We have Givaudan perfumer Dana Schmitt on to tell us all about Carto, Givaudan's AI helper, aiding perfumers to experiment even more with the fragrances they create. But will robots replace perfumers? Not quite. So how exactly does AI get its digits into perfumery — the one art that requires a sense of smell, which robots categorically do not have?
