Episode description

This is one of those episodes that I really spent a lot of time and thought in before I started to record. On some episodes the thoughts just fly out and I could talk forever, but I know peoples attention spans aren’t that great so I keep them short. I remember I started thinking about this almost a year ago when I was getting ready to go for my monthly training in soft tissue diagnosis and treatment and right before I left my mom said to me, “how much more training do you need?” I responded back with the line that I will always be improving and always getting better. I do believe that in my heart and the foundation for being excellent is to be top notch in your field and what you do. That does require ongoing training, but what happens is a majority of us soft tissue practitioners think we just need to do the training only and the rest will take care of itself. Sort of like the mantra, “if you build it, they will come.” I wish that was the case, but a lot of doctors taking all these seminars and spending a lot of money are already pretty damn good and they need to focus some effort on the other functions of the business as well. Unfortunately, the people leading these seminars keep telling you that if you just keep getting better you will succeed, but is that really the case?
