistant flag says the referee flag goes up. Jordan Moore is trying to get in behind the rest
of that lineup if they get set for this free kick. Hilimorendi Frazier and pomacarl in the middle, and then a combination of Comungo, Obrian and Ariola up front. A brad as you mentioned some tweaks. Looks like John Corn left unside is playing a lot higher, the shifting as a three as they build out the pap exactly and now you're gonna see Paul Ariola tuck inside and create a little bit of havoc. This is where a Tentsil's gotta almost sit
at home. Now, Junk, what's gonna go hide. It's gonna overload that leftcan side in that space in between the two center backs and the two number six is at this point is gonna where it's gonna be. Where FC Dallas looks to break everyone down. But you saw Schmidtz screaming at Leo, get why, get why? Get wide and then again go go go, And you saw him run into a problem again in the box. And this is where again this game could go. How Lao goes on this left hand
side. If he wants to stay on this pitch, he's gonna have to provide a little bit of something more. I think Schmtz already smells it. It's gonna give him another ten to fifteen minutes to get into this game. Here it goes Leo two striding through the middle of the field to lose a couple of Dallas players, gets clatter it into whereas that picks it up. Jordan Morris inside the box on his left foot, cuts back to his right left hand side, challenged by too Marci support is a tensium Dallas get men
behind. The ball has to come back to question rolled on and the attack gets snuffed out for the time being. Jpe back to Christian rolld on the near side the left now shifted over from his right hand side as his brother Alex is deep on that right hand side and support in the far side. The ball shifts from center and now to right. Alex Roldan comes off that right touch line, plays a ball square into Russneck goes down the line.
It's gonna trickle through to pause in goal. To get here in the fifty third minute game flying By, it was a incredibly fast forty five minutes to get here in the fifty third minute Sounders one Dallas nil ninety three point three KGr FM. Wherever you're listening to us in the car at home, you appreciate you joining us for this must win game for either team to confirm no
overtime. If it's a Tiger, straight to penalties. As Tafari plays it down the line, as Gamar reads it, junk was gonna go in cut around the corner by junk Quartz goes over the end line for a Sounder's goal. Kick remains sound as one Dallas nil. Bredemans. You already see the three in the back now for FC Dallas as they attack forward, you knew that they were gonna come with pressure. I didn't think that they would come with three in the back. But now Junko has got the freedom to get
forward. You saw that overloaded forces Albert now to defend more right, if they overload one side. It means Albert's defensive responsibilities tracking back. You had too much freedom in that first half to get forwards. Oh, defensively, he sorted it out right. You saw him say, okay, he saw a change in the first couple of minutes of this one. Now it's about getting into a rhythms. Basically three, three, five to two for FC
Dallas. We'll step up by Tafari, lots of confidence for the Dallas center back goes short to jiankra or one two around the corner to Ariola shoulders shoulder free kick given by doubt by the referee for Dallas and Christian rolled on and
they go quickly. Sounders just fell asleep for a split second. Kimongo has it near side the right, challenge by New who New goes to ground, Kamongo retains possession, challenge by attention, comes across really well, and the sound has come away with New who you know chewing support slowly but surely. Brian Schwetzez Craig Gate will agitate on that sideline. See if there's any changes
in the offing in the next few minutes. I think the home game when Sounders beat Dallas just a couple of weeks ago in that first game of the series, who is Lee laderok off the bench and had a really big impact playing the Bull into New Hoo for that wonderful cross to Marris. The bull goes down the line pushing roll done Jordan to the front post. Can he get there? He does, comes off the Shinovia's gonna be a corner cake for the Sounders. Remains Sounders one Dallas nil. Well done by the Sounders.
FC Dallas almost went into halftime and said we're gonna attack the same way that the Sounders are attacking. That's a three to five to two now for the Sounders. As Alex Rodon gets up up the pitch and it's good linking play there on the right hand side, Oftensio in the right spot causing that overload. Jordan checks his run and makes a hard run to the New York post. Center back does well to get to get his body in the way. Just get something on the ball. You see Pas giving the clap.
Jordan given the clap. It's a good build up from the Sounders. Corner cake for the Sounder. JP has it far side the right goes short to Rusnek. I've seen a couple of cornerkicks and free kicks off the training field. This time is whipped in by Alex Roldan headed by Atensio over the top. Goal kick. Dallas remains one nail Sounders. Tonight's match is presented by Regent's Blue Shield where connection is at the heart and a Healthy Life Regions Blue
Shield. Together we Health Dallas do get it going pressed by Sound as high up the field, ball goes into Ariolo heads it along. Sound is playing a little bit of fire three v three in the back right now. It's a little bit of patience and time experience. But ball goes by JP down the left hand side. Do Leo two have his legs on Ibiaga big body against Leo Chu, but he managed to stay on his feet. Flicks by your Biaga go square top of the box to Rosneck twenty yards from Gold look
to Jordan Morris left corner one be one against Fraser. Because that's why fuck tries to find that farst side. Slices it wide over the end line. Goal kick Dallas remains one nil. That's where Leo Chwo is it will to stretch his legs. He does the right thing there. He's lined up against the center back. He knows he can beat him for speed, not the right back, and he does well to push by almost a yellow card for FC Dallas and a good entertain good patience from Rusnak as he finds Jordan.
He gets to the top of the box and that's where you want to just curl that one into the back post. Jordan wanted to take the paint off the post, I think, and instead goes out for an FC Dallas roll
paper. A good build up from the sounders there. Well, Dallas are kind of baiting in the sound as they play a high press, but leaving it must have four B three sometimes the three V three on the back, so soundestly, you'd be a little bit aware if Dallas come away from the press wants to get exposed in a one B one situation as Dal do build the Nila moreendis look calm and compose in the middle of the field with the ball at his feet. Pomi Carl, a homegrown player for Dallas, just
wriggles free of Leo chew Andy Rose on the bench. I think a round of applause that Leo Cheu just appreciating the defensive effort. We'll start to see some of the action happen on our right hand side as the Sounder subs getting warmed up. Because the ball goes into Areola just skirts clear of Ariola. Alex Wardn's be able to find it and find the feet of Jordan Morris onety one, but Sibiaga can he beat it. George's left foot drives it towards
the front post. Good saved by pause, really positive run by Jordan Morris. The good saved by the Dallas goalkeeper wants fantastic work from the Sounders, baiting FC Dallas to play short, go ahead. We can cover everything long tonight. The Sounders are switched on, just like the second half in Dallas,
and it's a great ball into Jordan. He does his faint where he makes like he's gonna go to the right, takes it to his left foot and he gets off that shot with some pace and power and it takes all of Paus's right pods and get that one out of the back of the net. But good build up from the Sounders again continuing to apply a pressure. But it's it's the counterpress that Schmtz talks about that Leo Chu has to provide that puts the Sounders in such a good position to then get forward. And
the other point is we saw it in FC Dallas. Is you know Komungo's left footed right in that first five minutes, It's almost like knew who didn't know that he was left foot? It shows him inside he whips in a good ball tonight. He's been overplaying Komungo, forcing him to go to right, use the line as a defender, and new has been much better tonight and is defending and that allows him to get into the attack as well. Well. It's that man Kumunga who does come off the field for an early
sub for Dallas. Eugene answer the Gardaian comes on the field a sub in the last game as well. Impact of the game helped find that third goal for FC Dallas right to the death for obrianne see Brian Schweitz is gonna make a change. We're getting here in the fifty ninth minute, sounds leading one goal to nil after a first half goal from Albert Russneck. This score update is presented by Regents so Brett. Is there any chance that Brian might change
things up? It's been alightful like swamp for Ladero on that left hand side, for Leo hues hav An impact. Is there any way that Morris would slight and left and Brawil would go down the middle of a couple of choices minute It's possible, but the way that Jordan's been playing up Tom, I think there's too much of a threat for Jordan to shade out to the left. I don't think like for light speed is gonna it's gonna be what wins
this for the Sounders. I think up bringing someone like Nico on on the left hand side, that will make the right back work a little bit more. Nicco's gonna find that space inside and it's gonna open up lanes for everyone else on the pitch. And you just saw Schmeetz get up and point at Leo and point to Schweitzer's head again, just like Michelle said, say, get your head into the game, get your head and keep going, keep going. There can't be these lows. There's thirty minutes left to get to
the next round. This is where you do the work. Two weeks break until the next round of games in the semifinals in the week of November twenty fifth twenty sixth, which have a team gets through, and of course we're opening that the Sounder isn't gonna host LAFC. So in the Dallas playing more players than the attacking third of the field, you see Aubrien pal mc kahl Ansa Narioli is a straight line of four attacking players, leaving Frazier and Illamorendi
in the middle and then the back four just sitting deep. Right now as they defend the sound As the ball comes from center by Jackson Reagan to the left, ball bounces, Leo Chew Waits doesn't get there. Potensio steps so this time does find de Leo Chew. It's the feet of Rosneck. Quick little ball to JP to the feet of Jordan Morris who's able to wriggle Freeze talked about adapting his game, playing with his back to gold more. Leo Chew top of the box, a little wall pass, de Lao Chu heavy
touch. It was a good little combination with Christian rolled on. He had a chance to take a good touch, got out of his feet and it was pausing. The Dallas goal was able to pick it up and that is where Leo Chwo is now mixed up his game a little bit. Come inside, find those little one too. It's a great little one too. He finds another one then just off the right foot. If he takes a better
touch there, he's clear in on gold. But as you see Jordan now tracking back for Leo Chwo, Christian dropping back allowed Lao to get a breath. Jordan can get a breath out here on the left hand side too. But it's a recognition from Jordan that says, Okay, I've noticed Leo Chu's stepped up. I'm gonna drop back and cover for my teammates well. Sounders FC socket is presented by prominent Swedish official healthcare partner of Sounders FC. Certainly
see Brian Schwantzer Bran get a little more agitating on the sideline. I think he's realizing the importance of the time period we're in. As Dallas crushing press higher or goes along by GP, finds the feet of Christian Roldan bundled over by Safari. Nothing given by the referee. Dallas center back comes away with it. It was Tafari form a CLU player spent one year the two Dilegit Pete Feuinger's Gemar hooks the ball clear who was answer was able to flip the
ball off from a challenge of Jackson Reagan. The Sounders bench get up on their feet. Just try to understand why that wasn't a foul given Christian Roldan bor gets under the feet of Pum McCall and the referee is gonna call it on a free kick on pump on Christian rolled on on pumbc caull. You can hear the crowd just expressing their frustrations. A free kick for FC Dallas. This is where the referees to get it. He could have negated that
whole sequence just by calling a simple foul. Christian's in behind the defenders, grabbing the jersey. Of course, you feel pressure, you're gonna go down. If that doesn't mean he's trying to draw a red card, it's just it's a voul. It's a simple voul. And then you come down and a player's frustrated. Yes, Christian has to be a little bit smarter there, but at the end of the day, it's up to the referee to control the pace of the game. And just like it's a playoffs, just
like the players one mispass mistackle can change the course of a game. Pum McCall has it with his left foot right in front of the sound his bench on the Dallas roy hand side. He's gonna kill this one in as the sound is hold deadline on top of the eighteen. Now they drop a couple of steps. Bull comes in, ball bounces around and it's Ariol who just turnsents clips the back of the stension goes over the end line. This is your referee' flight goes up. We could be an offside call, but good
delivery by Pomit call eskape for the sounds. I'm lucky for the sounders. NFC Dallas gets called off side of that. Just what we talked about, these little moments in a game, little lapses that can change the course of just about everything. Bill goes into CHRISTI hold on go a little bit time and space. As Jordan Morris makes a running behind, he holds the ball up. Well goes back to Atensio. Leo chu keeeling off his left hand side, tries to flick it around the corner. Abr It takes no chances.
Launched that out of bounds, the bull goes out hits the top of the dugout. We're gonna throw it down to Michelle. Thank you, Danny, Yes, just echi what you and Brad have been saying. There has been quite a bit of frustration on the bench from the coaching staff, just especially in the last couple of sequences that we've seen with either the lack of
calls or the calls that have actually been taking place on the pitch. There's been a lot of communication to Leo Chu, specifically about certain positioning and overall, really the messages keep your head in this, guys, keep the tempo up, keep it going, and stay in control. And so hopefully we see the singers continue to do that. Thanks Michelle. Yep, it's all about controlling, folks. We talked about it the early parts of the broadcast.
Schmet's leaning on that experience of this Sounders team. As Reagan heads it up in the air, Bob passes around, Ariola, puts his foot behind it, launches it up. It's the night sky, perfect night for soccer tonight here at Luminfield. Zibyaga steps in, plays it to Tafari Dallas trying to find that opening goal. The last two games, Dallas have only had two shots on goal in the second half. It's le Or two has it left hand side, a little bit of time and space, challenged by Abiaga.
Can he go past the big center back, cuts it back top of the box, whereas thatck has it top of the box, doesn't it? JP, And it was a shot that would deflects off pomiccar goes over the end line. It's be a corner kick for the Sounders. Sound as one Dallas Nilo from the Sounders here a good little attacking play and it's all about Layotwo in this moment. He seems to be fading just a little bit out
of this game. And then all of a sudden he gets matched up with someone that's not the right back for FC Dallas, and he's able to get in get behind a good little knock ball back and Risknak picks out the right pass. JP laces that one. The Sounders get another corner kick opportunity.
Sixth corner kick for the Sounders. Two hands up in the air by Albert Rusnak In swinging cornerkick with his right foot and it comes towards the front post, clear easily by Fraser, but finds the foot of Alex Roldan's gonna kill it in with his right foot top of the six yard box, flick clear by it. The August could be another corner kick for the Sounders, this time on their right hand side. The JP jogs overs to click the ball. If we get here in the sixty seventh minute, big game for the
Sounders, must win game for the Sounders. So far, so good. There's JP. He just trots over, puts the ball out a yard away from the corner. Flexs has been outswinger, this time with his right foot. Sounds making their moves towards the front post, headed clear by Ariola, comes up back to JP, brings it down well, cuts it towards the end line. Click towards the back post, headed clear, and it's Roseeck who slices it wide. It's gonna be a goalkick. Dallas Sounders want Dallas
nil Sounders with a penalty kickshout here. Jordan seems convinced here that he's been wrapped up as he's trying to make a run near post. There but another good swung in ball for the Sounders, and Brusknack tries to laughs that one, just like he did in the first half and into the third one will be the chart tonight for Rusnak outside the box and I's building up again.
Harz had it just outside his six yard box, launched it along with his right foot, easily read by now who comes off his chest, collects it well. Jack's Reagan his left foot looks it long pressure by both answer no Briam Tamasi knocks it over the top, no cushion headed by end set. Then she finds O Brian inside the books on the six yard books led by Jackson Reagan, calmly played out by Yama Flick Troy corna by JP who hooks it away and it comes off the toe and I think it was the shout
and call of JP and the walkaway sold it. It's gonna be a throwing for the Sounders. The Sounders fortunate there and it's gonna take that from FC Dallas and that is that long ball in behind. But the differences for the Sounders when we're playing the ball along, you have the midfielders that are coming up for those second balls. FC Dolls lacking that under too much pressure as they send the ball on the commitment to get forward and win the second one
isn't there for them. But even then the Sounders with a last ditch effort from Jackson there to clean that one up. Good defending from the Sounders, so we know FC Dallas is gonna come with pace. Now, now is it the time to bring on a player like Nico to settle this game down? How many playoff games has he been in? How many big games for the Sounders has he led? And with twenty minutes left, I think it's a great opportunity to bring him on control the Pacers game. Win some free
kicks, take the sting out of it. As Dallas starts to build momentum, Gno on the left hand Site plays it in clear by JP. We do see some movement on the Sounders bench and that movement is Nico Ladero as he puts on his shin pads before he makes his move on the field. It's gonna be Dallas Who're gonna make a couple more changes. Dante Seely, son of former FC Dallas and Wait Forest player Scott Seely comes off, Frasier
comes on. It's gonna be Obrien so a lightful like switch with Dante Ceily gonna play along that attacking three Obrian, the goal scorer of that third goal, is gonna come off and there's gonna be Jesus him Andez It's gonna come on the field striker to play high up the field to attacking moves by Nico Estevez. Now nothing to lose, all or nothing for FC Dallas, splitting possession fifty to fifty in this second half. So certainly playing much more on
the front foot. And listen to the round of applause as the crowd recognize it's the right time for the right player, Nico Ladero bouncing up and down. Bryan Schmittz's commented during the week, so his incredible attitude in Prattic. Have to make that announcement. This will be his final season for the Sounders
and Nie comes. Can he have a stabilizing effect? Can he find that second goal as Leo Chu comes off the field, So Grez, he looks like to be able bit of like forul like switch because it has been in prior games. We know Nco will certainly come off that left hand side and proquite a little bit more support in the middle. Yeah, well, Niko's the guy who's played as a number six, has a number eight for this team as well. He's played on the left, he's played on the right.
As a player with tremendous soccer IQ, expect him to be the one that stretches this FC Dollars team. Yep, just like that, getting the referees face right. He's the guy now to lead us to victory tonight. The Sounders have to be careful of new player coming on for FC Dallas and him and Az and a pure number nine. How do you deal with the pure number nine? Is as they send numbers forward, it's gonna be that
aerial threat. We're gonna get the ball wid They're gonna start swinging in balls, something that the Sounders haven't seen from FC Dallas throughout the series of three games. Let's give you the rest of that bench. If you mentioned Nikoladero on the field for Leo Chew and Ariaga Montero, a there, Kellen Rode, Steph Cleveland and the goal Cody Baker, Oben Vargas, and then of course the sound is number nine ral Ruy Diaz still sitting and waiting for his
introduction. He's gonna get some minutes on the field to add to his league leading nine goals in MLFS playoffs active players. The ball gets driven in by JP towards the bat post, just over the top by Jackson. Reagan is asking for a ConA kick, nothing given by the assistant referee. It's gonna be a goalkick down Jermaine Sounders one, Dallas nil. So Brian Schmez is just making the movie all expected. Nicolodeero is gonna have that calming effect on
that left hand side. It's gonna be affectors. Knew Who's gonna have license to push a little bit higher if Nico comes in side steps forward to answer, and so briggles free loose to all by answer, goes out towards the Sounders bench, clatters off the side. At the Sounder's bench, gonna be a throne for Knew who right in front of Brian Schmtz, who's on his feet just orchestrating, demanding more from his players. Two weeks until the next
game. Leave it all on the field is gonna be his message. The ball goes into Nicoladero, and would you have it, he gets bundled over from behind, free kick for the Sounders. And we've seen that many many times right since he came into the league. He's pretty much led the league and fowls one for the Sounders, and that's just intelligence at its finest. All driven into the chest of Morris. Top of the box is Christian Roldon.
Quick ball out to the right hand side to Alex Roldon one bi one versus Junko comes towards his left foot, goes back to Christi, wh whips it in along top of this eighteen go to GP fires it into the chest of Tafari. Good strike by the Sounders number six Blenty Dallas hook it clear and slice it clear, but it goes over the far sideline for a Sounders throw. Can they find that all important second goal? Let's get here.
In the seventy third minute e QC pitch lumin Field ninety three point three KGr FM, Sounders must win game, needing one nill for a first half goal by Roznek. Jordan Moore steps over the ball. Good little combination with Christian Rolldon Lila Morendi comes back and helps comes off the heel of Alex Roldan. It's gonna be a throwing for Dallas, so Nko s s Brad He's made his moves now added those attacking players pulled off Frasier, that defensive midfield player.
They got nothing to lose gonna find that goal. You know, one of the most difficult things for teams to come in here, especially players, to come into Loomenfield on this turf and make an impact immediately. You don't see it very often. There's something about this turf that is a home field advantage for the Sounders. It always has been. If you get a little bit of rain, even better, and you saw it on the seat on
to his last pass straight out of bounds, they come thousand transitions. Don't say Seay's the bull court and anything just tramples over JP and so Brenton. My question to you is, as they play more plays forward, is that gonna require now a tens here in JP just to sit be a little bit safer. Me, no problem. If I'm the center backs, I'm saying you just sit in front of me. Let's make a block of four in
front of us. And like I said, it's difficult for teams to come in here and really play their good brand of soccer, just like it's actually tough to go to FC Dallas and play It's a different type of grass that's been matted down. Sounders have to use that to their advantage. Newcomers on
the field make the tackle. Mariola switches around the game up, but it's his center back Jackson Reagan reads it danger well, ball goes over the top, headed by push them all done, finds the foot of Jordan Morris and the far side. The sound is right, so they attack the north goal to our left. Rosneck middle of the field, forty yards from goal, rolls it into Nicolodero, chucked in, plays it first time to New who back to Albert Rosneck to Jordan Morris back to goal. Pressured by pomccaral,
tries to flick it to Nicolodero, isn't able to find him. New knocks it down the line just as a referee flag goes up. It's the factors that balance between playing quick, trying to find that second goal, but knowing, hey contain. If we keep the score of the way it is, if Stefan Foud get a sixteenth clean sheet of the year, sounders move on.
Yeah. I think it's it's a case out of Sounders, like you said, is sitting in that block of four, keeping everything tight, forcing everything outside and making sure that when you do win the ball like Jordan just did, it's connecting the simple pass. You don't have to press for a second goal right now. If it comes great, if you catch him on the break, great, but if not, just connect. Wait for the game to develop for you and allow Nico to get into this game as he
will. You've already saw him win a couple free kicks, and if he can get himself into this game, the Sounders are gonna find themselves off and running. The good last ten minutes of this one good bullbite. Nikoladero finds the foot of Pushy Goolden, who releases zneck driving forward. Jordan Morris in behind, finds ladera left corner to the box, drives it intoward. Jordan Morris goes over the end line. It's gonna be a corner cake for the
Sounders. Came off the heel at Iibbiaga. So as the Sounders get set and JP trots over to that far side, that fuck corn to flag. We're gonna throw it down to Michelle. Just add on to what Rad was saying about the pitch conditions. First, the rain did start falling here at Lumenfield just as the second half started. As for how difficult it is for
opposing teams to come in and play on this turf. The Dallas sub subs bench, the entire bench was out warming up for the entire intermission at halftime, obviously prepairing and trying to get as ready as they can when they were called on to come on the pitch. Thanks Michelle, you have certainly been a success for the Sounders here at home eighteen games, unbeing in the playoffs
of regular time. As the ball gets drilled towards the back post off the training field, didn't work this time, flipped around the corner by Yea Mark and then off the heel of answer slashed wide by Alex Roldan headed forward by Ladero potential. I was gonna get called for that free kick, Melissa. We remember these the game against RSL just a couple of years ago, but all the way through extra time nil nil RSEL didn't have a shot and goal
and born eventually in pks. All right, now, FC Dallas, even with this concerted pressure in this second half, they've certainly picked up the pace in possession, no shots, goal, nothing for Friday to do so far. Tibby arg had to go to the referee frustrated. There's fellow center that got clipped on the heels. Pretty innocuous with a bit of high press. Yeah, a couple of high presses there. And if you got to take the player or the ball one of the two, because if he gets free,
then the Sounders are off on the car. I got no problem. The bench has no problem committing those fouls. To take a minute or two. It's a quick turnover from FC Dallas Sounders flicking the ball from center to the far side the left, collected by Rusnak nicely out the air, be able to retain possession, ladera support to his left. He goes into the middle to Jordan Morris twenty five yards from goal, left of center back to a tensio or control and patience for the Sounders now is him and has put
some pressure on game. Are nothing silly needed for the Sounders As they build the ball gets flicked down the channel. That's okay for the Sounders. As Junker chases it down, lays it into pass in the Dallas goal and he comes to this near side to Ibiaga, knocks it long towards the feet of answer, challenged by Nu just back to Gold press him back. He does that, ibi Arga knocks it along and then Lagerov sees the dangers and able
to collect him. But it's Christian Roldan as ever right place, right time, sounds number seven and he retained. Possession comes from Jemar to new on this near side the left in behind it goes Jordan Morris makes a nice run. Ibiaga reach the play offside given by the assistant referee. Sound has put some high press up. Pomer Car is able to come away with it.
Wriggles free of Ladero's pressure, goes square to Jianqua has a bit of space in front of him, but there's Christian Wroldon again, get him back in a defensive position. And if nothing else for Leo true, if he just watches Christian woldon his efforts off the ball, he would learn a ton. Yeah, I think it's it's a matter of effort at the end of the day. But you know it's a young player can pull go in his seay
and it's Jackson Reagan ask for the goal kick. He gets the goal kick and the Sound has retained the one goal to no lid here in the eightieth minute and The score update is presented by Provident Swedish. And you can't you can't have it all as a young player, right, And so Leo two is learning and hopefully watching what he needs to do and he has right we came in here, we asked a lot of questions about Leo two. Is he ready for Major league soccer? Is he ready to be a sounder?
He put in a lot of work in the offseason to get ready, and he's had a fantastic year. He's been lights out and now it's a matter of progressing even more. And it's okay to have I wouldn't even call it set that. It's just a matter of figuring out how to mix up your game just a little bit, because as players figure you out. And Steve Zachlani was light and fast, but he was able to figure it out in Major League soccer. Players were bigger and faster than they were in college.
But he's able to now find the one twos, be creative, right, link up with other players on the field to mix up your game. And when Lao two does do that, he's going to be a top player for this club moving forward. Ten minutes left here and if you see pitcher lumin Field Sounders leading one goal to nil against FC Dallas. The ball goes along, comes off the back of Irbiaga. It's gonna be a throwing for the Sounders. As a referee just gonna bring it back. A couple of subster
make mention of packs. The pot McColls comes off the field. Sebastian Lagette comes on an Areola, the experienced number seven goalscorer in that second game, and that first goal comes off the field, and Knitza Berlang comes on the field. Twenty twenty two draft pick breakout year and twenty three on a gold he got more minutes on the field. Chrishir Roldan gets clattered into in the middle of the park. It's gonna be a free kick for the Sounders and
grad This might be something the Sounders actually don't mind. The game just kind of slows down. Win the fowls when you can take the sting out of the game. How many times have we played against teams that have come into here, what we've gone down to maybe Central America, right, and they've had that savviness to just get out of here with a victory, because at the end of the day, it's about getting out of here with a victory that with ten minutes left, nine minutes left, it doesn't have to be
pretty. And if I'm center back and I'm Steph, I'm saying, hey, if you feel any pressure at all, launch it into the thirtieth row. We're fine with that. We'll get reset. These substitutions for Dallas haven't come into this game and really made an impact. I think like they wanted to. Even the guys that they've changed because of injury or substitution, whatever it's been, they haven't been impact players. Repsy Dallas Port. We're defensive
minded in a way. I could see if they were up one nothing they'd be doing their job. But they just haven't provided much to really test the sounders, as evident by zero shots, zero shots on goal to make certain the first two games it was the first half where Dallas got that joint. The second half has been as struggle as a sound to start to impact that
game. As the ball goes long to Jackson Wag and heads it top of them up headed by Yam, a Sound has retained possession goes to Alex Roldan who drives it all the way back to Stephan Fry, the Sounders to take their positions, launches log, goes over the top, It bounces in between Ibiagu, who eventually reads the play, miscontrols. It comes off the hand of Ibiaga. I see it. Referee doesn't see it. They're probably two hundred yards away. Referee is about six gives nothing, launches it long,
does pause in the Dallas goal goes. Celia goes up. It's gonna bounce three, four, five times into the hands of Stephan Fry and picks it up and again. Words for the referee. A little bit of inconsistency on the play, but potentially blinded by Ibiaga. I'm sure how that's not a handboy lame He puts his hand up and then it hits off of his hand. It's a great opportunity for the Sounders to win a free kick twenty yards
away from Bold. Jordan Morris backs Toto Ibiag and the free kick given, but Darrow miscontrols it and it's gonna be answer is going to come away that this near side the right challenge by GP goes inside to Illamarendi for the leged all goes down the line in GP was able to pick it off because Dalla's habit on this near side the right what comes back to pitsiber lank middle of the field, challenged by Rosneck. We're going to just make a correction on
that subject. Was Tomas you came off? Ariola is still on the field because actually shifted from that left hand side now playing on that right hand side as an advanced attacking right back Dalla's habit and the sound is half of the field, free kick, middle of the park. Sound has holding their line top of the eighteen yard box. It sounds need to be strong now, no shots on goal yet for FC Dallas. The ball gets clipped in, headed up in the air by Alex, challenged by his brother Christian, more
bounced around, cleared eventually by yama Is. Ladero goes up. Nothing given by the referee. Again if Jordan Morris has it comes off the heel of Ariola and there's a free kick, and there's a yellow card for Ariola, who's in sense by the referee's decision. But it was Jordan Morris a wriggle free and it was a blatant trip by Ariola. Eventually on the halfway line. It's gonna be a free kick to the Sounders get here in the eighty
fifth minute, Sounders leading one goal to nil. If they can retain and maintain this sixteenth clean sheet for Stephen Fried, they will go through to the conference semifinals and host LAFC, who were comprehensive winners against Vancouver, winning five goals to two in that first game and then one nil up in Vancouver tonight. I think you Svetzer has been happy with them, just about everyone on the pitch. The tactical sub are bringing Nico on, but no subs until
Nico came on, possibly one more. How many times have we seen that this season? Or Schmen's rolls out a lineup, it's gonna play almost a full ninety not very often. It's a credit to the Sounders tonight. It's zero shots, zero shots on goals from me. FC Dollas keeping them off the board and Stephan Fry on his way to another clean sheet. To see how Ben Marcas is gonna come on and fill in. But credit to the Sounders. I mean they've played extremely well tonight. They've negated everything from the
south from FC Dollas tonight. Well, A couple of groans in the crowd but will tear the reason why shall Paolo is gonna be walking off the field, But he's walking off pretty gingerly. The fans stand up on their feet to give the Sounders number six a well deserved round of applause. Been carrying some niggling knee injuries, niggling knee pain in the last couple of weeks,
just working himself through it. Giving a real good shift tonight as Oben Vargas is gonna come on and play alongside Josh attenshire two young men to anchor the center of the field for the Sounders. What a vote of confidence for Brian Schwetzer on his young players. Of what that way through the Sounders' ranks. Now try and see this game out with the ball bounces halfway line, hooked up by Josh Attenci, flip forward by him and z Obt Fogas hooks it
forward. Jordan Morice goes up, doesn't win it. Flick forward by Lucyette, finds ans in the middle of the field, challenged by Ovid Fogas comes to this near side the right, so Ariolo clips that far post to him and as across the six job box cleaned well by Yama. But that's the challenge the Sounds is gonna happen these final minutes. It's all or nothing, Brett. That's the difference. Now, bringing on a true number nine, a big body up top, you can start to swing in the ball.
And it took them fifteen minutes to get that first cross in. The Sounders do well to defend that one. Yamar coming up clutch, Jackson marking up well, all on the right spot on that play for the Sounders. Sounders just have to be careful not to drop back with five six guys in a line and make it predictable for FC Dallas as they try to press forward. Answer has it just near side the right whips it in well, headed clear by Jack's rain on the front post area. There's Dallas who collected it.
Sounds eleven men behind the ball. Illamorendi ten yard square past the Junker's gonna clip it him his left foot and there's yea mis He's done all year, steps forward and clears the balls. We get here in the eighty eighth minute, Sounders leading one goal to nil. Ball gets clipped in by Junker, headed over and wide by new Hoop. It's gonna be over the end line for a Dallas corner kick. These are the chances brad Evans where sounders have
to be sharp. It's all about one B one situations, clear lines. All the Sounders now seating, everyone on the bench, no one warming up. Thought, maybe you bring on Ariaga because you know that these balls are going to start being swung into the box. An extra big body the Sounders look happy to defend. Hunka has a left foot in stream corner kick on the right hand side, comes in top the sixth punch clear by step and Fry top of the box. Hili Morendi goes up headed clear I knew more
bouncers. Jordan Morris has it headed towards Ladera middle of the field, tries to clip it over the top potential gets clattered into by Ibiyaga. Referee gives nothing again pretty deliver with that whistle in his mouth. Not much given these final ten minutes or whipped him by are all headed on It'safarian. Eventually Fry flex it comfortably. He's gonna push up his back line as the Sounders see
out these final minutes of the game. As you get here in the last minute of ninety will see what the extra mile stopp is time is gonna be Pure goes long into the feet of Jordan Morris. I had to get all my reads and in the last minute, and this game has been fast, and you knew that FC Dollars had to come out and apply pressure and the Sounders having to defend here for the last couple of minutes. And that's okay. The
Sounders can withstand some pressure. But three or four minutes ago, Nico Letto tries to spring in Jordan Morrison behind instead of just keeping that ball. Drava foul, just like this snack. Does your DRASA foul? Take some time off a clock? Milk it milk, take a yellow card. It's fine, We've got a couple of weeks to rest. You see Christian Rodan still
continuing to press the efforts. There's next three minutes. The Sounders are gonna be under the gun here as about Dallas tries to launch everything forward well to your point, Brian Schmizer made his move quick Ladero one put open Barga song. It's head of the row. Wolves potentially goes well, best solid eleven players in the field to see this one out seven five steps forward. Is
gonna take this free kick. He'll launch it long down this near left hand side for the Sounders headed clear by Ibiaga, knocked up in the air by Rusnak. Jordan Morris is gonna challenge headed clear by Ibiaga to the foot of Ariolo's gonna launch it long sound is he to get back and defenders Safari knocks it down left hand side one v one between Seeley and Alex Holdan. Look
at his brother. Christian gets back and helps him. Brilliant play by Christian Roldan helps his brother out when he was in a one v one sit situation. As Brian Schmetz has said, that's what they did in their backyard for so many years. Great play by experienced number seven. If the ball comes in headed into the box, heady clear by Yamar on top of the boxes sea he comes in again, headed clear by Yemar again, But it's to
be Dallas Who're gonna have this final flurrying overtime here at Luminfield. Can they find the decided equalizing gold Ball gets whipped in cleared by Neu up into the air, Jordan Morris backing into you Bi Yaga. Can he hold him off? No he doesn't, It's gonna be Oben Vargas clears his lions only to the foot of Ariolho launches it in, headed clear by Yamar. Frantic stuff in these final minutes. Christian Roldan has it and rolls it down the line
on the far side the right. Jordan Morris picks it up back to gold holds it up. Good play by the Sounders. Number thirteen goes in short give it away cheaply by Christian Roldan, and then there's Jackson Reagan slide so to the deck and the fans stand up pushing that team defend this goal get
here. In the final seconds, ball launches in headed cleared by Yema, finds Dante seely free on the left hand side, did a whipping him with his left foot, and that Stephen Fry and the celebration from the crowd is as good of the goal a Stefan Frey collects it falls to the ground.
Hopefully see these final minutes and seconds out bred Evans. Yeah, it took FC Dallas until the final five minutes to start launching some balls into the box and that's been the only thing that's disorganized the Sounders and put him under any sort of pressure. I thought it would come with twenty minutes left. Send everything forward. They waited the last couple of minutes of this game. The Sounders under the gun. Here is a desperate defending time for the Sounders.
Three kick for Dallas who was Josh Attensho came in strung over the top Knitza Blengg. That's gonna be a free kick for FC Dallas and rub it Ford fifteen yards. Referee needs to sort that out. Russneck needs to sort it out. Get it back. It's gonna be Illamorendi. Every single player other than the free kick take it inside or top of the eighteen yard box for the Sounders. This is it. Can the Sounders retain this clean sheet?
Put them through Ilamorandi clips it in. Sounders need to clear their lines. The bounces once bounces twice and there's the referees whistle. The Sounders win off the back of a Russneck goal to put them through to the Western Conference semifinals. Brand your final thoughts. A fantastic effort from the Sounders tonight to get in to that locker room after this one one nothing. It's a huge lift off the Sounders back not making the playoffs last year, and to show that
you've got the grit do it in three games. And I actually think this is good for the Sounders. You get this one out of the way, and now you only have two weeks off until your next game. You don't have a full pre weeks off, so they'll be able to get their legs, stay in rhythm with desperate defending at the end with the Sounders hole tight, great performance and sometimes you need that, right, you need a bit
of adversity. They went into Dallas, they lost that game, and as we mentioned in the beginning of the broadcast, sometimes a loss at the right time of the season could refocus and rebalance the team and allow you to pushboard in that final run in and certainly fell out of Sounders use that experience at the end of the game and got that sixteenth clean sheet to Stephen Froy, it was just fantastic sixteen clean sheets on the year. I mean, he
should beat goalkeeper of the Year with his stats alone. But like you said, a loss at the right time can galvanize the team. I got onto the plane afterwards after that FC Dallas game and I sat down with Rusnak and we both said, they're not that good to be beating the Sounders, but probably could have been four to one down in Dallas, and they've a couple of things this week. Came out with the right attitude and to do it at home, the fans came out. It should give them confidence moving forward.
In the biggest thing about this is it's another home game, right the home game against LAFC, a marquee matchup, and hopefully this crowd comes out again because we're gonna need them against a fantastic team in LAFC. Yet Monday night in that first game at six o'clock, the fans came out in droves, and again tonight full house here at Looming Field. As Brad mentioned, Conference Western Conference Semifinals. It's gonna be the weekend of the twenty fifth or
twenty sixth of November. Tickets go on sale tomorrow. To the Sounders, they know who they're gonna play in LAFC. They also know if they win that game, they will continue forward and host as the highest seed in the West after Saint Louis losing against Kansas. So sound has got it done,

How would you describe and
break down your teeth performance tonight? Yeah, it was a playoff game. You felt the intensity from the first minute. Not a lot of beautiful soccer, you know, a lot of intensity, a lot of battles, a lot of tools. Just really proud of the boys to fight through this and to get another clanche and another win. Another congratulations is in order, and this one specifically for you tonight mark your three hundredth match with the Sounders,
putting you right behind Ozzio Alonzo and Stephen Fry. Congratulations on hitting that milestone. What does that mean to you to have such a huge career moment for you in such a significant match. What is it about this stadium, this atmosphere, these fans, that makes it just so special. Well, we're hard to play against at home. You know, we feed off our fans. Intensity is always there. You know. We we play hard, hardball defensively, we don't give up a lot of chances and you know, we have
a lot of quality and we're gonna score goals. So credit to our to our boys to come through today onto the semifinals up against LAFC next won't happen for about two weeks though, because the international break. How do you guys keep you know, obviously enjoy tonight's moment, we'll keep a momentum going, so you're ready to go in a couple of weeks. Yeah, I think get our bodies right first and foremost. You know, it's been a long
year. We've played forty plus games this year already, and you know it's taxing. So for us, get our bodies right, number one and then number two, have a good training week two weeks and that'll prepare for Alassen. Christian always appreciate the time again, Congratulations on the win tonight. Thank you so much. Christian Jackson back to you. Thanks Michelle. It's Michelle
down there with Christian Roldan. Congrats to him three hundred number three hundred and rave green tonight for Christian Roldan. I should quickly mention before we get going to tonight's Toyota, the man of the match is Jual Paulo. Phenomenal game. An amazing assist from Jual paul on the Sounders Loan goal. You look at Toyota Dealers are proud to present tonight's man of the match. It is
the thirty six minute strike. Al Albert Russnack hits it, Jual Paulo assists it and the Sounders win by that goal won to nothing sixteenth clean sheet of the year as well. Bringing it into the postmatch show, Jackson felt to Lamar Nagel Pete Feuing will be joined by Diego Audio here in a few minutes. Lamar, I'll start with you in just initial reactions from what was a tense nerve wracking My post was at about a million, but the Sounders got
it done. Dude. Let's storrty in opening thoughts. Yeah, they figured out a way, right, They got their goal and kind of epitomizes this season, right. Not a lot of goals, no prolific goal scorer, they had some opportunities, a few guys near the PK spot ended up missing, but ended up getting one goal. But they're also a great defensive team ended up getting the shutout. I was surprised with Dallas's no real change the
tactics coming out of the end of the second half. We thought they'd be a little bit more aggressive, and even as it got into like the seventy seventy fifth minute, you would think, all right, we're gonna push a little bit more. We're gonna put maybe one at least one guy on the two center backs and if anything Squeaks is free, we can release pressure. But they didn't do that. They almost they didn't sit back, but they
also didn't push push that high. So that was a little surprising. Good news for the Soundings though good news for the Sounders, and at the end the last seven to ten minutes plus the stoppage time, a little nervy. Yeah. Right, they put Tafari up front and it's a good target. You got probably the best header off of the game for Dallas. But Christian said it, you know, it's the playoff game. It's not gonna be pretty. And I think gomaz Androtti must ahead of the ball about seven or
seven times probably in the last ten minutes, just getting balls out. He and Jackson Reagan. And that's old school. Roll your sleeves up in battle. There's not much you can do. And it looked a little bit like hockey at the end where they're sending the puck down trying to ice, you know, but then it's right back down their throat. So good for the grit. Sixteen sixteen shutouts, right, Jackson. So that's wonderful for Stephan Fry and uh, that's a great win. That's a great win, and
it is unique that we've got two weeks now. But as Christian said, now get the bodies right and they get ready for Los Angeles. I love the fact that he called it his beautiful club, right. And then we talked to Alex Roldon before the game, We talked to Christian rolled on after the game. We got Jordan Morris and Jackson Reagan, two local kids, right, Josh and kell and Rowe and a bunch of other guys that they're all local guys, right, And so that's a great win. The crowd
deserves a lot of credit for showing up and getting behind their team. And I expect it to be even better for Los Angeles. Yeah, exactly, because Los Angeles will be coming up and just about a couple weeks. We believe it's the weekend of November twenty fifth, twenty sixth, So we'll stay tuned there in terms of that, because the Raverreen have officially moved to those
Western Conference semifinals against LAFC. Match will be held here at Lumenfield. The Sounders, you know, they are the top remaining seat in the Western Conference, so they will host both the conference semifinal game against LFC and then if they were to advance from that, they would also host then the conference championship then the following week as well. But in terms of that Conference semifinals, stay tuned for information in terms of the match time, the date we'll have
that all for you. Tickets go on sale tomorrow actually November eleventh to ten am Pacific time, so tomorrow at ten am and if you're listening to this on the podcast version and it will be Saturday morning ten am November eleventh at the soundersfc dot com slash tickets to grab yours together as one, we march forward to the Western Conference semifinals and yeah. I mean, you look at
this match and the Sounders had a lot of chances to Lamorrow. I mean you think about you were a number of occasions where whether it was JP or Jordan or Albert, they get the ball right around the top of the box or right inside the box and they either put a shot in the case of I believe it was I want to say it was Albert in the first half puts it wide left, or Jordan you know, smashed one. Christian had one. Jordan smashed one in the second half that was wide right of the
goal at the north end. JP was to the goalie exactly. JP had the great chance to the goalie. There's all these chances, and it sort of is like you play the law of averages, right, If in the game against LFC you get all of those chances, including restnecks goal, I would bet, just based on the law of averages, no more than one of those goes in if you play like you did against ALFC. Yeah, I mean i'd have to agree, you think. I mean, even in
the first half, shots were eight to zero. That's when as a player and as a fan, you're seeing, all right, we have one zero lead. They haven't had any chances, but you do start to get nervous. Yeah, but in the second half they they came out and did a great job. I mentioned at the beginning of this that I didn't think Dallas did a great job of kind of that transition in the second half and starting to press a little bit more. But the Sounders, we have to get
credit to them because they did exactly what they needed to do. Just like I said in pregame was if it's all the same, then I could see Ladero coming in. You put in some experienced guy to kind of kill the game, and he did awesome. The energy that he brought on was amazing. I loved seeing him just give absolutely everything for that second half. Yeah, it is terrific. I'm with you. And now he gets another.
Yeah, shot at it right with Los Angeles. And you know, Jackson, you were saying, Okay, he'll probably come in at the sixtieth minute. Well he didn't come in until the seventieth minute. Those ten minutes for the wrong attitude and the wrong kind of player turned them off. He did
not get turned off. He came on, as Lamar said, with good energy and it's I used to come off the bench once in a while, and when you're confident coming off the bench, you kind of look at your teammates like, all right, here we go, we're gonna we're gonna get better. You have the same I'm going to give you a spark, and he kind of took the bowl by the horns there and directed the last seven
minutes. If there was a heat map of this game in the second half, thirty eight to thirty nine minutes, it would have all been in the Dallas half. But in the last seven minutes we were we were pinned in for a little bit, and so Settle did really well to weather it and knew who rebounded, didn't He Yeah, yeah, yeah, I had a great game. And I think that's always gonna that's always gonna happen right end of any game. If one team is out, they're gonna get pushed for
it, especially in playoffs. This is the last opportunity they had. I thought that would come a little bit sooner. But kudos to the Sounders. Yeah, absolutely, so they kept him on the back foot and moving forward tonight, so to the Western Conference semifinals and a couple of weeks against ALFC. We'll continue talking about this one did Nothing win tonight over FC Dallas here in the first round of the playoffs. Should be noted this first round was
a best of three. All the next rounds all the way through. Emont's Cup is a one off with overtime. Weird situation, but right with overtime. Yeah, yeah, exactly were next extra thirty for the next round. So like soccer, back to back to it. Yeah, that's exactly right. We'll take your break here on the bus maatch show. We'll come back
and continue to react to the one and nothing win tonight. I'll mention Sounder's e FS Soccer is presented by Providence, Swedish official health care partner of Sounders FC. goal for the Sounders on unless win nights. Out of nothing. It's Russnick who finds the ball in the back of the net to put the Sounders won't goal up on the night Sounders using that goal or Emerald Queen Casino play the match, score that one and they win by that one. Is taking care of business brings you in. The Sounders took care of business tonight with they
want Nothing playoff win over REFC Dallas. They move on to the Western Conference Semifinals in two weeks against lafc In the Play of the match is presented by Emerald Quing Casino, the betting capital of the Northwest. Let's start quickly with this segment by talking about that play because it comes, as Danny said,
out of nothing. It comes off of a restart. But Joel Paulo themar that ball, and I know the Athletic TV broadcast cut to a replay and didn't actually show it, but we all saw and that ball from Duel Paulo to Russneck was just sensational. Yeah, I think think just taking advantage of a mistake. Right, we talked about I talked about it being difficult to break any team down when they're in the low block, And where does it
come from? This opportunity, you know, didn't come from that. They were trying to stretch, made a mistake, and you have two great players who actually made the most of it. And that's what it's gonna take a lot of the times is somebody doing something special. And Jopolo had a great pass right and behind the defense. Rizniek recognized that he could get in behind
and ended up making a great shot. Perfectly weighted pass. Those are not easy to finish, right, you're kind of coming across your body and h and we saw it here in game one where Ferrera had a couple of chances. Yeah, right, and you just it really it's funny, you know, you think about the game, you think about all the shots Seattle had versus what Dallas had, and it comes down to one guy executing right and keeper comes out pause is a good job, gets a little bit of his
leg to it. But that's the difference maker. You know what guys in that at one moment of the quality because that ball is easy to kick out a bounce ye right for jamp puts too much weight on it. Baus comes out, cuts off the angle, easy to kick out of bounds, hard angle for his neck to come across the left foot to get hit it back across the goal. And you think of all the chances that the Sounders had, that was one of the harder, harder, harder ones to finish.
But like you were saying, the probability of something going in when you have that many chances, something's going to go in. Now on the other side, I think Lamar you mentioned this and I think it was right, totally right. In the first segment was how Dallas in the second half. We expected so much more from them, and you know, honestly, if I'm a Dallas fan right now, I am, you know, looking at Nico Estevez and saying, what were you doing? Because that pressure just really didn't
come at all. I mean, their first shot of this game was in the eighty ninth minute. They didn't press numbers for it until like five minutes to go very weird. But at the same time, it's one of those things where we didn't expect them. We we thought it was a chance they sit in a low block and they kind of to say we'll play for penalties. They didn't do that, and probably some of that's giving up a goal in a thirty sixth minute, But it was just interesting to see how how
Dallas built offensively, especially without Hayes, who's Ferrera. It was confusing at times. They still had a couple of chances thanks to a little bit of nervy moments there from Jackson Reagan. But overall, I think overall you got to look at the Sounders defense and said, you came up big in the
moments you had to come up big. I wonder how long they had before they knew Issus Ferrera was out and how long they had to prepare and understand because it seemed like it seemed like the tactics should have been maybe a little bit different. I talked about guys on their team stepping up because they were missing some of their their top players, and that can always be a caveat for anybody to end the season as well. You know, we we limped
into that last game. But also the players that did come and sit on the field, they nobody showed that special moment. There wasn't anybody that stepped up, right, Like, who could we say their best player was? I'm not sure I could pick somebody out right, well and again sixteen shutouts, right, So yeah, but yeah, no difference maker, No guy that makes you nervous or makes you day, it makes you feel like at
any moment. But I did feel when they put balls in the box, and we're quite direct, maybe not pretty, but it puts Seattle on their heels right backpedaling toward their own goals. So, but kudos to the Sounders, you know, I think Brian Schmetzer said it yesterday practice at the three to one loss at Dallas. He said, hey, you got to give them credit, and tonight Sounders, they created the chances, so they earn the win, right And and there's a reason we're in second place in the
Western Conference right, not where Dallas is. So onto La ont La in about two weeks for sure, you know. Overall, you know, Jackson Reagan, I just wanted to communicate this. At the start of the game, he played a little bit nervy. This is his first ever you know, winn or go home, do or die, whatever you want to use.
Playoff game. You know, last week doesn't really count because Dallas was you know, if Dallas would you still have a game three, right, So this was Jack's and Reagan's first ever you know, winner take all playoff game, and I think you saw that at the very start of this game. But you certainly saw him calm down as the game went on. And I think against LAFC, I think all those nerve nerves will be gone.
He's now a veteran enough to be able to to stand up big in a game like l a f C. In the semi final, we're joined by Diego Audio here Digga before we hit a break, just really quick, just your opening thoughts and get your take on the one and nothing win tonight at REFC Dallas. Yeah, let's there, you go. Yeah, Well, the most important thing is so easy to win. We talked about it during
the pregame. Right at the end of the day, even though it's a one nail, the result is there and you advanced to their next round. Obviously, I think that the last few minutes the Sounders suffered more than they should because especially they dominated the entire game, and you know, but that's
that's how soccer is, right. I think now you have to think about, okay, we have you know, I would say almost two weeks to as a break and then think about the next opponent, and it's it's you know, LAFC, right, So that's going to be a different challenge. And I think now the Sounders is going to be a I would say that's
the biggest challenge that they're going to have in this season. So I think it's good also to recover, I would say, players are healthy, and also to think about and you know, different alternatives also if things are not working right. So yeah, I had the chance to talk to Nicolodeo actually after the game. He was definitely he said like he wants to play more minutes. Obviously, you know, being on the field, he understands the
decision from match matter well. So he's like he's looking forward to to that match against LAFC and hopefully he's one of the biggest players that in that matchup. Let's take a break and let's talk about LAFC ahead, because we've seen it a couple of times this year. Draw up here in Seattle lost down at LAFC where the Sounders were down like five starters. So we'll talk about
exactly the offensive powerhouse is LAFC. The wild match that we will have ahead here in two weeks at Luminfield More next on the post match show Sports Radio ninety three point three kJ R FM. They were in the CONCACAFF Champions League Final. They
kind of embarrassingly lost that series. Diego, I'll start with you. This is an LFC team that finished third place, fourteen to ten and ten fifty two points, one below Seattle, fifty four goals scored and thirty nine given up. They are a very very good soccer team. Yeah, as we were saying the previous segment, that's the biggest challenge the Sounders are gonna have this season, and it's i mean one of the good things though, is it's it's here, right, it's at lumin Field. That game and that
definite leads. It's you know, plays an advantage for the Seattle Sounders also when you know he'storically when they play against LAFC in MLS playoffs, Sounders have done that. You know, they've been able to do events right so so I think it's going to be a good test. Definitely, there's some things they need to fix, especially in the back. I think we talked about doing the game. I think there's some enforced errors that they need to to
fix, especially when you play against an LAFC. You have a Deni Bwanga who's you know, top goal scorer of the of the league, and he's not going to miss right if he has one shot. So I think that that's also how to tight tighten spaces in the back, but also play their game. Ball possessions got important for you know, to take it away from a good LAFC team. Pete, what are you seeing from from LFC. Well, you look at Bowlong up front with twenty three goals. Vela has
got nine goals, but he's also got thirteen assists. It's just a very very good team. When you look at their roster, you think of what Garth Logerway used to say, we're built for this, right and they're kind of with Chilling at the back. You know he's coming near the end of his career, but that's good leadership. It's a very good team. We've had some pretty fun playoff games with l A FC during the Bob Bradley days,
Seattle down and beat them in Los Angeles. So now at this point, like this game here, I mean, this is a Seattle team that's top of the table against the Dallas team that's near the middle to the bottom, right in the eighth to ninth place, and LAFC is going to be very very good. So and it's one game, so we've got to come in and you know, we created a lot of chances today. If we'd gotten two goals, it could have been an easier path. So I think
the margins get tighter as we advance through the playoff bracket. Yeah, I'm excited for this game. I think this is going to be diego. You said it the game of the playoffs, especially for the Sounders. I kind of like how we match up, Like, yes, they have very very dangerous people, so we can't make those mistakes. I thought the Sounders tightened
everything up, especially compared to last game. We're at home. Michelle said, nineteen home game win streak in the playoffs that're like in regulation like two years ago, twenty eighteen in Portland. I don't believe in streak personally, but that's nice, but still having a great I like this regulation. That's funny. I heard that's that I had to pick it out. But anyway, I mean being at home Jackson, like you said, thirty three thousand
people, this is going to be an amazing game. It's going to be amazing. I mean I expect, you know, a it'll be a weekend game, so I think you'll get a little bit more crowd than mad be its conference semifinals. It's the next round. I need no reason. Come on, people like if you if you're listening, you're on the fence. Sounders FC dot com slash tickets tomorrow morning, tickets on sale ten am. Get your seats. Let's pack this building with forty thousand plus people. Let's
make lafc walk in here and from minute one feel this environment. Feel this crowd. Uh and and hear you know blue sky. I want to I want to feel the crowd coming up. I thought it was to the difference the extra three four five thousand walk ups right or ye, single teas there were a ton of single tickets tickets. Yeah, I thought it made a big difference. I thought, Brian, I know, Ryan Schpetzer said it
yesterday. He was really pleased about that, and the players responded. When we started going the last ten minutes and the crowd started getting behind it, you could feel it coming. So it's it's an important thing. And then we would get a chance to host the next round, right, I mean, that's pretty fantastic. We've won an MLS Cup here in this stadium, and you know, with each round, I hope the crowds get bigger and bigger and lamar. I mean when a playoff atmosphere, the crowd regular season
is nice, but you have forty thousand for a playoff game. I imagine as a player on the field, you feel that. I was gonna say for anybody that thinks that that's just not true, that crowd like it absolutely is the player's feet off that as soon as we hear the crowds starting to get a little bit hype, I mean, the adrenaline, the pride goes up, absolutely everything. So and that's speaking from somebody who's been on both sides of it as well. On the other side one time, amazing that
they hated you and then they loved you. Yeah, lost, everything is good. Only about two hours in between well great stuff. I mean we're so excited. I can't wait to see y'all here in two weeks for Sounders
