Episode description

In this episode we are joined by Kamaka'āina Seipp is a native artist, voyager, and Zen practitioner who has been working in the Hawaiian community for the past 15 years.

While the beginning of her career was focused on maritime education and canoe culture she has since returned to shore...connecting to 'āina (the land), 'Ohana (family) and self and exploring what are the colors of our kupuna (ancestors/elders).

During this episode, she shared about her Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome experience and how it’s impacted her connection to her body and Hawaiian culture.

Aljolynn Sperber Founder of  Lady Box (https://joinladybox.com/) and Alyx Coble-Frakes Founder of The Agenda. (https://www.theagendaperiod.com/) Are combining forces to help Women and Menstruators #ShedTheShame.

Each day there are an estimated 800 million folks experiencing menstruation- so it should be something we can talk about openly and freely.

Aljolynn conceptualized this campaign as a way to donate to WaterAid (check out the campaign -http://shedtheshame.co ) and this podcast is a way to further amplify the message.
