Well, we're finally here Decision Day and the match we've honestly been looking forward to as soon as the schedule came out. It's Sounders Timbers here in Seattle for the first time in twenty twenty four, and it's on this final day of the regular season, and the stakes honestly are at the level we couldn't even.

Imagine the time that schedule came out.

Cascadia Cup on the line today it's the one hundred and twenty second all time meeting between Seattle and Portland and soccer and tonight the winner takes home the Cascadia Cup.

Meanwhile, Tye would also send it down to Portland. But that's not all. Sounders playing to decide a spot in CONCACAFF Champions Cup. A win will get them a spot in next year's CONCACAFF Champions Cup. And oh, by the way, we are still looking at seeding. Sounders fighting for the either the third or fourth seed in the West, Timbers playing for the eight or the nine seed, which could been going on the road or hosting that play in game on Wednesday, Brad, Michelle Jackson Felts here for the

Yeah, I think this is a massive one. And like you said, when you first see the schedule, these are the matchups that you look for. And what I like about it is oftentimes you kind of limp into the playoffs because you might play an out a conference team on the last game of the season. It might it might be someone else, right, but this is decision day against your rival. This is already a playoff game, and that's a matter of fact. And the Sounders haven't won

But I think that is a long time good mojo that you are here on the broadcast tonight bringing that energy right in here.

Let's hope. So someone did park in my parking spot tonight, and every time I parked there, we won the game, So I gotta have words. I told Gens saved that parking spot for them, and he didn't do it tonight. And we've seen it time and time again that when these players go away to national team camp or get experience with their national teams, they come back with a little bit of extra juice, a little bit of extra confidence. Wanting to continue with that I can imagine.

Here when you're back with the club, but also to continue that high of performance, to continue getting those national team looks.

You know, I see both sides of that, because sometimes you go away to a national team camp and your head gets a little bit big, the level is higher, so you come back with expectation that everyone is it like playing on a national team, and that's just sometimes not the case, and so you have to temper your expectations. When you're a player like Obed, as a young player getting his first dip in with the full national team,

Kids exactly right, and Obed slides back into the exact spot as he said he has been in for so much of this last stretch with Jul Paula out Duel Paulo. By the way, he is off the injury reports. He is on the bench night for Brian Schmitzer. Quickly on that Providence Swedish team health reports, Cody Baker, Josh Attencio, They're the two names on it. If you're leading a match one nothing in whether it's tonight, whether it's playoffs, if you're leading a match one nothing in the seventieth minute and you have JP to be able to bring off at one hundred percent, that's a hell of a weapon for Brian Schmitzer.

It's incredible, and especially we've seen it, you know, all season long. Schmetzer's not been scared to make it known that if someone is not playing to the.

Level he expects to see, you're gone. You're gonna be pulled. You've got the next guy ready to go on the bench. And so adding just even.

More depth with the return of him being becoming healthy again. I just you couldn't have it at a better time as we close out the regular season here today and gear up for the postseason and hopefully a really successful run over the next month and a half.

For Seattle? Albert Russknack. He's been on fire as of late, and anytime your number ten is playing as well as he has, I think any team would like to have him in this league. And he's been able to actually unlock the opposing defense and we've asked that for the past four years and he's finally doing it. Yes, it's a little bit of a change in position. He couldn't do it as an eight, but now he's in the ten.

For me, I'm going with Paul Rothrock.

This is his first decision day and his first opportunity to help the Sounders.

Bring home a trophy in the Cascadia Cup.

And he has time and time again this season stepped up to the moment and has just been fantastic to watch. And I think this is another one of those matches where he could make a huge impact, and again just kind of adds more already of who Paul Rothrock is with this team.

I love that I'm gonna go al trolldon.

As I look at this eleven, I kind of look at the guys who kind of, over the course of their career have had the most kind of gumption, you know, chip able to kind of just get in somebody's face and with an enormous attitude, and maybe he just lose a little bit of the nice season.
